- 0:53Speaker 1: hot topics or whatever, I feel kind of bad because
- 0:56Speaker 1: I give my honest opinion. But it makes me feel
- 0:59Speaker 1: bad when people are mean about me. And I'm kind
- 1:01Speaker 1: of mean about people on the podcast for an eye
- 1:04Speaker 1: I for no, I mean about people who like don't
- 1:07Speaker 1: care about, like they wouldn't even know who I am,
- 1:09Speaker 1: and I'm like, I hate Lizzo and I'm like, what
- 1:12Speaker 1: what is happening? Why are you saying that people don't
- 1:16Speaker 1: have an out of body experience? Like, shut the fuck up.
- 1:18Speaker 1: You don't even know this person. How do you hate
- 1:19Speaker 1: someone you don't even know?
- 1:20Speaker 2: I hate what she does?
- 1:21Speaker 3: But guess what?
- 1:23Speaker 4: You could come on tomorrow and say I love Lizzo.

- 1:28Speaker 2: We have eighty D eighty HD. We forget and we forgive.
- 1:32Speaker 1: What I really like about the bonus episode is it
- 1:35Speaker 1: sticks to making fun of me myself and I oh, yeah,
- 1:39Speaker 1: you know and you guys.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I sweat. Usually during these it's a little bit
- 1:44Speaker 2: more lighthearted they are.

- 2:08Speaker 4: in grade school that has really impacted who you are today.
- 2:13Speaker 3: We'll share our stories first and then go to yours.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Okay, Easton, you want to start us off.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a lot. I was short, curly headed, but
- 2:22Speaker 2: there was.
- 2:24Speaker 5: I got my license at school through their driver's head
- 2:28Speaker 5: and the seat was broken.
- 2:31Speaker 2: It's five five five six, and it's not.
- 2:34Speaker 1: That short as tall as I am.
- 2:37Speaker 5: Yeah, but for for a little for a boy, for
- 2:39Speaker 5: a boy like everybody else is, like you may have been.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I may have been five to four.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I is a little guy, a little pintoban. I
- 2:49Speaker 1: was a little It's so cute.
- 2:51Speaker 2: That's why nobody ever let me flick their pinto bean.
- 2:55Speaker 1: But moving off filthy.
- 2:59Speaker 5: I took my my test in a Geo, a Chevy Geo.
- 3:04Speaker 1: If you take it through Skyline High School? Yeah, okay,
- 3:07Speaker 1: to pay.
- 3:09Speaker 2: The he was. He was also the driver teacher.
- 3:13Speaker 3: I love small towns for ship like that.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Small town.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Salt Lake City, Utah. Five aay's school bitch, but I
- 3:21Speaker 1: recognized to pay is to Roger. I grew up in
- 3:27Speaker 1: Salt Lake City to pay time?
- 3:30Speaker 3: Where am I right?
- 3:31Speaker 1: But you are from You're not going to talk to
- 3:34Speaker 1: us about small towns. I love Fingers, but you are
- 3:39Speaker 1: from finger Lakes, small town. You wouldn't know a small town,
- 3:43Speaker 1: wouldn't you?
- 3:44Speaker 5: I know, if it was a small town, I wouldn't
- 3:45Speaker 5: got made fun of as much, probably, but it was
- 3:47Speaker 5: big town, big kids. Little guy can ship talked, right,
- 3:51Speaker 5: But I had to take my drivers from Roger to
- 3:54Speaker 5: pay and I had to sit on my book bag.
- 3:59Speaker 2: I couldn't reach them.
- 4:00Speaker 6: That oldering, Well it really shaped who I was. And
- 4:05Speaker 6: when you get out of the car, you know they
- 4:07Speaker 6: were all watching and I had to get the book bag.
- 4:10Speaker 2: How was.
- 4:12Speaker 3: You're so sweet?
- 4:14Speaker 2: How old were brown? Yeah, it's fifteen sixteen, depending on.
- 4:19Speaker 3: You were that small that smaller?
- 4:21Speaker 2: I got my eyes.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I wish you could see Easton. There's a picture of
- 4:26Speaker 1: me and Easton. We're only two and a half years apart. Okay,
- 4:30Speaker 1: there's a picture of me and Easton in Hawaii, and
- 4:35Speaker 1: I think I was eighteen.
- 4:36Speaker 2: You were sixteen.
- 4:38Speaker 1: You were the tiniest little.
- 4:41Speaker 2: You could have I was. You could have guessed I
- 4:42Speaker 2: was eleven one percent.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Like the way that we looked at was like you
- 4:46Speaker 1: guys waited a long time to have kids. It's like, no,
- 4:48Speaker 1: they're two and a half years apart, But do you
- 4:50Speaker 1: remember we're standing next to that big.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Like give me that.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Yeah, we couldn't find it, to find it, but yeah,
- 5:01Speaker 1: I know, I know, but it just goes to show
- 5:03Speaker 1: like how small and immature he.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Was was I lied on my ID. I know that
- 5:08Speaker 5: for my driver, I was one hundred and thirty pounds. Well,
- 5:14Speaker 5: I said, I was probably like one hundred and ten,
- 5:17Speaker 5: not even maybe I put five to five and I
- 5:20Speaker 5: was probably five three and a half five four, still
- 5:23Speaker 5: talking to perty at eighteen.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Okay, so you were late.
- 5:26Speaker 2: See, But that's the thing. I look, I'm thirty one,
- 5:28Speaker 2: do I look at No?
- 5:29Speaker 1: No, no, you sure don't. You sure doesn't.
- 5:32Speaker 3: So that shaped who you are today. That's what you're
- 5:34Speaker 3: so funny.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Yeah, but he was so cute you had to hold on.
- 5:37Speaker 2: That's the other thing. I really do think.
- 5:38Speaker 5: I had to make jokes about my height, my little
- 5:42Speaker 5: things like that always.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And I show you a picture of Easton as like
- 5:45Speaker 1: a tiny little toddler.
- 5:46Speaker 4: We'll post this to you guys.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Are you fucking kidding me?
- 5:52Speaker 2: That was tenth grade?
- 5:53Speaker 1: Do you die or do you die?
- 5:58Speaker 3: Drivers?
- 6:01Speaker 2: He's so cute.
- 6:02Speaker 1: So like, Easton was always just the cutest. And I
- 6:05Speaker 1: remember like Sunday night football and my dad would move
- 6:09Speaker 1: the furniture so Easton could duct tape the football field
- 6:13Speaker 1: and he would watch the play so tiny, no you
- 6:16Speaker 1: were talking, but with his curly hair, and he would
- 6:21Speaker 1: watch the play and then he'd redo it, he'd reenact
- 6:24Speaker 1: the play. He loved the green Bay Packer, the green
- 6:27Speaker 1: Bay Packer. And then you go like this, can I
- 6:31Speaker 1: see my back pad?
- 6:32Speaker 3: Dad? Dad?
- 6:33Speaker 1: Can you see my backpad? And then he would go
- 6:35Speaker 1: outside and like slam himself into the grass because he
- 6:39Speaker 1: liked to be scuffed up.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Okay, this makes me want can.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I tell you? The only reason that I sit there
- 6:46Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh, a boy would be so much
- 6:49Speaker 1: fun is I think about t T in the backyard
- 6:52Speaker 1: and him coming in and he wanted all the he
- 6:54Speaker 1: had to have the new cool face mask that like
- 6:57Speaker 1: so and so running back from the tight Tennessee Titans had.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I was good.
- 7:03Speaker 5: I was I was not really good. And then everybody
- 7:06Speaker 5: hit puberty and that's and I didn't know.
- 7:08Speaker 1: What I remember.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Dream was lost.
- 7:10Speaker 1: But I remember during Little League, people across, like from
- 7:13Speaker 1: other teams would be like that number eleven. He's fucking
- 7:17Speaker 1: quick on his feet and tiny, so tiny but quick,
- 7:22Speaker 1: little tiny, skinny legs.
- 7:24Speaker 3: It was so cute.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Teaching.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I was nice.
- 7:27Speaker 5: I was nice, played cornerback, and then you know, ninth grade,
- 7:30Speaker 5: everybody stepped going and I didn't grow so cornerbacks.
- 7:34Speaker 1: You know, look at you now on the given this dreams.
- 7:42Speaker 5: I'm just glad I didn't, you know, peak then, right, right,
- 7:45Speaker 5: A lot of a lot.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Of peaks, buddy, A lot of people.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Peaked, and I'm very blessed I didn't.
- 7:49Speaker 5: I rather talk ship on myself and who I was
- 7:52Speaker 5: than going I was fucking in the locker rooms and
- 7:56Speaker 5: then being well, that's what's.
- 7:59Speaker 1: So important for people with understand is like junior high
- 8:01Speaker 1: in high school and like the popular kids, don't worry
- 8:04Speaker 1: about it because they're gonna suck later three or four
- 8:07Speaker 1: years of your life. And I've seen the people who
- 8:09Speaker 1: were popular in my high school.
- 8:11Speaker 4: You don't want to be a high school peaker, even
- 8:13Speaker 4: if you were popular then and you're popular now, hopefully
- 8:15Speaker 4: you're more popular now.
- 8:16Speaker 3: You don't want to be a high school peaker.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Sorry, guys, true, you certainly do not. You should just
- 8:20Speaker 1: be kind throughout throughout school because you could be peaking,
- 8:24Speaker 1: or you could be thriving then and now and all
- 8:27Speaker 1: the things, but just you know, like be nice to
- 8:29Speaker 1: the little pintobein nice on you Jessica, I want you
- 8:34Speaker 1: to go. Okay, Actually, yours is probably really good. To
- 8:37Speaker 1: let me go, oh go, because I don't want to
- 8:39Speaker 1: let people down. There's really good too. Yours is really
- 8:41Speaker 1: good too. But I think that my like grade school,
- 8:48Speaker 1: where things kind of shifted was when that boy who
- 8:56Speaker 1: I was sitting next to and I had farted, and
- 8:59Speaker 1: then I blamed it on him, Matt. I'm not going
- 9:03Speaker 1: to use his name, but we were sitting there during
- 9:06Speaker 1: story time and you know how you you sit cross legged?
- 9:10Speaker 3: You it's always during story time, hold.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Your legs like this as a kid. Do you know
- 9:14Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. Yeah, And we had just had
- 9:17Speaker 1: snack and milk and it slipped and then everyone looked
- 9:21Speaker 1: at me and I went like this, I pointed to him,
- 9:25Speaker 1: so everyone made fun of him, and after that he
- 9:27Speaker 1: told everyone that I was a man.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Good for him. Don't let this bitch fuck you up.
- 9:33Speaker 2: He farted. Hell no, she got a dick.
- 9:41Speaker 1: And I remember that fucker who was blonde named John.
- 9:50Speaker 2: These guys a dick, but don't help the guy that
- 9:53Speaker 2: you blamed. Yes, I said it.
- 9:57Speaker 3: I said it.
- 10:00Speaker 1: They called the russ In house and Candace was talking
- 10:03Speaker 1: to John and I get on the phone and he goes, oh,
- 10:06Speaker 1: you do sound like a man. You're a man, And
- 10:10Speaker 1: I was so embarrassed.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Well, think of what you did to him in that classroom, I.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Said, hearted.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Gender.
- 10:20Speaker 3: I was like, what the fuck?
- 10:21Speaker 1: And I was already so insecure about my voice and
- 10:25Speaker 1: how big my hands are. And then he made up
- 10:29Speaker 1: that rumor and it was very, very upsetting.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Job, Jeff, I'm sorry she blamed farting on you during
- 10:38Speaker 4: reading time, but how.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Yes, and then he threatened me. He threatened my life.
- 10:45Speaker 3: I'm calling the police.
- 10:46Speaker 1: We had to go into the principal's office. I wrote
- 10:49Speaker 1: about it in my book.
- 10:51Speaker 3: You did, I don't know?
- 10:52Speaker 1: I certainly did.
- 10:54Speaker 2: We did.
- 10:55Speaker 1: We had beef from then on. It went into junior
- 10:58Speaker 1: high school.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Where's Jeff? Now peak?
- 11:00Speaker 2: Jem peaked?
- 11:03Speaker 1: Who knows?
- 11:04Speaker 2: Third?
- 11:05Speaker 1: Who knows?
- 11:06Speaker 3: Who knows? That is horrific. I'm so sorry Jeff did that.
- 11:09Speaker 1: That's why you know what?
- 11:11Speaker 5: Here's the thing, how crazy. I'm sorry Jeff did that
- 11:13Speaker 5: to you. But what you did to Jeff.
- 11:19Speaker 3: Farted? Deal, We all fart.
- 11:21Speaker 5: Why didn't you just why didn't you say we can't win.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Out in the streets for the team. Whoever smelt it telted.
- 11:36Speaker 1: She says, take one for the take one for the team.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Jeff, take one? Did you take one for the team?
- 11:43Speaker 2: I was embarrassed.
- 11:45Speaker 3: It was time to take one for the team. It
- 11:47Speaker 3: was Jeff's time.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Yeah, Jeff, Oh, Jeff, I feel for you.
- 11:52Speaker 3: I bet Jeff still remembers that. By the way, I.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Hope he's still going around saying she has a dick.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I have the biggest dig out. Don't don't even fucking
- 12:02Speaker 1: hustle the hustler.
- 12:02Speaker 2: All right, we call her tripod trypod.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Oh, that's my favorite thing to say to the boys
- 12:08Speaker 1: on vander Pubm. I'm like, if you want to have
- 12:10Speaker 1: a dick measuring contest, I will always win. So just
- 12:12Speaker 1: fucking fall back, true, true, tweet A little dick is
- 12:15Speaker 1: what James Kennedy calls them. All right, Jessica, I.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Go okay, I'll make these quick.
- 12:22Speaker 4: I have two defining moments in grade school, and number
- 12:25Speaker 4: one I was in fifth grade. I'm from a small town.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Fifth and sixth grade we're combined. There was only four
- 12:30Speaker 4: girls in fifth grade. The cool girls were in sixth grade.
- 12:33Speaker 4: We shared a classroom. I didn't get along with the
- 12:35Speaker 4: girls in my grade, so I wanted to be friends
- 12:38Speaker 4: with the cool girls. I wasn't cool. I was a
- 12:41Speaker 4: little chubby little girl. So I was planning and plotting.
- 12:45Speaker 4: The girls would always walk together. We're walking to pe class,
- 12:48Speaker 4: which was across the street, and I was like, Okay,
- 12:52Speaker 4: they're talking and they're cool. Let's just see if I
- 12:55Speaker 4: can like get up next to them and say something.
- 12:57Speaker 4: So I walk up next to them and I hear
- 12:58Speaker 4: them talking, and I say something funny based off what
- 13:01Speaker 4: they said, and they all start laughing. And the one girl,
- 13:05Speaker 4: her name's Kate, we became best friends, looked at me
- 13:09Speaker 4: and she goes, she was the coolest, and she goes,
- 13:11Speaker 4: you're funny. Do you want to hang out with us?
- 13:14Speaker 4: And I was like, I didn't like I made it
- 13:17Speaker 4: into the cool group. And I think from then on,
- 13:19Speaker 4: I was like, Okay, you're if you can be. Maybe
- 13:21Speaker 4: you're not cool or pretty, but if you're funny, they'll
- 13:25Speaker 4: hang out.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Like they'll hang out with you.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Yea yeah. Yeah.
- 13:28Speaker 4: So that was in fifth grade and then when I
- 13:31Speaker 4: got a little older seventh grade, I have a very
- 13:34Speaker 4: large forehead and I say that and people go, no,
- 13:36Speaker 4: you don't.
- 13:36Speaker 3: If I pulled my banks back you'd be like, oh
- 13:38Speaker 3: you do so didn't have banks. Got made fun of
- 13:42Speaker 3: it for a while. And I was in Spanish class
- 13:44Speaker 3: and Mike s.
- 13:48Speaker 1: I was just giving them.
- 13:50Speaker 3: I will love you, Mike.
- 13:51Speaker 4: I don't know now. I mean he was in my class.
- 13:55Speaker 4: He said I was new. I was new to the school.
- 13:58Speaker 4: It was like my third day and everyone was like, damn,
- 14:01Speaker 4: that new girl has a big forehead.
- 14:03Speaker 3: And he said.
- 14:04Speaker 4: We were in Spanish class and the lights the electricity
- 14:06Speaker 4: went out in school and he uh.
- 14:10Speaker 3: The Spanish teacher was like, everyone, don't go anywhere. It's dark.
- 14:13Speaker 3: The electricity's out.
- 14:14Speaker 4: And he goes, why don't we put a light bulb
- 14:16Speaker 4: on Jessica's forehead.
- 14:17Speaker 3: It'll light up the whole school. And I was like, oh,
- 14:21Speaker 3: that's so funny. And inside I was like you and
- 14:26Speaker 3: everyone was laughing. They're like, that's so true.
- 14:29Speaker 4: And I think it's just made me stronger and it
- 14:32Speaker 4: embraced it. Oh and then I self deprecate my forehead
- 14:35Speaker 4: now to this day and I really don't mind it.
- 14:37Speaker 1: So I don't know, you know what though, like at
- 14:40Speaker 1: some point in time we should go get the hairline surgery.
- 14:43Speaker 3: I would love the hairlines my well Adam he got.
- 14:46Speaker 2: I've never noticed your forehead. That's everything I've been. You've
- 14:51Speaker 2: got a giant forehead.
- 14:52Speaker 5: I'm say, with your hair back, I've seen your hair wet.
- 14:54Speaker 5: I've never been like, that's pretty forehead.
- 14:57Speaker 4: I've noticed it more in jiu jitsu videos because I
- 14:59Speaker 4: get sweat and and then the hair gets pushed back
- 15:01Speaker 4: and I go, oh, there it is. It didn't go away.
- 15:03Speaker 4: It's still there. Yeah, but it just means I got
- 15:06Speaker 4: a big brain.
- 15:07Speaker 1: That's exactly right, Jessica, You're very intelligent. Thank you so much.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 15:12Speaker 4: And then I got caught from the basketball team in
- 15:13Speaker 4: seventh grade, so that was true.
- 15:15Speaker 1: You had a lot of traumatizing.
- 15:17Speaker 4: And I and then I went in the bathroom and
- 15:20Speaker 4: cried my eyes out. I was one of two that
- 15:23Speaker 4: got cut. And all my friends made it and we
- 15:26Speaker 4: ran up to the list.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Probably your forehead.
- 15:28Speaker 3: It's my fucking forehead.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Like she's good, but that.
- 15:32Speaker 5: Forehead, like, hey, this is going to be a distraction
- 15:36Speaker 5: for the other team.
- 15:37Speaker 1: She's only gonna make it if she wears the bang's back.
- 15:41Speaker 3: People are gonna think it's the best.
- 15:42Speaker 1: And then we have to shine the light on it
- 15:43Speaker 1: and she'll go like this, She'll shine it in their eyes.
- 15:48Speaker 2: It's like they're playing basketball in the sun.
- 15:55Speaker 1: That is so funny. I love this podcast.
- 15:58Speaker 2: I loved Jessica.
- 16:00Speaker 1: We love your forehead. It's so gorgeous.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Thank you God.
- 16:03Speaker 1: You know that was a purge for me because even
- 16:05Speaker 1: in my book, I didn't tell about the part that
- 16:07Speaker 1: he started the rumor that I was a man.
- 16:09Speaker 3: We're so sorry about that. We're gonna go.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Let's get him, fine, find him.
- 16:15Speaker 1: He's I'm sure doing cool shit. I'm doing cool shit
- 16:19Speaker 1: like all is well. You know, like I shouldn't have
- 16:22Speaker 1: said it was you that farted, Jeff. I should have
- 16:23Speaker 1: taken accountability. I wouldn't have been depending on who you ask, Apparently,
- 16:28Speaker 1: I still try to struggle.
- 16:31Speaker 5: I would said you wouldn't have had all that beef
- 16:33Speaker 5: through elementary, junior high if you.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Just yeah, I don't accountability.
- 16:38Speaker 1: There were moments that he and I would engage at school,
- 16:41Speaker 1: and I would come home when no one was home
- 16:44Speaker 1: and listen to Fighter by Christina Aguilera.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Just to get back at farty Jeff, No, just.
- 16:52Speaker 1: To feel empowered. I'm telling you, we were beefing. There
- 16:57Speaker 1: were times that I used fifty cent quotes on him like,
- 17:00Speaker 1: that's that's how I remember the timeline of beef because
- 17:05Speaker 1: I'm like, Okay, when did that song by fifty cent
- 17:08Speaker 1: come out at this point in time? Because I I
- 17:11Speaker 1: am t him those lyrics? Okay, when did I sing
- 17:13Speaker 1: at the top of my lungs in the foyer?
- 17:17Speaker 2: Fighter?
- 17:17Speaker 1: But okay, that yeah, that's when it came out, so
- 17:19Speaker 1: that had to have been this time.
- 17:22Speaker 3: It's fine, you know what. I hope he's still not
- 17:24Speaker 3: a dick.
- 17:24Speaker 4: And if he is still a dick, he's just probably
- 17:26Speaker 4: out there not doing cool shit like you just farting.
- 17:29Speaker 1: No, you know what, he's probably living a good life,
- 17:31Speaker 1: married with kids.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Lives in Utah.
- 17:33Speaker 1: So yes, he was more granola. He was not a Mormon.
- 17:37Speaker 2: He was more No.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Anyway, let's move on, go for it. What did our
- 17:41Speaker 1: friends say?
- 17:42Speaker 4: We got a lot of good things because we got
- 17:45Speaker 4: like big things and small things that happened to you
- 17:47Speaker 4: guys in grade school that stuck with you for the
- 17:48Speaker 4: rest of your lives.
- 17:49Speaker 3: So this one, oh my god relatable.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Being the only one in class not invited to a
- 17:54Speaker 4: birthday party hits the same as an adult being left out.
- 17:58Speaker 4: I hated when kids weren't invited as a kid, I
- 18:04Speaker 4: it gave me anxiety and I hate it now.
- 18:05Speaker 3: I don't think it happens as much now, do you
- 18:07Speaker 3: guys remember.
- 18:08Speaker 1: That not being invited to birthday parties.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Or seeing the kids that weren't invited.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Actually, now that you bring it up, I remember getting
- 18:14Speaker 1: going to a birthday party with Candace and our moms
- 18:17Speaker 1: were dropping us off, and when we arrived, our mom's left.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Candace went in. They shut the door in my face,
- 18:24Speaker 1: said Lawrence not invited. I was so upset. My mom
- 18:27Speaker 1: and Kristin came back, and Kristin made Candace leave the
- 18:29Speaker 1: birthday party as well. She was like, if Lauren's not invited,
- 18:32Speaker 1: then you're not going either. That I like, horrific thought
- 18:36Speaker 1: I was invited.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Yeah, that's Heartbreahm.
- 18:38Speaker 4: I'm sorry, it's terrible that didn't stick with you if
- 18:42Speaker 4: you forgot about.
- 18:42Speaker 1: It, I'm sure, like I just I live a really
- 18:46Speaker 1: great fucking life. Yeah, but I didn'tet invited to your
- 18:49Speaker 1: lay mass birthday party. And I've seen your life, like, well,
- 18:51Speaker 1: Calm's a real bitch, Like I'm fucking living the dream.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Oh yes, yes, no, Maya.
- 18:58Speaker 4: I had a family member I won't say there's five
- 19:00Speaker 4: of us kids that wouldn't get invited, and I would
- 19:03Speaker 4: and we were close, and it infuriated me every time.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Now at school, as you, I would stay back or.
- 19:09Speaker 4: To my mom would be like, the fuck, no, just
- 19:11Speaker 4: is not going if he's not invited.
- 19:13Speaker 1: I don't know if there's a lot of schools out
- 19:15Speaker 1: there like this, but there are schools in Los Angeles
- 19:18Speaker 1: that if you invite one kid from the class, you
- 19:20Speaker 1: have to invite them all. So all or none.
- 19:22Speaker 5: It we did that if you brought a snack for
- 19:24Speaker 5: the class when I was in elementary, you got to
- 19:26Speaker 5: bring a snack for everyone, not just one person.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it really affects people.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I don't really like. Now I have a really small
- 19:36Speaker 1: group of friends. So I'm invited to the places I
- 19:37Speaker 1: want to be invited to and not invited to the
- 19:39Speaker 1: places I don't want to be at.
- 19:41Speaker 4: Okay, so a lot of these so I'll read just
- 19:45Speaker 4: this one. But a lot of got called fat a
- 19:48Speaker 4: lot as a child, and now I'm not.
- 19:51Speaker 1: So that is that's a win, that is you know what.
- 19:56Speaker 4: Yes, I had my chubby years where I would get
- 20:00Speaker 4: remember my crushed Jeff, I wore a belly shirt because
- 20:02Speaker 4: I thought it was cute.
- 20:03Speaker 3: My crushed Jeff was like, Jeff, assholes.
- 20:07Speaker 4: Oh my god, Jeff, he said, I wore a belly
- 20:10Speaker 4: shirt and I like walked out. I think I was
- 20:11Speaker 4: like ten, and I was like, he's gonna love this,
- 20:14Speaker 4: and he was like, ew.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I didn't know you were fat what.
- 20:18Speaker 2: It did?
- 20:19Speaker 3: And I was like, that was rude, Jeff, and I
- 20:21Speaker 3: went in and changed.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Like, now, if you hear that someone called someone fat,
- 20:25Speaker 1: you're like, Wow, you're ignorant, you're uneducated, you're disgusting. Whereas
- 20:30Speaker 1: it seemed to be like totally for like it would
- 20:32Speaker 1: come out of people's mouths and although it didn't hit
- 20:36Speaker 1: like think about even like publications posting Tyra Banks on
- 20:40Speaker 1: the cover talking about her waking and.
- 20:42Speaker 4: Like Jessica Simpson, she's lost control of herself. And now
- 20:46Speaker 4: you look back at those pictures, you're like, what were
- 20:48Speaker 4: they talking about?
- 20:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's called ass bitch, Yeah, it's called a woman.
- 20:53Speaker 4: And I do have to say I have friends who
- 20:55Speaker 4: are you know, a close friend who's still considered over
- 21:00Speaker 4: weight and has always been her entire life, in the
- 21:02Speaker 4: amount it affected her entire life, she's like, thank god
- 21:06Speaker 4: now she's way more like accepting and positive. But it's
- 21:09Speaker 4: like traumatic for years. It is guys being like, I'm
- 21:12Speaker 4: not kidding her, she's fat.
- 21:13Speaker 1: It's like as if there's some prize. I know you're
- 21:16Speaker 1: receding and you're a sophomore. Is like if we're gonna
- 21:22Speaker 1: throw stones step in here like your brad pit. By
- 21:28Speaker 1: the way, I do not approve proof of either bad. No,
- 21:31Speaker 1: I don't. Just maybe I should use someone else.
- 21:35Speaker 4: And a lot of these, so a lot of really
- 21:42Speaker 4: sad like deaths and car accidents.
- 21:45Speaker 3: I had like a couple friends dying car accidents. So
- 21:48Speaker 3: I'll just read this one.
- 21:49Speaker 4: My best friend was killed by a drunk driver in
- 21:52Speaker 4: first grade. Don't drink and drive. Stuck with me ever
- 21:55Speaker 4: since then?
- 21:55Speaker 1: Oh my god, how could it not. That's like life
- 21:57Speaker 1: shifting and oh.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Yeah, drunk driving.
- 22:00Speaker 4: I had a friend killed by drunk driving in high school.
- 22:04Speaker 4: It's like I feel like I feel like many people
- 22:06Speaker 4: I know had a friend who died from a car accident.
- 22:09Speaker 4: Did you, guys, Yes, Yeah, it's really really devastating. Yeah,
- 22:13Speaker 4: so devastating. Sorry for your loss because that is traumatizing people.
- 22:19Speaker 5: I was thinking about like everybody in high school that
- 22:21Speaker 5: had got into a crash the UI.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Were you yeah, I yes, yeah.
- 22:28Speaker 4: You know, bullying. I'm seeing a lot of bullying is
- 22:30Speaker 4: a big one, you know. You think about it now
- 22:32Speaker 4: and it's like we tackle, not tackled. There's still a
- 22:34Speaker 4: ton of bullying, especially online, even possibly even more so
- 22:38Speaker 4: nowadays because you can do it behind a computer, you
- 22:40Speaker 4: weak pussies. But back then, bullying in person, it would
- 22:45Speaker 4: get physical.
- 22:46Speaker 3: There were physical fights.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I don't remember many things getting physical in school.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Are you serious?
- 22:53Speaker 3: Kyle?
- 22:55Speaker 5: There was a fight every Thursday, Friday, Saturday at that place,
- 22:57Speaker 5: whether it be Skyline East.
- 23:00Speaker 1: But they would say we're meeting up here to fight.
- 23:03Speaker 1: It was like dudes duking it out. I'm talking like
- 23:08Speaker 1: at school.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Someone calls there were always fights in the glass.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I was never at school.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Yeah, because you had two periods. You went first, second
- 23:15Speaker 2: in her home? Yes, after school?
- 23:17Speaker 1: Yeah, because people were rude, so I left. I left.
- 23:21Speaker 4: Yeah you've been you've out, you've been spoken out about
- 23:24Speaker 4: your bullying.
- 23:26Speaker 1: But here, okay, and I'm just throwing this out there, okay,
- 23:32Speaker 1: because my mom always talks about we can only control ourselves, right,
- 23:36Speaker 1: bullying is going to happen. I do not condone it.
- 23:38Speaker 1: I will cut a bitch who bullies my child. I've
- 23:42Speaker 1: been bullied, I've turned into the bully. I think it
- 23:46Speaker 1: would be a good idea for schools to start teaching
- 23:51Speaker 1: how to deal with the bully rather than just fixating
- 23:56Speaker 1: on don't bully, because jealousy comes into play, and jealousy
- 24:00Speaker 1: is very scary and you cannot control other people. So
- 24:06Speaker 1: I'm wondering if school because maybe they're doing this, Maybe
- 24:09Speaker 1: they are teaching, you know, they need to start teaching
- 24:12Speaker 1: self esteem. If you're feeling like you are insecure about
- 24:17Speaker 1: your body, what are things you can do to start
- 24:20Speaker 1: accepting your body at such a vulnerable age? Yeah, because
- 24:25Speaker 1: that is not easy. Yeah, you know, I feel people
- 24:28Speaker 1: are like, where'd you get your confidence? A lot? And
- 24:30Speaker 1: it's like, well, I haven't always been this way. I'm
- 24:32Speaker 1: thirty three years old and I've had people really be
- 24:35Speaker 1: unkind to me and it's like run and crawl in
- 24:38Speaker 1: a hole or don't right, So, how do we figure
- 24:42Speaker 1: out how to teach these these kids how to be
- 24:45Speaker 1: confident young people that when someone says something it's like
- 24:50Speaker 1: it rolls off my back, I don't give a fuck.
- 24:53Speaker 4: And also recognizing which I just learned this past year
- 24:57Speaker 4: and started doing these assholes, these bullies, these mean people
- 25:01Speaker 4: are the most are the ones who are either bullied
- 25:04Speaker 4: at home unfortunately by their own family and parents, or
- 25:08Speaker 4: the most insecure, sad, miserable. And it's like when you
- 25:12Speaker 4: get bullied or people are mean to me, I'm like
- 25:15Speaker 4: my thought nowadays' is like, oh, I feel so sorry
- 25:18Speaker 4: for you, Like, yeah, you are. This is really sad.
- 25:22Speaker 1: I know there's a lot that goes into it because
- 25:24Speaker 1: not everyone has the same type of home life where
- 25:26Speaker 1: they go home and they feel safe and their mom
- 25:28Speaker 1: and dad, you know, build them up and send them
- 25:31Speaker 1: back out into the big bad world like Easton and
- 25:34Speaker 1: I had. And I just I throw these things around
- 25:38Speaker 1: a lot in my mind and just hope that parents
- 25:41Speaker 1: when they choose to have kids, because it is a luxury.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I talk about this all the time. Just because you
- 25:46Speaker 1: pop out a baby does not make you a mother.
- 25:48Speaker 1: It does not make you a father. That is a
- 25:51Speaker 1: role that you take on and you earn, and that
- 25:52Speaker 1: is the highest highest honor to be a parent. So
- 25:57Speaker 1: I just hope that parents take on that role and say, like,
- 26:02Speaker 1: home is where my child feels safe. I uplift them,
- 26:05Speaker 1: I don't critique them. We have productive conversations that when
- 26:09Speaker 1: we go out into the world and the world tries
- 26:12Speaker 1: to break them down, they're prepared. And when it gets
- 26:15Speaker 1: to be too much, when they come back home, we
- 26:18Speaker 1: do the rebuilding again. I don't know, I'll just down
- 26:22Speaker 1: on the streets doing the best we can.
- 26:23Speaker 3: But it is I mean, it's it's a good point because,
- 26:26Speaker 3: like I said, there's not there's bullying online. There's bullying everywhere.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Unfortunately still so.
- 26:32Speaker 1: It's everywhere, even on this podcast. I'm not blind to
- 26:34Speaker 1: the fact that we sit there and we're like, give
- 26:36Speaker 1: music sucks, go away, Like, yes, it is hard out here.
- 26:42Speaker 4: Yeah, you just I like the idea of teaching people
- 26:45Speaker 4: to be not affected. The second I felt unaffected by
- 26:47Speaker 4: a rudeness, I'm like, ah, life is good.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I know.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I almost feel bad for people who like get through.
- 26:53Speaker 1: I have a wall thing up that if unless you
- 26:56Speaker 1: have a blue check mark, you don't get in. But
- 26:59Speaker 1: there are people who get in and they'll write me
- 27:01Speaker 1: like really intense meanings. Yeah, and I'm like, it makes
- 27:06Speaker 1: me feel bad that you took so much time, because
- 27:08Speaker 1: I could not be any less affected by this. Right,
- 27:10Speaker 1: like a lot of people being like I used to
- 27:12Speaker 1: be your biggest fan. I hate you this season. I'm like,
- 27:15Speaker 1: if only I cared, could.
- 27:16Speaker 3: You imagine taking even five.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Minutes paragraphs and she's reading a lot.
- 27:23Speaker 3: To write someone.
- 27:24Speaker 1: I know you, guys, I love you so much. But
- 27:27Speaker 1: if you're thinking about writing me some skating like, don't
- 27:29Speaker 1: waste your time. Please do something more productive because I
- 27:33Speaker 1: truly don't care. Truly like if you used to love
- 27:35Speaker 1: me and you don't this season, I don't.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Care, don't care, Go volunteer.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Sorry, I don't live my life based on what you think.
- 27:45Speaker 3: We don't know you.
- 27:46Speaker 1: I don't know you. I love you. I'm sending you
- 27:49Speaker 1: all the love, good luck, blah blah, I don't know.
- 27:51Speaker 1: I'm just kidding anyway.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Wow that was fun again.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Oh but thank you guys for writing in. There was
- 28:02Speaker 3: a lot of great ones.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Yes, I love you guys. Thank you for listening to
- 28:05Speaker 1: another episode of the Give Them Lala Bonus episode.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, you're just about to say boner episode right?
- 28:13Speaker 1: Think about with being pregnant, it's just a giant boners
- 28:17Speaker 1: all the time, Like, someone throw them out of my face.
- 28:20Speaker 2: I don't even know. No one.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Throw the boners at Lala's face.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Oh I love you guys. Thank you again. We'll catch
- 28:28Speaker 1: you next week.
