- 0:00Speaker 1: Want more Treehouse, check out our YouTube exclusive shows at
- 0:02Speaker 1: YouTube dot com. Slash at Treehouse on air.
- 0:09Speaker 2: It is time believe your worries outside and laugh with
- 0:13Speaker 2: us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Mallley along with Trey
- 0:17Speaker 2: Trendholm and Jerry Caldwell. Just when you thought the news
- 0:26Speaker 2: this week couldn't get any stupid, or we get these
- 0:30Speaker 2: two stories to close out the week. A man was
- 0:38Speaker 2: caught being a dead deer. Uh, and bone smashing is
- 0:49Speaker 2: going viral. I think I'm going to start with the
- 0:55Speaker 2: man being a dead deer and then we'll awkwardly segue
- 1:02Speaker 2: into bone smashing. And I hope to god you don't
- 1:05Speaker 2: know what that is yet, and if you do, just
- 1:07Speaker 2: pretend you don't.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I I can't even fathom what, because I'm sure it's
- 1:18Speaker 1: not just what the name would imply.
- 1:21Speaker 2: No, because it's twenty twenty six. Nothing is that simple anymore.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Is Is that a gen z lingoed term?
- 1:32Speaker 3: Probably?
- 1:33Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, let's start in Henderson, Kentucky, shall we? A
- 1:46Speaker 2: Kentucky man covered in fur was arrested after allegedly having
- 1:53Speaker 2: sex with a dead deer. Did you ever see Fletch
- 2:00Speaker 2: with Chevy Chase and Randall Cobb. Randall Cobb was the
- 2:05Speaker 2: guy who was in the cell already when chevy Chase
- 2:07Speaker 2: gets in there. Do you remember what Randall Cobb's character
- 2:10Speaker 2: was guilty of doing. No, it was in a dead horse. Okay,
- 2:20Speaker 2: I'm going to show you the photo of the Henderson,
- 2:23Speaker 2: Kentucky man who was caught in a dead deer, and
- 2:27Speaker 2: you tell me if there's a resemblance to Randall Tech's
- 2:29Speaker 2: cob in Fletch Lives. Oh my, yeah. I mean it's
- 2:36Speaker 2: not exact because in Fletch Lives, Randall TeX's cob was
- 2:39Speaker 2: wearing makeup. But seriously, you put at a little bit
- 2:44Speaker 2: of rouge on this Fellah, maybe a little blue eyeshadow.
- 2:49Speaker 2: It's close. Anyway. A Kentucky man was arrested after he
- 2:54Speaker 2: allegedly engaged in sexual activity with a deceased animal. Alan
- 3:00Speaker 2: Osborne was taken into custody after he allegedly engaged in
- 3:04Speaker 2: sexual relations with a dead deer. That's basically two leads
- 3:08Speaker 2: back to back in the same story. I guess the
- 3:10Speaker 2: folks at w e h T w e h T
- 3:15Speaker 2: in Kentucky thought there's no way they're going to believe
- 3:18Speaker 2: it if we only say at once, so let's let's
- 3:20Speaker 2: double up. When speaking with the outlet, the Central City
- 3:24Speaker 2: Police Department said that a man was driving through an
- 3:27Speaker 2: area in Muhlenberg County when he noticed another man engaged
- 3:31Speaker 2: in the sexual intercourse with a deer on the side
- 3:35Speaker 2: of the road. Fellas couldn't even get a room. Yeah,
- 3:43Speaker 2: I'm sure there's a motel nearby. The witness then called nine.
- 3:51Speaker 2: And now that I'm reading this, I'm feeling inspired and
- 3:54Speaker 2: I feel like my weekend assignment is to write a
- 3:58Speaker 2: nine one because for one, it'd be it'd be fun
- 4:06Speaker 2: to do it, and two, I want to hear the
- 4:08Speaker 2: actual nine one one call because I mean, look, nine
- 4:12Speaker 2: one one operators are trained to not you know, they're
- 4:15Speaker 2: trained to be pretty even, keel, remain calm under pressure.
- 4:18Speaker 2: But I don't know how much training can prepare you
- 4:21Speaker 2: for a caller saying, hey, there's a man on the
- 4:24Speaker 2: side of the road in a dead deer.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I you know, it's Kentucky. I just feel like the
- 4:30Speaker 1: nine one one operators and to be like, uh, just
- 4:32Speaker 1: tell Joe Bob go home.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Alan, Oh, Alan, sorry, Alan, Yeah, it's probably Alan Bob.
- 4:42Speaker 2: This is one of those rare times where they did
- 4:44Speaker 2: not include the middle name in a news story. I
- 4:46Speaker 2: don't know if that's because Alan Osborne doesn't have one,
- 4:50Speaker 2: but I'll tell you right now. If there's another Alan
- 4:52Speaker 2: Osborne in Kentucky, and odds are there are, I would
- 4:56Speaker 2: want a clarification very very quickly. Yes. Anyway, When law
- 5:02Speaker 2: enforcement arrived on scene, hopefully it has metsuits, they reportedly
- 5:07Speaker 2: found mister Osborne covered in deer fur and blood. He
- 5:13Speaker 2: was arrested and charged with the following sexual crimes against animals.
- 5:23Speaker 2: And that's actually it. But I mean, I guess that's
- 5:24Speaker 2: all you need.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Does it say it was it a dough or a buck?
- 5:29Speaker 2: It doesn't say thank you, Trey. We ask the important
- 5:33Speaker 2: questions here inside the tree house.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Because it's one thing to screw a deer. It's one thing,
- 5:38Speaker 1: you know, if you're gay too.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Yeah, come on, man, this Kentucky. They can only take
- 5:43Speaker 2: so much. Let them process the king of the dead
- 5:48Speaker 2: deer first, and then if it's also that on top
- 5:55Speaker 2: of it, that's gonna be that's gonna be a lot
- 5:57Speaker 2: for some Kentuckians too.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I mean, sodomizing a dead deer will
- 6:01Speaker 1: get you kicked out.
- 6:03Speaker 2: M m but a buck. If you're in a buck,
- 6:11Speaker 2: then I think most of your family is going to
- 6:13Speaker 2: disown you.
- 6:17Speaker 3: That's the line. Okay, most.
- 6:23Speaker 2: There's always going to be there's always going to be
- 6:25Speaker 2: a cousin, that strange uncle, that too. This guy might
- 6:30Speaker 2: be both all at the same time. So there you go,
- 6:33Speaker 2: mister Alan Osborne, the man who was found on the
- 6:36Speaker 2: side of the road in Hendersonville, Kentucky's been a dead deer.
- 6:42Speaker 2: And I think that's the least weird story to end
- 6:47Speaker 2: the week. I'm scared compared to the next one.
- 6:53Speaker 1: What has to and what? What? Where? Did you? What
- 6:56Speaker 1: happened in your life where you know that you were
- 7:04Speaker 1: driving down the road and you thought gotta give me
- 7:07Speaker 1: some of that.
- 7:09Speaker 2: This might be one of the deleted scenes from Bambie.
- 7:13Speaker 2: So they shoot Bambie's dad and then Alan Osborne finds
- 7:19Speaker 2: him on the side of the road.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Bambi are Deliverance.
- 7:25Speaker 2: It's a mashup, all right. I'm with you, Trey. I've
- 7:35Speaker 2: got additional questions as well. It's like what leads you
- 7:38Speaker 2: to I mean, look, best reality is hardcore enough on
- 7:41Speaker 2: its own, but roadkill best reality Jesus in Christ, Dude.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I've been watching this show called The Hunting Party. If
- 7:50Speaker 1: you haven't seen it, fantastic show. It's on Netflix now.
- 7:53Speaker 1: It's actually an NBC show. First season is on Netflix.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Second season is actually going on right now in NBC.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Great show, and basically the premises there's a secret prison
- 8:04Speaker 1: with all the you know, most durranged serial killers that
- 8:06Speaker 1: they were studying. Bomb goes off, killers get loose, then
- 8:09Speaker 1: they're hunting them down one by one.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Ooo. People hunting. That's one of my favorite genres.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I mean, it's just well written. If you ever saw Manifest,
- 8:24Speaker 1: I never saw that. Okay, decent show. The female lead
- 8:28Speaker 1: in that is the lead in this just really a
- 8:31Speaker 1: well done If you ever like The Blacklist, it's kind
- 8:35Speaker 1: of like that where it's like each episode is a
- 8:37Speaker 1: certain person and they go into profiling and everything else.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I want this guy on that show. I want them
- 8:43Speaker 1: to profile the dear fucker.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Yeah, someone's got to be running into that writer's room.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I got what I got the last week's episode that actually,
- 8:53Speaker 1: you know what, this should be at least a two.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Parter to close out this season. Oh all right, yeah,
- 9:03Speaker 2: now do you want to know about bone smashing? So
- 9:07Speaker 2: bone smashing is the new viral trend. There's a social
- 9:13Speaker 2: media trend going viral that involves people, mostly young guys,
- 9:18Speaker 2: hitting their own faces with a hammer.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Okay, I did not see that one coming.
- 9:34Speaker 2: The idea is about altering the structure of the face,
- 9:39Speaker 2: with mostly young guys trying to flatten their jawline or
- 9:43Speaker 2: add definition to their cheekbones. Not surprisingly, healthcare officials are
- 9:48Speaker 2: warning against this idiotic idea, pointing out that it will hurt,
- 9:53Speaker 2: it could cause big time medical trouble such as infection,
- 9:56Speaker 2: and there's no guarantee that the bones will heal in
- 9:59Speaker 2: the way that was intended.
- 10:06Speaker 1: This is what has happened because I hadn't even really
- 10:10Speaker 1: thought about it. But I'm willing to bet gen Z
- 10:12Speaker 1: a lot of gen Z have never even picked up
- 10:14Speaker 1: a hammer. They've never they never learned as a kid
- 10:18Speaker 1: about hitting your finger with the hammer.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Mm.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Because everyone who's nailed, you know, nailed, stuffed in has
- 10:28Speaker 1: hit their finger with a hammer. And you you you
- 10:31Speaker 1: you know no that that that sucks.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Yes, And and then because of the trauma that you
- 10:38Speaker 2: know occurred in your finger, you know not to do
- 10:41Speaker 2: it to your own face. So you might be onto
- 10:47Speaker 2: something there tree I don't know. I eating tide pods,
- 10:56Speaker 2: what was what was one of the other ones, like
- 10:58Speaker 2: setting yourself on fire and the shower at some point
- 11:02Speaker 2: like that was using I think it was like nail
- 11:04Speaker 2: polish remover that they would start. They would start a fire,
- 11:06Speaker 2: try to put it out of themselves, and now smashing
- 11:09Speaker 2: your own face with a hammer. Look, I think the
- 11:14Speaker 2: worst thing I did as a kid was jump off
- 11:16Speaker 2: the roof with a grocery sack or a towel on
- 11:18Speaker 2: my back, thinking I was either going to be a
- 11:20Speaker 2: paratrooper or you know, a white trash superman. But that
- 11:25Speaker 2: was still only from a single story roof. I wasn't
- 11:27Speaker 2: doing it from any higher than that. And I certainly
- 11:30Speaker 2: never picked up a hammer and thought, I wonder, So,
- 11:35Speaker 2: I don't know how to explain this. I at home
- 11:40Speaker 2: plastic surgery.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Bad self plastic surgery. Also that like like you've got
- 11:47Speaker 3: to have your wits about you to perform that, and
- 11:49Speaker 3: first strike with a hammer. You ain't got that no more.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Look, even if you've got a few imperfections that you're
- 11:59Speaker 2: trying to hammer out, well, don't do it because you're
- 12:02Speaker 2: probably going to do way more damage than you think.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Because You may start out thinking, oh, I'm just trying
- 12:07Speaker 2: to flatten this jawline or whatever, but you may end
- 12:10Speaker 2: up looking like Eric Stoles from Mask.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Yeah. How is Yeah, what happens when you shadow your
- 12:20Speaker 1: jaw and then they have to They go in and,
- 12:21Speaker 1: you know, give you a a prosthetic jaw.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Maybe they're thinking that, oh I can have I can
- 12:29Speaker 2: choose my jaw. Maybe I have no idea.
- 12:31Speaker 3: I don't pick it out of the catalog. I like
- 12:34Speaker 3: that one.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Kind of like how we used to do it super
- 12:39Speaker 2: cuts back in the day. We'd look at the guys
- 12:41Speaker 2: on the wall or look in the magazine and be like,
- 12:43Speaker 2: maybe look like this and the never did.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Yeah. But basically these guys are, you know, picking sling
- 12:51Speaker 1: blade because their jaws are wired shut.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Yeah, gonna be no biscuits in there.
- 13:06Speaker 2: This is This is part of the looks maxing trend,
- 13:09Speaker 2: by the way, looks maxing looks maxing part of the
- 13:14Speaker 2: mashing Yeah, part of the mena sphere, stop the sphere. Yeah,
- 13:24Speaker 2: Like like from the University of Nebraska Medical Center bone
- 13:27Speaker 2: smashing TikTok trend. Here are dangers of hammering your face.
- 13:33Speaker 2: You shouldn't have to explain that just saying don't hammer
- 13:38Speaker 2: your face should be enough. There shouldn't need to be
- 13:40Speaker 2: a carousel of reasons that follow as to why that's bad.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Face smash hurt bad, don't do it.
- 13:50Speaker 1: And it's even scarier because had you said University of Miami,
- 13:55Speaker 1: University of Florida, it'd have been okay. Well, at least
- 13:57Speaker 1: I know the origins. But this is Nebraska, so obviously
- 14:00Speaker 1: this is a nationwide trend. This isn't just, you know,
- 14:04Speaker 1: confined to the stupidity of Florida.
- 14:06Speaker 2: It's not. But it does have some sources here experts
- 14:10Speaker 2: in Doral, Florida. Does bone smashing actually work? A doctor's
- 14:15Speaker 2: guide to the loopsmaxing trend. University of Miami graduate Marianna
- 14:28Speaker 2: Martinez is a Board certified APR in specialized in esthetic
- 14:33Speaker 2: medicine and dermatology. She has a passion for helping her
- 14:36Speaker 2: patients with skin rejuvenation without surgery, and she practices at
- 14:41Speaker 2: Perfect Be in Doral, Doral, Florida. I don't know what
- 14:43Speaker 2: it is. I say Doral because that was the old
- 14:45Speaker 2: cigarette brand I used to smoke. The rise of the
- 14:48Speaker 2: looksmaxing trend is left MENI asking what is bone smashing,
- 14:50Speaker 2: and more importantly, does it actually work. This in depth
- 14:54Speaker 2: analysis from our medical experts unpacks the dangerous reality behind
- 14:58Speaker 2: this online phenomenon, exposing the truth about it's harmful bone
- 15:02Speaker 2: smashing results. Just say no, you don't need an entire article.
- 15:06Speaker 2: You don't need an entire article explaining all the reasons
- 15:09Speaker 2: why this is bad. You just it's bad and you're
- 15:11Speaker 2: gonna You're gonna pug up your face. On the other hand, I.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Believe in being balanced.
- 15:20Speaker 2: If you really want to smash your own face with
- 15:23Speaker 2: a hammer, I applaud your freedom to do so, because
- 15:31Speaker 2: that way we'll all be able to know who the
- 15:34Speaker 2: idiot bone smashers are, because your face is gonna be
- 15:37Speaker 2: that disfigured.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I need what.
- 15:51Speaker 2: The irony here is? This story makes me want to
- 15:53Speaker 2: hit my own face with a hammer.
- 15:55Speaker 1: M Are they trying there? I guess I'm Are they
- 16:00Speaker 1: trying to break the bone.
- 16:03Speaker 2: They're trying to break bones? Yes, and reset things and
- 16:06Speaker 2: move things around and flatten here and.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Smash without medical guidance. They think they're just going to
- 16:13Speaker 1: break something and it's gonna set like the way they want.
- 16:19Speaker 2: I think so, I mean the they if it's on TikTok.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Then it's you know, it's real.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I'm I never thought i'd get to the age where
- 16:35Speaker 1: I said this, but I am now officially old enough
- 16:38Speaker 1: to say I'm glad I'll be dead when they these
- 16:42Speaker 1: idiots come into power.
- 16:48Speaker 2: And if we're not, we know the method of our destruction.
- 17:02Speaker 2: You're listening to the Treehouse.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Visit us online that Treehouse on air dot com.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Let's get Daniel Cook from COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration into
- 17:13Speaker 2: the Treehouse for your free roof inspection and free property review.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Call the man eight three three cook DFW or the
- 17:20Speaker 2: website COOKDFW dot com. Daniel, storm season is fast approaching
- 17:26Speaker 2: and like most storms, it'll be here before you know it.
- 17:29Speaker 2: What's something that we can do to get.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Prepared, Daniel one hundred percent ride before you know. We're
- 17:35Speaker 4: gonna be here at the end of February going into March,
- 17:37Speaker 4: and that's where we start getting our thunderstorms and heavy
- 17:40Speaker 4: wind events. Uh, sometimes we have some hail, unfortunate, some
- 17:44Speaker 4: areas get some tornadoes, and some of those things you
- 17:46Speaker 4: just can't prepare for unfortunately. But you know, majority of
- 17:49Speaker 4: the time you always hear about trampolines, getting blown out
- 17:52Speaker 4: of people's yards, patio furniture, toys, different things like that.
- 17:57Speaker 4: So make sure your yard is you know, if things
- 17:59Speaker 4: go on your guard and they're not going to be moved.
- 18:01Speaker 4: They make great steaks to put around those trampoline you know,
- 18:06Speaker 4: feet on the trampoline, the posts that make some stakes
- 18:08Speaker 4: that you need to add to those. If you have
- 18:11Speaker 4: lawn equipment or pull you know, chairs, things like that,
- 18:15Speaker 4: you probably need to fold those up if you know
- 18:17Speaker 4: you're going to have some high through and set them
- 18:19Speaker 4: into a storage area somewhere. The main thing that people
- 18:23Speaker 4: forget is all of these items are projectiles. So when
- 18:26Speaker 4: you get seventy and eighty mile our winds coming through
- 18:28Speaker 4: your backyard, that's going to cause some major damage to
- 18:31Speaker 4: those items, and if they hit your windows. I saw
- 18:34Speaker 4: a trampoline fly all the way up and damage a
- 18:36Speaker 4: person's roof two years ago. Trampoline land That was like,
- 18:40Speaker 4: I don't know, eighteen feet up on the roof. You're
- 18:43Speaker 4: talking about an eight foot circumference trampoline flying all the
- 18:47Speaker 4: way up there and denting the roof and causing grain
- 18:50Speaker 4: to get into the roof. Then, so winds are damaging
- 18:53Speaker 4: windows might get blown out. You know, there's so many
- 18:56Speaker 4: things that you have to be prepared for, and you
- 18:58Speaker 4: just you know, you got to do the Yes you can,
- 19:00Speaker 4: some things you can prepare for you can't. But that's
- 19:03Speaker 4: that's a list of everything I've seen in the field lately.
- 19:06Speaker 2: And one of the things you can do to help
- 19:08Speaker 2: yourself and your home is to call Daniel to get
- 19:10Speaker 2: that free roof inspection and property review so that way
- 19:14Speaker 2: he can check to see if there's any damage on
- 19:16Speaker 2: the roof or around their property and give you some
- 19:20Speaker 2: great tips on what you can do with those things
- 19:23Speaker 2: on and around your property to help you prepare for
- 19:26Speaker 2: a storm to make things safer. Give him a call
- 19:28Speaker 2: eight three three Cook DFW or that website cookdfw dot com.
- 19:41Speaker 5: You're in the treehouse, visit us online at Treehouse on
- 19:45Speaker 5: Air dot com.
- 19:47Speaker 2: This segment of the Treehouse is borrought tous by COOKDFW

- 19:54Speaker 2: property review, called Daniel and Kerrycook today at eight three
- 19:58Speaker 2: three Cook DFW eight three to three Cook DFW or
- 20:01Speaker 2: the website cookdfw dot com. Some very sad news earlier
- 20:08Speaker 2: this week, Actor David Carodine passed away. One's it's sad
- 20:15Speaker 2: whenever you see someone that you've seen a lot of
- 20:18Speaker 2: their work, you know in Hollywood, film and television, pass away.
- 20:23Speaker 2: The timing of it is rather odd though, because we
- 20:25Speaker 2: had just decided for our very first Tree House Reviews
- 20:29Speaker 2: episode that will be on Treehouse Plus was going to
- 20:34Speaker 2: be Revenge of the Nerds. Is going to be Revenge
- 20:37Speaker 2: of the Nerds. That was decided the week before, and
- 20:41Speaker 2: then we get the news David Carodine, the star of
- 20:44Speaker 2: Revenge of the Nerds passes away. I'm not saying we
- 20:48Speaker 2: jinked him or anything like that. It's just dart unfortunate
- 20:54Speaker 2: with the coincidence.
- 20:56Speaker 1: You have to blame that on the listeners, though, don't you,
- 20:58Speaker 1: because they voted for it.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not. That's not on me. That's not on you.
- 21:02Speaker 2: That's not on us. That's that's that's tree Husse, that's you,
- 21:05Speaker 2: Treehouse Listener. You did this. You killed David Carrodine.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Rog can't even take credit for that one because he.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Actually picked Fletch, that's right, and he doesn't get credit
- 21:14Speaker 2: for that. The normal jinxing. I don't know if he released.
- 21:20Speaker 1: A cause of death suicide. Oh it was okay, So
- 21:25Speaker 1: he had battled mental health issues for a long time.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I hope we weren't the ones that did him in, Like,
- 21:34Speaker 2: oh no, that's it.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I think being typecast as yeah for your life, as
- 21:43Speaker 1: you know from Revenge of the Nerds that might might
- 21:46Speaker 1: have done.
- 21:46Speaker 2: It, it is tough because, look, there are some roles
- 21:51Speaker 2: that people do so well that they're forever known for it.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Like you said, Trig, you kind of get type cast.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Adam West as the first Batman, David Carrodine as Robert sorry,
- 22:04Speaker 2: Robert Carodine in Revenge of the Nerds.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Which one was he Lewis?
- 22:11Speaker 2: Yes, he was Lewis.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, well now he is the one who actually
- 22:15Speaker 1: spearheaded Revenge of the Nerds two and three. You know,
- 22:18Speaker 1: even you know, Anthony Edwards was smart enough to go,
- 22:21Speaker 1: I'll make a cameo in two and that's it.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Yeah, he had other things cooking. Yeah, yeah, and yeah,
- 22:26Speaker 2: we're good, and we're going to get into more of that.
- 22:30Speaker 2: We're going to get into some of the some of
- 22:32Speaker 2: the behind the scenes and some of the additional storylines
- 22:34Speaker 2: that thread throughout the Revenge of the Nerds movie. When
- 22:37Speaker 2: we do our Treehouse Reviews episode for Treehouse Plus next week.
- 22:42Speaker 2: So if you're listening now to the free version of
- 22:44Speaker 2: The Treehouse Show podcast, you can go to Patreon dot
- 22:46Speaker 2: com slash Treehouse on air. And our first episode of
- 22:50Speaker 2: the Treehouse Reviews is going to be on Revenge of
- 22:53Speaker 2: the Nerds. And a quick aside, that movie is apparently
- 22:58Speaker 2: so problematic, not a surprise. We've talked about that some already,
- 23:02Speaker 2: about some of the major issues that that film has
- 23:06Speaker 2: by today's standards, and a number of the things that
- 23:10Speaker 2: it depicts that it's almost impossible to find. Finding it
- 23:16Speaker 2: for sale hard copies on DVD's VHS is extremely hard
- 23:20Speaker 2: to find online. Finding it streaming was very difficult. I
- 23:24Speaker 2: had to text our group chat and Trey, you found
- 23:28Speaker 2: it on the freebie TV app. You can't even rent
- 23:33Speaker 2: it on Prime because usually if something's not streaming for
- 23:36Speaker 2: free somewhere, you can usually rent the thing on Prime
- 23:40Speaker 2: or Apple Plus whatever. It's not even available to rent, yeah.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Or it was on It was actually on cable TV
- 23:49Speaker 1: within the last year.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Heavily edited. I think the only thing more heavily redacted
- 23:56Speaker 2: than the Epstein Files might be the cable TV version
- 23:59Speaker 2: of Revenge of the Nerds.
- 24:00Speaker 1: It actually it wasn't even that, but it wasn't redacted
- 24:04Speaker 1: enough where it was not cringey to watch. And what
- 24:11Speaker 1: was funny then, and I think, more than anything else,
- 24:15Speaker 1: is just it gets very rapey.
- 24:19Speaker 2: It's very rapy. Uh uh, there's, there's there's or as
- 24:22Speaker 2: a lot of people will say it online, the s A,
- 24:25Speaker 2: it's actual dissulting. Uh it's.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Look.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Part of the reason we wanted to watch a review
- 24:32Speaker 2: type film or show from back in the day is
- 24:35Speaker 2: to see if it holds up. Starting with with Revenge
- 24:38Speaker 2: of the Nerds, isn't so much about seeing if the
- 24:40Speaker 2: humor holds up. It's almost more like going severely back
- 24:44Speaker 2: in time to a different era when you you got
- 24:48Speaker 2: away with these things, not just the jokes, but the
- 24:51Speaker 2: content period. And that's gonna be fascinating to see. And
- 24:58Speaker 2: I have a feeling I'm going to be laughing through
- 25:00Speaker 2: various parts of my rewatch of Revenge of the Nerds,
- 25:04Speaker 2: not because it's so funny, but because I will feel
- 25:07Speaker 2: so uncomfortable about what's happening in some of the scenes
- 25:10Speaker 2: that I'll have no other choice to it to be like.
- 25:17Speaker 2: But I still look forward to.
- 25:18Speaker 1: It it's ah, it's heavy with the eighty stereotypes.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Yes, he heavy so uh ri ip to Robert Carrody
- 25:35Speaker 2: or David Cardy, which one, damn it, there's too many Carrodines.
- 25:38Speaker 3: It's Robert Carrodine. David Carodine was the Kung Fu guy.
- 25:41Speaker 3: He died in two thousand and nine.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that's because he was the one I found in
- 25:46Speaker 2: the closet. In the closet.
- 25:48Speaker 1: But then, Robert Cardy has a brother. I forgot his name,
- 25:54Speaker 1: and I guess, I guess Robert Carrodin.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Was huh Keith Cardy.
- 26:01Speaker 1: I guess he was on a two thousand sitcom that
- 26:04Speaker 1: actually was it like Lizzie McGuire or something where.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Yeah. So, while he was typecast as Lewis in Revenge
- 26:10Speaker 2: of the Nerds for a very long time, he did
- 26:12Speaker 2: do a number of other projects, including Django Unchained, and
- 26:17Speaker 2: he was really well known for his role in the
- 26:21Speaker 2: Lizzie McGuire show on the Disney Channel.
- 26:24Speaker 1: And I believe he ended up marrying the blonde from
- 26:26Speaker 1: Revenge of the Nerds.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I think you're right. It still doesn't make it okay,
- 26:38Speaker 2: that needs to be said. Oh, but the other part
- 26:44Speaker 2: of it is also strange because next to this story,
- 26:48Speaker 2: I saw the story initially about Carrodine passing away. I
- 26:51Speaker 2: saw it initially on Fox four's website, and then off
- 26:55Speaker 2: to the side it had their celebrities we've lost so
- 26:58Speaker 2: far in twenty twenties, and it's a photo of Catherine O'Hara,
- 27:02Speaker 2: and then's supposed to be like a list of the others.
- 27:05Speaker 2: And it's so weird to think we're not even through
- 27:07Speaker 2: February yet, we're less than two months into twenty twenty six,
- 27:11Speaker 2: and there's already a list of notable names of people
- 27:16Speaker 2: who have died this year. That's how many we've had.
- 27:20Speaker 2: The Robert Duval was just the other day as well.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Now that wasn't so shocking. He was super old. Still
- 27:25Speaker 2: it's notable.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Yeah, it seems like I was telling someone the other day,
- 27:35Speaker 1: twenty twenty six. There hadn't been a lot of middle ground.
- 27:39Speaker 1: It's either been really good or really bad.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Yeah, there's there's twenty twenty six is not middling.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Buckle up buttercups.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Let's see here. So Robert Carroding that just passed away,
- 27:53Speaker 2: as one Willie Cologne, the iconic salsa musician and key
- 27:56Speaker 2: figure and the naurekan Selsa movement. Died Saturday at the
- 28:00Speaker 2: seventy five. Eric Dane, the actor who just died of als,
- 28:05Speaker 2: Robert Duval, Tom Noonan that was another one. Tom Noonan actor, writer, director,
- 28:10Speaker 2: recognized for his performances in Manhunter Heat If I remember correctly,
- 28:16Speaker 2: he was the guy in the yellow trench coat, the
- 28:19Speaker 2: bad guy in Last Action Hero with Arnold Schwarzenegger. If
- 28:23Speaker 2: like me, you saw Monster Squad back in the day,
- 28:27Speaker 2: he was the one that played Frankenstein. James Vanderbeek m
- 28:36Speaker 2: Terrence Gore, a former Major League Baseball player, died at
- 28:40Speaker 2: thirty four. Brad Arnold, founding member and lead singer of
- 28:46Speaker 2: Three Doors Down, Chuck Nagron from Three Dog Night, Demond Wilson,
- 28:51Speaker 2: who played Lamont Sanford, Catherine O'Hara, Roger Allers, best known
- 28:59Speaker 2: for co directing the Disney classic Lion King in ninety four,
- 29:03Speaker 2: cartoonist Scott Adams, and then some other people as well, Uh,
- 29:10Speaker 2: Sidney Kubrick. There, yeah, there you go. I mean, twenty
- 29:15Speaker 2: twenty six is sort of the grim Reaper for Hollywood.
- 29:19Speaker 2: And that's not just all old people. I mean that
- 29:21Speaker 2: was some young people in there, and for Dogs for Dogs,
- 29:29Speaker 2: Your daisy is on a whole separate list.
- 29:33Speaker 1: It was funny someone texted me there, Yeah, condolence is
- 29:36Speaker 1: about daisy and then they go, how's your mom? And
- 29:38Speaker 1: I go, they won't let me put her down, And
- 29:45Speaker 1: I've tried.

- 31:48Speaker 2: Well, we mentioned that yesterday, and it's like that just
- 31:50Speaker 2: because look, it's very possible they may have like a
- 31:54Speaker 2: like a like a puppy martini kind of the thing.
- 31:56Speaker 2: It's a patini, a pautini. Thank you, Trey.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Okay, okay, I would not want to see my dog
- 32:02Speaker 3: rocket drunk.
- 32:03Speaker 2: That would No, that's bad and pause in the city
- 32:06Speaker 2: absolutely frowns on that. But that doesn't mean you can't
- 32:09Speaker 2: have lookalike stuff. I mean it can just be a
- 32:13Speaker 2: little bit of water and trayer olives. Bad for dogs,
- 32:17Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 32:18Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a choking hazard depending on the size of
- 32:21Speaker 3: the dog, but other than that it should be right.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Well if they have a pit in them, yeah, yeah,
- 32:25Speaker 2: take the pit out.
- 32:26Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, there we go.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Hmm. Okay, So we started today with the guy who
- 32:34Speaker 2: was busted in Kentucky for a dead deer. Then we
- 32:38Speaker 2: talked about bone smashing. Then we talked about the untimely
- 32:40Speaker 2: passing of Robert Carrody and Star River, vict of the Nerds,
- 32:43Speaker 2: and all the other celebs that have already died in
- 32:45Speaker 2: twenty twenty six. So you know, the in memoriam for
- 32:49Speaker 2: the Oscars this year is going to be stacked. But
- 32:55Speaker 2: one of my other favorite stories of the week, partly
- 32:58Speaker 2: because it has an outstanding video that goes along with it.
- 33:02Speaker 2: A waburger manager was forced to subdue a customer by
- 33:06Speaker 2: beating him with the trash can after he allegedly assaulted
- 33:08Speaker 2: the workers.
- 33:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Paris police officers responded On February twenty second to a
- 33:17Speaker 2: Waaburger in the twenty four hundred block of North Main
- 33:19Speaker 2: Street in Paris, about two hours northeast of Dallas. The Paris,
- 33:23Speaker 2: Texas Police Department, that's what they said in their press release.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Officers found that a customer at the location was verbally
- 33:29Speaker 2: abusive to the staff. The manager asked the man to leave,
- 33:34Speaker 2: and he complied, but threatened to return to the store
- 33:37Speaker 2: and assault the manager. When police left the suspect he
- 33:44Speaker 2: was good on his word. He later returned to the
- 33:47Speaker 2: restaurant and assaulted the manager by punching him multiple times,
- 33:51Speaker 2: but the manager was able to recover and get instant
- 33:56Speaker 2: revenge by picking up Is it just there we go?
- 34:02Speaker 2: The manager was able to get revenge by picking up
- 34:05Speaker 2: the trash can behind the counter and beating the ever
- 34:08Speaker 2: loving out of the.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Suspect with it.
- 34:12Speaker 2: I mean, this looks like a ww E match behind
- 34:16Speaker 2: the counter at the Waterburger in Paris, Texas. Good on
- 34:20Speaker 2: this manager, and he's maintaining cleanliness because he keeps the
- 34:23Speaker 2: latex gloves on the entire time. The suspect was later
- 34:29Speaker 2: identified as forty one year old Anthony William Neuheiss of Spring, Texas.
- 34:33Speaker 2: When police arrived, they found new Hes bleeding from the
- 34:36Speaker 2: head in the restaurant's parking lot. He was arrested in
- 34:41Speaker 2: charge with assault resulting in bodily injury and public intoxication.
- 34:44Speaker 2: After he was taken to jail, he intentionally flooded the cells.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Officials charged him with criminal mischief as a result of
- 34:52Speaker 2: that incident, A Waburger spokesperson said in a statement to
- 34:55Speaker 2: WFAA at Waburger, guest and employees' security are a top priority.
- 35:00Speaker 2: We take incidents such as this seriously and are fleet
- 35:02Speaker 2: cooperating with authorities. My hope is that this manager gets
- 35:08Speaker 2: rewarded in some way and not punished the way so
- 35:11Speaker 2: many large companies do with employees who take action against
- 35:16Speaker 2: people in such a manner.
- 35:20Speaker 1: I'm more. Probably the thing that troubles me more than
- 35:22Speaker 1: anything about this is the fact that after he's done
- 35:28Speaker 1: beating the guy with the slim gym, which if you've
- 35:34Speaker 1: ever worked in a bar restaurant, you know that's what
- 35:37Speaker 1: those slim cans are called. They're called slim gems. Uh,
- 35:40Speaker 1: the woman is then you know, telling the other girl
- 35:44Speaker 1: hit the you know, the emergency button to summon police.
- 35:49Speaker 1: When he started beating the guy or even started hitting
- 35:52Speaker 1: the manager. That's when the panic button should be hit,
- 35:56Speaker 1: not after. If you've watched the entire fight break.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Out right, see, that's where you and I are wrong, Drey.
- 36:05Speaker 2: I agree with you. However, I'm glad it played out
- 36:08Speaker 2: this way because I'm glad that this manager had the
- 36:12Speaker 2: opportunity to grab the slim jim and beat this man
- 36:16Speaker 2: over the head with it repeatedly. If Aqua, if I
- 36:19Speaker 2: got the name right, had hit the panic button already,
- 36:21Speaker 2: it might have spooked the assaulter and left, and the
- 36:24Speaker 2: manager may not have had his opportunity for revenge.
- 36:26Speaker 1: I think once you know, at least once he starts.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Then My other part of it is the manager, you
- 36:32Speaker 1: don't stop beating the guy because he the guy gets
- 36:35Speaker 1: then gets up. This has become one of my my
- 36:38Speaker 1: big yes, one of my big problems with a lot
- 36:44Speaker 1: of movies and TV shows of this deal of you
- 36:47Speaker 1: stop beating the guy and then he gets up. No,
- 36:51Speaker 1: you keep beating him until you're sure he's not getting
- 36:54Speaker 1: back up, or until the authorities arrive. If he just
- 36:59Speaker 1: pops right back up, you have not beat him enough.
- 37:03Speaker 2: You must you must, you must return to the beatings
- 37:06Speaker 2: I guess.
- 37:07Speaker 1: I mean for your own safety, you're then gonna have
- 37:11Speaker 1: to beat again, just keep beating him until he's unconscious.
- 37:15Speaker 2: I saw another's story somewhere and I can't find it
- 37:18Speaker 2: at the moment. Ooh, I think it was actually on Uh,
- 37:21Speaker 2: it might have been on Fox Ford's website. I want
- 37:23Speaker 2: to make sure I get this correct, because unlike the
- 37:26Speaker 2: mainstream media, we like to get things correct here inside
- 37:29Speaker 2: the Treehouse when it comes to our news. According to
- 37:34Speaker 2: Fox For's website, viral video shows Waburger's staff fending off
- 37:38Speaker 2: attacker with trash can and a fry basket.
- 37:44Speaker 1: There you go.
- 37:52Speaker 2: It's very w W style. Yeah, the way the manager
- 37:55Speaker 2: like steps over him. But then the guy gets up
- 37:57Speaker 2: and he's he's obviously dazed. You know, he's he's been
- 38:00Speaker 2: beat over the head by a trash can. We're gonna
- 38:05Speaker 2: make one of those new videos here today.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Boy.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Yeah, But unfortunately I don't see in the video anywhere
- 38:13Speaker 2: where it shows the manager hitting this guy with a
- 38:17Speaker 2: fry basket. I'm assuming that happened before the trash can.
- 38:21Speaker 1: You know who else? I feel sorry for MM waffle
- 38:25Speaker 1: house employees. This is a Tuesday for them.
- 38:30Speaker 2: And they get next to no credit unsung heroes really
- 38:34Speaker 2: really is. It's so sad. I can't wait for Waerburger's
- 38:42Speaker 2: new ad campaign though. What a beating that's right there,
- 38:50Speaker 2: you go, Good job, Jerry. They should have just put
- 38:59Speaker 2: this dickers all over that dude's face. For all things Treehouse,
