- 0:52Speaker 1: backstage Yeah, I think you were backstage on the Australian
- 0:55Speaker 1: tour and we did that Plark Presso and you Yes,
- 1:00Speaker 1: So catch me up since then?
- 1:02Speaker 3: What's been going on?
- 1:06Speaker 2: So long?
- 1:07Speaker 4: Ago? Well?
- 1:07Speaker 2: I mean it probably what was it a year and
- 1:09Speaker 2: a half ago? I guess not? Maybe more? No, maybe
- 1:12Speaker 2: like two or things? What's going on? Oh goodness?
- 1:15Speaker 4: So much. Listen to the album you'll hear a lot
- 1:17Speaker 4: of it. So I honestly feel like I've just been. Yeah,
- 1:21Speaker 4: I've been making this album since I ended that tour.
- 1:23Speaker 4: I've been in the studio a ton filming all this
- 1:26Speaker 4: stuff you need to film to get an album out,
- 1:28Speaker 4: and all the photos you need to take and all
- 1:30Speaker 4: the things need to do, and then just getting it out.
- 1:32Speaker 2: It's been it's been fun. I've got to go to New.
- 1:34Speaker 4: York and perform on Jimmy Fallon and meet a ton
- 1:37Speaker 4: of my fans. I did a couple of vinyl signings.
- 1:39Speaker 4: I did some in New York, I had some in
- 1:41Speaker 4: LA probably met around like two thousand people.
- 1:43Speaker 2: So it was really a good time. Since then, just
- 1:47Speaker 2: you know, been.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Talking to people about the record and just letting it
- 1:50Speaker 4: be out there in the world.
- 1:51Speaker 1: And yeah, well the deluxe editions out. Now let's take
- 1:55Speaker 1: a listen. The new song is called love a Girl
- 2:00Speaker 1: just You for Madison B from her luck At Deluxe album. Hey,
- 2:08Speaker 1: now your fans are loving and speaking of have we
- 2:10Speaker 1: landed on a fan group name? Because all I've joked
- 2:14Speaker 1: about calling your fans be Bongs for years, they.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Don't still have a name. I feel like I've seen
- 2:18Speaker 2: many things be thrown around and said. Nothing that I
- 2:22Speaker 2: feel like is.
- 2:23Speaker 4: I just feel like we're kind of leaving that era.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Like I think that was kind of you know, like
- 2:28Speaker 4: a decade ago. Like I think that's very common where
- 2:31Speaker 4: where people would get up in these award shows and
- 2:33Speaker 4: they would go thank you to my blank for blanks
- 2:36Speaker 4: and my blank and it was like very normal. And
- 2:38Speaker 4: now I just don't see that happening a lot. And
- 2:40Speaker 4: I feel like it's just a different it's a different
- 2:42Speaker 4: culture now. So I feel like, thankfully we're weeding it
- 2:45Speaker 4: out and I don't think that I needed to really
- 2:47Speaker 4: get on the train.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yeah, now that you say that, it's actually bit cringe,
- 2:51Speaker 1: you know, like you know, like it's like I want
- 2:53Speaker 1: to get up and thank you thanks.
- 2:54Speaker 2: To my madisinator, my beer babies. Like it's just it
- 2:58Speaker 2: just it just seems.
- 2:59Speaker 4: A little it is like, yeah, I think I'm running
- 3:03Speaker 4: some sort of like club or cul culturally.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah no.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Well yeah, well yes, well yes no, But I like
- 3:11Speaker 4: I'm just you guys are just people who support me.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I don't need to call you or anything.
- 3:14Speaker 3: I don't know, not good good. I was just it
- 3:16Speaker 3: was more like I'm almost twenty.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I'm twenty six, you know, like I'm over it.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I get no I get it. I just
- 3:22Speaker 1: it was more of a courtesy checking.
- 3:23Speaker 4: I was just more you know, if I changed my mind.
- 3:26Speaker 1: No, that's fine, Hey you do you You're the starff.
- 3:28Speaker 1: It's your it's your baby.
- 3:29Speaker 3: You can you can do whatever it is you need
- 3:31Speaker 3: to do.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Uh. Any plans to come to Australia.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Uh, what is happening? Do you are?
- 3:35Speaker 1: We?
- 3:36Speaker 3: Are we touring this record? What do we? What's this
- 3:38Speaker 3: the plan?
- 3:39Speaker 4: I am touring this record in Europe and the UK
- 3:42Speaker 4: and in the US, and I hope I can bring
- 3:44Speaker 4: it to Australia similarly to what I did last time.
- 3:47Speaker 4: But I can't make any promises because I just don't know.
- 3:50Speaker 4: And I think that for me, it was important that
- 3:52Speaker 4: I just started somewhere, and I think that like I
- 3:55Speaker 4: could always add shows and I can always build. But
- 3:57Speaker 4: something that I've learned about myself is like I don't
- 3:59Speaker 4: really do well when I have six months in the
- 4:01Speaker 4: future clearly planned out and I'm like, yeah, I'll be
- 4:04Speaker 4: in Australia in seven months from when my tour starts,
- 4:08Speaker 4: Like that feels always a bit intense for me.
- 4:10Speaker 2: And if I don't know, I.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Would rather I guess, I guess what I'm trying to say,
- 4:13Speaker 4: is I'd rather do this like of the tour and
- 4:15Speaker 4: then obviously assess how I feel and if I feel
- 4:17Speaker 4: up to it. Add more dates, go to different places
- 4:19Speaker 4: because I love Australia.
- 4:20Speaker 2: There's so I love Asia, like, there's so many places
- 4:22Speaker 2: I want to go.
- 4:24Speaker 4: But I have to also like prioritize my mental and
- 4:27Speaker 4: feel ready to do it, because I would not want
- 4:28Speaker 4: to put on a show for people that isn't one
- 4:30Speaker 4: hundred percent.
- 4:30Speaker 2: So I just want to get through these and then
- 4:32Speaker 2: see how I feel.
- 4:33Speaker 3: No, I love it. I love that, I love that energy,
- 4:35Speaker 3: I love that for you. That's very I think.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I think boundaries are very important to sit because I
- 4:40Speaker 1: think it can get very It's very difficult when saying no.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Sometimes you think you're saying no to the opportunity forever,
- 4:47Speaker 1: but actually know what you're doing is like saying, hey,
- 4:49Speaker 1: you know what my boundary is here right now, give
- 4:52Speaker 1: me a minute. Doesn't mean no forever. It just means
- 4:55Speaker 1: I need to re evaluate at some latest stage.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Absolutely, and I think that I just like have and
- 5:00Speaker 4: that now at this point that I know what works
- 5:03Speaker 4: for me touring wise, and I would rather tour less
- 5:06Speaker 4: cities in a shorter duration and be able to sustain it.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Then you know, burn myself out and people come and
- 5:11Speaker 4: they're like, oh, she didn't really seem very present.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Or there or whatever. I just I don't know. I
- 5:16Speaker 2: want to I want to do best.
- 5:17Speaker 1: You don't want anyone saying she looks dead behind the eyes, right,
- 5:20Speaker 1: because that's guitar.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't. I don't that.
- 5:24Speaker 1: So last question for you, are we manifesting anything for
- 5:27Speaker 1: this year?
- 5:29Speaker 3: Because I want to lie to you.
- 5:31Speaker 1: You come across, you give the manifesting energy like someone
- 5:34Speaker 1: who might have some crystals.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Child, I'm in the full.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Moon because you're correct on all those fronts. So thank
- 5:41Speaker 4: you for seeing that. Seeing you know, it's funny you
- 5:44Speaker 4: bring that up. There is definitely things I'm manifesting whatever.
- 5:47Speaker 4: But I will tell you a weird story.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Because I you're the first person I've told this to.
- 5:51Speaker 4: My mom called me like two days ago and she
- 5:54Speaker 4: was like, do you still have that bag of jewelry
- 5:56Speaker 4: that I gave you?
- 5:57Speaker 2: You know what five years ago?
- 5:58Speaker 4: She gave me a bunch of her jewelry and I
- 6:00Speaker 4: was like, yeah, it's somewhere in my room. I have
- 6:02Speaker 4: all my.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Stuff stored so whatever. I was like, yeah, I have it, and.
- 6:04Speaker 4: She was like, I need you to look in it
- 6:05Speaker 4: because I just remembered that twenty six years ago. For
- 6:09Speaker 4: my push present when I give birth to you, your
- 6:11Speaker 4: father got me a locket, a diamond locket that said
- 6:16Speaker 4: Madison inside of it and has your birthday on it.
- 6:18Speaker 2: And I was like, there's no way that's insane. And
- 6:20Speaker 2: also how would I not have known that all the time?
- 6:22Speaker 4: And so I found it and it is very much
- 6:25Speaker 4: so real. And my mom's literal push present for me
- 6:28Speaker 4: was a lockett and I find that to be very bizarre.
- 6:30Speaker 1: And somehow I do also believe the universe does send
- 6:36Speaker 1: signs and you need to be looking for them because
- 6:39Speaker 1: otherwise they will slip straight past you.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's my crazy story.
- 6:43Speaker 3: I love that.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Well, I'm going to charge my crystals and I will
- 6:47Speaker 1: pray to them. And they need you to make it
- 6:49Speaker 1: some stage and appearance in Australia this year.
- 6:51Speaker 3: We would love to see you.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Thank you also get to see you. I'll see you soon.
