- 0:01When we are focused on our external being, we tend not to
- 0:05recognize that forces unseen actually not only impact how and
- 0:10what we perceive, understand and respond to impressions and
- 0:14pressures, but actually very much define who we believe we
- 0:20are. There are forces that are
- 0:23subconscious to our external awareness, which send up
- 0:26suggestions, thoughts, impulses, drives, habits and instincts
- 0:33that drive our action. There are also forces super
- 0:37conscient to our external awareness that help us see and
- 0:41grow beyond the limits of our physical, vital mental
- 0:45existence. If we look carefully at the
- 0:49sources or seeds of our external reactions, we can begin to trace
- 0:54back much of the way we act to specific vital or mental
- 0:58patterns that human beings have brought forward from animal
- 1:01nature. The very way we respond to
- 1:05pressure, the fight or flight response, the pecking order
- 1:09response, all come from an earlier stage of evolution and
- 1:14remain active in our existing lives.
- 1:19Even our evolved mental life is very much conditioned by past
- 1:23habits of human thought as well as by social conditioning,
- 1:27education and interactions we have.
- 1:30As we experience our human childhood, it becomes difficult
- 1:35to determine what is unique within us other than the
- 1:39specific assemblage of these pre-existing and trained
- 1:44responses that are packaged to represent a specific external
- 1:49personality. There are also many elements
- 1:54which are subliminal which act without our conscious attention.
- 1:58Many of the metabolic functions, for instance, are not controlled
- 2:02by our conscience, thought and will, but take place at a level
- 2:07that is not easily perceptible by our waking mind at a certain
- 2:13point. We also find that as individuals
- 2:16grow and evolve, as they optimize the powers of body,
- 2:21life and mind, they experience what can only be named a calling
- 2:26to another focus in life direction.
- 2:29They begin to reorient their actions and thoughts towards
- 2:32this higher calling, a response to the pressure coming from
- 2:36regions of awareness super conscient to our normal human
- 2:40range of perception. Srioro Bindo writes quote this
- 2:47subconscious is the evolutionary basis in US.
- 2:50It is not the whole of our hidden nature, nor is it the
- 2:54whole origin of what we are. But things can rise from the
- 2:58subconscient and take shape in the conscious parts, and much of
- 3:03our smaller vital and physical instincts, movements, habits,
- 3:07character forms has this source. There are three occult sources
- 3:13of our action, the superconscient, the subliminal,
- 3:17the subconscient, but of none of them are we in control or even
- 3:21aware. What we are aware of is the
- 3:24surface being, which is only an instrumental arrangement.
- 3:28The source of all is the general nature, universal nature,
- 3:32individualizing itself in each person.
- 3:35For this general nature deposits certain habits of movement,
- 3:40personality, character, faculties, dispositions,
- 3:45tendencies in US, and that, whether formed now or before our
- 3:50birth, is what we usually call ourselves.
- 3:55A good deal of this is in habitual movement and use in our
- 3:59known conscious parts on the surface.
- 4:02A great deal more is concealed in the other unknown 3 which are
- 4:06below or behind the surface. End Quote.
