- 0:16Speaker 1: 12 Dear Heavenly Father, I know that a person reaps
- 0:21Speaker 1: what they sow. I know what I put into my
- 0:25Speaker 1: faith I will receive back. I want to sow righteousness. obedience,
- 0:32Speaker 1: and devotion to you, yet sometimes my heart is too
- 0:37Speaker 1: distant and my mind is too chaotic. Would you bring
- 0:43Speaker 1: my heart close to you and rein in my wandering mind?
- 0:48Speaker 1: I know my effectiveness as a Christian is dependent on
- 0:52Speaker 1: my closeness to you. In Jesus' name, Amen. Thank you
- 0:58Speaker 1: for joining me in prayer. Stay tuned for today's free podcast,
- 1:02Speaker 1: Meditative Prayers with Zach Clinton, where you can draw close
- 1:06Speaker 1: to God and find strength in Him.
- 1:11Speaker 2: My friends, welcome to your meditative prayer on deep forgiveness.
- 1:15Speaker 2: To get the most out of your spiritual journey, use
- 1:17Speaker 2: Pray.com every day and make prayer a priority in your life. Again,
- 1:21Speaker 2: our goal for today's meditative prayer is all about deep forgiveness.
- 1:25Speaker 2: So right now, Let's just pause for just a second.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Maybe put aside the day's distractions and prepare to spend
- 1:33Speaker 2: a moment with God. Close your eyes. Take a deep
- 1:39Speaker 2: breath in. And then slowly breathe out. And now take
- 1:46Speaker 2: every thought captive and shift your focus to what God
- 1:50Speaker 2: has prepared for you. Again, today we'll be meditating on
- 1:54Speaker 2: Hosea 10, verse 12 from the King James Version. Right now,
- 1:59Speaker 2: my friends, take a moment just to pour out your
- 2:01Speaker 2: adoration to God. God, I give you praise for your
- 2:05Speaker 2: justice is perfect. I worship you for your righteousness is
- 2:22Speaker 2: true and will not be withheld from your people. You
- 2:26Speaker 2: pour out your mercy and with loving kindness you attract
- 2:29Speaker 2: my heart. I praise you for you are the everlasting God.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Your goodness and your faithfulness know no end. Forgiveness is
- 2:40Speaker 2: for your benefit. As counterintuitive as this may sound, it
- 2:44Speaker 2: is absolutely true. There is a biblical principle called the
- 2:48Speaker 2: Law of the Harvest. And forgiveness falls under its jurisdiction.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Know that your choices and your actions dictate what you
- 2:56Speaker 2: receive from God. No exceptions. This is why forgiveness is
- 3:00Speaker 2: sowed not for the benefit of others, but your own.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Part of the reason why forgiveness can be so hard
- 3:06Speaker 2: to give is because we feel that by forgiving we
- 3:10Speaker 2: accept defeat. But the reality is nothing could be further
- 3:14Speaker 2: from the truth. When you plant mercy and grace into
- 3:18Speaker 2: those who wronged you, you are not accepting defeat. On
- 3:21Speaker 2: the contrary, you are ensuring your victory. When you forgive
- 3:26Speaker 2: those who sinned against you, you are activating a spiritual
- 3:29Speaker 2: principle that cannot be broken. You are triggering God's legal
- 3:33Speaker 2: spiritual authority to bless you, to be merciful and gracious
- 3:38Speaker 2: to you. So do not give in to the temptation
- 3:41Speaker 2: of unforgiveness and retribution. Do not sow for yourself venom, vengeance,
- 3:46Speaker 2: and violence. For God does not excuse evil behavior by
- 3:51Speaker 2: reason of retaliation or provocation. Instead, break up all unplowed
- 3:58Speaker 2: ground in your life. Seek to cultivate a harvest of
- 4:02Speaker 2: God's goodness and His faithful love of His blessings and
- 4:06Speaker 2: His divine favor. Strive to do what is required of
- 4:10Speaker 2: you for God to reign His righteousness over you. So
- 4:14Speaker 2: right now, my friends, take this time. as your opportunity
- 4:17Speaker 2: to remove all impediments to your harvest. Lay your seeds
- 4:22Speaker 2: bare before the Lord and tell Him what is hindering
- 4:26Speaker 2: your heart and preventing you from sowing forgiveness. Right now,
- 4:30Speaker 2: come before God and confess those sins to Him. Now,
- 4:36Speaker 2: my friends, as we transition, let's just take a few
- 4:38Speaker 2: minutes to dwell on God's grace for you. Thank Him
- 4:42Speaker 2: because His love for you is greater than any and
- 4:44Speaker 2: all hurt. Thank the Holy Spirit for empowering you to
- 4:48Speaker 2: overcome all bitterness. Think of past situations where God's grace
- 4:53Speaker 2: transformed your heart. Thank God for those past experiences and
- 4:58Speaker 2: future ones to come. Thank Him for His mercy and
- 5:01Speaker 2: His faithfulness in your life. Thank God that through His righteousness,
- 5:06Speaker 2: you will no longer be controlled by unforgiveness, but instead,
- 5:10Speaker 2: you will live in freedom and in joy. God is present.
- 5:15Speaker 2: And He is listening to you. So right now, this
- 5:18Speaker 2: is your opportunity to ask for aid in planting your harvest.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Reach out to God this moment and ask Him to
- 5:26Speaker 2: fill you with His powerful love. Ask the Holy Spirit
- 5:29Speaker 2: to transform your heart and to fill you with His grace.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Ask Him to empower you to let go of grudges,
- 5:36Speaker 2: of hate, and of bitterness. Ask the Holy Spirit to
- 5:41Speaker 2: fill you with determination to sow forgiveness and to prepare
- 5:45Speaker 2: for a harvest of love and of righteousness. Remember, God
- 5:50Speaker 2: tells you to plant a harvest of love and righteousness
- 5:53Speaker 2: for yourself. Forgiveness is not for the benefit of others.
- 5:58Speaker 2: It's for your own. When you plant forgiveness and grace
- 6:02Speaker 2: into those who wronged you, you are preparing yourself a
- 6:06Speaker 2: harvest of justice and goodness. So do not be afraid
- 6:11Speaker 2: and break up the idle ground in your life. Seek
- 6:14Speaker 2: to do what is good and just in the eyes
- 6:17Speaker 2: of the Lord and prepare for Him to reign righteousness
- 6:20Speaker 2: over your life. Choose this day to cultivate justice and joy,
- 6:26Speaker 2: renewal and righteousness, and step outside of unforgiveness and into
- 6:32Speaker 2: the amazing future that God has waiting for you. My friends,
