- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hey, what is up, everyone?
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to the Reborn Podcast.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: I am your host, Tony Brutros.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: I am a 21-year-old entrepreneur, speaker, writer, and follower of Christ.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: And today I'm here to speak about something that completely changed how I approach life, business, and faith.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: We've all heard the story, right?
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: The one about the two wolves.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Inside of each each of us, there are two wolves battling for control.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: One is filled with fear, anger, and insecurity.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: The other is driven by joy, faith, and generosity.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: The question is simple.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Which wolf wins?
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: The one you feed.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Today we're talking about feeding the right wolf.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Specifically, we're going to dive into what I call the four fires that shape every area of your lives family and community, finance, spiritual life, and health.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: These fires need to be fed constantly, and if you can keep them burning bright, you'll thrive.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Both personally and professionally.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: So if you're struggling with overwhelm, isolation, or just feeling stuck in life, this episode is for you.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Let's light those fires together.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: I want to kick things off by sharing how this story of the two wolves has impacted me personally.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: Growing up, I was in a rough spot, mentally, physically, emotionally.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: I was all over the place.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: No real direction, no relationship with Christ.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: And to be honest, I was feeding the wrong wolf for a long time.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: I lived in fear.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: I was insecure about everything, and I felt like I didn't have a purpose.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: Then in October of 2023, I found Christ, and that changed everything.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: That's when I realized we all have the ability to choose which wolf to feed.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: For me, it wasn't an overnight transformation, but slowly I started to focus on joy, faith, and giving rather than living in fear, doubt, and self-pity.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: This lesson carries over into every part of our lives.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: It's not just about one big moment of change, it's about daily choices.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: This brings us to our main topic today, the four fires.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: These are the areas in life that need to be fed if you want to live a life of purpose, joy, and impact.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: So let's talk about what those fires are and how you can feed them.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: The first fire is family and community.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: We're not meant to go through life alone, and this is a lesson I learned the hard way.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: When I first started out as an entrepreneur, I was all about the grind.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: I'm isolating myself, thinking I had to figure it out on my own.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: But the truth is, you can't thrive in isolation.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: In Ecclesiastes 4 and 9 10, it says, Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: I didn't fully grasp this until I surrounded myself with people who were on the same journey of growth.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: People who could lift me up when I was down and challenge me to be better.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: That's why we built the Rewind Pack community.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: It's a place where you can grow alongside others and be part of something bigger than yourself.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: So ask yourself, are you feeding the fire community?
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: Are you investing in your relationships with family, friends, or like-minded people who can help you grow?
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Because if you're trying to go it alone, you're starving that fire.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Next up is finance.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: Money, like everything else, is a tool.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: It can either serve you or control you.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: For a long time, I was feeding the wrong wolf in my financial life.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: When I started my business, I was all about the hustle.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: I worked a zero-base, all-commissioned job, barely scaped scraping by.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Felt like I was running in circles, trying to build something that wasn't aligned with my purpose.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: But when I shut down that business and focused on what God was calling me to, things changed.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Proverbs 16 and 3 says, Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: And that's exactly what happened.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Once I stopped chasing money for the sake of money and instead used it as a tool to build something that served others and glorified God, my financial situation improved.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: So how are you managing your financial fire?
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Are you using your money to build an empire for yourself?
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: Are you investing in things that build God's kingdom?
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: That shift in mindset changes everything.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: Now, here's a game changer.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Spiritual life.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: This fire is different from the others.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: Because it's a fire that fuels all the other fires.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: When I was young, I was always looking for something outside of myself to keep me going, whether it was success, relationships, or even a next big business venture.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: I thought I had to go out into the woods to search for something new to reignite the passion.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: But the truth is, the fire I should have been returning to all along was my spiritual fire.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: Here's the thing.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: When you feed your spiritual fire, it naturally feeds everything else.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: Your relationships, your finances, and your health.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: It's a core fire that brings life to all the others.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: Before I'd burn out because I was trying to keep everything going on my own strength.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: But now, when I feel like I'm running low, I go straight back to that spiritual fire.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: I spend time with God.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: I pray.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: I read the word, and that connection provides a fuel for every other area of my life.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: Let me tell you, when you keep that fire burning, it's almost impossible for the others to go out.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: And finally, let's talk about health.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: This fire is often overlooked, especially by entrepreneurs and leaders.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: We're so focused on building businesses, leading others, or even serving in ministry that we forget to take care of our own bodies.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: I used to neglect my health, growing up with poor physical and mental health.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: I wasn't feeding this fire at all.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: And let me tell you, when your health suffers, everything else does too.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: First Corinthians 6 and 19 to 20 reminds us, do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: You are not your own.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: You are bought at a price.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: Therefore, honor God with your bodies.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: Taking care of your health isn't just about looking at it, it's about honoring the body God gave you.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: But here's your cut, here's the catch.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: When you're spiritually aligned and that fire is strong, it becomes easier to care for your health.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: Your mind shifts mindset shifts from seeing health as a physical thing to seeing it as a way to honor God.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: It's all connected.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: Feed your spiritual fire and watch how it transforms your ability to stay consistent with your health, your finances, and your relationships.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: So here's a big takeaway.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: We each have two wolves inside us.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: One is filled with fear, anger, insecurity, and self-pity.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: The other is full of joy, faith, generosity, and accountability.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: The wolf that prevails is the wolf you feed.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: The same goes for the four fires family and community, finance, spiritual life, and health.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: If you feed these areas with intentionality and faith, you'll thrive.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: But if you neglect them, the wrong wolf will start taking over.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: And never forget, your spiritual fire is the one that feeds the others.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: When your spiritual life is strong, it's like you're constantly puring fuel on the other fires.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: You don't need to run around trying to light a new flame every time something starts a flicker.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: Just go back to God, back to the source, and let Him reignite everything in your life.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: This is exactly what we focus on in the Reborn Pack, helping you consistently feed the right wolf, the one that leads to a fulfilling, purpose-driven life.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: So my question for you is simple.
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: Which wolf will you choose to feed today?
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: Alright, before we close out, I want to take a few questions from the community.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: The first question is, Tony, how do you keep all four fires burning when life gets busy?
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: This is a great question.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: And honestly, it comes down to prioritizing and making small, consistent improvements in every area.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: I don't try to do everything all at once.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: I make time for family and community by scheduling regular check-ins.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: Um I, as we talk about in the reworn pack, if you go join the community, I have a journal that I put every single task I want to accomplish in that week that I want to get done in that week, in my journal.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: Then I put that on my calendar.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: So I'm very intentional with scheduling my time.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: I set financial goals that align with my bigger mission.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: And spiritually, I make sure I'm spending time with God daily, even if it's just 15 minutes.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: For me personally, because I'm blessed to be an entrepreneur, I'm able to spend a lot more than 15 minutes.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: I probably spend at least a few hours a day.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: Um and that's a that's a huge, huge, huge blessing.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: And when it comes to health, I integrate it into my routine.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Uh, whether it's a root workout, a healthy meal, or mental health practices, I'm very intentional with what with what I do.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: Um most of my meals, especially my breakfast, is always the same: eggs, bacon, um, my workouts typically.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: What I try and do with my workouts is when I am feeling burnt out mentally, because I'm working a lot, working, working, working, my mental state, I just can't, I'm not, I'm not thinking, I'm not firing on uh as fast as I should be, or as fast as I know I can be.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: Um, and so I go switch it and I switch it to physical energy.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: And then once I go back to mental energy, I feel much I feel renewed energy.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: So that really helps me.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: Um, mental health practices, we go really in depth in this in the Reborn Pack.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: Absolutely free as a first course, and the community is absolutely free.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: Um, really recommend you join.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: But one of the things I will tell you is getting silent time each and every day is crucial.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: The second question is when is the hardest fire for you to keep burning?
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: That's a great question.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: Honestly, and this is gonna shock you, I'm gonna say financial.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: And the reason why is because I love business, I love making money.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: And it's not that I love money, I I definitely don't idolize money, but the the the thing is it can be more difficult to manage money, quick books, etc.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: That kind of thing is boring.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: That's probably the fire that I should probably be feeding a little bit more.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: I'm very intentional with getting community, I'm very intentional with my relationship with God, I'm very intentional in my business, even just those those seemingly small things that could be improved upon.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: Uh, and then I'm very intentional and really all four aspects of life.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: Um, and that all starts, in my opinion, with journaling.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: Um, but when I notice that I am not feeling as focused or energized, um really I know that it's because I'm not feeding a fire enough.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: Um usually I would say my you know your energy comes from uh your spiritual fire.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: And so when I spoke, when I focus on the spiritual fire, everything else starts to align again.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: That's something I have to be intentional about.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: That's it for today's episode, everyone.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: Um I hope this episode really helps you reflect on which wolves you're feeding and how you're tending to your four fires.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: If you want to dive deeper into this journey with the supportive community, head over to the reborn pack.
