- speaker-1: I went somewhere. I don't know how I got there. I don't know any of the mechanisms, but I was somewhere. And it was very indistinct, kind of a pink brown, brown, grey, orange shiny color around me. But it is warm and it has that same feeling. It's like, wow, this is wonderful. And I'm just be bopping along. And there's a whole bunch of somebody with me this time. speaker-0: Wow. speaker-1: I can hear them chanting at me, but I cannot see them. I have no idea who they were or what they were. They're chanting at me. over and over and over. You have done what you came here to do. You have done what you came here to do. speaker-0: welcome to the AHA podcast. I'm your host Ali Andrus and I have here our wonderful guest, Lei Mohr from Hawaii. she's graciously agreed to tell her story and I think it's so important to hear because it's such a beautiful message, and you can feel such a loving energy from Lei and such a sweet spirit here. she has a very unique experience that I haven't heard very often, and I've have listened to a lot of NDE's there's been trauma, there's been three near-death experiences, and even a shared death experience. we're just very grateful that you're here with us and willing to share this to spread this message of hope and Love. So thank you. we'll start out and ask you a little bit about what your life was like prior to these transformative experiences speaker-1: Okay. I did not have an easy life. I had a very stressful, traumatic life. I remember when I was three years old, by the time I was three, I was already honing my skill of being able to read a person's energy instantly before say they came in the door, like my mother, who was extremely volatile. and very abusive. And so by the time I was three I knew if I needed to hide and disappear before she came in. And that was a survival mechanism. So I did not have an early childhood that most of you would think was normal. And I'll put that in quotes because I don't know what that is anymore. But I learned to be who I am through those experiences. And so through time I was also raised my father was a very, very strict Catholic and I started deconstructing that by the time I was thirteen. I'd been at church and I'd recognized that all of the church ladies there were extremely bigoted and very opinionated and if you were not a Catholic You were going to hell In hand baskets, hell. And speaker-0: Mm. speaker-1: then I saw these immigrants, this is gonna date me a little bit. I saw these immigrants from Vietnam. and they were in our neighborhood, and these people lived the Christian ethic as I understood it perfectly, even though they had no Christianity background in them. And I'm like This doesn't make sense that a loving father would say, No, you guys all have to go to hell. But you, the bad guys over here, can go to heaven. I was like, Doesn't make sense in my brain. speaker-0: Mm-hmm. speaker-1: and so by that time didn't go to church anymore and began the very long process of deconstruction. speaker-0: Mm. speaker-1: I left home When I was eighteen and five days, I graduated five days earlier. So that gives you a little background of what my childhood was like. speaker-0: Mm-hmm. speaker-1: To be nineteen and I had my first child and he was a dream. He came out, I mean, it was so easy and nice and beautiful I thought which isn't so bad. speaker-0: Mm. speaker-1: And then I had my second child. And he while I was pregnant was doing gymnastics in my stomach. And when I got into labor, you know, that's supposed to go down and come out normally. No, no. He kept deciding he was not going to and he would turn himself around. So while I was in labor and they were doing everything they could to try and get him normal so that he wouldn't, you know, wrap the cord around his head or something. which means they had to reach up inside of me and turn him around physically. Do not do not do not try this at home. It speaker-0: Ha ha ha. speaker-1: was the most painful thing beyond painful that you can imagine. but it did prepare me for what was coming because everybody is so afraid of death. After that, I'm like, you know, how supposed to be? anyway, so he came into the world and within a few days I had a massive, massive fever. and no I don't blame any of the attendants at all. They were under a high stress situation doing the very best they could and they had the best outcome they could. So my fever was actually a hundred and eleven Fahrenheit, forty four degrees Celsius. And I love the numbers there. speaker-0: Love that. speaker-1: but anyway, so I was at this point in time you're not moving much. I mean you're not moving. And I'm laying there on the hospital bed. And suddenly I look behind me. And there's my body sitting back there on the bed. There's no emotion at all. There's no pain. There's no there's nothing. It's just, there's my body. And then I floated out of my body and into a very pitch black, there is no sensory perception at all tunnel. And I'm like, hmm, I don't know what this is. But it felt so loving, so supportive, so non judgmental, just absolute fluid. And I'm like, Wow, I don't know what it is. But I like this. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: And so I floated for a while. I don't have any idea. There was no measurements of time at all, nothing. But I floated for a while and I came to something. Still just as pitch black, same feeling, but it felt like a widening, maybe a room. I don't know. Anyway, and I came into this and I kind of stopped. It still feels just as wonderful. I'm okay with this. And then I heard the voice, a voice that has come to me throughout as as I looked at my my life as a timeline seen, the voice, look at that. And a voice came to me. And I perceived it as male. And it was extremely loving, gentle, non-judgmental, just as wonderful as it could be. And all he said was, Do you want to come now? instantly recognized what it was he was asking and what he wanted me to do. He wanted me to make a choice. And I just for a split second I panicked and I said, I can't. I have two children to raise. And there was this little gentle nod of the head, even though I couldn't see it, I could feel this little gentle nod of the head. Back down the tunnel, boom, in the body and the fever broke like that. I was out of the hospital the next day. speaker-0: Mm. speaker-1: And I'm like, okay, I don't know what this is. But I knew it left me with two things. It left me knowing I had a purpose in being here and that I had chosen to be here and do that purpose. speaker-0: Mm. speaker-1: Which led a lot of the rest of my life. I was never again of the idea that I was not important, that I was not necessary. speaker-0: That's beautiful. speaker-1: So then we continue working this particular incident, the lessons remained, but because I was still doing the deconstruction thing, I didn't want to go to hell. And I forgot it all for decades. I forgot it all except for lessons. I did not remember if you had asked me anything like that, I would have I don't know, I don't have any clue what you're talking about. but there came a point in time. when I started having a series of major medical issues, diseases. and they all came at the same time of year, late August, early September. I don't know why that connection came in, but it did. And so the first one I was just doing my normal everyday stuff and I I had came down with i high fever again. this one is I live in Hawaii. It's not really brutal cold here. and this is August, September is our hottest time of the year. and I was so cold I had every stitch of clothing, every blanket, every sheet, every everything I could find on top of me and I was still shivering. To this day I don't know how high the fever was. But as I'm sitting there in bed, I like I start getting these notices, the I these ideas, these thoughts keep coming into my head. And it was like a parade of you know You could step over that one. And I'm way out of it. I mean, I'm not mentally there. I'm not thinking. You know, it'd be so easy to step over that. You know, you could step over that line. And it just continued on like this. And they're very gentle, they're very soft. Finally I was like you want me to make a choice? And I was like Well, I guess if I'm going to stay, I haven't had anything to eat or drink in three days, and I've had a fever. Maybe I should go get a drink of water. So I rolled out of the bed and onto the floor, crawled my way into the kitchen, and got myself a drink of water and came back and eventually recovered. I was very, very weak, but I recovered and again. Okay, I've made the choice again. I know I'm here for a reason. I may not know what it is, but I know I'm here for a reason. Okay. Time passes, a couple more years. Now they're gonna come on much more frequently than that, you know, twenty year interval. and I'm still at this point I'm not remembering the first NDE That'll come up a little while. Okay, so a couple more years later. Now this is gonna be this is gonna be a time you guys recognize. this is just prior to a massive disease that went through the world. Yeah. And it's it's late August of 2019. Okay. speaker-0: Mm-hmm. speaker-1: And at this point in time we've had this huge eruption. We've got lots of people who are still trying to recover from it and such. And I'm trying to help them get whatever it is I can that they need. to be able to do this when I'm working through, you know, with our county offices and and everything I can do to try and help these people. So I sat down with a friend of mine at a local place where a lot of us have, you know, we sit down and talk and chat and and I sat down at the table. And I thought, well, okay. everything, you know, we're gonna just have this chat. And she asked if I wanted a drink. I said, sure, yeah, okay. That'd be good. So she went and got us both a drink. She came back out and she opened her hers. It's a little pop top. She opened hers right away and took a drink. I'm struggling to open this can I'm like, it's really weird. I don't know what's going on here. She says, Here, let me do it here you. She pulled it open and okay, I could drink it. I picked the first drink. I'm like, hmm, this tastes kind of funny. Some of you will go, I know what that is. This is August late August 2019. Nobody speaker-0: Mm-hmm. speaker-1: knows anything about what's coming yet. anyway, so I had this weird drink and we went to the meeting and I went home. and the it September first. And I I'm you know, I go home and I rest. I think okay, everything's fine, maybe I'm coming down or something, but you know, we don't stop here that. We just keep going. September 1st. My husband wants to go grocery shopping and he takes a while to get ready. So I said, Okay, you get ready. I'm gonna go take a little nap while you're getting ready. three hours later I woke up with a super high fever. Y'all know this is coming. speaker-0: Ha ha speaker-1: and I'm just as weak as anything. I just I cannot I just barely move. This high fever. All right. Well what's going on here? But I'm just again covered and doing what I can and suddenly suddenly I find myself out of my body. And I went I went somewhere. And they're chanting at me over and over and over. You have done what you came here to do. You have done what you came here to do. And the first one just like, that's nice, that's nice in the body again, fever broke. I'm like, Huh. Now this time I'm really weak and I'm not getting any stronger. this one I was out of work for like months because I was just not weak I I could not even stand. But my first thought when I got back is I've done what I came here to do. Does that mean I'm not gonna be here very much longer? Maybe speaker-0: Mm-hmm. speaker-1: I should learn how to die well. So I got into my phone and started doing the research like we do. And of course I came up with one of the foremost authorities on how how to die well, Ram Dass. speaker-0: Mm. speaker-1: And I studied absolutely everything I could from him. so as I'm studying from him, this was now, you know, late twenty nineteen, like right around Christmas. I think it was the twenty third of December that he left. speaker-0: Mm, mm-hmm. speaker-1: and this is like the twenty fifth. And I'm sitting there on the couch because I can't do much else. And I kind of sit up a little bit and right to the side of my house there is a carport and then there is forest. There is nothing over there, there's no cats, there's nothing over there. So I'm looking out the door because here in Hawaii we don't have to close the doors in winter. speaker-0: Mm-hmm. speaker-1: and so I'm watching outside, just looked up here a little while and there's somebody walking past. And this person is dressed in a little white robe and shaggy beard and shaggy hair. The recognition's coming in, but it's not super clear. So he turned his head and win to me. speaker-0: Wow. speaker-1: And and I managed af after he walked on by he I managed to walk out or to crawl outside basically and get to where he had been. And we had there's a guava tree that grows over there, but it's winter. This is not guava season. But right where he had been, in the shape of a diamond, were four large, perfectly ripe, beautiful guavas. speaker-0: Hm. speaker-1: He left me a present Why did he leave me a present? Because when he had left form, he wanted all of us and he knew I was. I didn't no grieving, no sadness. He wants us all to know he's in the ultimate freedom and he wants us to celebrate. And I did. that's the way to go. I wanna go like that. I wanna go where there's you know, there's no pain, there's no suffering. There's just I wanted to I I understand his death wasn't quite like that, but believing itself, no pain, no suffering, nothing to grieve, just ultimate freedom. And so that's why he visited me, because I was I was there with him. I was celebrating his freedom. And so things go on here a while. And I'm now helping people, kinda like you are, with what my experience has given me that can help other people. speaker-0: Mm-hmm. Mm. speaker-1: And I'm going on through this and and I'm thinking to myself, this just something here is not quite right. I'm not getting where I want to go. I'm not being who I want to be. I can't what is it? What is it? Maybe it's my mother. Now you gotta understand. My mother killed in cold blood my former sister in law by shooting her in the head five times. speaker-0: Gosh. speaker-1: Right. She spent the last fifteen years of her life in prison. I had no contact with her. I had no wish to have contact with her. I hadn't talked to her in forty years. and I I didn't want to change that. But I thought maybe maybe that mother issue is something I need to deal with. Maybe that's coming on. I thought, What can I do? I kept trying and trying and trying. So finally, I did the one thing that works. Now remember this one tool. If you remember nothing else, remember this tool. When you have a major issue and you cannot find the answer to it, ask. Ask here everything deep inside your emotional heart. Okay, so I'm like how do I heal this to everything, nothing, all that is, whatever you want to call it? Instantly I saw myself in the theater. It's all black, pitch black. I mean, I mean you could see their seats and I'm sitting in one of them and there's nobody else in any of the seats and there's a stage up there. and suddenly I start seeing these people coming across. The first thing I see is the director. Guess what? The actor. That's what that's me Then I'm looking at that. And up there in the booth with the producer. that's me too. Then right beside me, I see an another me. And that's the script writer. That's the script writer who wrote and is writing this. And can at any time if they wish change it. If you don't like what's in your script, change it. And then I'm watching me and all of everything, including my mother. survived and I'm realizing she's an actor in my play. She did everything she did so that I could become who I needed to become. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: And I could then forgive her and move on from it. I'm like, okay, I understand now. speaker-0: Wow. speaker-1: And then since then she and I have had a better relationship. I have to add to that in the very, very recent past, like in the last week, something else has changed inside of me that has it's it's blown apart so much of the old and brought in so much of the new. I was reading a book from someone and it's a review, so I can't really say who it is yet. But this person had a very extensive near death experience. And part of his near death experience was realizing that everything that we have here, that all of the constructs we have here, it's gonna come hard here a lot of people. I understand what I'm saying, it's not gonna be popular. All of the constructs we have, and this includes marriage, family, especially if you have a a really loving family, which I never had, and I always wished to have. But the reason I never had that is so that I could have the freedom to move forward and transform and become who I needed to be into a love that is far beyond any of our constructs will ever be. speaker-0: Mm, mm-hmm. speaker-1: This is important for you because this is where your daughter is at. And the freedom of having a true love, which is so far beyond the construct of the human mind. speaker-0: Yeah, that's huge. Thank you. speaker-1: And that's where I'm going to be. speaker-0: Thank you so much. wow. can I ask some follow-up questions? speaker-1: If you have I know this is a lot. I mean, I know it's a lot for you, but speaker-0: Yes. Thank you. I have a lot of questions. Anytime someone gets these experiences, they're so fascinating to me because obviously I want to know where my daughter is and I want to know what she's experiencing on the other side. And I'm always curious when people tell these stories, because it seems like it's so transformative for your life. That you have to be pretty sure that it's real and not some sort of a hallucination. because skeptics will often say that, and I'm sure you get feedback from people who are skeptics who might say that. How sure are you? And do you ever doubt your experience, or does it feel like Realer than real, I've heard people describe it. Does that feel like home and this is sort of the dream? Or how do you explain that? speaker-1: First of all, how do I know they're real? I had no idea any of these things existed beforehand. And in fact, after I had them and after I knew that I'd had them, as in the case of the first NDE, when I first realized I'd had this and I was remembering it, I'm like, what is this? I had to do the research to find out what it was. speaker-0: Wow. speaker-1: I couldn't have made it up if I'd have wanted to. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: and all of the others. I could never have thought of making it up at all in my mind. so is it real? Absolutely. sometimes does it feel a lot more real than here? Yeah, so that's the hard part. you know you still gotta stay in this experience and do what it is you're here to do. Again, that real on the other side? wow. speaker-0: That's amazing. do you feel like you've learned what your purpose is? Because you said in each one of these you had a choice and you felt like the last one they said you've done your purpose. But do you feel like you decided to come back? Like that was a choice because you felt like there was more to do to share more about this experience and help people? speaker-1: I'm gonna go way out the weeds on this one. speaker-0: Okay. speaker-1: each and every one of these I see as a chapter on my timeline. We all have timelines. We jump them frequently. Every time you make a choice, you jump a timeline. Some of the timeline would be is another. some of them they're not as you know, not not as made or if you choose to have a banana instead of an orange, is it gonna that's a timeline? is it going to affect you the rest of your life? Maybe not, maybe. Who knows? anyway, on my timeline, each of these progressively helped me to be able to do like a new lifetime of I I ended one lifetime timeline experience, whatever you want to call it, and I started a new one. the important part of that is that they are all held together. with whatever glue is used to do this. speaker-0: Mm-hmm. speaker-1: And the reason I chose to can't come back, first of all, until I finished my regular near death experiences, I was here to support and guide other people, to help them through theirs. Because I did not have that that I'm I'm sorry because the words don't don't come out this way, but and it doesn't sound nice. because I didn't have that binding framework of a loving family. I was able to move through a lot that a lot of other people didn't because of my childhood. I I mean trauma, yeah, that's an everyday thing. not for most of you, but for me it was. And so I had everything in place to be able to support and guide other people through this amazing time, which is nothing short of traumatic itself. And so that was what I was doing. speaker-0: Mm-hmm. speaker-1: have I finished that now? I think so. But now it's for me to do whatever is necessary to reach here on this earth, which is what we're here to do. We can have that quote heaven, which there is none of that, but we can have that much deeper love here. and experience it here as well as take it with us and go to a big place beyond where it's going to be not a big passage if we have it here. If we don't have it here, if we are stuck in all of these other constructs that we make as humanity, it's gonna be a lot harder to make that jump to there. If we can get that that foundation here, speaker-0: Mm-hmm. speaker-1: it's easy. speaker-0: Wow. Thank you. and about the trauma that you had with your mother and how you experienced this review. you said that helped you to forgive her. Did you get to kind of have empathy and understand why she was the way that she was and understand her perspective and see this as Sort of like a soul contract that you guys had arranged? speaker-1: This has all been a process. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: and yes I did get to the point where I was at that part. And to me forgiveness was not making it right, but understanding why it happened in the first place and what it gave to me that I would not have otherwise had. to back that up. My sister, who was the uncontrollable one, and I always thought she was so strong. She died when she was forty one of liver cirrhosis. She wasn't as strong as I thought she was. It turns out I was the strong one, which is why I got everything if she couldn't handle and I got punished for what she did. speaker-0: Mm, mm-hmm. speaker-1: But that's because I was the strong one and I needed it so that I could be the very best source for other people. speaker-0: I see. speaker-1: as far as the soul contract and such, yes, but from this most recent experience in the last couple of weeks, I have realized not only did she do all those things, when we were before being informed and we were making this plan. She's like, I don't wanna do that. I'm a loving being. I mean, we're all loving being beings of love and life. What more can we be? she's like, I don't wanna do that. I don't wanna do that. And I begged her, please, please, I wanna do that so that I can be who I need to be. I want you to do that for me. I was begging her to do that so that I could become who I am now. speaker-0: Wow. speaker-1: That's a huge realization. But it's all part of it. I mean, from that other side's perspective, which there is no other side, if we made that contract and I beg her to do it, I understood that I really strongly wanted to get to this love but the free love, freedom love. I don't know how to call it because I don't know what it is yet. But freer, it's it's better, not better, it's it's beyond anything we can think of in our human mind, it is the true love that has no boundaries, has no chains, has no constriction at all. And that's where I'm moving now. speaker-0: Mm. Mm-hmm. Mm. Wow. That's beautiful. do you ever get signs or feel like you can connect with your mother and your sister? speaker-1: goodness gracious, yes. speaker-0: Okay. I love that. do you have a a story you could share or anything? speaker-1: Right after my sister passed and I have five siblings, had five siblings. So there were six of us. When my sister passed, I was the only one with no parents, no one else, just me and the medical center. I was there because I loved her, because I knew she needed to have some support or could use some support. Even though I knew she didn't want it, I knew I was gonna be there. And I was the one who was with her. Immediately thereafter, she started she was a musician, a very emotional musician. She put everything into her music as they do. speaker-0: huh. speaker-1: She started singing to me. And she still sings to me. speaker-0: Really? speaker-1: Yeah, she doesn't do it as often anymore, but every once in a while when she feels like I need a little pick me up, she sings to me. speaker-0: Okay. speaker-1: The song she frequently sings to me and she sang to me then I think it's called A Thousand Years. I Have Loved You here a Thousand Years. Yeah. speaker-0: Uh-huh. That's a yeah, I love that song. wow. speaker-1: Every time I hear there she is again It usually plays on my head. It's not like I'm not hearing it on the radio or anything. speaker-0: Mm-hmm. that's so cool. did anyone else ever get to a point of your siblings where they made amends with your mom or felt like they had forgiven? speaker-1: I don't know. I can't say for sure that they have, I can't say for sure that they haven't. Their timelines and my timeline do not cross very well. They seem to be more what do you call them standard people speaker-0: Mm-hmm. speaker-1: and I am definitely not. And so I haven't been able to hold the quote standard line. for a long, long, long time. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: So I don't have a lot of contact with most of I have contact with my one brother, the brother whose wife she killed. and I think it's something that he struggles with. speaker-0: Yeah, I'm sure. speaker-1: But he was the only contact that the prison had for her. And so he was the one who when she was passing, when she was leaving, they called him and said, She's not doing very well, we don't think she's gonna make it and then a few days later they called him. and I've gotta tell you this. I hadn't been talking to him at this point in time about this or anything else. Okay. but there came a point in time, and again, it's about December. And all of a sudden, you know, I go from being my normal self. All of a sudden I think, ooh, and I've got the all this weird stuff going on and I'm and weird is everywhere. and I can't even touch it. How can I do this? And I tried everything to settle it down. And nothing changed. Nothing. And this happened for three days. speaker-0: Mm. speaker-1: And on the third day, I woke up and I'm just like, freedom's a bliss. how wonderful. I'm like, what is going on? so I feel so good. And then he called me and he said, I gotta tell you our mother's dead And I knew then that I had shared her leaving. speaker-0: Mm. speaker-1: And I gotta go on from that. I was so much in her freedom and bliss that we had arranged to have a coffee date with some friends of ours who were here from off island. speaker-0: Mm-hmm. speaker-1: I went to that coffee date and nobody knew anything was wrong with me. Nobody knew anything weird had happened. Most people someone like that passes and you're just like beside yourself and they never even knew. speaker-0: Wow. speaker-1: That's how good that bliss and freedom feels. Now speaker-0: Hmm. speaker-1: I'm not suggesting anybody try and get there faster, speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: but I'm suggesting that people prepare themselves, grow where they need to, let go of all the stuff you no longer need, so that it can be as easy as possible when you do, and so that maybe instead of leaving your loved ones with grief, maybe you can leave them with Shall I leave with love speaker-0: That's so perfectly said. Thank you. I think the way that's sort of why I'm doing this is because I think a lot like you because I was raised very religiously, my view of death was very different and the way that our culture is with it, it's something you don't talk about and even the experiences I've had with people knowing that my daughter passed and How they don't want to bring her up we look at it as this awful thing. And I'm starting to see that it's really just a transition and it's a beautiful thing. and I think it's so important why you're sharing this so that people can understand that it is just like birth. It's just a step in our soul's journey. and I think it can change your fear of death. Like I'm assuming probably your fear of death has changed having gone through these things. speaker-1: Well the title of my book is There Was No Fear. speaker-0: Yeah, there you go. Yes. so that's so now when the time comes you feel very prepared because you've learned all these things and studied Ram dass and had the beautiful visitation and speaker-1: And I've done it so many times. speaker-0: That's true. That's a lot. it's interesting that they were all fevers. do you know speaker-1: In the August September timeframe. speaker-0: Yeah, wow. There's definitely a thread that ties those together, like it's a connectedness. speaker-1: I do know I've finished with that part now. I won't be doing that anymore. speaker-0: That's good. That's good. the last one you were talking about? so that was during an eruption in Hawaii, like a volcanic eruption, and that's why you were helping the people and what was that like to live through that, to experience that? speaker-1: It was I didn't I actually lived four miles from the eruption site, but that means all of my neighbors right over there. In fact the house that I'm living in is right over there. Fisher speaker-0: Wow. speaker-1: eight is right over there. I've lost the dog, so it's supposed to be fishery and welcome back. so it's for all of the people and there was like seven hundred homes and a thousand more than a thousand people displaced. that was a very important changing time and you want to know about signs. Before it happens, I mean, yeah, we know there's a volcano out there, it's doing some stuff. We watch it, we try and figure out, you know, it what we need to know about it. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: It's been doing some things. And I kept getting these messages about fire. Like, you know, the the fire the the fire crew came in and they asked if we wanted to put up, fire alarms and just little things like that little signs as you call them. I'm like, fire, fire. Finally I asked again, do everything, nothing, all it is. I said, what is this all about? And here comes this beautiful Hawaiian voice, yes, it's telling. and she says, I I I mean I asked, what's this all about? I want to answer, right? So she asked. Are you ready to transform? Yeah. What speaker-0: Wow. speaker-1: do you say to a being like that? Do you say no? speaker-0: Ha ha ha. speaker-1: and that became one of the most transformational times of my life where I learned what community, what it is to be community, what it is to need and want and how a community works. when there's this massive disaster happening out there, which is really not that massive. No Hawaii did not close down. It was a little area on the corner of the island. but, you know, here us who lived right here, it was life changing. For me, that's like I said, after that I was sitting with a meeting because this is what I'm doing now. I'm helping people in whatever ways I can. speaker-0: No. speaker-1: and trying to figure out are there other ways that we can help them and that was that was a lot of what that time was about and transforming from being more like an individual to being more like a community member. speaker-0: Yeah, yeah. speaker-1: I that was my point, what I did during that time. I've continued further to now. I was at what they called the hub, which is where everybody went to get clothes, food, whatever they needed. You know, I was the one who watched them when they came in with that completely blank there. I've just lost everything. speaker-0: Mm. speaker-1: And I was the one who was their calmer to help them get to a point where, okay, I may have lost everything, but I can go on. I'm still here, everybody's alive. we can go on. And speaker-0: Mm-hmm. speaker-1: that was my point. So now after all of that, I was asked to be part of the new island wide and maybe state wide disaster response team as that kind of a person. So I can get called at a minute's notice and say, Hey, we need you to come here. speaker-0: Mm. speaker-1: and I'm still proving community. speaker-0: Okay, so you're still doing that if there's some disaster, you're the one that gets the call and volunteers to help. speaker-1: Well, there's been in in this wonderful El Nino time that we have, the superst El Nino ever. Maybe you guys haven't heard about it, but we have and we've had more disasters in the last month than we've had in years. We had first of all, there was three Kona Lows which are the cyclones but they come from the other direction. Fine, they're still cyclones. speaker-0: It's good. speaker-1: I mean they poured water on us and they flooded and they flooded. And that was just to get us ready for all of the actual cyclones for hurricanes that actually did come. So yeah. And they don't have to a lot of you think of those storms as this little spec that's in the middle of it. No. These things are huge. And you can be hundreds of miles away from that little speck and get it. But we had one bush here that that little eye flew right across the coast of our island speaker-0: wow. speaker-1: and destroyed so fifty inches of rain coming down in huge mudslides and destroys a a community. They are still getting back on their feet from that one. So my point now is not necessarily to go there and help them. They may have people who can do that more locally. and it has there's a big trust issue there. But I can help them with supplies, I can help with with organizing things, I can help them with I mean whatever the community needs to try and get the stuff they need. At that moment and moving forward. speaker-0: Mm, mm. speaker-1: And I'm part of a team, I'm not doing it all by myself. It's a very large team. speaker-0: Hmm. That's that's amazing that they have that set up. speaker-1: So this idea for everybody has, by the way. speaker-0: Yep, yep. You're definitely still serving others and still serving a purpose. So thank you. well let me ask what has been your biggest aha moment that you've learned on this transformative journey that you've been on. speaker-1: The whole thing has been transformative. I really like seeing what Ram does. and this most recent one that our human construct of what we consider love is not really love at all and that there's a real love that's so much deeper, freer and more I I it's just the meaning of that one is gonna take some time, yeah. speaker-0: Mm-hmm. Do you ever get to experience little glimpses of that through anything, like besides your NDEs that you've had where you got to feel that kind of love? Do you ever like get in a meditative state? Or is there something that you've ever gotten to get a taste of that again speaker-1: Constantly. Con Yes. You can live in that space. And well, you don't have to live to be in a press a position to meditate. I can meditate walking out and reading. I can walk out in the yard and see the trees and meditate with them. I can meditate anywhere and I do it all the time. speaker-0: Mm. speaker-1: And so this is part of getting to that state of it's beyond human construct fear of It it and it's getting to be much more likely people I mean, people are doing this but they're realizing because people like me are saying so. You know, you don't have to to meditate like that. You can if you want to. My son is a Buddhist chaplain in the military. He's very, very good at that kind of meditation. I know. I like to be doing it in nature. speaker-0: That's amazing. Thank you. Yeah, thank you for sharing your message and I'll put the links to your do you have one book or do have a couple out? speaker-1: They're on Amazon and they're under my name Lei Mohr And you can reach me if you wish through I no longer have a a web page, but you can reach me through the email handletheshift at gmail dot com. speaker-0: Wonderful. Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you. Do you have any last parting words that you want to share? speaker-1: I hope that this has given people some idea of how much more they can have than what they might perceive they have right now. speaker-0: Yes, I hope for that too. Thank you. It really has. Your story has helped a tremendous amount. So thank you. speaker-1: And I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to speak with you again. speaker-0: Thank you, Lei. Yes. Keep in touch. Okay. Lots of love to you. Okay, speaker-1: Mm-hmm. speaker-0: bye-bye.
