- 1:38- Here is today's prayer.
- 1:45- Hello, and welcome to divine five one five
- 1:47- daily prayers with Vali Gocher.
- 1:51- I'm your host. And today's prayer topic is
- 1:54- what to do when you feel like giving
- 1:55- up and how prayer gives you the strength
- 1:57- to keep going.
- 1:58- Scriptural text comes from Isaiah forty thirty one
- 2:01- and reads, but those who hope in the
- 2:03- Lord will renew their strength.
- 2:07- Now
- 2:09- life, as we've talked about in previous episodes
- 2:12- is,
- 2:13- challenging,
- 2:14- right?
- 2:16- We get hit on every side and,
- 2:19- sometimes it feels like there's just really no
- 2:21- air,
- 2:22- in the room, no oxygen in the room.
- 2:25- And so it it feels like,
- 2:27- you know, maybe we're spiritually
- 2:29- hydroplaning,
- 2:31- so much so that sometimes life doesn't become
- 2:33- easier after we pray. The challenges still remain
- 2:36- and and the waiting continues and the answers
- 2:39- seem delayed.
- 2:40- And, you know, quite frankly, we quietly begin
- 2:43- wondering if we have the strength to keep
- 2:45- moving forward.
- 2:46- Well,
- 2:47- maybe not in our own strength. Right. But
- 2:50- in the strength of the Lord,
- 2:52- we can do all things. Right.
- 2:54- We often expect prayer to remove every obstacle,
- 2:58- which is not gonna happen because God is
- 3:00- more concerned about our character development
- 3:03- than our ease.
- 3:05- Instead, God frequently uses prayer to strengthen us
- 3:08- while we walk through each of these obstacles
- 3:12- and reminds us that he will never leave
- 3:14- us or forsake us, even though we might
- 3:16- doubt and think differently.
- 3:19- His greatest miracle isn't always changing the circumstance,
- 3:23- but I am source for taker that
- 3:25- he's usually going to change
- 3:27- you
- 3:28- when you when you allow him to do
- 3:30- so.
- 3:33- And because
- 3:34- prayer is,
- 3:36- so important,
- 3:38- it renews what pressure has drained. Right? It's
- 3:42- it's it's like releasing the the pressure valve.
- 3:45- It reminds us that our strength comes from
- 3:47- God's presence rather than perfect circumstances. Right? Because
- 3:50- life isn't perfect. In fact, it's often messy
- 3:54- and,
- 3:56- painful
- 3:57- and leaving
- 3:59- us with
- 4:00- more questions than than answers.
- 4:03- And every time we return to him,
- 4:05- the beautiful part about that is he meets
- 4:08- us with fresh grace for another day.
- 4:11- And,
- 4:12- that's where,
- 4:13- in the Lord's prayer, he gives us our
- 4:15- daily bread. Whatever the task is for the
- 4:17- day, he gives it to us to be
- 4:19- able to fulfill,
- 4:21- whatever it is for his glory.
- 4:24- So take heart.
- 4:26- Know that prayer is always the key, even
- 4:28- though it doesn't seem like it. Scripture says,
- 4:30- though it tarry, wait for it. Tarry is
- 4:32- another word for for enduring or or just
- 4:36- sticking to it.
- 4:37- Yes. We we might feel like we're gonna
- 4:39- pass out. Yes, we might feel like we're
- 4:41- gonna faint. But know that through God's
- 4:45- power,
- 4:46- it is possible
- 4:48- to to to make it through to the
- 4:49- other side.
- 4:51- So that being said,
- 4:53- let's
- 4:54- pray.
- 4:56- Father God, thank you that we never have
- 4:59- to rely on our own strength.
- 5:02- When we feel weary,
- 5:03- renew our hearts.
- 5:05- When we feel discouraged, remind us of your
- 5:08- promises.
- 5:09- When we feel like giving up, fill us
- 5:11- with courage to keep trusting.
- 5:14- Help us walk forward with confidence knowing that
- 5:17- you are strengthening
- 5:19- us every step of the way,
- 5:21- And we will bless you in Jesus' name.
- 5:25- Don't let discouragement have the final word.
- 5:29- Always return to God.
- 5:32- Today, tomorrow,
- 5:34- every day.
- 5:35- Keep returning.
- 5:38- And
- 5:39- that being said,
- 5:40- always remember
- 5:42- to meet God at the time.
