Washington's stranglehold on Yemen
Yemen's crisis has been aggravated significantly by a US measure that appears, at first glance, unrelated: the designation of the Houthis as a Foreign Terrorist Organisation (FTO). The Houthis (Ansar Allah) took control of Yemen's capital, Sana'a, in 2014. Since then, they have functioned as the government in much of the northern part of Yemen, where more than 70% of the population resides. - Outside in / Comment
