Welcome to Kick Ass Daily, where we bring news, trivia, fun
• 0:04
facts, and more just for curious kids like you.
• 0:07
Today we're diving into the story of someone you might have
• 0:10
seen on YouTube doing wild challenges, crazy stunts, and
• 0:13
giving away loads of prizes. His name is Mr. Beast, but who
• 0:18
is Mr. Beast and why do so many people watch his videos?
• 0:22
Let's find out together. Imagine you had a friend who
• 0:25
loved to play games, do funny dares, and was always thinking
• 0:28
of new ways to surprise people. Now imagine if that friend also
• 0:33
loved helping others and could turn even the silliest ideas
• 0:36
into a huge adventure. That's kind of what Mr. Beast is
• 0:40
like. Mr. Beast's real name is Jimmy
• 0:43
Donaldson. He was born in 1998, which makes
• 0:46
him a young adult today, but he started making videos when he
• 0:49
was just a teenager. Back then, he was just like any
• 0:52
other kid, playing video games and having fun with his friends.
• 0:56
But Jimmy had a big dream. He wanted to make videos that
• 0:59
people all over the world would love to watch.
• 1:02
At first, his videos were pretty simple.
• 1:05
Sometimes he'd play video games and talk about them.
• 1:08
Other times he'd try out fun experiments or silly challenges
• 1:12
like counting to 100,000 out loud.
• 1:15
Can you imagine counting to 100,000?
• 1:18
It took him over 40 hours. That's almost two whole days
• 1:22
  without stopping. That's dedication.
• 1:25
Now, you might be wondering what makes Mr. Beast so special.
• 1:29
After all, lots of people make videos on YouTube.
• 1:32
Well, Mr. Beast has a superpower.
• 1:35
He's really, really good at coming up with creative ideas
• 1:38
that no one else has tried before.
• 1:40
And he's not afraid to go big. Really big.
• 1:43
For example, he once filled his friend's backyard with a million
• 1:46
or bees. Those tiny squishy water beads.
• 1:50
In another video, he gave away an entire house to a lucky
• 1:54
stranger. Mr. Beast is also famous for his
• 1:57
generosity. That means he loves to give.
• 2:01
He's given away millions of dollars, cars, houses, and even
• 2:05
entire islands. Sometimes he'll do a challenge
• 2:08
like last to leave the circle wins $10,000, where a group of
• 2:12
friends or strangers has to stay inside a circle for as long as
• 2:16
possible. The last person left wins the
• 2:18
big prize. It's kind of like a game of
• 2:21
musical chairs, but with much bigger rewards.
• 2:24
But Mr. Beast doesn't just give away prizes for fun.
• 2:27
He also uses his videos to help people in need.
• 2:30
For example, he's paid for a surgery so people could see
• 2:33
again, donated food to food banks, and helped build wells to
• 2:37
give clean water to communities that need it.
• 2:40
He even started something called Team Trees, a project to plant
• 2:43
20 million trees around the world.
• 2:46
That's like planting a whole forest.
• 2:48
And guess what? With help from fans and other
• 2:51
creators, they actually did it. Here's a fun fact.
• 2:54
Mr. Beast's videos are watched by millions of people all over
• 2:58
the world. In fact, his YouTube channel is
• 3:00
one of the most popular ever, with over 200 million
• 3:04
subscribers. That's more people than the
• 3:06
  entire population of some countries.
• 3:09
His videos have been watched billions of times.
• 3:12
Imagine a stadium packed with fans cheering for their favorite
• 3:15
player. Now multiply that stadium by
• 3:18
thousands. That's how many people are
• 3:20
watching Mr. Beast. But making these videos isn't
• 3:23
easy. It takes a lot of teamwork and
• 3:26
planning. Mr. Beast works with a big group
• 3:28
of friends and helpers who helped him come up with ideas,
• 3:31
set up the challenges, and make sure everyone is safe.
• 3:35
They film with lots of cameras so they don't miss any of the
• 3:38
action, and then spend hours editing the videos to make them
• 3:41
exciting and fun to watch. Did you know that Mister Beast
• 3:44
sometimes spends more money making a video than he actually
• 3:47
earns from it? That's right, he's so passionate
• 3:51
about making people happy and creating cool content that he
• 3:54
often puts all the money he earns right back into his
• 3:56
videos. It's like if you got your
• 3:58
allowance, spend it on supplies for a science project and then
• 4:02
did it all over again just to make your next project even
• 4:04
better. Another cool thing about Mr.
• 4:06
Beast is how he uses his popularity to inspire others.
• 4:10
He encourages his fans to help out in their own communities,
• 4:14
whether that means planting a tree, picking up litter, or just
• 4:17
being kind to someone who needs it.
• 4:19
He shows that you don't have to be a superstar to make a
• 4:22
difference. Anyone can do something good, no
• 4:24
matter how big or small. Let's talk about some of his
• 4:28
most famous projects. Remember team Trees?
• 4:31
That was a huge success, but Mr. Beast didn't stop there.
• 4:35
He also launched Team CS, a project to remove 30,000,000 lbs
• 4:39
of trash from the world's oceans.
• 4:41
That's like taking more than 8000 elephants worth of garbage
• 4:45
out of the water. He worked with scientists,
• 4:48
divers and volunteers to clean up beaches and rivers, and
• 4:51
people from all over the world donated to help.
• 4:54
Mr. Beast also has a special food business called Mr. Beast
• 4:57
Burger. It's a restaurant, but not like
• 4:59
the ones you walk into. Instead, you order online and
• 5:03
the burgers are made in kitchens all over the country and
• 5:06
delivered to your door. It's like having a secret menu
• 5:09
that only fans know about. He even opened a real life Mr.
• 5:13
Beast Burger restaurant where thousands of fans lined up to
• 5:16
try the food and meet him in person.
• 5:18
Here's another Did you know Mr. Beast is really good at making
• 5:22
challenges that test patience, teamwork, and creativity?
• 5:26
In one video, he challenged a group of people to keep their
• 5:29
hands on a car for as long as possible.
• 5:31
If they let go, they were out. The last person holding on won
• 5:35
the car. In another, he recreated the
• 5:38
games from the TV show Squid Game, but in a safe and fun way,
• 5:42
with huge sets and lots of prizes.
• 5:44
But it's not all about wild stunts and big giveaways.
• 5:48
Sometimes Mr. Beast makes videos where he just helps people out,
• 5:52
like tipping waiters thousands of dollars or surprising his
• 5:55
friends with gifts. He's even helped animal shelters
• 5:58
by donating money, food and supplies so they can take care
• 6:02
of more pets. You might be wondering, how does
• 6:05
Mr. Beast come up with all these amazing ideas?
• 6:08
Well, he spends a lot of time brainstorming with his friends,
• 6:12
watching other videos for inspiration, and listening to
• 6:14
what his fans want to see. He says that one of the most
• 6:17
important things is to keep trying even if something doesn't
• 6:20
work out the first time. Just like when you try to learn
• 6:23
a new trick on your bike or finish a tough puzzle, sometimes
• 6:26
you have to practice and keep going until you get it right.
• 6:29
Even though Mr. Beast is super famous now, he hasn't forgotten
• 6:33
where he started. He often talks about how
• 6:36
important it is to be kind. Work hard and help others
• 6:39
whenever you can. He shows that you don't have to
• 6:42
be the richest or the smartest person in the world to make a
• 6:45
difference. You just need a big heart and a
• 6:47
lot of imagination. Let's do a quick recap of some
