- 0:02Speaker 1: YouTube dot com slash at Treehouse on air.
- 0:09Speaker 2: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:13Speaker 2: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with
- 0:17Speaker 2: Trey Trenholm and Jerry Caldwell today on the show if
- 0:24Speaker 2: we make it this far, the all New Info Wars
- 0:31Speaker 2: Jet Blue said, the quiet part out loud and we're
- 0:36Speaker 2: going to have a lovely check in with our buddy
- 0:40Speaker 2: Gary Busey. A butt first, It's been a very long
- 0:51Speaker 2: time since we've played. Could the answer b C? So
- 0:55Speaker 2: who wants to rectify that? Eh? All right, there you
- 1:00Speaker 2: go for the first time in a long time. That's
- 1:04Speaker 2: the wrong button it Could the answer be C inside
- 1:14Speaker 2: the tree House? Who said, just ask her out it
- 1:17Speaker 2: works for me? Was it A Quasimoto, B Steve Bushimi
- 1:23Speaker 2: or C Henry Cavill? See that is correct. It is
- 1:36Speaker 2: in fact Henry Cavill, who may or may not have
- 1:40Speaker 2: famously said just ask her out, it works for me.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Some of the most genius dating advice we have ever heard,
- 1:48Speaker 2: bestowed upon us by any human ever in the history
- 1:51Speaker 2: of time. Also by one of the best looking ones,
- 1:55Speaker 2: you big huge, super dick. At its core, this is
- 2:03Speaker 2: solid advice. It shoot your shot. What's the worst that
- 2:08Speaker 2: could happen? She says, no, Well, actually, the worst thing
- 2:12Speaker 2: that could happen is that she labels you a creep
- 2:14Speaker 2: and blasts you online and social media in perpetuity. But
- 2:18Speaker 2: let's hope you're respectful about it and that doesn't happen
- 2:21Speaker 2: at the end of the day. Henrikville says, just ask
- 2:24Speaker 2: her out. It works for me. I'm sure that was Henry.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I'm sure it does.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Some of the comments were on that were absolutely fantastic,
- 2:35Speaker 1: you know, just paint.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Picasso, Yeah, just math, Albert Einstein, Jesus. I don't know,
- 3:00Speaker 2: oh for sure, if he actually said this. I have
- 3:02Speaker 2: tried finding it because this keeps. This has gone around
- 3:05Speaker 2: to my feed on social media for a couple of weeks.
- 3:09Speaker 2: But Trey, thank you for sending it to me, because
- 3:13Speaker 2: this really is a kind of a golden thing to
- 3:16Speaker 2: discuss here inside the show. When an absolutely gorgeous man,
- 3:21Speaker 2: and I can say that as a heterosexual secure my masculinity, man,
- 3:27Speaker 2: Henry Caville is unfair to the rest of us men,
- 3:33Speaker 2: but it is what it is. I don't know if
- 3:37Speaker 2: he actually said this, I can only find it. The
- 3:40Speaker 2: only sources I can find it on are social posts.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I think this is one that it's not serious enough
- 3:49Speaker 1: that you really need to do a lot of digging.
- 3:51Speaker 1: You just hope it's true and run with it.
- 3:53Speaker 2: And that's where I was. I put it into Google.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I asked a question. I didn't get an immediate no.
- 3:58Speaker 2: It's not so my mind. It's absolutely one Henry Cavill said.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Just ask her out. It works for me.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Just kick the ball, Lionel Messy.
- 4:13Speaker 3: I mean this works for me too. I can guarantee
- 4:15Speaker 3: you fifty percent of the time. It works one hundred
- 4:17Speaker 3: percent of the time. Just make the movie Stanley Cooper.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Yeah, uh, I just yeah. Again, it's actually good advice.
- 4:28Speaker 2: If if, if there's someone that really just has caught
- 4:31Speaker 2: your eye, go for it. However, if you're not Henry Cavill,
- 4:38Speaker 2: at least prepare yourself mentally for a letdown.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Do I mean, just on the opposite side of that,
- 4:52Speaker 3: there are people out there who Henry Cavill is not
- 4:54Speaker 3: their type, right. I mean, I'm a straight man, and
- 5:01Speaker 3: I might say yes, I mean, I'm with you, but
- 5:06Speaker 3: just I don't know. I guess what I'm asking is
- 5:13Speaker 3: is has he ever felt that rejection?
- 5:16Speaker 2: I would like to know that works for me too,
- 5:23Speaker 2: Signed Chris Evans. Yeah. Yeah, the commentsary you're right there
- 5:32Speaker 2: are pretty solid.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Just throw a punch, Muhammad Ali.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Look, not everything can be based on looks. Sometimes personality
- 5:47Speaker 2: has to come into play. And it is very possible
- 5:50Speaker 2: that Henry Cavill said this, And it also is very
- 5:53Speaker 2: possible that he said this tongue in cheek, which if
- 5:55Speaker 2: he did anything tongue in cheek would probably be considered
- 5:58Speaker 2: some type of a come on, even if he just
- 6:00Speaker 2: actually had something in his tooth. I even maybe he
- 6:10Speaker 2: was joking when he said it, it still rings true
- 6:16Speaker 2: because I think if you're that good looking, you're self aware.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Like you know, most of us know whether or not
- 6:24Speaker 2: we're ugly or not. I would think all of us
- 6:27Speaker 2: here right now would say not ugly. I would not
- 6:31Speaker 2: say about any of us, and I definitely would not
- 6:33Speaker 2: say it about myself that I am a gorgeous man,
- 6:37Speaker 2: not at all. Brad pitt Enricaville, those guys are. They
- 6:41Speaker 2: hit the genetic lottery and nothing we can do about that.
- 6:44Speaker 2: That's why we have to That's why we have to
- 6:47Speaker 2: work more on our personalities.
- 6:50Speaker 1: And why I'm single.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Wait, no, you're not. You got a girl?
- 6:56Speaker 1: Well, okay, why I've been single for most of my life.
- 7:00Speaker 2: It's just taking fifty one years.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I think at a certain point, even
- 7:07Speaker 1: though maybe at one point in his life Henriy Caville
- 7:10Speaker 1: was blind to the fact that he's better looking than
- 7:13Speaker 1: most people. I think at a certain point, because you know,
- 7:17Speaker 1: you've all seen it. It's like there's certain people they
- 7:20Speaker 1: walk into a bar wherever, you know, you can hear
- 7:25Speaker 1: the panties drop, you know, there's a collective thud.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's a guy that, while he's most famous
- 7:35Speaker 2: for playing Superman, he could have played it without the
- 7:38Speaker 2: cape because it's just already there. You're right, If Henry
- 7:41Speaker 2: Caville walks into a bar.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean so so he knows. He has to
- 7:48Speaker 1: know at this point he can get away with things
- 7:51Speaker 1: a lot of most people can't. Yeah, and it'd be
- 7:56Speaker 1: nice to just know what that's like for a day.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I would get nothing, but also so much done. Uh. Meanwhile,
- 8:15Speaker 2: if you are looking to attract the attention of someone
- 8:19Speaker 2: and you're not the prettiest of people, then you better
- 8:21Speaker 2: have a sparkling personality like our old pal Gary Busey.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Let's check in with our buddy Gary Busey, shall we?
- 8:31Speaker 2: What's he been up too lately?
- 8:33Speaker 4: Why do you know what your why stays?
- 8:36Speaker 5: For?
- 8:37Speaker 4: Tomorrow's really yesterday? Ah, go ahead and try.
- 8:48Speaker 2: I think he just broke my brain for me.
- 8:55Speaker 1: The most troubling thing about this is the food flying
- 8:59Speaker 1: out of his mouth and on his mouth, like all
- 9:02Speaker 1: over his mouth.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Tr y, do you know what? Try?
- 9:09Speaker 1: Right?
- 9:09Speaker 2: There's coming to Yeah, it's like an Artemius rocket shooting
- 9:12Speaker 2: out of his face. Oh is he yes? Jerry? Is?
- 9:20Speaker 3: Is Is he homeless? Did did they find him outside
- 9:25Speaker 3: this restaurant and bring him in?
- 9:28Speaker 2: I mean no, I don't think so. I will say
- 9:31Speaker 2: that every time he posts, or whoever posts for him,
- 9:36Speaker 2: his clothes always look rough, like they look dirty. Clearly
- 9:44Speaker 2: it's you know, and you know what, Maybe it's because
- 9:46Speaker 2: his clothing is constantly in his own splash zone when
- 9:50Speaker 2: he's eating. Because right, look in just those few seconds
- 9:53Speaker 2: you've got food particles flying out. And that's just a
- 9:56Speaker 2: video we saw. That's just a snap shot in a
- 9:59Speaker 2: day of Gary.
- 10:00Speaker 3: You see, because that hat looks like it hasn't been
- 10:02Speaker 3: washed since the Reagan administration, and.
- 10:04Speaker 2: It also looks like it got run over by the
- 10:07Speaker 2: Reagan administration. I mean that is that is that is
- 10:11Speaker 2: a rough looking hat.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Why do you know what try stays for Tomorrow's really yesterday? Aha,
- 10:21Speaker 4: go ahead and try.
- 10:22Speaker 2: What you know to be fair in Gary Busey's world,
- 10:26Speaker 2: that may be true Tomorrow's read yesterday.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I I actually I saw a clip of Gary Busey
- 10:41Speaker 1: from late eighties early nineties talking about quantum theory, which
- 10:45Speaker 1: blew my mind. It was like, maybe he's he's a
- 10:49Speaker 1: lot smarter, and maybe he's up on you know, quantum
- 10:52Speaker 1: theory of time and everything else, or he's just crazy.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Take your pick.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Do you do you think those thoughts were his or
- 11:01Speaker 2: was he just you know, because I mean he's an actor.
- 11:03Speaker 2: You give him a give him a bunch of lines
- 11:06Speaker 2: to read, and he can make it sound convincing.
- 11:09Speaker 1: No, So I'll have to find the clip. The clip
- 11:13Speaker 1: he when he was talking about quantum theory of Uh
- 11:18Speaker 1: it was before Yeah, we're talking about like I said,
- 11:20Speaker 1: late eighties, early nineties before YouTube for the only way
- 11:22Speaker 1: you could find out this information was like you were
- 11:26Speaker 1: studying in books or whatever. Yeah, this isn't something you
- 11:30Speaker 1: just watched a YouTube video and regurgitated it.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Well, now you can watch Gary Busey videos on YouTube
- 11:39Speaker 2: and regurgitated while he regurgitates exactly that. Yeah, I mean,
- 11:51Speaker 2: like on his Mickey Mouse hat on his head. It's
- 11:53Speaker 2: a white hat. Mickey Mouse O was on it. You
- 11:56Speaker 2: got the little rope thing across the bill, and the
- 11:58Speaker 2: bill looks rough. Well, it looks like he may have
- 12:02Speaker 2: used that hat to wipe at some point.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Well, look, I mean he has food in his fingers
- 12:07Speaker 1: and then he and he touched, so you can easily see. Now,
- 12:12Speaker 1: let me say this, I have some hats that are
- 12:13Speaker 1: absolutely disgusting, so I can't throw too many stones. But
- 12:19Speaker 1: their hats are usually wear to like work out or whatever,
- 12:21Speaker 1: not just out in public.
- 12:26Speaker 2: As this actually looks he kind of looks like it's
- 12:29Speaker 2: been long. I've not been to a Texas roadhouse in
- 12:31Speaker 2: a while. At the table looks a little like a
- 12:33Speaker 2: Texas roadhouse, but the rest of the restaurant looks a
- 12:36Speaker 2: little bit nicer. I have no idea where this is,
- 12:41Speaker 2: but yeah, I mean he's got his super dirty hat
- 12:43Speaker 2: that looks like he may have either used to wipe
- 12:46Speaker 2: his ass or he's used as a canvas for his bookers.
- 12:51Speaker 2: And then there's the pin streak across the top of
- 12:53Speaker 2: it as well.
- 12:57Speaker 1: In my mind, Jake, you see, is the one filming,
- 13:03Speaker 1: and it's just simply a matter of he checks his
- 13:06Speaker 1: bank account. It's like, oh, gotta make some money. Get
- 13:10Speaker 1: that out.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Yeah, don't give.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Him his meds. Let's get that out, full day of
- 13:17Speaker 1: content and then we're good for a month.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Get that out of what the sarcophagus?
- 13:24Speaker 1: Uh, the back room. They have him walked up in
- 13:28Speaker 1: the rubber.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Yeah, he's cause they got him chained up in the
- 13:32Speaker 2: basement like sloth from the Goonies. You come walking and
- 13:36Speaker 2: here you god, that's watching Jeopardy reruns from the eighties.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Uh huh, oh man, I do love me some beauty.
- 13:48Speaker 1: He's a national treasure.
- 13:49Speaker 2: M but he's also the treasure you need to be
- 13:55Speaker 2: aware of because I don't know because if if he is,
- 13:59Speaker 2: where the X is on your map.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I mean you have two options. Wayne Brady, Gary Busey.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Okay, you're in the tree house.
- 14:22Speaker 5: Visit us online. I'm freehouse OnAir dot com.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Eight three three COOKDFW is the phone number you will
- 14:30Speaker 2: need to reach Daniel Cook at COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Use that to schedule your free roof inspection and property
- 14:37Speaker 2: review today. Look, let's be honest, the roofing industry is
- 14:40Speaker 2: not the most well regarded on the consumer side because
- 14:43Speaker 2: there are so many fly by night, slash straight up
- 14:46Speaker 2: fraudsters out there taking advantage of homeowners. What's what's a
- 14:51Speaker 2: homeowner to do?
- 14:52Speaker 6: Daniel buyer Beware, Buyer Beware. I can't stress out enough.
- 14:56Speaker 6: We talk about this all the time. You as a
- 14:59Speaker 6: homeowner responsible for who you have on your property, how
- 15:02Speaker 6: they repair it, and there's not much support that's going
- 15:06Speaker 6: to be given to you. So do your due diligence.
- 15:09Speaker 6: Do the you know, discovery on the company you're using,
- 15:11Speaker 6: find out what their reviews, you know, ask for some references,
- 15:15Speaker 6: are they local, do they have they already done?
- 15:17Speaker 2: You know, work in your neighborhood.
- 15:18Speaker 6: Before we just had this happen, we had a client
- 15:21Speaker 6: that we worked on several homes around them. They unfortunately
- 15:25Speaker 6: went with a contractor that was based out of Houston.
- 15:27Speaker 6: They drove up here after the last storm in September.
- 15:30Speaker 6: They went door knocking. They asked this client to get
- 15:32Speaker 6: their business from told they had all this crew, they
- 15:34Speaker 6: had all these specially people that could handle their their
- 15:37Speaker 6: you know, problems at their home. Well, you know, five
- 15:40Speaker 6: months into this now they have more problems than they
- 15:43Speaker 6: actually had after the storm, because now they've let somebody
- 15:46Speaker 6: that painted their house wrong overspray on the brick. You know,
- 15:50Speaker 6: the garage doors not you know, put in there correctly.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Windows are not sealed around. They broke brit trying to
- 15:57Speaker 6: install the windows. They try to put carpet in a
- 15:59Speaker 6: bedroom and they the big seam all the way down
- 16:01Speaker 6: the middle of the room, so you can see this
- 16:02Speaker 6: huge seam in this carpet. Just there's a mountain of lists.
- 16:06Speaker 6: And now unfortunately this homeowner's finding themselves they had to
- 16:09Speaker 6: hire a lawyer, spend money on litigation up front, because
- 16:13Speaker 6: most lawyers aren't going to take that on pro bono
- 16:16Speaker 6: or anything. Now they're fighting this contractor on doing the
- 16:20Speaker 6: right thing with their home, and they're just asking the
- 16:22Speaker 6: contractor to relieve themselves of any liability. They're willing to
- 16:26Speaker 6: pay them a small amount of money of the things
- 16:28Speaker 6: they've already done, which they're actually going to spend more
- 16:30Speaker 6: money to fix them. But these are the things that
- 16:33Speaker 6: you have to do and the company is not willing
- 16:36Speaker 6: to do the right thing. You know, that's the red
- 16:38Speaker 6: flag in itself. But unfortunately, now this homeowner's going to
- 16:41Speaker 6: go through all of this huge lawyer litigation stuff and
- 16:45Speaker 6: all this and is going to drag out the repairs
- 16:46Speaker 6: on their home. So now they're going to be out
- 16:48Speaker 6: repairs on the home another six eight nine months.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Maybe save yourself the headaches, save yourself the possible nightmares.

- 18:03Speaker 2: end of the week for regular free show programming inside
- 18:07Speaker 2: the Treehouse. So let's celebrate Thursday, April twenty third, twenty
- 18:12Speaker 2: twenty six with some birthdays. All right, this is weird.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Didn't I say yesterday, tray that John Cena's birthday? Didn't
- 18:25Speaker 2: I say yesterday that it was John Cena's birthday? Yes?
- 18:29Speaker 2: All right, Well now it's telling me it's also today. Okay,
- 18:32Speaker 2: you know what. That's such a good dude. We'll wish
- 18:34Speaker 2: him happy birthday twice. He does hold the record, by
- 18:38Speaker 2: the way, for the most make a wish interactions of
- 18:42Speaker 2: any human on the planet. That is one good dude.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I got. I can't remember what it was. There was
- 18:49Speaker 2: a clip I saw a few weeks ago. It was
- 18:52Speaker 2: at some public speaking thing. I'm assuming it was WWE related,
- 18:56Speaker 2: where they're talking to people and they're doing like Q
- 18:59Speaker 2: and A stuff the crowd and John Seene's on stage
- 19:02Speaker 2: and he's you know, talking and stuff, and he takes
- 19:06Speaker 2: a question from the crowd, and this guy who's wearing
- 19:09Speaker 2: I think you know John Cena wrestling shirt says, I
- 19:13Speaker 2: don't really have a question. I just want to thank you,
- 19:17Speaker 2: and he thanks him. He's like, I'm a cancer survivor.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I've gone through this, I've gone through that. It's been hell,
- 19:23Speaker 2: but you know, I'm a huge fan of yours and
- 19:25Speaker 2: you've you know, really pulled me through some really you know,
- 19:29Speaker 2: dark and troubling times. And then he's like, well, actually,
- 19:32Speaker 2: I guess I do have a question. Can I get
- 19:35Speaker 2: a hug? I'm getting chills thinking about it. John Sena
- 19:40Speaker 2: doesn't even answer him. He doesn't even hesitate. He puts
- 19:45Speaker 2: the microphone down and jumps right off stage, right into
- 19:47Speaker 2: the crowd without missing a beat, and then just envelops
- 19:51Speaker 2: this man in a huge hug. One of the most
- 19:54Speaker 2: beautiful things I've ever seen.
- 19:58Speaker 1: You could tell. Normally, you know, professional wrestling, a lot
- 20:03Speaker 1: of personalities clash and don't like each other. There's always
- 20:06Speaker 1: stories about feuds. When he retired, you look at the
- 20:11Speaker 1: people that you know took part in his send off,
- 20:16Speaker 1: you know, kind of memorial whatever. Generally, just a well
- 20:21Speaker 1: liked person and everyone thinks it's a good human being.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Yeah, So happy forty ninth birthday to John seen it
- 20:29Speaker 2: one of the good ones. Other birthdays today. Cal Penn
- 20:32Speaker 2: is also forty nine from Harold and Kumar fame. Who's
- 20:38Speaker 2: an interesting thing. So in Hollywood this has happened a
- 20:40Speaker 2: number of times where someone had a really good acting
- 20:44Speaker 2: career and then they were able to parlay that into
- 20:48Speaker 2: a political career. Ronald Reagan is probably one of the
- 20:52Speaker 2: most famous to have done it, or perhaps Arnold Schwarzenegger
- 20:56Speaker 2: is the most famous to have done it as governor
- 20:59Speaker 2: of California. There are others. Cal Penn did the opposite.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Cal Penn had some success in Hollywood. I know, I
- 21:08Speaker 2: guess it is the same thing. Never mind, instead of
- 21:10Speaker 2: running for elected office he had, he got hired into
- 21:13Speaker 2: the Obama administration. I forget what he did. It was
- 21:15Speaker 2: some maybe something in the communications department, but still pretty cool.
- 21:19Speaker 2: He didn't even, you know, go into running for office.
- 21:22Speaker 2: He just said, hey, I'd love to help with the
- 21:24Speaker 2: campaign or something or and then they they hired him
- 21:26Speaker 2: and worked. He worked in the damn White House for
- 21:28Speaker 2: like six seven years, and they took a little break
- 21:32Speaker 2: from acting.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Yeah, and then turned around and upon leaving, took a
- 21:37Speaker 1: role on Designated Survivor, which was kind of the same
- 21:40Speaker 1: thing he had been doing.
- 21:41Speaker 2: So Yeah, Yeah, very very cool thing. Character politics are
- 21:46Speaker 2: That's a cool thing, especially to you know, not give
- 21:50Speaker 2: up your career, but to halt it, which is very
- 21:53Speaker 2: dangerous to do in Hollywood and go do public service.
- 21:59Speaker 2: It's very cool. Other birthdays today Dev Patel from Slumdog
- 22:04Speaker 2: Millionaire Fame. He's thirty six. Also, what was the action
- 22:08Speaker 2: movie he did? Was it Monkey Man? Yes?
- 22:11Speaker 1: Excellent?
- 22:12Speaker 2: That was that was really good. That was a fun,
- 22:14Speaker 2: fun movie. Jerry. I'm guessing based on the look on
- 22:17Speaker 2: your face you have not seen it. I have not.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I love a good action movie. Peacock I think is
- 22:24Speaker 2: what it was originally on I'm not sure if it
- 22:25Speaker 2: still is just search for I think it's Monkey Man,
- 22:28Speaker 2: Dev Pattel, really really good action movie. Then on plot,
- 22:35Speaker 2: big on punches, just mine how I like it. Yeah,
- 22:38Speaker 2: turning eighty seven years old today, Lee.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Majors the original Fall Guy.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Yeah, six million dollar man Fall Guy, which gives me
- 22:50Speaker 2: an opportunity yet again to tell you if you have
- 22:53Speaker 2: not seen the Ryan Gosling Emily Blunt Fall Guy movie.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Do yourself a favor and watch it. That to me
- 23:00Speaker 2: is one of the greatest Hollywood fumbles in recent memory
- 23:03Speaker 2: as far as a film, because that movie is so
- 23:06Speaker 2: much fun. It's really good. It might be a little long,
- 23:10Speaker 2: but it's really really good. And it's like they just
- 23:13Speaker 2: screwed up the marketing on it or something.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I I tend to agree with you. I think
- 23:21Speaker 1: maybe you have to be of a certain age to
- 23:24Speaker 1: have really appreciated it. You had to have known what
- 23:26Speaker 1: The Fall Guy was in the first place and kind
- 23:29Speaker 1: of watched the show.
- 23:30Speaker 2: I don't think you needed to. I do wonder if
- 23:34Speaker 2: that's what they did as far as screwing it up
- 23:37Speaker 2: marketing wise, thinking that, oh, well, this will just you know,
- 23:40Speaker 2: it's nostalgia bait, so all the people saw the show
- 23:43Speaker 2: in the eighties, it will come out. But you still
- 23:45Speaker 2: got to sell the show to people that have never
- 23:47Speaker 2: seen You still have to sell the movie to people
- 23:49Speaker 2: who have never seen the show that it was based on.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Well, and I don't disagree with you. The Fall Guy
- 23:57Speaker 1: and to me was not a super hit show. I mean,
- 24:02Speaker 1: it was popular, but it wasn't at the level of
- 24:07Speaker 1: let's say, Dallas or even the Dukes of Hazzard or
- 24:11Speaker 1: some of the other big shows in the eighties. It
- 24:14Speaker 1: was a tier two show. It was fun, and it
- 24:20Speaker 1: followed eighties formula, you know, action guy, hot blonde.
- 24:25Speaker 2: And.
- 24:27Speaker 1: But I agree with you the movie was a lot
- 24:29Speaker 1: of fun, and I do I think they totally fumbled
- 24:34Speaker 1: the marketing and I think maybe they just thought everyone
- 24:36Speaker 1: would be like, oh, yeah, we'll go see it. You know,
- 24:37Speaker 1: I love The Fall Guy, when I don't think as
- 24:40Speaker 1: many people remember The Fall Guy as they would other things.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Yeah, you are right though, that was sort of the
- 24:47Speaker 2: eighties template for some of those action shows. Older main
- 24:51Speaker 2: character guy who was established name lee majors, younger, hot
- 24:58Speaker 2: athletic guy, what's his name? Who is the Fall Guy's buddy?
- 25:01Speaker 2: And then the hot blonde And that was Heather Thomas
- 25:04Speaker 2: in The Fall Guy. Same exact formula for t. J. Hooker,
- 25:09Speaker 2: William ser As, William Shatner as the older established guy
- 25:13Speaker 2: to you know, give the show some clout, a young
- 25:17Speaker 2: hot Adrian Zahmed whoa for the action and the athleticism,
- 25:24Speaker 2: and then Heather Locklear the blonde badge bunny is good formula.
- 25:34Speaker 2: It was tried true, which maybe explains why Airwolf wasn't
- 25:40Speaker 2: quite at the same level of success because when you
- 25:44Speaker 2: got Ernest Borgnine, yeah, I mean, and then I mean,
- 25:50Speaker 2: that's just too much hotness. They didn't have enough room
- 25:53Speaker 2: for the hot blonde on the show because Ernest borgnine
- 25:55Speaker 2: was scorching the screen.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Yeah. The only other, I mean, night Rider Hasselhoff was
- 26:03Speaker 1: just hot enough for all of it.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and then put the older and they put the
- 26:07Speaker 2: older established actor guy in the car.
- 26:11Speaker 1: And then rotated hot chicks every episode.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yeah, they couldn't. All the hot blondes were taken at
- 26:17Speaker 2: the time, so they just rotated the women in it worked.
- 26:20Speaker 2: That works too, just revolving door just whenever I guess,
- 26:23Speaker 2: I guess, I guess whenever hassel was done huffing them,
- 26:27Speaker 2: they would just bring in a new one. So Happy birthday,
- 26:33Speaker 2: Lee Majors eighty seven years old. Today. Chauncey Billups is fifty.
- 26:39Speaker 2: It is believed that today is William Shakespeare's birthday. If
- 26:43Speaker 2: he was still alive, he'd be four hundred and sixty
- 26:45Speaker 2: two and probably looking pretty haggard. Also, Roy Orbison Today's birthday.
- 26:54Speaker 2: And I don't know if there's a specific date on this,
- 26:56Speaker 2: but Apparently it's often joked about in the show an
- 27:01Speaker 2: April birthday from Seinfeld George Costanzo. So take that for
- 27:07Speaker 2: what you will, that he's very excited for it.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Well, this almost seems like blasphemy. And if y'all watch
- 27:17Speaker 1: Seinfeld again.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Oh again? No, No, I mean I've.
- 27:26Speaker 3: I'll stop and watch the clips when they show up
- 27:28Speaker 3: in in my feeds and stuff.
- 27:30Speaker 2: But yeah, I'll do that on occasion, but I've not
- 27:32Speaker 2: gone back and rewatched the entire series.
- 27:35Speaker 3: There's one episode that I will rewatch though, if it
- 27:38Speaker 3: ever shows up, and that's the one where they're lost
- 27:41Speaker 3: in the underground parking Kramer's carrying that damn television around.
- 27:49Speaker 2: I have not seen I know, I have not seen
- 27:52Speaker 2: every episode of Seinfeld. I've seen a bunch of them,
- 27:54Speaker 2: but I mostly when I watched them was a long
- 27:56Speaker 2: time ago, either back when they were first running, or
- 27:58Speaker 2: they when they first got on syndication.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I was I just it happened to be on and
- 28:06Speaker 1: I watched some of it, and it may have it
- 28:09Speaker 1: was just the episode or whatever. I just remember thinking,
- 28:12Speaker 1: this isn't aging as well as I thought it would.
- 28:15Speaker 2: You're right, it may just be episode specific. I still
- 28:20Speaker 2: remember the Shrinkage episode. That one of all the episodes,
- 28:28Speaker 2: that one that that's one I usually think of when
- 28:30Speaker 2: I think of Seinfeld.
- 28:31Speaker 1: And it also it very well. Maybe that what was
- 28:35Speaker 1: groundbreaking at the time with Seinfeld and the subjects that
- 28:39Speaker 1: covered and how it was delivered have have now been
- 28:42Speaker 1: you know, worked over so many times that it it
- 28:45Speaker 1: loses it's a little bit of its luster.
- 28:47Speaker 2: And if you think about it, Curby Your Enthusiasm is
- 28:50Speaker 2: basically just Seinfeld with but a modern twist on it,
- 28:55Speaker 2: with more you know, it's sharper like, it cuts deeper.
- 29:01Speaker 2: So maybe that's why.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Well both are the genius of Larry David's writing. I
- 29:07Speaker 1: think probably with Kurby Your Enthusiasm, And admittedly I have
- 29:11Speaker 1: not seen the majority of that show. I've seen some
- 29:13Speaker 1: of it, but I think that's that's Larry David, older
- 29:17Speaker 1: and unfiltered.
- 29:20Speaker 2: I'd agree with that, And it makes sense because it
- 29:21Speaker 2: should be because Seinfeld was network television and he was younger.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Kurby Your Enthusiasm was HBO and and he no longer
- 29:30Speaker 2: gave him fly an f.
- 29:31Speaker 1: It didn't have to, I mean, especially after the first
- 29:36Speaker 1: season or two of Curb Your enthusiasm then. I mean,
- 29:40Speaker 1: that was such a hit. He could do whatever the
- 29:41Speaker 1: hell he wanted.
- 29:44Speaker 2: It really was, and man, they made I don't know
- 29:48Speaker 2: how much money Larry David made on that show, but
- 29:50Speaker 2: it is amazing to me how much Seinfeld made on
- 29:55Speaker 2: that show, because see, I think he was one of
- 29:56Speaker 2: the first to hit the million dollar per episode in
- 30:00Speaker 2: the day. I think it was him, followed followed pretty
- 30:03Speaker 2: soon after by Kelsey Grammer and some others. Ray Romano
- 30:07Speaker 2: was up there with you.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I remember, I remember Friends, Friends and Seinfeld both around
- 30:15Speaker 1: that time were at that right at that million dollar
- 30:18Speaker 1: an episode.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember. I can't remember after which season it was,
- 30:25Speaker 2: if it was like the fifth or sixth season or
- 30:28Speaker 2: fourth whatever of Friends went out was huge news because
- 30:31Speaker 2: they all banded together, all six of them, and said
- 30:33Speaker 2: we're all going to make the same and they all
- 30:35Speaker 2: and they all pulled in a million dollars per episode.
- 30:37Speaker 2: It's like, good on them. And then for that final
- 30:40Speaker 2: season for the tenth I don't even know how much
- 30:42Speaker 2: it was, but that was astronomical, I'm sure.
- 30:45Speaker 1: If I remember correctly, wasn't that I want to say
- 30:51Speaker 1: it was something like two three million dollars an episode.
- 30:53Speaker 7: It might have been because but yeah, but they also
- 30:57Speaker 7: one of the things and that this was the fascinating
- 30:59Speaker 7: thing at the time, was in order to get that money,
- 31:05Speaker 7: I believe they gave up on some of the future
- 31:09Speaker 7: syndication rights the money they would have gotten.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Down the road.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 31:15Speaker 3: So they started out making twenty two five hundred per episode,
- 31:20Speaker 3: and by season nine and ten they were each making
- 31:24Speaker 3: one million per episode, and they all signed contracts for
- 31:30Speaker 3: a two percent of the syndication revenue, which means today
- 31:34Speaker 3: they roughly make twenty million dollars annually in residuals.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Okay, I knew, or maybe they took less then and
- 31:44Speaker 1: made took syndication. I remember there was something. It was
- 31:48Speaker 1: at the time, it was groundbreaking about how they were
- 31:50Speaker 1: being compensated.
- 31:52Speaker 2: And thank you for that, Jerry. I had forgotten that.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I have seen that a few times online where it's
- 31:57Speaker 2: the cast of Friends. The main six all still pulled
- 32:01Speaker 2: roughly twenty million dollars a year in royalties.
- 32:06Speaker 1: And smartly, and it's amazing that more shows didn't follow
- 32:10Speaker 1: that template. So I remember Big Bang Theory followed that
- 32:12Speaker 1: template where they all banded together and said all or nothing,
- 32:18Speaker 1: and you made huge money for the last I think
- 32:21Speaker 1: two seasons.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Yeah, the the top three, Penny Sheldon and Johnny Gillecki, Leonard,
- 32:29Speaker 2: the top three on that show. They banded together. And
- 32:31Speaker 2: then the next tier of the cast, you know, with
- 32:34Speaker 2: Wallawitz and raj and and Blossom maam biolic, Yeah, maam biolic.
- 32:43Speaker 2: And then I can never Melissa Rouch, the Blonde. They
- 32:48Speaker 2: all made a little bit less than the top three,
- 32:51Speaker 2: but they all still made bank.
- 32:53Speaker 1: I think for the final season they all, oh, they
- 32:56Speaker 1: all got together. There was either something for the fine season,
- 33:00Speaker 1: the final two seasons. Yeah, they all banded together and
- 33:03Speaker 1: it said it was all for one, one for all,
- 33:06Speaker 1: take it or leave it, and.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Good for that. Speaking of banking, A reportedly oh hang on,
- 33:16Speaker 2: this needs a little more attention drawn to it. Jet
- 33:21Speaker 2: Blue Airlines just said the quiet part out loud. A
- 33:26Speaker 2: reportedly deleted jet Blue tweet just confirmed what everyone has
- 33:30Speaker 2: suspected about airline ticket pricing. Someone had posted on x
- 33:36Speaker 2: I love flying at Jet Blue, but a two hundred
- 33:38Speaker 2: and thirty dollars increase on a ticket after one day
- 33:42Speaker 2: is crazy. I'm just trying to make it to a funeral.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Jet Blue's official social media account responded by saying, try
- 33:52Speaker 2: clearing your cash and cookies or booking with an incognito window.
- 33:56Speaker 2: We are sorry for your loss. Yeah, the reason that
- 34:04Speaker 2: advice actually works is the whole problem. Airlines use surveillance pricing,
- 34:10Speaker 2: where algorithms analyze your browsing history, device type, and search
- 34:15Speaker 2: patterns to determine how much you're personally willing to pay.
- 34:19Speaker 2: If you've searched a route before the price goes up,
- 34:23Speaker 2: Clearing your cookies resets that profile. Surveillance pricing is currently
- 34:28Speaker 2: legal at the federal level, but the regulatory ground is
- 34:30Speaker 2: shifting fast. More than a dozen states have proposed or
- 34:34Speaker 2: passed laws targeting to practice this year alone, with New
- 34:39Speaker 2: York already requiring companies to disclose when an algorithm is
- 34:42Speaker 2: using your personal data to set your price. The House
- 34:46Speaker 2: Committee on Oversight also launched a formal investigation into surveillance
- 34:49Speaker 2: pricing in the travel industry in March of this year.
- 34:53Speaker 2: The Internet is less upset that JetBlue does it, and
- 34:55Speaker 2: more upset that they accidentally told demand trying to get
- 34:58Speaker 2: to a funeral how to be their own system. I
- 35:02Speaker 2: appreciate JetBlue doing that for this guy, but clearly the
- 35:05Speaker 2: social media person in charge of the account that day
- 35:09Speaker 2: wasn't supposed to say it because they later deleted it.
- 35:11Speaker 2: But thankfully the Internet is forever and their screen caps
- 35:14Speaker 2: that proved it. So surveillance pricing if you thought it
- 35:18Speaker 2: was real but weren't sure, now you know.
- 35:20Speaker 1: See I had never maybe I don't travel enough or whatever.
- 35:25Speaker 1: I had never heard about the airlines doing this. I
- 35:27Speaker 1: had heard people accuse Uber of doing this.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Hotels do it too, Yeah, hotels. It's if you're paying
- 35:34Speaker 2: money for some type of a service. Odds are there's
- 35:37Speaker 2: some surveillance pricing happening like me, I wouldn't surprise me
- 35:44Speaker 2: if TIMU does it as well. I know that Amazon
- 35:49Speaker 2: has to do it on some level because where I
- 35:51Speaker 2: live and Amazon Prime membership doesn't do me squat, I
- 35:55Speaker 2: still end up having to pay ten to fifteen dollars
- 35:58Speaker 2: for shipping to get stuff to me here on the
- 35:59Speaker 2: Eye than to Saint Thomas. So we canceled our Prime membership. Yesterday,
- 36:03Speaker 2: I was buying an Ethernet port thing on Amazon because
- 36:06Speaker 2: some of those things are hard to find here at times,
- 36:10Speaker 2: so I went to Amazon to buy it and wanted
- 36:12Speaker 2: me to re up my Prime membership and it said, hey,
- 36:15Speaker 2: we'll give you fifty percent off. Like, hey, I'm not
- 36:19Speaker 2: buying enough stuff on it to justify it. Go to
- 36:22Speaker 2: the next window. All right, we'll give it to you
- 36:24Speaker 2: for free for a week or and just order everything
- 36:27Speaker 2: you want. You're like, Okay, I see what you're up to.
- 36:30Speaker 2: And that's a small version of it. But the airlines,
- 36:33Speaker 2: it's absolutely real. We've traveled enough trade. It's very real thing.
- 36:37Speaker 2: You could look at a you could look at the
- 36:39Speaker 2: price of a ticket today and the next time you
- 36:43Speaker 2: go back, if you haven't purchased that ticket, it likely
- 36:46Speaker 2: goes up because you're showing you're still interested.
- 36:52Speaker 1: What are you gonna do if Spirit close us up shop?
- 37:02Speaker 2: Well, I'm gonna have to send a strongly worded letter
- 37:05Speaker 2: to American airlines to get their shit together because and
- 37:09Speaker 2: I feel like it'll I feel like it might cut
- 37:11Speaker 2: through some of that noise. Because if I'm an airline
- 37:16Speaker 2: and I have a customer tell me that Spirit Airlines
- 37:20Speaker 2: is outperforming me as far as customer service and everything,
- 37:26Speaker 2: that should be a wake up call. And you know
- 37:28Speaker 2: you're not the only one. Look, Spirit has its issues,
- 37:33Speaker 2: there's no doubt, and I prefer not to fly Spirit
- 37:35Speaker 2: Airlines in the regular United States, but when it comes
- 37:40Speaker 2: to getting from the States to the US Virgin Islands,
- 37:43Speaker 2: it has been the most reliable airline that we have used.
- 37:47Speaker 1: I again, I think I have probably flown six times
- 37:52Speaker 1: in the last couple of years, almost at least four
- 37:58Speaker 1: times on Spirit, and I have not had one problem
- 38:04Speaker 1: with Spirit. I love the big, comfy front seat that
- 38:07Speaker 1: you pay extra for, and you know, it's kind of
- 38:10Speaker 1: like your own little first class for cheap.
- 38:14Speaker 2: It's worth it.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not a big fan because there's talk of
- 38:19Speaker 1: will the government help bail Spirit out? Normally I'm not
- 38:25Speaker 1: a big fan of those, but I hope they do
- 38:27Speaker 1: because I really don't want to see Spirit fold.
- 38:30Speaker 2: I'm a fan of the Home of the Bear Fair.
- 38:32Speaker 2: I'm okay with Spirit. They tell you up front, unlike
- 38:36Speaker 2: other airlines, this is what you get. If you want
- 38:39Speaker 2: anything other than this, you're going to have to pay
- 38:41Speaker 2: for it. At least they're honest about it, you know.
- 38:46Speaker 2: And like you said, Trey, you can get the big
- 38:48Speaker 2: front seat on Spirit airlines typically for cheaper than you
- 38:52Speaker 2: get the economy class on like Delta, American, whatever, Southwest Mark,
- 38:57Speaker 2: more comfort, more leg room, more, all of it for
- 39:00Speaker 2: roughly the same price, sometimes even cheaper.
- 39:05Speaker 1: I know a lot don't know. I flew into Vegas
- 39:06Speaker 1: because I could get the big comfy seat up front
- 39:12Speaker 1: for less than it would cost to fly Southwest. And
- 39:17Speaker 1: you're right they at least it's no BS, because I
- 39:20Speaker 1: also know if I wanted to pay super cheap, like
- 39:24Speaker 1: I mean, I think one way, it was like one
- 39:28Speaker 1: hundred and thirty bucks to Vega from Dallas to Vegas
- 39:32Speaker 1: on Spirit. But I'm gonna be stuck in the back
- 39:34Speaker 1: and cramp quarters in miserable For three hundred big comfy
- 39:39Speaker 1: chair up front, I'll take it.
- 39:42Speaker 2: I would much rather reign in spirit.

- 40:52Speaker 2: Here we go, last little bit of the Treehouse for
- 40:55Speaker 2: free this week. I apologize for a take so long
- 41:01Speaker 2: to share this story with you. A Florida woman tore
- 41:08Speaker 2: up a subway restaurant because she was upset about the
- 41:10Speaker 2: peppers on her sandwich. Called this story pepper smash after
- 41:19Speaker 2: But here's the thing with this story. Raging about peppers
- 41:23Speaker 2: on your subway sub will garner some attention, especially if
- 41:29Speaker 2: it originates in Florida like this story does. But to me,
- 41:33Speaker 2: it reaches a whole new level of absurdity when the
- 41:38Speaker 2: culprit of the pepper smashing is a young woman with
- 41:42Speaker 2: the name I'm Unique Clark spelled i apostrophe mu n
- 41:52Speaker 2: iQue I Unique Clark, thirty three. She picked up her
- 42:02Speaker 2: sandwich had a subway near Saint Petersburg near her house
- 42:05Speaker 2: in Saint Petersburg. I'm Unique used her subclub rewards points,
- 42:10Speaker 2: so the sandwich was actually free. Shortly after, she came
- 42:15Speaker 2: back into the restaurant because she was upset about pepper's
- 42:18Speaker 2: on her sub and demanded a new one. A subway
- 42:21Speaker 2: employee told I'm unique her sandwich was made how she
- 42:25Speaker 2: ordered it online and that new sandwich would not be forthcoming.
