- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode we're going to dive right
- 0:06Speaker 1: back in to the Tova Noel interview with the OIG inspectors. Question, okay,
- 0:14Speaker 1: do you know why Epstein was assigned to the shoe? Noel, no. Question,
- 0:19Speaker 1: did anyone ever tell you it was because he was
- 0:22Speaker 1: a risk for suicide or a safety concern? Noel, no. Question, no.
- 0:27Speaker 1: We're going to get into this a little later. But
- 0:30Speaker 1: do you know what the hot list is? Noelle, um,
- 0:34Speaker 1: are those? I think the hot list is like, how
- 0:37Speaker 1: should I say? Like inmates that are like, inmates that
- 0:40Speaker 1: are like, gets cut off. I'm going to show you
- 0:43Speaker 1: this and ask you if you ever received this training either. Noelle, uh-huh. Question.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Or if you've ever seen it. This will spell out
- 0:51Speaker 1: exactly what the hot list is. Noelle, okay. Redacted. So
- 0:56Speaker 1: this is the MCC, New York. Special Housing Unit. This
- 1:03Speaker 1: one is Special Housing Unit Management Suicide Prevention. Noelle. Uh-huh. Question.
- 1:09Speaker 1: So can you just have? There's two different tabs. The
- 1:13Speaker 1: first one is going to say. Redacted. Just read it
- 1:17Speaker 1: for the record. Shoe hot list identifies inmates with mental
- 1:20Speaker 1: health condition who may become dangerous, self-destructive, or suicidal when
- 1:26Speaker 1: placed into the shoe. Noelle. Uh-huh. Question. And did you
- 1:31Speaker 1: know that? Noelle, no. Question. So, do you know what
- 1:36Speaker 1: I'm talking about when I say hot list? There was
- 1:38Speaker 1: a list in the shoe. Noelle, no. I actually thought
- 1:42Speaker 1: the hot list was something else. Like that was on
- 1:45Speaker 1: the computer. No. I don't know that. Question. Okay. Then
- 1:50Speaker 1: it talks about when someone is on the hot list,
- 1:53Speaker 1: it's supposed to be a special notation on the hot list.
- 1:56Speaker 1: A special notation on the cell door. And there's also
- 2:01Speaker 1: a special notation on the shoe board. Noelle, there was
- 2:04Speaker 1: never none of that. Question, so did you ever? Can
- 2:08Speaker 1: you just take a look quickly? You don't have to
- 2:10Speaker 1: look through that. Just basically the two tabs as well
- 2:13Speaker 1: as the front. Noelle, uh-huh. Question, was that ever provided
- 2:17Speaker 1: to you? Did you ever see this? Noelle, no. Question, no. Okay. Foy,
- 2:23Speaker 1: do you want her to initial? Question, if you could, yeah.
- 2:28Speaker 1: You can do it on the top of the page. No, sorry,
- 2:30Speaker 1: the front page. Redacted, on the front page. Floyd, just
- 2:35Speaker 1: the first page. Noelle, oh. Question, and do you know
- 2:39Speaker 1: who would have been required to provide you that? Information, no.
- 2:43Speaker 1: And no one discussed that with you? Noelle, no. Question,
- 2:47Speaker 1: did anyone ever discuss the hot list with you? Noelle, no. Question,
- 2:51Speaker 1: had you ever heard of the term hot list? Noelle, no. Question,
- 2:56Speaker 1: you never even heard the term? Noel, I thought that
- 2:59Speaker 1: hot list was like inmates that were like, um, like
- 3:01Speaker 1: the inmates that were up on 10 South, like those
- 3:04Speaker 1: high inmates, like El Chapo and those types of inmates. Redacted, sure. Noel,
- 3:10Speaker 1: that's what I thought hot list was. Redacted, okay. And
- 3:13Speaker 1: because you brought up 10 South, what's 10 South? Noel,
- 3:18Speaker 1: the level above shoe? Redacted, and is that a specialized unit?
- 3:23Speaker 1: that are even more secure than the shoe? Noelle, yes. Question,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and can you just explain to me a little bit
- 3:29Speaker 1: about who goes there? What the cell makeup is? Are
- 3:32Speaker 1: there cameras in each individual cell? Noelle, I don't know. Question, oh,
- 3:37Speaker 1: you don't know? Noelle, uh-huh. Question, okay. Are inmates that
- 3:41Speaker 1: are in those cells only one inmate per cell? Noelle,
- 3:45Speaker 1: I think so. Question, and are they monitored 24-7? Noelle, yes. Question, okay.
- 3:52Speaker 1: but you don't know how they're monitored. Noelle, no. Question, okay,
- 3:57Speaker 1: but they're like a terrorist, high profile, drugs. Noelle, yeah. Question, okay,
- 4:02Speaker 1: and that's one floor above where the shoe is. Noelle, yes. Question,
- 4:08Speaker 1: is it kind of the general location of the shoe though? Noelle,
- 4:12Speaker 1: it's upstairs. Question, can you get to it through the shoe? Noelle, yes. Redacted,
- 4:18Speaker 1: and would it be considered? I know it's 10 South
- 4:22Speaker 1: and it's unique, but is it also part of the
- 4:24Speaker 1: General's shoe? Noel, I mean, when you come into the shoe,
- 4:29Speaker 1: you go up the stairs and it's right there. Redacted, okay.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Can you get to it by other means? Noel, no. Question,
- 4:37Speaker 1: so you have to go through the shoe. Noel, go
- 4:40Speaker 1: through the shoe. Question, okay. And how many correctional officers
- 4:44Speaker 1: are placed in 10 South? Noel, one. Redacted one. Noel, uh-huh. Question.
- 4:52Speaker 1: There is no way in or out other than the shoe? Noel? Uh-huh,
- 4:58Speaker 1: through the shoe. Redacted. Okay, so when you come in
- 5:01Speaker 1: and out, do the officers that are working in the shoe,
- 5:05Speaker 1: you know, where you are working, are you the ones
- 5:08Speaker 1: that have to allow them to get in and out
- 5:10Speaker 1: of the shoe? Noel, yes. Question. Okay, do you recall
- 5:15Speaker 1: who was working on 10 South on August 9th or 10th? Noelle, redacted. Question, redacted. Noelle, uh-huh. Question, okay.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Was that August 9th or 10th or both? Noelle, I
- 5:28Speaker 1: don't know about the 9th, but the 10th. Question, that's fine.
- 5:32Speaker 1: And some of this stuff, redacted probably at some point,
- 5:35Speaker 1: give you a list of the people so you can
- 5:38Speaker 1: refer to like the roster. Okay. Question, you know you
- 5:43Speaker 1: can recall that way if you remember that those people
- 5:46Speaker 1: were in Indeterminable. Noelle, okay. Question, but you did say
- 5:51Speaker 1: that Epstein was assigned to the SHU on August 9th
- 5:54Speaker 1: and August 10th, 2019. Noel, yes. Question, okay, and he
- 5:59Speaker 1: was assigned to the SHU on the days leading up
- 6:02Speaker 1: to the August 9th, 2019? Noel, yes. Question, okay. Do
- 6:06Speaker 1: you know approximately how long Epstein was assigned to the SHU? Noel, no. Question,
- 6:12Speaker 1: was he assigned to the SHU for the most part
- 6:15Speaker 1: of when you were doing your assignments in the SHU? Noel,
- 6:18Speaker 1: when I came back and I was working there? Question, correct. Noel, yes. Question, yes. Okay,
- 6:27Speaker 1: so does July and August sound about right that he
- 6:30Speaker 1: was in the shoe? Noel, uh-huh. Question, yes. What was
- 6:35Speaker 1: Epstein's routine while he was assigned to the shoe? We
- 6:38Speaker 1: talked about it briefly. He was with his attorneys and stuff.
- 6:42Speaker 1: So was that like daily routine? Can you just tell
- 6:45Speaker 1: me when he would come and go? and when he
- 6:48Speaker 1: would be in the shoe and not be in the shoe. Noelle, oh,
- 6:52Speaker 1: I come in at 2 and I come in at 4,
- 6:55Speaker 1: so when I come in, he's not there. He would
- 6:58Speaker 1: come back like around after 8 p.m. Question, okay, and
- 7:02Speaker 1: did you typically work after 8 p.m.? So you come
- 7:05Speaker 1: in at 2 or 4, when would you typically work until? Noelle,
- 7:09Speaker 1: 2 to 10 or 4 to midnight. Question, and then
- 7:13Speaker 1: you would typically do overtime shifts after that? Noel, no,
- 7:16Speaker 1: because I usually do it on the front end. Question, okay. Noel,
- 7:21Speaker 1: so I usually come in at 8 to 4 and
- 7:23Speaker 1: do 4 to 12. Redacted, and when you would come
- 7:26Speaker 1: in at 8 to 4, would he be gone already? Noel, yes. Question, okay,
- 7:31Speaker 1: but he would come back around, so he would be
- 7:34Speaker 1: gone before 8 a.m. and come back around 8 p.m.? Noel, uh-huh. Question,
- 7:39Speaker 1: would he eat while he was in the shoe? Noelle,
- 7:42Speaker 1: he gets common fare. That's all I know. I don't
- 7:44Speaker 1: know if he eats it, but he gets common fare. Redacted,
- 7:48Speaker 1: would that be something you supplied after 8 p.m.? Noelle,
- 7:52Speaker 1: when he comes back, yeah. Question, okay. What time is
- 7:55Speaker 1: typically feeding time in the evening? Noelle, um, after four. Question,
- 8:01Speaker 1: and so because he was away, would he have an
- 8:04Speaker 1: individual tray that was saved for him or provided when
- 8:07Speaker 1: he returned? Noelle, yes. Question, okay. And would you provide
- 8:11Speaker 1: that trade to him? Noelle, not necessarily me, just whomever. Question,
- 8:16Speaker 1: did you ever? Noelle, yes. Question, okay, did you provide
- 8:20Speaker 1: that to him on August 9th? Noelle, yes. Question, you
- 8:24Speaker 1: were the one who did? Noelle, uh-huh. Question, okay, did
- 8:27Speaker 1: you ever have any communication with Epstein during his stay
- 8:31Speaker 1: at the MCC? Noelle, no. Question, never any conversation at all? Noelle, no. Question, okay,
- 8:38Speaker 1: did you even... Verbally say hello, hello back, anything like that. Noel,
- 8:43Speaker 1: he was in the shower to make a phone call.
- 8:45Speaker 1: And he was calling because he wanted to come out
- 8:47Speaker 1: of the shower. And I told him that he had
- 8:49Speaker 1: to wait because there were other inmates out. And you
- 8:51Speaker 1: can't move them and them out at the same time.
- 8:54Speaker 1: That's the only conversation I ever had with him. Redacted.
- 8:59Speaker 1: And redacted, get into that. But what was the phone
- 9:01Speaker 1: call on August 9th, 2019? Noel, yes. Question, okay, but
- 9:06Speaker 1: when would you provide food? or any time he would
- 9:09Speaker 1: come back after 8 p.m., even when he was coming
- 9:12Speaker 1: in or out, you wouldn't even say hello? Noelle, no. Question, no. Okay.
- 9:18Speaker 1: For the one interaction you can think of with the
- 9:20Speaker 1: phone call, do you remember if that was a positive
- 9:23Speaker 1: or negative interaction? Do you remember it at all? Noelle,
- 9:27Speaker 1: it was regular. Question, regular. Noelle, uh-huh. Question, did he
- 9:31Speaker 1: seem upset? Noelle, no. Question, abnormal. Anything out of the ordinary? Noel, no. Question,
- 9:39Speaker 1: what were your instructions with regard to Epstein being assigned
- 9:43Speaker 1: to the SHU? Noel, there were no instructions. Question, so
- 9:48Speaker 1: no one said Epstein was a high priority there? Pay
- 9:51Speaker 1: closer attention to him? Noel, no. Question, all right. So
- 9:55Speaker 1: even when you had that interaction with one individual who
- 9:58Speaker 1: told you that he was a high profile person, that
- 10:01Speaker 1: he was in the news all the time, there was
- 10:04Speaker 1: never discussions about what we need to do to pay
- 10:06Speaker 1: close attention to him? Noelle, no. Question, and Lieutenant Redacted,
- 10:12Speaker 1: you said was the lieutenant in the shoe. He never
- 10:14Speaker 1: told you to pay special attention to Epstein? Noelle, no. Question, Okay,
- 10:19Speaker 1: was Epstein assigned any cellmates when he was assigned to
- 10:22Speaker 1: the shoe? Noelle, yes. Question, and do you know when
- 10:26Speaker 1: he was assigned to the shoe? Was he always assigned
- 10:28Speaker 1: a cellmate? Noelle, um, I just know that he had
- 10:32Speaker 1: two cellmates. Question, okay, two different ones? Noelle, yeah. Question,
- 10:38Speaker 1: all right, did anyone ever speak with you about Epstein
- 10:40Speaker 1: needing a cellmate when he was in the shoe? Noelle, no. Question, no.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Who was the officer in charge? Or the OIC in
- 10:48Speaker 1: the shoe? Noelle, me. Question. Um, are you talking about
- 10:52Speaker 1: at 12 a.m.? Noelle, yes. Indiscernible. Redacted. In general, was
- 10:58Speaker 1: there like one officer in charge that was like considered
- 11:01Speaker 1: the OIC in the shoe? Noelle, that's what I'm telling you.
- 11:05Speaker 1: On paper, it says me. But I don't know how
- 11:07Speaker 1: to run the shoe, so I rely on the senior officer. Well,
- 11:10Speaker 1: on the roster. And it says that I was the OIC. Question.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I think I'm not asking the question correctly. I'm not
- 11:19Speaker 1: talking about, like, from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m. on
- 11:22Speaker 1: August 10th. I mean, in general. Like, in July and August,
- 11:25Speaker 1: when you were in the SHU, was there one person
- 11:27Speaker 1: that was considered the officer in charge? Like, how's there
- 11:31Speaker 1: one lieutenant of the SHU which was redacted? Was there
- 11:35Speaker 1: also an officer in charge of the SHU? Noelle, no. Question.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Do you know who? Wasn't it? Redacted. Then redacted again.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Do you know who Redacted is? Noelle, no. Question, would
- 11:49Speaker 1: he be considered the officer in charge? Noelle, see, I
- 11:52Speaker 1: don't know. Because on this roster, it can be a
- 11:54Speaker 1: different person. Question, did Redacted have like a computer or
- 12:00Speaker 1: a desk area that he always sat in when he
- 12:02Speaker 1: was there? Noelle, no. Question, specifically? Noelle, it's the one
- 12:07Speaker 1: that we all sit at. Question, but he didn't have
- 12:11Speaker 1: one specific location that he would sit at? Noelle, no. Question, no.
- 12:15Speaker 1: He would sit wherever? Noel, yes. All right, folks, we're
- 12:20Speaker 1: going to wrap up right here. And in the next episode,
- 12:22Speaker 1: dealing with the topic we're going to pick up where
- 12:24Speaker 1: we left off. All the information that goes with this
- 12:27Speaker 1: episode can be found in the description box. What's up, everyone?
- 12:31Speaker 1: And welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In
- 12:35Speaker 1: this episode, we're diving right back in to the Tova
- 12:38Speaker 1: Noel interview with the OIG inspectors. Question, can you give
- 12:43Speaker 1: me just like a layout? How many desks and computers
- 12:46Speaker 1: were there in the shoe where the officer sat? Noelle,
- 12:49Speaker 1: it was two desks. One this way, and one this way. Redacted,
- 12:53Speaker 1: so kind of like an L-type of formation? Noelle, yes.
- 12:57Speaker 1: And computers, about three. Question. About three computers? Noelle, uh-huh. Question.
- 13:03Speaker 1: And had you sat at all three of those computers
- 13:05Speaker 1: at least one time during your shifts? Noelle, yes. Question. Okay,
- 13:10Speaker 1: so it's just, it rotates. You can sit at each one? Noelle, yes.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I mean, you considered anyone. Question. And do you remember
- 13:19Speaker 1: ever there being a sign posted on any of the
- 13:21Speaker 1: computers saying that Epstein was required to have a cellmate? Noelle, no. Question.
- 13:26Speaker 1: All right. And then redacted. Am I pronouncing that right? Mr. Redacted. Yeah. Redacted.
- 13:32Speaker 1: How do you spell your last name? Do you remember? Redacted.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Thank you, Agent Redacted. So he didn't have a specialized
- 13:39Speaker 1: computer where he would have posted a sign on a computer? Noelle, no. Question, no.
- 13:45Speaker 1: What about, do you recall ever seeing a sign posted
- 13:48Speaker 1: on Epstein's door? Noel, no. Question, saying that he was
- 13:52Speaker 1: required to have a cellmate? Noel, no. Question, no. Okay,
- 13:57Speaker 1: who was inmate Nicholas Tartaglione? Noel, his first cellmate that
- 14:02Speaker 1: he had? Question, Epstein's first cellmate? Noel, uh-huh. Question, was
- 14:07Speaker 1: that his cellmate in July of 2019? Noel, I'm not
- 14:11Speaker 1: sure about the month, but that was his first cellmate. Redacted, okay.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Do you recall if Tartaglione was already in the shoe
- 14:17Speaker 1: or was he brought in specifically to be Epstein's cellmate? Noelle,
- 14:22Speaker 1: I don't know that. Question, you don't know that? Noelle, no. Question, okay.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Are you aware of any issue that took place between
- 14:29Speaker 1: Epstein and Tartaglione when they were cellmates? Noelle, no. Question,
- 14:34Speaker 1: were you aware that on or around July 23rd of
- 14:38Speaker 1: 2019 that Epstein allegedly attempted to commit suicide? Noelle, no.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I wasn't at work that day, but I was told. Question, okay.
- 14:47Speaker 1: And were you told anything else about the incident? Noel, no. Question,
- 14:51Speaker 1: are you aware if Tartaglione was his inmate at the time? Noel, yes. Question,
- 14:57Speaker 1: and you said you didn't have any involvement in that
- 14:59Speaker 1: matter though. Noel, I wasn't at work. Question, do you
- 15:03Speaker 1: know if Tartaglione was removed as Epstein's cellmate at some point? Noel,
- 15:08Speaker 1: after that he had another cellmate, Reyes. Question, and do
- 15:11Speaker 1: you know why they changed? Noelle, but I don't know why. Question, okay.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Do you know who would have made that decision to
- 15:18Speaker 1: change cellmates? Noelle, no. Question, had you ever heard that
- 15:23Speaker 1: Tartaglione attempted to harm Jeffrey Epstein? Noelle, no. Question, you
- 15:27Speaker 1: didn't even hear that rumor? Noelle, no. Question, okay. Do
- 15:31Speaker 1: you know what was used in the incident when Epstein
- 15:34Speaker 1: attempted to allegedly attempt to take his own life? Noelle, no. Question,
- 15:40Speaker 1: Do you know if it was like linens or a
- 15:42Speaker 1: shirt or any kind of? Noelle, I don't know. Question, no. Noelle, no. Question,
- 15:48Speaker 1: no one discussed that with you? Noelle, no. Question, and
- 15:52Speaker 1: you didn't ask anybody about it? Noelle, no. Question, do
- 15:55Speaker 1: you know if Epstein was placed on suicide watch or
- 15:57Speaker 1: psychological observation? Noelle, I think he was placed after that,
- 16:02Speaker 1: but I don't know which one. Question, okay. Is it
- 16:05Speaker 1: usually that someone will go on suicide watch for about
- 16:08Speaker 1: 24 hours? Then after that, they would go on what's
- 16:11Speaker 1: called psychological observation. Noel, I'm not sure. Question, you're not sure. Noel, uh-huh. Question,
- 16:18Speaker 1: is that done in the shoe or elsewhere? Noel, it's
- 16:21Speaker 1: done downstairs. Question, and when you say downstairs, do you
- 16:25Speaker 1: know where? Noel, where the suicide watch is or unit two? Question, okay,
- 16:30Speaker 1: so second floor. Noel, uh-huh. Question, and do you know
- 16:34Speaker 1: who makes the determination to be able to place someone
- 16:36Speaker 1: on suicide watch? Or psychological observation? Noelle, no. Question, no. Okay.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Does it sound right that he was placed on suicide
- 16:45Speaker 1: watch on or around July 23rd, 2019? And return to
- 16:50Speaker 1: the shoe, on or around July 30th, 2019? Noelle, yes. Question,
- 16:55Speaker 1: that sounds about right. Noelle, uh-huh. Question, and at that time,
- 17:00Speaker 1: was Epstein assigned another cellmate? Noelle, yes. Question, who? Which cellmate? Noelle, Reyes. Question, Reyes? Noel, uh-huh. Question,
- 17:12Speaker 1: on or around July 30th, and who was inmate Reyes,
- 17:15Speaker 1: Efren Reyes? Noel, his cellmate? Redacted, do you know anything
- 17:18Speaker 1: about him? Noel, no. Question, okay, but do you know
- 17:22Speaker 1: he was his cellmate from that point until about August 9th, 2019? Noel, yes. Question, okay,
- 17:29Speaker 1: and do you know if inmate Reyes was already in
- 17:31Speaker 1: the shoe, or was he brought in specifically to be
- 17:34Speaker 1: Epstein's cellmate? Noel, I don't know. Question, you don't know
- 17:39Speaker 1: if he was already in there? Noel, no. Question, now
- 17:43Speaker 1: do you ever, do you have any involvement with the
- 17:46Speaker 1: inmates when you're in there? Would you like converse with
- 17:48Speaker 1: them or kind of redacted? Or Noel, answer, no. Question, no.
- 17:54Speaker 1: So you don't. Did you ever know why people were
- 17:57Speaker 1: specifically in the shoe? Noel, no. Question, no. Do you
- 18:01Speaker 1: know why inmate Reyes was removed from MCC on August 9th, 2019? Noel, no. Question,
- 18:08Speaker 1: so even at this point, do you know why he
- 18:10Speaker 1: was removed? Noel, no. I didn't even know he was removed. Redacted,
- 18:15Speaker 1: so I'm saying even today, do you know that? Noel, oh, no. Question,
- 18:21Speaker 1: you don't know why he was removed? Noel, no. I'm
- 18:24Speaker 1: saying at that point in time, I didn't know why
- 18:26Speaker 1: he was removed. Question, yeah, so I'm saying as of today, Noel,
- 18:31Speaker 1: but for now, I don't know the reason why he
- 18:32Speaker 1: was moved. Question, okay, but do you know? That he
- 18:37Speaker 1: was removed. Noelle, yes. Question. And did you know that
- 18:41Speaker 1: he was removed on August 9th, 2019? Noelle, no. Question.
- 18:46Speaker 1: So even on August 9th, you didn't know that he
- 18:48Speaker 1: was removed? Noelle, no. Question. You knew that Epstein had
- 18:52Speaker 1: a cellmate. You just didn't know that he didn't have
- 18:54Speaker 1: a cellmate on that day. Noelle, he had a cellmate.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I didn't know that the cellmate was removed and wasn't
- 19:00Speaker 1: coming back. Question. Okay, so you never learned on August
- 19:03Speaker 1: 9th or August 10th, for that matter. prior to 6.30,
- 19:07Speaker 1: that there was no other inmate within Epstein's cell? Noelle, no. Question, okay.
- 19:12Speaker 1: And do you know if anybody was aware that Reyes
- 19:14Speaker 1: was departing the MCC or SHU prior to August 9th, 2019? Noelle,
- 19:20Speaker 1: I don't know. Question, you don't even know what, you know,
- 19:24Speaker 1: at this point, if anyone was aware? Noelle, no. Question,
- 19:28Speaker 1: do you know if it was anticipated or not an
- 19:31Speaker 1: anticipated move? Noelle, I don't know. Question, So on August 9th,
- 19:37Speaker 1: during your time from 4pm, even to just 12am, that
- 19:41Speaker 1: was not discussed with you at all or within the shoe?
- 19:44Speaker 1: That Epstein's roommate Reyes was removed? Noel, never. Question, never? Noel, never. Question,
- 19:51Speaker 1: and are you pretty confident about that? Noel, yes. Question, okay.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Are you aware if Epstein should have been reassigned to
- 19:58Speaker 1: cellmate after inmate Reyes was removed on August 9th, 2019? Noel, no. Question,
- 20:05Speaker 1: so you're not aware? Noel, no. Question, if he should
- 20:09Speaker 1: have been? Noelle, no. Question, so your understanding was he
- 20:12Speaker 1: had a cellmate. You just didn't know if one of
- 20:15Speaker 1: them was removed that he should be reassigned one? Noelle, exactly. Uh-huh. Question, okay.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Do you know who was responsible for assigning Epstein a
- 20:24Speaker 1: new cellmate? Noelle, I don't know. Question, could shoe staff
- 20:29Speaker 1: have assigned Epstein a new cellmate? Would you have had
- 20:31Speaker 1: the authority working in the shoe if you knew someone
- 20:34Speaker 1: was supposed to have a cellmate? Do you have the authority?
- 20:38Speaker 1: To place another inmate in with that person? Noelle? See,
- 20:41Speaker 1: I don't know. Because I'm that new. Question? Okay. Noelle,
- 20:45Speaker 1: so like I said, I rely on the senior person
- 20:48Speaker 1: a lot. So I don't know. Like, that would be
- 20:50Speaker 1: a question I would ask them. So I don't know. Question?
- 20:54Speaker 1: When you were, during your time, in the SHU, which
- 20:57Speaker 1: you said I guess was from, you know, late June
- 21:00Speaker 1: through August 9th or 10th, did you ever see that
- 21:03Speaker 1: happen before? SHU staff assigned inmates with other inmates? Noelle? Noelle?
- 21:07Speaker 1: When an inmate comes, they place them with another inmate. Redacted. Question.
- 21:12Speaker 1: And would they do that based upon their own responsibilities
- 21:15Speaker 1: and duties? Or would someone tell them to do that? Noelle. See,
- 21:18Speaker 1: I don't know. Question. You don't even know? Noelle. Uh-huh. Question.
- 21:23Speaker 1: So you saw people be assigned with other ones, but
- 21:26Speaker 1: you don't know how? That was determined? Noelle. Yeah. Question.
- 21:31Speaker 1: So you don't even know if you could have assigned
- 21:33Speaker 1: Epstein a new cellmate? Noelle. I don't know. Question. Do
- 21:38Speaker 1: you know if SHU staff should have assigned? You know, like,
- 21:42Speaker 1: or I guess you just answered that. So you said
- 21:45Speaker 1: you know, and again, on August 9th, no one notified
- 21:48Speaker 1: you that Reyes was gone from the SHU? Noelle, no. Question,
- 21:52Speaker 1: and you were working in the SHU? Noelle, nope. Question,
- 21:56Speaker 1: do they typically tell you when an inmate in the
- 21:58Speaker 1: SHU is or has left and is not coming back? Noelle,
- 22:02Speaker 1: nobody said anything to me. I don't know. Question, because
- 22:06Speaker 1: you don't have to be able to keep your accounts
- 22:08Speaker 1: correct and be able to know how many people are
- 22:10Speaker 1: in the shoe. So if someone's removed, don't they have
- 22:13Speaker 1: to tell you? This person's not coming back, so your
- 22:16Speaker 1: account's going to be lower. Noelle, but it wasn't told
- 22:20Speaker 1: to me, so I don't know. Question, okay. Do you
- 22:24Speaker 1: know who the MCC staff psychologists were in August of 2019? Noelle, no. Question,
- 22:31Speaker 1: do you have any dealings with them at all? Noelle, no. Question,
- 22:34Speaker 1: does the name Chief Redacted ring a bell? Noelle, no. Question,
- 22:38Speaker 1: how about Staff Psychologist Redacted? Noelle, I know her. Question, okay,
- 22:43Speaker 1: who is she? Noelle, one of the psychologists. Question, okay,
- 22:48Speaker 1: and did you have dealings with her? Noelle, I had
- 22:51Speaker 1: dealings with her after. Question, after August 10th? Noelle, like
- 22:57Speaker 1: on August 10th, she came to the unit. Question, okay,
- 23:00Speaker 1: prior to August 10th, did you ever have any dealings
- 23:02Speaker 1: with her? Noelle, no, not really. Question, what about redacted? Noelle, yeah,
- 23:08Speaker 1: I know her. Question, and who is she? Noelle, a psychologist. Question,
- 23:14Speaker 1: did you have any dealings with her? Noelle, no. Question,
- 23:18Speaker 1: so only with redacted? Noelle, yes, but she came after
- 23:22Speaker 1: the incident. Question, but what was your dealing with her
- 23:26Speaker 1: after the incident? Noelle, she just asked if I was
- 23:28Speaker 1: all right. Question, okay. Did she ask you anything about
- 23:31Speaker 1: Epstein or his cellmate or anything like that? Noelle, no. Question, no.
- 23:36Speaker 1: So it was specific to you? Noelle, yes. Question, okay.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Are you aware that Epstein was meeting with staff psychologists
- 23:44Speaker 1: during his stay at the MCC? Noelle, no. Question, no.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Would he have met with them? I guess during suicide
- 23:52Speaker 1: watch and psychological, obviously. Noelle, yes. Question, okay. So that.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Did you know that he met with them then? Noelle, no.
- 24:00Speaker 1: I didn't know if he did, but I'm going to
- 24:02Speaker 1: assume he did. Question, okay, but do you know that
- 24:05Speaker 1: he was placed on suicide watch? Noelle, yes. Question, and
- 24:09Speaker 1: they never, no one from psychology ever provided you instruction
- 24:14Speaker 1: with regard to when he returned, how he was to
- 24:16Speaker 1: be treated? Noelle, no. Question, or that he was needed
- 24:20Speaker 1: to have a cellmate at all times? Noelle, no. Question,
- 24:24Speaker 1: or that you needed to watch him? Noelle, no. Question,
- 24:28Speaker 1: do you know who placed him on suicide watch? Noelle, no. Question?
- 24:33Speaker 1: So what is your understanding of Suicide Watch? When someone's
- 24:36Speaker 1: on Suicide Watch and they come back, what's your understanding
- 24:40Speaker 1: of how you're supposed to treat those people? Now, my
- 24:42Speaker 1: understanding is that you would have received this training, you know. Now,
- 24:47Speaker 1: I know you said you didn't do the shoe training,
- 24:49Speaker 1: but the other training that you attended, the IF, the
- 24:52Speaker 1: MCC Annual, and the Correctional Officer Training at FLETC, did
- 24:57Speaker 1: they discuss suicide? Noelle, I mean if someone is like,
- 25:01Speaker 1: explains to you that they're feeling a certain kind of way,
- 25:04Speaker 1: or they want to harm themselves, then you report it
- 25:06Speaker 1: to them. They will place them on suicide watch. But
- 25:09Speaker 1: as far as when they return, there's nothing special that
- 25:12Speaker 1: we're told to do when someone returns from suicide watch. Question. So,
- 25:18Speaker 1: they don't tell you like this person's on suicide watch,
- 25:21Speaker 1: he's returning, he needs, you know, a high likelihood of
- 25:24Speaker 1: attempting to harm himself. Noelle, no. Question. Question. We should
- 25:28Speaker 1: place him with another cellmate? Noelle, no. Question, that we
- 25:32Speaker 1: should watch him? Noelle, no. Question, or make sure that
- 25:35Speaker 1: he hasn't harmed himself? Noelle, no. Question, or pay special
- 25:39Speaker 1: close attention to that individual? Noelle, no. Question, you said
- 25:44Speaker 1: suicide watch though? That is on the second floor? Noelle, yes. Question, okay,
- 25:50Speaker 1: so you're not aware that the requirement that if someone
- 25:53Speaker 1: is returned to the shoe, that they're required to have
- 25:56Speaker 1: a cellmate? If they were on Suicide Watch? Noelle, no. Question,
- 26:01Speaker 1: do you know what the difference between Suicide Watch and
- 26:03Speaker 1: Psychological Observation is? Noelle, no. Question, are they both done
- 26:09Speaker 1: on the second floor? Noelle, yes. Question, okay, but you
- 26:12Speaker 1: don't even know what that is? Noelle, no. Question, did
- 26:15Speaker 1: you know that Epstein was also on Psychological Observation? Noelle, no. Question, no.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Just Suicide Watch? Noelle, uh-huh. Question, And to you, it's
- 26:26Speaker 1: one and the same thing. Noelle, yes. Question? Okay. All right, folks,
- 26:33Speaker 1: we're going to wrap up right here. And in the
- 26:35Speaker 1: next episode dealing with the topic, we're going to pick
- 26:37Speaker 1: up where we left off. All the information that goes
- 26:40Speaker 1: with this episode can be found in the description box.
- 26:44Speaker 1: What's up, everyone? And welcome to another episode of the
- 26:47Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to dive right
- 26:50Speaker 1: back in to the Tova Noel interview with the OIG investigators. Question,
- 26:56Speaker 1: and I did ask you about Suicide Watch, but do
- 26:59Speaker 1: you know who placed Epstein on psychological observation? Noel, no. Question, no.
- 27:06Speaker 1: And you don't know, are inmates that come from psychological
- 27:09Speaker 1: observation required to have a cellmate? Noel, no. Question, you
- 27:13Speaker 1: don't know. Noel, I don't know. Question, so were you
- 27:16Speaker 1: aware of any inmates that are in the SHU That
- 27:19Speaker 1: were on suicide watch. Came from suicide watch. And psychological observation. Noelle, no. Question,
- 27:25Speaker 1: and again, that hot list. Did you say that you
- 27:28Speaker 1: remember there being one? Noelle, no. Question, in the shoe? Noelle, no. Question,
- 27:34Speaker 1: so you don't even remember there being a hot list
- 27:36Speaker 1: in the shoe? Noelle, no. Question, would you like to
- 27:39Speaker 1: look around at the boards and look at the walls
- 27:42Speaker 1: and see different things? Noelle, there's no list. Question, no.
- 27:47Speaker 1: There's no like... Where the post orders are? Where they're
- 27:50Speaker 1: kept as? She cuts them off. Noelle, it's on the desk. Question.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Was there also on the desk something called the hot list? Noelle, no. Question.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Was there a list on the desk that had like
- 28:03Speaker 1: inmates names and anything next to them? Like a description? Noelle,
- 28:07Speaker 1: there's a roster. Question. A roster like of all the
- 28:11Speaker 1: inmates in the shoe total? Noelle, yes. Question. Well, what
- 28:15Speaker 1: about like, and I only say this because I know
- 28:17Speaker 1: that there was one So you don't recall saying like
- 28:21Speaker 1: or seeing like one list where there are special people
- 28:24Speaker 1: assigned to the list called the hot list? Noelle, no. Question, no.
- 28:29Speaker 1: And you did work there all of June, July and
- 28:31Speaker 1: August or not all end of June, July and then
- 28:34Speaker 1: it's August. Noelle, yes. Question, did any staff psychologists visit
- 28:39Speaker 1: the shoe? Noelle, yes. Question, did they ever visit Epstein
- 28:43Speaker 1: in the shoe? Noelle, no. Question, no. What time typically
- 28:48Speaker 1: would they come to the SHU when they would visit? Noelle, um,
- 28:51Speaker 1: like after, when I worked the 8 to 4, I
- 28:54Speaker 1: don't know, sometime in the day, like maybe around 12. Redacted,
- 28:58Speaker 1: and would they not have come to the SHU to
- 29:00Speaker 1: see Epstein because he wasn't there at 12? Noelle, because
- 29:03Speaker 1: he wasn't there. Question, do you know if they ever
- 29:06Speaker 1: visited with him when he was with his attorneys? Noelle,
- 29:10Speaker 1: I don't know. Question, so did anyone? So psychologists, peers, supervisor,
- 29:15Speaker 1: or anyone else ever tell you that Epstein was required
- 29:18Speaker 1: to have a cellmate? Noel, nobody. Question, nobody. Did you
- 29:23Speaker 1: ever receive any emails? So any type of form of communication?
- 29:27Speaker 1: So not just verbal, emails and writing, text messages, anything? Noel, no. Question,
- 29:33Speaker 1: do you have that email? This isn't an email that
- 29:36Speaker 1: was sent to you. I just want to see if you,
- 29:38Speaker 1: if someone ever forwarded this to you. Did anyone ever
- 29:41Speaker 1: forward you this? First of all, this is an email
- 29:44Speaker 1: from Redacted. It says suicide watch psychological observation update. It's
- 29:49Speaker 1: what was sent on July 20th, 2019. It says inmate
- 29:53Speaker 1: Epstein's being taken off psychological observation and needs to be
- 29:57Speaker 1: housed with an appropriate cellmate. Did anyone ever forward this
- 30:00Speaker 1: information to you? Being that you worked in the shoe
- 30:04Speaker 1: where he was assigned? Noelle, no. Question. So no one
- 30:08Speaker 1: ever discussed with you in the shoe? Like none of
- 30:11Speaker 1: the other employees in the shoe that would have received this? Noelle, no. Question.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Do you know why other employees would have received this
- 30:19Speaker 1: and you wouldn't have? Noelle, I'm not going to say
- 30:21Speaker 1: that they received it and I didn't. Question. Well, if
- 30:26Speaker 1: you look at the back, it's all the people that
- 30:28Speaker 1: it was sent to. So if you go to the
- 30:30Speaker 1: last page, do you recognize any of the people on
- 30:32Speaker 1: there that you worked in the shoe with? The names.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Look at that. Look at the list. That middle page
- 30:38Speaker 1: and towards the bottom. The following page, I think. Middle
- 30:41Speaker 1: towards the bottom. Noelle, that's Lieutenant. Question, do you recognize
- 30:45Speaker 1: Lieutenant Redacted on there? Noelle, yes. But this is not sent.
- 30:49Speaker 1: This is not sent to the workers. Question, none of
- 30:52Speaker 1: those people were assigned to the shoe? Towards the bottom
- 30:55Speaker 1: of that? Noelle, no. Question, no. Okay. So just the
- 30:59Speaker 1: only person that you see on that is the lieutenant? Noelle,
- 31:03Speaker 1: lieutenant redacted. Question. And he never discussed the matter with you? Noelle, no. Question.
- 31:09Speaker 1: If you don't mind, could you initial and date that? Noelle,
- 31:12Speaker 1: I initialed. End date. Question. During your time in the SHU,
- 31:18Speaker 1: did any new inmates come during your shift? Noelle, on
- 31:21Speaker 1: that specific day or in general? Question. Question. Yeah, from
- 31:26Speaker 1: June to August, when you worked in the SHU. Did
- 31:28Speaker 1: the SHU receive any new inmates? Noelle, I didn't. The
- 31:32Speaker 1: senior officer did. Question, senior officer, did you see them
- 31:36Speaker 1: assign inmates, assign a cell to them? Noelle, like put
- 31:40Speaker 1: them in a cell? Yes. Question, were they ever put
- 31:44Speaker 1: by themselves? Noelle, I don't remember. Question, you don't recall
- 31:48Speaker 1: any inmates being placed by themselves in the SHU? Noelle,
- 31:51Speaker 1: I think there was one inmate by himself. Question, any
- 31:55Speaker 1: reason why he was placed by himself? Noelle, I don't know. Question,
- 31:59Speaker 1: so of all the inmates, there was only one that
- 32:01Speaker 1: was by themselves? Noelle, I think it was an inmate
- 32:05Speaker 1: by himself on G-tier. Question, now you mentioned that day,
- 32:09Speaker 1: were you on August 9th, you were notified that Efren
- 32:13Speaker 1: Reyes was moved. But during your time in the SHU,
- 32:16Speaker 1: were you ever notified if an inmate was ever removed
- 32:19Speaker 1: from the SHU for whatever reason? Were you ever notified
- 32:21Speaker 1: about it? Noelle, no. Question, How would you find out
- 32:25Speaker 1: if the inmate was supposed to be in the shoe
- 32:27Speaker 1: or not? Noelle, how would I find out if the
- 32:30Speaker 1: inmate is supposed? She gets cut off, let's say in
- 32:33Speaker 1: the morning. You came on shift at 2 p.m. or
- 32:36Speaker 1: possibly 4. After that, there's counts and rounds. When you
- 32:40Speaker 1: do the counts, right? I just want to know in
- 32:42Speaker 1: terms of how you would know if an inmate was
- 32:44Speaker 1: removed or not. Noelle, when I count, then he's gone. Redacted,
- 32:50Speaker 1: you wouldn't be notified any other way? Noelle, no. Question,
- 32:53Speaker 1: that's all I have. Question by the next investigator. And
- 32:58Speaker 1: I know we discussed the cellmates, but were you ever
- 33:00Speaker 1: told you needed to keep a close watch on Epstein
- 33:03Speaker 1: when he was there? Who was the MCC warden in
- 33:06Speaker 1: July and August of 2019? Noelle, redacted. Question, is that redacted? Noelle, yes. Question, okay.
- 33:14Speaker 1: What communications did you have with the warden with regard
- 33:18Speaker 1: to Epstein being housed within the MCC or the MCC shoe? Noelle, none. Question, none.
- 33:24Speaker 1: And he never provided you special instruction with regard to Epstein? Noelle, no. Question.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Did the warden ever tell you that Epstein was required
- 33:33Speaker 1: to have a cellmate? Noelle, no. Question. Did the warden
- 33:37Speaker 1: ever visit the shoe during Epstein's stay at MCC? Noelle,
- 33:41Speaker 1: I don't know. Not on my watch. Question. Not during
- 33:44Speaker 1: your shift? Noelle, no. Question. Okay. Do you know if
- 33:47Speaker 1: the warden ever met with Epstein during the stay? Noelle,
- 33:51Speaker 1: I don't know. Question. Who was the MCC associate wardens
- 33:55Speaker 1: in August of 2019? Noelle. Associate warden was redacted. Question.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Anyone else that you're aware of? Noelle. No. Question. Okay.
- 34:05Speaker 1: And what communication did you have with redacted or the
- 34:08Speaker 1: other AW with regard to Epstein being housed within the
- 34:12Speaker 1: MCC or the MCC shoe? Noelle. None. Question. None. Would
- 34:18Speaker 1: you have communication with any of the AWs? Noelle. No. Question. No.
- 34:22Speaker 1: So you did not even ever speak with any of them? Noelle,
- 34:26Speaker 1: not in the shoe. Question, not in the shoe. When
- 34:29Speaker 1: would you speak with them? Noelle, on the regular housing unit,
- 34:32Speaker 1: when they made rounds. Question, so in July and August,
- 34:35Speaker 1: did you ever speak with them that you recall? Noelle, no. Question,
- 34:39Speaker 1: so not since you were assigned to the shoe at
- 34:42Speaker 1: the end of June. Noelle, uh-huh. Question, okay, what about
- 34:46Speaker 1: the warden? Is that the same thing? Noelle, uh-huh. Question,
- 34:50Speaker 1: no communication. Foy, the lawyer, don't know. Noel, no. Foy,
- 34:56Speaker 1: don't answer if you don't know. Noel, okay. Question, do
- 35:01Speaker 1: you know if any of the AWs ever visited the
- 35:04Speaker 1: shoe during Epstein's stay? Noel, I don't know. Question, you
- 35:08Speaker 1: don't know. Not during your watch though? Noel, no. Question, okay.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Do you know if any of the AWs ever met
- 35:15Speaker 1: with Epstein during his stay at the MCC? Noel, I
- 35:18Speaker 1: don't know. Question, you don't know. but not when you
- 35:21Speaker 1: were in the shoe. Noelle, not on my shift. Question,
- 35:26Speaker 1: who was the MCC captain in July and August of 2019? Noelle,
- 35:31Speaker 1: captain redacted. Question, okay, is that redacted? Noelle, yes. Question, okay.
- 35:36Speaker 1: And what communication did you have with captain redacted with
- 35:39Speaker 1: regard to Epstein being housed within the MCC or the
- 35:43Speaker 1: MCC shoe? Noelle, none. Question, none. And did he ever
- 35:48Speaker 1: Provide you with special instruction with regard to Epstein? Noelle, no. Question.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Captain redacted. Noelle, no. Question. Did the captain ever tell
- 35:57Speaker 1: you that Epstein was required to have a cellmate? Noelle, no.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Question in the shoe? No. Did the captain ever visit
- 36:04Speaker 1: the shoe during Epstein's stay at the MCC? Noelle, not
- 36:08Speaker 1: on my shift. Question. Not during your time? Okay. And
- 36:12Speaker 1: do you know if the captain ever met with Epstein
- 36:14Speaker 1: during his stay at the MCC? Noelle, I don't know. Question.
- 36:19Speaker 1: So who I'm going to give you now just because, okay?
- 36:22Speaker 1: Where are the rosters? I'm going to ask her about
- 36:24Speaker 1: some of the supervisors that were on duty. So are
- 36:27Speaker 1: you familiar with these rosters? Like just by looking at it,
- 36:31Speaker 1: are you able to decipher who was on duty and
- 36:34Speaker 1: who wasn't? Or who was on duty on August 9th
- 36:37Speaker 1: and 10th? I'm giving you the MCC New York daily
- 36:40Speaker 1: assignment roster. So there's August 9th and August 10th. So
- 36:45Speaker 1: who were the MCC supervisors on duty with responsibility for
- 36:49Speaker 1: overseeing the SHU on August 9th and 10th? Do you
- 36:52Speaker 1: recall if Lieutenant Redacted was there on August 9th or 10th? Noelle,
- 36:56Speaker 1: I don't recall. Question, you don't recall. Nicole, or Noelle, no. Question, okay,
- 37:03Speaker 1: so he wasn't there. So if he's not there, who
- 37:06Speaker 1: was oversight over the SHU? Noelle, I don't know. Question, no.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Would it be the operations lieutenant or the activities lieutenant? Noelle,
- 37:14Speaker 1: I don't know. Question, you don't know who it is
- 37:18Speaker 1: that would have responsibility if the lieutenant of the SHU
- 37:21Speaker 1: wasn't there? Noelle, no. Question, would anybody, if Lieutenant Redacted
- 37:25Speaker 1: wasn't there, check in with you? Noelle, I mean the
- 37:29Speaker 1: other lieutenant would make a round. Redacted, question, what other
- 37:34Speaker 1: lieutenant would that be? Noelle, whoever was on. You mean
- 37:37Speaker 1: that day? Question, yeah. On August 9th and 10th, I'm
- 37:41Speaker 1: wondering who had the responsibility of the shoe. If Lieutenant
- 37:44Speaker 1: Redacted wasn't there, he was the shoe lieutenant. Noelle, in
- 37:47Speaker 1: the daytime, it was a regular officer acting. Question, okay. Noelle,
- 37:54Speaker 1: from the time I was on at 4 to 12.
- 37:56Speaker 1: And then from midnight, it was Lieutenant Redacted. Question, okay,
- 38:00Speaker 1: so with that other person that you're referring to, do
- 38:02Speaker 1: you know who that was? Noelle, the acting? That was acting? Question, acting. Noelle, Redacted. Question,
- 38:10Speaker 1: SOS redacted? Noelle, say that again. Question, was it SOS redacted?
- 38:15Speaker 1: Senior officer specialist? Noelle, yes. Question, I might be saying
- 38:20Speaker 1: the name wrong. Noelle, I'm not sure of her first name,
- 38:22Speaker 1: but gets cut off. That's fine. Okay, so those are
- 38:25Speaker 1: the two you remember. Noelle was acting in that day. Yes. Question, okay.
- 38:30Speaker 1: What about by looking at that? Do you see where
- 38:33Speaker 1: it says redacted? Noelle, yes. Question, would that person have
- 38:37Speaker 1: oversight over the shoe? Does it say that the person
- 38:40Speaker 1: was the operations lieutenant? Noelle, that's what it says here,
- 38:44Speaker 1: but I didn't see Lieutenant Redacted. Question, and do you know,
- 38:49Speaker 1: as being the operations lieutenant, would they be responsible for
- 38:52Speaker 1: overseeing the shoe? Noelle, I don't know. Question, you don't
- 38:56Speaker 1: even know that? Okay, so you don't know if after,
- 38:59Speaker 1: is it true that after Redacted replaced him as the
- 39:02Speaker 1: operations lieutenant? Noelle, according to this, yes. Question, okay. And
- 39:08Speaker 1: you're not aware that the person would have oversight over
- 39:10Speaker 1: the shoe. Noelle, I don't know. Question, you don't know.
- 39:17Speaker 1: No one ever talked to you about redacted, isn't there?
- 39:20Speaker 1: Who should you go and talk to if there's any
- 39:22Speaker 1: problem or if they want to check in with you? Noelle, no.
- 39:25Speaker 1: I would call downstairs to the lieutenant's office. Question, and
- 39:29Speaker 1: you don't know. you would just talk to whoever answered? Noelle, yes. Question,
- 39:33Speaker 1: and you would sit in the lieutenant's office? Noelle, the lieutenants. Question,
- 39:37Speaker 1: all of them? Noelle, yes. Question, so it wouldn't be
- 39:40Speaker 1: like the operations lieutenant and the activities lieutenant? Noelle, no.
- 39:45Speaker 1: All the lieutenants. Question, okay. They all just sitting there together? Noelle, uh-huh. Question.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Not one of them specifically answers the phone, though. Noelle, no. Anybody? Question. Okay,
- 39:59Speaker 1: do you remember again Lieutenant Redacted was reportedly off on
- 40:02Speaker 1: August 9th and 10th? Uh-huh. Noelle answers. Question. Do you
- 40:06Speaker 1: ever recall seeing him on August 9th and August 10th? Noelle, uh-huh. Question.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Where would Lieutenant Redacted sit when he was in the MCC? Noelle, upstairs. Question.
- 40:17Speaker 1: When you say upstairs... Upstairs where? Noel, there's an office
- 40:21Speaker 1: right next to 10 South, upstairs there. Question, within the shoe? Noel, yes. Question, okay,
- 40:28Speaker 1: so he was physically in the shoe? Noel, yes. All right, folks,
