- 0:07Speaker 2: I know, I don't.
- 0:12Speaker 3: I think he's beyond my sugar, and we're looking for
- 0:15Speaker 3: his mishpaka.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Well they're all miss at that.
- 0:19Speaker 4: They're not a What are you talking about? What do
- 0:22Speaker 4: these words mean?
- 0:23Speaker 2: Oh? Well yeah, next time I see you, I'm taking
- 0:26Speaker 2: away your jew card. Amy, you're done.
- 0:27Speaker 4: I don't have a jew carda and Lutheran.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Well, I'm gonna give it to you and then take
- 0:31Speaker 2: it away. Look at over here.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Yeah, coy is such a goy.
- 0:37Speaker 1: And now handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen. Here's
- 0:42Speaker 1: Bill Handle.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Everybody will handle here. It is a Homeday, Wednesday, February
- 0:48Speaker 3: twenty five. Did I actually say mishpaka?
- 0:51Speaker 2: Yeah, as opposed to better than you? I know you did.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I don't know how that is.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Uh it's uh mischka of course, family, that's right. So Amy,
- 1:02Speaker 3: you are show. So there we go.
- 1:10Speaker 5: Okay, I'm not a Jew, but I do play one
- 1:13Speaker 5: on the radio.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yes you do, Yes you do? Okay, yep, right, all right.
- 1:22Speaker 3: I was just thinking of a joke I was about
- 1:24Speaker 3: to do, and I can't because it's uh. I was
- 1:27Speaker 3: about to say it's too offensive, but no, I don't
- 1:30Speaker 3: care about that. It just maybe we may have an
- 1:32Speaker 3: FCC problem with it. In any case, let me say
- 1:34Speaker 3: hello to everybody if I can. Let's start with you, Neil,
- 1:37Speaker 3: you already said hello, good.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Morning, Amy, good morning. There you are, and good morning,
- 1:46Speaker 2: good morning. All right.
- 1:47Speaker 3: I don't know where Cono is. He's not brought up
- 1:51Speaker 3: on the monitor yet.
- 1:52Speaker 2: There he is.
- 1:54Speaker 3: And Will all I see is the ceiling and Will,
- 1:58Speaker 3: there you are. Will, you're brought to hammer down. Yeah, okay,
- 2:02Speaker 3: that's it. The whole team is here as we started.
- 2:05Speaker 3: We've got a lot to cover today. Obviously, the State
- 2:08Speaker 3: of the Union last night very entertaining. It was actually
- 2:13Speaker 3: now not as outrageous as I actually expected Donald Trump
- 2:18Speaker 3: to be.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I mean he was plenty outrageous.
- 2:21Speaker 3: I mean there was some stuff that he said that
- 2:23Speaker 3: was it was hilarious, all of it.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I mean, the awards that he handed out.
- 2:27Speaker 3: The only thing that was did you notice the party
- 2:29Speaker 3: favors that were handed out to everybody in the gallery
- 2:31Speaker 3: that he the administration.
- 2:33Speaker 5: Gave literally party favors. It's just it was absolutely terrific.
- 2:38Speaker 5: Party he favors.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Well, said, so anyway, a lot of we'll go through him,
- 2:42Speaker 3: a lot of awards at shout outs was at three
- 2:45Speaker 3: quarters of that speech, shout outs to people in the audience,
- 2:49Speaker 3: in the gallery, and of course the heckling. The heckling
- 2:54Speaker 3: just was terrific. Marjorie Taylor Green was not there. I
- 3:01Speaker 3: don't believe was she there.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I don't think she was.
- 3:04Speaker 4: I didn't see her.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I don't think they would have pointed that out because
- 3:09Speaker 2: we didn't hear her. Yeah, she wouldn't be.
- 3:13Speaker 3: No, she wouldn't be heckling. Well, she wouldn't be heckling
- 3:16Speaker 3: the president anyway. But even if it were a Democrat,
- 3:19Speaker 3: she would not be heckling. She has stopped heckling. She
- 3:22Speaker 3: has undone and apologized for everything she has said.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Turning her life around. You know, she did.
- 3:29Speaker 3: She found religion, I think political religion. She has realized
- 3:34Speaker 3: how absolutely insane she was. And so there was plenty
- 3:38Speaker 3: of heckling, oh man, tons of it, and Trump didn't
- 3:43Speaker 3: react to it.
- 3:44Speaker 2: He did not. He just kept on going.
- 3:47Speaker 3: And then well, I'll talk more about that because there
- 3:49Speaker 3: are some takeaways, and we're going to do that obviously
- 3:52Speaker 3: at seven and seven twenty.
- 3:55Speaker 2: But all in all he got.
- 3:58Speaker 3: I think did what he had to do, and that
- 4:01Speaker 3: is simply talk to his base.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I don't think he talked independence.
- 4:06Speaker 3: He certainly didn't talk to Democrats trying to bring them
- 4:08Speaker 3: over or trying to switch over any Democrats to his side.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Or it was literally what we thought. I am the best,
- 4:17Speaker 3: I am the mostest, I am the hostess with the mostess.
- 4:21Speaker 3: I am the tippy topist. The economy has never been better.
- 4:24Speaker 3: You're all rich, you have more money than you've ever
- 4:27Speaker 3: had before. Prices are down dramatically.
- 4:31Speaker 2: You're not. It's just it's exactly what we expected.
- 4:35Speaker 3: I have created the best country on the face of
- 4:37Speaker 3: the plant, on the face of the earth.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, that was a given.
- 4:41Speaker 3: And there were some specifics that I thought were very telling,
- 4:44Speaker 3: and I'll go through that.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Cob Be up seven o'clock. Okay, moving on.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Holding back for the boss.
- 4:53Speaker 6: The Department of Justice peers who have withheld dozens of
- 4:55Speaker 6: pages of witness notes and reports about an alleged victim
- 4:58Speaker 6: of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Representative Robert Garcia
- 5:03Speaker 6: from California as accused President Trump of assaulting the woman
- 5:07Speaker 6: when she was a minor An analysis of an index
- 5:11Speaker 6: and materials in the database suggests that three FBI reports
- 5:15Speaker 6: known as three O two's, and notes from three interviews
- 5:18Speaker 6: were withheld, appearing to total more than fifty pages of material.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Yep, that's coming up at seven twenty and that is
- 5:27Speaker 3: telling no surprise there either, and I'll do more about
- 5:30Speaker 3: that one coming up.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Isn't that the smoking gun? Though?
- 5:35Speaker 5: If they have that, isn't that that's the takedown right there?
- 5:38Speaker 1: No?
- 5:38Speaker 3: I don't think so, because it is only an accusation
- 5:41Speaker 3: being made by.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Putative or purported that.
- 5:47Speaker 5: There's zero evidence now, and people are already calling them
- 5:50Speaker 5: a pedophile. So if you have something like that, doesn't
- 5:52Speaker 5: that now?
- 5:52Speaker 3: What you have, what you have is someone who is
- 5:55Speaker 3: calling saying that I was molested and including Donald Trump,
- 5:59Speaker 3: I was molested by Donald Trump. Uh, they held What
- 6:02Speaker 3: the accusation is is they held that back, wouldn't release
- 6:05Speaker 3: that file? Is that a smoking gun a gun as
- 6:09Speaker 3: to the guilt?
- 6:10Speaker 2: No?
- 6:11Speaker 5: Is it a smoking gun smoking gun to its being handled?
- 6:15Speaker 2: Yeah, well we already have the smoking gun.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Trump fought like crazy to keep those files from going public.
- 6:24Speaker 5: I mean it took, it took save your save You're
- 6:26Speaker 5: crazy you've got a lot of Trump today.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah, at no good point.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Good, but I was just I was in referencing to
- 6:34Speaker 3: what you said. I your point is, it's not a smoke.
- 6:37Speaker 3: It's not a smoking gun. I want to make that
- 6:39Speaker 3: clear as to the guilt.
- 6:40Speaker 5: All looking to your unbiased thoughts.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Later say so, Actually, I'm gonna I I am going
- 6:45Speaker 3: to tell you I think I'm going to be unbiased
- 6:47Speaker 3: in many ways. I am unbiased in many ways. Hello,
- 6:53Speaker 3: uh Amy, the one that attacks me the most for
- 6:55Speaker 3: being biased. You're quietly, you sit back and quietly slip
- 7:00Speaker 3: in handle.
- 7:01Speaker 2: You're so biased, you are so one sided.
- 7:05Speaker 4: I have never said that.
- 7:07Speaker 2: I see it on your face. I see it when
- 7:11Speaker 2: you're devilish. Laugh. When you drip contempt, I do not.
- 7:16Speaker 4: I never drip contempt her.
- 7:19Speaker 5: In her defense, we all dripped contempt for you. It
- 7:22Speaker 5: doesn't matter. That's bipartisan contempt for you.
- 7:25Speaker 3: O'Neil said that he's under the weather today, yeah, and
- 7:29Speaker 3: coming down with something yeah. And then he talked about
- 7:32Speaker 3: his son Max bringing something back.
- 7:34Speaker 5: You got a kid in grade school, they just bring
- 7:36Speaker 5: credit home, that's what they did.
- 7:37Speaker 2: And then he and then he pointed out that I
- 7:40Speaker 2: had a double hit my girls, bringing back twins. I
- 7:45Speaker 2: did have twins. I still do have twins. But it
- 7:48Speaker 2: wasn't rid of them. No, I couldn't do it.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Tried as hard as I could, and it wasn't a
- 7:54Speaker 3: question of getting you know what it is. As I
- 7:57Speaker 3: pointed out to Neil, it's not a question of getting
- 8:01Speaker 3: sick because of them. It's a question of getting sick
- 8:04Speaker 3: of them. And that was why issue. Okay, moving on.
- 8:08Speaker 5: There's not a therapist on the world to help those
- 8:11Speaker 5: poor girls.
- 8:12Speaker 2: All right.
- 8:12Speaker 5: So Chief Crowley, if you remember former Los Angeles Fire
- 8:17Speaker 5: Department Chief Kristin Crowley, She's filed a whistleblower retaliation lawsuit
- 8:22Speaker 5: and this is against LA of course, the complaint was
- 8:25Speaker 5: filed on Friday. The accusations are pretty obvious, going against
- 8:30Speaker 5: the city officials, saying that they retaliated unlawfully, of course
- 8:34Speaker 5: against her. She's a twenty six year veteran. All the
- 8:39Speaker 5: stuff coming out right now points to the fact that
- 8:41Speaker 5: there was some hinky things going on behind the scenes
- 8:45Speaker 5: in regards to the fires, and this details you know,
- 8:50Speaker 5: all her documented warnings regarding staff shortages, aging infrastructure, operational
- 8:56Speaker 5: funding cuts, and all the firefighters safety stuff and that
- 9:00Speaker 5: she was basically scapegoaded.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Well yeah, yeah by Karen Bass who threw her under
- 9:08Speaker 3: the bus.
- 9:08Speaker 2: The bus on fire. On my add there were under
- 9:10Speaker 2: the bass. Yeah, oo very good.
- 9:14Speaker 5: I still got it even when I'm stick but up
- 9:16Speaker 5: upp up.
- 9:19Speaker 6: A legal fight of biblical proportions. An appeals court has
- 9:23Speaker 6: allowed Louisiana to implement a law that requires public school
- 9:27Speaker 6: classrooms to display the Ten Commandments. That paves the way
- 9:31Speaker 6: for a legal battle that could end up in the
- 9:35Speaker 6: US Supreme Court.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:37Speaker 3: The court said that it had the previous order that
- 9:43Speaker 3: prevented the implementation of HB seventy one, which allowed the
- 9:51Speaker 3: Ten Commandments to be put up at schools.
- 9:54Speaker 2: The court, I love it. This court said he couldn't
- 9:57Speaker 2: block the.
- 9:58Speaker 3: State from doing that because quote, there wasn't enough information
- 10:02Speaker 3: about the factors such as content and prominence of the
- 10:06Speaker 3: Ten Commandment displays and schools. Well, content of the Ten
- 10:10Speaker 3: Commandments is ten commandments, isn't it.
- 10:13Speaker 2: They're pretty solid, pretty much it.
- 10:15Speaker 3: You know, you got ten Commandments and you're sort of
- 10:18Speaker 3: done by the way I have This is Louisiana, by
- 10:22Speaker 3: the way, I just want to point that out. I
- 10:23Speaker 3: think Amy said that did you that is Louisiana. Yes, okay,
- 10:28Speaker 3: you were.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Saying, why don't they just split them compromise, say we'll
- 10:32Speaker 5: put up five and you put up the last five,
- 10:34Speaker 5: and that's don't steal, don't kill. Those types of things,
- 10:38Speaker 5: doesn't have the God stuff in it.
- 10:40Speaker 2: It's a compromise.
- 10:41Speaker 3: But the implication is wait is that the implication is
- 10:44Speaker 3: where did the Ten Commandments come from?
- 10:47Speaker 2: Yes? But where did our laws come from? The Ten Commandments? Well, no,
- 10:50Speaker 2: it's not true necessarily, Relly.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Where does it say in Judeo Christian religion that you
- 10:58Speaker 3: can go more than thirty five five miles per hour
- 11:01Speaker 3: in a school zone?
- 11:02Speaker 2: Where does this say that.
- 11:03Speaker 5: We're going on two hundred and fifty years right here
- 11:06Speaker 5: in these United States? I can trace don't murder, don't steal.
- 11:11Speaker 5: I can trace those back to the Bible.
- 11:13Speaker 2: You did it first? Yes you could, Yes, you could.
- 11:16Speaker 2: That's true. Sick. Let's just move on, all right.
- 11:21Speaker 5: So, a three judge panel for the US Court of
- 11:23Speaker 5: Appeals for the DC Circuit declined to issue a preliminary
- 11:27Speaker 5: injunction for the Immigrants Right group that is out There
- 11:33Speaker 5: and other nonprofit groups that are suing the federal government.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Over data Sharing agreement signed last April. This is, you know,
- 11:40Speaker 5: giving taxpayer data to ICE. So for right now they're
- 11:46Speaker 5: still allowed to do it.
- 11:48Speaker 3: It's it's very interesting how it works.
- 11:51Speaker 2: The IRS. There is a firewall.
- 11:55Speaker 3: IRS does not share information immigration status, for example, with
- 12:00Speaker 3: any other agency. Even if the IRS knows that there
- 12:03Speaker 3: is a problem, we will not share it because here's
- 12:07Speaker 3: the philosophy. Nothing gets in the way of the government
- 12:11Speaker 3: collecting money. Nothing and if there is a if there
- 12:17Speaker 3: is a procedure or policy that would stop someone from
- 12:21Speaker 3: paying taxes, that's cut off. Well what's happening now is
- 12:26Speaker 3: that philosophy, that premise is being blown up and now
- 12:30Speaker 3: it's immigration is so important to this administration that it's
- 12:34Speaker 3: willing to undo all of the what I don't know.
- 12:37Speaker 2: If they were safeguards, but that firewall.
- 12:40Speaker 5: Okay, So what happens if you are I don't know,
- 12:44Speaker 5: on the right and you're complaining about the tax, you know,
- 12:47Speaker 5: the tax on our country by illegal immigrants, and you
- 12:52Speaker 5: say they don't pay taxes, and then you say, but
- 12:56Speaker 5: we should get their tax information. Things a little oddy.
- 13:02Speaker 2: I'm sick.
- 13:05Speaker 6: Holy plane bullet holes were discovered on an American airlines
- 13:10Speaker 6: flight that traveled between Metayine, Columbia and Miami. Columbian officials
- 13:15Speaker 6: say their preliminary investigation shows the flight was struck while
- 13:20Speaker 6: landing in Medaine on Sunday. American Airlines says its teams
- 13:24Speaker 6: identified a puncture to the plane's exterior during a routine
- 13:28Speaker 6: inspection when it returned to Miami. American said the puncture
- 13:31Speaker 6: did not cause any issues with flying the plane.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Don't it isn't the if a bullet hole goes through
- 13:38Speaker 3: an airplane and at altitude the hole is still there,
- 13:43Speaker 3: don't you get sucked out of the plane.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Well, yeah, you little depressurized.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean people right next to that little tiny
- 13:52Speaker 3: hole will be sucked out.
- 13:53Speaker 4: And here's a hole you get hit the cabin.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Oh, because there's a whole issue about how big a
- 13:59Speaker 3: how big you can be that would go through a
- 14:02Speaker 3: single hole the size of a bullet. And I think
- 14:05Speaker 3: it's it's a great visual. It's a cartoon visual. I
- 14:07Speaker 3: do thank you for explaining that.
- 14:09Speaker 5: By the way, Amy, I do know that if you
- 14:11Speaker 5: shoot like a pro paintent take don't do this, by
- 14:14Speaker 5: the way, but if you shoot a paint take, it
- 14:17Speaker 5: doesn't blow up like it does in the movies. But
- 14:19Speaker 5: I wonder what a wing has all the the fuel
- 14:24Speaker 5: in it, what would happen to that if a hot
- 14:27Speaker 5: lead bullet went through that.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think it's going to blow up. I
- 14:31Speaker 3: think there's enough fire suppression in those things, because they do.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I mean, you know, bullet holes are.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Shot through aircraft all the time. What bullet holes are
- 14:40Speaker 3: shot through? Yeah? Yeah, those planes?
- 14:44Speaker 2: Yeah exactly, No, not not.
- 14:46Speaker 5: I should have gotten bad out there, Okay, right, pets
- 14:51Speaker 5: need help the la fires. I mean, with all the
- 14:54Speaker 5: horrific scenes that we saw, you also don't want you know,
- 14:59Speaker 5: other loved ones, family loved ones running around, free little
- 15:04Speaker 5: guys getting torched. And there were three or four horses,
- 15:09Speaker 5: I think, or houses that came down, and there were horses,
- 15:12Speaker 5: there were animals. There were all these animals that got
- 15:16Speaker 5: spooked and they break out. They don't lose their callers.
- 15:20Speaker 5: And now there is a group that's looking towards changing
- 15:24Speaker 5: this with a new bill. It aims to assist these
- 15:27Speaker 5: little free family And.
- 15:30Speaker 3: It's a federal bill, and I'm assuming that no one
- 15:33Speaker 3: is going to argue against that one.
- 15:35Speaker 2: That's going to be one. It's a for temporary shelter assistance.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Who's going to say no to that.
- 15:40Speaker 6: Well, the public is bailing on California. Well, it's public
- 15:43Speaker 6: storage that's bailing on California. The storage company is moving
- 15:48Speaker 6: its corporate headquarters from Glendale to Frisco.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Texas, which is outside Dallas.
- 15:54Speaker 6: The largest self storage brand in the US has been
- 15:58Speaker 6: based in southern California since it's founding in nineteen seventy
- 16:02Speaker 6: two in alcohol.
- 16:04Speaker 3: I have a question about companies moving out of California,
- 16:07Speaker 3: and in one of the things that Newsome, for example,
- 16:12Speaker 3: touts that I think more businesses have moved in or
- 16:16Speaker 3: it's not a net loss. We don't talk about how
- 16:19Speaker 3: many people, how many employees these businesses have. You have
- 16:23Speaker 3: a company that has five thousand employees that leaves, and
- 16:27Speaker 3: you have a company coming in that has four. There
- 16:30Speaker 3: you go, it's one for one. It's even steven, it's not.
- 16:35Speaker 2: It's not.
- 16:36Speaker 3: The companies that move out of California are established companies
- 16:39Speaker 3: that are making money and they't want to pay taxes.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I just want to point that out.
- 16:45Speaker 5: We should have Yeah, it's all right, Well it's in
- 16:49Speaker 5: vogue again to hate the Jews, I guess, yeah, but
- 16:54Speaker 5: we learned nothing in life. The Trump administration yesterday sued
- 17:00Speaker 5: University of California, alleging that UCLA administrators have routinely ignored
- 17:05Speaker 5: and failed to report employee complaints of anti Semitism since
- 17:09Speaker 5: twenty and twenty three. With the Hamas attack there on Israel,
- 17:15Speaker 5: Israel's war in Gaza, you had a bunch of pro
- 17:18Speaker 5: Palestinian campus activism and stuff like that, and so they're
- 17:24Speaker 5: they're rightly pointing this out.
- 17:26Speaker 2: It was disgusting. Yeah, but I'm not going to agree.
- 17:31Speaker 2: I know you hate Jews now, of course I have
- 17:33Speaker 2: a self cloathing Jew.
- 17:34Speaker 3: But the point is is that Israel and Zionism is
- 17:38Speaker 3: hated throughout all of the universities in the United States.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Maybe Liberty or Brigham Young it's not, but the universities
- 17:47Speaker 3: always go for the underdog, and the universities ever since
- 17:50Speaker 3: Israel's been around, it's and it's for example, occupied the
- 17:54Speaker 3: West Bank and Gaza until it got out of Gaza
- 17:58Speaker 3: in two thousand and six. It's uh, it's the oppressive Jews.
- 18:03Speaker 3: It's the occupying Jews.
- 18:05Speaker 5: Because Jews have never been oppressed. You gotta love how
- 18:09Speaker 5: people there's a group of people who want to help
- 18:13Speaker 5: the broken until they fix themselves and then and stay strong,
- 18:19Speaker 5: and then they're horrible people.
- 18:21Speaker 2: You know, it's a good points you want to keep.
- 18:23Speaker 5: But want to keep people oppressed and weak because then
- 18:27Speaker 5: they can help them and they're necessary. But once they
- 18:30Speaker 5: become strong and figure things out and stay together and
- 18:34Speaker 5: build a place where they can go so they won't
- 18:37Speaker 5: be uh, you know.
- 18:39Speaker 2: They just where they can that's right, where they can
- 18:41Speaker 2: oppress people.
- 18:43Speaker 3: You know. By the way, I know I am pro really,
- 18:46Speaker 3: but let me tell you, do you know second class
- 18:50Speaker 3: citizens are in Israel Arab israelis Arabs who were born
- 18:55Speaker 3: in Israel are second class citizens. The point is Israel
- 18:59Speaker 3: is like any other country. There is no difference. It
- 19:03Speaker 3: is not this It was created with its very high
- 19:07Speaker 3: moral basis out of the ashes.
- 19:09Speaker 2: But then it's turned out to be true throughout history.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Oh no, no, that is magical as far as the user concerned.
- 19:17Speaker 3: You can become a citizen of Israel automatically just by
- 19:19Speaker 3: walking in the door. Basically, I'm saying because it's the
- 19:21Speaker 3: one place that Jews figure it's the only place on
- 19:24Speaker 3: earth where they can go and not be thrown out
- 19:27Speaker 3: and not be oppressed. But the problem is Once Israel
- 19:29Speaker 3: was established, it became just another country with the same
- 19:33Speaker 3: philosophies as other countries. And what Israel did do in
- 19:36Speaker 3: nineteen sixty seven with the sixty seven war, it did
- 19:40Speaker 3: grab the West Bank, it did take Sinai, it did
- 19:43Speaker 3: take Gaza, and so you have quote an oppressive government.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Now Sinai went back to Egypt because of the negotiations,
- 19:55Speaker 3: because of the peace accord. The problem is that you
- 19:58Speaker 3: have the Palestine that just they're not willing to cut
- 20:01Speaker 3: a deal.
- 20:02Speaker 2: They're not so.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Anyway, it's a little complicated, but the bottom line is, yes,
- 20:07Speaker 3: anti Semitism has been around, and I don't think any well, no,
- 20:10Speaker 3: that's not fair to say. I think more so now
- 20:12Speaker 3: because of the Israeli Jamas war.
- 20:16Speaker 2: So there you go.
- 20:17Speaker 3: I don't know why I said all of that, and
- 20:19Speaker 3: I don't know how much that made sense, but okay,
- 20:21Speaker 3: decided to throw that.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Out at you.
- 20:25Speaker 6: The fire chief salary is red hot. The La City
- 20:30Speaker 6: Council has approved salary for the new fire chief, Himimore.
- 20:35Speaker 6: It's going to be four hundred and seventy three thousand,
- 20:38Speaker 6: six hundred dollars a year. That's eighteen thousand more than
- 20:42Speaker 6: his predecessor, Kristin Crowley made. Of course, she was demoted
- 20:47Speaker 6: by Mayor Bass in February of twenty twenty five for
- 20:50Speaker 6: her handling of the Palisades fire.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Now I have a question to ask all of you here.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Does four hundred and seventy three thousand dollars a year
- 20:59Speaker 3: to run a department? City department? Seemed like a lot
- 21:02Speaker 3: of money to you? Yes, okay, Neil, seems like a
- 21:07Speaker 3: lot of money to you. Exactly, okay, about right? And Amy,
- 21:14Speaker 3: here's the point. The fire chief runs a business, or
- 21:18Speaker 3: runs a bureaucracy of what a billion dollars? Two billion dollars,
- 21:23Speaker 3: and look at any price. I don't even know what
- 21:25Speaker 3: the budget is for the fire department, but look at
- 21:29Speaker 3: any business that has that kind of a budget, and
- 21:32Speaker 3: you'll see it far, far greater for the CEO.
- 21:34Speaker 4: I'm just saying it sounds nice and high.
- 21:36Speaker 3: No, no, I don't, but no, no, I understand, I
- 21:39Speaker 3: get it. But relative to the job. You know, for example,
- 21:44Speaker 3: if you look at what the president makes, Yeah, that
- 21:47Speaker 3: seems pretty high. President makes four hundred thousand dollars a year. Uh,
- 21:50Speaker 3: And that's it. That always seemed weird. It used to
- 21:54Speaker 3: be too something or whatever, and then oh.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Yeah, they raise it. It used to be.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Well, when JFK was president, it was one hundred thousand
- 22:00Speaker 3: dollars a year.
- 22:02Speaker 5: What was that though, translated into today? You know, I
- 22:05Speaker 5: don't know, I'd be pretty good. But yeah, that's four
- 22:08Speaker 5: forty five or whatever. You're saying that that's good. That
- 22:11Speaker 5: sounds about right to me.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Well, actually, when President Lincoln was president, it was twenty
- 22:15Speaker 3: five thousand dollars a year, and that actually is more money,
- 22:18Speaker 3: I think than the four hundred thousand dollars a year
- 22:20Speaker 3: the president makes now. But hey, Sirih, what is one
- 22:26Speaker 3: hundred thousand dollars in nineteen sixty dollars? Dude, dude, come on, hey, Sirih.
- 22:34Speaker 3: I hate what Sirih does is Hey, Sirih, all right,
- 22:37Speaker 3: someone look it up. Because Siri is not paying attention
- 22:39Speaker 3: to me. Wow, I hate Siri. Siri hates me? Why
- 22:43Speaker 3: because I'm a self loathing Okay, let's move on.
- 22:46Speaker 2: We got it all right.
- 22:48Speaker 5: So that weight loss drug that everybody weight loss drugs
- 22:52Speaker 5: rather than everybody loves our love with GLP ones, it's
- 22:57Speaker 5: about to get less expensive and it should be because man,
- 23:00Speaker 5: it was like what thirteen fourteen hundred dollars.
- 23:04Speaker 2: A thousand dollars. Yeah, yeah, it could getting up there.
- 23:07Speaker 5: So they're looking to bring it down around six seventy five,
- 23:11Speaker 5: which I think for one month supply, which I think
- 23:13Speaker 5: is still way too damn high. But uh yeah, so
- 23:17Speaker 5: uh Novo is slashing the cost of ozempic, GOVI and
- 23:22Speaker 5: those things as they.
- 23:24Speaker 2: So, now let me ask this question. You take these drugs.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Let's say it's gonna cost you six hundred and seventy
- 23:30Speaker 3: five dollars a month, which you think is very high, Neil,
- 23:34Speaker 3: considering how it suppresses your appetite?
- 23:36Speaker 2: How much food are you not going to buy?
- 23:38Speaker 3: It's a good those drugs, maybe, especially with the cost
- 23:42Speaker 3: of food today.
- 23:43Speaker 5: How much your funions we should work about.
- 23:46Speaker 2: I don't even know we should I don't even know.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Funions are great.
- 23:50Speaker 5: Yeah, we'll have to do what we'll have to do.
- 23:52Speaker 5: The calculating there.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Okay, here big story for Amy. She loves this story.
- 23:56Speaker 6: Yes, but before that we did the calculating. One hundred
- 23:58Speaker 6: thousand dollars in nineteen sixty would be about a one
- 24:01Speaker 6: point one million today.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Holy really, one hundred thousand would be one point one million. Wow.
- 24:09Speaker 3: And the President makes so it's half today of what
- 24:12Speaker 3: President Kennedy made in terms of buying power.
- 24:16Speaker 4: All right, Jackie in Shadow are back in business.
- 24:20Speaker 2: That doesn't sound right, Okay, go ahead.
- 24:23Speaker 6: Jackie the Bald Eagle laid another egg yesterday in a
- 24:28Speaker 6: nest high above Big Bear Lake. It's her third of
- 24:31Speaker 6: the season. She laid two other eggs in January. The
- 24:34Speaker 6: Ravens got them, and friends of Big Bear Valley and
- 24:39Speaker 6: thousands of YouTube watchers have been waiting patiently to see
- 24:42Speaker 6: if she'd lay more eggs, and she did so. Now
- 24:46Speaker 6: we're on the Pipwatch incubation watch, watching the nest for
- 24:50Speaker 6: the next month until hopefully one of hatches.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Is. One of the reasons you like this story so
- 24:55Speaker 3: much is that we lay an egg every morning here
- 24:57Speaker 3: on the show.
- 24:57Speaker 5: Oh boy, yes, it feels like home Ravens versus the Eagles.
- 25:03Speaker 3: We are oh very well, said, oh very good. Okay, guys,
- 25:08Speaker 3: we are done. Kfi A m six point forty.
