Veteran Sets Fire to Federal Building | New York City News
A wild and dangerous scene unfolded outside a Manhattan federal building when a 43-year-old Army veteran, Andrew Arrabaca, rolled up with a cart of fireworks and an airsoft gun, then doused the steps in gasoline and set it ablaze. Armed with a machete and knives, he admitted to acting on anti-government rage, knowing people could be hurt. Charged with arson, he’s now detained and under evaluation — with the judge skeptical he’ll comply with treatment despite defense pleas for VA care. The case is far from over.
