Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simon Show delivering the news before it is
- 0:04Speaker 1: on seven to ten WR.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Well, it's today Thursday, It's one week until Christmas. Christmas
- 0:13Speaker 2: is a week from today. Unbelievable. It's almost time for
- 0:17Speaker 2: New Year's resolutions. It's almost time for look back of
- 0:21Speaker 2: best of twenty twenty five? Can you believe it? The
- 0:23Speaker 2: year just flown by. So Nick Reiner was in court
- 0:29Speaker 2: with no tell that was he had on. It's they
- 0:34Speaker 2: call it a suicide vest. It's a weird blue thing
- 0:38Speaker 2: covering up. He had shackles on and obviously a very
- 0:42Speaker 2: very dangerous, troubled guy. He's being held in isolation. He's
- 0:47Speaker 2: on suicide watch. They brought him into court basically only
- 0:50Speaker 2: said one thing. He only spoke once when the judge
- 0:54Speaker 2: said they agreed to delay until January, agent and all
- 1:00Speaker 2: that stuff, and then she said are you okay with
- 1:04Speaker 2: giving up your right to swift try? And he said, yes,
- 1:07Speaker 2: you're on it. It's the only thing he said in
- 1:08Speaker 2: court that day. This attorney has Jackson is one of
- 1:12Speaker 2: the top top top Los Angeles criminal attorneys. Handled a
- 1:16Speaker 2: lot of big, big cases. It said, if you want
- 1:19Speaker 2: to hire this guy on a murder charge and get
- 1:22Speaker 2: defended by him. It's about a million bucks, so I
- 1:25Speaker 2: would assume the family is paying for it. Here's the attorney.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Afterwards, You're set for January seventh, foreign arraignment. That's the
- 1:33Speaker 3: next court date. And that's all I have to say
- 1:36Speaker 3: at this point.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Well, so the kid will be locked up until then, dangerous,
- 1:41Speaker 2: dangerous kid.
- 1:42Speaker 3: We asked that during this process you allow the system
- 1:46Speaker 3: to move forward in the way that it was designed
- 1:48Speaker 3: to move forward, not with a rush to judgment, not
- 1:51Speaker 3: with jumping to conclusions, but with restraint and with dignity
- 1:55Speaker 3: and with the respect that this system and this process
- 2:00Speaker 3: and that the family deserves.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Very well said, but I got to be honest, I'm
- 2:04Speaker 2: going to rush the judgment on this one. I am
- 2:07Speaker 2: going to definitely jump the conclusions with this deranged psycho kid.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I will rush the judgment on this one. But that's
- 2:14Speaker 2: what you do for a million dollars. You sound good
- 2:16Speaker 2: and you make these speeches, but I really don't know
- 2:22Speaker 2: how they I mean, you know what, I would assume
- 2:24Speaker 2: in the end, they're going to have DNA evidence that
- 2:26Speaker 2: will absolutely convict this kid through a hard DNA evidence.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Although it is Los Angeles where they have screwed up
- 2:33Speaker 2: more cases. You remember the OJ case was lost because
- 2:37Speaker 2: they didn't properly secure the evidence. Remember they had the
- 2:39Speaker 2: blood all over them. Do you remember OJ. He had
- 2:42Speaker 2: blood on his golf hand glove, He had blood on
- 2:46Speaker 2: his socks, He had blood in his bedroom, he had
- 2:48Speaker 2: blood in his washing machine. The blood was every place,
- 2:51Speaker 2: but they collected it and then they didn't remember. They
- 2:54Speaker 2: didn't secure the evidence properly. Remember that detective was his name,
- 2:57Speaker 2: Van at Er. How's that for a memory? Had to
- 3:01Speaker 2: admit under oath that he put the test tube with
- 3:03Speaker 2: the blood, he had it in his sport coat pocket
- 3:06Speaker 2: for a week before he vouchered or something like that.
- 3:08Speaker 2: They just screwed it up. So anything can happen in
- 3:11Speaker 2: Los Angeles. Now, in the Brown University shooting, it turns
- 3:14Speaker 2: out this Brown University has got one really bumbling, stupid president.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Her name is I forget what her name is. But
- 3:23Speaker 2: in fact there's talking now of hauling her in front
- 3:25Speaker 2: of Congress and making you testify about how badly run
- 3:29Speaker 2: Brown University was. You know, kept pointing out the security director.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I don't like his resume. He's got twenty thirty years
- 3:36Speaker 2: of school safety but you know, somewhere else, he was
- 3:40Speaker 2: a director of security at a school. Somewhere else, he
- 3:43Speaker 2: was a patrolman, but on a school a security force.
- 3:47Speaker 2: You know, you'd like to get a guy from real
- 3:48Speaker 2: law enforcement, a real ex I would hire an next
- 3:52Speaker 2: NYPD captain or something like that, or somebody with some
- 3:55Speaker 2: real law enforcement experience, because if you look at Brown University,
- 3:59Speaker 2: they have no clue to what happened here. They can't
- 4:01Speaker 2: give you a video of the guy. All they got
- 4:03Speaker 2: that one video you see is somebody's ring doorbell thing
- 4:07Speaker 2: from three blocks away. What the hell kind of campus
- 4:11Speaker 2: does not have surveillance cameras everywhere? The restaurants have them everywhere.
- 4:17Speaker 2: We have, look at it. We got them all over
- 4:19Speaker 2: the hallway. Look around here, go down the hall, turn
- 4:23Speaker 2: the corner. That's like you got to pass twelve security cameras.
- 4:26Speaker 2: How does the university with a bunch of crazy kids,
- 4:29Speaker 2: how do they not have surveillance cameras? They just don't.
- 4:32Speaker 2: This Brown president and Brown University, her name, I forget
- 4:37Speaker 2: her name, and then she's blaming the gun violence, gun violence,
- 4:41Speaker 2: gun we have. The gun didn't cause the problem. The
- 4:45Speaker 2: shooter did. And you don't have surveillance cameras, so we
- 4:47Speaker 2: can't get a picture of the guy.
- 4:48Speaker 1: The shooter is responsible. Horrific gun violence took the lives
- 4:53Speaker 1: of these students and hospitalized others. And it's deeply sad
- 4:58Speaker 1: and tragic that schools across the country or targets of violence.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Brown is no exception.
- 5:04Speaker 2: She's gonna get hauled in front of Congress, and I've
- 5:05Speaker 2: testified her oath. She's get three million a year, three
- 5:08Speaker 2: million a year and doesn't have a proper head of security,
- 5:12Speaker 2: does not have surveillance cameras, all the necessary equipment. Her background, well,
- 5:17Speaker 2: she's an economist. Well there you go. An economist, not
- 5:23Speaker 2: the good kind, not the Steve More kind. This is
- 5:25Speaker 2: like the academic economists. You know, they're just sitting in
- 5:28Speaker 2: a university somewhere and never make contact with the real world. Oh,
- 5:32Speaker 2: actually she did. Look she was at Princeton, an economist
- 5:35Speaker 2: at Princeton. Okay, New York Times is this New York
- 5:41Speaker 2: Times is the most incoonfident, bumbling partisan disturbing details from
- 5:48Speaker 2: the New York Times stunning Trump investigation, Trump Epstein investigation.
- 5:54Speaker 2: This is the New York Times published its most comprehensive
- 5:58Speaker 2: investigation Yet in to President Trump's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein,
- 6:02Speaker 2: now there's not much of a relationship. They knew each
- 6:04Speaker 2: other for a couple of years when he was a
- 6:07Speaker 2: first a zillionaire and he came to Palm Beach and
- 6:09Speaker 2: was throwing money around. He joined mar A Lago. And
- 6:11Speaker 2: whenever you run a resort, a hotel, a club, if
- 6:15Speaker 2: a new guy in town's got zillions of dollars and
- 6:17Speaker 2: he's spending like crazy at Coortia, and he becomes a
- 6:20Speaker 2: memory of a club of coursing over, you say hello,
- 6:22Speaker 2: You go to his parties and invite him to stuff.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Perfectly normal happens all the time. Times they had to
- 6:28Speaker 2: admit in the little fine print, all the Times found
- 6:31Speaker 2: no evidence implicating Trump in Epstein's secks trafficking crimes. But
- 6:36Speaker 2: but they did so with their investigation reveals a social
- 6:40Speaker 2: and personal relationship far beyond what has been acknowledged. Now,
- 6:44Speaker 2: what are they based that, Well, they based this on
- 6:49Speaker 2: they were going through Epstein's stuff and he had a
- 6:51Speaker 2: copy of Trump's book, The Art of the Comeback, very
- 6:54Speaker 2: good book, by the way, one of his best. It's
- 6:56Speaker 2: out of print, but it's a great book. But in
- 6:59Speaker 2: the book, which was nineteen ninety seven. That's how long
- 7:03Speaker 2: ago Trump knew Epstein. He broke up with him right away.
- 7:07Speaker 2: He found that guy was creepy and got rid of him.
- 7:09Speaker 2: But in nineteen ninety seven he gave Trump a book
- 7:13Speaker 2: and he inscribed the book. He autographed it to him.
- 7:16Speaker 2: And this is the what their New York Times is
- 7:20Speaker 2: basing this on, that he was much closer than we think,
- 7:23Speaker 2: because he wrote in the book. Guess what he wrote
- 7:27Speaker 2: to Jeff, you are the greatest. Donald, ha ha. They
- 7:33Speaker 2: got him you are the great Well, I hate to
- 7:35Speaker 2: break it to you. I got a copy of the
- 7:37Speaker 2: Art of the Comeback from nineteen ninety seven, and guess
- 7:40Speaker 2: what he wrote in my book, the same thing, you
- 7:42Speaker 2: are the greatest. I hate to break it to your
- 7:45Speaker 2: New York Times. I could show you twenty letters I
- 7:47Speaker 2: have from him through the years where that's what he
- 7:49Speaker 2: writes at the end. I got a million notes from
- 7:52Speaker 2: him that he always writes you are great or you
- 7:54Speaker 2: are the greatest. It's just standard for him. It doesn't
- 7:57Speaker 2: mean anything. It shows you absolutely nothing about their relationship.
- 8:03Speaker 2: I mean, I could go back to the nineties, where
- 8:05Speaker 2: you know, i'd m see a dinner forum or and
- 8:09Speaker 2: he'd send you a note you were a great MC,
- 8:11Speaker 2: thank you so much, and then underneath it would be type,
- 8:13Speaker 2: but underneath you would write with the big sharpie you
- 8:16Speaker 2: are the greatest Donald. It's just standard. He does that
- 8:20Speaker 2: for everybody. So of course the New York Times never
- 8:23Speaker 2: really investigates, or they would have checked that out and
- 8:26Speaker 2: gotten to the bottom of that and realized they had
- 8:28Speaker 2: nothing there. You remember the kiss cam at the Patriots Stadium,
- 8:37Speaker 2: the kisscam scandal. It was coldplay the concert and the
- 8:41Speaker 2: big CEO is out with an employee. They've gone to
- 8:46Speaker 2: a concert and that kiss cam. You know how many
- 8:52Speaker 2: people are in that stadium, fifty thousand, It just zooms
- 8:55Speaker 2: around and picks out somebody. What are the odds that
- 8:58Speaker 2: it would land on these two who are having an affair, cheating,
- 9:01Speaker 2: not supposed to be out there and are holding each
- 9:04Speaker 2: other arm in arm and she had to resign. I
- 9:08Speaker 2: guess he had to resign. Well, she's finally speaking out
- 9:10Speaker 2: for the first time ever. She's finally speaking out, and
- 9:13Speaker 2: she spoke out and gave an interview. I'm reading the interview.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I don't really know what how she's saying. It's kind
- 9:20Speaker 2: of vague, she said. The sixteen second public display of
- 9:24Speaker 2: affection with her then boss left her. She says it
- 9:28Speaker 2: left me as a meme and unemployable. She had not
- 9:32Speaker 2: been able to get another job. She says, you know,
- 9:34Speaker 2: what does this mean? I made a bad decision. I
- 9:37Speaker 2: had a couple of high noons and danced and acted
- 9:41Speaker 2: inappropriately with my boss while admitting he was her big
- 9:46Speaker 2: happy crush. What does that mean? I made a bad
- 9:50Speaker 2: decision and had a couple of high noons. Does that
- 9:54Speaker 2: mean she was like Gary Cooper getting in a gunfight?
- 9:57Speaker 2: Or what does it mean? Does it mean high noons?
- 9:58Speaker 2: Does that mean in the middle of the day I
- 10:00Speaker 2: went to like a motel or something.
- 10:02Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I guess that's what it's supposed to mean. And it's
- 10:06Speaker 2: not nothing. I took accountability. I gave up my career
- 10:09Speaker 2: for that. That's the price I chose to pay. I
- 10:11Speaker 2: don't think she chose that. I think that's how it
- 10:14Speaker 2: ended up. But coming forward, I don't know why. I
- 10:17Speaker 2: guess is she going to have a book deal? Does
- 10:20Speaker 2: she want to get on the view? She says, I'm
- 10:23Speaker 2: not a celebrity. I'm just a mom from New Hampshire.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Even if I did have an affair, it's not anybody's business.
- 10:29Speaker 2: It has been like a scarlet letter. People erased anything
- 10:33Speaker 2: and everything I've accomplished in my life and achieved in
- 10:37Speaker 2: my career. This can't be the final word. Okay, I
- 10:40Speaker 2: guess what it is. She hasn't been able to get
- 10:43Speaker 2: a job, So this is she's gonna And she's not wrong.
- 10:46Speaker 2: You know, everything else fails, go public, get a lot
- 10:49Speaker 2: of attentions. You can get a job out of it,
- 10:51Speaker 2: she said. Instead, I became a meme and unemployable. I
- 10:55Speaker 2: was the most recognized. Oh no, I was the most
- 10:58Speaker 2: maligned HR manager in HR history. Well yeah, actually, if
- 11:05Speaker 2: you're the HR manager, aren't you supposed to be watching
- 11:07Speaker 2: for this kind of thing and stopping it, not doing
- 11:09Speaker 2: it yourself? Yeah? Hey, mom, Donnie. Two weeks from today,
- 11:18Speaker 2: is that New Year's Day? Yeah? Two weeks from today
- 11:21Speaker 2: takes office, the last two weeks of Eric Adams. Two
- 11:26Speaker 2: weeks from today, Mam Donnie is sworn in. Now. The
- 11:29Speaker 2: biggest thing everybody's worried about, obviously, is crime number two
- 11:32Speaker 2: would be these homeless camps all over the place. Uh,
- 11:37Speaker 2: here's some good news, some good news. The US Attorney
- 11:41Speaker 2: Southern District, that's the most powerful US attorney's office. The
- 11:45Speaker 2: current US attorney's a guy named Jay Clayton. He's great,
- 11:48Speaker 2: really great Jay Clayton. He has quite a career. You know,
- 11:52Speaker 2: he was the SEC chairman in Trump's first term. Donald
- 11:55Speaker 2: Trump likes him a lot, talks to him constantly. And
- 12:00Speaker 2: j Clayton as the US attorney. You know, in the
- 12:02Speaker 2: Southern District, they're usually going after some big fraud case,
- 12:05Speaker 2: or they're going after some big corporation, some big drug
- 12:09Speaker 2: trafficky whatever, big big stuff. But Clayton has said he
- 12:15Speaker 2: and his office and this is good news with Mom
- 12:18Speaker 2: Downey company, he said, he in his office will focus
- 12:21Speaker 2: on street crime. And they can do this. They can
- 12:25Speaker 2: do this. They can do a great job. And these
- 12:27Speaker 2: federal guys are even better. Sometimes they'll go after drugs,
- 12:31Speaker 2: they'll go after guns, they'll go after violence, they'll go
- 12:34Speaker 2: after all kinds of crime. Reason I say they're better.
- 12:37Speaker 2: NYPD is great. But problem with the NYPD. They'll do
- 12:41Speaker 2: a great job, but then it goes into a New
- 12:43Speaker 2: York City court, a New York City judge, a New
- 12:45Speaker 2: York City jury, and you know he goes to Alvin
- 12:49Speaker 2: Bragg local DA, and all these people do is let
- 12:53Speaker 2: the criminals back out in the street. Now, in the
- 12:55Speaker 2: case of Clayton, it's federal. It goes to a federal prosecutor,
- 12:59Speaker 2: and they don't let everybody go. They'll actually lock them up.
- 13:03Speaker 2: And as Clayton said, the one thing we do know
- 13:05Speaker 2: is if you keep letting the criminals back out, you're
- 13:08Speaker 2: going to have a crime wave. If you'll lock them
- 13:10Speaker 2: up and keep them locked up, crime drops dramatically. He says,
- 13:14Speaker 2: we know from studies repeat violent offenders, continuous custody is
- 13:19Speaker 2: the thing that reduces crime the most. Rudy Giuliani did
- 13:23Speaker 2: a little of this when he was mayor. They used
- 13:25Speaker 2: to have one day a week would be Federal Day
- 13:27Speaker 2: where the cops would go out there and have federal
- 13:30Speaker 2: officers with them, so the cops would break the case,
- 13:33Speaker 2: find the criminal, and then hand them over to the
- 13:35Speaker 2: Feds because they could make sure he got locked up,
- 13:38Speaker 2: unlike locals here with the das that we have the
- 13:41Speaker 2: crazy ones. So that's very very good news. And apparently
- 13:45Speaker 2: Trump is on board with this. So if it does
- 13:49Speaker 2: start to have if there is starting to be a
- 13:51Speaker 2: crime problem, you'll see the Feds step in on the
- 13:54Speaker 2: streets in New York and start arresting criminals and making
- 13:56Speaker 2: sure they don't get out. Very good news. And Bongino
- 14:00Speaker 2: is going to leave his FBI deputy director. It's been confirmed.
- 14:07Speaker 2: The replacements are a couple of guys. They're just you know,
- 14:12Speaker 2: career FBI guys. So, but Bongino has already cleaned out
- 14:15Speaker 2: his desk. He will officially stay until January and then
- 14:18Speaker 2: he'll leave. President Trump said Dan did a great job.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I think he wants to go back to his show. Yeah,
- 14:25Speaker 2: I don't blame him. You know, the problem is being
- 14:27Speaker 2: the deputy director. Basically you're just running day to day operations,
- 14:31Speaker 2: which if you're in that business, it's a great job.
- 14:33Speaker 2: But if you're you know, I gotta be honest with you,
- 14:36Speaker 2: it's much more fun doing this, you know, going on
- 14:38Speaker 2: TV and being on the radio and doing broadcasting. It's
- 14:42Speaker 2: a lot more fun than sitting in an office all
- 14:44Speaker 2: day doing FBI business. And for a lot of these
- 14:47Speaker 2: guys that leave, I don't know how they do it,
- 14:52Speaker 2: you know, I mean it's fun, you know, it's great.
- 14:55Speaker 2: All you do is have fun all day in broadcasting.
- 14:57Speaker 2: So Bongino wants to get back to that. Hey, you
- 15:01Speaker 2: know this assisted suicide thing where you can decide you
- 15:04Speaker 2: want to die and get the medical aid and dying.
- 15:08Speaker 2: You know, it's like doctor suicide. You can do this.
- 15:11Speaker 2: In Canada did it? They legalized it in twenty sixteen.
- 15:14Speaker 2: In fact, within five years, doctor assisted suicide became one
- 15:18Speaker 2: of the top five causes of death in Canada. So
- 15:22Speaker 2: they're pushing this in New York and Kathy Hochel surprised
- 15:26Speaker 2: everybody by getting on board with this. You want to
- 15:28Speaker 2: commit suicide, you want to die, you can go to
- 15:31Speaker 2: the doctor and have him suicide you Kavorki in you Now,
- 15:35Speaker 2: why would Hochel suddenly get it? Why would she want
- 15:38Speaker 2: to be Well, the insurance companies are pushing this like crazy.
- 15:43Speaker 2: In fact, they've been spending a lot of money, spending
- 15:48Speaker 2: a ton of money donating to politicians. They want this
- 15:52Speaker 2: because it'll save them a fortune. Now, who would want
- 15:54Speaker 2: to go commit suicide while somebody who's got a terrible
- 15:58Speaker 2: illness that's going to choir you know, catastrophic medical care. Well,
- 16:05Speaker 2: if you don't want to go through that, you'd rather
- 16:06Speaker 2: just commit suicide. It's you know, for you you think
- 16:10Speaker 2: it's better for the insurance company. It's a hell of
- 16:13Speaker 2: a lot better. You know that your insurance medical bills
- 16:16Speaker 2: could be ten million bucks by the time you're done
- 16:18Speaker 2: twenty years later. So the insurance company would love to
- 16:20Speaker 2: have you just go away. So they've been bribing and
- 16:24Speaker 2: donating and paying off politicians like crazy. And guess who's
- 16:28Speaker 2: suddenly on board Kathy Hokel. Well you do the math.
- 16:32Speaker 2: That's why she suddenly is on board with this. Hey,
- 16:34Speaker 2: we'll take Jimmy Faala will be with us in a
- 16:36Speaker 2: few minutes. We'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three
- 16:39Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred
- 16:43Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten.
- 16:46Speaker 5: Give WR O, Bri said on the iHeartRadio app to
- 16:50Speaker 5: hear marximone and all the WR hosts in an instead.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Now back to the Marximo Show on wor.
- 17:00Speaker 2: HEYXT and calls. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike,
- 17:03Speaker 2: how you doing, Good morning, Mark, Good morning, Mike.
- 17:07Speaker 6: Want to wish you a very pleasant vacation, not.
- 17:11Speaker 2: A great vacation, just a pleasant one.
- 17:13Speaker 6: A great with you.
- 17:18Speaker 2: You have a pleasant.
- 17:23Speaker 6: You know, the President looked pod last night and I
- 17:25Speaker 6: think he feels like he's in person alone. You know,
- 17:28Speaker 6: even even supporters you know, and who are analysts and pundits,
- 17:32Speaker 6: you know, they can't comet out and support him. They
- 17:35Speaker 6: always have to dump on him before they say anything
- 17:38Speaker 6: positive about him. And I think he's frustrated by that.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Well, no, he's okay. The reason he was a little mad,
- 17:43Speaker 2: like he did not want to do that last night,
- 17:45Speaker 2: that was the staff pushing that. Susie wils pushed it,
- 17:47Speaker 2: and right before he went it in front of the camera,
- 17:49Speaker 2: he said, she's making me do this. The last thing
- 17:52Speaker 2: he believes in is a formal speech, reading a teleprompter
- 17:55Speaker 2: at a podium, all alone in a room.
- 17:57Speaker 6: That's like, I agree, but she's in by all these
- 18:00Speaker 6: pundits to say. He has nice to talk to people.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Very good chief of staff. But she's too old school,
- 18:06Speaker 2: old fashioned. This is the kind of thing a president
- 18:09Speaker 2: went to in nineteen eighty six. It made sense.
- 18:11Speaker 6: It's not the age of Reagan anymore.
- 18:12Speaker 2: You're right, yeah, it's too old fashioned. You know, thanks
- 18:15Speaker 2: for calling Mike. The fact that she's so old school
- 18:18Speaker 2: old fashioned. It's a very good thing when it comes
- 18:21Speaker 2: to running the office and discipline and but when it
- 18:23Speaker 2: comes to media communication, I think he realized last night
- 18:27Speaker 2: don't listen to her on that stuff. Let's go to
- 18:30Speaker 2: Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 18:32Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark, Good morning man, Mark. I'd like to
- 18:35Speaker 7: wish you a merry Christmas and a happy twenty twenty sixth,
- 18:39Speaker 7: and to thank the Woor family and staff for another
- 18:44Speaker 7: great year of radio and especially your technical crew is great.
- 18:51Speaker 7: The fade ins and fade outs a flawless unlike the
- 18:55Speaker 7: radio station up to Dow.
- 18:57Speaker 2: You know, most people glad you said that, most people
- 18:59Speaker 2: don't pay attention to the fadens the man.
- 19:03Speaker 7: Yeah, your staff is really on the other station up
- 19:07Speaker 7: the dial. I'm not gonna measure it.
- 19:09Speaker 2: But you can't. You know. See, we like we like
- 19:13Speaker 2: to use a lot of contemporary music. Every other station
- 19:15Speaker 2: right here, it's all songs from nineteen eighty three. It's
- 19:18Speaker 2: all old stuff.
- 19:19Speaker 7: But not only that, Mark, they're faded in and outs,
- 19:22Speaker 7: and a lot of times they get cross talk, they
- 19:24Speaker 7: get two programs playing at once. I mean, you're going,
- 19:28Speaker 7: what am I in the twilight zone? Mark? That being said,
- 19:32Speaker 7: I know you're going to be attending a lot of
- 19:34Speaker 7: parties which you already have been attending, and I know
- 19:38Speaker 7: you're gonna probably speak to President Trump, will maybe even
- 19:41Speaker 7: go party which where President Trump friends in Italy that
- 19:47Speaker 7: sent me a package.
- 19:49Speaker 2: First, what do you mean they sent me a package,
- 19:53Speaker 2: a package.
- 19:54Speaker 7: For Midaly and they told me they couldn't even put
- 19:56Speaker 7: all the stuff in there that they wanted because of.
- 19:58Speaker 2: The kind of package.
- 20:01Speaker 7: So anyway, Mark, I can't get so anyway, I'm told
- 20:05Speaker 7: that it's being held up for customs. Mark boy put
- 20:09Speaker 7: in a good word for me. You know what I'm saying.
- 20:12Speaker 2: You know, if I were customs, if something came from
- 20:14Speaker 2: your friends in Italy to you, I I want to
- 20:17Speaker 2: check that package too, you know, Come on, Mark, No, no,
- 20:20Speaker 2: well we'll see what we can do.
- 20:21Speaker 7: Well, hey, man, have a great vacation and you know,
- 20:25Speaker 7: you know, as Donald Trump would ride at the bottom. No,
- 20:29Speaker 7: you are the best, and thanks for a great great.
- 20:34Speaker 2: You're one of the stars of the show. People come
- 20:36Speaker 2: up to me all the time though you're one of
- 20:37Speaker 2: the first things they mentioned.
- 20:39Speaker 7: Well, it's all it's all because of you and the
- 20:43Speaker 7: wo R family and uh and your staff. I wanted
- 20:47Speaker 7: once again, your crew did the best, Man, Mark.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Vincent, thanks for calling Hey, when we come back. Jimmy Fayler,
- 20:54Speaker 2: he's on every night here at nine o'clock, excellent show.
- 20:57Speaker 2: We'll talk to the great comedian Jimmy Faylor. Next on WRS.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Mister New York, Mark Simone on seven ten wor Well,
- 21:08Speaker 2: Jimmy Phyla, the great comedian, the excellent talk show host.
- 21:12Speaker 2: You can hear him now every night at nine o'clock
- 21:14Speaker 2: right here on WR every night nine to midnight. Hey,
- 21:18Speaker 2: and don't miss his Saturday night show, Fox News Channel.
- 21:21Speaker 2: It's the best late night talk show, finest monologue in TV.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Saturday nights at ten Fox News Channel A w R
- 21:28Speaker 2: every weeknight here at nine. Jimmy Fayla, How you doing?
- 21:32Speaker 4: I'm doing?
- 21:33Speaker 7: Man?
- 21:33Speaker 5: This is it last week of normalcy before Mom Donnie
- 21:38Speaker 5: takes over.
- 21:39Speaker 8: Isn't that crazy?
- 21:41Speaker 2: Two weeks from today he actually has an inauguration day.
- 21:44Speaker 7: Yeah, that's that's.
- 21:45Speaker 5: The exact day. So, as I was explaining this to
- 21:48Speaker 5: people from out of town, I'm like, you know, you
- 21:50Speaker 5: still get sidewalk stands till about the thirty first, but
- 21:54Speaker 5: then they go home and you get Mom Donnie asking
- 21:56Speaker 5: for money instead.
- 21:57Speaker 8: It's just it's just we just changed seasons.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Just like that.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Oh god, hey, I feel all fat and bloated, and
- 22:04Speaker 2: these I can't go to like four hundred Christmas parties
- 22:07Speaker 2: in two weeks. Do you have the same problem?
- 22:09Speaker 9: Oh, buddy, it is so bad because the food right now, Like,
- 22:15Speaker 9: I'm not even halfway into what I'm what I'm committed
- 22:18Speaker 9: to eat between now and Christmas, and I already have
- 22:21Speaker 9: the wardrobe department chasing me with an ozembic needle.
- 22:25Speaker 5: So I'm going a tough spot here, Simon. Like calling
- 22:30Speaker 5: sick to a Christmas party, I've never done that before.
- 22:32Speaker 2: No thousands of my one buffet. You know I didn't.
- 22:35Speaker 2: I forgot you could actually eat sitting down. I didn't
- 22:37Speaker 2: even know you could do that anymore. So, hey, what
- 22:41Speaker 2: do you think of this? The Oscar? It's been on
- 22:42Speaker 2: television for a million years, ABC for decades. It's going
- 22:46Speaker 2: to YouTube. What does that signify?
- 22:50Speaker 5: Well, we always knew the show was too long, and
- 22:55Speaker 5: know how they would say it was too long, and
- 22:57Speaker 5: they're worried.
- 22:57Speaker 8: About advertising and stuff.
- 23:00Speaker 5: I don't know that anybody even cares like they have
- 23:03Speaker 5: fallen so far in prestige, Like you think about that? Okay,
- 23:07Speaker 5: Like the oscars used to be like the classiest, biggest
- 23:10Speaker 5: spectacle in the history of the of the country every
- 23:13Speaker 5: year like that was the night, like the one night.
- 23:15Speaker 5: Now they're gonna be co headlining YouTube with a dog
- 23:18Speaker 5: riding a skateboard, you know, some guy teaching a blow
- 23:22Speaker 5: up doll how to salsedan. Like it doesn't seem like
- 23:26Speaker 5: a fall in.
- 23:27Speaker 8: Class, a little bit a fall from grace maybe.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Well yeah, but you're right. They used to have to.
- 23:32Speaker 2: You know, they were yelling to wrap it up by
- 23:33Speaker 2: eleven o'clock for the news YouTube. They can take five
- 23:36Speaker 2: hours if they want so, it'll it'll, yep, totally get
- 23:39Speaker 2: out of control. So New Year's Eves that's the worst
- 23:44Speaker 2: night of the year, isn't it. It's a really annoying night.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Oh buddy.
- 23:48Speaker 8: If you are driving a cab, which is how I
- 23:51Speaker 8: started out.
- 23:51Speaker 4: In New Year's Eve, everyone should do it once.
- 23:54Speaker 8: It's like going to watch the ball drop in Husker.
- 23:56Speaker 5: You should do it once, you know, if you could,
- 23:57Speaker 5: you could do it once.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Nobody I know does it twice.
- 23:59Speaker 8: I don't know a cab driver who has.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Driven multiple New Year's eaves.
- 24:03Speaker 5: They've driven one, okay, and they've seen everything you'd expect.
- 24:07Speaker 4: To see.
- 24:07Speaker 5: Okay, it's like a well dressed Saint Patrick's Day parade,
- 24:11Speaker 5: you know, Saint Patrick State Parade. All of my drunk
- 24:13Speaker 5: relatives come into the city marching the parade. Then they're
- 24:15Speaker 5: hammered and screaming and breaking up and crying. And that's
- 24:18Speaker 5: pretty much New Year's Eve. Yeah, except you're trapped in
- 24:22Speaker 5: a small vehicle with him instead of a bar with
- 24:24Speaker 5: a jukebox.
- 24:24Speaker 8: It's intense in.
- 24:26Speaker 2: New York c when you make more money, when you
- 24:28Speaker 2: make a fortune on New Years Eve as a cab driver, Yeah.
- 24:31Speaker 5: But you wind up giving half of it to the
- 24:33Speaker 5: guy at the garage who has to clean all the
- 24:35Speaker 5: substances out of the back.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Okay, Hey, Joe Biden, he seems to be showing up
- 24:42Speaker 2: in public more and more, making more speechies. What the
- 24:45Speaker 2: hell why is he suddenly out in public everywhere?
- 24:48Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 24:49Speaker 5: I don't like, I don't get what's going on with that,
- 24:51Speaker 5: because you know, we watched him last week when he said.
- 24:54Speaker 8: The United States of Americ got it?
- 24:56Speaker 4: Do you remember that again?
- 24:56Speaker 5: With the United States of America got it? And you
- 24:59Speaker 5: know I always tell you this. He makes me feel
- 25:02Speaker 5: bad for the sign language interpreter, you know, because that
- 25:07Speaker 5: guy finally got a break after four years of having
- 25:10Speaker 5: to make up sign Now Biden's back out on the
- 25:13Speaker 5: road inventing words. Look, if you're the sign language interpreter guy,
- 25:16Speaker 5: you don't have a symbol for AMERAGTA.
- 25:19Speaker 7: You know.
- 25:21Speaker 2: That's a good point. Hey, Trump's President Trump's speech last night.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't think he's going his best
- 25:26Speaker 2: reading off the teleprompter, do you no?
- 25:30Speaker 5: And it was funny because he delivered the speech like
- 25:32Speaker 5: he had ten thousand people screaming in an arena, which
- 25:35Speaker 5: made it look.
- 25:36Speaker 4: A little weird in a dry room.
- 25:39Speaker 5: You know, he was kind of like overperforming.
- 25:41Speaker 4: And somebody was telling.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Me, well, like, well, you don't understand the networks only
- 25:44Speaker 5: gave him a fifteen minutes. I get that, but it
- 25:47Speaker 5: doesn't mean just because you have fifteen minutes, you need
- 25:50Speaker 5: to squeeze in two hours and ten.
- 25:51Speaker 8: Minutes worth of material like he was.
- 25:54Speaker 5: You know, that was a runway stream and he made
- 25:57Speaker 5: a lot of good points, but like you don't necessar
- 26:00Speaker 5: early processed them all when they come at you that quick.
- 26:02Speaker 5: So the one thing I took away from it though, is,
- 26:05Speaker 5: as I was saying on Twitter, he gave money to
- 26:07Speaker 5: the troops.
- 26:08Speaker 4: So we've got a.
- 26:09Speaker 5: President who gives money to the troops. The last president
- 26:12Speaker 5: gave drag shows to the troops. So I think we're
- 26:15Speaker 5: in a better place.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Hey. Also, he was missing all the bells and whistles.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Usually when you do a speech, you know, you have
- 26:20Speaker 2: all the cabinet around, you're shaking hands after you're done
- 26:23Speaker 2: or something like that, or like a little pregame. They
- 26:25Speaker 2: didn't do any of that, did they. Everybody else was gone.
- 26:27Speaker 5: Yeah, it was the state it was.
- 26:29Speaker 8: It was the state of the Union minus the Union.
- 26:33Speaker 5: But he he came out.
- 26:35Speaker 4: You know, he's very forceful.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Uh, and you know he made points. But the thing is,
- 26:41Speaker 5: it's we do one thing about Trump, like if it's
- 26:43Speaker 5: on his mind, it's on your television, it's on.
- 26:45Speaker 8: Your Twitter feed.
- 26:46Speaker 5: Like he doesn't necessarily have the bedside manner of like
- 26:50Speaker 5: good evening and happy holidays.
- 26:53Speaker 8: It literally opened with.
- 26:54Speaker 5: Like Joe Biden has dementia. He rupined the country. We
- 26:59Speaker 5: were about to I turned it around, and happy holidays,
- 27:03Speaker 5: thank you.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Hey, Dan Bungeeo ed Dan Bungino's leaving the FBI, And
- 27:10Speaker 2: I was saying, before I can understand you would know,
- 27:13Speaker 2: it's fun to do a TV show, it's fun to
- 27:15Speaker 2: do a radio show. Who would give that up to
- 27:16Speaker 2: go sit at a desk a FBI headquarters and it's
- 27:19Speaker 2: the most boring job.
- 27:20Speaker 5: Only you're not the only one who's asked yourself that question,
- 27:25Speaker 5: because you want to know what he probably was killing
- 27:27Speaker 5: him too, is you know when he was in the
- 27:29Speaker 5: podcast space, he could say whatever the hell he wanted,
- 27:33Speaker 5: none of it needed to be true. And you know
- 27:35Speaker 5: he was selling merch like Epstein didn't hang himself, Like
- 27:39Speaker 5: that's what he was doing. But then when you get
- 27:41Speaker 5: into that job.
- 27:42Speaker 4: You got to rein it in a little bit.
- 27:44Speaker 5: And it also sucks because things that you say can
- 27:48Speaker 5: be disproven, Like remember when he had to go on
- 27:50Speaker 5: TV and go I know I used to say he
- 27:53Speaker 5: didn't hang himself, but trust me, I saw the evidence
- 27:55Speaker 5: he hung himself. And what I loved about that video
- 27:58Speaker 5: is if you looked close, you could see the CIA
- 28:01Speaker 5: person pointing the gun at him from behind the curtain.
- 28:06Speaker 8: It's nice, nice the way they do that.
- 28:09Speaker 2: You know, but you know, all of our Fox buddies,
- 28:11Speaker 2: like I don't know, Sean Duffy, whoever, would you rather
- 28:13Speaker 2: be doing a TV show than the Transportation secretary meeting
- 28:17Speaker 2: with railroad union exit. Who the hell wants to do
- 28:19Speaker 2: that all day?
- 28:21Speaker 4: Yeah? Well, I would rather be.
- 28:22Speaker 8: Doing TV than anything because if I had a cabinet job, they.
- 28:24Speaker 5: Would run a background check and that'd be the end
- 28:27Speaker 5: of all of it. You know, my twenties who.
- 28:30Speaker 4: But I get it.
- 28:31Speaker 5: It's it's a cool thing for.
- 28:33Speaker 4: A minute, though, because there's the one for a minute.
- 28:34Speaker 8: A lot of people for a minute.
- 28:37Speaker 5: A lot of people who work in news don't want
- 28:39Speaker 5: to cover the story.
- 28:40Speaker 4: They want to be the story.
- 28:42Speaker 5: So if you get one of those jobs, for a
- 28:44Speaker 5: little while, you're the story. But then what you've come
- 28:47Speaker 5: to realize is, you know, being the story gets old.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's I think where we're at now.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Hey, Jimmy Faylor is on w o R every night.
- 28:56Speaker 2: It's an excellent show. It's very funny, entertaining, good formative
- 29:00Speaker 2: nine to midnight every weeknight. And what do you got
- 29:02Speaker 2: tonight on the show?
- 29:04Speaker 8: Oh, it is all going down.
- 29:05Speaker 5: We actually have the founder of the Manhattan Comedy Schools
- 29:09Speaker 5: who has been in stand up you know, he started
- 29:11Speaker 5: Caroline Networks down Gotham Comedy Club and we're coming to
- 29:14Speaker 5: talk comedy, actually comedy over the holidays and how it
- 29:18Speaker 5: can save you.
- 29:21Speaker 4: You don't get along with.
- 29:23Speaker 5: So it's kind of like we're doing an interview.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Yeah, America, Well we urge everybody to listen because all
- 29:28Speaker 2: of you who start telling jokes and think you're actually funny,
- 29:31Speaker 2: listen to professionals give you some guidance on how to
- 29:34Speaker 2: do it. That would be great.
- 29:36Speaker 8: You're going to charge you, man, it's the least we
- 29:39Speaker 8: could do. At least we could do.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Hey, listen tonight at nine. Also make sure you watch
- 29:44Speaker 2: He's Got the Best late night showing TV Saturday nights
- 29:46Speaker 2: at ten o'clock every Saturday night ten o'clock Fox News Show.
- 29:51Speaker 2: A little too early to know what you're going to
- 29:52Speaker 2: do Saturday night though, right.
- 29:54Speaker 5: Oh, I have a good idea of what's coming down
- 29:57Speaker 5: the pipe belt we have. This is a wild when
- 30:01Speaker 5: Neil deGrasse Tyson is coming on, which is a big
- 30:04Speaker 5: deal because it's not every day the guy who runs
- 30:07Speaker 5: this planetarium hangs out with the kids who got stoned
- 30:10Speaker 5: on the school trip to the planetarium.
- 30:12Speaker 4: You know what I mean.
- 30:14Speaker 8: It's a nice touch, but we're excited.
- 30:17Speaker 4: It's gonna be a good one.
- 30:18Speaker 2: All right, that's Saturday Nights at ten. And also he's
- 30:20Speaker 2: got the best, the funniest monologue in TV Saturday Nights
- 30:23Speaker 2: at ten Jimmy Fayla and a very funny entertaining show
- 30:26Speaker 2: tonight nine o'clock on w R Jimmy Fayla. Great to
- 30:32Speaker 2: talk to you every week. Have a great Christmas. I'll
- 30:34Speaker 2: talk to you in the new year.
- 30:36Speaker 8: Damn right, ho ho home my man.
- 30:38Speaker 2: I'll see you soon, all right, take care. Yeah, I'll
- 30:40Speaker 2: be off for two weeks. Actually I'm off tomorrow. Ken
- 30:43Speaker 2: Rizzotto be here tomorrow, but for the next two weeks
- 30:45Speaker 2: after that, the final two weeks of the year, Curtis
- 30:48Speaker 2: Sliwa will be filling in for me. That should be interesting.
- 30:53Speaker 2: And it's that time everybody, it's not just me, you know.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Down the hall, Elvis Durant taking two weeks off over there,
- 30:58Speaker 2: Charlemagne taking two weeks. It's the Christmas break. Everybody kind
- 31:02Speaker 2: of disappears. But we'll have the best fill in. Curtis
- 31:05Speaker 2: Sliwa will be here every day ten to noon on
- 31:08Speaker 2: seven to ten WR.
- 31:11Speaker 5: Here's more mar Simone on seven ten wor Well.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna be off for the rest of the year.
- 31:20Speaker 2: I'll be back in January Christmas break. So but you
- 31:26Speaker 2: can follow me on Twitter, you can follow me on Facebook, Instagram,
- 31:32Speaker 2: all that stuff. We'll keep in touch that way, and
- 31:36Speaker 2: that'll be good. Let's go one more thing before the
- 31:39Speaker 2: day is done. I got an mc A luncheon for
- 31:42Speaker 2: the police athletically. George Pataki will be our speaker. Great,
- 31:46Speaker 2: you know, thinking about this, he was the last great governor. Well,
- 31:50Speaker 2: David Patterson was a great governor, but I mean really
- 31:52Speaker 2: was George Pataki the greatest governor of our recent lifetime.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Think about it. He just left when he wanted to leave.
- 32:01Speaker 2: He decided to move on and after three terms it
- 32:03Speaker 2: didn't run again. David Patterson decided, you want to do
- 32:06Speaker 2: something else, didn't run again. Outside of that, the last
- 32:09Speaker 2: couple of governors left with the police chasing them, remember
- 32:13Speaker 2: Spitzer Cuomo, all like driven out of office and scandal.
- 32:17Speaker 2: So our last great governor Pataki and always there to
- 32:21Speaker 2: help out with the charity's stuff. What else Christmas parties, Yeah,
- 32:26Speaker 2: there's a few more of them. I can't take any
- 32:27Speaker 2: more Christmas parties. Oh my god, that you just overeat
- 32:31Speaker 2: and overeat and overeat and over and then you work
- 32:34Speaker 2: here and every time you turn around there's six more
- 32:36Speaker 2: buffets out there down there. Just can't take it anymore. Anyway,
- 32:43Speaker 2: I want you to have a great holiday. I'll be
- 32:45Speaker 2: back right after New Year's Day and Curtis will be
- 32:49Speaker 2: filling in for two weeks. Ken Rizotto tomorrow, but then
- 32:52Speaker 2: two weeks if Curtisy were filling in. So be listening
- 32:55Speaker 2: and I'll talk to you in the new year. Thanks
- 32:57Speaker 2: for everything, Take care, w O. R.
