Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: Welcome to brief Re, says I'm Michael Foot. Today we're
- 0:10Speaker 1: going to talk about all the dick picks Melissa's received
- 0:13Speaker 1: the Michael Jackson trial separately, a video shoot that I
- 0:17Speaker 1: was really unprepared for. We're going to get into the
- 0:20Speaker 1: Epstein investigation with the New York Times, and then we're
- 0:24Speaker 1: going to talk about the things y'all are sending us
- 0:27Speaker 1: in the DMS. We got to put a stop to
- 0:29Speaker 1: it almost. I'm sorry mom, Mom, No this is not
- 0:33Speaker 1: the episode for you.
- 0:36Speaker 2: But so you're just going to leave?
- 0:38Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I have no problem. We're both. I'm a Taurus.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I have no problem cutting you out of my life.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Me neither not you just people in jo No no, no,
- 0:46Speaker 1: I hear you watch your mouth in the comments.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Feeling No, I'm not.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I'm welcome back to brief Re, says everybody. It's a
- 1:02Speaker 1: peak summer season. Were you at the beach this weekend?
- 1:05Speaker 2: No? You like the beach though, I love the beach,
- 1:08Speaker 2: and we just didn't go. And I don't know why.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I think there was in the state sale. There wasn't, guys.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I sent Melissa a video about estate sales about like
- 1:21Speaker 1: the best ones in New York and I was like, Oh,
- 1:23Speaker 1: we should check these out. There would be fun. We'll
- 1:24Speaker 1: do like a YouTube done that. She said she's been
- 1:26Speaker 1: to all of them.
- 1:27Speaker 2: No, I haven't been to all of them. I've been
- 1:29Speaker 2: to the one and the one in Chelsea, and it's
- 1:33Speaker 2: hit or miss. And I think because.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I've actually been to that one in Chelsea.
- 1:37Speaker 2: It's very popular and I feel like the stuff is
- 1:40Speaker 2: kind of picked over and overpriced.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I mean.
- 1:46Speaker 2: But I'm down to go to the other ones.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Isn't it more like flat Iron the one that we're
- 1:50Speaker 1: talking about in the garage. Oh no, I'm talking about
- 1:53Speaker 1: the one that's like in the empty parking lot. It's
- 1:55Speaker 1: more like flat Iron. Do you remember when there was
- 1:57Speaker 1: the Chelsea bomber? Remember when that happened at the bomb
- 2:00Speaker 1: went off? My favorite comment on Twitter was actually that's
- 2:04Speaker 1: flat Iron.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Not the bombing, not the people who got got But
- 2:11Speaker 2: actually no one was.
- 2:13Speaker 1: The comments were like, it's not Chelsea.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Actually, actually actually it's the flat Iron.
- 2:20Speaker 1: All the loyaltors in New York were like, actually that's
- 2:23Speaker 1: flat Iron.
- 2:24Speaker 2: You know they do this thing like realtors. I mean,
- 2:28Speaker 2: and I get it. You know, you got to make
- 2:29Speaker 2: a book somehow, but like they keep on making up
- 2:32Speaker 2: new neighborhoods or like saying things like when I lived
- 2:36Speaker 2: in Brooklyn, I lived in Flatbush hardcore flat Bush right,
- 2:40Speaker 2: and the realtor said to me, he was just like, yes,
- 2:44Speaker 2: Kensington adjacent. Excuse me, stop it.
- 2:46Speaker 1: No, they're like little Croatia.
- 2:48Speaker 2: No you can't call it.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, little Chuching, like no, we can't know.
- 2:53Speaker 2: It's weird, and it's like, you know.
- 2:56Speaker 1: What they're doing now? I was, I was for I
- 2:59Speaker 1: think during the pandemic. Brad and I were bored, so
- 3:01Speaker 1: we just went looking at apartments to see if what
- 3:03Speaker 1: we had was, you know, if we could do better.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Turns out we couldn't. Much like redownloading the dating apps,
- 3:12Speaker 1: you can't do better.
- 3:13Speaker 2: You can't do better. It doesn't It doesn't mean you
- 3:16Speaker 2: met bred on an app. Yeah we met on OKQ,
- 3:19Speaker 2: did you?
- 3:20Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 3:20Speaker 2: Wonder? And I met on an app too, But so
- 3:23Speaker 2: back then, it's been such a long time. I remember
- 3:25Speaker 2: that it wasn't even an app. It was like on
- 3:27Speaker 2: your computer.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Okay, it may have been yeah, yeah, only fish j date.
- 3:34Speaker 2: It wasn't JDA's, it wasn't Ja's. I can't remember anymore.
- 3:38Speaker 2: And I will tell you I don't know if men
- 3:41Speaker 2: are still doing this, but when I was on the
- 3:45Speaker 2: apps or whatever, one of the things that I would like,
- 3:49Speaker 2: maybe cut somebody uf immediately is that men were always
- 3:52Speaker 2: sending dick pics. It was the most annoying thing in
- 3:55Speaker 2: the world. And it was like, and I just what
- 3:58Speaker 2: I really wonder about that is.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Way to flex, Melissa. Everyone sending men must be nice.
- 4:03Speaker 2: But what I really wonder about that is has that
- 4:07Speaker 2: worked for anybody? And I'm going to but straight women
- 4:14Speaker 2: I understand, I understand, But for for straight men who
- 4:18Speaker 2: are looking for straight women, I would like any woman,
- 4:22Speaker 2: because there's not a woman that I know where.
- 4:24Speaker 1: The bra clasp right in the front came right off.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Just right off the pantieswhere it's always and it's always
- 4:33Speaker 2: just like what And also you're proud of that.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Also, whatever happened to Hello, whatever happened to good morning?
- 4:43Speaker 2: Well, it was like, oh, hey, how are you dick pic? Like?
- 4:48Speaker 2: So one of the reasons why I decided to go
- 4:50Speaker 2: out with Andre was because he did not send He
- 4:52Speaker 2: did not send me a and I was like, all right,
- 4:55Speaker 2: not being that low, I mean, the bar was pretty low.
- 5:00Speaker 1: If you, if you manage to not unbuckle your pants
- 5:02Speaker 1: and take a photo, I'll go out with you.
- 5:05Speaker 2: And he was seem like a nice guy. Like it
- 5:07Speaker 2: was like him and maybe two other guys that were
- 5:10Speaker 2: like just nice.
- 5:13Speaker 1: It was that those are your dms, Those are my dms.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I will say, just for the record, it's I think
- 5:18Speaker 1: it's pretty much the exact opposite for the gays. If
- 5:21Speaker 1: you're using too many words and not enough dick pics,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I think that's how people end up getting blocked. But
- 5:27Speaker 1: you can clock me in the comments if you're if
- 5:29Speaker 1: you're on grinder, if you're living that truth. Let's get
- 5:33Speaker 1: into a sidebar.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Let's let's get let's get into a sidebar.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You know what, no one does anymore? Tell me whatever
- 5:40Speaker 1: happened to the mail? Just mail some photos. I love
- 5:45Speaker 1: getting letters.
- 5:46Speaker 2: In the mail well because we don't ever get let
- 5:48Speaker 2: me tell you something. I feel like our male person
- 5:51Speaker 2: must hate us because we never go get the mail
- 5:54Speaker 2: so like and it's jam full of like credit card offers, sure,
- 5:59Speaker 2: and also the letters from the letters from the d
- 6:03Speaker 2: m B tell me that I owe them money for
- 6:07Speaker 2: but it's like so I'm like, oh god, we haven't
- 6:09Speaker 2: checked it in like two weeks. But yeah, but I
- 6:13Speaker 2: we never check our mail because all of our bills
- 6:17Speaker 2: are online. Yeah, we do everything online.
- 6:20Speaker 1: So now the dog is so old. There are stairs
- 6:23Speaker 1: by the mailbox, so I take him down the back,
- 6:25Speaker 1: which is a ramp. Just it's not that he needs it,
- 6:28Speaker 1: it's more for his ego and dignity. I don't want
- 6:32Speaker 1: him to feel like, you know, he's faced with the
- 6:35Speaker 1: challenge of the stairs and he's like, you know, I
- 6:38Speaker 1: want him to have that little boots, I will say.
- 6:41Speaker 2: So, Arthur Weasley is a tripod and sometimes he misses
- 6:46Speaker 2: the landing. Oh, and I feel like if he hears
- 6:49Speaker 2: us laugh, because sometimes we do know, he's like he's
- 6:54Speaker 2: embarrassed and he like stalks off because he limps away.
- 6:58Speaker 1: His Michelle Kwan at the Olympics. He just didn't nail it.
- 7:01Speaker 2: He just didn't nail it.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Wow. He's so cute though.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I love him so much.
- 7:06Speaker 1: The way and he goes for it. I don't think
- 7:09Speaker 1: he knows he has three legs.
- 7:11Speaker 2: I think he knows he has three legs, but I
- 7:13Speaker 2: think that his ego is such that he feels like
- 7:17Speaker 2: he can land anything because he's Arthur Weasley.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Right, yes, yes, yes, so, but because of that, I
- 7:22Speaker 1: don't go past the mailbox and I'll just leave it
- 7:25Speaker 1: and I'll be like, Brad, did you get the mail?
- 7:27Speaker 1: And then I'll get mad at him for not getting
- 7:29Speaker 1: the mail?
- 7:29Speaker 2: Why are you getting mad at him? Though?
- 7:31Speaker 1: Because that's my right. That is my right as a husband.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I'm allowed to get mad at my partner.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Oh. I get mad Andre all the time, but like,
- 7:39Speaker 2: but not for Oh.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I'm allowed to pick a fight just for attention. I
- 7:42Speaker 1: think that's my right.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Well that's that's not just your right, that's your personality.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Yes, this is your algorithm as showing. Let's talk about
- 7:50Speaker 1: all the weird, wild, freaky things that come upon our feed.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Not to be like the white friend that asks you
- 7:57Speaker 1: about Michael Jackson, But can I ask you what the
- 7:59Speaker 1: fuck is going out with Michael? I don't get it.
- 8:02Speaker 1: There's like some sort of like drama about Michael Jackson.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I am completely unaware. Okay, sorry, I've disappointed Youah well, sorry.
- 8:08Speaker 1: To be the person who asked the only Yeah, yeah.
- 8:10Speaker 2: And I'm sorry that I've disappointed you. What's going on?
- 8:13Speaker 1: I guess there's drama with the movie Michael Jackson movie.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I've heard the dram about the movie. Yeah, people are
- 8:19Speaker 2: not happy.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Well, I guess it was like propaganda the movie that
- 8:23Speaker 1: his estate basically created this propaganda. The movie because because
- 8:29Speaker 1: for the pr, well, because it ends right before the allegations.
- 8:34Speaker 1: The story of the movie is like, we're done in
- 8:38Speaker 1: the early two thousands, that was it, okay, and it's
- 8:41Speaker 1: right before shit goes down in court. So people are like,
- 8:45Speaker 1: what's what's up with that?
- 8:46Speaker 2: I mean, the thing is, when you're going to do
- 8:48Speaker 2: a biopic, it's the good, the bad, and the ugly, right,
- 8:51Speaker 2: But if it's the estate that's sort of doing the
- 8:55Speaker 2: movie and there are people who count on the estate
- 8:59Speaker 2: to do well, right, the bad pr is kind of
- 9:02Speaker 2: going to suddenly taking money out of my pocket for time.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Yeah, to cut, Yeah, we have to cut the ugly. Yeah.
- 9:09Speaker 1: So the actual trial, Like people, now that the movie's
- 9:11Speaker 1: coming out, people are revisiting what happened at the trial.
- 9:13Speaker 2: I'm telling you, I'm telling you again, Michael, and I'm
- 9:17Speaker 2: you guys out there also, please find the e reenactments
- 9:22Speaker 2: of the trial with the fake Michael Jackson sitting there
- 9:25Speaker 2: rolling his eyes and shaking his head. It is fake
- 9:30Speaker 2: but it's so. But the thing is one of those
- 9:33Speaker 2: things that you're watching. You're like, what am I looking at?
- 9:35Speaker 2: Is this?
- 9:37Speaker 1: If you're a casting agent and you want me in
- 9:39Speaker 1: a reenactment of any sort of trial, please cast me,
- 9:42Speaker 1: because I would load as a dream as a role,
- 9:45Speaker 1: is it? I would love to be murder victim. I
- 9:49Speaker 1: would love to be trial attorney casting.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Hold on, you can't be the murder victim either.
- 9:54Speaker 1: I want to be both.
- 9:55Speaker 2: No, but if you're the murder victim, you're dead. You're
- 9:58Speaker 2: not going to be at the two.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Different Yes, cast as cost me as the lawyer in
- 10:04Speaker 1: OJ's trial. Let me be, Let me be Jenner, Let
- 10:10Speaker 1: me Kardashian.
- 10:15Speaker 2: I was like, you know what's really funny. One of
- 10:19Speaker 2: my mom always loves this. So Robert Kardashian Senior was
- 10:24Speaker 2: one of the attorneys for O. J. Simpson.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Wait, God, that's why I want to be Costo.
- 10:30Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying.
- 10:33Speaker 2: My mom's favorite part of the whole thing. She said
- 10:35Speaker 2: that she really feels strongly that all the attorneys knew
- 10:39Speaker 2: that he had done it right and they didn't think
- 10:42Speaker 2: that he was going to win. But when you look
- 10:44Speaker 2: at Robert Kardashian's faith when he's not guilty, he looks shocked.
- 10:50Speaker 2: He's like, okay, all you have to say, and my
- 10:55Speaker 2: mom my, mom, I want to say this was it
- 10:58Speaker 2: like she recorded it somehow and you would like playing.
- 11:03Speaker 1: She's taping over your dance for yeah, And I was like.
- 11:07Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no no, and she's right, She's right.
- 11:12Speaker 2: He looks like he's like okay, and then he fixes
- 11:16Speaker 2: his face.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I've had to swallow it down in court a few
- 11:19Speaker 1: times because either something is happening, someone's going off, there's
- 11:23Speaker 1: surprise evidence, a witness does the absolute wrong thing, and
- 11:28Speaker 1: I'm like, like, I do have a It's like a
- 11:31Speaker 1: Looney tune. It's like when Tom and Jerry won, the
- 11:34Speaker 1: finger gets just like the mouse trap on the finger.
- 11:38Speaker 2: That's when things like that happen. That's when my face
- 11:40Speaker 2: kniece comes into play.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I get very anxious to do because the beta blockers
- 11:45Speaker 1: don't hit that fast, like you have to anticipate. So yeah,
- 11:50Speaker 1: it's and it's hard, like I wait, didn't I tell
- 11:53Speaker 1: you this? Okay, let's get into it.
- 11:55Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:55Speaker 1: So I've been traveling a lot for these trials. Yeah,
- 11:59Speaker 1: and I sometimes and maybe half awake on the plane,
- 12:03Speaker 1: answering emails or text messages. And so this guy dms
- 12:06Speaker 1: me and his name is set will Free. It's Will
- 12:09Speaker 1: Wilfree Arc. He's like this YouTuber. I love him, didn't
- 12:13Speaker 1: totally know who he was. He's more for like I
- 12:15Speaker 1: think the younger dude, Set much younger than me. And
- 12:18Speaker 1: he's like, Hey, I want to like hire you to
- 12:21Speaker 1: do this video. It'll be so much fun. We'll shoot
- 12:23Speaker 1: it in Brooklyn. And I'm like great. Like I was
- 12:25Speaker 1: on a say Yes to Everything kind of tour, so
- 12:29Speaker 1: i said yes, sight unseen. He's like, we're going to
- 12:30Speaker 1: have you be like the defense lawyer for like a
- 12:32Speaker 1: bunch of kids. And I'm like, oh great. He's like,
- 12:34Speaker 1: you'll be defense.
- 12:36Speaker 2: This is play acting, not like an actual Okay, go ahead.
- 12:39Speaker 1: And so he's like it's for my YouTube channel. I'm
- 12:41Speaker 1: like great, sounds like actually really a lot of fun.
- 12:43Speaker 1: I love signing up for like weird little like bookings
- 12:46Speaker 1: or whatever just to just to like kind of like
- 12:49Speaker 1: break up the actual court work. And so I'm thinking, oh,
- 12:53Speaker 1: it'll be like cafeteria courtroom and like the principal will
- 12:56Speaker 1: be there and I'll defend like the kid who stole
- 12:58Speaker 1: the lunch money. That's what I'm imagining. And so he's like,
- 13:02Speaker 1: all right, meet me at the school in Brooklyn. I'm like, great,
- 13:05Speaker 1: I go there. I assume they've like it's a pretty
- 13:09Speaker 1: It's actually it was kind of a bigger production than
- 13:11Speaker 1: I thought for just a DM on Instagram, but he's
- 13:14Speaker 1: got a really big following, so it was an actual,
- 13:16Speaker 1: like set production. Anyway, He's like, hired these kids. This
- 13:20Speaker 1: is going to be great. And he's like, all right,
- 13:22Speaker 1: come with me out back to the soccer field. And
- 13:25Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, oh, maybe I'm like the ref like
- 13:28Speaker 1: anytime someone does something wrong on the field, I defend
- 13:32Speaker 1: them and it will be like a funny sketch kind
- 13:34Speaker 1: of video. He told me like this is a comedy.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I'm like great. So we start filming. We're riffing, we're
- 13:39Speaker 1: having a chat, we're having a good time.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Are there kids around a bunch.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Of like ten twelve year old kids on the soccer field.
- 13:45Speaker 1: They're like intense soccer players. Okay, like Brooklyn kids who
- 13:50Speaker 1: play soccer don't fuck around. So we're rolling in. He says, okay,
- 13:56Speaker 1: like this is Michael. He's a defense attorney. We hired
- 13:59Speaker 1: this defense tourney to sort of, uh, you know, defend,
- 14:03Speaker 1: and I.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Was like, okay, defend who against what?
- 14:06Speaker 1: Then he hands me clubs. He says, we hired a
- 14:08Speaker 1: defense attorney to defend the goal. And I actually because
- 14:14Speaker 1: I was answering this on the plane, I booked it
- 14:17Speaker 1: while I was. It was like right after a trial
- 14:19Speaker 1: that day. So I'm in a full suit on a
- 14:23Speaker 1: soccer fields.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Though kind of funny.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Oh, it's maybe for a great video. I did not
- 14:29Speaker 1: know that I was the joke. Sure, I thought the
- 14:33Speaker 1: video was the joke.
- 14:35Speaker 2: And the kid kids will hurt your feelings?
- 14:39Speaker 1: Kid, Oh my god, yeah, oh my god.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:41Speaker 1: So he says, oh, all right, guys, if you wanted
- 14:44Speaker 1: like kind of be menacing towards Michael. One kid spits
- 14:46Speaker 1: on the ground.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Spit hm, he's read excuse me, and he's ready part
- 14:53Speaker 2: of New York State Attorneys. Sir doesn't care wailing.
- 14:58Speaker 1: So I want to say, it's maybe one hundred to
- 15:01Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty degrees outside, you know, like a
- 15:03Speaker 1: nice reason ye breezy, full sun, no shade, no water.
- 15:08Speaker 2: What are you wearing?
- 15:09Speaker 1: I'm in a full like full like I came from court.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I love this so much. Go ahead.
- 15:16Speaker 1: These kids are whaling the ball. It's going maybe two
- 15:19Speaker 1: hundred miles per hour. I want to say five hundred
- 15:22Speaker 1: miles per hour something like that at my face. Yeah
- 15:26Speaker 1: and so, and these gloves are they're worn out right,
- 15:28Speaker 1: We've got the holes in the gloves. And Michael, we're
- 15:33Speaker 1: going to do a pickup. Just kick the ball like
- 15:36Speaker 1: about a foot from his head so we can get
- 15:38Speaker 1: his reaction of Michael, So.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Do you wear your glasses too?
- 15:41Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 15:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't have contact. The kid is about to
- 15:46Speaker 1: get the ball, he says, just you know, I'm not.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I don't have that good of aim.
- 15:49Speaker 2: So you've been forewarned.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I've been forewarned. I said, what's the insurance on this production? Nothing?
- 15:55Speaker 2: Nothing.
- 15:56Speaker 1: And of course, of course everyone working on the video
- 16:00Speaker 1: is like the nicest person, sure, the loveliest person. They're like, Michael,
- 16:04Speaker 1: you just wanted to We just wanted to check in
- 16:05Speaker 1: on you. You seem to be panting really heavily. We
- 16:07Speaker 1: just wanted to check in on you. See if you
- 16:09Speaker 1: need anything any water?
- 16:10Speaker 2: I say, anybody give you any water?
- 16:12Speaker 1: I said, I need about ten years of soccer experiences.
- 16:15Speaker 2: When I played soccer.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Not once in my life. Have I played.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Soccer When you were a kid. What did you do?
- 16:21Speaker 1: Watched TV? No, and I was like, I don't know.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I was you didn't do anything.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I oh, I went to.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Dance okay, okay, Dan yeah, tennis Okay.
- 16:30Speaker 1: My parents put me in tennis club because because I
- 16:33Speaker 1: was like doing all the dance and art things, and
- 16:36Speaker 1: they were like, let's have them do a sport. So
- 16:37Speaker 1: I did tennis, but again, wasn't very good at it.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Okay, that's fine.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Quick like right after that.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Summer you did a thing.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but I was I'm thirty eight.
- 16:46Speaker 2: It was no, no, no, no, no no no. I understand.
- 16:48Speaker 2: But I wonder if sometimes I feel like people who
- 16:53Speaker 2: play muscle memory punk omn play, but if you never
- 16:56Speaker 2: played soccer, then it doesn't matter.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Yeah. I wasn't ready for them to be like, Michael,
- 16:59Speaker 1: we need a shot of you diving for the ball
- 17:02Speaker 1: and landing on your on your side, because I did.
- 17:05Speaker 1: I texted well the next day and I was like,
- 17:08Speaker 1: I am sore of course from brunt yeah impact, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I will say though, the fact that you're thirty eight
- 17:16Speaker 2: doesn't mean anything because the goalie for Cape Verde is
- 17:20Speaker 2: forty and has two other real jobs.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, I'm sure he's I'm not sure he's incredible.
- 17:26Speaker 1: They did say. They were like, Michael, you we thought
- 17:29Speaker 1: this was this was like the funniest one we've ever done,
- 17:31Speaker 1: because this is like a series they do, I guess
- 17:33Speaker 1: where they get someone who's it's like there to do
- 17:36Speaker 1: their real job in the an unorthodox setting. They were like,
- 17:40Speaker 1: we thought it was so funny when you asked if
- 17:41Speaker 1: the goalie could touch the ball with his hands. I said, oh, no,
- 17:45Speaker 1: I was serious. I didn't know that.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Oh no, when is it? Is it out?
- 17:50Speaker 1: We thought it was so funny when you were bleeding
- 17:52Speaker 1: from the face and crying. Yeah, it might be up
- 17:56Speaker 1: by the time this airs. I'm not sure if it's
- 17:57Speaker 1: out yet, but I'll send it to you when I
- 17:59Speaker 1: when I comes out. But I feel like they probably
- 18:02Speaker 1: filmed it for World Cup sort of purpose. So sure,
- 18:05Speaker 1: I don't know, but I didn't. I didn't watch.
- 18:09Speaker 2: I didn't watch any World Cup now one bit of it.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I mean it was on like if I went to no, wow,
- 18:15Speaker 1: was I I feel like, maybe, oh, you know what.
- 18:18Speaker 1: I was at a bar and it was playing, it
- 18:19Speaker 1: was playing and I watched for a little bit, but
- 18:22Speaker 1: I wasn't. You're looking at me like I just said
- 18:25Speaker 1: something really bad.
- 18:26Speaker 2: You didn't saything really bad. I think it's like one
- 18:28Speaker 2: of those things that I'm always surprised when somebody says,
- 18:31Speaker 2: I didn't watch any part of the Olympics, not one part.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean? It's it's not that
- 18:35Speaker 2: you need to be focused in. I'm not focused in.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I guess I did see some of it, but I
- 18:41Speaker 1: didn't know what was happening, and I didn't know what
- 18:43Speaker 1: the stakes were.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Okay, so do you know like this like cave Verde
- 18:47Speaker 2: for example. No, actually I didn't.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Know about cave Verde because that was like headlines.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a really big deal. So Andre's paternal side
- 18:54Speaker 2: of the family is that's like his ancestral.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Oh my god, I knew that, and you were always
- 18:59Speaker 1: thinking about going to this.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Yeah. But so now my fear is that now that
- 19:04Speaker 2: everybody everyone's.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Going to go, everyone's.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Going to go, and you know what, they're going to
- 19:10Speaker 2: ruin it? Yeah, because that's what happens when somebody discovers something.
- 19:14Speaker 2: People get their Columbus head on and they just go
- 19:16Speaker 2: and they feel they're going to go conquer it. And
- 19:18Speaker 2: now there's a hard wreck Cafe cape Verde, nobody wants.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah, you're going to be chopping and Cape Verde.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Come on. That happens to me when I went to
- 19:27Speaker 2: Costa Rica. Costa Rica has like I mean, on the
- 19:33Speaker 2: one hand, it's hopefully good for the economy. On the
- 19:36Speaker 2: other hand, that's not why I go places, is to
- 19:41Speaker 2: go to like a Senior Frogs. I hate that ship.
- 19:48Speaker 2: One time we were in Mexico and we were like, oh,
- 19:51Speaker 2: you know, we're looking for some place to go, and
- 19:53Speaker 2: the guy was just like, maybe would you like to
- 19:54Speaker 2: go to Senor Frogs. No, sir, I would not like
- 19:56Speaker 2: to go to Senor Fugs. I want to go where
- 19:58Speaker 2: you're going to eat? Are you going to It's in
- 20:00Speaker 2: your frogs?
- 20:01Speaker 1: People are eating, it's in your frogs. I thought it
- 20:03Speaker 1: was like shot girls.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Well, I think you can get like a chimuchanga, you
- 20:08Speaker 2: know what I mean.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Like it's like it's like that kind of there's like
- 20:10Speaker 1: a buffet at the strip club, like a breakfast, twenty
- 20:14Speaker 1: four hour breakfast at the.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Where are you in your life and you're having breakfast
- 20:18Speaker 2: at this to the club, what's going on. What's happening
- 20:20Speaker 2: in the Home's happened, what's happening in the home. You
- 20:26Speaker 2: have to tell people when that video of you diving
- 20:29Speaker 2: for soccer balls is going to happen.
- 20:31Speaker 1: I worry that they're going to see it before I do.
- 20:33Speaker 1: I worry that it's going to hit the feed.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I mean, so maybe you should try and get ahead
- 20:37Speaker 2: of it.
- 20:38Speaker 1: That's what people don't people. People will send me stuff
- 20:40Speaker 1: and that I've that I've filmed, and I think there
- 20:43Speaker 1: is this notion that if you're in a video or
- 20:45Speaker 1: you're part of another creator's video, that like, you have
- 20:49Speaker 1: a lot of agency in a the edit and b
- 20:51Speaker 1: when it drops. I oftentimes find I find out after
- 20:54Speaker 1: the family what the edit is and when it does edit.
- 20:57Speaker 2: I get why you wouldn't necessarily be a part of it,
- 20:59Speaker 2: but I would imagine that if you are in something
- 21:02Speaker 2: that they would say you, hey, Michael is going to
- 21:04Speaker 2: drop on January. I find out when I'm tagged interesting, Yeah,
- 21:08Speaker 2: that's interesting. I don't love that, no, because I just
- 21:13Speaker 2: it's not that I want to stop anything, but I
- 21:15Speaker 2: want to be ready.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I will say that there is a possibility they're telling
- 21:19Speaker 1: me and I'm just not seeing it.
- 21:21Speaker 2: I am more likely to believe that you're just not
- 21:24Speaker 2: paying attention because you you kind of I tell you
- 21:27Speaker 2: things and you're like half listening, which is fine because
- 21:31Speaker 2: I'm also half listening to you. So it's okay.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Our friendship is predicated upon misunderstanding. I'm always just learning
- 21:41Speaker 1: new things about you.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Yeah, you like that.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Yes, I told you you did.
- 21:49Speaker 1: When eight years ago I wasn't paying attention four times
- 21:54Speaker 1: you were going to scrapatizers for the week. I kept
- 21:56Speaker 1: calling you? Where are you in New Jersey?
- 21:59Speaker 3: That scraping?
- 22:00Speaker 2: Here is the amscraptizing.
- 22:04Speaker 1: This is under oath. Let's take a deep dive into
- 22:06Speaker 1: a topic. Let's talk about the New York Times Epstein investigation.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Very interesting.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Let's the New York Times investigated Epstein's death and they
- 22:15Speaker 1: ruled it as suicide.
- 22:16Speaker 2: So I wonder what, Remember, Leslie Dobson was on our show,
- 22:19Speaker 2: and she's very much convinced that he's still alive. I
- 22:23Speaker 2: wonder what we should ask her what she thinks. I
- 22:25Speaker 2: would love to know what she thinks.
- 22:27Speaker 1: She's yeah, she came in hot.
- 22:29Speaker 2: She no, she came in hot. And I you know,
- 22:32Speaker 2: I also understand there are things that she said that
- 22:36Speaker 2: I had never heard of before, right, So I'm like, oh, yeah,
- 22:38Speaker 2: that makes more sense.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:40Speaker 2: But what's interesting is that I know she had said
- 22:43Speaker 2: that she felt that he was still alive. My feeling
- 22:46Speaker 2: was when I heard that he had died, was that
- 22:48Speaker 2: he did not die by suicide, that he had somebody
- 22:50Speaker 2: had gotten him in the end. But so New York
- 22:53Speaker 2: Times interesting, what do you think? What do you think?
- 22:56Speaker 1: I still think I don't.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Just sports, right, just what do you think?
- 23:01Speaker 1: I'm allowed a crazy conspiracy theory? And I think mine
- 23:03Speaker 1: is that he's still alive. Like I think, I think
- 23:06Speaker 1: I've seen what wealth can do, like what wealth can
- 23:09Speaker 1: buy you, Like I've been around people of that sort
- 23:13Speaker 1: of like echelon and wealth bracket, and it just why
- 23:19Speaker 1: wouldn't he be able to bribe guards like this is
- 23:24Speaker 1: that's absolutely possible, you know, Like I yeah, I just
- 23:28Speaker 1: feel like with that kind of wealth, you can you
- 23:32Speaker 1: can bribe people Like I just I guess I'm cynical
- 23:36Speaker 1: enough or I've seen enough in this world to be like,
- 23:38Speaker 1: oh yeah, like officials are corruptible, Like that makes so
- 23:41Speaker 1: much sense to me.
- 23:42Speaker 2: No, I definitely think people are corruptible and especially if
- 23:45Speaker 2: you know you dangle enough money in front of somebody. Yeah,
- 23:50Speaker 2: a lot of people will do things. I think it's
- 23:53Speaker 2: just that I don't want to believe that any one
- 23:57Speaker 2: person is that powerful and I and I understand that
- 24:00Speaker 2: there are people who are. So I am still leaning
- 24:04Speaker 2: towards he's dead but was murdered, did not die by suit.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I think that is my like backup theory for sure,
- 24:11Speaker 1: because I think that when you look at someone like Epstein,
- 24:16Speaker 1: his whole business was predicated upon connections to wealthy people
- 24:21Speaker 1: and having dirt on them, right, Like the whole Epstein
- 24:26Speaker 1: Island sex crimes was part of it was to get
- 24:34Speaker 1: dirt on people who went to his island so that
- 24:37Speaker 1: he could blackmail.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Them so write them in his back pocket. You know
- 24:41Speaker 2: what I've never actually heard about Epstein is whether or
- 24:45Speaker 2: not he was actually good at what his job was
- 24:48Speaker 2: supposed to be, like the investment.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Part of it, right was that?
- 24:51Speaker 2: Do you know what I'm sa saying? He wasn't?
- 24:54Speaker 1: He was like a financier.
- 24:55Speaker 2: He's a financier. And I've never heard one way or
- 24:59Speaker 2: another good at.
- 25:00Speaker 1: That or bad at that? Right, Like it's like if
- 25:02Speaker 1: you are a financier what did you do if it
- 25:07Speaker 1: wasn't running this island? I mean, because a sex trafficking business.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Exactly does the cover story pan out for Epstein? Right?
- 25:17Speaker 4: That's why everybody thinks he's like an intelligence asset, because
- 25:20Speaker 4: he was like faking it in all these worlds where
- 25:22Speaker 4: he could like copy things that other people say, but
- 25:25Speaker 4: he wasn't regurgitating it the right way to somebody who
- 25:28Speaker 4: really knows, like science or exact financer.
- 25:32Speaker 1: So the thing about the New York Times investigation is
- 25:35Speaker 1: that your investigation is only as good as the evidence
- 25:38Speaker 1: you have access to. And we know time and time
- 25:40Speaker 1: again that the files are redacted, they're not comprehensive. We
- 25:45Speaker 1: have a recent judicial order to unseal them. The FBI
- 25:51Speaker 1: said they're not going to. So the notion that they've
- 25:56Speaker 1: seem to be leaning towards suicide based off what right
- 26:02Speaker 1: if you're if you've got ten percent of the information, Yeah, maybe,
- 26:04Speaker 1: but what's that other ninety.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I mean yeah, but yeah, I'm going back to thinking
- 26:09Speaker 2: about how this man made his money. He is from
- 26:12Speaker 2: modest means, yes, and was a math teacher.
- 26:17Speaker 1: At like an Upper east Side private school.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Dalton, I hope we can say that not,
- 26:21Speaker 2: but and then sort of pivoted to finance. So he
- 26:28Speaker 2: had to have made some money initially somehow, right, yes,
- 26:32Speaker 2: but that amount of wealth, how did he do that?
- 26:36Speaker 2: Is it just being able to blackmail people? Or was
- 26:38Speaker 2: it actually sort of kind of being good at what
- 26:40Speaker 2: he did. I'm just I don't know intelligence. I guess
- 26:43Speaker 2: so because he had because he knew all those people.
- 26:47Speaker 1: And yeah, I mean at some point, if you were
- 26:50Speaker 1: that well connected, right, don't you think some sort of
- 26:53Speaker 1: government agency is going to approach you to be an asset?
- 26:56Speaker 2: I never thought about that.
- 26:57Speaker 1: If you have access to all that money, all these people.
- 27:01Speaker 1: I mean, these are the people who run the world. Yeah, no,
- 27:03Speaker 1: I get that is quote unquote Little Black Book.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Yeah, so New York Times thinks he died by suicide.
- 27:09Speaker 2: You think that he's still alive.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Where's Elaine in all of this? Right? Like, she's still alive.
- 27:14Speaker 1: She's still in prison, she is. Yeah, she's not.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Going to say, I mean no, unless there's something in
- 27:21Speaker 2: it for her. They've already sort of sort of set
- 27:23Speaker 2: the stage for her to get out eventually, right Like there,
- 27:27Speaker 2: it's happening kind of slowly, but it's happening because if
- 27:29Speaker 2: she was not who she was and didn't have maybe
- 27:33Speaker 2: the information that she had, she'd be locked up. She'd
- 27:37Speaker 2: be locked up forever. Right, But because she is who
- 27:40Speaker 2: she is and had the associations that she had, they're
- 27:44Speaker 2: sort of like greasing the wheels to make it easier
- 27:47Speaker 2: for her to get out.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Yeah, do you think if we win in the primaries
- 27:51Speaker 1: and the next election that there is going to be
- 27:53Speaker 1: an actual investigation morephiles released?
- 27:59Speaker 2: Only if there are are. So let's just say Democrats
- 28:02Speaker 2: do really well. But if there are Democrats in those files,
- 28:05Speaker 2: and there must be, I don't think that it's I
- 28:08Speaker 2: don't think that only Republicans are like sexual deviance, right,
- 28:11Speaker 2: It's across the board. So I think if really high
- 28:15Speaker 2: level Democrats are in the files and they.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Know that, I know, well that's the tea. I mean,
- 28:22Speaker 1: obviously Trump is so involved in those files, right, we
- 28:26Speaker 1: know that he's mentioned thousands of times. We've got like
- 28:31Speaker 1: a poem he wrote Jeffrey Epstein on the cover of
- 28:33Speaker 1: The New Yorker, Like they were very close. The Biden
- 28:37Speaker 1: administration had the Epstein files. Like it wasn't like they
- 28:41Speaker 1: just got the Epstein files a year ago.
- 28:44Speaker 2: They had them.
- 28:45Speaker 1: We've done been having them, so there must have been
- 28:49Speaker 1: a reason why they didn't release the docs, right.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Yeah, who's in there? Yeah? Everybody exactly everybody. And I
- 28:57Speaker 2: think that that's the problem, is that there were so
- 29:01Speaker 2: many people in on it, yes, that if the whole
- 29:05Speaker 2: thing were to come out, I almost feel like parts
- 29:08Speaker 2: of the world would unravel.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Right right, Like, there's this guy on Instagram and TikTok.
- 29:14Speaker 1: He's going around reading parts of the Epstein files at
- 29:18Speaker 1: like different landmarks. He's like reading them at like Steve
- 29:22Speaker 1: Tish like his office to and and reading the emails
- 29:27Speaker 1: out loud and do making videos about it of Steve
- 29:32Speaker 1: Tish's emails to Epstein about you know, procuring a fifteen
- 29:38Speaker 1: year old Russian escort. I think he's like the first
- 29:40Speaker 1: guy getting sued for. Who's he's going to get in
- 29:44Speaker 1: trouble for.
- 29:45Speaker 2: I think no, Actually, what was really interesting us he's
- 29:48Speaker 2: getting in You're going to sue him for reading a
- 29:52Speaker 2: real email.
- 29:53Speaker 1: That was in the deal?
- 29:54Speaker 2: That was right, because how did the guy get access
- 29:58Speaker 2: the way that everybody else got access to the files?
- 30:01Speaker 3: Right?
- 30:01Speaker 1: He must have done something like trespassing or something like
- 30:03Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like there must have been
- 30:04Speaker 1: some sort of like little.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Or or is somebody suing him because they're angry, you
- 30:09Speaker 2: know what I mean? Like the thing about that is
- 30:11Speaker 2: then nobody is safe. That's what, right, Because if the
- 30:16Speaker 2: reason why, if it's not just Trump who's in the
- 30:19Speaker 2: EPSOM files and doesn't want it to be released, because
- 30:23Speaker 2: I know that it's not just him, right, it's countless
- 30:26Speaker 2: people in finance, in politics, and entertainment, so in every
- 30:31Speaker 2: sector of our of our lives, then there will never
- 30:36Speaker 2: be justice for those girls, for those for those kids. No,
- 30:40Speaker 2: that's appalling, yeah, and it is. It does something to
- 30:44Speaker 2: realize that we're part of the society where there's not
- 30:50Speaker 2: there will not be justice for some people.
- 30:52Speaker 1: That we value wealth, capitalism, all these things more than Yeah.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it's disgusting, right, And I know you think about it,
- 31:03Speaker 2: and when you think about it, when you think about
- 31:06Speaker 2: how deep it goes, how many layers there are, it's
- 31:09Speaker 2: really disturbing.
- 31:10Speaker 1: This is like when we talk to doctor Dobson, You
- 31:13Speaker 1: and I both left that conversation and I was like,
- 31:15Speaker 1: I know that was an important conversation to have. I
- 31:18Speaker 1: don't want to look at it that close because it's
- 31:21Speaker 1: so disturbing, you know what I mean? And I think
- 31:23Speaker 1: about that like the wilful blindness that we do to ourselves. Right.
- 31:27Speaker 1: The brain wants to protect itself. That's like what it's
- 31:30Speaker 1: there for. So when it's confronted with something so disturbing
- 31:34Speaker 1: and distressing like that, we want to look away. We
- 31:37Speaker 1: want to just be like that is too crazy to
- 31:40Speaker 1: ever be true, rather than say, let's let the truth prevail,
- 31:45Speaker 1: even if it's disruptive. Disturbing changes a lot of things
- 31:49Speaker 1: in our day to day lives, right, like CEOs, a
- 31:53Speaker 1: banking institution. It's like it could affect like so much
- 31:56Speaker 1: of our economy conversations. I don't want to be a
- 32:00Speaker 1: thanksgiven talking to people about Epstein Island and my family, like,
- 32:04Speaker 1: but if not talking about it is how we got here.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Right, So how else do we prevent those things from happening?
- 32:10Speaker 1: Right?
- 32:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, and that's why I mean, I think
- 32:13Speaker 2: as disturbing it is to look at you know, Holocaust images, right,
- 32:20Speaker 2: It's it is disturbing, but it's important to know, right,
- 32:24Speaker 2: as disturbing as it is to read about and to see,
- 32:27Speaker 2: you know, the images of slavery, it's it is disturbing,
- 32:31Speaker 2: but it's important. We have to know about those things,
- 32:33Speaker 2: and you know, and and I want to say, we
- 32:36Speaker 2: have to learn about those things so that they don't
- 32:40Speaker 2: happen again, except that we don't seem to ever learn anything.
- 32:44Speaker 1: And there's always someone saying in the comments like, ah,
- 32:47Speaker 1: move on already.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Move on already, or you know what, that's not true,
- 32:51Speaker 2: that's not a real thing.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Why do they have to have their own parade? You know,
- 32:54Speaker 1: like there's always.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Someone here because always somebody, Oh, yes, where it's my parade?
- 32:58Speaker 2: Or you know, all lives matter, this is where's my history?
- 33:02Speaker 1: One?
- 33:02Speaker 2: Correct? Correct?
- 33:03Speaker 1: There's always going to be there's always going to.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Be somebody like that, and not just one somebody, a
- 33:07Speaker 2: lot of somebody's. Well this is depressing.
- 33:12Speaker 1: How can I bring it back around? I'm trying to
- 33:13Speaker 1: think of how I can bring it back around?
- 33:15Speaker 2: I mean, but but you know what, I think that
- 33:18Speaker 2: that's just it.
- 33:19Speaker 1: But right, the instinct, that's the instinct, that's punchline.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Let's punchline is let's make this more pleasant. And sometimes
- 33:27Speaker 2: I think that we have to sit and you say
- 33:30Speaker 2: that all the time, right, sit in the uncomfortable space. Yeah,
- 33:35Speaker 2: so you were going to say something, sorry.
- 33:37Speaker 4: I think like the same reason why we haven't released
- 33:39Speaker 4: the full JFK files is similar to like, yes, there,
- 33:44Speaker 4: I'm not there's probably tons of people in that's scene
- 33:47Speaker 4: files that are serial rapists and child abusers and doing
- 33:51Speaker 4: discussing things. I think the other side of that, too
- 33:54Speaker 4: is probably tons of people in our government working with
- 33:59Speaker 4: enemies really seeing classified information and rooms on recordings that
- 34:02Speaker 4: were like wait, we were we talked with this person
- 34:06Speaker 4: and that person, like there's a whole recording about this
- 34:08Speaker 4: back room bullshit. And I think like, in addition to
- 34:12Speaker 4: all the disgusting like violent abusive crimes, is probably a
- 34:17Speaker 4: whole other side of like classified illegal shit being discussed
- 34:22Speaker 4: that they can't true say yeah true.
- 34:25Speaker 2: I also wonder about I think I've said this before.
- 34:27Speaker 2: I you know, I always wonder about the people who
- 34:32Speaker 2: knew about it. We weren't participants, right, Like like the
- 34:34Speaker 2: person who maybe got invited to go to the island,
- 34:37Speaker 2: went to the island thinking, oh, here's jropy Epsteen is
- 34:40Speaker 2: my friend, a rich guy. I'm going to go to
- 34:42Speaker 2: like a fun island, And then they got there and
- 34:43Speaker 2: they're like, oh, this is not my jam and never
- 34:47Speaker 2: went back.
- 34:48Speaker 1: But we got a flight log of what right?
- 34:50Speaker 2: But whoever is right? Whoever it is who went yeah,
- 34:53Speaker 2: went once, was like, oh no, I don't want to
- 34:57Speaker 2: be a part of this, and then left.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I came here for my tie.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Correct. But that person didn't open their mouth to say
- 35:05Speaker 2: anything about what they saw even though they didn't. Now,
- 35:08Speaker 2: are you doing that to protect yourself, to save yourself
- 35:11Speaker 2: or because it's none of my business? Like, is what's
- 35:13Speaker 2: the thought process behind that? It's like the people who
- 35:16Speaker 2: knew about Harvey Weinstein. Yes, think about all the people
- 35:20Speaker 2: who knew about that and didn't say or do anything
- 35:24Speaker 2: because why they wanted to get that next role. They
- 35:27Speaker 2: wanted to get that next job. He was so powerful
- 35:29Speaker 2: they were afraid.
- 35:31Speaker 1: It's like in court sometimes I see something happening with
- 35:34Speaker 1: like someone else that's not my client, and I'm like,
- 35:38Speaker 1: I really want to get.
- 35:39Speaker 2: In there to help save that person.
- 35:42Speaker 1: And I'm like, if I die on that, hell, I
- 35:46Speaker 1: can't die on this one. You know what I mean?
- 35:49Speaker 2: You know, I would like to believe that all of
- 35:53Speaker 2: us have this moral compass where if we see something
- 35:56Speaker 2: going down that's wrong, that we will speak up. But
- 36:01Speaker 2: I think when I think, what we forget is that
- 36:06Speaker 2: everybody also has like a healthy amount of fear, and
- 36:09Speaker 2: you're afraid of what's going to happen to you, what's
- 36:11Speaker 2: going to happen to your kid, you know, your livelihood, etc.
- 36:15Speaker 1: I also think this thing happens with like sex violence
- 36:18Speaker 1: survivors and victims. This thing happens where that becomes their
- 36:24Speaker 1: only thing in from the perception of societies. Yes, like
- 36:31Speaker 1: people who go through big trials like that, oftentimes society
- 36:35Speaker 1: labels them as that woman who press charges against Rock Turner,
- 36:41Speaker 1: that woman who to press charges against Trump right, so
- 36:48Speaker 1: often that becomes their headline, their title, their Wikipedia page,
- 36:53Speaker 1: and everything else is a footnote. And I feel like
- 36:57Speaker 1: if I were a victim in that situation, my mind,
- 37:02Speaker 1: I would be like, if I do this, it's possible
- 37:07Speaker 1: that that becomes my story and that I lose control
- 37:10Speaker 1: over my.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Story, right, Like, that's got to be so freaking hard
- 37:17Speaker 3: to deal with of just being like, I got to
- 37:20Speaker 3: do the right thing here, and it might be at
- 37:22Speaker 3: my expense, it might be to the detriment of whatever
- 37:27Speaker 3: I want to do in the future.
- 37:28Speaker 2: That's got to suck, it does I mean, it's like
- 37:31Speaker 2: you know something that you did or something that happened
- 37:35Speaker 2: to you many years ago, and now every time you're
- 37:41Speaker 2: somewhere that old thing comes back up again and you're like,
- 37:44Speaker 2: you know what, Yes, this happened to me, but I
- 37:48Speaker 2: am now I've gone on and I'm doing this really
- 37:51Speaker 2: important work or I have a like a relatively happy
- 37:54Speaker 2: life or whatever it is. But people always want to
- 37:57Speaker 2: like bring it back around to the whole, to the
- 38:01Speaker 2: to the most spectacular part of your life, whether it's
- 38:04Speaker 2: positive or negative. Right, the thing that that you are
- 38:07Speaker 2: known for, you know what I mean.
- 38:09Speaker 1: We've reduced people down to like the basest most like splashy.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Especially if we don't know those people. Yes, right, So
- 38:16Speaker 2: I mean you know that's not something that say, you
- 38:20Speaker 2: and I would do to each other because we know
- 38:22Speaker 2: each other, right, But if somebody doesn't know me, they're
- 38:27Speaker 2: just going to think that like on this person, yes right,
- 38:30Speaker 2: and not that I am not my most authentic self here,
- 38:33Speaker 2: but like I you know, I have a family. There
- 38:38Speaker 2: is nuance to who I am, right, And you know,
- 38:41Speaker 2: I think people will like look at you and be like, oh,
- 38:43Speaker 2: Michael Foot, the TikTok lawyer, right right, and that is you, right,
- 38:47Speaker 2: But that's not only but.
- 38:48Speaker 1: I also made homemade ice cream last night. You know
- 38:50Speaker 1: what I mean? What kind it was? Technically custard is
- 38:57Speaker 1: a friend recipe.
- 38:58Speaker 2: I love this is Oh my god.
- 39:00Speaker 1: I think we need ADHD medication. All right, we've got
- 39:07Speaker 1: some reviews here. This is tails from the DMS. Melissa's
- 39:10Speaker 1: gonna take it away.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Friends. What I always say, well, Michael is a lawyer.
- 39:14Speaker 2: He's not your lawyer, so get your own.
- 39:17Speaker 1: We have a lot of DMS.
- 39:18Speaker 2: I'm in a bad way today because I left my
- 39:19Speaker 2: phone at home.
- 39:21Speaker 1: So you borrowed my phone?
- 39:24Speaker 2: Yes, Michael, that makes sense.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Yeah, oh my god. What Melissa was like, can I
- 39:32Speaker 1: use your phone? And I was like, yeah, it's right there.
- 39:34Speaker 1: And then you were like what's the passcode? And I
- 39:35Speaker 1: told you? And then I was like, did you.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Like checked out?
- 39:38Speaker 1: I was like, why didn't you know that? Why didn't
- 39:40Speaker 1: you already know my past? Coode. I can't ans my
- 39:42Speaker 1: atm pen.
- 39:43Speaker 2: You're lucky that I forgot immediately. So anyway, I don't
- 39:46Speaker 2: have my phone, so I can't read all the things.
- 39:48Speaker 2: But there was this one from it was from whatever.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Somebody made a comment on the podcast and they said
- 39:56Speaker 2: that they enjoy that they enjoy our podcast, but the
- 40:03Speaker 2: vibe is off between the hosts.
- 40:06Speaker 1: I think that's the one thing we have, right, Well,
- 40:08Speaker 1: you know what, off like we hate each other.
- 40:11Speaker 2: We don't really like each other. That's true, for sure,
- 40:15Speaker 2: I loath him. But what I think is really interesting
- 40:17Speaker 2: is that then the next the next reviewer is just like,
- 40:21Speaker 2: oh my god, Michael and Melissa make me feel like
- 40:24Speaker 2: I'm sitting at a brunch with them, and so I
- 40:29Speaker 2: think it's so interesting that people will watch them. It's
- 40:34Speaker 2: so interesting to me. People are the people who are
- 40:36Speaker 2: just like I don't think that Melissa really likes Michael.
- 40:38Speaker 2: She's just there making fun of him and he's laughing nervously.
- 40:45Speaker 2: But do you know what I mean? I think those
- 40:47Speaker 2: comments are so fascinating.
- 40:49Speaker 1: But it's like what we're kind of talking about a
- 40:51Speaker 1: little bit, how people perceive you based off like one
- 40:54Speaker 1: small little they're looking through the hole, and I.
- 40:57Speaker 2: Mean, and I think that, you know, and what I
- 40:59Speaker 2: don't want to do is like constantly have to explain.
- 41:02Speaker 1: That it really is like best friends who one kind
- 41:09Speaker 1: of keeps the other alive. Like Melissa will be like,
- 41:12Speaker 1: did you turn the stove off? Like, because I'm facetiming
- 41:15Speaker 1: her while I'm cooking.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Yeah, like how do you do it?
- 41:17Speaker 1: And I'm like, shit, no, you're right. Or the time
- 41:19Speaker 1: you wash my eye out because I got I got
- 41:22Speaker 1: a Lyssa's essential oils in my eye.
- 41:25Speaker 2: And people were really like they were about the oil. No,
- 41:29Speaker 2: they were worried about how we feel about Alyssa? Who
- 41:32Speaker 2: like you guys, do you guys even really like this person?
- 41:36Speaker 1: We love her? I love her so much, right, And I.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Think that that's the thing is, like you guys are
- 41:42Speaker 2: it's like eavesdropping, which I love to do, by the way,
- 41:45Speaker 2: It's like, are you dropping on a conversation?
- 41:48Speaker 1: Alyssa is like our ward, Like she's our child that's
- 41:52Speaker 1: been assigned to us by the government, like we have
- 41:55Speaker 1: to take care of her. Alyssa texted us on fourth
- 41:59Speaker 1: of the weekend and was like, Alyssa, where are you?
- 42:03Speaker 1: And she was on a horse in Montana.
- 42:07Speaker 2: But you know what the best thing about it is
- 42:08Speaker 2: is that she was just like you know where I am?
- 42:11Speaker 2: You know where I am? You're tracking me? And I
- 42:15Speaker 2: was like, oh, that's right. And then I went to
- 42:17Speaker 2: look and I was like, oh, yeah, she's in Montana.
- 42:19Speaker 2: She was moving. That was moving.
- 42:21Speaker 1: I do like to think that the three of us
- 42:23Speaker 1: are sharing one brain's capacity and like you've got the responsibility.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Alyssa has the alcohol tolerance. I have the attention issues.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Like the three of us combined one person, one person,
- 42:40Speaker 1: do you think? And I love baiting. Alyssa has a
- 42:43Speaker 1: really bad fomo for anything. So anytime I see she's
- 42:47Speaker 1: like in Montana, I text her and I say like,
- 42:50Speaker 1: I'm hanging out with my friend on Love Island, just
- 42:53Speaker 1: to just to really get her freaked out. I do
- 42:57Speaker 1: kind of want to see if I can dangle the
- 42:58Speaker 1: Love Island friend to see if she'll wait.
- 43:01Speaker 2: You have a friend who's who's on Love Island.
- 43:03Speaker 1: We'll talk about this. I want to, but I don't.
- 43:07Speaker 2: And I was like, I hate shows like that, but
- 43:09Speaker 2: go ahead.
- 43:09Speaker 3: I'm not watching.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I know they.
- 43:12Speaker 1: Don't tell them, but anyway, they're terrible. I do want
- 43:15Speaker 1: to dangle that and see if I can get Alissa
- 43:18Speaker 1: to fly home from Montana. We're not going to do
- 43:21Speaker 1: to come hang out there. You don't think she would.
- 43:23Speaker 1: She books airplane tickets on her phone.
- 43:26Speaker 2: It is, but I think the chaos is not quite
- 43:30Speaker 2: like she's not going to leave Montana where she's doing
- 43:32Speaker 2: something Fun Island to steal a Love Island person. She's not.
- 43:37Speaker 1: They weren't even they were out. They got The other
- 43:40Speaker 1: thing that.
- 43:40Speaker 2: I'm hearing that I'm reading on the reviews is that
- 43:44Speaker 2: the people want to see CJ. They do. They want
- 43:47Speaker 2: to see CJ. They hear CJ, we talk about CJ,
- 43:50Speaker 2: but they've never seen them.
- 43:52Speaker 1: What's the problem The second we show them CJ, it's
- 43:56Speaker 1: curtains for us. For sure, it is over. It's going
- 43:59Speaker 1: to be this CJ show featuring Michael Melissa. Maybe yeah,
- 44:03Speaker 1: because he's so cute, adorable, and I don't want to
- 44:06Speaker 1: get into like exactly right calling me about harassment, lawsuit stuff.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Or anything like that.
- 44:12Speaker 1: He does glasses on, You're like, oh my god, adorable,
- 44:14Speaker 1: glasses off, so adorable, you can't Usually it's one of
- 44:17Speaker 1: those others.
- 44:20Speaker 2: It's the cutest thing.
- 44:20Speaker 1: I check my glasses off. It's Westminster Dog Show, bark
- 44:24Speaker 1: Bar Hunting Wolf Wolf.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Are you fishing?
- 44:28Speaker 1: I'm kidding. I'm just kidding.
- 44:30Speaker 2: You're definitely fishing.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Nervously laughing Melissa is making me uncomfortable. I'm nervously laughing.
- 44:36Speaker 2: Good, you need to be uncomfortable more time, more awesome.
- 44:39Speaker 1: So we're not going to show you CJ. And that's why. Also,
- 44:42Speaker 1: his agents are highly litigious and they want a signed
- 44:46Speaker 1: contract for any appearance.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Sorry. Friends, we'll get to see.
- 44:51Speaker 1: It's very shy. Mystery is better anyway, Like the Denver Airport,
- 44:55Speaker 1: The mystery is better.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Look at that.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Look at that to you, sir, that's what we call
- 45:01Speaker 1: a segue in the business. Yeah, Melissa, why don't you
- 45:04Speaker 1: read number three?
- 45:05Speaker 3: Here?
- 45:06Speaker 1: I love this one.
- 45:07Speaker 2: This is from Bonnie o'livy, the not the very first
- 45:11Speaker 2: commercial popping off at the top of your Luigi episode
- 45:14Speaker 2: being for United Healthcare. I thought it was a joke,
- 45:18Speaker 2: love yous.
- 45:21Speaker 1: I don't we have no control over use code brief
- 45:24Speaker 1: recess your next doctor's appointment for one percent off?
- 45:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I had no idea anyway.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Oh, I want to read this one from c. Eighteen
- 45:34Speaker 1: oh eight from a scott I guess a Scottish person.
- 45:37Speaker 1: I can't even begin to imagine how many people are
- 45:39Speaker 1: in your inbox right now. First up, mushy peas. While
- 45:44Speaker 1: they're like normal garden piece, they are left to mature
- 45:48Speaker 1: and become known as marrowfat peas see eighteen oh eight.
- 45:53Speaker 1: I hope you weren't submitting this as a way to
- 45:57Speaker 1: make us like British food, because already British food Scottish.
- 46:03Speaker 2: It's Scottish food.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Already you are digging the hole. We thought we were
- 46:09Speaker 1: at rock bottom. You said maybe there's a seller, so
- 46:13Speaker 1: they should be well seasoned from the right chip shop. Again,
- 46:19Speaker 1: I'm worried where this is going. Melissa Scotland also is
- 46:22Speaker 1: fantastic blood pudding. I've got to I might have to
- 46:26Speaker 1: end the episode.
- 46:27Speaker 2: No, keep going, keep going.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Known as black pudding. The best is Mcloud's of Stormway.
- 46:32Speaker 1: I may suggest some hagus. I think this is reach bait.
- 46:37Speaker 2: No no, no, keep going.
- 46:38Speaker 1: In Boston thanks to the Tartan Army coming to represent
- 46:41Speaker 1: I cannot detract from our amazing Celtic cousins, though the
- 46:44Speaker 1: Irish are great. Anyway, take care and look forward to
- 46:47Speaker 1: Thursdays because of the show.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Is it's sire ce see signe see sigh eighteen oh eight.
- 46:54Speaker 2: I will I'm going to Scotland soon and I'll let
- 46:58Speaker 2: you know.
- 46:59Speaker 1: It's some of these words. What it's like, It's like
- 47:02Speaker 1: there's he's missing a key on the keyboard.
- 47:05Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 47:05Speaker 3: What I mean?
- 47:06Speaker 1: No, narrow fat peas. McLeod uh hagis I'm not blood
- 47:15Speaker 1: pudding If blood's in the title, No, it's curtains, clothes,
- 47:20Speaker 1: casket for me.
- 47:21Speaker 2: I know what they know. But we were talking, so
- 47:23Speaker 2: we talked about the blood pudding and Lorraine shout out
- 47:26Speaker 2: to Loraine, who does my hair. She sent me a picture.
- 47:30Speaker 2: She's from the UK, She's from England. She sent me
- 47:33Speaker 2: of her adorable granddaughter just calmly eating some black pudding
- 47:38Speaker 2: blood pudding. She's so cute and she's like a toddler.
- 47:41Speaker 2: So I feel like if.
- 47:42Speaker 1: They have to be conditioned, they're they're they're force feeding
- 47:49Speaker 1: blood puddings to the children at a young age, maybe
- 47:52Speaker 1: because if they tried it when they were adults. No,
- 47:54Speaker 1: that's it good.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I am I'm going to have some.
- 47:58Speaker 1: You're going to have something for sure? Well you're doing
- 48:00Speaker 1: you let me know how it is.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Will I am down to try? Yeah, I am down
- 48:04Speaker 2: to try just about anything. I don't it's okay if
- 48:07Speaker 2: I don't like it.
- 48:08Speaker 1: I'm really conflicted because that is also my persona. I
- 48:12Speaker 1: do try to be the person who tries everything. I
- 48:14Speaker 1: will try everything, But then you throw words out like
- 48:17Speaker 1: blood budding.
- 48:18Speaker 2: I mean what, I don't know, like honestly, like I
- 48:21Speaker 2: have I will say I and I fully admit this.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Picky eaters get on my nerves in the worst possible way.
- 48:28Speaker 2: And I will also admit that my aversion to picky
- 48:32Speaker 2: eaters is weird for sure, Like there's no reason for
- 48:35Speaker 2: me to get so unhinged and angry at picky eaters.
- 48:39Speaker 2: But yeah, but I just feel like I don't understand.
- 48:41Speaker 2: What's the worst that could happen if you taste something
- 48:43Speaker 2: and you don't like it. I am not talking about
- 48:46Speaker 2: people who have any kind of like an actual dietary
- 48:49Speaker 2: restriction for.
- 48:50Speaker 1: People who like go are those like they try to
- 48:53Speaker 1: eat like crazy things for the you know what I mean,
- 48:56Speaker 1: Like it's like four hot dogs this year the Glizzies.
- 49:03Speaker 1: I can't go it down like that.
- 49:05Speaker 2: I can't eat no, it makes me. I can't even
- 49:08Speaker 2: look at it.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Throw a neck for a Glizzy I can't.
- 49:12Speaker 2: But yeah, so I just feel like I don't understand
- 49:14Speaker 2: what the big deal is, Like what's gonna happen to
- 49:16Speaker 2: you if you don't like I'm gonna what aer some
- 49:17Speaker 2: blood pudding?
- 49:19Speaker 1: The Sergio Escobar says, just listen to the new episode.
- 49:23Speaker 1: Thanks for shouting out to the five men listening, Melissa,
- 49:26Speaker 1: you know what that is my demo. No man ever
- 49:28Speaker 1: comes up to me on the street and says, I
- 49:30Speaker 1: love your videos talking about let's talk about how you
- 49:32Speaker 1: shouted out to the five men who are listening to
- 49:34Speaker 1: show because it's mostly women. I love that and I
- 49:38Speaker 1: want it to be like that.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Thanks or you, but I have literally no no recollection
- 49:42Speaker 2: of this of shouting out.
- 49:43Speaker 1: I also wanted to try them about not having tonahiuse
- 49:46Speaker 1: I remember this?
- 49:48Speaker 3: Oh my god, I'm dead.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Uh, perhaps I want I was an assistant manager at
- 49:53Speaker 1: a at a salon on the Las Vegas Strip in
- 49:56Speaker 1: my early twenties.
- 49:57Speaker 2: That must have been good.
- 49:59Speaker 1: A one hor woman came into the salon for a
- 50:01Speaker 1: mad cure appointment. Oh my god, I'm sorry. I'm not
- 50:04Speaker 1: laughing at someone with one arm. I'm laughing at how
- 50:06Speaker 1: insane our listeners are.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Sometimes you guys have really good stories.
- 50:11Speaker 1: You guys have really good stories, and I'm just not ready. Sometimes.
- 50:15Speaker 1: She was scheduled for a fifty minute service. Her nail
- 50:18Speaker 1: tech went above and beyond and serviced her one hand
- 50:20Speaker 1: as she should. After the service, the woman asked for
- 50:25Speaker 1: a fifty percent. Lady, I'm gonna I'm going to stop.
- 50:31Speaker 1: You know what, right.
- 50:32Speaker 2: Here, Sergio? Are you lying for attention? Sergio?
- 50:35Speaker 1: Sergio was trying to get us canceled. Some people are
- 50:38Speaker 1: trying to bait me into reading reviews that get me canceled.
- 50:43Speaker 3: I can't.
- 50:44Speaker 2: I can't look at me and.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Kill Garreff in the face after reading about a one
- 50:48Speaker 1: armed woman asking for a fifty percent discount. I'm an
- 50:52Speaker 1: officer of the court in the state of New York, Sergio,
- 50:57Speaker 1: and you're trying to get me dirty like that.
- 50:59Speaker 2: Wait, hold on, so he goes on to say, so
- 51:02Speaker 2: this lady asked forty percent. I told her no. Wait wait,
- 51:05Speaker 2: I told her no, but she pressed hard enough that
- 51:08Speaker 2: my higher up gave in and overruled me. My logic,
- 51:10Speaker 2: Sergio's logic was that she had a whole ass fifteen
- 51:13Speaker 2: minute treatment. On one hand, you don't pay by the hand.
- 51:17Speaker 2: Back me up here, love, y'all, Sergio.
- 51:25Speaker 3: That's the end of world.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Sergio. You are a shitster and I like it.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Oh my god. For legal reasons, I can either ca
- 51:36Speaker 1: I can either confirm nor deny. I don't know who's
- 51:38Speaker 1: signed to take care. I mean, are we really going
- 51:41Speaker 1: to debate someone with one armlist?
- 51:43Speaker 2: No, we're not. We're not go to But you know what,
- 51:44Speaker 2: it just made me probably a do you know honestly
- 51:49Speaker 2: like patch your cat? Patch? All right? R I p Patch?
- 51:55Speaker 1: No your other cat Arthur? Okay, wow we have tot that.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Wait what did it make you think?
- 52:01Speaker 2: I picked that up like people who only you know.
- 52:04Speaker 2: Let's not, let's not. We won't. No, no, no no no.
- 52:08Speaker 1: I don't thought out of Melissa, but I will say, yeah,
- 52:11Speaker 1: I accidentally bought one shoe on it. I remember eBay
- 52:14Speaker 1: once I bought one shoe.
- 52:15Speaker 2: I do remember that.
- 52:16Speaker 1: And the guy was like, it said one shoe in
- 52:19Speaker 1: the description.
- 52:20Speaker 2: Yeah, during the pandemic. You were so mad.
- 52:23Speaker 1: And then I did write to him. I was like,
- 52:25Speaker 1: I can't believe I bought one shoe and he was like,
- 52:27Speaker 1: it's a photo of one fucking shoe, dude, and I
- 52:30Speaker 1: and he was like it says one shoe, and I
- 52:34Speaker 1: was like, you know what, You're right, it is one
- 52:36Speaker 1: shoe and I've got one shoe.
- 52:39Speaker 2: Yeah, And Michael was upset with me because I was
- 52:41Speaker 2: like laughing at him, and I took the side of
- 52:44Speaker 2: the guy who was selling the shoe. I was like, listen,
- 52:46Speaker 2: did he say there were two shoes? Did he say
- 52:48Speaker 2: a pair?
- 52:49Speaker 1: So you would take the side of the woman with
- 52:51Speaker 1: the one arm in this argument, right, I guess you
- 52:55Speaker 1: know what you know, if you're living life with one arm,
- 52:57Speaker 1: I'm giving you a discount. Like I'm not gonna argue
- 53:00Speaker 1: with you.
- 53:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not gonna argue with you.
- 53:01Speaker 1: I not, Sergio.
- 53:03Speaker 2: But but but to go back to you buying.
- 53:06Speaker 1: Buying one shoe, Oh, that's a shame on me moment.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Because because because when you sent me the thing you
- 53:12Speaker 2: sent me, the the ad Ford or whatever it was,
- 53:15Speaker 2: it said one shoe. You did not You weren't listening,
- 53:19Speaker 2: do you know what I mean? You weren't paying attention.
- 53:21Speaker 2: And I understand because who buys one shoe? Right, you
- 53:25Speaker 2: buy a pair of shoes, but you did not read
- 53:28Speaker 2: it carefully.
- 53:31Speaker 1: If you see me in court and I'm wearing one shoe,
- 53:34Speaker 1: just no, I wouldn't do it to spite Melissa. I
- 53:36Speaker 1: think I do you do wasteful throwing it out?
- 53:44Speaker 2: So I think I put it in those you should
- 53:45Speaker 2: have like planted something in it.
