- 0:21[SPEAKER_02]: There we go, we are live, it's time for an episode of Building the Broncos, I am Nick Kendall in the still the transition of moving my wife's box here.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_02]: She had made me switch chairs so now I feel like shorter because the camera is
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: pointed down.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: But we're here.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm six foot.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm six one.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_02]: I've got a little guy energy right now, but good to see everybody coming in here in Carl.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's good to see you too with great circumstances of the Broncos sitting there at three and two in Broncos Country really feeling themselves with a a winnable stretch of games coming up for the Broncos.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's the NFL.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: There are no guarantees, but a winnable stretch of games.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: And just looking at you right now, it's kind of like that kid that comes up is like, please, sir, can I have some more?
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: You're just looking up and yeah, please.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: But no, yeah, this is what a time to be a Bronco fan.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_01]: You couldn't have asked for a better week of football or because it's not quite weekend because we had the money not game that ended up breaking our way.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, what a way to see the cheese slues?
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: you know, they've been doing that to everybody else.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: So to have it happen to them, it couldn't have happened to a better organization, you know.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: And watching Chris Jones, like just kind of like, oh, plays over, I'm just gonna stand here and then Trevor Lawrence ends up getting back up.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't think I've ever seen a quarterback fall down twice.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: Not get touched.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: Somehow get up, take off running and score a touchdown.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's a new one in the NFL.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to be able to sing it very well, but the clown music is going in the background of everything's like, you got the better voice than I do.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_01]: And it just felt like that was going on and and the in the chiefs end up being the clown organization feels great.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: Then you have
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: Then you look at the stretch that's coming up.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk about the schedule as we go through this, but Broncos really have an incredible opportunity to build a big lead in this division.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, chiefs have a really tough schedule.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: They have the Troy, they have the Broncos, they have the cults.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: They have, I'm trying to think, there's a couple other big teams coming up for them that wouldn't surprise me if you're in the next five games.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: three and seven or whatever and you're kind of going, oh my goodness.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I said Bronco's great chance, but you got to finish off the games you should win.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no doubt about that.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: And just to clarify for those at home, when I did the everything broke our way, hand gesture that it did.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_02]: I lost my fantasy game because of by 0.4 points, because Hollywood Brown didn't turn his head around, I guess, or the
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: I know we're really excited about Denver being ahead in the chiefs losing like they have, but the offense looks pretty good and explosive for Kansas City.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: They won the turnover battle.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_02]: They won the yards.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think they had more explosive plays.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, a 99 yard pick six is the tail of the tape on that one.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: You have a 99 yard touchdown return for an interception for a touchdown.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're going to win that game a lot of times, but I'm not ready to advance.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: on the chiefs graves by any means.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_02]: It feels good right now.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_02]: But they are, they still fear the hell out of me.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man, that one.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited for those games coming up.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'm also excited for Michael Rankillo coming in here saying good evening, Nick and Carl.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm building the Broncos.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: Gobo Broncos.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see you, Michael.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: Good energy appreciates you always coming in here in support in the show.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: He's also always hitting this up on Twitter after the fact, giving us a shout out.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_02]: So make sure you guys are like Michael.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: Drop in the $5 super that be in a
- 4:24[SPEAKER_02]: but also hit us on up after the fact as well.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: We get lonely, feed into our social media football addictions here.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_02]: Coach Chris gifted five memberships, God bless you, Coach Chris always coming in, supporting with Super Chat, supporting with gifts, same with Embelly Test Prep, Michael Rankuew again, David Youngkinn and a member for a month.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_02]: This is incredible.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: So you guys are awesome.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_02]: We also got our guy.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: the sports crunch David Kermel, coming in says I see at least three losses in the next six games and nothing is a gimmie.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I see three losses in the next six, uh, David, but you are correct in saying that nothing is a gimmie.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: Right now, Denver needs to just make sure, I mean, it's a weird circumstances, the emotional high of beating the Eagles, and now you go to play the only windless team in all football in the jets.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think this team is too well coached.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's too many veterans.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think they have too many good pieces, but take care of business.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_02]: This isn't Alabama playing children for the blinds, sisters of the poor tech.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_02]: This is an NFL team, still that's hungry for the first game.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: With a underrated offense, I think rushing game.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: Especially, I like some of the design coming from the run game for them.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 5:37[SPEAKER_02]: And I also don't think Justin feels as plain horrible, but granted, you know, he's limited quarterback, but still nothing is a give me three the last three the next six though, drop in three the next six.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_02]: I think anything less than four and six.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: A four out of the next six is a little bit of let down.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: I would agree.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you've got essentially five of the next six that are at least either home game or neutral.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the jet's game, it's a neutral location.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: So it works out in the Broncos favor since it's supposed to be a road game.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, it kind of works out double because that field for the New York Jets, I would not want my team playing on that field.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: It just seems like injuries happen there every single year, every single week almost,
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: And so it works out well for the Broncos that way, but I like that five of the next six essentially kind of home games for them and some easier opponents, you know, obviously the the two New York teams, both of them not looking great.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Giants had one great game against chargers.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you very much.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate them win in that one, but they lose milk neighbors.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: They've lost a few other pieces out there.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: They could be coming in not looking too great.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: we're all going to be at that game.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully that's going to be a really big win coming for the Broncos at that time.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: And then, like I said, the jets, you said it.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: They have some talent.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: They have a few players, but they're just missing so much right now.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: And when you don't have a quarterback that can consistently take care of the ball, can, you know, put it where it needs to be.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think they said, I was listening, one out of every three passes is going to one receiver.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: force it to go anywhere else, good luck.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: And in the offensive line, I was saying in our group chat earlier today, I watched the Jets Cowboys game.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: They have talent on the offensive line, but they are not communicating at all.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: And there are just free blitzers or free guys coming forward.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: And you think about a lot of plays where Vance Joseph likes to have six guys on the defensive line.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: And then it may be a couple of them drop back and you don't know which four are coming.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: This is that perfect game for that.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: Make them have to communicate perfectly.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_01]: And so there's a real opportunity, like I said, but you can go from highest to highest, a beating the Philadelphia Eagles to lowest of lows, losing to maybe the worst team in football, all in a matter of,
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, a week to time period.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_02]: So we do have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a week to have a
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: They aren't dropping games when they're favorites.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_02]: Like when they should win and when there's a talented vantage, it feels like for the most part, the Broncos have really, you know, sweat the leg, step on the throat, whatever, you know, 80s a movie, you know, quote, you want to use there.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, you never know, just like Denver, it was not really winning a signature win before this Eagles game.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_02]: You can say the Tampa Bay, but that's kind of an hindsight.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: We weren't really sure what Tampa was gonna be at that point.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: this one for sure signature one.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: You got you got to keep it up.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm excited for that and it should be a good game.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just looking ahead the next six games like David was talking about you got the App the Jets, New York Giants.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's also the Mile High Huddle meet and greet.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: Please come and say hello.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_02]: I will not be hosting.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm guessing Carl because my house is
- 9:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like a bomb one off.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: God, it's hard to unpack when you have a 21 month old.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: Let me tell you, when you're working full time too.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_02]: But I digress, then you have two interesting games.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: Cowboys at home, Cowboys are probably the most, I know there's like a bias against the Cowboys, but let's just call them fun.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_02]: Like they're big 12 football right now.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_02]: They can't stop anybody.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_02]: But they might put up 50 points and that they're doing without CD lamb right now and I'm a little bit but hurt I'm happy for him, but like Juventil Williams has been one of the best running backs in football so far should have been here good guy so I'm I'm pulling for him and we got JK Dobbins and Harvey side I'm not crying too much, but man I feel bad that couldn't happen here for us and for him at Houston.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_02]: Denver should eat that offensive line, but they have, they're one of two teams Carl that have a better statistical defense in the Broncos right now, when you take out turnovers, so that tends to be a little bit more predictive, when you take out turnovers, could turnovers can be fluky and then also Raiders and then chiefs so.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_02]: Did three and I hate to make guarantees, you know, especially that's more games the Broncos even played at this point.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: not on what injuries could happen, they could look totally different, but three and three feels like the floor expectation floor for this team in the next six weeks.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if you only go three and three at that point, I'm kind of going, okay, maybe you're not the team that we were all hoping that they would be.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe that will be the case, maybe they just over played against the Philadelphia team that's been on the brink of looting a lot of these games and it was just bound to
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: And and maybe we're reading too much into to that kind of win for them, but I do think that is an incredible confidence booster.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: To get this off their back of hate, we've been losing all these close games, we struggle against really good opponents and especially going on the road in this kind of an environment, you know, they they haven't lost at home since like week three of 2024.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was the last time that they lost at home.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: And so it just, like I said, I still think it was a very, very quality win for the Broncos.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: And with a young team like the Broncos have building that kind of confidence and beyond that, I think one of the biggest things that I really love about the Broncos right now is they are winning their toughest matchups.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: You think of Cortland Sutton in this last game.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: He was going against Quinion Mitchell.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: My favorite way to say that name is Queen Yolm, just because I don't know, it just sounds like that to me, but that's a great cornerback.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: You can make an argument for him being a top five, top seven cornerback in football, and those two were battling one-on-one for most of the game.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: I've gotten missed that early one that he probably should have had, but he still put up some really, really good numbers came up some really big catches.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so, again, a great victory for him.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: I thought our two edge guys going against their two tackles.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: I would give the edge to the Broncos of winning that one.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: You look at Bonito and the type of tackles that he's beating right now.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's great.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: And we got a lot of confidence saying, good evening Nick Carl and Dick and Scott is Bonito going to be defense player of the year.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: He sure has a great start, any news on powers.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll start.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: We'll just continue his conversation about Bonito.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think he's very much going to be in the running.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: When you're going to the sack leader, like that gives you a huge boost when it comes to defense player there, those are the sexy stats, I guess is the way you would say it, that people really pay attention to.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: You know, certain winning at last year, I mean, it was an all-time cornerback season, so that helps, but it almost takes that kind of season for a cornerback to when it's usually edge into your defensive line,
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: Every once in a while, lineback or safety who have lots and lots of turnovers might win it, but that's about the only way that they can win it.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: And so he's got a very good chance.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, he's doing it against the best guys.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: The Eagles left tackle, great player.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_01]: You think about earlier in the season, some of the tackles he was playing.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: Again, dominated him and so I don't think the sacs are going to stop.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Broncos, especially over this next stretch just in fields holds on to the ball too long at times.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: You think of with the giants their quarterback's holding on to the ball way too long.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_01]: That will get it out pretty quick.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Houston, you've got a real advantage against their offensive line.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: Vegas, again, not a great offensive line.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: Probably the worst in football outside of Jackson Power's Johnson.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_02]: They're cold and Miller hurt.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_02]: They're dreadful.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: So he's got a real chance to put up another six, seven, eight sacks over the next six weeks.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: and really seeming himself as one of the great edge rushers in football right now.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: Now, he still needs work on his run defense.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's still not 100% up there with the Miles Garrett TJ walk kind of level.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's not for it.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's never on the way to get it.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: But, right, well, yeah, he's a freak of nature.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's one of those unique,
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: That you just don't find somebody built like that very often.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: And it's why, you know, he went so high in the draft.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: So, but like I said, Bonito, he's very much in the running if he can stay healthy.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: keep doing what he's doing, the way he's winning, it's not even like the other guys are forcing easy sacks for him, it's no, he's winning that quick around the edge to get to the quarterback and make the hit.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, the other part of this, the power's been powers, he's gonna be out for a while.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: They're hoping maybe December he could come back, but right now it's looking like Matt Pert
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think there's been an official announcement yet from what we've talked about and heard they kind of want Palchetsky on the right side and that doesn't mess with things as far as his technique too much.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: I know a lot of people specifically, I mean, I love Trist Norff, so when he said it ever jumped on and I'll give him credit, but he co-opted it for somebody.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's an old offensive line saying that like going from the one side of the offensive line to the other, it's possible, but it's awkward, it's uncomfortable, and it's kind of
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: wiping after you, you know, take care of business with your other hand.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's just like, ah, that felt wrong.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: So like doing that is the heart harder than you'd expect.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe they would know in the coaching staff what data we do have to go off of and the granted.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_02]: it's not great because you're playing your second string unit, so you're not exactly sure, but Palcetsky never played at least from PFF's data.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_02]: And the last two pre-season's never played left guard, left tackle.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's all been right guard, right tackle, and you had paired a play left guard this season after Nick Gargulio, who was having a great camp, really good first pre-season game, went down the fee.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was ACL.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: I always get ACL on Achilles cross-wired.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: in my brand.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was ACL.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: So I would expect it to be paired.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's obviously going to be a step back for the Broncos and something to keep an eye on for the wrong game and past protection, but power should be out for I think they said eight weeks following bicep surgery and shout out to him.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_02]: He played 100% of the snaps.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_02]: He played through the bicep injury.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_02]: So
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: Holy cow, I know like powers we've been talking about as a replaceable, not very good.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, who's okay last season, he had a playing good football this year.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to miss him a lot.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_02]: So I think fans will be calling for Pouchetski, but I think we need to understand that the coaches have much better perspective on what's going on in practice and what these players are comfortable with.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he's just not comfortable with the technique on the other side of the
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see, we'll find out soon.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'm hoping Wednesday, Thursday, somebody's gonna ask that and we'll get some information.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: And as far as Nick Benito, defensive player of the year, he's on pace to break the sack record.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously he is not,
- 17:22[SPEAKER_02]: in all encompassing run defender, but, and as much as, you know, I'm old school pocket crunching run defense, he is not, again, miles gear at some of those other players, but right now I think he's probably in the class of like the top five or six guys.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: So if he keeps it up, he's got a chance, but you have some really good players right now.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: a love Patrick Sertan, 800 and before he went down was the heavy favorite to win the award last season and he's on a tear so far this season.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think he has the most pressures so far this season as well as six acts.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: So he's been I mean he's been awesome.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_02]: He's got to be up there.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: Fred Warner is having again I mean Fred Warner.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: I know we always love like romance size Ray Lewis and Brian
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: in the conversation with those guys for his group.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_02]: He is un-freakin' believable.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: And then this season, I mean, it's not just who's the best defense player, always Carl but who has the key signature moments?
- 18:27[SPEAKER_02]: and the splashblade, Devon Lloyd.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, exactly.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: So it's early.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, again, five games, but Devon Lloyd is already as four picks, including the signature, I mean, time, time, game, 99-year interception return for a touchdown, narratives do matter for those awards.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm just throwing out a few other names, but need to certainly, certainly in the conversation, and we're only five games in, so we got plenty of time.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_02]: And Keith gave me a hard time saying, Nick, without the hats a little weird, you know what?
- 18:54[SPEAKER_02]: I got, I got a full head of hair here.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_02]: that I should show off thick hair.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_02]: I do have hats, but I...
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just going to show off the way the shine here, Keith also asked Broncos defensive rookie of the year so far.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's got to be crush shot.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's got to be the puncher.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Eagles in the first half of the game on Sunday, I think their average starting field position was like the 13, I apologize that cat just came in, of course, if you heard that big now.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: But I think it's got to be crush shot.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: There's still a chance for some other guys as well.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: He's been awesome and after a very bad camp been preseason, he's been a great fantastic one of the biggest surprises pleasant surprises for the team this season for me.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think the other rookies will get more and more playing time as the season goes on.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Baron didn't have many snaps in the last one, but he he had a couple shining moments a really big knockdown on on third down late in the game.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: Harvey didn't really get much run in this last game.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think they just kind of were leaning into, okay, we've got a tough defense.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: We got a lean on the veteran.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's really clicking right now in the run game.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: But he'll get more carries, especially these next few games.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like you're saying Dallas, they're defensive line.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: There's times where every one of them are pushed back five yards and running back just moving like, I mean, I can see both running back to having 100 yards in that game rushing.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: 50 yard carry whatever against that defense applying that they're not very good like said that could be that classic 2013 season Broncos Cowboys where it was like 50 148 was the final score.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying our defense is going to be that bad, but I'm going to expect our offense to be that good either.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: So, but it could be a really high 31, 28 kind of game by time you get done with that one.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: And like said, the running game really taken off, jets are not great against the run either.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: Vegas, you can run on them, can't city, you can run on them, you know, Houston, that's going to be a tough one for the offense, whoever's carrying the ball.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: But, and then,
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: A stat that kind of surprised me, Pat Bryant was tied for the second most snaps by a wide receiver in this past game with Franklin.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: Mims is fourth now.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_01]: These little still listed as the number two wide receiver, but he's really dropping off on the the number of snaps are given him on the field.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I'm sure it's match up related, depending on what kind of team you're playing, but
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: still something to keep an eye on and for those snaps are going.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: But we have Nage coming in with a nineteen ninety nine super chat here, thank you Nage saying hey brothers, see you bros in a week and a half ago, Broncos.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm getting excited.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's one of those times just need to we've got a fan in the background getting ready to hang out here.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: But no, it is.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's exciting.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: Get to come see all you guys,
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Nick and I get to see each other again.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't seen each other since the hike.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I might have to really try to lose a few pounds here to look okay for him and him not yell at me like, what are you doing out there?
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: But no, not as you can see, man, arm and just ready for your, your pep talk before the game.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: Letness know, Broncos are ready to, to watch some, you know what?
- 22:19[SPEAKER_02]: you missed the night before last year.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_02]: That's where the chaos happened.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_02]: But good to see you Nosh.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_02]: Always appreciate him.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_02]: Excited to see you so much.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, it was fun.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: Last year getting you to join us for the livestream afterwards as well.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_02]: So fantastic.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_02]: Getting back on track here as far as the next stretch of games, Carl, I'm going to ask you a few scenarios here.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_02]: So we had that David coming in, you know, pessimistic, I thought, you know, maybe the Broncos, he actually did make a bet with me that the Brajita, the Broncos would go on for after their first win on Mike, I don't think so.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_02]: Just probability wise, it's hard to go on for, so if you want to bet me not want to again, David, maybe you want to hit me with the three and three one, but I want to ask you what's more likely for Denver, a two and four over the next stretch or a six and
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: I would, maybe this is the optimist in me, I would say six and out.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_02]: Man.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, five in the next six really kind of being home games or neutral.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: That that plays big.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: Denver, the Broncos have been great in Denver under Sean Payton.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: It is a huge advantage, especially for this defense.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_01]: Those guys get off the edge and having that, you know,
- 23:38[SPEAKER_01]: guard touching the center.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, now we're going.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that's going to be a huge for the Broncos.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: The month of October.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's been talked about probably before here.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's a really good month for Sean Peyton.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's one of the winningest coaches in the month of October that we've ever seen.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: And so you look at these next few games here.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: He could go three and oh, and I don't think anybody would blink an eye going.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yep,
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: and then I look at the Raiders game, Raiders are heading in a very bad direction right now.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_01]: Houston, yeah, they had the big win this last week, but I think we're figuring out, Baltimore is not very good.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: No, their defense is terrible, Lamar is hurt.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the Kansas City went against them.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody was like, oh, Kansas City's back.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure how much I'd really read into that win now because Baltimore, like I said, maybe the worst defense in football.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_01]: And not that the chiefs, like you said earlier, chiefs offense looking like they're getting some things figured out, but I do.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Broncos have a real chance to go on a great run here, build some confidence, really get Botanix locked in.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: And month of October is where he started taking off last year.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: I really do think that that could happen here again.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: That fourth quarter, going 9 of 10.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: And just there were some really nice throws within that grouping there.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that's what he needed just that confidence boost of, hey, I can do this.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: I just got to trust my, you know, my technique.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: I've got to go out there, trust what the coach has given me and and maybe this is what really like I said takes him off to be in that guy that went on huge run of what like.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no you went on up here that'd be great to see again my concern with it and I'm I'm with you.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think six and I was more likely than two and four.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: My concern right now is the offensive line the Broncos haven't really and this is a problem across the league right like there's just not enough good offensive line play so like once you start getting in the depth it can get scary fast but you're down one now it's been this call what it has been the strength of the offense outside the red zone play calling design.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_02]: You lose another one for extended time.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_02]: You might be in some trouble.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_02]: And as encourages, we are about bonus.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_02]: And the run game, what we've seen, of it's specifically bonus.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_02]: Statistically this season, he's still been one of the, he's had been one of the lower ranked quarterbacks win under pressure, and this dates back, it's not just this season, he's better this season, but last season, especially I think he was out of 40 qualifying quarterbacks with a minimum dropbacks.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think he was the lowest rank in a pressure dropback EPA per play.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_02]: That's not on him because the EPA proposed a system stat at the end of the day on the variables change so like it's still like it's just one isolated number, but it is a concern something to keep an eye on with bonus because I have very little doubt that now that power is is out the pressure rates going to go up he needs to be better under pressure and.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's that's what you want from your quarterback, right?
- 26:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like when things like happen you if your quarterback's going to be the guy and guys go down around on their plugin and plan He needs to elevate his play I do worry about him putting too much on himself Still maybe that with the success of this last game he can be a little bit more, you know, within the structure calm and not be as hyped up Happy feet that we were seeing early on but
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: when players start to fall around him, that's when you find out if your guy is a franchise caliber guy, because they have to, you know, keep the ship afloat.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: Bossman J, $20 coming in here, also a member, good to see you.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much for the super chat.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_02]: Look in snazzy there with your pick with your beautiful bride.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_02]: Says what's up fellas, showing some love?
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: Well,
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate that, boss man.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're doing well, hope you had a great Tuesday and hope you're riding high like the Broncos as well.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_02]: So Carl, back to this next six game stretch that kind of, I'd like to look at the season and more in like quarter quarter quarter quarter.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: Right quarter.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: Snapshot, but like six games, you know, that how it looks especially because the biocomutally after it makes sense to kind of look at it that way as well.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: Right now.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: If I were a betting man, I would probably put the over under on a four and a half personally for the Broncos win total.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_02]: So over under there.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see what the offensive line looks like, but you do have some very win-able games.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think I would take the over.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: I probably would bet five and one over the next six.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: But four and a half seems like the line and I don't know if I would touch it.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it would be a tough bet to make.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm with you, I'd probably go the over.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe this is just, again, us riding high after a great win.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: And but at the same time, there's a lot of these teams that are going in the wrong direction.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: And Broncos, I just think that they're starting to finally get some things going on offense.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: We saw a few things working.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: We see the run game starting to really click and they're finally starting to figure out how to use some of these guys.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_01]: I just think the best of the head for the Broncos right now for the season.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: I really think that they were kind of working some things out there to start September.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: They weren't quite, it's not that they weren't ready for the season.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's just we've seen this with Sean Payton where he kind of still does almost like an extended preseason where he's still trying to figure out all the pieces and it's annoying.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: because those games count, we've saw Cincinnati last year.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: They went on a tiered-in the season, and the reason they make the playoffs is because they snunk up the early part of the year.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, how about the Raiders dropping weak are the Patriots dropping weak one to the Raiders?
- 29:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like that kind of thing.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, could come back to Baitia.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_02]: So, those games count, unfortunately, just too much.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: Be sure.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: And one that doesn't bite us in the butt is, it's still coming in.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, maybe I shouldn't say, but he just say, right now, crush, I've been working with you.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm with you, but he says, who would take over that on her?
- 29:53[SPEAKER_02]: Harvey or Bryant?
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's probably Harvey just because there is less competition in front of him.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_02]: And he has a more defined volume rule right now.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_02]: He's starting to get an uptake in the touches.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: And it's not just the run game.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's the past game as well.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll knock on wood.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: But like we all know, elephant in the room is Dobbins injury history.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_02]: So I think right now, Brian, he definitely has a role, but it's more like the dirty work guy on offense.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't really blend itself to targets and maybe it will at some point.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: But I think the answer is probably Harvey, just given what's in front of him and the defined rules that he already has.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if I had to put,
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: The number of players ahead of Bryant that I think are going to get more targets, I think I'd probably put them about number five or six on the list.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, when you've got Sutton, you've got Ingram, you've got the two running backs, you've got Franklin.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think all those guys will be ahead of him and target share, and then you've got Bryant.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's just hard to see how he's gonna become that guy.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: Now he could become, you know, rookie of the year just because he's such a great run blocker and he's bring some big plays to help break open games.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: We saw that a couple weeks ago, where big play around the edge,
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: he was the guy leading the way and set a really, really nice block for a touchdown for Dobbins.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, that's not really going to get recognized as much as the actual stats of being a receiver.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: So I think Harvey's going to get more of an opportunity this last week.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he didn't get very many, many carries.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: I really think that was just a matchup thing of, hey, we are going to get a really tough opponent.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: We just need our veteran in there to carry the load for this game.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's going to be more, but closer to a 50-50 split for these next few games.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: And especially, like I said, we've got some really bad run defenses where offensive line could move some people.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: And if he gets even just a little bit of a crease, boom, he could be gone.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is going to be a really good opportunity for him to have more explosive plays once again.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_01]: Well, there's in the run game or the past game.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to have some great
- 32:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, just like looking at the stats for Harvey and Brian like Brian's getting out there for snap so far this season, but he has three targets compared to 13 from Harvey and you're talking running that that's just the past game so It's probably has to be Harvey for this one for now, but we'll see.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_02]: I got a lot of love for the dog.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, this is summit summit.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_02]: He's out.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's cold.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's he's chill.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_02]: He's 0 100 man.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_02]: He's a good dog though.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, but yeah, getting on it.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_02]: Um, Carl, we haven't had a chance to talk too much about your thoughts on this Eagles game as well.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, what does it?
- 32:44[SPEAKER_02]: What is going into Philly?
- 32:45[SPEAKER_02]: Denver's first win in Philly since 1987, I want to say, uh, mean to you.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like, is this a biggest win since Super Bowl 50?
- 32:54[SPEAKER_02]: Is this going to springboard the Broncos or are the Eagles?
- 32:58[SPEAKER_02]: actually good this season.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, like, obviously going in and it wouldn't even be a matter of who they played, like coming back down 14 in the fourth quarter and playing like they did, uh, defense and offense would be awesome, but doing it on the road in filly with undefeated Super Bowl champion.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's huge, uh, but what your just overall thoughts, uh, for that victory.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_02]: And is it as big as Broncos is feeling right now?
- 33:22[SPEAKER_02]: And do you think it'll remain that big going
- 33:30[SPEAKER_01]: I would put it as the second biggest win and talking about a nice win here.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get to this real quick.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: Before I finished my thought here.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: We got Denver Luke coming in with the 199 saying how many sex does Nick have in the next five games?
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: I would probably put the over under at six.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's hard to get one sack per game but I think he's got a real chance to get multiple sex like he's been doing in a couple of these games and especially these quarterbacks that are going to hold onto the ball
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: when I'm looking at they just they want big plays down the field and there are a couple younger quarterbacks that just sometimes don't feel the pressure like they should.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: So I do.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to have I was they probably I'd go the under I'd probably put it at five but it would not surprise me if he has six or more.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: I would say five.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_02]: One per game average would be
- 34:24[SPEAKER_02]: But you never know.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think as big as it is for who they're playing are the offensive lines coming up, can the Broncos get a lead coming up in these games?
- 34:33[SPEAKER_02]: It feels like these have been a lot of tight games, but can it be a game where you're up, 10, 14, and the fourth quarter, and they have three possessions ahead of them, and they're an obvious dropback spread them out situations, especially with fields and dart coming down the tracks.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think, though, that's a big question.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_02]: Can the offense, you know, not sleepwalk through the first three quarters, get a lead and really let these guys pin their ears back for a bigger chunk of the game.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see you on.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, Benito, maybe the best pass rusher in football right now.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's been really unbelievable.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_02]: Sachs can come in bunches.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_02]: I hope we're appreciated in the runny's end right now.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of like,
- 35:18[SPEAKER_02]: Right now he's on pace to break the sack record, Scott in the background saying right now he's on pace for 24 and FL record of 22.5.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_02]: Extra game obviously helps, got to stay healthy.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_02]: But Sacks kind of like turnovers can come in bunch and sometimes he'll go quiet and we had Von Miller who was a generational player and there'd be three or four games just like, oh, where's Von?
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: He's making an impact.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: You're just not seeing the Sacks on the stat sheet, but I really, yeah, I think the biggest thing for his sack total and keeping the party going,
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: little bit more in control from the game and hopefully Denver can do that as they show it versus the Bengals and we talked about earlier when they play inferior opponents for the most part in the Sean Peyton era they take it to him.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah so anyway back to the Eagles game I'd call it the second biggest win since the Super Bowl.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think beating the chiefs in 2023 getting that monkey off our back
- 36:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, every time we played him, we saw the stat of, oh, they're 11 or no, they're 12 and Ogan sprung up as, you know, however high it got, I think that was a bigger win for the organization, just to start believing, okay, we can play against some top tier opponents and be okay.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: I would say this one is going to meet a lot more for the building of the overall team in the sense of,
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: We have Super Bowl aspirations.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: These are the kind of games we've got to go win.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_01]: You can't just beat up on the inferior opponents, squeak into the playoffs and expect that you're all said now, gonna click to be able to beat these top tier teams.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to go prove that you can do it in the regular season first.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: And so being able to do it the way that they did the Eagles, probably the best closing team in football over the last year and a half.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Jalen Hurts, what was it?
- 37:12[SPEAKER_01]: He'd won like 21 at 22 games that he played the entire game.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said, they had lost at home hardly at all.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: There's just a lot of things there.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said, they closed out those closed games.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos have struggled to close out closed games.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: And it's kind of when the Eagles got the ball back and like are we really going to lose a third game with Zeros on the clock?
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: you know, they're going to throw this hail Mary and thankfully the two receivers fought over it.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: And they just kind of won the game for us.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: But I really was kind of nervous about what we really not going to close out one more game.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: And thankfully things worked out.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: But to see them make that come back of being down 14, not being in panic mode.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: Nope, we got this.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think one, it's a big confidence booster for
- 38:03[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said, the way that he played, I think for the defense, the way that they made adjustments in that game.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_01]: One, I think that's really big for Bands Joseph to be like, okay, what we've been doing isn't quite working like it's it's not bad, but it's not well, it's not the best we could be doing.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: And so all of a sudden he switched to a lot of half zone half man coverage.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_01]: And it really confused Jalen Hertz in that offense.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_01]: And it just really set them up where, okay, nope, they're not scoring again.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what gave the Broncos an actual opportunity there.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: So, like I said, big, big showing, great to see the run game, be able to run against them, the past game, like I said, Sutton being able to beat one of the best corners in football.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's quietly
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of weird.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: You don't think he's been having these kind of stats, but over the last 17 games he is third in receiving yards in the NFL.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_01]: Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase are the only two ahead of him in receiving yards.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_01]: That is a crazy staff for him.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_01]: He is ninth in touchdowns.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_01]: He is ninth in receptions.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: So he is playing like a top 10,
- 39:20[SPEAKER_01]: Now he gets a lot of targets, said helps, but it just kind of shows like he's really become something more than he has been.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: And and I think that's the great thing for the Broncos is they keep showing like, well, need a great season last year.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's playing even better this year.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: Cooper had a great season last year.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_01]: He is playing better than he did last year.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_01]: Troy Franklin has become a whole new player for us.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_01]: The offensive line like Garrett Bols was a really good left tackle.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's playing like a top two three left tackle in football.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_01]: You could make the argument.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_01]: He is the best left tackle in football right now.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think there's some other guys that are playing really well, but I'm just saying like he is having an outstanding season and usually it takes him about four or five games to really kind of get into the year.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: Nope, he hit the ground running for the Broncos and so there's just a lot of guys that I'm looking at and I'm going, okay, yeah, they've really taken that next step that has helped him to elevate the steam from, okay, we can make the playoffs.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: Now we can actually compete
- 40:27[SPEAKER_01]: Colts are looking like maybe top two or three team in football.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos should have won that game.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, really, really stupid penalties.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_01]: The only reason they didn't win that game.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know if we discussed it, but a lot of the stats point to the Colts should have won that by more, but like the discrepancy and zone events, which honestly might be this team's like super power this season.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_02]: How good the Broncos are.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_02]: in the red zone, both sides of the ball.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: They've been awesome on the offensive side of converting and really good at stifling the other teams.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: And when you're scoring seven and the other team scoring three when you get down there, that's pretty much, you know, turnover, battle, that's worthy of like a turnover.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 41:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'd love to get another chance at the Colts.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully in Denver this time.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_02]: But we'll see.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_02]: Other thoughts on this Eagles Broncos game just takeaways.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: Specifically, again, Bonyx really good in the fourth quarter specifically, like 10 or 12 or something like that.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_02]: a lot of good throws on tape as well.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_02]: I thought there was some big time throws across the tape in this one.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: So thought it was a better game for him.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: Took some snacks.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he shouldn't have took points off the board.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: Not all on him.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: Offensive line miscommunications stuff like that.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_02]: But for me,
- 41:44[SPEAKER_02]: something that I thought that I think he only ran like three times in the game four times, but there was just like a gravity and like a feeling like after he actually started to tuck the ball and run, it really felt like it opened things up for the offense as well.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_02]: And I know that you never want the quarterback scramble to be the basis of your offense by any means, but I do wish you'll be in six to what 215 pounds and as twitching as athletic as he is,
- 42:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'd love to see him tuck the ball and run more.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_02]: You gotta protect yourself.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like he's shifting up in the open field that you don't see him taking a lot of just like square big hits as well.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_02]: And I just think he could use that a lot more.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_02]: A lot more often, especially if the offense is a little DOA, kind of like we've seen that we've seen at some point this season from the Broncos and the past game specifically.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_02]: That was a big takeaway.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't heard anybody talk about that.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_02]: I really mentioned it too much.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know the sample is small, but
- 42:44[SPEAKER_02]: Again, you see the, I think every single one was a successful play of as far as gaining at least half the Ardenish for the first down that was necessary and beating some guys open there.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_02]: So long as you can get outside and protect himself, I would love to see him tuck and run a little more.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's a little double edged sword because like you want him in the end of the day, he needs to be a pocket quarterback.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: He needs to be calm in the pocket, working on climbing the ladder, getting through his reads within the confines of a dropback pass game.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_01]: But he also is an athlete and it's a kind of get out of jail free card that I would love to see a little bit more and I feel like as soon as he started doing that it kind of all of something offence was Successful and getting to good drives and points yeah well I look at the top tier quarterbacks minus Joe Burrow and Joe Burrow just has to run for his life anyway from the pocket whether he's running out of the pocket or in the pocket, but My homes
- 43:37[SPEAKER_01]: very underrated runner of the football like he he understands that there was a play yesterday I was watching where it was complete man coverage across the board every defender turned their back he just took off running for a 15 yard game like oh yep you're all gonna have your back to meet boom this is an easy easy carry and of course Josh Allen the way the he can run the more the way that he can run
- 44:00[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, you just look at all those top tier quarterbacks are going, okay.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: They use their legs to make a defense after respect.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: I can do this at any point.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said, you got to be careful with it.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: But I think Beau is very smart.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like he like he said, he doesn't take the big hits.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_01]: He only takes the chances when he really needs to.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: There's a couple of times where I'm like, man, you could pick up another five yards if he didn't slide there.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, I'm going, okay, that's fine.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: You picked up the first down.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's all we needed.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_01]: I don't carry about you going and getting hit, picking up that extra five yards.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so yes, it is.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's a very big opportunity for him to make a defense have to really respect that.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe keep an extra defender in to watch where he's going, which makes things easier down the field, makes teams have to play a little bit more zone coverage.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: where maybe you can take advantage of a few things that otherwise wouldn't be there.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: It just, it does.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: It changes the numbers on the field of how the defense has to play.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_01]: And there were times last year, like early in the year, he took off running a lot and maybe it was too often.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_01]: But it felt like almost by the end of the year, he was not taking off enough.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: There's times where you could have ran for a first down, but try to squeak one into a really tight window and maybe a receiver dropped it or something like that, I'm like, just take off, dude.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: Just go get the first down.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: No worry about it.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'd love to see that a little bit more.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_01]: He does it in the red zone a lot.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: And that's great.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's part of why the Broncos are so good in the red zone is because he will take off.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: If, hey, everybody's covered, boom, I'm going for,
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: for first down touchdown, whatever it may be.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like a part of a natural part and evolutionary addition to what they're already calling as well, because right now, as far as like a stagnant's the wrong word, but like a traditional dropback with a past game in the pocket, Boenix has struggled there and Sean Payton and the Broncos, because of that, I have designed a lot more movement from their quarterback in the run game.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be fine with him tucking it.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_02]: More often than he is right now.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_02]: So he, I think he protects the football really well.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_02]: Also, the opposite of Justin Fields is great athlete, but he puts the ball on the chair a lot.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_02]: But I'd just, I'd be,
- 46:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'd like to see him get a little bit more involved in the run game from now and then because he does, you can see him in the open field, like he is a good athlete.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that could just bring another element to the offense and just set them up in a better situation, especially while they're still kind of working some of the kinks in the down to down efficiency of the past game.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_01]: Right, and Tony Romo brought that up of, I think Vic Vanjo had said,
- 46:43[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, he's more athletic than Baker may feel.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if his arm is as strong, but he's definitely, I think he's a better athlete for sure.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_02]: He's twitchier, like, yes, what are getting in the ground and moving forward is like, oh my god, like this, look like a basketball player that I'm always shocked when I see him tuck the ball on none.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: And he'll make guys miss and they open field.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he really does well.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_01]: So like I said, take off if you got the opportunity
- 47:11[SPEAKER_01]: make it a weapon for sure, you know, it just makes defense is really have to defend so many parts of the field.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_01]: And when you have to worry about a quarterback taking off, you know, when you're playing man coverage, you're kind of looking over your shoulder like, has he taken off and I'm just looking silly running away from him as he's running towards me.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, I completely agree with you, maybe not once the jets, because I think you can just win without having to expose them to any of that.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: But when you get against like the chiefs, some of these tougher opponents that can become a huge weapon that really gives you the advantage.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_02]: The one thing that caps the potential of Bonix becoming a little bit more utilizes a scrambler is that the Broncos have been getting way more zone.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_02]: Looks defensively and eyes on the quarterback.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_02]: I give it to man and you clear out an area.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_02]: The quarterback can run 20, 30 yards with Bonix's athleticism against man.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_02]: They're not really getting man looks as much right now because Sean Payton can design those up.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_02]: And they're just struggling a little bit more, again, zone.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_02]: So
- 48:10[SPEAKER_02]: I thought they'd better get to the Eagles there in the second half, but that's something it does cap it a little bit.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_02]: Cody W coming in five dollars says I think we saw Sean and Ingram argument gets Ingram the ball more Sean loves the fire and push back.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_02]: We've seen it with both last year.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_02]: They're all competitors man, and if you're just kind of you know.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_02]: Putting your head down.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, you don't want to Josh Gannon on the sideline incident, but you know, there's a lot of pride and Fire and these guys want to win.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, it was good to see him get involved in hopefully I think the ship is sail as far as ingram being the lead target gitter for this Broncos team this year I think we kind of talked about some hot takes.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_02]: I hate it look out for that ingram widers.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_02]: He were too Still a lot of season to go.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: So we will see on that front right now.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_02]: Probably is gonna be Franklin, but
- 48:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I love to see him get more involved because again, talking about beatings own defenses, working the middle of the field, something that's bone X has not, he has a lot of strengths, but those are some areas that we could see improvement on and having a tight end work that would help a lot.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: With the, the game that I've been in the room just had, does that, like I've seen on Twitter a lot today, people talking about trading for in the
- 49:23[SPEAKER_02]: Does his kind of game that anger him just had kind of make you go I think we're good at tight in there's other positions I've rather target than tight in I think tight in still on the field because in jokus a lot different than ingram honestly in joku would be coming for troutmans position more than anybody else so I think it comes down to what the decision makers feel about troutmans rule in there.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_02]: I know that's champagne you know loves him but I think that that's one the
- 49:52[SPEAKER_02]: But there's an injury or something we can talk about it.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_02]: But I think they might just roll with the trio they have barring injury.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, you're always looking to add talent.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_02]: And if you think you can be a five year plus player for you, certainly you can look into it.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's risky to just outright dismiss it, give an ever-nigrams injury history.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_02]: Luckily, we still have another three, four weeks before we have to make a decision there on that front.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's a, it's not as much an ingramed decision.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_02]: I think as it is, a trial and decision.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, yeah, that makes sense.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I don't mind ingram having that fire on the sideline one bit.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_01]: I do, my problem is when it becomes kind of like what the Eagles ran into this last week, or they had their receivers kind of go into social media and being upset, like your team is undefeated and you're frustrated with your role.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_01]: And I get it, like they want the ball,
- 50:50[SPEAKER_01]: But it's hard when you're winning to be that kind of guy, because it feels like it's almost like a selfish thing.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_01]: And we saw it this last week, like they changed up the game plan.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_01]: They went away from what was winning them all these games.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_01]: And try, you know, some kind of ways they tried to force beat it to them.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_01]: And yes, they got a lot more receiving yards, but they lost a game.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe kind of show is, hey, our formula was working.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we should really stick with what we've got.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_01]: And yes, I get that you're going to be frustrated
- 51:20[SPEAKER_01]: But you came here to win, I would hope.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_01]: And the team is bigger than an individual.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Ingrams that way.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_01]: I do think he is more of a team kind of guy.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_01]: But he also understands, I think I can be an impact guy for this team too.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: And right now, that hasn't been happening so far.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_01]: Part of it's been injury.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: Part of it's just been, often, is not completely functioning at full go yet.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think once they kind of get that chemistry built, then we'll begin to see a lot more of that connection.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said, being able to target the middle of the field, take on those zone coverages and make teams go, okay.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_01]: Man's not working, zones not working, what are we even going to try to do against this guy?
- 52:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, honestly, as far as trade goes right now, I think you're probably looking linebacker first and foremost, maybe defensive tackle if you want, or I think defensive tackle just because you can never have enough of those guys if you want to sub about Ozzarrique or Jackson for somebody better there.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_02]: It wouldn't be a big splash, but you know, just like in the margins and late left guard, honestly, is one that you keep an eye on.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_02]: If the
- 52:33[SPEAKER_02]: If the browns keep flailing, I don't know the contract looks like, but somebody like Joel Batinho who's just a veteran and been around for a bit, I can't imagine he cost too much to bring in.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_02]: That would be one to potentially keep an eye on, but those teams, those one or zero when teams right now, but final thing I wanted to talk about.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_02]: Carl, just with this team, unless there's anything else you want to talk about, but defense is great right now, obviously they're playing great.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_02]: They're top five in the league, probably the best pressure unit, they have some weaknesses, Riley Moss got to play a little better.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_02]: he's doing fine.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think the calls for him being replaced are warranted, but I would like to see a little bit more plays on the football from him as well.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's the big thing.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_02]: I can live with a little bit of some of the, especially playing as much man as they do opposite PS2.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: I can live with some of the chunk plays every once in a while.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_02]: We need some ball production from him as well.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_02]: And linebackers weakness, but coming back to ball production,
- 53:36[SPEAKER_02]: defense needs to start taking the ball away.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_02]: Denver right now only four takeaways on the season, which is kind of shocking to see how many hits they're getting on the quarterback.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_02]: I know they play a lot of mans, so you don't know if I is on the football as much, but hopefully they can get, I'm hoping this Eagles game, given how good they were in zone in the second half and that could be more of an Eagles thing than a Broncos thing.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_02]: But maybe being a little bit more varied in their coverage in their rush design as well.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_02]: Vance Joseph did a good job in that of love to be a little bit more varied year three under Vance Joseph a lot of the same players on the defense still as well.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_02]: And really if this defense is going to take it to the next level and become a super bowl caliber defense right now they're very good.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_02]: They have to start hunting and taking the ball away.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_02]: That's that's the difference and that's a level that we just aren't we're not there right now.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm with you.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_01]: I do hope that they play a little bit more in zone because they didn't look lost this year as they did last year.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they kind of forced, they were forced into playing some zone when Riley Moss went down, Pastor Tane was banged up there for a couple of games.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, linebackers were hitting miss.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_01]: And so they tried playing some zone.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_01]: And it did not look good.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_01]: Just guys looked like they didn't know where they're supposed to be that game against,
- 54:55[SPEAKER_01]: against the Eagles.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it looked very, very competent.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: So I think you could mix in a little bit more, which takes a little bit of pressure off Riley Moss, too.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's got the biggest spotlight on the team other than Bonyx on him, because like I said, he's given up some of these trunk place.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_01]: But he has been trusted to be left on an island, sometimes against the number one wide receiver.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's certain follows a lot, but there's still those times where Riley
- 55:24[SPEAKER_01]: good luck.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to have to go against such a such guy today a little bit.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_01]: And we've also played some great number two wide receivers, too.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_01]: You think of Devonti Smith, he's taken with the, yeah, there's been some really good guys.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_01]: And he's held his own, I guess he's given up a couple catches.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_01]: But by the end of it, you're kind of going, okay, yep, that was a 30 yard catch, but then
- 55:55[SPEAKER_01]: three points.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_01]: We can handle that.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if you're giving up the touchdowns, that's when it becomes a problem.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: And it's touchdown to Allen, Keenan Allen, that was not him.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_01]: He had to cover for like five seconds, six seconds.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_01]: It was a perfect throw.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_01]: He was still right there in perfect coverage.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't blame him on that one one bit.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I think he's having a good season so far.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think the cornerbacks, they've been, they've been put in the most pressure.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_01]: of anybody on that defense because like I said, they're they're being asked to be in straight man coverage.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_01]: Pass rushes and get home.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_01]: You better be able to cover for four or five seconds.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'll thankfully pass rushes being in home most of the time, but they really are there.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_01]: They're being put on island and said, we need you to be great.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_01]: And and so far, I think they've
- 56:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think they've done admirably, not 100% perfect by any means, but they've been pretty darn good for that.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_01]: So, and they've got some easier matchups coming up now.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're really gonna see that secondary begin to take over a little bit, and like I said, they gotta start catching these balls.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_01]: They gotta punga, man.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_01]: He had such an amazing opportunity there to have a pick six and just dropped it.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_01]: So, can't have that moving forward.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_01]: When you get into some of these closer games,
- 57:14[SPEAKER_01]: Pick six was the big difference there.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_01]: It changed the entire course of that game.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_01]: Chiefs driving to score a touchdown.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_01]: Boom, all of a sudden, it turns into seven points the other way.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's a 14-point swing in a game that ended up in a four-point game.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt about that.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_02]: I do see a question from Todd asking about Germain Pratt.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to say the Raiders are so dysfunctional right now.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he comes in for a trial.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's like a practice squad.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_02]: But are you wanting to move on from the Vell Bailey or any of your other undrafted guys, the special teams ones, linebackers as well?
- 57:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think right now you're probably still in wait and see an evaluation mode with the linebackers you have, luckily you're not, don't have the worst matchups coming up on that front.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_02]: But if they, you know,
- 58:05[SPEAKER_02]: So let's say that Jets just run them over and the linebackers are getting exposed because they can't cover a brief haul slash Justin fields at the same time, then maybe we have a conversation that changed some things, but right now, yeah, just a lot of the defense are playing great pass rushes phenomenal PS2 bounce back the last two weeks, but
- 58:25[SPEAKER_02]: Really, I think the mark of a great defense is not just stopping the opposing team, not just getting after the quarterback, it's taken the ball away.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_02]: And right now Denver is not doing that to a high degree.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_02]: So something something to aim for and
- 58:40[SPEAKER_02]: with Justin Fields coming up, got a chance to do that.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_02]: So hopefully, you know, if those some of those hits on the quarterback starts to wrap around with those arms and punch in that ball out as well.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I really feel good about the Broncos.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's next six game stretch.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_02]: I want everybody to remember the the lows of those two losses that we had followed by the high event Eagle game and just like think about cutting the middle there.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_02]: So obviously, you can
- 59:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, out of these next six games, five games, definitely winnable.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_02]: Denver might lose one of them, not the end of the world.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, by name means bonus might play bad on one, defense might play bad on one.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_02]: What's the trend?
- 59:16[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, with the overall sample say.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_02]: So feeling good about this team concern right now at the offensive line, but there's just teams don't really have depth on the offensive line anyway.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_02]: So Sean Peyton, Bonix, uh, Zach Streef,
- 59:31[SPEAKER_02]: Okay guys, I was on you, get the job done, and whoever steps up next guy up.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_02]: So, any final thoughts, Carl Denver is in a good spot, and the AFC is open, AFC West is open.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_02]: Why not Denver?
- 59:44[SPEAKER_02]: Why not this year?
- 59:45[SPEAKER_02]: You know, just stack wins, and we'll see where we fall.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like I said, I've been riding high all day, you know, I live in chiefs kingdom or whatever you want to call it.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_01]: And the chiefs fans very much were pretty quiet today.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't get any text in.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, just see the chiefs last night.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's always kind of a nice feeling when they have that little bit of a let down when they've been the team doing that every almost every week it seems like last year now to have that happen to them.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_01]: But for the Broncos, like I said, they're they're heading in a right direction got a real opportunity to to seize this division with the chargers offensive line down bad they're probably going to struggle Hampton ended up getting out for maybe four weeks here.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_01]: raiders not looking great.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_01]: This really is the time for the Broncos to capture this division and show that they deserve to be at the top of it.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt about that.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt about that.

- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to hold you to it for your
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_02]: but you send in to Chad later though.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I'll go, I think this will be a really good game for the Broncos offense, and I'm gonna go 31 to 10.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is that game where Broncos just really take off, and like I said earlier, when the Broncos played an inferior opponent, it seems like last year they dominated.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_01]: It was a two touchdown kind of game, and I feel like that's gonna be where we see the Broncos in this one.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_01]: What was the Broncos Falcon score last season?
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_02]: 38 to six.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think we're looking at a 38 to six kind of game here, which scares me because I'm typically, you know, cramudge and, uh, let's see, I'm prove it again.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_02]: But I think this is the team that's realy and
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so shocked.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_02]: Aaron Glenn, like how good he was last with all the injuries, the lions, and like better than the sum of their parts, the jets have pieces.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_02]: They're playing like absolute dogwalk.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_02]: The offense is like kind of fun in a run design kind of way get some great, their defense is so freaking bad.
- 1:03:06[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm gonna go Denver right now.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think I'll go 33 to 12.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_02]: That's too much.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_02]: 33 to nine.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_00]: We'll go that way.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, nice.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_02]: Then it was going to be in my 30th.
- 1:03:17[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, there it is.
- 1:03:17[SPEAKER_02]: I'm still a Mr. Raphshus.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you guys.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get out of here.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_02]: Some of you say bye.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_02]: I can't.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
