A whole crew from Bonner-Prendie High School in Pennsylvania traveled to New York to cheer on their own rising star, Kevin McGonigle, now crushing it as a rookie shortstop/third baseman for the Detroit Tigers. At just 21, he’s hitting .283 with a stellar .812 OPS, six homers, and 30 RBIs—and he just signed an eight-year, $150 million extension. His hometown is absolutely riding him, with former coaches and teachers traveling to every game, and the whole community now glued to the Tigers’ season.
