October 15th
Soft pop, Afrobeat, Motown, ’90s R&B and reggae come together in today’s episode of The Music Dial, with stories connected to October 15.
We celebrate Richard Carpenter and Ginuwine, remember the revolutionary legacy of Fela Kuti, revisit The Four Tops reaching number one with Reach Out I’ll Be There, and follow the remarkable journey of UB40’s Red Red Wine — a song that finally topped the U.S. chart five years after its original release.
One date, several generations, and music stretching from classic pop and soul to Afrobeat, R&B and reggae.
