- 0:56Speaker 1: feeling because quarterback is so important, especially in college football,
- 1:01Speaker 1: but in the NFL, too. The Jets, it's been a
- 1:05Speaker 1: while since they've gotten it right. When's the last time
- 1:07Speaker 1: the Jets got quarterback right?
- 1:09Speaker 2: Boomer Esiason. I mean, Chad Pennington was a good quarterback.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Solid quarterback for them.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Solid, yeah.
- 1:16Speaker 2: But even the years Rex Ryan was taking them to
- 1:18Speaker 2: the AFC Championship, Mark Sanchez was.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I mean, they got it right with Sam Darnold. I mean,
- 1:21Speaker 3: I just think their organization's just not good.
- 1:26Speaker 1: They don't have the quarterback right when the other pieces
- 1:28Speaker 1: are bad and then the.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Well, those Rex Ryan teams, it was Sanchez, right? Was
- 1:32Speaker 2: that the quarterback? Yeah, I mean, the defense was just
- 1:34Speaker 2: so good. Sanchez was so good.
- 1:35Speaker 3: And the running game.
- 1:36Speaker 2: And the run game with Curtis Martin. So if I
- 1:38Speaker 2: asked you.
- 1:40Speaker 3: This is easy for me. Who's the New York.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Jets in college football about not getting quarterback right?
- 1:47Speaker 3: If Kirk Ferentz could get it right, I will. I
- 1:50Speaker 3: was going to say I will. Are we all going there?
- 1:52Speaker 3: You just look since Brad Banks. And Brad Banks was
- 1:54Speaker 3: a really good quarterback. So I think his first game
- 1:57Speaker 3: was in 1999. Kirk's was as the head coach of Iowa,
- 2:01Speaker 3: but in the last almost 30 years, outside of Brad Banks, C.J.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Bethward was okay.
- 2:07Speaker 2: He was on some NFL rosters.
- 2:09Speaker 3: But I'll give you Ricky Stanzi, Matt Rogers, Spencer Petros,
- 2:14Speaker 3: Mark Gronowski from last year. This year they've got Hank Brown.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I mean, the quarterback play has been awful. They have
- 2:21Speaker 3: filled the NFL with tight ends. They've had good running backs,
- 2:26Speaker 3: but they... And great defenses.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Great defenses. I mean, they have just... Because either of
- 2:31Speaker 2: Ferentz's offensive philosophy or just the fact he can't get
- 2:34Speaker 2: quarterback right, they have wasted a window, honestly.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, they're leading the FBS right now in
- 2:39Speaker 3: scoring defense, but nobody knows that because it doesn't matter.
- 2:43Speaker 3: We may know it after the weekend. I mean, if
- 2:45Speaker 3: they are to go into the big house and win
- 2:46Speaker 3: that game as five-and-a-half-point underdogs, that would be impressive. But obviously,
- 2:49Speaker 3: Michigan is offensively challenged, so that could be one of those...
- 2:54Speaker 3: Was it 3-2 Auburn-Mississippi State?
- 2:57Speaker 1: Iowa-Michigan looks like one of those games.
- 2:59Speaker 3: What is it when those.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Is it Spider-Verse when all the Spider-Men are pointing at
- 3:03Speaker 1: each other?
- 3:03Speaker 4: Yeah, that was a meme from the original Spider-Man cartoon
- 3:07Speaker 4: and referenced in the Spider-Verse movie.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Yeah, so that's what this feels like.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Iowa and Michigan looking at each other this weekend.
- 3:12Speaker 2: It's the same thing. You're all the same people.
- 3:14Speaker 3: We're the same thing.
- 3:14Speaker 2: They are. I mean, they are.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Can you make a case?
- 3:18Speaker 1: Now, I'm not doing this for show here, but It's
- 3:21Speaker 1: been a while since Auburn got quarterback right. And we'll
- 3:25Speaker 1: see what Byron Brown ends up being.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Is it Bo Nix?
- 3:28Speaker 2: Is it Jarrett Stidham? Where do we go back to where.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Auburn got it right?
- 3:31Speaker 1: Much like the Jets when they had quarterback. I mean,
- 3:34Speaker 1: Bo Nix was a pretty good quarterback.
- 3:35Speaker 3: I'm going back to Nick Marshall, though. That's where I'd
- 3:37Speaker 3: go back, yeah. I would.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I mean, Stidham took them to an SEC championship. And
- 3:41Speaker 1: he's still playing.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, he's a backup. Here's something to look at,
- 3:45Speaker 3: and I didn't look this up for Iowa. When is
- 3:47Speaker 3: the last time Auburn had an all-conference quarterback? It was
- 3:51Speaker 3: probably Cam Newton. Oh, yeah.
- 3:54Speaker 1: You can't go back past Cam Newton. Nick Marshall is
- 3:56Speaker 1: where I went back to as well. I mean, it's
- 4:00Speaker 1: a tough— they played Baylor in Florida, so their schedule is
- 4:04Speaker 1: tougher than most. But to this point, Byron Brown has
- 4:07Speaker 1: been disappointing to me.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I don't know how many people— I heard McElroy talking about
- 4:11Speaker 2: it from ESPN yesterday. Lugenbill has said it. Klatt has
- 4:15Speaker 2: said it. Dusty Dvorak has said it. aaron murray has
- 4:20Speaker 2: every analyst i hear is like the dude is just
- 4:23Speaker 2: late on every throw like he is late every single
- 4:28Speaker 2: time mack roy was talking about it on his uh
- 4:30Speaker 2: either on jocks or zsp and stuff i'm not sure
- 4:32Speaker 2: where the cut was from that i heard greg say
- 4:33Speaker 2: this but greg was like man there was a play
- 4:35Speaker 2: in that game where he had a uh Receiver streaking
- 4:40Speaker 2: down the sidelines.
- 4:40Speaker 3: He pumped three times. And he's like, get rid of
- 4:44Speaker 3: the football.
- 4:44Speaker 2: What are you doing? And he goes, and then he
- 4:46Speaker 2: missed him. He goes, it's a touchdown. It's an absolute
- 4:49Speaker 2: walk-in touchdown. And he pumped, pumped, pumped, or hitched, hitch, hitch, hitch,
- 4:53Speaker 2: and then threw. He's like, see it, read it, throw it,
- 4:57Speaker 2: is what Greg was saying. And Greg's not alone in this.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Like, I've heard so many analysts say this about him.
- 5:02Speaker 3: I mean, Florida, outside of Kyle Trask, it was Tebow.
- 5:07Speaker 3: I mean, Florida hadn't gotten quarterback, right?
- 5:09Speaker 1: Yeah, what year is that now? That's back to 2009.
- 5:11Speaker 2: 2009, yeah.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Trask was good in 2020. That was a.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Good football team. No, really good football team. Yeah, other
- 5:18Speaker 3: than that. I mean, outside of– I mean, Kellen Mond
- 5:22Speaker 3: was okay. Johnny Manziel was a stud. But, I mean,
- 5:24Speaker 3: Texas A & M doesn't really seem to get quarterback.
- 5:26Speaker 3: They don't. Kellen Mond was better than we were– or
- 5:28Speaker 3: his numbers were better than he was.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Does that make sense?
- 5:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Like, they didn't– It's Texas A & M, so they
- 5:35Speaker 2: never have anything to show for anything because they're Texas
- 5:37Speaker 2: A & M. But Monset, all these school records and all,
- 5:41Speaker 2: you know, SEC, I would guess he may be top
- 5:44Speaker 2: ten passing yards in SEC history, if I look.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll give you another one.
- 5:48Speaker 2: And they've got nothing to show for it.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Penn State. I mean, since Trace McSorley going back to
- 5:52Speaker 3: that 2016 Rose Bowl, like Drew Allard was okay, Sean
- 5:55Speaker 3: Clifford was okay, but they don't get quarterback, right?
- 5:58Speaker 1: It seems like they really went Trace McSorley– Xerox, they
- 6:03Speaker 1: tried to Xerox him a couple of times and got
- 6:05Speaker 1: lesser value, like their quarterback ink was running out in
- 6:08Speaker 1: their Xerox machine.
- 6:09Speaker 3: It's pretty incredible when you look at, I mean, NIL
- 6:14Speaker 3: gives you a big indication, the transfer portal of guys
- 6:16Speaker 3: that have already produced. Like Darian Mensah, it seemed like
- 6:21Speaker 3: a no-brainer. Like I said at all offseason, this is
- 6:23Speaker 3: going to be an upgrade over what you had with
- 6:25Speaker 3: Carson Beck.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Well, that's why I think a lot of people criticized
- 6:28Speaker 1: Dabo at Clemson. We could get to the point they're
- 6:32Speaker 1: criticizing Elko at Texas A & M that it's hard
- 6:35Speaker 1: to move on from Marcel Reed because you were in
- 6:37Speaker 1: the playoffs last year. But, I mean, when you've got
- 6:40Speaker 1: money and you chose not to go get a quarterback
- 6:43Speaker 1: in the portal, you just said, okay, I'm going to
- 6:45Speaker 1: play with the guy I got. And then your quarterback
- 6:47Speaker 1: looks like he's less than. I mean, that's a damning
- 6:50Speaker 1: thing now in college football.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Here's another one. How about Notre Dame? C.J. Carr is
- 6:54Speaker 3: really good. But before that, Ian Book was okay. I mean, they're–
- 7:00Speaker 3: I mean, Tommy Reese is okay.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Tommy Reese.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Riley Leonard was who I was going to go to.
- 7:05Speaker 3: I mean, Riley Leonard did take them to a national
- 7:07Speaker 3: championship game.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Yeah. They had Hartman before that, right?
- 7:11Speaker 2: Sam Hartman?
- 7:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Sam Hartman. Sam Hartman after. After.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Okay.
- 7:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:16Speaker 1: They did the portal thing for a while. Not as
- 7:18Speaker 1: good as Miami's doing it.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Right. Yeah.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I mean, it's easy to take shots on them on
- 7:21Speaker 2: anything bad in football, but Florida State is in this
- 7:23Speaker 2: category as well. I don't know the last, I guess
- 7:26Speaker 2: Jordan Travis, so that's not that long ago. I mean,
- 7:28Speaker 2: that was still 2023, right? But boy, they're on a
- 7:32Speaker 2: bad run right now with quarterbacks. I say that on
- 7:36Speaker 2: the heels of Ashton Daniels throwing for 307 yards on
- 7:39Speaker 2: Alabama's defense at Tuscaloosa, but he's still not good.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Iowa's the answer.
- 7:47Speaker 1: If they had better offensive play, better quarterback play what
- 7:50Speaker 1: would the last 15 years have been?
- 7:52Speaker 3: But, I mean, some programs always get it right. Ohio
- 7:55Speaker 3: State and Alabama, you know, Oregon, Georgia.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know if Alabama always got it right.
- 8:03Speaker 1: They had a quarterback manager at times, but, you know,
- 8:08Speaker 1: from McElroy on, they've been pretty good.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I mean, when's the last.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Time Georgia– So, I mean, we're talking about 15 straight years. Oh, no,
- 8:15Speaker 3: that's a long time, yeah. I mean, when's the last
- 8:17Speaker 3: time Georgia's been bad at quarterbacking? It was the Joe Cox, right?
- 8:21Speaker 3: They don't really. Yeah, and that was pre-Kirby. They don't
- 8:23Speaker 3: really get.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Like, I feel like.
- 8:27Speaker 3: We discount Stetson.
- 8:29Speaker 5: They had terrible quarterback play the last few years of
- 8:31Speaker 5: Mark Rick.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Post-Aaron Murray, they were a god awful. No, they were.
- 8:34Speaker 2: And that's my point. And once Kirby took over, when
- 8:36Speaker 2: have they gotten it really, really wrong?
- 8:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:39Speaker 6: I mean.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Grayson Lambert was awful. Grayson Lambert was a starting quarterback
- 8:43Speaker 3: at Georgia? I thought Jacob Eason, Kirby's first quarterback, was
- 8:48Speaker 3: going to be good. Yeah, I know. Never worked out.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Never worked out.
- 8:51Speaker 2: But once he got it going, I mean, you're right.
- 8:53Speaker 2: We don't give enough credit to Stetson Bennett. And I
- 8:58Speaker 2: feel like Stetson Bennett 2.0 is quarterbacking them right now.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Is he ever going to get the credit, you think?
- 9:03Speaker 3: Probably not.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I mean, I feel like we've got, Jim, you mentioned
- 9:06Speaker 2: Xerox and quarterback. I feel like we've Xeroxed Stetson Bennett,
- 9:08Speaker 2: and he's starting for Georgia right now.
- 9:10Speaker 3: With Gunnar Stockton. With Gunnar Stockton, and nobody's ever going
- 9:12Speaker 3: to give him any credit.
- 9:13Speaker 1: So it gets us to the state of Mississippi, and
- 9:15Speaker 1: Brooks put this graphic out the other day. Better Mississippi
- 9:19Speaker 1: quarterback year. Was it what we're going through now with
- 9:23Speaker 1: Kamario Taylor and Trinidad Chambliss? are back in 2015 when
- 9:29Speaker 1: Chad Kelly and Dak.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Prescott was there. Oh, this is so much better. And
- 9:32Speaker 3: I came walking.
- 9:33Speaker 1: In and I said, Brooks puts out 100 graphics, 99
- 9:38Speaker 1: of them are good, but this ain't one. That's basically
- 9:40Speaker 1: what I said. I said, this is such an easy answer.
- 9:44Speaker 1: It's Trinidad and Camarillo. And Brown said, Not so fast,
- 9:48Speaker 1: my friend. And he started taking up for the numbers.
- 9:51Speaker 1: So give us the numbers, Brooks, on why Chad Kelly
- 9:54Speaker 1: and Dak Prescott is on this graphic.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Real quick, Brooks, before you do that, I think both
- 9:57Speaker 3: of these quarterbacks really good college quarterbacks obviously dac has
- 10:01Speaker 3: had a ton of success in the nfl and both
- 10:03Speaker 3: of these teams were highly highly ranked with all that
- 10:06Speaker 3: said i'm just going back i test it's not even
- 10:09Speaker 3: close but go.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Ahead you're going current current guys yeah me too but
- 10:12Speaker 1: then brown and now brooks are going to throw some
- 10:14Speaker 1: numbers out that that made this more interesting Yeah, certainly.
- 10:18Speaker 7: I mean, I'm not projecting out like what their pro
- 10:21Speaker 7: careers are going to look like. I do agree that
- 10:23Speaker 7: the 2026 versions are probably better pro prospects. Now, I
- 10:29Speaker 7: will say I don't know that either one of them
- 10:31Speaker 7: may have the bar that Dax set in the NFL.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 10:33Speaker 2: None of them may have Dax career. If you may,
- 10:36Speaker 2: we do this on four downs a lot. Lance, take
- 10:38Speaker 2: that group of four, you know, Chad Kelly. So take
- 10:41Speaker 2: that group of three. Best career, Dak Prescott, Trinidad Chambliss,
- 10:44Speaker 2: or Kamario Taylor in the NFL? I mean, you're going
- 10:46Speaker 2: to go Dak.
- 10:47Speaker 3: I would go Dak. What I've got, but Kamario seems
- 10:49Speaker 3: like he's going to be the guy.
- 10:50Speaker 2: I don't disagree.
- 10:51Speaker 3: I would go Dak. But I'd almost go Kamario Taylor. Well, okay.
- 10:54Speaker 7: Strictly in college, Chad Kelly was, it's been done since,
- 10:58Speaker 7: but he was only the third player in conference history
- 11:01Speaker 7: to have a 4,000-yard passing season and 30 touchdowns.
- 11:05Speaker 1: It blew me away when Brown told me that number.
- 11:07Speaker 2: That season, Brooks, and this is what I told Dunaway,
- 11:09Speaker 2: I was like, that is the 11th best single season
- 11:11Speaker 2: in SEC history. I mean, before we just crumbled Chad
- 11:15Speaker 2: Kelly up and threw him to the side. Anything else,
- 11:17Speaker 2: all you had to say was 4,000 yards. I was like,
- 11:20Speaker 2: in his career?
- 11:20Speaker 3: Nope. That year. That single year. I was like, are
- 11:23Speaker 3: you kidding?
- 11:24Speaker 5: And 30 touchdowns.
- 11:25Speaker 2: I told Dunaway, I was like, what if I told
- 11:27Speaker 2: you Hugh Freeze used to be able to get play
- 11:28Speaker 2: out of quarterbacks?
- 11:31Speaker 7: Yeah, and then that was actually Dak's senior season, not
- 11:34Speaker 7: the 2014 team that went to number one.
- 11:37Speaker 5: He had a better passing season in his senior year.
- 11:39Speaker 2: That is correct.
- 11:40Speaker 7: Had– I think 28 touchdowns, very low interception ratio, kind
- 11:45Speaker 7: of set himself up to be a pro prospect.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I just thought it was an interesting question.
- 11:50Speaker 7: A lot of the Mississippi folks, you know, latched onto
- 11:53Speaker 7: it and gave their opinion. There's some nostalgic people who
- 11:57Speaker 7: that was around my time graduating college.
- 11:59Speaker 3: So that was interesting.
- 12:01Speaker 7: I vividly remember how good the quarterback play was out
- 12:04Speaker 7: of Mississippi at that time.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you would have to go back more
- 12:07Speaker 3: than likely to Florida. One of these years with Florida State, Miami, Florida,
- 12:11Speaker 3: Florida State, when you've had two quarterbacks at this level
- 12:15Speaker 3: in the same state. Because I don't think Alabama and
- 12:18Speaker 3: Auburn have ever had that.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I would tell you that much like Dak, McElroy won
- 12:23Speaker 1: the national championship in 2009, but he had a much
- 12:26Speaker 1: better passing year in 2010. Like, I don't know what
- 12:29Speaker 1: his passing numbers were in 2012.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Yeah, no, they were better than 2009. He was one
- 12:33Speaker 2: of the better quarterbacks in the country. But, I mean,
- 12:35Speaker 2: Cam and Greg McIlroy is going to be hard to
- 12:39Speaker 2: match up to those.
- 12:39Speaker 3: It definitely was because A.J.
- 12:41Speaker 7: McCarron was the first 3,000-yard passer in school history.
- 12:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:44Speaker 2: I mean, Greg had a better year, there's no doubt.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Well, I was just tagging him. I was commuting him
- 12:48Speaker 3: with Cam.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, Cam, he weighs that one pretty heavily.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Well, I mean, there's a chance when it's all said
- 12:54Speaker 3: and done and it's not there yet. These could be
- 12:56Speaker 3: the greatest quarterbacks in those schools' histories. I mean, look,
- 12:58Speaker 3: we've got a Manning, a couple of Mannings at Ole Miss,
- 13:01Speaker 3: and then obviously you've got Dak at Mississippi State. But
- 13:05Speaker 3: the way this is trending, if they continue to play
- 13:07Speaker 3: like this, they are going to be the best quarterbacks
- 13:10Speaker 3: to ever play at those two universities.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Help me out on the panel here. Archie and Eli,
- 13:17Speaker 1: neither one of them won the Heisman, right?
- 13:19Speaker 3: That's correct.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Okay, so Trinidad could be the first Heisman Trophy winner
- 13:23Speaker 1: in Ole Miss history. Did anybody else win the Heisman
- 13:26Speaker 1: in Ole Miss history?
- 13:27Speaker 3: No.
- 13:27Speaker 6: Nope.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I mean, that'd be a pretty big deal.
- 13:29Speaker 3: That'd be a huge deal. A bigger deal would be
- 13:31Speaker 3: if Camario wins it at Mississippi State.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Yeah, because nobody's won it there either.
- 13:35Speaker 3: I don't know if they even had a finalist.
- 13:38Speaker 1: By the way, the Mississippi State AD, Zach Selman, has
- 13:42Speaker 1: seen all the talk, and he says, we will be
- 13:47Speaker 1: as competitive as we need to be on keeping Mario.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Camario Taylor. I hate he's having to say this. Well,
- 13:54Speaker 3: there's been such a.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Big discussion this week all over that he is saying
- 13:58Speaker 1: that when we get to the end of the year,
- 14:01Speaker 1: we'll be as competitive as we need to be.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Can you lock a guy into a contract already for
- 14:05Speaker 3: next year? You could.
- 14:07Speaker 2: There really are no rules right now.
- 14:09Speaker 1: By the way, Camario and his family have come out
- 14:12Speaker 1: and saying... you know, we're going to want market value,
- 14:16Speaker 1: but we're marooned. We chose Mississippi State for a reason.
- 14:19Speaker 3: That's why you get it done right now. Because, you know,
- 14:21Speaker 3: I was talking to a buddy yesterday who was looking
- 14:22Speaker 3: for tickets, and I was like, you could have gotten
- 14:25Speaker 3: get-ins for like– or pretty good tickets for 130 to
- 14:28Speaker 3: Starkville next week against Alabama. But much like those tickets,
- 14:32Speaker 3: if Camario beats Missouri and then beats Alabama– You might
- 14:35Speaker 3: be able to get him for $ 5 million next year
- 14:37Speaker 3: right now, but that number is going to continue to
- 14:39Speaker 3: go up. So I would buy low right now if
- 14:42Speaker 3: I am Mississippi State, and I'd lock that guy in.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Hey, a couple of injury notes that could impact a
- 14:48Speaker 1: couple of games. First of all, off-Broadway, if you're at
- 14:52Speaker 1: Hard Rock Bet and you're looking at games and you're
- 14:55Speaker 1: thinking to yourself, Colorado, Baylor, interesting game. DJ Lagway, probable.
- 15:00Speaker 1: So Lagway coming back, that's important to know in that game.
- 15:03Speaker 1: And in Wake Forest and Louisville, Gio Lopez questionable in
- 15:08Speaker 1: that game, which could manipulate on how you think about
- 15:11Speaker 1: that game.
- 15:12Speaker 2: The Brown Bandit looked at that one, actually. Wake Forest
- 15:14Speaker 2: and Louisville, Lance. Wake played pretty well against Miami. I
- 15:18Speaker 2: know you look at that score and you're like, Miami
- 15:20Speaker 2: dusted Wake. If you watch that game, Gio Lopez moved
- 15:23Speaker 2: the ball.
- 15:24Speaker 3: I was surprised because Gio Lopez was not a good
- 15:26Speaker 3: quarterback last year at Carolina, but much better in this system.
- 15:29Speaker 3: And I do think that they can have success moving
- 15:32Speaker 3: the football game On Louisville, the problem is Keenholz has
- 15:37Speaker 3: been so freaking good. Since that first half, the first
- 15:41Speaker 3: half against Ole Miss, he's completing almost 70% of his throws,
- 15:44Speaker 3: 11 touchdowns, no picks. So he's been virtually flawless. Yeah.
- 15:49Speaker 2: I looked at that, though, Dunaway, but with the unknown–
- 15:53Speaker 2: Nature of Gio Lopez, you couldn't pull the trigger on
- 15:55Speaker 2: Wake right there. But I think if Lopez is healthy
- 15:58Speaker 2: and plays, that's an interesting game for Louisville. 11 o'clock,
- 16:01Speaker 2: I will not be touching it. Yeah, Lance will not
- 16:02Speaker 2: look at it at 11. But I think interesting in
- 16:04Speaker 2: terms of probably closer than you think. Maybe not that
- 16:06Speaker 2: Wake wins the game, but we've just said, hey, Louisville,
- 16:10Speaker 2: they barely got to think the rest of their schedule.
- 16:12Speaker 3: This one will be closer than some.
- 16:13Speaker 1: We'll do some more injury talk coming up in the
- 16:16Speaker 1: next round part of this. I did want to get
- 16:17Speaker 1: to this before Clay comes up on the other side.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I did not know this existed. Only two people have it,
- 16:24Speaker 1: but Devontae Adams of the Rams was on Kay Adams'
- 16:28Speaker 1: No Relation podcast.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Taco Bell in the house? Yeah, I was about to say.
- 16:32Speaker 1: And he said, I am one of only two people
- 16:35Speaker 1: that has a purple card that gives me, I can
- 16:40Speaker 1: use it like a credit card, and I can get
- 16:43Speaker 1: unlimited Taco Bell anytime. He goes, I can walk in,
- 16:46Speaker 1: he told Kay Adams, I can walk in right now
- 16:48Speaker 1: and get $ 7 million worth of, Taco Bell and throw
- 16:52Speaker 1: the biggest Taco Bell party at SoFi if I wanted to.
- 16:55Speaker 3: The question is, who's the other guy? I know the
- 16:57Speaker 3: other guy. I was going to ask you. Is he
- 16:58Speaker 3: a sports figure? We know his name, if you say
- 17:01Speaker 3: his name. Oh, you will know his name. Oh, I will.
- 17:05Speaker 1: He is not respected on the show by at least 33%
- 17:09Speaker 1: of the panel.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Dabo Sweeney.
- 17:10Speaker 1: No, no. He's not in sports, but he is sports adjacent.
- 17:16Speaker 1: He's an entertainer.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Sports adjacent. Oh, it's not Jimmy Fallon, is it? No,
- 17:22Speaker 3: it's not Jimmy Fallon.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Who is it?
- 17:24Speaker 3: Give me a guess.
- 17:25Speaker 2: You take a guess.
- 17:25Speaker 3: I don't know. I'll take a guess from the back
- 17:27Speaker 3: row if you don't know.
- 17:27Speaker 4: I'd make Jimmy Fallon pay a cover to get in.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I would too. Sports adjacent. I don't want to
- 17:32Speaker 3: be in for life. You see this guy with sports
- 17:35Speaker 3: figures all the time. Oh, Drake?
- 17:37Speaker 1: In fact, you see this person on everything all the time.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I think, Lance, you've said before this guy never says.
- 17:42Speaker 3: No to anything. Snoop Dogg. It's close.
- 17:45Speaker 5: Kevin Hart.
- 17:45Speaker 3: It's Kevin Hart. Why did he get one?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Kevin Hart.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Did he do Taco Bell commercials? No, I've never seen
- 17:50Speaker 3: him do one.
- 17:50Speaker 2: He does a lot of commercials.
- 17:51Speaker 4: He actually promotes more stuff on the polar opposite end
- 17:55Speaker 4: of Taco Bell, like all his fitness stuff and ice baths.
- 17:59Speaker 3: And that sort of deal. No, he's an extremely nice guy.
- 18:02Speaker 3: I just... I'm not a fan of Kevin Hart. I
- 18:05Speaker 3: just don't think he's funny. That's a weird one that
- 18:07Speaker 3: he's got one.
- 18:07Speaker 4: We could put together a movie today and get Kevin
- 18:09Speaker 4: Hart to star in it.
- 18:11Speaker 3: That is.
- 18:12Speaker 1: According to Devontae Adams, there's only two cards with Taco
- 18:15Speaker 1: Bell for the world. In the world, it's a purple card.
- 18:19Speaker 1: He says it's Taco Bell's version of.
- 18:21Speaker 3: The black Amex. I think I'd rather have the Taco
- 18:25Speaker 3: Bell card.
- 18:25Speaker 2: I mean, how educated are Taco Bell employees that they
- 18:27Speaker 2: could look at? Yeah, Tyler, did you know.
- 18:31Speaker 3: What a purple card was? Shots fired at me. No, no, no.
- 18:35Speaker 3: I mean, McDonald's has the gold arch card. Okay, yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 3: What they were saying is anybody, did you ever hear
- 18:42Speaker 3: about this?
- 18:42Speaker 2: No, I'm just saying if Devontae Adams strolled into the
- 18:45Speaker 2: Auburn Taco Bell and whipped that card out, do you
- 18:47Speaker 2: think the employees are like.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Oh, give him what he wants. They would have no idea.
- 18:51Speaker 3: I think it has a strip. I think you swipe
- 18:53Speaker 3: it like a credit card.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Oh, my luck would be the swipe machine would be down.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Sorry, sir.
- 18:56Speaker 2: We can't take your card. No, this is a purple card.
- 18:58Speaker 3: We have tap. I don't care what color it is.
- 19:01Speaker 2: I don't care what color it is, sir. You're getting
- 19:03Speaker 2: the back of the line.
- 19:03Speaker 3: So I just thought that was interesting. No, that's, yeah.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Boy, I'd love one of those.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I've got to fall in love with Taco Bell. I just,
- 19:10Speaker 1: I'd never eat it.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Mexican pizza. I doubled up Mexican yesterday. I did our
- 19:14Speaker 3: friend's Taco Mama for lunch. And then the Mexican joint
- 19:18Speaker 3: that you and I like and you don't like for dinner.
- 19:20Speaker 1: See, I love Mexican food, but I never go Taco Bell.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I was going to do it the other day. I
- 19:26Speaker 1: did it the other day. I was going to do
- 19:28Speaker 1: it the other day. And my son, I was picking
- 19:30Speaker 1: up for him. He's home from between college and getting
- 19:32Speaker 1: his first real job. And he texted me. He's like,
- 19:35Speaker 1: will you pick me up lunch? I said, yeah, what
- 19:36Speaker 1: do you want? He goes, I'm craving Taco Bell. I said,
- 19:39Speaker 1: I've been wanting to go to Taco Bell.
- 19:40Speaker 5: I'll go in there.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I said, send me what you want. And he sent
- 19:42Speaker 1: me two things he wanted.
- 19:43Speaker 3: And I went there.
- 19:44Speaker 1: And they didn't have either one of them. They were
- 19:46Speaker 1: like specialty items that had just they just changed the
- 19:49Speaker 1: menu from yesterday and I didn't know what else to
- 19:51Speaker 1: get so I pulled away and went somewhere else I
- 19:54Speaker 1: think I went.
- 19:54Speaker 3: To New York Butcher like Sam Levitt.
- 19:58Speaker 1: I was like I'd have to text him back that
- 20:01Speaker 1: New York Butcher shop sandwich I got one of those
- 20:04Speaker 1: last week I had one yesterday again stacked roast beef
- 20:07Speaker 1: oh my god I've I was like I was in
- 20:10Speaker 1: New York again. I walked out and tried to helicab.
- 20:14Speaker 1: When we come back, Clay Travis joins the show. This
- 20:16Speaker 1: is the next round presented by Hard Rock Bets here
- 20:19Speaker 1: on Sporting State. I think Clay Travis is the guy
- 20:22Speaker 1: that broke the news yesterday that President Trump is on
- 20:26Speaker 1: his way to number one Texas and number 14 Tennessee,
- 20:31Speaker 1: 11 o'clock Central game, 12 Eastern in Knoxville, Tennessee. We've
- 20:35Speaker 1: all talked about being around the president for games, not
- 20:38Speaker 1: around him, but in the same stadium with him. Tennessee's
- 20:41Speaker 1: just a tough, tough venue for me to go to
- 20:44Speaker 1: games anyway.
- 20:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Clay was with us in Atlanta. Cause I remember Clay
- 20:47Speaker 2: and I, this is funny. Clay and I, Clay, I
- 20:50Speaker 2: don't know if you remember this, but there was a
- 20:52Speaker 2: rumor going through the press box that he was going
- 20:55Speaker 2: to come do the radio shows at halftime.
- 20:56Speaker 3: You remember that?
- 20:57Speaker 2: And you and I, I was talking to Clay. I
- 20:59Speaker 2: was like, you know, I've never seen a president, a
- 21:02Speaker 2: sitting president in person. So Clay and I during Bama
- 21:05Speaker 2: and Georgia, we're just sitting back there waiting to see
- 21:07Speaker 2: if he came through and he never came through.
- 21:09Speaker 6: Yeah, they said that he was going to come through
- 21:11Speaker 6: the press box and do an interview with the game broadcast, right?
- 21:17Speaker 6: That was the rumor that was going through. And at
- 21:20Speaker 6: that point in time, I had never interviewed the president.
- 21:23Speaker 6: I think I've interviewed him 11 times now. And I'd
- 21:26Speaker 6: certainly never met him either. And so I was with you.
- 21:29Speaker 6: I was on the couch. I was like, well, let's
- 21:31Speaker 6: just chill here and we'll see if he's going to
- 21:32Speaker 6: come through and do the interview or not. We'll see
- 21:35Speaker 6: if we can get a handshake.
- 21:37Speaker 5: He didn't do it. But, yeah, the White House.
- 21:39Speaker 6: Called me yesterday and said, hey, Clay, you know, heads up.
- 21:44Speaker 6: You can report president's going to go to Texas, Tennessee.
- 21:49Speaker 6: And so I tweeted that out. And now I think
- 21:53Speaker 6: the question is, you know, probably a lot of people
- 21:56Speaker 6: are debating, will he or will he not do college
- 21:59Speaker 6: game day? To me, just, you know, I'm on big news.
- 22:03Speaker 6: So I will be at the at the Texas, Tennessee game.
- 22:07Speaker 6: for big noon on Fox. And I encourage everybody to
- 22:11Speaker 6: make sure that they're watching Fox because that is where
- 22:13Speaker 6: you will see me big noon on Saturday. Having said that,
- 22:18Speaker 6: I think my position on this is straightforward. If you
- 22:22Speaker 6: can interview the president of the United States on any
- 22:24Speaker 6: show and you do a show for a living, you
- 22:27Speaker 6: interview the president of the United States. I don't care, Democrat, Republican,
- 22:30Speaker 6: whatever the position is. And so we'll see whether he's
- 22:34Speaker 6: gonna be any part of game day But if I
- 22:37Speaker 6: were betting, I would bet yes.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Real quickly on the president. I saw an interview with,
- 22:44Speaker 1: help me out, Carolina Leavitt, former press secretary.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Is that her name?
- 22:48Speaker 1: And very engaging, by the way, not up there taking questions.
- 22:51Speaker 1: It was a wonderful interview. I think she was on
- 22:52Speaker 1: with Hannity. And she said several times she's had to
- 22:57Speaker 1: talk to President Trump that so many people have his
- 23:01Speaker 1: cell number and he answers it and will sit and
- 23:03Speaker 1: talk to just random people. who call him up on
- 23:06Speaker 1: the cell phone is that true clay that he he's
- 23:08Speaker 1: just he'll sit and talk to just whoever calls him.
- 23:11Speaker 6: What about i don't know about random people but uh
- 23:14Speaker 6: i have i have interviewed him and he has stopped
- 23:16Speaker 6: multiple times to uh to take calls on his personal
- 23:20Speaker 6: cell phone um and you know he said hold on
- 23:23Speaker 6: i gotta talk to the governor here or hold on
- 23:26Speaker 6: i gotta take this one clay um And, uh, a
- 23:29Speaker 6: lot of people in media have it. I mean, I've
- 23:31Speaker 6: got a cell phone number. Um, I, I think, you know,
- 23:33Speaker 6: lots of people do. Um, and, uh, I, he is
- 23:37Speaker 6: the most accessible president that has ever lived in the
- 23:40Speaker 6: history of any of our lives. Like whatever you think
- 23:42Speaker 6: about him, um, you know, he answers more questions, talks
- 23:45Speaker 6: to the media more frequently, you know, he's got a
- 23:48Speaker 6: private cell cell phone that a lot of people have his, uh,
- 23:52Speaker 6: his cell phone number. Um, and, uh, yeah, look, I,
- 23:56Speaker 6: I think, um, The last time, well, I interviewed him
- 24:00Speaker 6: on Air Force One, but the last time he went to,
- 24:02Speaker 6: it's kind of a flex, the last time he went
- 24:04Speaker 6: to an SEC game was the Georgia-Alabama game in the
- 24:08Speaker 6: fall of 24. And you guys may remember I interviewed
- 24:12Speaker 6: him from the suite that he was in in, I think,
- 24:16Speaker 6: mid-September of 2024 for that game. So, look, he is
- 24:23Speaker 6: a monster sports fan. And I think As you look,
- 24:27Speaker 6: I mean, he wants to go to as many sporting
- 24:28Speaker 6: events as he can in this final term. And so
- 24:33Speaker 6: I think it should be quite the scene for what
- 24:36Speaker 6: I think is the biggest and best game coming up
- 24:39Speaker 6: this weekend on Saturday, Texas at Tennessee.
- 24:42Speaker 3: So I want to ask you about that game. But
- 24:44Speaker 3: if you text him right now and said, man, I'm
- 24:46Speaker 3: kind of leaning Tennessee plus four and a half. Mr. President,
- 24:50Speaker 3: who would you play in this? Would he text you
- 24:52Speaker 3: back on that?
- 24:53Speaker 5: Yeah. I don't think he would text back on gambling.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Okay.
- 24:58Speaker 6: And he's more of a talker than I think, generally speaking,
- 25:01Speaker 6: he is a texter. But, you know, look, the Protect
- 25:08Speaker 6: College Sports Act is likely to be passed in the
- 25:12Speaker 6: Senate on Friday. So I don't think it's coincidental that
- 25:16Speaker 6: he's going to the biggest college football game the day
- 25:18Speaker 6: after this bill is going to pass with a great
- 25:21Speaker 6: deal of bipartisan momentum in the Senate. to try to say, hey,
- 25:25Speaker 6: the House now has to come over the top and
- 25:27Speaker 6: sign this, pass this bill as well, so he can
- 25:30Speaker 6: sign it into law.
- 25:33Speaker 5: So there is a direct college.
- 25:35Speaker 6: Connection that I think is undergirding this decision to go
- 25:40Speaker 6: to this game at this point in time.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Okay, so your team is 3-0. They've yet to play
- 25:44Speaker 3: a power-four team. They're running the football 299 yards per
- 25:47Speaker 3: game on the ground. That's great. We don't know how
- 25:49Speaker 3: Faison Brandon is going to play in this situation, but
- 25:54Speaker 3: We we've got a pretty good sample size that arch
- 25:56Speaker 3: has been struggling, and this is going to be a
- 25:58Speaker 3: really difficult defense for him. What do you see at
- 26:01Speaker 3: 11 o'clock in Neyland between these two teams?
- 26:05Speaker 5: I think it's going to be a low scoring.
- 26:06Speaker 6: I think Tennessee will lean on the, uh, lean on
- 26:10Speaker 6: the run game. And this will come down to how
- 26:14Speaker 6: to stays in Brandon play. And I, I, he's a
- 26:17Speaker 6: true freshman playing the number one team in the country
- 26:19Speaker 6: in front of a hundred and.
- 26:20Speaker 5: You know, 3000 people.
- 26:21Speaker 6: Uh, With 10 million people watching back home on television,
- 26:27Speaker 6: I think it's anybody's best guess as to how he
- 26:31Speaker 6: will play. They have so far protected him quite a bit.
- 26:35Speaker 6: It helps to have a good offensive line and a
- 26:37Speaker 6: good running game, which I think Tennessee does have. They
- 26:40Speaker 6: also have a lot of talent at wide receiver. And
- 26:43Speaker 6: so to what extent will he make the big-time throw
- 26:48Speaker 6: when it's third and eight? Is he going to step
- 26:50Speaker 6: up in the pocket, make the right read, and deliver?
- 26:53Speaker 6: Or is he going to turn the football over? You know,
- 26:54Speaker 6: he has not had a single turnover so far in
- 26:58Speaker 6: the first three games. Got nine touchdowns, no turnovers. But
- 27:02Speaker 6: he is a true freshman. You know, this time last
- 27:04Speaker 6: year he was playing high school football in Charlotte.
- 27:07Speaker 5: We don't see a.
- 27:08Speaker 6: Lot of this now in modern college football where a
- 27:11Speaker 6: guy comes in as a true freshman and immediately takes
- 27:14Speaker 6: over a power program job. And so I think Tennessee
- 27:18Speaker 6: will keep this game really close. I think it will
- 27:20Speaker 6: be a 21-17 style game. I know there was a
- 27:24Speaker 6: lot more points scored last year, but it feels a
- 27:27Speaker 6: little bit like Georgia last year where Tennessee choked on
- 27:30Speaker 6: that field goal they should have made, which I think
- 27:33Speaker 6: sent their season into a completely different direction. I really
- 27:37Speaker 6: do believe if that field goal had been made, Tennessee
- 27:39Speaker 6: would have been a playoff team again last year. 42-yarder,
- 27:43Speaker 6: if I remember correctly, shanked it, losing overtime to Georgia.
- 27:47Speaker 6: Lose a couple other games you wish you hadn't. But
- 27:49Speaker 6: I do think if Tennessee had made that kick, I mean,
- 27:52Speaker 6: worst case scenario, they're 9-3. But I think they would
- 27:55Speaker 6: have beaten either Oklahoma or Vanderbilt down the stretch and
- 28:00Speaker 6: gotten to 10-2 and been in the playoff.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Speaking of different directions, Lane Kiffin coming off the loss now.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Obviously a challenging game with A & M in town.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Where does the season go now for Lane? How bad
- 28:12Speaker 1: could this season get?
- 28:15Speaker 2: Well.
- 28:16Speaker 6: Look, I mean, first of all, I don't think it's
- 28:17Speaker 6: just Lane. Either Texas A & M is going to
- 28:19Speaker 6: be 0-2 in the SEC with seven SEC games left,
- 28:22Speaker 6: or LSU is going to be 0-2 in the SEC
- 28:25Speaker 6: with seven games left. And, you know, basically, I think
- 28:29Speaker 6: at that point in time, whoever loses this game on
- 28:32Speaker 6: Saturday night in Baton Rouge, their playoff dreams are over, right?
- 28:35Speaker 6: And these were two teams that expected to be in
- 28:37Speaker 6: the playoff. The fan bases did. And to have your
- 28:40Speaker 6: playoff dream be over it, you know, what are we
- 28:43Speaker 6: sitting in here?
- 28:43Speaker 5: We've barely gotten into fall at all, right?
- 28:45Speaker 6: Like barely into September, not even into October yet, barely
- 28:49Speaker 6: into the fall. And so I think the pressure is
- 28:53Speaker 6: going to get ratcheted up in a big degree. I
- 28:55Speaker 6: actually think LSU will find a way to win. And
- 28:59Speaker 6: whichever team wins will say, hey, we righted the ship.
- 29:01Speaker 6: We're in a decent spot going forward. But I think
- 29:05Speaker 6: it's going to be a challenge.
- 29:08Speaker 2: The other side of the outcome of that game last
- 29:11Speaker 2: week is Ole Miss going to Florida. And this is
- 29:13Speaker 2: a remarkable game that we've talked a lot about, Clay,
- 29:15Speaker 2: because Ole Miss is an underdog, a top-five team on
- 29:19Speaker 2: the road, an underdog to the Florida Gators. And a
- 29:22Speaker 2: lot of people cannot wrap their heads around that to
- 29:24Speaker 2: the point that, as far as ticket count goes, Ole
- 29:27Speaker 2: Miss is the most bet team in college for the
- 29:29Speaker 2: NFL as of last night. It could have changed today.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Pretty remarkable that this game is playing out at least–
- 29:36Speaker 2: The way it is, I guess Vegas has played this
- 29:39Speaker 2: game out the way they have.
- 29:40Speaker 6: So far yeah look I took Florida so the way
- 29:43Speaker 6: I'm betting that's probably a good sign for everybody who's
- 29:46Speaker 6: on Ole Miss but I looking at John Summerall and
- 29:50Speaker 6: the way this team has has played I think you
- 29:52Speaker 6: have to be impressed he doesn't look like a first
- 29:56Speaker 6: year coach this doesn't look like a first year system
- 30:00Speaker 6: And remember the last time, if I remember correctly, that
- 30:03Speaker 6: Florida went to Ole Miss, they had their playoff, sorry,
- 30:06Speaker 6: that Ole Miss went to Florida, they had their playoff
- 30:08Speaker 6: hopes dashed. That was Jackson Dart's final SEC game. They
- 30:12Speaker 6: lost as a favorite, I don't know, by a touchdown
- 30:15Speaker 6: or more, if I remember in that game, and created
- 30:19Speaker 6: a huge sort of tidal wave of negativity for Jackson
- 30:24Speaker 6: Dart because he played poorly, threw a couple of picks,
- 30:27Speaker 6: I think that Florida will find a way to win
- 30:29Speaker 6: a high-scoring game, and I think what this is going
- 30:32Speaker 6: to be symptomatic, emblematic of is SEC football is now
- 30:38Speaker 6: like the NFL. LT, you're a Rams guy. Your team
- 30:42Speaker 6: looked awful against the 49ers in Australia. They went and
- 30:46Speaker 6: just got obliterated. came back home and crushed the Giants
- 30:52Speaker 6: on that Monday night football game, if I remember it correctly,
- 30:55Speaker 6: or Sunday night, whenever the night was that was being played.
- 30:58Speaker 6: There's a big swing week to week between what a
- 31:01Speaker 6: team can look like in the NFL because the average
- 31:04Speaker 6: competition level is not that extreme between the best team
- 31:09Speaker 6: and the worst team in the NFL. And I think
- 31:11Speaker 6: you're going to start seeing that in college football where
- 31:14Speaker 6: at the end of the year, if you can go
- 31:16Speaker 6: 6-3 in the SEC– certainly if you can go 7-2.
- 31:20Speaker 6: I think you have to sit back and say that
- 31:22Speaker 6: was a heck of a season. And I'm not sure
- 31:26Speaker 6: that college football fans are ready for that pivot to
- 31:30Speaker 6: an NFL-style schedule, but we're here, and I think people
- 31:34Speaker 6: are going to have to adjust accordingly.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Well, and we're here, and I've said this on the show,
- 31:37Speaker 2: and I've talked to other people about it. We're here, Clay,
- 31:40Speaker 2: in the world where, like the NFL, one week's results
- 31:45Speaker 2: in college football indicate nothing about the next week. The
- 31:48Speaker 2: greatest example is the Bears scoring a billion points in
- 31:51Speaker 2: week one and then three in week two. Kentucky completely
- 31:55Speaker 2: laying an egg.
- 31:56Speaker 5: Just in college football.
- 31:57Speaker 6: Look at Texas A & M versus Kentucky.
- 32:00Speaker 2: That was my point.
- 32:00Speaker 5: Kentucky gets run out of the stadium second half. I
- 32:06Speaker 5: gambled on this one.
- 32:07Speaker 6: I don't know which side you took, but I took
- 32:08Speaker 6: South Carolina plus the points and the over at Bama.
- 32:12Speaker 6: South Carolina coming into Alabama is not dissimilar to Kentucky
- 32:17Speaker 6: in coming into Texas A & M last week after
- 32:20Speaker 6: a big home loss, poor second-half performance.
- 32:23Speaker 5: Fan base is done with them.
- 32:25Speaker 6: And then, you know, the number of Kentucky fans who
- 32:28Speaker 6: are like, same old Kentucky, and then, boom, they go
- 32:30Speaker 6: on the road and they really handle it to A & M,
- 32:32Speaker 6: get a top-10 road win, which is hard to do.
- 32:36Speaker 3: You were in attendance last weekend for the hottest game
- 32:39Speaker 3: in Vanderbilt history. Um, I had NC state plus three
- 32:42Speaker 3: and a half. It's still, I, I, I still can't
- 32:45Speaker 3: get over that with all that said, Jared Curtis made
- 32:49Speaker 3: his debut, at least as a starting quarterback. Now that
- 32:52Speaker 3: this game is kind of insignificant, but Vanderbilt goes to Auburn,
- 32:55Speaker 3: Auburn gets to see Jared Curtis. What did you think
- 32:58Speaker 3: about the true freshman?
- 33:00Speaker 5: He's really good.
- 33:02Speaker 6: Um, you know, one of my favorite analogies when you're
- 33:04Speaker 6: playing a true freshman is he's going to make somebody's
- 33:06Speaker 6: band play.
- 33:07Speaker 5: You just don't know which one.
- 33:08Speaker 6: Um, So he has the ability to make NFL first-round
- 33:13Speaker 6: throws already. If you just step back and watch the
- 33:17Speaker 6: way the ball comes out of his hand, the laser
- 33:19Speaker 6: that he has, it's really, really impressive. And so he
- 33:24Speaker 6: makes that Vanderbilt offense capable. He's also big, physical. He
- 33:29Speaker 6: can run the football. If I were analogizing him and
- 33:33Speaker 6: you were saying, hey, what could he be one day
- 33:36Speaker 6: at the next level? He reminds me of Josh Allen
- 33:39Speaker 6: or Cam Newton, like just a really big dude who
- 33:43Speaker 6: can run over people. And, you know, he's 6'4, 225,
- 33:48Speaker 6: really good athlete as a true freshman. But he's got
- 33:52Speaker 6: that gunslinger mentality. And so it wouldn't stun me if
- 33:55Speaker 6: he throws a couple of interceptions on the road at Auburn.
- 33:58Speaker 6: He threw the late interception. Honestly, LT, when they were
- 34:01Speaker 6: moving the ball pretty well, I know it came down
- 34:04Speaker 6: to that crazy play for Vanderbilt to recover the fumble
- 34:07Speaker 6: in the end zone after C.J.
- 34:09Speaker 5: Bailey got hit and choked.
- 34:11Speaker 6: But I do think if you go back and you
- 34:14Speaker 6: look at the throws he made in the second half,
- 34:17Speaker 6: a lot of them were really impressive. And he was
- 34:19Speaker 6: trying to go for the big play there for the
- 34:21Speaker 6: touchdown when Vanderbilt basically had assured themselves of a tie,
- 34:25Speaker 6: and I think.
- 34:26Speaker 5: If he just eats that one.
- 34:27Speaker 6: Probably are going to find a way to drive down
- 34:29Speaker 6: and win that game. And we don't even get the
- 34:32Speaker 6: crazy ending that we ended up seeing. So I took
- 34:35Speaker 6: the over in this game. I think that Auburn's defense
- 34:39Speaker 6: looks really bad. Vanderbilt's defense has not looked very good either.
- 34:43Speaker 6: I think there's a decent chance of 24, 28 points.
- 34:46Speaker 5: For each of these teams.
- 34:48Speaker 6: But I think if Vanderbilt's going to have any chance
- 34:50Speaker 6: to win, then it's going to come down to Jared
- 34:52Speaker 6: Curtis not turning the ball over.
- 34:54Speaker 1: While you were waiting, we were talking about Devontae Adams
- 34:57Speaker 1: telling Kay Adams that he has the exclusive Taco Bell
- 35:01Speaker 1: purple card, unlimited free food from Taco Bell with Kevin Hart.
- 35:06Speaker 1: If I asked you, would you want the purple card
- 35:08Speaker 1: from Taco Bell, the McDonald's gold card that Bill Gates
- 35:12Speaker 1: and Warren Buffett and Rob Lowe have? Apparently Chipotle has
- 35:16Speaker 1: a celebrity card that Patrick Mahomes has. Which food would
- 35:20Speaker 1: you want that VIP food card? What chain would you
- 35:23Speaker 1: want the VIP food card from?
- 35:25Speaker 5: Chick-fil-A. I mean, that's not even a tough call for me.
- 35:29Speaker 2: I wonder if they do one.
- 35:29Speaker 6: I would eat Chick-fil-A almost every meal.
- 35:33Speaker 5: I absolutely love it.
- 35:35Speaker 6: Now, the answer also is if somebody wants to spend
- 35:38Speaker 6: several million dollars in advertising, with Sporting State and become
- 35:42Speaker 6: the official fast food of Sporting State, I will immediately
- 35:45Speaker 6: demand that you guys delete all record of this.
- 35:48Speaker 5: And I will claim that whatever.
- 35:50Speaker 6: Company is willing to spend millions of dollars with us
- 35:52Speaker 6: has always been my favorite fast food. But right now
- 35:55Speaker 6: we don't have that. So my answer would be Chick-fil-A.
- 35:57Speaker 5: What about you guys?
- 35:59Speaker 3: Chick-fil-A is a good one. I eat more Chick-fil-A than
- 36:01Speaker 3: I do anything else. Any of those.
- 36:03Speaker 2: I will take the Taco Bell one. I love Taco Bell.
- 36:05Speaker 3: You know, an In-N-Out is big in Nashville right now.
- 36:07Speaker 3: I like In-N-Out a lot.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:09Speaker 6: Yeah. So my boys love, um, love the, uh, raisin canes. Uh,
- 36:15Speaker 6: so we spend a lot of money at raisin canes.
- 36:17Speaker 6: And then there is, um, that that's probably the top
- 36:21Speaker 6: two that we, we would probably purchase most frequently. Uh,
- 36:24Speaker 6: McDonald's is a standby regular, and you can argue, you know,
- 36:28Speaker 6: you're getting more value at McDonald's cause you got the
- 36:31Speaker 6: breakfast opportunities too. Although the Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit, I think
- 36:35Speaker 6: is one of the best in the hash brown. So, uh,
- 36:38Speaker 6: Chick-fil-A to me is not even a close call. I
- 36:40Speaker 6: would immediately go Chick-fil-A.
- 36:42Speaker 2: We did a live show at Talladega Super Speedway a
- 36:44Speaker 2: number of years ago, and Jamie McMurray was driving the
- 36:46Speaker 2: McDonald's car then, and he had one of those cars.
- 36:49Speaker 7: That's right.
- 36:49Speaker 3: He showed it to us. He showed us his card
- 36:51Speaker 3: that was the unlimited.
- 36:53Speaker 5: Here's my question.
- 36:55Speaker 6: Is every register at McDonald's capable of reading.
- 36:59Speaker 2: The gold card? That's what we ask about. We ask
- 37:01Speaker 2: about the purple card because Tyler used to work at
- 37:04Speaker 2: Taco Bell, and we're like, there's no way a Taco
- 37:06Speaker 2: Bell employee knows what that is.
- 37:08Speaker 5: Yeah, right.
- 37:09Speaker 6: I mean, for somebody who is as famous as Kevin Hart,
- 37:12Speaker 6: they might just assume, okay, well, that makes sense.
- 37:15Speaker 5: But I don't know. I mean, for a lot of
- 37:18Speaker 5: guys who might walk in, are they instructed?
- 37:22Speaker 6: Is every fast food worker aware that there's a one
- 37:26Speaker 6: in 10,000 chance.
- 37:27Speaker 5: That on any given day, one of the 50 people
- 37:29Speaker 5: who has those cards might come in?
- 37:31Speaker 6: And by the way, I think Patrick Mahomes and Kevin Hart,
- 37:35Speaker 6: I think they can afford the $ 30 for their.
- 37:37Speaker 5: Meal, right?
- 37:38Speaker 6: It actually seems- It actually seems like kind of a
- 37:42Speaker 6: dick move for Devante Adams, who's got a $ 50 million contract.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Same way with Gates and Buffett.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Gates and Buffett, they can afford a Happy Meal at McDonald's.
- 37:53Speaker 6: Wouldn't you think a little bit like, well, that's kind
- 37:55Speaker 6: of a dick move. Warren Buffett won't even pay $ 1. 50
- 37:58Speaker 6: for his french fries, his apple pie.
- 38:02Speaker 5: He's big-timing us and making us run it.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Do you have time for one AI question?
- 38:08Speaker 5: Yeah, sure.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Have you seen the documentary on Netflix that came out
- 38:11Speaker 3: last week, two weeks ago?
- 38:14Speaker 6: If it's not a sporting, if it's not a game,
- 38:18Speaker 6: I see nothing on documentaries during football season.
- 38:22Speaker 5: So no, I haven't seen anything.
- 38:24Speaker 3: Well, it's worth the watch. But with all that said,
- 38:26Speaker 3: Elon Musk is kind of part of it. And I
- 38:28Speaker 3: saw a post yesterday where he's predicting within the next
- 38:32Speaker 3: 10 years that we won't work, that we'll get a
- 38:35Speaker 3: government stipend. And my question is, Like, he's saying that
- 38:40Speaker 3: everybody's going to have money, but, like, what is a
- 38:43Speaker 3: purpose in life? Like, what are we doing if, in fact,
- 38:46Speaker 3: this is the direction we're heading where people don't have
- 38:49Speaker 3: to work and they're just getting a stipend?
- 38:52Speaker 6: Yeah, so I'm optimistic about AI in general. It's not
- 38:56Speaker 6: going to shock you guys. I tend to be an optimist. Like,
- 38:58Speaker 6: I don't sit around, you know, wallowing in fear and
- 39:02Speaker 6: self-doubt and loathing and.
- 39:04Speaker 5: All those things.
- 39:06Speaker 3: But.
- 39:07Speaker 6: What I am concerned about is all three of you
- 39:11Speaker 6: are dads.
- 39:12Speaker 5: I am a dad.
- 39:13Speaker 6: Speaking for men in general, I think it's hard for
- 39:17Speaker 6: men to be the best version of themselves if we
- 39:22Speaker 6: aren't providing for something other than ourselves.
- 39:26Speaker 5: Right?
- 39:26Speaker 6: Like I think men, there's a reason why when men
- 39:29Speaker 6: have jobs, they're more reliable. Married men with kids are
- 39:32Speaker 6: the most reliable employees. You need to be having a
- 39:36Speaker 6: job to pay a mortgage, to be responsible for your family,
- 39:40Speaker 6: everything else. To me, I don't know how many people
- 39:44Speaker 6: are going to be the best version of themselves if
- 39:47Speaker 6: they aren't working. Um, And look, I understand people say, oh,
- 39:52Speaker 6: I want to win the lottery.
- 39:53Speaker 5: I don't want to work. I mean, I feel like
- 39:55Speaker 5: I've won the lottery when I sold out kick five
- 39:57Speaker 5: years ago.
- 39:58Speaker 6: I love my jobs. I don't want to wake up
- 40:01Speaker 6: every day. I understand some people may want to do this.
- 40:04Speaker 6: I wouldn't want to wake up every day and have
- 40:06Speaker 6: no responsibilities and no obligations. Maybe when I get older,
- 40:10Speaker 6: maybe I will want to retire and have that be
- 40:13Speaker 6: the lifestyle that I pursue. But I do worry about
- 40:16Speaker 6: just where we go as a society. when or if people,
- 40:21Speaker 6: men in particular, I mean, I think one reason that
- 40:24Speaker 6: young people have struggled so much is the global population
- 40:28Speaker 6: is collapsing, right? Like back in the day, you guys
- 40:30Speaker 6: remember when we were younger, they would tell us, oh,
- 40:33Speaker 6: the population is growing so fast. We're not going to
- 40:35Speaker 6: be able to feed everybody. China's population has peaked. The
- 40:38Speaker 6: United States population may well have peaked. Over the course
- 40:42Speaker 6: of this century, we're on track to to lose maybe
- 40:47Speaker 6: a couple of billion people from Earth. In other words,
- 40:51Speaker 6: we're on the downward slope over time. At some point,
- 40:54Speaker 6: we're gonna start to decline as a global population. I
- 40:59Speaker 6: think kids are good. I think having them and raising
- 41:02Speaker 6: them and the family structure and the unit is important.
- 41:07Speaker 6: And I think purpose-driven lives are more effective and efficient
- 41:11Speaker 6: and successful for most men and women than a only
- 41:17Speaker 6: hedonistic lifestyle. So that's my big concern. If you ask, hey,
- 41:21Speaker 6: what are people going to do? I don't think Elon's right.
- 41:24Speaker 6: He's a genius on a lot of things. I would
- 41:26Speaker 6: take the over on how many jobs there are going
- 41:29Speaker 6: to be in 10 years.
- 41:31Speaker 2: If a billionaire are going to disappear, I wish we
- 41:33Speaker 2: could make some nominations. I don't know if they're taking nominations,
- 41:36Speaker 2: but I've got a few. I wouldn't want to be.
- 41:38Speaker 2: I don't want to You don't want to do it?
- 41:40Speaker 3: I don't want to do that.
- 41:41Speaker 5: I'll be controversial. I'll put Lindsey Clancy at the top
- 41:43Speaker 5: of my list.
- 41:45Speaker 3: There we go. All right.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Here's Clay Travis. Enjoy Tennessee and Texas, Clay.
- 41:49Speaker 3: Thank you. Will do.
- 41:51Speaker 5: See y'all.
- 41:52Speaker 3: All right, man. Have a great weekend.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Clay Travis with us on Sporting State.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:55Speaker 1: You know, I love it when Clay says he's an optimist.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I've got a poster I've got hanging in my house here.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Forrester's about to show us that. Because Clay is an optimist.
- 42:05Speaker 3: He is.
- 42:06Speaker 1: So I keep this poster hanging. by my bed that
- 42:09Speaker 1: I see every morning when I wake up because I
- 42:11Speaker 1: want Clay's optimism to shine over my day.
- 42:16Speaker 3: To permeate your life, yes. Every day I.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Wake up and I wake up, I put my feet
- 42:20Speaker 1: on the ground, I'm thankful, then I look over and
- 42:23Speaker 1: then I see this amazing poster of Clay.
- 42:28Speaker 3: That I have on my wall.
- 42:29Speaker 1: And before we do XXXY, it looks something like, I'm
- 42:34Speaker 1: trying to time it out, I just sent it to Forrester.
- 42:37Speaker 1: It's Clay and that cat, that cat body. Just hang
- 42:40Speaker 1: in there every day.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Hang in there.
- 42:42Speaker 1: That's my Clay Travis optimism poster I have hanging there
- 42:45Speaker 1: every day.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Hang in there, Jimmy D. Hang in there, Jimmy D.
- 42:48Speaker 1: XXXY takes you to break here on Sports Day.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Jennifer Say, she was a champion gymnast. What are you
- 42:55Speaker 2: laughing at?
- 42:56Speaker 3: The cat head.
- 42:57Speaker 2: She was a champion gymnast. She was Levi's brand president.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Headlines for tomorrow. She walked away from that corporate job
- 43:05Speaker 2: rather than say something she did not believe in. And
- 43:07Speaker 2: when she walked away, she started XXXY Athletics instead. Their mission,
- 43:11Speaker 2: in their words, empower female athletes to take a stand
- 43:14Speaker 2: for fair competition. So they had the, what it's called,
- 43:17Speaker 2: the T that launched a movement. For that reason, they
- 43:21Speaker 2: also have the Nashville Balls gear, official gear for the
- 43:23Speaker 2: Nashville Balls, Clay Travis' future WNBA franchise. They've got tees,
- 43:27Speaker 2: trucker hats. If you want that shirt, that's where you

- 46:01Speaker 3: Really interesting.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Ranked games inside one league this week. Four top 25
- 46:07Speaker 1: matchups within the SEC. One of them is Kirby Smart's
- 46:11Speaker 1: Georgia team playing host No, actually, this isn't one of them.
- 46:15Speaker 1: This is Kirby Smart's Georgia team playing Oklahoma, who's no
- 46:18Speaker 1: longer ranked, right?
- 46:20Speaker 3: Yep.
- 46:20Speaker 1: So this could be, outside of four top 25 matchups,
- 46:24Speaker 1: this could be upset alert for the Georgia Bulldogs.
- 46:26Speaker 3: Here's Kirby. When you guys are going into a game
- 46:29Speaker 3: like this, what's kind of the expectation?
- 46:30Speaker 1: What's the message to your team when you go into
- 46:33Speaker 1: this type of matchup?
- 46:36Speaker 8: It's not a different matchup than we have every week.
- 46:39Speaker 8: Every week in the SEC is intense, tough, physical, line
- 46:44Speaker 8: of scrimmage. That's not any disregard to Oklahoma. They've got
- 46:49Speaker 8: a tremendous team, but we've got eight of those in
- 46:52Speaker 8: a row. I'm worried about us, and I'm worried about
- 46:55Speaker 8: how we prepare, and I'm worried about what we can
- 46:59Speaker 8: do to make our team better. What allows you to
- 47:02Speaker 8: have consistency in performance and that maybe is unmatched. What
- 47:07Speaker 8: can we do better than the opponent and get our
- 47:11Speaker 8: players in a better position to be successful, whether it's
- 47:14Speaker 8: what we show them, whether it's what we.
- 47:16Speaker 5: Teach them, whether it's how we do things.
- 47:19Speaker 8: You're constantly looking for a better way, and when you
- 47:22Speaker 8: look across college football, it's going to be one of
- 47:24Speaker 8: those kind of years because there's a lot of parity
- 47:26Speaker 8: out there.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Most likely home team to lose this weekend. Most people
- 47:32Speaker 1: would say Tennessee.
- 47:33Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 47:34Speaker 2: A lot of people say Florida.
- 47:35Speaker 3: To number one, Texas. Yeah. A lot of people say Florida.
- 47:38Speaker 3: Ole Miss is obviously a very popular pick here. But
- 47:40Speaker 3: after Tennessee against Texas. Oh, it's in play for every
- 47:44Speaker 3: SEC team this week.
- 47:46Speaker 2: For sure.
- 47:46Speaker 3: For the conference games.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Not South Alabama, Kentucky. Well, that's a tricky game. That'll
- 47:53Speaker 1: be closer than most people think.
- 47:54Speaker 2: If you're going to lose it at a conference, Tulsa
- 47:56Speaker 2: winning it. Now, Tulsa, the Brown Bandit was going to
- 47:58Speaker 2: be on Tulsa this week, but their quarterback is... I
- 48:01Speaker 2: don't know what he is on the most recent report,
- 48:02Speaker 2: but he's been doubtful.
- 48:03Speaker 3: I get it, but Arkansas has been outscored by 71
- 48:05Speaker 3: points their last two games. Tulsa already has a win
- 48:07Speaker 3: over Oklahoma State.
- 48:09Speaker 2: But to your point of just take Tulsa and South
- 48:12Speaker 2: Alabama off.
- 48:13Speaker 1: Tennessee, Texas. Texas at Tennessee.
- 48:15Speaker 3: You expect Texas to win. Yeah, it's kind of a
- 48:17Speaker 3: coin flip.
- 48:18Speaker 1: Florida, you think Georgia?
- 48:20Speaker 3: I like Florida, but that's a coin flip. I mean, yeah,
- 48:23Speaker 3: Georgia wins that game nine out of ten times, but
- 48:25Speaker 3: Oklahoma's defense is good enough to keep them right there.
- 48:28Speaker 1: I think Auburn has both hands full. Auburn and Alabama
- 48:30Speaker 1: both in question this weekend. Most people would say no.
- 48:34Speaker 1: LSU in question. Mississippi State in question.
- 48:37Speaker 3: For sure.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Other than Texas at Tennessee, which one is the second
- 48:41Speaker 1: one that is the most in question in your opinion, Brown,
- 48:44Speaker 1: you go first.
- 48:44Speaker 2: Vanderbilt at Auburn.
- 48:46Speaker 3: Auburn for you.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I just think Auburn... One thing they
- 48:50Speaker 2: struggle to do is protect the quarterback. And what does
- 48:54Speaker 2: Vanderbilt do all the time?
- 48:55Speaker 1: They're known for having a very, what's the word people
- 48:59Speaker 1: use when it's really unique? Exotic is the word I'm
- 49:02Speaker 1: looking for.
- 49:03Speaker 3: Pass rush.
- 49:03Speaker 2: But one thing, and Lance, I know because you had
- 49:06Speaker 2: NC State, one thing they like to do is line
- 49:08Speaker 2: up and blitz. They put a lot of faith in
- 49:11Speaker 2: their defensive backs. I mean, Clark Lee's like, our DBs
- 49:13Speaker 2: are going to have to win. the man-to-man because we're
- 49:16Speaker 2: going to send the house.
- 49:17Speaker 3: Auburn is struggling with that. They've got 12 sacks right now.
- 49:20Speaker 3: That's fourth in the FBS.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 49:23Speaker 3: You combine with what Vanderbilt's doing attacking the quarterback to
- 49:25Speaker 3: what Auburn is giving up on that offensive line. That's
- 49:28Speaker 3: a bad matchup. It is a bad matchup. What's number
- 49:30Speaker 3: two for you? Probably Ole Miss, Florida. Just because Trinidad
- 49:34Speaker 3: just continues to make plays and Pete Golding doesn't lose
- 49:37Speaker 3: against ranked teams. That one's kind of easy, but if
- 49:40Speaker 3: I got away from that, I mean, South Carolina-Bama? Yeah.
- 49:47Speaker 3: Just because of the way South Carolina has played Alabama
- 49:50Speaker 3: the last two years.
- 49:51Speaker 2: You go two years ago, right here in Bryant-Denny Stadium,
- 49:53Speaker 2: Alabama had the game in hand. They let off the gas.
- 49:57Speaker 2: And South Carolina kept chipping away, chipping away, chipping away,
- 49:59Speaker 2: and you turn around and South Carolina's got a Hail
- 50:01Speaker 2: Mary to win the game.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Yeah, not really a Hail Mary. They had ball and
- 50:05Speaker 1: ham for enough time to do a little bit of
- 50:07Speaker 1: a drive.
- 50:07Speaker 2: Yeah, it was more of an offensive play than a
- 50:08Speaker 2: Hail Mary, but a play at zeroes to win the game.
- 50:12Speaker 2: Then last year, Alabama was dead to rights in Columbia.
- 50:16Speaker 2: How they pulled that game out is amazing. They had
- 50:17Speaker 2: to thread a needle to win that game. Yeah, how
- 50:19Speaker 2: they pulled that one out last year was incredible. They
- 50:21Speaker 2: were dead to rights in Columbia. But Alabama's won both
- 50:24Speaker 2: of them. But it has been a very, very difficult out.
- 50:27Speaker 1: Yeah, and you've got a now desperate South Carolina team
- 50:31Speaker 1: coming off a loss with some talented players on there.
- 50:34Speaker 1: I just think it's a fascinating weekend in the SEC.
- 50:37Speaker 1: And Kirby thinks it'll be this way every week. And
- 50:39Speaker 1: maybe it is going to be this way every week.
- 50:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I think another really interesting game is Missouri at
- 50:44Speaker 3: Mississippi State because I think Mississippi State fans, at least
- 50:46Speaker 3: talking to a couple, they already believe they're going to
- 50:49Speaker 3: win this game and it's going to be undefeated Mississippi
- 50:51Speaker 3: State in Alabama next weekend. And I would say not
- 50:54Speaker 3: so fast because I do think Missouri and Austin Simmons,
- 50:57Speaker 3: the way he is playing right now, I think it
- 50:59Speaker 3: could be a really good matchup. And Camario hadn't had
- 51:01Speaker 3: that down moment and maybe he doesn't. I mean, maybe
- 51:03Speaker 3: this really becomes Cam Newton-like where he just gets better
- 51:07Speaker 3: and better.
- 51:07Speaker 2: We hit on it. Earlier with the schedules. But if
- 51:10Speaker 2: Florida and Missouri wins, you know where Florida goes next week, right?
- 51:13Speaker 2: They go to Como.
- 51:14Speaker 3: To Como?
- 51:15Speaker 2: Yeah. So you've got undefeated Florida, undefeated Missouri if both
- 51:17Speaker 2: of them win these two games Saturday.
- 51:19Speaker 6: Wow.
- 51:20Speaker 2: I mean, that's a sneaky big game in the SEC.
- 51:23Speaker 2: Did you ever think Missouri and Florida in week five
- 51:26Speaker 2: would have any sort of meaning? And all of a sudden,
- 51:29Speaker 2: that could happen. potentially be two undefeated teams playing week
- 51:33Speaker 2: five in Como.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Brown, in our final 40 seconds here, pull up the
- 51:36Speaker 1: NFL schedule this weekend. Do we have any games on
- 51:38Speaker 1: Sunday in the northeastern part of the country? Because that
- 51:42Speaker 1: nor'easter I told you about yesterday, really going to hit
- 51:46Speaker 1: Saturday into Sunday, so much so that Major League Baseball
- 51:50Speaker 1: has changed the Cubs and Red Sox, making them play
- 51:52Speaker 1: a doubleheader on Friday so they don't have to deal
- 51:54Speaker 1: with that on Sunday.
- 51:55Speaker 2: Any games in the Northeast? You've got Chargers at Bills.
- 51:58Speaker 2: The Chargers desperately need a win in that one. Oh,
- 52:00Speaker 2: my goodness.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Wet ball game for Justin Herbert in Buffalo.
- 52:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 52:03Speaker 2: Is it going to mess with D.C.? Is it going
- 52:05Speaker 2: to be north of D.C.? I don't know if it's
- 52:07Speaker 2: that far down. You've got Titans at Giants. The last
- 52:09Speaker 2: thing either one of those teams needs is crappy weather,
- 52:13Speaker 2: the way they're playing right now. That's really it.
- 52:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 52:15Speaker 1: So the NFL dodging a bullet on some rain games,
- 52:18Speaker 1: but a tough one for L.A., the Chargers in Buffalo
- 52:22Speaker 1: if it's raining. That's it for Sporting State. The next
- 52:25Speaker 1: round continues in a moment.
