- 0:00Speaker 1: So making his debut on the Naughty but Nice Podcast.
- 0:03Speaker 1: It's one of reality television is the biggest and most
- 0:06Speaker 1: recognizable stars. I'm so excited to welcome ninety day the
- 0:10Speaker 1: single life, Big ed Big, I welcome to the show
- 0:14Speaker 1: man Mark. What's up, buddy, It's so nice to see you.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I have to say, you look amazing. You've cut your hair.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I know you've been hitting the gym. You're all about
- 0:23Speaker 1: self care, You're glowing. What's going on? So a lot
- 0:27Speaker 1: of things. One I'm um like I was on the
- 0:31Speaker 1: before the ninety day season. You saw me do that,
- 0:34Speaker 1: and I didn't like how I looked on camera. And
- 0:38Speaker 1: in fact, my friends would joke with me like, hey,
- 0:40Speaker 1: and I know a camera adds ten pounds, but how
- 0:42Speaker 1: many cameras were on you? So I'm like, that's it.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I want to be healthy, I want to feel better,
- 0:47Speaker 1: I want to sleep better. So I'm in the gym
- 0:49Speaker 1: two hours a day. Um, I have a new hairstyle.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I finally got rid of the mop and I'm actually
- 0:56Speaker 1: um working on the inside of myself. I'm trying to
- 0:59Speaker 1: get the no Big ad on better level. So I've
- 1:01Speaker 1: been doing some therapy, which is um really awesome, really awesome. Yeah,
- 1:05Speaker 1: therapy is great. So for those who might not know you,
- 1:09Speaker 1: who might not be familiar with you from the show.
- 1:11Speaker 1: We first got to know you from Fiance, where you
- 1:15Speaker 1: were pursuing a relationship with your now ex girlfriend Rose,
- 1:19Speaker 1: and then you went on to document your journey back
- 1:22Speaker 1: into the world of dating on this new show, which
- 1:26Speaker 1: is a spinoff on Discovery Plus. It's called Single Life.
- 1:30Speaker 1: And on this series, we see you start a romantic
- 1:33Speaker 1: relationship with Liz. That's a woman who was working at
- 1:37Speaker 1: your favorite restaurant in San Diego, and you guys went
- 1:40Speaker 1: from being friends to dating pretty quickly. And on the
- 1:44Speaker 1: series we see your ups and downs. We see a
- 1:47Speaker 1: few awkward moments, a few awkward kisses, but it's a
- 1:50Speaker 1: lot of fun to watch. And um, you seem to
- 1:52Speaker 1: really have fallen for Liz. Uh. Any episodes that I've watched,
- 1:56Speaker 1: you seem like you really care about her, like she's
- 1:58Speaker 1: the one for you. Um. And then this week it
- 2:02Speaker 1: was announced on Lizza's social media page that you split up,
- 2:06Speaker 1: So I wanted to see what is really going on?
- 2:08Speaker 1: Are you single? Are you in a relationship? Wow? Um?
- 2:13Speaker 1: So what I love about Discovery Plus is they have
- 2:16Speaker 1: all of the content that I filmed with UM with
- 2:20Speaker 1: the TLC franchise. It's all in one envelope. So you
- 2:23Speaker 1: can go watch all the Roses, Journey, strike Backs, um
- 2:27Speaker 1: bears all and you also get to UM watch all
- 2:31Speaker 1: of the episodes that Liz and I are in. So
- 2:35Speaker 1: the only thing I can say to that is is
- 2:37Speaker 1: that you've got to watch the show. There's still a
- 2:39Speaker 1: lot more drama, there's a lot more laughter, there's a
- 2:42Speaker 1: lot more tears. You just gotta stay douned right. So,
- 2:46Speaker 1: but for those who are wondering, who are watching social
- 2:48Speaker 1: media closely, we don't see Liz on your social media anymore.
- 2:52Speaker 1: She posted a picture with a broken heart emoji, saying
- 2:55Speaker 1: that she cares about you and that she cherishes the
- 2:57Speaker 1: time with you. But it sounds like you guys are
- 3:01Speaker 1: not together. Like I said, you have to watch the show.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You never know. Are you in a relationship? Can you
- 3:08Speaker 1: at least tell me that are you? Are you dating
- 3:10Speaker 1: someone right now? I'm in a relationship right now. He's
- 3:13Speaker 1: he weighs about seven pounds and his name is Teddy.
- 3:16Speaker 1: He's my dog. I'm getting no um. Look, you're gonna
- 3:19Speaker 1: have to watch the show. There is the there's the
- 3:22Speaker 1: final episode that air's this Sunday, which will be incredible.
- 3:26Speaker 1: That's all I can tell you. UM. And also then
- 3:30Speaker 1: we have two episodes of the tell All which a
- 3:32Speaker 1: lot more goes down there. So you just have to
- 3:35Speaker 1: watch man, it is UM, it is gonna be explosive.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I when I did the tell All last year, um,
- 3:43Speaker 1: which was their highest rated tell all on TLC history. UM,
- 3:47Speaker 1: I thought that was explosive. Oh my god, just wait.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I mean, look, you guys go back and watch our
- 3:52Speaker 1: story so you really understand all of the ups and
- 3:55Speaker 1: downs that listen, I have been through and um, and
- 3:59Speaker 1: why the show on Sunday. There's a lot more to come.
- 4:02Speaker 1: That's all I can say. Take me back to the
- 4:05Speaker 1: first night that you and Liz were romantic together. You
- 4:09Speaker 1: said it was like fireworks. It was a really special moment.
- 4:12Speaker 1: She said that she had to teach you some things
- 4:15Speaker 1: how to how to kiss. What what's the deal with that?
- 4:18Speaker 1: Is that true? Did you? Was she exaggerating? Well? First
- 4:22Speaker 1: of all, I haven't been with a woman romantically in
- 4:27Speaker 1: twenty nine years. I've had you know, my occasional you know, whatever,
- 4:30Speaker 1: the cups, whatever you want to call him. But it's
- 4:33Speaker 1: a completely different experience when you have feelings for that
- 4:36Speaker 1: other person. And the only thing I can say to
- 4:38Speaker 1: that Mark is it was one of the best nights
- 4:43Speaker 1: of my life. Did Liz teach me things? Absolutely? Absolutely?
- 4:50Speaker 1: And hey, I didn't do such a bad job. But
- 4:53Speaker 1: it was a great, wonderful, unforgettable evening in a in
- 4:59Speaker 1: a wonderful hotel up in Lake Carolhead. We're at a
- 5:03Speaker 1: wedding and you know, all those romantic feelings everybody around.
- 5:07Speaker 1: He was in love and it was great. It was
- 5:10Speaker 1: absolutely great. Okay, So I watched the clip where your
- 5:15Speaker 1: daughter Tiffany, who's in her late twenties, uh, meets Liz
- 5:19Speaker 1: for the first time and Liz is also in her
- 5:21Speaker 1: late twenties and you're fifty. Um, take me through that moment,
- 5:25Speaker 1: because it felt a little uncomfortable to watch because your
- 5:28Speaker 1: daughter seemed visibly upset, she felt a little embarrassed. Maybe, Um,
- 5:34Speaker 1: what did you take away from that that conversation? Well,
- 5:38Speaker 1: so to back up a little bit, Um, when I
- 5:41Speaker 1: bought a ticket where I never heard of the FCE show, Um,
- 5:46Speaker 1: I fell in love with Rose. I bought a ticket,
- 5:48Speaker 1: I went down to the Philippines. Um, and I didn't
- 5:51Speaker 1: tell my daughter anything. I didn't tell her anything about Rose.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Literally the day before I was leaving for the Philippines,
- 5:56Speaker 1: I let Tiffany know that I had a girlfriend and
- 5:59Speaker 1: and I bought a ray and I'm going down to
- 6:00Speaker 1: the Philippines. I mean, she was freaking out. Um, So
- 6:03Speaker 1: here we go again. Um. Seemed to you know, Ed
- 6:06Speaker 1: is now in love with another girl that is younger
- 6:08Speaker 1: than his own daughter. So I purposely wanted to get
- 6:12Speaker 1: my daughter involved as soon as possible. Liz thought it
- 6:15Speaker 1: was a bad idea to meet Tiffany so soon, and
- 6:19Speaker 1: and so did Tiffany. So you know, it felt awkward.
- 6:22Speaker 1: The interview felt awkward because it was Tiffany was uncomfortable,
- 6:26Speaker 1: you know, Liz was uncomfortable. I was uncomfortable. And there's
- 6:29Speaker 1: one thing I do want to clear up. I said
- 6:31Speaker 1: that that that Liz kind of reminds me of you.
- 6:34Speaker 1: What I meant by that was is that my daughter
- 6:37Speaker 1: is also a lot like me. She's very stubborn, you know,
- 6:40Speaker 1: she's a she's a smart ass, which I love. And
- 6:42Speaker 1: Liz is too. She's stubborn and she's a smart ass,
- 6:45Speaker 1: and she's wonderful and my daughter's wonderful. So you know,
- 6:49Speaker 1: I just want to kind of clear that air that
- 6:51Speaker 1: that's you know, what what I said on the show
- 6:54Speaker 1: is really what I meant was that they are similar
- 6:56Speaker 1: in personalities. But um, but yeah, look I'm um. You know,
- 7:02Speaker 1: I'm at a great place in my life. I'm focusing
- 7:05Speaker 1: on um my future, and I'm learning a lot about myself,
- 7:11Speaker 1: how to be in a relationship, how not to be
- 7:13Speaker 1: in a relationship. And look, you know, in relationships, you
- 7:16Speaker 1: we all put walls up, and it's very common. And
- 7:20Speaker 1: and I've had walls up, and Lizzes had walls up,
- 7:22Speaker 1: and I've been able to take her walls down, She's
- 7:25Speaker 1: been able to take my walls down, and so on
- 7:27Speaker 1: it towards so it's kind of a it's kind of
- 7:29Speaker 1: a up and down roller coaster relationship, and that's why
- 7:33Speaker 1: you have to pay attention, I mean, or stay doomed
- 7:37Speaker 1: right And and watching this season, it feels as though
- 7:40Speaker 1: sometimes you are more of the aggressor and you want
- 7:43Speaker 1: to move things along work quickly than Liz does. When
- 7:46Speaker 1: you're watching it back, can you see that do you
- 7:49Speaker 1: see that maybe it was you were pushing things along
- 7:51Speaker 1: too soon or do you feel like that felt organic
- 7:54Speaker 1: for you at the time? You know, absolutely not, And
- 7:56Speaker 1: with all due respect Mark, there is so much So
- 8:00Speaker 1: can you imagine for a minute being in a relationship
- 8:03Speaker 1: that's on TV, that's going on at the same time.
- 8:07Speaker 1: So was it rushed? Well, sure it was, I mean absolutely,
- 8:11Speaker 1: you know, but there's so much that happened off camera
- 8:15Speaker 1: that people didn't get to see. And um, Liz is
- 8:19Speaker 1: a wonderful, beautiful, smart, intelligent, data dedicated mother who's doing
- 8:25Speaker 1: her best to survive. And and that's really um why
- 8:29Speaker 1: I fell in love with her because she UM. I
- 8:32Speaker 1: was enamored by her. I was impressed and how independent
- 8:36Speaker 1: she is. Oh my god, she is so independent. I
- 8:39Speaker 1: would try to buy her things and she would freak out,
- 8:42Speaker 1: but she didn't want me spending money on her. But I,
- 8:45Speaker 1: you know, here's my first girlfriend. I want to shower
- 8:47Speaker 1: her with love and and and nice things. And she
- 8:50Speaker 1: was always somewhat uncomfortable with that. UM, But I get
- 8:53Speaker 1: the best I could in the amount of time that
- 8:56Speaker 1: we were together to spoil her and her daughter, to
- 9:00Speaker 1: UM have us the three of us spend as much
- 9:04Speaker 1: time as we could together. And so you know the
- 9:08Speaker 1: show looks like it moves pretty fast. Well, you know,
- 9:10Speaker 1: there's only what twelve episodes right then? And this happened
- 9:15Speaker 1: over a span of Um, we filmed for six months.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I knew. I've known Liz for eight months and I
- 9:22Speaker 1: do want to stay for the record though. Mark that
- 9:24Speaker 1: in Contro, which is an awesome restaurant in North part Um,
- 9:28Speaker 1: and Contro was my girlfriend first I was there. Um,
- 9:32Speaker 1: I was mainly there because of my fan base, and
- 9:34Speaker 1: the owner would call me up and say, hey, um,
- 9:36Speaker 1: we have some fans that drove down from l A.
- 9:38Speaker 1: They want to meet you. I'll give you a Vomba wine.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Well that just became just like my normal. So I
- 9:44Speaker 1: was in there four nights a week, drinking ball beck,
- 9:47Speaker 1: meeting my fans, and then one day I meet Liz
- 9:50Speaker 1: and that's that's kind of how we we met. And
- 9:52Speaker 1: we started to talk and develop a friendship and then
- 9:56Speaker 1: you know, one thing led to another and and we
- 9:58Speaker 1: were offer and running. But I will say this for
- 10:00Speaker 1: the record, Liz made the first move physically, and I
- 10:05Speaker 1: just tried to hang on the whole time. Really really yeah, actually,
- 10:11Speaker 1: how did you Well yeah, yeah, boys don't talk, kid,
- 10:14Speaker 1: you know, but it's I can say this is that, Um,
- 10:17Speaker 1: Liz taught me more about um, how to be in
- 10:21Speaker 1: a relationship than anybody that that I've ever met. And um,
- 10:25Speaker 1: look we had we had great nights in the in
- 10:28Speaker 1: the hot tub and I'm by my fire pit, you know,
- 10:30Speaker 1: drinking mall Beck and champagne and you know, just it
- 10:34Speaker 1: was great. I mean, it was great to have somebody, um,
- 10:38Speaker 1: not just emotionally marked but physically. I mean it felt
- 10:42Speaker 1: good to wake up every morning um and make her
- 10:44Speaker 1: breakfast um or make her bring her her coffee. And
- 10:48Speaker 1: we did a lot of traveling in this short amount
- 10:51Speaker 1: of time. We were from Seattle to Oklahoma City to Phoenix, Arizona,
- 10:56Speaker 1: to Vegas. Like I think we have to Vegas like
- 10:58Speaker 1: four times, so we I don't know, it was somewhat
- 11:01Speaker 1: of a very quick world world romance. I mean it
- 11:07Speaker 1: just happened literally overnight, and you get swept up in
- 11:11Speaker 1: in the emotion and the the activities and whatever. But yeah,
- 11:15Speaker 1: that you know, Yeah, it's I have some amazing memories
- 11:20Speaker 1: with Liz that I'll never forget and it's right in
- 11:22Speaker 1: my backyard. Yeah, you really do. Then the episode I
- 11:26Speaker 1: watched last it ends off with you asking Liz to
- 11:30Speaker 1: move in with you, and then you tell producers on
- 11:32Speaker 1: the side and Liz is a way that you have
- 11:35Speaker 1: picked out an engagement ring and that you would want
- 11:38Speaker 1: to propose in the very near future. Can you share
- 11:41Speaker 1: more about that? How did you know it was the
- 11:44Speaker 1: right time to ask her to move in? How did
- 11:46Speaker 1: you go about picking out a ring? Um, well, what
- 11:51Speaker 1: you didn't see on the show is one day, whep
- 11:54Speaker 1: the mall and um, my favorite stories Tiffany's not because
- 11:58Speaker 1: of my daughter, um, and like, hey, why don't we
- 12:00Speaker 1: walk into Tiffany's and you know, check it out? So
- 12:03Speaker 1: she's like okay, So we go in there. It's during COVID,
- 12:05Speaker 1: so you know, we had our masks. Thought it was
- 12:08Speaker 1: kind of crazy, and we go in. I'm like, hey,
- 12:10Speaker 1: you know, can we look at some engagement rings? And
- 12:12Speaker 1: Liz is kind of turning red. It's so funny, and
- 12:15Speaker 1: I'm like, hey, why don't you try one on? And
- 12:17Speaker 1: literally her hand was shaking, So, UM we left rather quickly.
- 12:23Speaker 1: UM from there, but it's just yeah, so I I
- 12:26Speaker 1: did all of that. Um. You know, I don't want
- 12:29Speaker 1: to spoil what's gonna happen. UM, but I mean, I'm happy.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I can tell you that you're happy. Okay, you look happy,
- 12:39Speaker 1: you look happy. I feel great. I've never felt better,
- 12:43Speaker 1: you know, in my life. And um, yeah, you just
- 12:46Speaker 1: gotta you you, you know, you just gotta watch, you
- 12:49Speaker 1: gotta watch. What would you say is your most sexy
- 12:53Speaker 1: quality about yourself? My sexiest quality? Um? I think my eyes? Like, um,
- 13:02Speaker 1: people tell me, they tell me, tell me do things.
- 13:04Speaker 1: They say I have a beautiful eyes and this is
- 13:07Speaker 1: a weird one. They like my hands. They're like, you
- 13:09Speaker 1: have whole hands. I'm like, really you have no? I mean,
- 13:13Speaker 1: it's crazy. I'm like, I would have never thought that
- 13:14Speaker 1: was my friend. Jamie's like you you have very nice hands.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I'm like, what a great couple of Um but no, big,
- 13:20Speaker 1: it's the whole package, you know. I'm I'm m I
- 13:25Speaker 1: have a zest for life. Um yeah, I'm I'm happy.
- 13:30Speaker 1: You know. Liz mentioned that she had a hard time
- 13:33Speaker 1: following you on Instagram because you share so much of
- 13:36Speaker 1: your life with your your followers. Uh do how often
- 13:40Speaker 1: do you women slide into your d m s? How
- 13:42Speaker 1: often do people try to reach out to you and
- 13:45Speaker 1: get your attention? And what does it take to get
- 13:47Speaker 1: big ads attention in a romantic way. Um, you mean,
- 13:51Speaker 1: um today today, like this morning, like I have a
- 13:56Speaker 1: I have a I have I have Um, I got
- 14:00Speaker 1: other marriage proposal this morning, um from a Galli met
- 14:03Speaker 1: in Fort Lauderdale. Um, you know it's here's what it is. Um.
- 14:07Speaker 1: The my family gives me love, lives gives me love.
- 14:11Speaker 1: My mom gives me love. My daughter Teddy, they give
- 14:14Speaker 1: me love. But my my fans, UM give me my
- 14:17Speaker 1: energy to to They let me know mark that I'm
- 14:21Speaker 1: in the right place, moving in the right direction. Now. Look,
- 14:24Speaker 1: I get a ton of hate and I choose to
- 14:26Speaker 1: ignore it because it's a lot of the stuff they
- 14:29Speaker 1: say about me is not true. Um, and they actually
- 14:32Speaker 1: have made me viral. But UM, I love taking pictures
- 14:35Speaker 1: with girls. I'm not gonna lie. It feels really really good.
- 14:38Speaker 1: But it's also an opportunity for me to kind of
- 14:41Speaker 1: inspire them, you know, and kind of make their day.
- 14:44Speaker 1: And and you know, I mean, these these women will
- 14:46Speaker 1: like don't be shaky, Like they'll oh my god, him
- 14:48Speaker 1: shaking around, like why are you shaking? You know, just relax,
- 14:51Speaker 1: you know, take the picture or the picture won't turn out.
- 14:54Speaker 1: But I was most recently with Liz up in Newport
- 14:57Speaker 1: Beach and Um, we're walking down, We're doing a little
- 15:02Speaker 1: bit of shopping, and um, this eight year old boy
- 15:05Speaker 1: kind of comes around the corner and with his skateboard
- 15:07Speaker 1: and just freezes in his in his tracks and he goes,
- 15:10Speaker 1: are you the guy from TikTok. I'm like, yes, I am,
- 15:13Speaker 1: and he goes, you are a legend. He leans into
- 15:16Speaker 1: you're a legend, and I'm like, I mean for me, Mark,
- 15:20Speaker 1: just like taking pictures with my with with um, you know,
- 15:24Speaker 1: the younger women. I get as much satisfaction out of
- 15:27Speaker 1: this eight year old boy telling me that I'm a legend, Um,
- 15:30Speaker 1: that I can impact his life as I do, you know.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And Fort Lauderdale, but yeah, I do. You know. It's
- 15:36Speaker 1: you know, like I said, Liz, ha, we we had
- 15:37Speaker 1: our ups and downs, and when you know, when we're
- 15:40Speaker 1: in our off moments, I would be you know, in
- 15:42Speaker 1: Fort Lauderdale or Vegas with my daughter and and I
- 15:45Speaker 1: can't I mean, I get I get swarmed, I get
- 15:48Speaker 1: surrounded by these fans. And there was one incident. I
- 15:53Speaker 1: was at the wharf in Fort Lauderdale. This happened recently,
- 15:56Speaker 1: and I walk in It's never happened to me before.
- 15:58Speaker 1: And literally the whole bar stood up at once and
- 16:02Speaker 1: started to walk towards me, and it literally scared the
- 16:06Speaker 1: hev gbs. I mean security guard had to whisk me
- 16:09Speaker 1: off to the side. I eventually took pictures with just
- 16:12Speaker 1: about everybody in that bar, but at that moment, I'm like,
- 16:15Speaker 1: oh my god, this is like, it wasn't fun that
- 16:19Speaker 1: that incident kind of scared me a little bit. You
- 16:21Speaker 1: become like Elvis in a way. You're almost like people
- 16:24Speaker 1: just want to attack you and have a piece of you.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Have you changed? Has Fame changed you since you've been
- 16:30Speaker 1: on Really? Have you seen my Elvis costume? So? Yeah?
- 16:36Speaker 1: Has it changed me? Well, let's put it this way. Um,
- 16:38Speaker 1: I'm I'm, I'm I'm an ordained minister now and um,
- 16:43Speaker 1: I have an offer to marry somebody in the UK
- 16:46Speaker 1: in my Elvis custome. Has this changed me? Um? You
- 16:50Speaker 1: know what? Not? Of course it has, um And one
- 16:54Speaker 1: thing that I want to really um that Liz really
- 16:57Speaker 1: helped me understanding about myself was this is like, look,
- 17:00Speaker 1: you know, I don't want to date Big Ed. I
- 17:03Speaker 1: want to date Ed and I'm not your fan Liz
- 17:07Speaker 1: told me when we first started dating. Look, I want
- 17:09Speaker 1: to make it clear to you, I'm not your fan.
- 17:10Speaker 1: You know, I don't like your stickers. I'm okay with
- 17:13Speaker 1: the fans coming up, but i'm your girlfriend, you know,
- 17:16Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not a fan. And I got that
- 17:19Speaker 1: same feedback from my therapist and she's been she's been
- 17:23Speaker 1: really able to help me distinguish that there's the the
- 17:27Speaker 1: character big Head that I created on screen, which is
- 17:30Speaker 1: just a character, that's all he is, and and he's
- 17:33Speaker 1: a performer and he's an entertainer, and then there's the
- 17:36Speaker 1: Ed who's the human that you know, at the end
- 17:39Speaker 1: of the day when um, you know he's not around
- 17:42Speaker 1: the people that he loves, he's sad, you know. So,
- 17:46Speaker 1: um has it changed me? Absolutely? And I'll say this, Mark,
- 17:50Speaker 1: I UM knew at a very young age that I
- 17:53Speaker 1: was gonna be known. They were just this was this
- 17:56Speaker 1: feeling I had. I never knew how, I never knew cool, what, when,
- 18:02Speaker 1: where and why? And the fact that this has happened
- 18:06Speaker 1: to me so late in my life is it's just interesting.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Like I literally was. I was a very successful German
- 18:14Speaker 1: interior designer. Um I worked for first high end show room.
- 18:18Speaker 1: I had a million dollar clients, and Um, I fell
- 18:22Speaker 1: in love with Rose online on Facebook and she's like,
- 18:26Speaker 1: why don't you come and see me. I'm like, okay,
- 18:27Speaker 1: So I bought a ticket and I posted on Facebook.
- 18:30Speaker 1: My buddy Richard who's on the show, sent me the
- 18:32Speaker 1: link because they watched it all the time. I've never
- 18:35Speaker 1: seen the show, and I filled it out like it
- 18:36Speaker 1: was a lot of tickets, right, And and that's how
- 18:40Speaker 1: this all started. Within two hours, you know, I'm on
- 18:44Speaker 1: the phone with them and and the rest is history.
- 18:46Speaker 1: And now I'm world. It's insane to me how well
- 18:51Speaker 1: known I am. And they told me early on ed
- 18:54Speaker 1: You're gonna there are a lot of the producers are like,
- 18:56Speaker 1: I've been doing this twenty three years and there's something
- 18:59Speaker 1: about that. People are gonna love it. I didn't see it,
- 19:03Speaker 1: Like I couldn't see it, right, Um, are you are
- 19:06Speaker 1: yourny talent? Do you have in your regrets about the
- 19:08Speaker 1: way things played out with Rows? Are you guys in
- 19:10Speaker 1: contact at all? Yeah? Well, I'm friends with her on
- 19:14Speaker 1: I didn't realize I had actually had blocked her, but
- 19:16Speaker 1: now I'm we're friends on Instagram and I I reach
- 19:21Speaker 1: out to your every once in a while. She looks
- 19:23Speaker 1: freaking amazing. She just got her hair cut, um, and
- 19:27Speaker 1: I want to I want to see her one day.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I fell in love with not just Rose, but her
- 19:32Speaker 1: son Prince and her dad, Freddie, who has a pig farm,
- 19:36Speaker 1: and we actually talked about investing and you know, going
- 19:40Speaker 1: into the pig business. But um, I'm so happy that
- 19:45Speaker 1: because of the show and me, that Rose is one
- 19:50Speaker 1: of the most well known faces in the Philippines. She
- 19:52Speaker 1: just bought another pig farm for her dad. She built
- 19:55Speaker 1: a second story house. She has over eight and a
- 19:58Speaker 1: thousand followers on YouTube. And when I go back and
- 20:02Speaker 1: look at our episodes, which is kind of it's almost
- 20:05Speaker 1: like for me, like God had his hand in this.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Like I think God was not not just looking out
- 20:10Speaker 1: for me, but it was also looking out for Roads,
- 20:13Speaker 1: which is why it didn't work out. But I could
- 20:17Speaker 1: not have fell in love at the time with a
- 20:20Speaker 1: more perfect person to be on TV with. And that's
- 20:23Speaker 1: not why I did it. Like, if you go back
- 20:25Speaker 1: and watch her scenes like and our scenes, it's like
- 20:29Speaker 1: all the dumb things you asked me what I regret,
- 20:31Speaker 1: I regret the way I said that things said. Absolutely,
- 20:34Speaker 1: you know, asking a girl on international TV to shaver
- 20:37Speaker 1: her legs and press your teeth, you know it wasn't
- 20:40Speaker 1: the most tactful or appropriate thing to do. Um, my
- 20:43Speaker 1: daughter's like, Dad, why don't you get an STD test
- 20:46Speaker 1: before you went down and then asked her to take one?
- 20:49Speaker 1: That would have been the appropriate approach. But obviously I
- 20:52Speaker 1: blew that one. Um when I got back, I got tested,
- 20:55Speaker 1: and like my daughter's like, Dad, you you kind of
- 20:57Speaker 1: screwed up. So, UM, I regret It's that I don't
- 21:01Speaker 1: regret falling in love with Rose. I don't regret um
- 21:05Speaker 1: going there. And I and I spent a lot of
- 21:08Speaker 1: money like that all is all out of pocket, you
- 21:11Speaker 1: know they oh, oh the show page rather than I
- 21:14Speaker 1: know they don't the shows. Like, look, if we did,
- 21:16Speaker 1: then we're responsible for Rose and we can't be. So
- 21:19Speaker 1: you know that's all real. That every dime I spend
- 21:21Speaker 1: that was you know, they just they just came along
- 21:24Speaker 1: for the ride to tell my story. And if the
- 21:26Speaker 1: Rose is listening right now, what would you want her
- 21:29Speaker 1: to know? Okay, Rose, if you're listening, Um, I love
- 21:33Speaker 1: your new hair. Um, I'm so proud of you. And
- 21:37Speaker 1: one thing that I noticed recently about you, Um, roses
- 21:43Speaker 1: that I because I know at the time you didn't
- 21:44Speaker 1: have a job. You weren't working, Um, but you got
- 21:48Speaker 1: up every day and made Prince breakfast. You walked him
- 21:51Speaker 1: to school, and you waited at school, and you walked
- 21:54Speaker 1: him home. UM. I want you to know how proud
- 21:57Speaker 1: I am because of from having nothing, Rose. You were
- 22:01Speaker 1: a great mom, and you are a great mom. So
- 22:03Speaker 1: I acknowledge you Rose for being an amazing mother. And
- 22:07Speaker 1: I have so much respect for you in that sense,
- 22:09Speaker 1: and I wish you the best amount of success. I
- 22:13Speaker 1: am a little bit upset that I only have forty
- 22:15Speaker 1: three thousand followers on YouTube and and you have over
- 22:18Speaker 1: eight hundred. I don't know how that happened, but but
- 22:21Speaker 1: so what congratulations. I hope I see it one day. Um,
- 22:25Speaker 1: I might come and visit you, and I want to
- 22:27Speaker 1: see Freddie and his big farm and and see Prince.
- 22:30Speaker 1: I think you will. And we touched on this earlier.
- 22:32Speaker 1: But with fame comes social media trolls and opinions, and
- 22:38Speaker 1: you know you you, I think you know this. Some
- 22:40Speaker 1: people have a negative view of you online. What is
- 22:43Speaker 1: your response to the haters who rejoice in your failures
- 22:48Speaker 1: and the things that don't go right for you, what
- 22:50Speaker 1: do you say to them? So to all my haters
- 22:53Speaker 1: out there, um, um, thank you for my brand new BMW,
- 22:58Speaker 1: thank you so very much. Um. First of all, Mark,
- 23:01Speaker 1: I don't read the hate. And the way I look
- 23:04Speaker 1: at it is this is that there if somebody has
- 23:08Speaker 1: actually feel sorry for them. If somebody has or is
- 23:11Speaker 1: going to take the time to create a fake account
- 23:14Speaker 1: to say something bad about anybody, Um, I feel sorry
- 23:18Speaker 1: for you, I really really do. But look, I can
- 23:21Speaker 1: take it. You can bring all the hate you want.
- 23:23Speaker 1: And they there is so much fictitious and un um um,
- 23:30Speaker 1: just untruth on on, not just for me, but for
- 23:33Speaker 1: any one that's in the public eye. And look, I
- 23:36Speaker 1: take full responsibility for putting myself out there. And that's
- 23:40Speaker 1: the risk that you take. My life is now an
- 23:44Speaker 1: open book. I mean I admitted on international TV that
- 23:47Speaker 1: I was unfaithful to my first wife. I mean that's
- 23:50Speaker 1: the truth. I was a young, dumb kid. Um. Now
- 23:53Speaker 1: that people hear that, you're like, oh, he's a cheater
- 23:55Speaker 1: or you know whatever, whatever whatever you know. I Um,
- 23:58Speaker 1: two things. One, I don't care. I don't read the
- 24:03Speaker 1: negative negativity. You guys are actually making me popular, so
- 24:07Speaker 1: I in a way, I kind of thank you. But
- 24:08Speaker 1: here's where I draw the line is when I hear
- 24:12Speaker 1: about a thirteen year old that committed suicide because they
- 24:15Speaker 1: were bullied, that makes me sick to my stomach. Yeah,
- 24:19Speaker 1: bullying is not cool, either inline online or in person.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Before we go, I want to ask you something. So
- 24:26Speaker 1: I know you typically like to date younger women, but
- 24:29Speaker 1: you make one exception, and that woman would be j Lo,
- 24:33Speaker 1: who we love here in the podcast. Jaylo was almost
- 24:36Speaker 1: I think fifty one years old, so she's age appropriate.
- 24:38Speaker 1: If Jlo was listening, um, what would you want her
- 24:42Speaker 1: to know about Big Ed? And have you tried to
- 24:44Speaker 1: shoot your shot with her yet? Okay, So, first of all,
- 24:48Speaker 1: j Lo is someone that I have um admired for
- 24:53Speaker 1: many many years. Um. I love the fact that she
- 24:56Speaker 1: grew up in the Bronx and that she started Um,
- 25:00Speaker 1: you know, she had to, she had to crawl her
- 25:03Speaker 1: way to the top. And she is perhaps one of
- 25:06Speaker 1: the most beautiful women that I've ever met. And if so,
- 25:09Speaker 1: j Lo, if you're listening, if you have if you
- 25:12Speaker 1: have one else a pity called big Ed, that's hilarious
- 25:20Speaker 1: and yeah, so and you know what, I'm learning this too. So, um,
- 25:24Speaker 1: you know you gotta watch the show, but say that
- 25:27Speaker 1: it never did work out between Liz and I. Um,
- 25:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna definitely go for a j Lo. I'm gonna
- 25:33Speaker 1: go for a much older woman. And actually I'm gonna
- 25:37Speaker 1: let me let me correct myself. I would say this.
- 25:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna say that as long as it's the appropriate age.
- 25:43Speaker 1: I don't care how old they are. As long um
- 25:47Speaker 1: as they they respect me. I can trust them and
- 25:51Speaker 1: they care about me. That's my number one, you know
- 25:55Speaker 1: goal in life. If you know things don't work out,
- 25:59Speaker 1: those are your non negotiables. Listen, those are non Big
- 26:03Speaker 1: It's been such a pleasure to have you on this show.
- 26:06Speaker 1: For everyone at home to see more of Big ed
- 26:09Speaker 1: his show ninety Day The Single Life That Tell All,
- 26:12Speaker 1: Part one episode begins streaming tomorrow Sunday, May sixteenth, on
- 26:16Speaker 1: Discovery Plus. And for all the Natis, I'll see you
- 26:19Speaker 1: guys back here on Thursday with Rob as we break
- 26:22Speaker 1: down all the juiciest celebrity news of the day. Have
- 26:26Speaker 1: a great weekend.
