- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: So let's just dive on into it.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: Browns news this week.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_02]: Conflicting reports.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_02]: We're either getting some money back.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_02]: We're getting
- 2:02[SPEAKER_02]: For the Shawn Watson's basically zero service the Browns, we're getting anywhere from like a buck 50 to a quarter of a billion dollars back.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody seems to know.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's somewhere in there.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: Josh, you're kind of the guy who's like, big on this, what's going on are the Browns getting any cap relief if they are when and does it actually help us as it meaningful?
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: So they are getting cap relief.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's not the 88.9 million dollars that Mike Florio reported.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: So this whole thing is really confusing.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: As you guys know, and I heat telling people on social media, this is why the Browns have to go and other teams have to hire Harvard grads to understand this nonsense.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like the stuff is crazy.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: And of course the team declined to comment, they're not gonna talk about this stuff, but
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: from what I gather out of this is the NFL P.A.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: Accounting Report, Mike Florio, Proofable Talk, they got this report and they saw these numbers and put them all together out of the month and said, hey, that's about $88.9 million in cat credit coming back to the Browns from 2024 to 2020 nine over that span.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: Sweet.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: Sounds really good, we got all excited, shared that number around.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: And then over the cap guys came out, jacked out from the OBR2 said, I don't think that's right guys.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think those numbers are incorrect.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: And what would essentially happen if you guys have seen the chart, the graph, whatever of all these numbers, there was an original, like pro ratio number, and then there was a revised number.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: and what you had to do, what my floor, the step he skipped, you got to take those two numbers and subtract them.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: You got to take the original number, subtract the revised number, and what you're left with, that's the cap relief, and you add all those numbers up, it's about 9.8.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: $0.00.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Holy moly.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little bit of a difference from Holy moly.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay and moving on.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: Another topics with Cleveland.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: I was getting going guys.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: So sorry.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_04]: Like when you guys saw that number, did you not fall out of your seats?
- 4:13[SPEAKER_04]: Because we've been trying to figure this out.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_04]: four to the last two years of if we're going to get anything back.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_04]: And I know Josh and I have had a discussion before and it was like $2 million here.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes it was like $200,000.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_04]: And then they come up with this 88 million value.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, this has got to be fawny baloney man.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_04]: Like what's going on here?
- 4:35[SPEAKER_04]: And now this makes way more sense.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: I, so in terms of like, that's just in salary cap relief, right?
- 4:45[SPEAKER_02]: Did Jimmy has a McCoup cash?
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm assuming, because if not, what's the point that's going on?
- 4:54[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm saying.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: Why else would they do the insurance?
- 4:57[SPEAKER_02]: Correct.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: I guess the insurance makes sense to protect your investment in terms of your own personal bank account.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_02]: But in terms of the team, I mean,
- 5:10[SPEAKER_02]: If, if Deshawn Watson's history and Cleveland doesn't get you a boatload of cap relief from this kind of stuff, nobody's going to get you any, I mean, how much does a guy have to miss to get meaningful cap relief from this?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you can't miss much more time than he's missing, he's been here.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and from what I've been reading and again, you guys don't take anything I say is like gospel on any of this because I don't understand it completely.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still trying to wrap me head around all these numbers and the way this works.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: But I think you can only really take insurance out on the guaranteed money or like the the bonus part of.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: they can't I'm not sure, but either way, like all of his contract obviously is guaranteed.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: So every year that they restructure, they're, you know, moving part of the, the roster bonus into a sign, whatever, they're doing stuff for the bonus.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: So these numbers change.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: So that like that 9.8 that this added up to, that's not the official number.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's not the final number and there might be more to it.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: This is just a, what they're thinking it is.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think any of this is set in stone or anything like that.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: I know when I saw it, I thought maybe this would make me feel a little bit better about the last four years and it just came away going, who really cares?
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: At the end of the day, he signed a five-year fully guaranteed contract and is earned about
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: 8 million of that over the out of the 240 so Jimmy's getting some back.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, I guess good business move as far as for what it did for the team damage done four years loss pro doesn't matter what money we get back doesn't matter what nine millions we get back over the next five years I mean at a guy a depth piece.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: I guess over the next five years if you want two million a year or something, but
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: like at the end of the day, I still have a bad taste of my mouth about the whole thing sucks.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: And the 88 million doesn't do anything for me.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: I go, hey, I'm glad Jimmy got some of the back.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm glad we did the swing at the end of the day because we've always said that, you know, we wanted to do that, but it doesn't take away the sting of what transpired with this whole thing.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and that's kind of what I've been talking about, too, if people was
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: whatever this number ends up being nine point eight it's definitely not the 89 million but the show is a 230 million dollar guarantee contract he gets two hundred thirty million dollars end of the day no matter what so he's walking away with that money at the end of this and like you said like we're walking away with essentially nothing gained from it actually a whole loss he lost yeah we lost our super bowl core that we thought could be you know the next two three years it went out the window very very quickly
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: talk about the like the highest of highs in the lowest of lows too fair it's it almost it's it's obviously worse because we gave up way more and it's the quarterback and and everything that goes with it and what it costs us but I kind of at least the feeling in terms of when we added them to the roster it's like the feeling of when we got OBJ.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_02]: I still remember being at Chili's and getting the notification that we got OBJ and just like I couldn't even believe That we did it.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't write my head around it.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: I just like wanted to go paste around the restaurant like that's kind of like whenever we got the shot I just remember just being like
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna be super real contenders.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: Like the browns have finally done it.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like the browns have finally added the piece that we've been looking for my entire life And just like the high I felt it's almost like when Rajay Davis hit the the whole night like just the high I felt take me there
- 8:35[SPEAKER_02]: and then just it's all taken away and then five years later, four years later, whatever it's been known, it just like we're just in the dumps.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_02]: We're worse off than we've ever been and it's just like man.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_02]: If Cleveland sports doesn't humble you, I don't know what will.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, nothing can hurt you if you're a Browns fan, that's for sure.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_04]: That's true.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, bye.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_02]: So what will continue obviously if like we get clarification on that, you know, well, obviously keep reporting on that, but just kind of give you a little bit of insight on, on at least what we can make of it.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: And honestly, it's really just what Josh can make of it.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just some, uh, yeah, sounds right.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_02]: Sounds good.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: Jackson, what?
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to say just follow follow Jack Duffin.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody out there like, you don't.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: People will lead you in a stray.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Mike Florio.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this really got everybody all like, hey, look at all this money we're getting back and then we all had the kind of together go, oh Hey, we're wrong.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that was rough So I had some other stuff that came out about the bronzes week.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of wanted to get into these these lists these rankings.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know if that's
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: I guess the the the the biggest one I want to talk about I feel like it's probably where we raked in terms of the roster do you have these lists like in front of you Josh if you talk for about 30 more seconds I'll get that one up okay so my computer was dead before this so my my messages aren't synced in here so I don't have them on here or else I would have had them I'm like looking at text messages from a month ago my computer and I was very confused why I got
- 10:09[SPEAKER_02]: Well, just like, yeah.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: So what do you want to know about this is that this is the overall who who ranked us in and it was just what roster on paper.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so it's projected starting line up.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: And this is from ESPN, Mike Clay, Aaron Schatz, Seth Walter.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, just, I'll just go through like the top five.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_01]: Number one's the Rams.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: If the Rams are number one, two's the Eagles.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: Three of the Seahawks, four of the bills, and then five is the Ravens.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: And you got a scroll scroll all the way to damn near the bottom to hit number 31 out of 32 for your Cleveland Browns.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: Which?
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: Let me just, so everybody might be wondering, who's the only team after us?
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: Miami Dolphins makes sense.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, that's a very bad roster ahead of us.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: A 29 is the Atlanta Falcons.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: And then I guess this is tied 29 airs on the Cardinals.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: 28 Tennessee Titans and 27 the Las Vegas Raiders, which let me know what you guys think.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: I was, when I saw the Raiders and the Titans and the Cardinals ahead of us, I was like,
- 11:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, here's I of all this one.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not totally shocked where the Browns are, but no, I'm kind of surprised at how low the Falcons were.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I've, I don't know their offensive line.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know their defensive person, though, really, but I do know that they have
- 11:28[SPEAKER_02]: you know, Beishon Robinson and Drake London and Kyle Pitts and some weapons.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_02]: So I was kind of surprised to see them that low for the Browns guys.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I feel like Browns fans reactions probably immediately were just like,
- 11:44[SPEAKER_02]: What, how could we possibly be this low?
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the problem is, is about 80% of the starting roster for the Browns is gonna be a first or second year player this year.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_02]: There's, everything is pure speculation on how good the Browns are actually gonna be.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_02]: So you can't recommend much higher, like, so I'm not all that surprised, like, even teams like the Cardinals and stuff like that are ahead of us because,
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: on paper we haven't seen Boston we haven't seen Casey out there we haven't seen these guys actually on NFL field playing and as much as like we're all hopeful that Shoulder is going to take a leap this year and it's time to evaluate him with the talent last year if you're just looking based on what you watched in the numbers he was statistically one of the worst quarterbacks in the league last year so and they haven't even named it in the starter
- 12:29[SPEAKER_02]: And if they haven't, so we're a team with no starting quarterback and a bunch of rookie and second year guys who haven't played, it with a rookie head coach.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, immediate reaction could be like you're losing your mind.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_02]: How can we possibly be this low?
- 12:45[SPEAKER_02]: But there's nothing to say that a month into the season.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_02]: This isn't completely different.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_02]: We just haven't seen 60% of our roster play and involved football yet.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, dude, and we just redid our offensive line.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_04]: Correct.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, thank you.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_04]: When you do two new coordinators, let alone a head coach, you know, and you don't have a quarterback, doesn't matter who the opponent is.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_04]: They don't see as a good team.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_04]: Now, that doesn't mean we don't have talent.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_04]: We like what we've got so far and Monkton's kind of sold us on himself, but that hasn't haven't seen it yet.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_04]: It's not tangible.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_04]: So I get why we're 31.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_04]: So what?
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, go ahead, Jess.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I was just going to say, I think you guys absolutely nailed it.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: You have a young roster that's pretty unproven.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: Although we think as Brown's fans that there's some gems in there and there's some serious nice young talent, like Blake said, it's completely unproven and then Kenny you nailed it.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and then the quarterback situation is a huge indictment.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's that's enough to scare off a lot, especially if you look at our track record as far as what we've been as a team.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: It hasn't been, you know, we haven't put our best foot forward over the, you know, since we came back in 99, it's very okay for the critics to just go, yeah, they're probably going to be bad again.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: So they break down for each team a couple different categories for us.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: The biggest strength they listed is actually still the front seven.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: So even though Miles Garrett is gone, they give us a high praise for getting Jared Versan here.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: We still have right McGuire, Mason Graham, Swesinger and then they highlight Quincy Williams coming in here to replace Devin Bush.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's a really nice.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: addition to the defense as well, the biggest weakness for the team quarterback.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: You guys hit on that one.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: We don't need to kill that.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: The X factor for 2026.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: You guys said it.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: The remade offensive line.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: How do they gel?
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: How does this work?
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: Are they better?
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: We hope we think we believe, but we don't know.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: And then the non-starter to know is a manual McNail Warren.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_04]: He's going to be a dog, man.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think so.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_02]: that so much hinges on this revamped offense of line and I think I've said it before if should door plays no better, if the skill guides are no better, everybody is the same or worse than they were a year ago, but the offensive line is significantly better, the offense will automatically look better.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_02]: We'll be able to run the ball better, we'll be able to get some first downs.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_02]: We won't be so one-dimensional, especially once we get
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: If this offensive line is notably better, the offense will be improved, even if nobody else is better than they were last year, we will be better, just by because good teams are built from the inside out, good teams have good offensive lines and they have good defensive lines.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: If you have those two things in place, you can figure everything else out, the offensive line has to be better.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think it ought to be worse.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_04]: I can't even make a prediction like there's so many times like if you look in the comments or people comment on our lives like on YouTube, they're like what do you think the Browns will be and I always come back to the same question or the same conclusion.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what the line offensive line is going to be so can't say anything.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_04]: I guess we're still 5 and 12 till we have an offensive line because the quarterback ain't going to get any better.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_04]: You saw what the offensive line did to the quarterbacks last year.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_04]: you know, it just we couldn't set anything up.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_04]: And until we get to it, till I see that in the preseason, then I can give an estimation after that.

- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't it doesn't move the needle at all other than we get to see guys in and stuff like that.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: And you maybe it figures out some positional battles, but I like I want to see there guys against our guys straight up.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like overly assuming that the browns are going to be like the ravens and play a lot of their stars and run the ball down everybody's throat in the preseason right?
- 18:37[SPEAKER_04]: You know what?
- 18:37[SPEAKER_04]: I think I kind of sound like monkey right now, don't I?
- 18:40[SPEAKER_04]: A little bit.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: Well, horse and raspy.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: I do agree with you though because I mean, it just makes sense that we have to play most of our offensive starters in the preseason because they're all like rookies or second-year guys.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: They need to, they need to, they need the raps, they experience.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_02]: I do not, that was one thing in the last, this defense area that I just, maybe at first when we had Baker Chub and these guys, I understood not playing people in the preseason, but once, once we were kind of out of that window and we were clearly like, we had some new faces in here and they needed to play together in gel.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: I did not understand just never letting them get any reps in the offseason.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_02]: Just look yes, I just that that is something I just didn't understand like I get you don't want to get anybody hurt But you also you can't be scared if they're gonna get hurt they're gonna get hurt and then too like turns out you it's not good to start the season on five
- 19:39[SPEAKER_02]: you know, or one and four, because, oh, you know, we're just now hitting our stride.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: This is our preseason.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: Well, those are preseason for a reason.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: You know, there's only 17 games in a fellow.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: You can't afford to give any away.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: That one game's a difference between making the playoffs and not.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: This isn't the MLB or the MIA, you know, where you can lose 50 games a year.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's just like, I did not understand that.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: And now, and I think preseason honest, I know we always say don't put too much stock in the preseason, but one thing is like how how the team looks.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: does translate to the regular see I remember the 2019 Freddy kitchen season we were so excited for that season like we got OBJ and Baker second season we got this new like it's going to be great.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: I remember I think it was the buck and years wasn't it the first preseason game and we played our starters like the first drive and they looked terrible and it was like oh okay it's it's preseason it's not that big of a deal.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_04]: There was another that's a good point man because remember it was either 21 or 22 and we kept blowing coverages in preseason and then that just carried the whole way through you know so there is there is something to be said for that.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: My thing with the preseason is, I don't really care if you look that great.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_02]: I definitely care if you don't look good, you know, it's a great, there's teams out there that don't win preseason games and they go on to be okay.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: Those teams are probably playing like fist stringers every single game.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_02]: If you're playing in first and second string guys in your preseason games and you look lost and you don't look like you know what you're doing, you're probably not going to be a very good football team that year.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and that's the thing, like, I don't care if you win or lose the game because there's a good chance that their fourth string comes out and attacks on a couple bogus touchdowns against your fourth string.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: Who cares if you win?
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: What matters is, as early as you're in the guys look like they know what they're doing or they coached up, if not, that's a problem.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, Brad says, this is the first time you've seen the AJ Hock jersey behind me.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: I changed my camera angle a little bit.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_02]: I've had that since high school.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's like the one of the things you had the longest in my life.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: Traveling possession.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen that jersey move many houses.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_02]: So do we have any, I know there was a couple other lists.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_02]: Quinsha, Judd Kings, wasn't a top 10 running back, correct?
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: correct.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: So we can do running back to real quick.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_01]: We can talk about that one.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: So he was not, but what I found interesting is, even though he didn't make the top 10 list, he did make the three honorable mentions.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: There were only three, and it was Josh Jacobs, Kiron Williams, and Quint Shawn Judkins.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: So I put out a video.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: I actually know I didn't put it out yet.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'll just give you guys the stats that are coming in that video.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's short video.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: I've talked about this, Quinshawn had the worst, I hate saying that word, the lowest yards before contact per attempt in the entire league, 1.4.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: So 1.4 yards on average, she was getting hit.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: First contact.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: And that was due to the bad offensive line that we've already talked about.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: but not, but even with that poor number against him, he was top 10 in yards after contact, total for the NFL last year.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: And that's missing about three and a half games.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: So the fact that he's able to get hit right away almost when he gets the ball and still be a top 10 running back in yards after contact just give this guy a hole and let's see what he can actually do because he's a fantastic running back.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_04]: It's like you said, he's not on that list for the reason we mentioned that the Browns are 31st on their list for roster, no offensive line, no quarterback, and so they're just going to put them off that list right now because they don't have those things.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: And that's that's beyond it.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the top the it's not like the top 10 list didn't have some good dudes on there.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: You have a listen for any of you yes, it's a honorable mentions the honorable mentions are do the honorable me.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, correct.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so let me let me scroll real quick.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'll start at 10.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_01]: So 10 is Bree's Hall nine is Kenneth Walker.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: eight is Devon HN, seven James Cook, six is Derek Henry, five is Jonathan Taylor, four is Christian McAfrey, three is Sake Juan Barclay, two is Jamir Gives and number one of course, B. John Robinson.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: I did list it beyond.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so it's not like it's not like those two or three head scratches on there where you're going like, how have these guys make it in Quintion didn't know like the list, there's some studs on there and they got to play, you know, in front of not a Swiss cheese offensive line last year.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: Another thing I think that will be huge for the offense this year is going to be motion.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to have pre-snap motion, and we're going to have motion, and it's the time the ball is snapped, that helps a quarterback identify coverage as easier, it just, it gets people in space, it gets the defense thinking, so they're not just selling out, so I think with an improved offensive line, you know, some, some.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_02]: at the snap motions, some pre-snap motion, all that kind of stuff, just to revamp the offensive scheme, I think we'll go a long way, also.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: Quit judging because it has, you can have a big year.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know if you guys have seen him, I was super nervous about that injury in the offseason.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like this.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: The dude looks like he didn't miss it be.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: He looks great.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_00]: He looks really good.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_04]: It's like they're just in shorts, but you know he's explosive.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_04]: Like I know what you're talking about.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_04]: When you see him just bust like a run, he just looks like he's ready and he's explosive.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_04]: And that's something you shouldn't tell in shorts, but it seems like you can with him.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: I fully expected him to be limited or not even participating really in OTAs and stuff here in the spring because it's like, you know, get the leg right, get ready for training camp.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: I thought, well, if he's ready to go for the start of training camp, end of July, that'd be great.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's out there day one of OTAs, no, no, no limitation for a participant.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, that's
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: insane and he looks so I think he's just way ahead of his recovery.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean fortunately for him he was what 21 years old when that injury happened So obviously your body just it can withstand and heal a lot better than it can when you're 28 29 or you know Unfortunately like us 40 It's 37 I was laying on my pillow looking to my right and when my alarm went off I picked up my head too quick to turn it off and looked on my left and I pulled something in my neck
- 26:11[SPEAKER_02]: That I'm working off in a alarm clock clock injury over here, which I'll judge against this back early.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the difference between early 20s and late 30s.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_02]: So, and then I think there was people like me in this guy's.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to say, or maybe difference between athlete and, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_02]: those days are overbrew you said 37 come on now let's be real sure he works out he works out it was a fair previous injury let cramp I need to do some more net curls apparently uh so I know there's I think I saw one more list it was the top cornerbacks correct in our
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, there's actually two more lists I wanted to talk about.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: But yes, this next one corner back.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_01]: So he Denzel Ward landed at number seven on the list.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I can just go through real quick, I'll just start at the top.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: This time, number one was Pat Sertan.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: Two was Derek Stingley, three Christian Gonzalez, four is Devon with her spoon.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: Trent McDuffie is at five, six is Quinion Mitchell.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: And then seven was Denzel Ward, eight is J.C. Horn, nine is Salskartner, ten is Cooper Dijin.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: Well, what about a white guy making a top 10 corners?
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's good for Cooper.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: So good, man.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: I never thought I'd see the day.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_02]: No, no.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: But here we are.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's a new day in the NFL.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: I did hear two like the difference between Denzel could have easily been like four, if it's top four.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like the, you know, it's like a hair difference between these guys.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: And they said his play hasn't slipped.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: Some of these guys are just really, really good.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_02]: And Denzel's getting up in age a little bit now.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_02]: Another Denzel's great.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_02]: I hope he retired as a Cleveland Brown.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just keeping it in my Ohio Ohio State kid.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: Now the Brown, he's been great when he's been here.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_02]: I think Brown's fans kind of underappreciate Denzel Ward.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_02]: He essentially locks down a half of the field.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like, he is, he is very good.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_02]: Jamar Chase never, I mean, I won't say never, because there's been games where the Browns are so not trying.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_02]: But for the most part, Denzo Ward shuts Jamar Chase down.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: There have been multiple top receivers in this league, and they are asked, who the toughest guy who defends you, and they say Denzo Ward.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I feel like Brown's fans under appreciate him a little bit because because of the injury history.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: And I also feel like that's a little bit of a misconception too because he ever he misses what three games a year.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_04]: You know, uh, which is average, which is bad.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody, almost nobody plays all 17 games anymore.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_02]: Unless you're like a quarterback that doesn't get hit, if you're getting 14 high-level games out of your number one corner every single year for his entire career, like, that's good, you know what I mean?
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: So, uh, I,
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: I love having Denzel Ward on this team.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's super undervalued by some brown face.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_04]: It's not like he dieshized away from tackling either.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_04]: Like he's a decent tackler, and like even when he split the guy, when we split through his legs, tackled through his screen, like he's athletic and he made some amazing plays.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_04]: You know, that's why he's always constantly in the top 10.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_00]: for to be 29 to and still be like arguably one of the best man to man corners in the league.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to say anymore.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_00]: Whether it's seven, just to make that list.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: And then you look at some of the names on the list.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking some really, really young guys that are really Christian and Zollis is a dude.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_00]: Stingley, a dude, Sir Tan, dude, like these are another list where you say the other names at positional wise and you're like, yeah, good company.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: Really, really good company
- 29:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I think the injury thing, I always say this, too, to people like, for Denza Award when he's not on the field, one game miss for Denza Award feels like three because you feel it.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: Because he is such a lock down court beat, you don't even know he's out there a lot of the times, because you're just not even trying to go his way when he's not on the field who ever's taken over, that spot is getting attacked right away, that whole game.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_01]: So any games that he misses definitely feels like more just because he's that good.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_04]: I remember when he got drafted by the Browns with Same Year's Baker.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_04]: I was at the store had Baker and I had Lord.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, oh, go with the quarterback.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_03]: It should have stuck with Ward Man.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_04]: Wouldn't have had that jersey for nine freaking seasons.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: So that's a good spot for Denzel Ward, and I'm excited that he's still a brown.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: I hope to see him retire brown here whenever he's called quits.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's 29.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_02]: He's still got arguably what two to three high level seasons left.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_02]: And then see what happens after that.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm excited for Denzel Ward.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_02]: What was this last list you wanted to get into?
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: So the last one's a little bit more fun, I guess.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is the, this is still illustrated.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: So we did ESPN, but now we're doing an SI and it's the NFL uniform rankings.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: Oh boy.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: For 2026, who's got the best look from worst to best?
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: Do you guys have any idea who they said had the worst look in uniforms in the NFL?
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: Is there Seattle?
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: Rams.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: We got a boy.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: That shocks me because I did just everything.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was literally our very first episode.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_02]: Our very first episode, we talked about their uniforms.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: Please, for the love, got to talk about it and watch it.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_03]: It sucks.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_03]: It is true.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's true.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_02]: About 25 minutes into it, our camera falls off.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have a beard.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_02]: Me either.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_02]: I like 300 pounds heavier.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_01]: Can you look way different back then?
- 31:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_02]: Can you get that hair?
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_02]: We wouldn't we couldn't do virtual episodes back then because I didn't fit in the square It's terrible All right, but no, so where did the brown's coming?
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so the brown's are at 27
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to know who was worse than the Browns who ranked after them, I already said the Rams, then it was the Jets, Cardinals, Panthers, and the Seahawks.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: We're starting to rise in Browns, yeah.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_04]: See, the Seahawks isn't surprised me.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
- 32:34[SPEAKER_02]: No, I think that was a big answer.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_02]: Man, correct me if I'm wrong.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_02]: The Panthers have like those black ones don't they?
- 32:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: They don't black, yeah.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I do.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think those are kind of clean.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the thing about the Browns.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: When we've gotten away from those terrible ones, we had our boundaries with those were awful.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: These new ones we have, like the brown is nice, you know, but it's brown.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's brown in orange.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's my, you know, I bleed brown in orange.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_02]: I love the browns, but
- 33:05[SPEAKER_02]: There's only so much you can do with Brown and Orange.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I would love for us to roll out like an alternate uniform, a blackout with orange accents and some white highlight.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, just give us a cool alternate at some point because it all brown, sometimes we're all brown, we just like, turds running around.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they're crispy looking turds, but it's still all brown.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_02]: So, there's only so much you can do.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_04]: When you play like that, too, you know, obviously get associated with that.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_04]: I always like always like the jerseys.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_04]: I always liked our jerseys.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_04]: We're an old school team, we're the team of the 50s, and with the browns, I mean, brown and orange are the colors of autumn.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_04]: You know, there's the colors of football, and that's why nobody else does that.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I like it.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I love that.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_00]: I thought you're going to start to speak in poetry too.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, another good lord.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_04]: It's a fall to bring out in a bongo, but yeah, hey, man orange is a color or patch of passion right so there you go Okay, I thought it was red, but orange is maybe looking up
- 34:13[SPEAKER_00]: So I all I'll say is I got I'm kind of with like I think you guys in this on I was just raised on it So like to me I love Brown and Orange and The crazy thing is I don't think I'd ever want us to go Like alternate is cool.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm cool with that But if they like came out in two years and they're like we're changing our colors completely I think I would have a metal breakdown Loki
- 34:36[SPEAKER_01]: This episode is sponsored by Kaoshi.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Browns Vand, you know, we've all messed around with the sports books before, right?
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: And let's be honest, you're always kind of playing into the house.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_01]: But with Kaoshi, it's different.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_01]: You're not betting against some sports book.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_01]: You're trading against other real world people.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_01]: There's no house trying to beat you Kaoshi just runs the marketplace.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_01]: So if you think the public is wrong, like everybody's overreacting to these smoke screens in the draft or sleeping on a prospect, you can literally take the other side of the market.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not just sports either, you can trade on other real-world stuff, interest rates, inflation, even wild weather outcomes.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: It works like this, simple yes or no markets, your risk is capped up front and your payout is locked in.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: So if you trust your takes and instincts, and I know you guys do, go check out Kaoshin's see what markets are live right now.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: So head over to Kaoshy.com slash dogs, k-a-l-s-h-i-i-dot-com slash dogs, d-a-w-g-s, deposit just $20 and Kaoshy's gonna match you.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna put $20 free into your account.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great deal to get started.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: So again, calshy.com slash dogs $20 match when you deposit $20 into your account.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I'm the same way as you Justin because and I see it from the outside perspective.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: You look at a team's colors orange and brown.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's really not that much fun, especially if your team is chargers.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, or you know, your best colors in the black or something.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, totally get it.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 36:02[SPEAKER_01]: You know, my wardrobe is freakin' orange and brown.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: I do all the graphic design stuff, so I'm constantly finding new ways to use the orange and highlights and stuff like that.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: So I love the color scheme, but I think that's more of being in it.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: Because from the outside, I can totally see where people would be like, oh, you don't even have a logo on your helmet.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: I heard it.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_02]: They wouldn't be wrong.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_02]: No, you can't change the color.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_02]: Our helmet is the logo.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I agree, no, I love the browns.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_02]: We're brown and orange, I bleed brown and orange, scarlet and gray, but it's like you said.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_02]: There's, especially when, I mean, there's cool colors out there like blue.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: So, dude, not blue.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, team up north, man, I don't know.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'm not that kind of blue.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: I was thinking of the chargers, the powder blues.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_02]: So no, I'm not, I'm just shocked.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let's get a little bit of an interesting thing.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: So number 10 Denver Broncos.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_04]: No thanks.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: I actually personally, I really like their new uniforms that they came out with.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know if I know what they look like.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's OK.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: They play in the late slot.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_01]: Nine is the Miami Dolphins.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_01]: Then eight.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_01]: This one's interesting.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_01]: The Washington commander, guaranteed they haven't been here.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: If they hadn't gone back to the Redskins uniforms.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_02]: Because their uniforms aren't great.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_02]: Also, somebody being tortured in the back.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_02]: Just seeing you.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: Did you?
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: My kids are my kids screaming.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you're using your mic audio.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: Heck yeah.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_01]: Oh god.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: Because they're getting roundy there.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_01]: I can hear them.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: Oh boy.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_04]: Now, I would rather, I like the, I'd rather than used to where I was, there you go.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_04]: I'll sub that out.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: Agreed.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_01]: Agreed, I really had it there for me.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: I just didn't know your mind.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: No, hell no.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: Not technology, midshow, bad call, bad call.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: See they're got quite again.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, number six is I'm using my mind for of I'm trying to just a favorite right Justin Justin Justin Justin this click on a little microphone in your in your box.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_02]: A little arrow and change your input device to your mic there.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's all good.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: Number six, we do it live guys.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: We do it.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_01]: Number six, buckiniers, which I think they got nice clean.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: They went back to their, you know, more traditional uniforms.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_01]: After they had that horrendous cutting edge look like the Browns went with.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't like the creams that go down.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_01]: Not high on that.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, really?
- 39:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's the one a lot of people love.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: I know, I'm not going to last six.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_01]: Well, five Bengals.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_04]: No, they're in a division.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_04]: I don't like anybody in our division.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_04]: So forget about it.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_04]: Screw you guys.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: Is it working?
- 39:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you sound great.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_00]: Awesome.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, thanks.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: We're only 36 minutes into the show.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't even notice it.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: I thought we could make it.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: And then they got louder and louder.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, yeah.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_00]: I am a seven-year-old and a six-year-old daughter, and it's in the middle of the summer.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_00]: Good luck.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_00]: If you kids, you get it.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_00]: It is what it is.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, love my wife.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_00]: You don't great babe.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's totally his computer audio shoot.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: Pickin' that up.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_01]: And that number.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: Can you ask father for your dog?
- 39:49[SPEAKER_01]: This one is the Baltimore Ravens.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: So you got two A's and more teams here in the top.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_01]: But the Ravens just tweaked their jerseys too.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_01]: So they're kind of different this year.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: A little bit.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't go crazy.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: Three cowboys.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's another classic number two of the 49ers.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_00]: All right, there's a lot of others.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I like those uniforms they throw out last year.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_04]: I like to kill me green Philadelphia Eagles.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_04]: I think those are slick.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, have to go look and see where they are on this list.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_01]: But number one chargers.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, easy.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: Every year.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: Every year.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, powder blue.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's, they got a nice look.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: They do.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_04]: I always thought the lions were on a little blue like I thought it was good luck Where else do you guys want to know?
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: Is my mic working correctly?
- 40:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah Thanks Oh, man All right, let's just close the show out
- 40:50[SPEAKER_02]: Man, was there?
- 40:51[SPEAKER_02]: I know there was one topic in here.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: We can kind of, uh, Kenny sent this out, and it was, uh, who do you guys see kind of being the defensive leader for this team now?
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, you know, we don't have miles anymore.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_02]: Who's going to kind of stick into that role?
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: Um, who do you guys think it's going to be?
- 41:10[SPEAKER_04]: I was going to say Carson, Swesinger, until I hear Jared verse talk.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_04]: That guy is so intense.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_04]: Like he wants to be the leader.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm not saying that Carson, Swesinger can't be the leader.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_04]: But that guy really seems to have a Stranglehold on wanting that.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I listen to his, the D-line coach there says are
- 41:30[SPEAKER_04]: And he had just glowing reviews for him like as soon as the guy's walking off the plane.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_04]: He's like, what can I do to make this team better?
- 41:38[SPEAKER_04]: What can I do to help these guys win?
- 41:40[SPEAKER_04]: That's real leadership right there.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm going to say V8, baby Jared first.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it's going to be a honestly probably a combination of those two.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, because Carson's you're going to be a green dot guy in the middle, kind of controlling everything, but as far as your raw raw, let's get everybody hyped and ready to rock and roll.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, V8 is that dude and Kenny, I know exactly what you're saying.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm just going to tweak your word where you say he's
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: wanting to be that.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's so much.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's just like wanting to be the leader.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's he just is.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's just who.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I know that's what you meant, but I just wanted to shift the terminology there.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like he just he is a leader.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: He walks in and that's just who he is.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_01]: How he is.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_01]: That's how he works.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm excited to see how that looks this year for real.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_02]: I, uh, I think out Brown's veins are really going to love Chad first.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_02]: In terms of his like, at least in terms of personality wise and mentality, he's kind of like the opposite of Miles Garrett in terms of like miles was obviously great on the field, but he wasn't super vocal, you know?
- 42:44[SPEAKER_02]: And sometimes he dropped cryptic things, Jared versus like that raw raw get your fired up.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I think Clube, I'm just going to love that guy.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_02]: And if he plays it anywhere near a high level to go alongside with his attitude and his effort and his mentality, he's, Clube and fans are going to love this guy.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, people loved Miles Garrett, obviously, but a lot of people made fun of them for like having the little dinosaur figurines at press conferences and things like that, Jared verse won't have those.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: No, he's Disney's.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think if we're not going to go a Jaredverse or Swesinger, also let me throw in veteran leadership, Denzel Ward, Hype Energy guy, you know, we always like Greg Newsom in that role where he was kind of like the juice of the defense and I'm not even sure the defense will still be like that post-Gim Swords, but I like what Denzel Ward's bringing to the locker room as far as just veteran leadership and, you know, he's going to be strumming the guitar.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_00]: A lot, a lot this year.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_00]: True.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_02]: I see a thing in here that says about Jared verse, we kind of have to lower our expectations.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: So then what are your expectations because I at least for me.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I have realistic ones I don't I don't expect Jared verse to get 22 sacks or 23 sacks or whatever It is I'm I think hopefully he'll get to double digits.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_02]: I like to see him get to like 12 If you can get to 12 sacks, but I care about those pressures and I care about the way he's gonna play the run Listen again, yeah, man, I said the edge
- 44:14[SPEAKER_02]: We loved Miles, but his last two seasons all he cared about was sex.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_02]: If they ran a, did Miles ever get chased down tackles, and again, I don't want to stand up here and disparage the guy who gave us all that this time.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_02]: But even when he was here, we talked about this.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_02]: If they ran away from Miles' Garrett, he would jog after the play.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_02]: You know, if he didn't read Run, he just rushed up the field.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_02]: They'd run right underneath him in the creasy created by rushing the pastor on a run play.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_02]: total of defense.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's not just going to be strictly past rush.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to play the run.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to get out to the pass or he's not going to give up on plays.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: So more balanced, more balanced, you know, and motor.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously what Miles is great at, he's great at and he was awesome.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: We love this time here and everything like that.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not trying to like undersell Miles value here.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_02]: But I think Jared verse can bring a lot of positive things to this defense that maybe we didn't have.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_02]: and I think that's there's more to being a really great defender than putting up a boatload of sacks.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think you can affect the game in a lot of different ways.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great point.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, and a good way to look at it.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, we're losing a whole lot with Miles Garrett, but we're also gaining a whole lot with Jaredverse, and there might not be a whole lot of overlap there, like you're talking about, where
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: Miles was the elite, you know, pass rusher.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_01]: Jared versus the more balanced edge defender.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's not going to be leading the league in sacks, at least not right now.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he can evolve into that, but he's definitely going to
- 45:43[SPEAKER_01]: bust his tail like Justin just said hi motor.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's coming after the run.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's bullrushing these tackles.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's throwing people into the quarter, but like he'll he's going to create some havoc back there.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's going to be fun to watch.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate it.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think they'll they'll fall in love with how he plays the game.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_04]: yeah it's contagious too like if you hear his teammates already like he's already in he's already got that that leadership role like they're excited to play you know and that that contagious stuff will translate on the field
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: uh... interesting note here he says uh... from saying so i wonder if multiple pressures matter more than sacks because the super full chance and see i don't have a single guy with ten plus sacks i did not know that but that is interesting obviously you want to get home and we but get it like if you're pressuring the quarterback
- 46:34[SPEAKER_02]: That means you're forcing them to get rid of the ball quicker.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: It means you're forcing them into bad decisions.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_02]: It means you're forcing them to step up into the pocket.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe somebody else gets the sack.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_02]: All that good things happen for pressureing the quarterback.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously you want to get home is, is often as possible.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: But pressure, I feel like pressure is definitely matter.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_01]: We argue about that a lot when people would dog miles for going a game or two and row without having a sack and it's like listen, if you got, you got to look at the context of those games.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's really hard to sack the quarterback because he doesn't have the ball.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: You're probably hitting the quarterback, but it's not a sack because he already threw the ball or he threw it out of bounds or if you're pressuring the guy and you're forcing them into an incomplete pass or it's just a quick check down for a one-year gain or one-year loss or something or it's an intercept whatever, pressuring matters.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_01]: It really does, just because you didn't come away with the sack doesn't mean it wasn't a great play.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, just check out the bill's game last year.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_04]: I was there.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_04]: Josh Allen was going the complete opposite way and a totally wrecked that game, which we almost won, but we didn't and but you could tell his presence in that game for sure.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'm excited to watch Jared versus you.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited for a lot of things.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_02]: Is it going to change like the wins?
- 47:49[SPEAKER_02]: Who knows?
- 47:49[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_02]: But I am excited to see how this young team performs, how bought in the yard of the new coach, how Ted Todd Munkin has him ready to go.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just ready for football to be here.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm retired of the offseason.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm ready for real life football to be here.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_02]: So I think, unless you guys have something, I think we can wrap this one up.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_01]: Happy Aussies, isn't everybody?
- 48:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, good job to the calves, standing none of it, Mitchell.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_02]: Hell yeah.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_02]: Alibran home.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's, that's, that's, that's, let's do that.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so this might, we played, we tried.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_02]: Alibran to come back.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_04]: We brought, Kauai home in Vrigan, Toronto.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_04]: Like selling this to many, nobody cares.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_04]: 70, 70 is too late.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_04]: You guys can do it with Alibran, man.
