- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Rebecca, welcome to your thoughts, your realities.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: If you will, tell us a little more about yourself before we get started.
- 1:56SPEAKER_03: Well, thank you.
- 1:57SPEAKER_03: Very honored to be on here with you today, Mike.
- 2:00SPEAKER_03: I really appreciate you having me.
- 2:02SPEAKER_03: I I've been, well, I'm a mom, a wife, a grandma, and we uh we ranch up here in northern British Columbia.
- 2:12SPEAKER_03: So have a wonderful life, hardworking, but very, very rewarding.
- 2:18SPEAKER_03: Lots of good friends and family to do life with.
- 2:21SPEAKER_03: So been very exciting.
- 2:23SPEAKER_03: And I found then I kind of accidentally got into gut health coaching, just looking for some solutions for my family.
- 2:31SPEAKER_03: And I found that I just loved learning, constantly learning about what could help others.
- 2:39SPEAKER_03: And uh got into that early on, about 11 years ago, and have just it's been so, so, so rewarding.
- 2:46SPEAKER_03: And so then I've gone from that and expanded a bit more into learning about the Vegas nerve, kind of added that into the wellness coaching that I do from home.
- 2:59SPEAKER_03: We live an hour from the nearest grocery store.
- 3:01SPEAKER_03: So I working from home has been such a blessing for me and my family.
- 3:09SPEAKER_03: And it's just opened up so many opportunities for me.
- 3:12SPEAKER_03: And I've I've really loved it.
- 3:14SPEAKER_03: So that's kind of my passion, along with all my other passions and things I like to do.
- 3:19SPEAKER_03: So absolutely love it.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Absolutely love it.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: You know, it's it's Susan and I are in the in the hills, if you will.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: You know, we do have a grocery store fairly close, which is convenient.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: So we we get it about being out in the rural areas, it's a beautiful thing.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: So absolutely love it.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: So let me let me ask you.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: I'm already throwing out the questions.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Here we go.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: You know, so first of all, you know, with the vegas nerve, right?
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: I I've I've heard a lot about it, I've done some research, and I know you laugh at me every time I say this, but I also was doing research because I have a dog that has some issues, right?
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: So when I found you, it's like, oh great.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: And then of course, you you know, you promote products and that kind of thing.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: So what is let's let's just dive into what is the vagus nerve?
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Because not everybody understands it.
- 4:04SPEAKER_03: Right, right.
- 4:05SPEAKER_03: The vagus, so it's really it's really cool because it all connects with the gut health that I have learned all these years and been able to help with.
- 4:13SPEAKER_03: And the vagus nerve runs from our brain basically to our rectum.
- 4:18SPEAKER_03: And it has, there's two, actually, two nerves, right and left, hundreds of thousands of little fibers that come off of that.
- 4:26SPEAKER_03: And that is kind of the the background processor.
- 4:29SPEAKER_03: I was listening to one doctor, and he was explaining it as the internet of the body.
- 4:33SPEAKER_03: So behind the scenes, that is connecting everything.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: So for our body to adjust to the outside world and make all of its decisions and responses and calibrations, right?
- 4:46SPEAKER_03: We've got eye, nose, ear, mouth, uh, smell.
- 4:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 4:52SPEAKER_03: And then inside, we have the vagus nerve, and that's what's doing all the connection to and from all of our organs to our brain.
- 5:02unknown: Wow.
- 5:03SPEAKER_03: And so when that is not properly functioning, when it's got low functioning, uh low vagal tone, they call it, we are just really out of sync.
- 5:13SPEAKER_03: And that's what moves our body from the fight or flight, which we need to be in.
- 5:18SPEAKER_03: There's times we need we need that, but what they're noticing is so many people are sitting in that fight or flight almost 24 hours, even when their body is flat.
- 5:30SPEAKER_03: So doctors have been looking for decades on solutions for that.
- 5:35SPEAKER_03: We've got they've got little implant devices now, they're using, you know, but all those things, you know, can be invasive.
- 5:42SPEAKER_03: You've got all the, you've got lots of different physical things you can do.
- 5:46SPEAKER_03: You're hot and cold plunges and all of that stuff.
- 5:49SPEAKER_03: Everything is is because they're realizing the software is often what's out of whack.
- 5:54SPEAKER_03: Not that our heart isn't pumping right or our lungs aren't working.
- 5:58SPEAKER_03: No, it's the signaling, it's the software behind the scenes.
- 6:02SPEAKER_03: And you know, you go to get colonoscopy and everything's fine.
- 6:05SPEAKER_03: So why am I having all these issues?
- 6:07SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 6:08SPEAKER_03: All vag most of the time, once you rule out hardware, then it it is oftentimes a process or software issue.
- 6:16SPEAKER_03: So it's it's been so fascinating, really fascinating.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: It it's it is absolutely fascinating.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: And the crazy thing is, I mean, maybe you know this or maybe not.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm gonna ask you just the crazy question.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: When did they first figure out about the Vegas nerve?
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: I mean, when when did they say, hey, this is something and now we need to do research on it?
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, has it been around for a hundred years or they've they're actually that's a good question.
- 6:42SPEAKER_03: I'm not quite sure.
- 6:43SPEAKER_03: I know a few hundred years or a couple hundred years ago, maybe they wrote about the wandering nerve in the body.
- 6:50SPEAKER_03: So they have about it, but uh they are just learning more about the how much it actually affects every every function, 1100 functions in our body are affected by those vagus nerve fibers.
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: So it's it's great, it's crazy.
- 7:11SPEAKER_03: So no wonder you're just what is wrong with me?
- 7:14SPEAKER_03: My body is is hating me.
- 7:17SPEAKER_03: What is wrong?
- 7:18SPEAKER_03: And nothing's nothing's wrong.
- 7:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, all our tests that are designed for hardware are not picking up the software issues, right?
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: Absolutely get it.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: So so why do you think that you know healing can become part of someone's new mission, you know, after stress, trauma, or major life transition?
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: And whether that be a veteran or a top performer or just any of them going through a transition, you know, if not not in the right mindset, it's gonna cause these fight and flight responses, right?
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: So you know what whatever brings it on, and there's so many things in the world today that are just set to do that to us.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and won't even get into all of it because we don't have enough time, my friend.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: So why do you think that that healing can become someone's new mission?
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: And I mean it let me go separate at a different route.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: What are the first signs that somebody say it should say, oh shit, something's not right.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: I checked everything else, and then and then moving into you know the the healing.
- 8:19unknown: Right.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: You gotta you gotta you gotta get out of you know the the stress response for a second or just have that realization of something's still not right.
- 8:28SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 8:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think it's very important.
- 8:30SPEAKER_03: People's first mission, I I think is to stay alive in whatever situation they were dealt, right?
- 8:35SPEAKER_03: So if that's the battlefield right, your mission is to stay alive and get out of there, whatever obstacle is placed in you that in front of you that day or your or was dealt you in life.
- 8:46SPEAKER_03: Okay, let's survive this.
- 8:48SPEAKER_03: Now, like you were saying, the next mission is how can we get our body now to calm down so that we can start to heal from the trauma and all that?
- 9:00SPEAKER_03: And it's really important.
- 9:02SPEAKER_03: I think what people first start noticing is for no reason they're just their sleep starts getting very interrupted.
- 9:11SPEAKER_03: The anxiety just starts spiraling, and that's a huge, huge thing I notice.
- 9:17SPEAKER_03: They're everything's going fine now, and they're fighting depression and they've done all the right things, and but and then they a lot of times then it moves into connection with people, they're not really able to do that the same way, and they're like, What's wrong with me?
- 9:34SPEAKER_03: I'm just you know, not not feeling my greatest, and nothing's technically wrong, or a big one too is um heart issues that are not muscle related to your heart.
- 9:47SPEAKER_03: It's just out of the blue.
- 9:48SPEAKER_03: I'm getting arrhythmia, I'm getting pots, I'm doing all of these things.
- 9:52SPEAKER_03: Those are actually nervous system issues.
- 9:55SPEAKER_03: And that's so that's what I really love.
- 9:58SPEAKER_03: So to me, when somebody can move into the healing, it just you're gonna go from just surviving life.
- 10:06SPEAKER_03: We can all just survive life.
- 10:08SPEAKER_03: You can survive life for 60 or 70 or 80 years, but what why can't we thrive?
- 10:15SPEAKER_03: And why can't we thrive so that we can be a blessing to others?
- 10:18SPEAKER_03: Because that's our whole mission.
- 10:20SPEAKER_03: If our mission was self-centered, we would we wouldn't last very long.
- 10:24SPEAKER_03: So um, I don't know it.
- 10:28SPEAKER_03: What was your question?
- 10:30SPEAKER_03: Did I did I answer that right?
- 10:32SPEAKER_03: Um absolutely fine.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: Did I so basically it's you know, how does somebody know that you know they're they're in that place of I I need something else, and maybe this is it.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: So optimally oh sorry, yeah, I just feel like they've tried every other measure and there's still something wrong.
- 10:53SPEAKER_03: I would check out kind of the vagus nerve aspect of things, especially if it's mental health related, PTSD, anxiety, stuff like that.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, absolutely.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: And so let me let me ask you this.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: You know, how does chronic stress or I mean you can go with PTSD affect the nervous system in ways people probably just don't realize it?
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Because a lot of people, I'm just gonna use PTSD because I deal with it a lot, is they they they don't know there's a problem until they know, right?
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: And they can they can go years without it.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: So how does that kind of those kind of things affect the nervous system in ways people again may not realize so they can recognize it faster.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 11:35SPEAKER_03: So because our nervous system is keeping us the vagus nerve is what helps our nervous system get out of the sympathetic nervous system aspect into the parasympathetic nerve.
- 11:46SPEAKER_03: What happens is that is what affects rest and digest.
- 11:51SPEAKER_03: So when people are constantly living with the with the anxiety, with the PTSD, even struggling in their sleep, their body is never never coming down off of that fight or flight, the cortisol, the all of that, so that it can start to digest and heal.
- 12:11SPEAKER_03: And that that is that that's the importance of that's where I think people will really notice the difference when they activate their vagus nerve.
- 12:20SPEAKER_03: All of that, what you need to make it through the day, the grind, that is able to come to a rest at the proper time.
- 12:29SPEAKER_03: And that's kind of like the one the one guy was listening to, he says like the conductor of an orchestra.
- 12:35SPEAKER_03: So when that conductor's not working properly, you've got your daytime sympathetic nervous system that really needs to be intact.
- 12:42SPEAKER_03: You're you're hustling, you're getting stuff done, you don't need to always be spiked, right?
- 12:48SPEAKER_03: If the bear's chasing you've got a spike, what happens when you come out of that stress situation and your body doesn't come down off that spike?
- 12:56SPEAKER_03: That's what we're really, really is crucial because when your body sits in that sympathetic nervous system part over more than 12 hours, 14 hours a day, so they can they can actually kind of graph it with this heart monitor because because the vagus nerve affects your breathing and your heart rate.
- 13:17SPEAKER_03: So they can kind of they can kind of see a little bit how your vagus nerve is responding.
- 13:22SPEAKER_03: When it sits in the sympathetic nervous system, what they're learning, and they're really excited because they're finding it totally affects inflammation.
- 13:32SPEAKER_03: So now inflammation, it affects that that whole cytokine just wave, just that disaster, that storm that is in our body with the inflammation.
- 13:44SPEAKER_03: So they're using even they're they're working on stimulators for the vagus nerve that will even affect all of your inflammatory diseases.
- 13:54SPEAKER_03: Two-thirds of people's death, two-thirds of deaths they're saying are from inflammation-related diseases.
- 14:01SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 14:01SPEAKER_03: I mean, that's what 40 million or something.
- 14:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, just a couple, just a couple.
- 14:06SPEAKER_03: Crazy.
- 14:07SPEAKER_03: So they're even you even using devices, and then that gets into a tricky arena.
- 14:12SPEAKER_03: But for what they're learning, and they're so excited, the people that are really have been studying the vagus nerve for for decades, you know, 40, 50 years, they are so excited because they're finding they can turn around even like arthritis and stuff by activating the vagus nerve.
- 14:28SPEAKER_03: So so I like to, yeah.
- 14:30SPEAKER_03: So that's been I'm just really exciting.
- 14:32SPEAKER_03: To me, it's a piece of the puzzle that's missing.
- 14:35SPEAKER_03: I love the whole gut health thing, everything, but this is so affecting the gut health that it just these two things together.
- 14:44SPEAKER_03: When you can work on, I'm I'm passionate about that.
- 14:46SPEAKER_03: Can eat a fungus overgrowth in the gut, I'm passionate about parasites, and then when you can add in the vagus nerve activation, and it's just I've just found it to be a real game changer in so many arenas that I felt, you know, I was kind of plateauing out in with helping people.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: So absolutely.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: It's it's a it's an amazing new science.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: I can say new.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: It's it's new to me.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: It's not saying new, but it's absolutely amazing.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: And again, I've been doing some research on it, and it's like you just came into our lives at the right time, that's for sure.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: So you do you were talking about you know gut health, and I know that's it's it's all connected, right?
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: Your heart, your brain, your your gut.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: So, you what is the kind of if you can kind of go through the connection between the gut health, nervous system health, and of course mental wealth?
- 15:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 15:39SPEAKER_03: There's uh there's one doctor that's working extensively with the vagus nerve and your irritable bowel diseases, all of those things because he's realized, like what I said earlier, the the metrics that we have for measuring what's going on, somebody comes in and they're just constantly in turmoil, constantly bloating all so then they do the scope and they do all these, and nothing's wrong.
- 16:02SPEAKER_03: Like something is so wrong.
- 16:05SPEAKER_03: So, yeah, and that's where I love the connection because even this whole peristalsis, this gastroparesis that seems to be a little more common now, and all that, all of that is connected to our nervous system, not the not a hardware problem.
- 16:24SPEAKER_03: So it's been really fascinating watching those kinds of things turn around.
- 16:29SPEAKER_03: And because those fingers of the vagus nerve, they come down out of the brain stem, and then they're they they come down and they touch.
- 16:40SPEAKER_03: If you see a diagram of the vagus nerve, it touches every organ, loops down around, comes back up and touches it.
- 16:47SPEAKER_03: So all of the feed of how the organ is working is going from the to the from the vagus nerve.
- 16:55SPEAKER_03: So that's sending the response back to the brain.
- 16:58SPEAKER_03: The brain is saying, oops, we've got a problem here.
- 17:01SPEAKER_03: Let's let's work on sending help there.
- 17:04SPEAKER_03: And when that when those signals are messing up, that's where people are running into so many problems.
- 17:10SPEAKER_03: I just love so it's the it's the communication pathway between your organs.
- 17:16SPEAKER_03: And that's what's so crucial.
- 17:18SPEAKER_03: Like I said before, the missing for me, the missing, one of the missing pieces.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: There's lots of tools, of course, but that just talk about some tools as well, right?
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: So but before we do, so I may have just had an aha moment.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: So does the Vegas never go through your spinal column?
- 17:35SPEAKER_03: It does it comes down.
- 17:37SPEAKER_03: Uh it doesn't it let me see, where's my shoot?
- 17:41SPEAKER_03: I should have.
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: I wasn't we weren't prepared for my curiosity.
- 17:51SPEAKER_01: Because I should have already looked at this.
- 17:53SPEAKER_03: Because it comes, it comes down through the cord here, and then it branches off in touch.
- 17:59SPEAKER_03: I don't know if you can see kind of.
- 18:01SPEAKER_03: You I don't I'm not sure you'll be able to see.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, my screen's really small for the pop up.
- 18:08SPEAKER_03: Anyways, yeah, look at it.
- 18:10SPEAKER_03: You can look it up.
- 18:10SPEAKER_03: It's really, really fascinating.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: So does it go through the spinal column and then branches out?
- 18:14SPEAKER_03: Branches out, not through the spinal column.
- 18:17SPEAKER_03: Okay, it comes down at the top of the at the top of the neck, yeah, and then branches out.
- 18:24SPEAKER_03: Got it.
- 18:26SPEAKER_03: Coming coming down more into your lungs.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: Um my chiropractor always says, you know, this is affecting this, and this is affecting that.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: And I was like, maybe he knew something I he wasn't sharing.
- 18:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and then there's like receptors like in your ear here, and there's it's just really, really fascinating what they're what they're learning.
- 18:50SPEAKER_03: They put the little stimulators on the left side, like below your neck.
- 18:56SPEAKER_03: I mean, that takes like major neurosurgery, but they're they're they're working on a lot of things, even just because they're finding when you can activate that vagus nerve, it's like a total game changer in your body.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: Where the world is gonna be in five years.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Um, so so let's talk about things that you can do to help, right?
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: Some practices that can help someone just creating more peace, safety, you know, really control in their body, right?
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: So, so give us some ideas of some things that you do.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, if you know, yourself, if you will.
- 19:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I do, I work, I've I found like you had mentioned, I do, I do work with a product line that also helps that, and I've just absolutely loved, but there's so many little things you can do.
- 19:43SPEAKER_03: You know, singing is really a big one, humming.
- 19:46SPEAKER_03: And then, and so we know, we've always known that when you do that, it kind of lifts your lifts the atmosphere in your body, what it's doing.
- 19:58SPEAKER_03: And and now we there's actually science behind why it works.
- 20:03SPEAKER_03: And so that's really exciting.
- 20:04SPEAKER_03: Like I'd mentioned before, hot and cold plunges, and a lot of those things are because of the effect of the vagus nerve on inflammation.
- 20:14SPEAKER_03: And it's just the the when you can do that hot and cold plunge, those kinds of things last, they don't last that many hours though.
- 20:22SPEAKER_03: So that's why it's really exciting to find other things that help along the way throughout the day.
- 20:28SPEAKER_03: Um, but they're saying how many, there's there's the different tapping things.
- 20:33SPEAKER_03: There's of course you can get those those kind of tins machines.
- 20:39SPEAKER_03: There's different machines you can get that aren't very expensive.
- 20:42SPEAKER_03: And so you just have to take the time to do it, right?
- 20:46SPEAKER_03: But of course, what we've known for on so many levels is important is walking.
- 20:53SPEAKER_03: If you can touch the grass, absolutely, absolutely.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: I tell people all the time get out into nature, go for a walk, ground yourself, absolutely, move your body.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: Singing is singing is always good.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: Put on a good song, shake your ass.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's it's it's a beautiful thing when when really yeah, stamp yourself out of things with very little effort when you just want to and you take the action, right?
- 21:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 21:21SPEAKER_03: So all of those things we've known, and of course, when you promote a healthy lifestyle, you're promoting that.
- 21:26SPEAKER_03: That's why.
- 21:27SPEAKER_03: It's because when you're taking a moment to uh meditate or or just lay flat and just clear your mind, let everything just kind of calm down.
- 21:36SPEAKER_03: They'll teach kids that that struggle, you know, kind of when you can take your two fingers and rub, rub by your ears.
- 21:43SPEAKER_03: They've known that helps a lot a long time, didn't realize that's because it's activating the vagus nerve.
- 21:48SPEAKER_03: There's some sensors there.
- 21:50SPEAKER_03: So it's just really, and then the you know, kind of the deep breathing, which they'll have you do before, you know, speaking and all.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: those things you're just kind of you're activating your vagus nerve with with the breath work and so yeah yeah so there's a lot there's a lot of there's a lot of things out there but now know about them my friends that are listening and watching later on or now here you go I mean there's there's all these things so I'd like to talk a little bit about the the product that you have you know you you promote or have out i my wife and I are using it we've seen a difference it's been you know fantastic my dog is about to get it and and by the way everybody I always get to say with any kind of products or anything do your research i'm not we're not here to sell you something but we're here to bring you possible answers right and and help get you further faster so can you talk a little bit about the product itself yes yeah I can I like to have something simple because a lot of times when somebody is so low or they're they're feeling so poorly it's hard to just tell them you know what I want you to get to the gym and I want you to and I want you to eat salad for lunch and I want you to get to the gym and I want you to start tomorrow eight glasses of water.
- 23:09SPEAKER_03: You've lost them you've lost them they're so low that they're just trying to make it through the day so they can get to their couch.
- 23:18SPEAKER_03: And so to me that's kind of who I work with.
- 23:20SPEAKER_03: Now once somebody's feeling better then I'll send them to you or other coaches that I'm like okay go work with them for your mindset and all the all the different ones that you've that you platform is awesome.
- 23:34SPEAKER_03: So I'm like I will send them there.
- 23:36SPEAKER_03: Okay I'll take you at this low point and say let's try something so they've there's been the science they've been looking uh at the science of the there's a hops mature hops extract and it's the bitters out of that and they've known about it for probably a hundred years close to a hundred years they've known but they could never extract it till they had the technology a few years ago.
- 24:00SPEAKER_03: So I work with a uh product line that has patented that and there's doctors coming out of the woodworks because they're like we've been waiting for an actual product for 40 years because you can do all the things like I said before which are super important.
- 24:19SPEAKER_03: But to have something so simple especially when you're working with children when you're working with elderly to just have just have something so so simple has been such a blessing and something I've loved adding to to my repertoire there of of uh wellness coaching.
- 24:36SPEAKER_03: So there's just so many tools in the toolbox and they're all so important.
- 24:41SPEAKER_03: And so I just kind of stay in my lane.
- 24:45SPEAKER_03: My few gut health ones I love and now I can activate the vagus nerve lasts up to about nine hours and the the life changing results are so exciting.
- 24:55SPEAKER_03: I've never seen like you can deal with mental health by changing the gut and change you know doing all the work which has been really good and super exciting over the 10 11 years I've had lots of really good testimonies but I've never seen anything work this fast for mental health.
- 25:13SPEAKER_03: So we've got people in tears like probably daily moms with kids that are just their whole life has changed.
- 25:21SPEAKER_03: So that's that created just even more of a passion for me because that's such a big big issue right now.
- 25:27SPEAKER_03: And you think even along the lines of veterans how many how many take their lives every day and it's just absolutely heartbreaking and there's lots of good things coming out now of other of other methods for helping and and other exciting you know shrooms and all the different things that they're they're working on.
- 25:46SPEAKER_03: So there will be lots of options but to have one that is so simple and I've just really enjoyed it.
- 25:52SPEAKER_03: It's been it's been such a a fun thing for me to help others fantastic.
- 25:58SPEAKER_03: So so it is funny because we do now that science is where it is we are seeing so much new stuff come out that helps in different aspects you know that people were the the stigma around them you know was damaging if you will you know because of the abuse obviously so so you know you you brought me on to something else and we're just about out of time but I did want to ask this so uh what I want to talk about hope okay because we're all about talking about the dark cracking a light and then bringing in the light right and the hope of and I just gotta chill so what role does hope play when someone does feel like their stress anxiety or trauma response has become part of who they are in other words part of their identity and that's a big I used to I used to call myself hope dealer because I felt like I had something so simple even in the gut health arena in the Vega in the and then more recently in the last year and a half or so in the Vegas nerve arena I feel like when somebody really wants to change there are options and I've also worked with people that I think they've taken on the identity of being sick and that breaks my heart I'm like you don't have to be because it's it's no way to live like I said earlier you can thrive or you can survive and and our mission in in life should be to uh be a blessing to those around us when you've been blessed you should be a blessing and so when you're not able to fulfill that the thing down in our nature that wants to love and be loved and it's affecting your relationships it's affecting getting you you getting out of your house it's a because when your body is so low and so depleted that it's hard to know where to start that's where I love to come along and say you know what try something simple.
- 27:56SPEAKER_03: Keep it simple we're not adding in a hundred things try one thing at a time and let's see if some of my ideas will help you get out of that funk and just that kind of identity of I'm just forever going to be sick.
- 28:11SPEAKER_03: Especially with autoimmune diseases it just seems never ending and then the next month it's something else and then you're allergic to the next food and then now your diet's even more restricted and then and it's just it is just everything is such a vicious cycle.
- 28:26SPEAKER_03: And so I loved that's where I come in and I'm like okay let's break the vicious cycle see if we can get your body out of that mode.
- 28:35SPEAKER_03: Now you can think clearly so I just had somebody text me and said oh my goodness I'm craving water.
- 28:42SPEAKER_03: I always craved soda and now and I like to take it from that sheer willpower because some people don't have that like just got to fight every day and I'm gonna resist that cake and I'm gonna resist that donut when I walk by that shop and I'm gonna resist that you know delicious sugary coffee.
- 28:59SPEAKER_03: And when you can come alongside and say I've got something simple to try it'll change your appetite it'll change your cravings it'll change all that I I feel like people are like oh okay I don't I don't sheer willpower myself all day long and then naturally things start to change your body your sleep improves when your sleep improves your whole life changes amen amen yeah thank you thank you for sharing that so uh Rebecca for people who are listening who feel you know connected to your message what's the best way for them to learn more about your work follow you hope you support you know support what you're building sure thank you so much and thank you for having me on here it's been such an honor they can go to my website I'm still working on it it's a little a little amateur right now but we're I've got a uh guy working on it so it'll it'll look better soon it's rebecamccoord.com but on there at least you can click the link you can email me at info at rebecka mcord.com and then I think uh Susan took down some other contact points there that she's gonna put under the the podcast so I would I just love to just chat see where you're at see what your goals are see if it's something I can even help you with because it might not be a good fit so I'm just happy to to help you and then coach you through your journey as you're as you're trying things out and just sending stories of hope that would encourage you that you're not alone you're not crazy your body is is just yeah it's it's yeah it's not trying to kill you.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: I love I love that because I mean I'm gonna just this may not be popular for me to say but I'm gonna say it anyway because I'm mean doctors sometimes don't know and they're they try all these different things and a lot of times they'll say nothing's wrong.
