- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a podcast called twenty five whist and they
- 0:09Speaker 1: wear whistle So yeah, it's bad, but what did you expect.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles presented by Draft
- 0:20Speaker 1: Kings sports Book, an official sports betting partner of the NBA.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Download the Draft King zapp used to Cobobbi sports get
- 0:25Speaker 1: in on the action. We got a lot of Annie A.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Garzon who what's cool about her is I'm literally just
- 0:32Speaker 1: saw her on TikTok a long time ago. I thought
- 0:35Speaker 1: she was super funny watch all of her videos. I
- 0:37Speaker 1: I gotta be honest, I never really thought about getting
- 0:39Speaker 1: her as a guest, but I really enjoy like her
- 0:41Speaker 1: content where she she's, uh, the girl who like puts
- 0:45Speaker 1: on different jerseys and acts like different people, like athletes
- 0:48Speaker 1: or all these teams in a meeting and she kind
- 0:49Speaker 1: of makes fun of people. It's funny. It really funny.
- 0:51Speaker 1: It's hlorious. Yeah, and she's actually really knowledgeable about sports,
- 0:54Speaker 1: so she's gonna be on with us. I always kind
- 0:56Speaker 1: of geek out because most folks that come on, I'm
- 1:00Speaker 1: just like, oh, this is cool, we'll talk to them.
- 1:01Speaker 1: They're an expert in this area. I don't know but
- 1:03Speaker 1: for some reason, because I already like liked her stuff,
- 1:05Speaker 1: thought it was funny, Like it's cooler to me that
- 1:07Speaker 1: she's on than like somebody that's just an expert on
- 1:10Speaker 1: college basketball. I don't know why. Maybe it's because I
- 1:12Speaker 1: personally just like to watch our stuff and it's hilarious.
- 1:14Speaker 1: But she'll be on a little bit. Pretty excited about that.
- 1:17Speaker 1: But let's get started, like we always do on the
- 1:19Speaker 1: late week shows with the tittle tattle. But before we
- 1:29Speaker 1: start the tittle tattle, we're gonna blow the whistle. The
- 1:31Speaker 1: show hasn't even started. It's true. It's true. All right
- 1:34Speaker 1: shows going. Question number one, Kevin, all Right, with reports
- 1:37Speaker 1: coming out that Luca may want to trade this offseason,
- 1:39Speaker 1: do you think resigning Kyrie could change that? The Kyrie
- 1:43Speaker 1: thing went down is a huge disaster for this season? Right?
- 1:46Speaker 1: We can we agree on that absolutely. I don't know
- 1:49Speaker 1: if they even like each other. I don't know if
- 1:51Speaker 1: they want to play with each other. I know it
- 1:52Speaker 1: did not go well. It was not a good experiment.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I'm still if I'm playing for the Mavericks, if I'm
- 1:59Speaker 1: Luca and this situation, I still liked it. They tried
- 2:02Speaker 1: something otherwise what were they going to do going as
- 2:05Speaker 1: a seven, a six, maybe a five win up, maybe
- 2:09Speaker 1: a first round game. They weren't going very far. They
- 2:12Speaker 1: had a ceiling at least. A Kyrie trade makes you
- 2:17Speaker 1: feel like they're trying, they're spending money, They're throwing crap
- 2:20Speaker 1: up against the wall. Sometimes it sticks. I just don't
- 2:23Speaker 1: think these two playing together is the answer. There's only
- 2:25Speaker 1: one ball, and these guys mostly thrive with the ball
- 2:28Speaker 1: in their hands, both of them. Lucas signed a five
- 2:32Speaker 1: year extension for over two hundred million bucks two years ago.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Kyrie now he's only here for this year. I guess
- 2:40Speaker 1: he's not here anymore, here in Dallas because it's over.
- 2:45Speaker 1: And what I was hearing was they were offering him
- 2:48Speaker 1: a two year deal already, but he wanted at least four.
- 2:53Speaker 1: But again that's just hearsay. But I would never want
- 2:56Speaker 1: Kyrie Irving. He's never been anywhere long enough to make
- 3:00Speaker 1: me feel like I would have any confidence in consistency
- 3:04Speaker 1: of the guy or the player, because look, I mean
- 3:08Speaker 1: it was a duke a year. Okay, that's fine, he's right, jump,
- 3:11Speaker 1: go play pro ball, good gets drafted, goes to Cleveland, right, yep,
- 3:16Speaker 1: Cleveland not very long him a Lebron fight. Okay, cool,
- 3:20Speaker 1: but you're thinking maybe that's a Lebron thing. Maybe Lebron
- 3:22Speaker 1: doesn't like having new, young, hot Kyrie Irvin, Kyrie wants
- 3:28Speaker 1: the ball. Lebron cries, he don't get the turns out
- 3:31Speaker 1: it wasn't really a Lebron thing. So then Kyrie goes
- 3:35Speaker 1: and we can track him all the way through. But
- 3:36Speaker 1: just just look at Boston. They hate him now you
- 3:40Speaker 1: you hate him? Yes? After that experience there, Yeah, I'm
- 3:43Speaker 1: so glad he's gone. They hate him. He hasn't left anywhere.
- 3:49Speaker 1: He leaves skid marks in the underwear of teams that
- 3:51Speaker 1: he's one because people like, well it seems like a
- 3:56Speaker 1: good idea. Oh no, look what just he's so good again?
- 4:02Speaker 1: But he's so good. He is so good. He doesn't
- 4:04Speaker 1: really make teams better and he makes it all about him.
- 4:08Speaker 1: So do I think they should play together? Nope? I don't.
- 4:12Speaker 1: If I'm Luca, I don't want to play with Kyrie.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I don't feel like Luca liked playing with Kyrie that much.
- 4:18Speaker 1: But I don't know. The inner working is what's happened
- 4:19Speaker 1: in there. You know, Kyrie's eligible to sign for up
- 4:23Speaker 1: to two hundred and seven two million dollars with the Mavericks.
- 4:26Speaker 1: If it's a five year deal, I just am not
- 4:28Speaker 1: paying him that kind of money now. I don't even
- 4:30Speaker 1: want it for five years. If they sign him for two,
- 4:32Speaker 1: I would get it. But if I'm Kyrie, I'm not
- 4:33Speaker 1: signing anywhere for two because you get hurt badly, you
- 4:36Speaker 1: get your guaranteed money. It's two years. You want to
- 4:40Speaker 1: have that insurance policy. NBA's that's some money you're going
- 4:42Speaker 1: to get, regardless. It's not like the NFL where they'll
- 4:44Speaker 1: frontload of a deal or you're signing your bonus is
- 4:47Speaker 1: heavy and you get a bunch up front. But if
- 4:50Speaker 1: they don't want you you're three and four, they don't
- 4:54Speaker 1: have to have you. They'll just cut you and save
- 4:55Speaker 1: themselves some money. They were nine and sixteen after trade
- 5:00Speaker 1: for Kyrie. If they were nine and sixteen even if
- 5:04Speaker 1: they hadn't traded for Kyrie, we would still go that
- 5:06Speaker 1: was a disaster, Like, Wow, the Mavericks really sucked the
- 5:09Speaker 1: last twenty five games, but they traded for Kyrie and
- 5:12Speaker 1: still went nine and sixteen. Is bad. Luca was in
- 5:16Speaker 1: a press conference, so I'm say he's not going to
- 5:18Speaker 1: go anywhere. He he loves it there. But I would
- 5:20Speaker 1: say that too, especially right now. What do you think
- 5:24Speaker 1: I think I wouldn't want to resign him if I
- 5:27Speaker 1: were Luca, or if I were a fan of the Mavericks,
- 5:29Speaker 1: just because, like you were saying, the track record of
- 5:32Speaker 1: him is not good. But they got to do something
- 5:33Speaker 1: for Luca. I don't know what it is though, exactly,
- 5:36Speaker 1: because lucas so bald, dominant, and they need to find
- 5:38Speaker 1: some players around him. They had some good ones with
- 5:40Speaker 1: din Witty, but obviously the Mets now Brunson. Yeah, probably
- 5:45Speaker 1: fifth in the MVP race if I were picking this year. Yeah,
- 5:48Speaker 1: they went from the Western Conference finals to not even
- 5:50Speaker 1: being in the playoffs. They didn't even understand what they
- 5:52Speaker 1: had at Brunson. They could have got him for five years,
- 5:55Speaker 1: ten million a year basically. Yeah, so they need to
- 5:57Speaker 1: find another Brunson, but bruns and it wasn't even a Brunson. Yeah,
- 6:01Speaker 1: they didn't even know what Brunson was when they had him.
- 6:03Speaker 1: He would occasionally, like Luca, take a break and he
- 6:05Speaker 1: would take the ball, but he was doing it a
- 6:07Speaker 1: fifth of the game and he can distribute. Yeah, I
- 6:10Speaker 1: don't know, because I don't Lucas too. He always looks
- 6:14Speaker 1: like physically he looks like he doesn't care that much,
- 6:19Speaker 1: not in his face or his actions. But I just
- 6:21Speaker 1: feel like if I had that skill, I'd be a
- 6:23Speaker 1: little more ripped up. Like they're always talking about his
- 6:25Speaker 1: nutrition is not good. Yes, he's very young. I just
- 6:28Speaker 1: feel like if it were me, I would just work
- 6:30Speaker 1: harder at being in shape, at my fitness being perfect
- 6:38Speaker 1: for you know, basically a hundred games. Do you like
- 6:41Speaker 1: the comparisons of him to James Harden, Like he doesn't
- 6:44Speaker 1: take it that serious, but he's so good. M that's good.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I never thought about I never heard that comparison. Yeah,
- 6:51Speaker 1: I heard that the other day. I don't like that.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Let me think about that. Let me think about that.
- 6:54Speaker 1: I think I think Harden's a better shooter. I think
- 6:59Speaker 1: Luca's better all around. But they're both great at all this.
- 7:02Speaker 1: They're both great, So I'm just if I think Harden's
- 7:04Speaker 1: a better shooter. But I would rather have Luca with
- 7:07Speaker 1: the ball just going hey, you have to score, than
- 7:10Speaker 1: I would Harden. I don't mind the comparison because Harden
- 7:15Speaker 1: would always show up fat and somehow six hours later,
- 7:17Speaker 1: he was skinny. It's like he walked into one of
- 7:19Speaker 1: those bod pods. He's like, all right, I'm reporting I
- 7:22Speaker 1: just got traded, all right, getting the bodpod. You're Dame
- 7:25Speaker 1: James with forty pounds overweight. Hold on, hold on, And
- 7:27Speaker 1: it comes out he's skinny again, and we're like, wait what.
- 7:30Speaker 1: And then you're like, did his beard make him look fat? Right?
- 7:33Speaker 1: Because yeah, he would just not be in shape certain places. Yeah.
- 7:36Speaker 1: So you know, I do understand that comparison because you're like,
- 7:40Speaker 1: do they really want it? But they're also so good
- 7:43Speaker 1: and you feel like if they just, I don't know,
- 7:47Speaker 1: put in twenty eight percent more twenty eight that they
- 7:51Speaker 1: could be freaking They're already Hall of Fame, they're both
- 7:54Speaker 1: getting the Hall of Fame. Yeah, but they could be
- 7:55Speaker 1: like one of the greatest of all time. Neither one
- 7:58Speaker 1: of him I've ever been the best player in the
- 7:59Speaker 1: league while they're in the league. They've always been. I
- 8:01Speaker 1: think they're both have been Top five. Yeah, but you're
- 8:04Speaker 1: not gonna say you take Luca over Yannis probably not
- 8:08Speaker 1: even embed Tatum has now has now I'm not gonna
- 8:12Speaker 1: say a clups that's the Tatums that with Luca in
- 8:15Speaker 1: that same category, maybe still take Luca. Look, but Tatums,
- 8:18Speaker 1: they're in striking distance from him. That's a good comparison.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I like it. I never thought about him. Yeah, but
- 8:22Speaker 1: I don't want them to if i'm them, I don't
- 8:24Speaker 1: want to play together. No, I don't want to play together.
- 8:26Speaker 1: All right? Next, All right, going to your Lakers surviving
- 8:28Speaker 1: ot the other night against Timberwolves. Are you still as
- 8:30Speaker 1: confident and they're ceiling? Yeah, I don't care what happens.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Just when just advance, that's it. Advance survive, that is thriving.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Just surviving is thriving. That's it. Absolutely. I think that.
- 8:44Speaker 1: I think that the refs also love the Lakers because
- 8:46Speaker 1: the league loves the Lakers, and the league needs the
- 8:48Speaker 1: Lakers to exist because a Lebron be Los Angeles. It's
- 8:52Speaker 1: a massive market for media for television, mostly Lebron. But
- 8:56Speaker 1: I think, and you look at the disparity between the
- 8:59Speaker 1: free throw the foul shots that's Lakers had versus everybody
- 9:01Speaker 1: else was like so different this year, like hundreds different.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I think it's like two hundred crazy. So if you
- 9:09Speaker 1: don't think the league loves Lakers, You're probably a little insane.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I just still feel like they can they can win it.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I don't think they will. I'm gonna say it again.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I don't think they will be wanted at all. I
- 9:21Speaker 1: think the Suns come out of the West, but I
- 9:23Speaker 1: do think the Lakers can do it. I think they
- 9:26Speaker 1: can get to the Western Conference finals. I need to
- 9:28Speaker 1: look at the bracket again, but I think the Lakers
- 9:30Speaker 1: can do it. I think the Suns will do it,
- 9:32Speaker 1: but I would say the Lakers right right behind them.
- 9:35Speaker 1: So you still like them against Memphis? Oh yeah, I
- 9:38Speaker 1: love them against Memphis. Let's go. And I made money
- 9:42Speaker 1: because they made the playoffs. That's true. That is true.
- 9:44Speaker 1: So I just hit my bet and they were not
- 9:45Speaker 1: doing well whenever I made the bet. So I just
- 9:48Speaker 1: need to make the playoffs, all right? Next up, which
- 9:50Speaker 1: four or five matchup are you looking forward to? The most?
- 9:52Speaker 1: One in the East or the West? The West matchup
- 9:55Speaker 1: is Souns and Clippers, right, yes, So what I like
- 9:57Speaker 1: about that is I just want to see k play.
- 10:00Speaker 1: He is top ten of all time right there around
- 10:05Speaker 1: that ten. I'd be an interesting thing for me just
- 10:06Speaker 1: to figure out who. Off the top of my head,
- 10:08Speaker 1: let me try to run it real quick all time, Lebron, Jordan, Kareem.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna miss out on some of the guys like
- 10:17Speaker 1: Wilt Chamberlain because I don't I have no knowledge, and
- 10:21Speaker 1: I didn't have a dad that was like Wilt Chamberlain's.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I mean, I don't have a dad really, so I didn't.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I don't have that influence. But I can see that
- 10:27Speaker 1: doctor j Wilt Chamberlain. So I'm gonna put them a
- 10:29Speaker 1: little later than most people would. So I'm gonna go
- 10:31Speaker 1: one Lebron to Jordan, three, who does heay for? Three?
- 10:37Speaker 1: Kareem four, Magic five, Bird six, Wilt seven, What the crap?
- 10:54Speaker 1: Durant I'm tired of though, seeing like Shaq Coquin. I'm
- 10:58Speaker 1: not gonna put Shack the dominant Kobe for sure, miss Kobe.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I'd put Kobe like six or seven ahead of Katie. Yeah.
- 11:07Speaker 1: For now, I think if Katie can win another ring,
- 11:10Speaker 1: I think I put stuff above Katie two right now,
- 11:14Speaker 1: I think. But if Katie wins another ring, I think
- 11:17Speaker 1: he kind of jumps over those guys. But Katie, to
- 11:20Speaker 1: me is a top nine, ten eleven player of all time.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I just threw those off off the top of my head,
- 11:24Speaker 1: and I did say Lebron over Jordan, and I did
- 11:26Speaker 1: get to watch both of them. I think Lebron does
- 11:28Speaker 1: way more, can do way more things, has played for
- 11:30Speaker 1: way longer. The only thing, the only thing he doesn't
- 11:33Speaker 1: have are the six rings. But he also hasn't had
- 11:35Speaker 1: consistency and superstars with him. Now, some of that's been
- 11:38Speaker 1: his own fault, him leaving. I just think if I'm
- 11:40Speaker 1: picking one, I take Lebron. I get it, you love Jordan.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I think Jordan's awesome too, But I'm gonna go that
- 11:46Speaker 1: Sons Clippers matchup is interesting because just Katie is changing
- 11:50Speaker 1: the whole West. I look at the whole Western side
- 11:53Speaker 1: of that different because of Katie, because he's that freaking
- 11:56Speaker 1: If Lebron wasn't in the league, he'd be the best player,
- 11:58Speaker 1: or would have been for a decade. He's seven foot tall,
- 12:02Speaker 1: he shoots from three. He's a better Dirt than Dirk was,
- 12:08Speaker 1: and Dirt gets all the credit for being the big Dirk,
- 12:10Speaker 1: for the guy that can shoot. They can handle the ball,
- 12:13Speaker 1: like Katie's awesome. Yeah, So that to me is interesting.
- 12:17Speaker 1: And also the Clippers playing with Russ and Durant playing
- 12:20Speaker 1: against each other, although Russ is saying it's not a
- 12:22Speaker 1: big deal. What it is, he doesn't really care. Sons
- 12:27Speaker 1: are eight and no with Katie in the lineup this year,
- 12:29Speaker 1: and eventually they have to lose a game, right like
- 12:31Speaker 1: they can't, then I'm gonna sweep the Clippers. So I
- 12:33Speaker 1: like that. The kaz and Knicks on the East, right,
- 12:36Speaker 1: that's the four five. Yeah, yeah, we talked about the Knicks.
- 12:42Speaker 1: We talked about Bronson, and those are two teams that
- 12:44Speaker 1: really haven't won consistently at all over the past ten years.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So I'm not as interested. But I'm still pretty interested
- 12:53Speaker 1: in both of these serieses if I'm being honest. The
- 12:56Speaker 1: Knicks beat the Calves with three one this year. But
- 12:59Speaker 1: the Knicks, we talk about no consistent. They haven't won
- 13:01Speaker 1: a playoff game and almost ten years, ten years our
- 13:04Speaker 1: serious sins. Then that's crazy. That's crazy to me. Playoff games, yes,
- 13:08Speaker 1: they have one. When the Trey Young Nicks from a
- 13:10Speaker 1: couple of years ago, remember that when Trey Young was
- 13:13Speaker 1: a mask, wore garden and just fighting with the Knicks
- 13:15Speaker 1: the whole time. Oh yeah, that was awesome. So they
- 13:17Speaker 1: have won games, but no serious Julius Randalls still questionable
- 13:21Speaker 1: for Game one, but I'm gonna go with the Suns
- 13:23Speaker 1: and Clippers because mostly I'm just extremely invested and interested
- 13:27Speaker 1: in the West, especially early when we get to on
- 13:30Speaker 1: the East, the Celtics and the Bucks and the Sixers,
- 13:35Speaker 1: that's when I'm really gonna start to feel like I
- 13:38Speaker 1: want to spend my time and invested here. It's gonna
- 13:40Speaker 1: be one of those teams coming out of the East, obviously,
- 13:44Speaker 1: and I'm just looking forward to the matchup in the
- 13:46Speaker 1: Eastern Comference Finals because it'll be two of those teams
- 13:48Speaker 1: in my opinion, I do hope. And now this is
- 13:51Speaker 1: we're recording this on Thursday. This one, the show goes
- 13:53Speaker 1: out Pat Bev one again with the Bulls in the
- 13:56Speaker 1: first play in game they gotta win another one to
- 13:58Speaker 1: get there. Pet Bev is apparently mister play. It's awesome.
- 14:02Speaker 1: If there's a playing game, he's there. I want him
- 14:04Speaker 1: to jump on the table like he did with Minnesota
- 14:06Speaker 1: last year, like just go crazy. I love Pat, Pat Beev,
- 14:09Speaker 1: Big Pat Bev guy. All right. Next up, going to
- 14:11Speaker 1: the NFL. As the hype around Anthony Richardson kind of
- 14:14Speaker 1: dies down in the drift gets closer, do you think
- 14:15Speaker 1: it's the lock with Bryce Young going number one. What's
- 14:18Speaker 1: funny you remember when it was CJ. Stroud the lock
- 14:20Speaker 1: and the Vegas odds were so big that c J.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Stroud was gonna be the number one pick. He was
- 14:24Speaker 1: like minus two hundred and a flip so quick announced,
- 14:27Speaker 1: you're right. It's completely the other way now where Bryce
- 14:30Speaker 1: Young looked at it. His minus three sixty. He's a
- 14:32Speaker 1: big favorite. Stroud at two twenty five and Anthony Richard
- 14:35Speaker 1: a plus two thousand. So yeah, what do I know
- 14:38Speaker 1: about a lot? Because even Vegas doesn't know really who
- 14:40Speaker 1: the lock is because at one point c J. Stroud
- 14:44Speaker 1: was by far the best or worst odds how you
- 14:46Speaker 1: define it. But yeah, I have Rice Young goes of one.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I don't think the Panthers are gonna trade it. I
- 14:52Speaker 1: mean right to have a quarterback though that is not
- 14:54Speaker 1: huge because Frank right, like you look at his body
- 14:57Speaker 1: of work and all the quarterbacks he's had, they've all
- 14:58Speaker 1: been like six four six five eyes. Yeah, they've all
- 15:01Speaker 1: been pocket passers, big arms, super athletic, tall guys. Bryce
- 15:08Speaker 1: Young a different quarterback than what he's used to. But
- 15:11Speaker 1: I do think he goes number one only because I'm
- 15:13Speaker 1: being told by people that I trust he's gonna go
- 15:15Speaker 1: number one, and mostly at trust the lines and Bryce
- 15:19Speaker 1: Young has been the favorite for a while. The Texans
- 15:21Speaker 1: are at two, they will go after a quarterback, probably
- 15:23Speaker 1: c J. Strout. The Cardinals are at three, they're gonna
- 15:27Speaker 1: trade that pick to who. I don't know. That's a
- 15:29Speaker 1: pretty valuable spot there, yeah, because at three you can
- 15:32Speaker 1: get Levis. And maybe you don't feel like Levis is
- 15:36Speaker 1: a number three pick, but if you do, or if
- 15:39Speaker 1: you're like I want to go, we take a flyer
- 15:40Speaker 1: on Anthony Richardson or yeah, Anthony Uson, Yeah, that you
- 15:45Speaker 1: go to that three spot. I was reading a tweet
- 15:47Speaker 1: yesterday from I Believe SEC Mike, and they were quoting
- 15:54Speaker 1: someone saying that a lot of the NFL teams were
- 15:57Speaker 1: just looking at Anthony Richson and going, Wow, he could
- 16:00Speaker 1: be one of the best quarterbacks. He's going to be
- 16:01Speaker 1: the best running quarterback in the NFL, and if he
- 16:04Speaker 1: can just improve his accuracy. What SEC Mike said was,
- 16:09Speaker 1: you know, there are certain coaches in college who will
- 16:12Speaker 1: not even recruit a kid unless they're accurate in high
- 16:14Speaker 1: school because as you jump levels, your accuracy almost never
- 16:18Speaker 1: gets better, especially way better because the talent you're up
- 16:22Speaker 1: against the is also harder. Yeah, the windows are smaller,
- 16:25Speaker 1: so it's hard for him to have better accuracy and
- 16:30Speaker 1: have smaller places to throw to. Like, if you played
- 16:32Speaker 1: another year in Florida, get like we've written for better accuracy. Okay,
- 16:35Speaker 1: it's a second year against same competition, but rarely according
- 16:39Speaker 1: to sec Mike, is there a coach? Is there a
- 16:41Speaker 1: player who just gets better as they jump a level? Interesting?
- 16:46Speaker 1: I wouldn't draft Danthony originals in the top fifteen, but
- 16:50Speaker 1: I'm also not running an NFL team and I haven't
- 16:52Speaker 1: seen him in person because I might fall in love
- 16:54Speaker 1: with them. Like everybody else, they'd be like, thank he's huge,
- 16:56Speaker 1: let's do it. And also, there is value to taking
- 16:58Speaker 1: a risk on a quarterback if it works out, because
- 17:01Speaker 1: they're so hard to find and if you're gonna suck,
- 17:03Speaker 1: you might as well suck going down in flames. Better
- 17:07Speaker 1: to suck going down in flames and trying something than
- 17:10Speaker 1: to suck with a retread quarterback is not gonna win.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Josh Allen has really changed that narrative to taking that
- 17:17Speaker 1: flyer on the quarterback because we all forget mister Trubisky,
- 17:20Speaker 1: and he was kind of the same thing, and he,
- 17:21Speaker 1: you know, still around. Josh Allen is a really good
- 17:24Speaker 1: example of that. I mean, even Patrick Mahomes. Yeah, who's
- 17:30Speaker 1: probably who will go down as one of the greatest
- 17:33Speaker 1: of all time, you know it Texas Tech. He really
- 17:36Speaker 1: wasn't someone who won a lot of big games. They
- 17:41Speaker 1: didn't play for the National Championship. I don't even think
- 17:44Speaker 1: they played in one of the BCS games. So and
- 17:48Speaker 1: then he came in and he obviously wasn't the starter.
- 17:50Speaker 1: He did have a year Andy Reid though. It's Picasso
- 17:53Speaker 1: with quarterbacks. Yeah, so a lot of it too, as
- 17:55Speaker 1: we've talked about on this show, is if you're a quarterback,
- 17:57Speaker 1: you it doesn't matter how good you are. You you
- 18:00Speaker 1: have to be put in a situation where you can
- 18:03Speaker 1: have players and coaches that support you your athleticism. The
- 18:09Speaker 1: style has to match, your organization has to because there
- 18:12Speaker 1: are a lot of really good quarterbacks who just went
- 18:16Speaker 1: out to swim and died because they were putting an
- 18:18Speaker 1: ocean that was angry. So yeah, I would still take
- 18:23Speaker 1: Anthony Richard if I was one of these teams and
- 18:24Speaker 1: I was at four or five, six, and you have
- 18:26Speaker 1: nothing else to do. I think the Colts probably try
- 18:29Speaker 1: to move up into that three spot from four and
- 18:31Speaker 1: not because they feel like just one spot makes the difference,
- 18:33Speaker 1: But it's to block the other teams from getting that
- 18:35Speaker 1: number three spot exactly, unless they're just sold on Levis.
- 18:41Speaker 1: But again, somebody could jump them. I guess there's safety
- 18:44Speaker 1: in that fourth spot where you know that Levis or
- 18:46Speaker 1: Richardson will be there, and then you look at who's
- 18:49Speaker 1: the next quarterback on and it's probably Hooker from Tennessee
- 18:53Speaker 1: coming off an injury. Yeah, but still had a really
- 18:56Speaker 1: good senior season. He's not really able to go hard
- 19:01Speaker 1: in like the Pro days because he's not all the
- 19:06Speaker 1: way back yet. I don't think from what I've read, Yeah, no,
- 19:08Speaker 1: I think he's he'll probably be out for the next year.
- 19:10Speaker 1: So oh completely, what's what people are saying, He'll probably
- 19:13Speaker 1: get drafted to be a backup, like a lot of
- 19:14Speaker 1: people are staying the Seahawks. But I'm the second pick. Yeah,
- 19:17Speaker 1: I'm saying, though, but he can play next year. I
- 19:18Speaker 1: thought you said he's gonna sit out next year. You're
- 19:20Speaker 1: saying he's gonna do He could probably do nothing, But no,
- 19:22Speaker 1: he probably he can, but people are on the fence
- 19:25Speaker 1: about if he's gonna be able to Nobody's ever said like, hey,
- 19:28Speaker 1: he's gonna play for sure, he can play for sure. Yeah,
- 19:30Speaker 1: that that third picks interesting what the Cardinals do with it,
- 19:31Speaker 1: because they can probably get something pretty good out of it.
- 19:33Speaker 1: They need some pretty good They don't need a quarterback
- 19:35Speaker 1: they got called the Murray, But yeah, I think Price
- 19:38Speaker 1: Young is the guy. He'll go number one next. Which
- 19:41Speaker 1: move do you think will happen first? Lamar to leave
- 19:43Speaker 1: or stay over there in Baltimore or Aaron Rodgers to
- 19:46Speaker 1: the Jets finally becoming official. I would say Lamar to
- 19:49Speaker 1: stay if I'm really dialing down. When they went in
- 19:52Speaker 1: gat O b J, he just go sums up. That's
- 19:55Speaker 1: the only reason I think that is because they're still
- 19:57Speaker 1: making moves, and they're making moves on a receiver that
- 19:58Speaker 1: I probably wouldn't invest that much in unless there was
- 20:00Speaker 1: somebody specifically that really believed in him. And my thought
- 20:04Speaker 1: is it tends to be Lamar more than it is
- 20:08Speaker 1: Harball and a lot of these teams. The Jets another example,
- 20:13Speaker 1: they get all the pieces in place, and especially pieces
- 20:16Speaker 1: that the quarterbacks are familiar with if for trying to
- 20:18Speaker 1: lure that quarterback in, so I would think it would
- 20:21Speaker 1: be Lamar, although if neither one of them happened, they're
- 20:27Speaker 1: just both gonna happen after the draft. Though. That's what
- 20:29Speaker 1: I think is happening. I think the draft's gonna happen,
- 20:31Speaker 1: and they're both gonna happen one way or the other. Yeah,
- 20:35Speaker 1: I can't see this close to the draft either one
- 20:36Speaker 1: of them now going all right, we're ready to make
- 20:40Speaker 1: a decision. So but I still think Lamar before Aaron Rodgers.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I don't know if Aaron Rodgers ever plays again, or
- 20:46Speaker 1: I don't know if he just shows up at halftime
- 20:47Speaker 1: in Game three with the wrong jersey and they still
- 20:50Speaker 1: put oh yeah, I don't know Aaron Rodgers, or he
- 20:52Speaker 1: shows up to the USFL this week to play, Yes,
- 20:54Speaker 1: I want to see that, all right. What else? Speaking
- 20:56Speaker 1: of the UFL USFL, do you have any interest in
- 20:59Speaker 1: it kicking this weekend? I don't. It's not because I'm
- 21:02Speaker 1: a hater. It's because I still get XFL, USFL, CFL,
- 21:07Speaker 1: bfl FL fall follow I don't all the differences, and
- 21:11Speaker 1: they're like, wow, look at this group of players that
- 21:13Speaker 1: you once heard of a long time ago playing for them.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I don't know the difference. And I didn't watch a
- 21:17Speaker 1: whole lot of XFL. I watched that first week and
- 21:22Speaker 1: only some, and then I watched some random highlights. But
- 21:24Speaker 1: I didn't care that much about it because there wasn't
- 21:26Speaker 1: anything that made me go and be like, I have
- 21:28Speaker 1: to watch this. I give you an example of something
- 21:30Speaker 1: I never watched, but there was something that made me go,
- 21:31Speaker 1: I have to watch this. Caitlyn Clark at Iowa. I
- 21:34Speaker 1: don't spend a lot of time watching women's college basketball.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I'll watch Arkansas women's college basketball, especially if our team
- 21:39Speaker 1: is pretty good middle half of the year on. But
- 21:43Speaker 1: Iowa had Caitlin Clark who was so dynamic you just
- 21:46Speaker 1: had to watch her. That's it. You're seeing clips highlights.
- 21:49Speaker 1: She's killing it. People are talking about it. National championship game.
- 21:52Speaker 1: That was it. That was the spot that a lot
- 21:54Speaker 1: of us went to it said let me see with
- 21:56Speaker 1: my own eyes, because you had somebody that drew you there.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Just football, just bad football is not gonna make us
- 22:03Speaker 1: go watch it. We're not that hard up. We just
- 22:05Speaker 1: had the Masters. We just finished with um baseball started,
- 22:10Speaker 1: but we just finished with college basketball the NC double
- 22:13Speaker 1: a turn. We're pretty good. We love football. We're pretty good.
- 22:17Speaker 1: We're not starving for sports. It's not the pandemic. Whenever
- 22:19Speaker 1: nothing was happening, and if there's freaking ping pong on,
- 22:21Speaker 1: we're like two people are nearing each other in the
- 22:23Speaker 1: same room. I gotta watch it. Yeah, we don't need it.
- 22:27Speaker 1: So no, they just need something or some rule or
- 22:31Speaker 1: something that we have to see to get people there
- 22:34Speaker 1: to take a little taste to make us want to
- 22:36Speaker 1: go back. So I didn't even know the season was
- 22:40Speaker 1: kicking off this weekend. I knew it was coming, but
- 22:44Speaker 1: XFL just ended, and it's it hasn't even ended. It
- 22:47Speaker 1: hasn't end. The playoffs are about to start. I'm pretty
- 22:49Speaker 1: sure this week I know nothing. I know nothing. I
- 22:51Speaker 1: know nothing. Okay, so that it we got more. That's all.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Let's go stupid. But reminder of the twenty five whistles
- 23:02Speaker 1: brought to you by are great friends at Draft King
- 23:05Speaker 1: sports book, download the Draft King zapp and used to
- 23:07Speaker 1: co Bobbie Sports to get in on the action. I
- 23:10Speaker 1: am excited about the NBA playoffs. I am rarely this
- 23:14Speaker 1: excited about the early rounds of the NBA playoffs. I
- 23:17Speaker 1: like the play in games. I like the playing games. Yeah,
- 23:22Speaker 1: it's just an extra wrinkle. I need a play in team, though,
- 23:26Speaker 1: to do well. Like wildcard team in baseball, those Walkerard
- 23:30Speaker 1: teams in baseball. They're playing hot at the right time
- 23:32Speaker 1: and they win the World Series at times. It's pretty
- 23:35Speaker 1: cool to see. I like to see a play in
- 23:36Speaker 1: team do pretty well because then it gives you a
- 23:38Speaker 1: reason to just cared a little bit more because you're like,
- 23:41Speaker 1: of course they can right now. I don't feel like
- 23:43Speaker 1: any of the playing teams. The Lakers, I do feel
- 23:44Speaker 1: I can do some damage, but only because they have Lebron.
- 23:46Speaker 1: That's it now. It's not even about the team. Lebron's
- 23:50Speaker 1: played twenty years and he's still gonna make a an
- 23:54Speaker 1: All NBA team. I would imagine he'd make one of
- 23:56Speaker 1: the All NBA teams this year, not first team he
- 24:00Speaker 1: went of years in He's getting Angelina Joel lead on stuff,
- 24:03Speaker 1: meaning she was like hottest Woman of the Year so
- 24:04Speaker 1: many years in a row. They even though she was
- 24:06Speaker 1: still super hot to people, they were like, we can't
- 24:09Speaker 1: put on the list. She's already been on it four
- 24:11Speaker 1: years in a row, and people got tired of her
- 24:13Speaker 1: because they held her up so high for so long.
- 24:16Speaker 1: We don't even understand how great Lebron is and how
- 24:19Speaker 1: great it is it He's been not even effective, but
- 24:22Speaker 1: dominant over twenty years. Read's only sixteen. Haven't you have
- 24:28Speaker 1: any reading? EVE been around that long, buddy, Nope, I haven't. Yes,
- 24:32Speaker 1: So the playoff games got me excited. Nicks and Calves,
- 24:36Speaker 1: that's what Calves minus five Warriors and Kings Kings. Hey,
- 24:40Speaker 1: listen that game there, that series there is really cool
- 24:44Speaker 1: because the Kings in need respect. I think I think
- 24:48Speaker 1: I saw they were one of the top three most
- 24:50Speaker 1: efficient offenses in the history of the NBA from this year. Wow, right,
- 24:54Speaker 1: history but efficient it's not like most Yes, but yes,
- 24:57Speaker 1: I don't even know how they get that stat. Mean,
- 24:59Speaker 1: either I was just like efficient and then I moved on.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Probably a lot of math, yeah, or he just finds
- 25:04Speaker 1: a reason to say somebody's good. There's a lot of
- 25:05Speaker 1: ways to do that. But the Kings are one point
- 25:08Speaker 1: favorite at home. I don't. I still feel like the
- 25:11Speaker 1: Warriors are gonna rock through that. But good for the Kings,
- 25:14Speaker 1: good for the fans and Sacramento. I've always had terrible
- 25:16Speaker 1: teams Lakers and Grizzs. Grizz with three and a half
- 25:18Speaker 1: point favorites in the first game. I'm gonna jump all
- 25:21Speaker 1: over Lakers on that one, which probably means I'm wrong.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Anytime I want to jump on something, I'm probably wrong.
- 25:26Speaker 1: So let's go. If you want to take twenty five whistles.
- 25:28Speaker 1: You know we're not parlaying these games right here this week,
- 25:31Speaker 1: but those are a few of the games. I guess
- 25:32Speaker 1: the one on that that I want to jump on
- 25:34Speaker 1: is the Lakers because they're getting three and a half points.
- 25:37Speaker 1: I know the Griz arrested, but Lebron hasn't need to arrest.
- 25:41Speaker 1: He gets in like the hyper chamber or whatever. That
- 25:43Speaker 1: is his million dollars that he spends a year. He
- 25:46Speaker 1: spends a million. That's an investment. Yeah. So if you
- 25:49Speaker 1: want to take twenty five whistles parlay, you can check
- 25:51Speaker 1: out Draft King Sports Book. New users used to code
- 25:53Speaker 1: Bobby Sports when you download the app twenty one and up.
- 25:55Speaker 1: The most eligible states, but age varies by jurisdiction. Eligibility
- 25:58Speaker 1: restrictions apply. Gambling problem on a hundred gambler in New
- 26:00Speaker 1: York call eight seven seven eight Hope and wire texts
- 26:02Speaker 1: Hope and Why four six seven, three six nine. See
- 26:05Speaker 1: show notes for full to tails. You know what I
- 26:09Speaker 1: have coming up as a tell a conference with my doctor.
- 26:13Speaker 1: I have that about forty five minutes. Interesting, only ten
- 26:16Speaker 1: minutes to get home. We got plenty of time. But
- 26:18Speaker 1: it's cool what we now accept as normal when it
- 26:24Speaker 1: was so abnormal because the pandemic, obviously a lot of
- 26:26Speaker 1: bad things happened, and so I don't want to be like, oh, look,
- 26:28Speaker 1: do you what are you talking abou? Everything's good pandemic,
- 26:30Speaker 1: it's not shut up stops enemy DMS. Second of all,
- 26:34Speaker 1: from that, we had to learn different styles even of communication,
- 26:39Speaker 1: and we started just talking with doctors on FaceTime. And
- 26:43Speaker 1: so now they literally can do telehealth calls like a checkout.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Because my insurance, I have to like have a meeting
- 26:47Speaker 1: with my doctor, especially in the TV projects I do
- 26:49Speaker 1: that are physical, I have to like mute with my
- 26:51Speaker 1: doctor and they got to check me off all this stuff.
- 26:53Speaker 1: There's also the we're supposed to talk about it, but
- 26:57Speaker 1: I'm still trying to get medically cleared for the Blue Angels.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Oh right, nice, so you did say, yes, Well, what
- 27:04Speaker 1: actually happened was the Navy. Who has the final answer
- 27:08Speaker 1: to this hasn't clear. So I was asked to do it,
- 27:11Speaker 1: but I really wasn't said yes, will you do it?
- 27:14Speaker 1: And you can do it? They're like, would you do it?
- 27:17Speaker 1: And then if I say yes, then they tell me
- 27:19Speaker 1: if I can or can't do it? Interesting, I thought
- 27:21Speaker 1: the same thing. What would hinder did they say, like
- 27:23Speaker 1: why you couldn't or doctor? Okay, so I gotta get
- 27:26Speaker 1: psychological tests. I'm good there, so yeah, physical like I
- 27:31Speaker 1: didn't want you to get up there and like your
- 27:33Speaker 1: heart stop or something. Okay, So I don't want to
- 27:36Speaker 1: work out a lot, so I gotta do this. No,
- 27:38Speaker 1: I don't really ever say that because then I don't.
- 27:39Speaker 1: I don't look like it. You know. YouTube unveiled their
- 27:43Speaker 1: Sunday ticket pricing, which is awesome. I'm so excited that
- 27:46Speaker 1: it is now on YouTube TV. I have YouTube TV.
- 27:48Speaker 1: It's not even about that I would get YouTube TV
- 27:50Speaker 1: if I didn't have it, and this was coming next
- 27:54Speaker 1: football season, so it's it's amazing. By the way, YouTube
- 27:57Speaker 1: TV is awesome. If you guys don't have it, I
- 28:00Speaker 1: get it because forever I was like, I don't need
- 28:02Speaker 1: YouTube as my TV I don't want to have to
- 28:05Speaker 1: go to YouTube to watch TV. However, if you have
- 28:08Speaker 1: a smart TV or I use it on my Apple TV,
- 28:11Speaker 1: I just go to YouTube TV or the phone. I'll
- 28:13Speaker 1: watch so much stuff on my phone and you get
- 28:14Speaker 1: every channel, and then it starts to be like, oh,
- 28:17Speaker 1: we know what you like to watch. So anytime there's
- 28:18Speaker 1: any game on, it's up first in my little selection.
- 28:21Speaker 1: YouTube TV is awesome. This is not a commercial. I
- 28:24Speaker 1: have it too. How long have you had it? A
- 28:27Speaker 1: little over a year? Mind? You have YouTube TV now
- 28:29Speaker 1: I just regular YouTube. Well everybody has that. I watched
- 28:32Speaker 1: a lot of YouTube YouTube TV. It really is amazing.
- 28:35Speaker 1: And so Sunday ticket information because they're gonna have it.
- 28:38Speaker 1: If you already subscribe to YouTube TV, your price will
- 28:40Speaker 1: be three hundred forty nine bucks for the entire season.
- 28:43Speaker 1: So if you already have a YouTube TV, so it's
- 28:45Speaker 1: gonna be more than that if you're not right, Yeah, good,
- 28:47Speaker 1: so three forty nine for the entire season, two forty
- 28:50Speaker 1: nine if you subscribe before June sixth, So hey, that's
- 28:54Speaker 1: a big benefit. If you're not a subscriber, but you've
- 28:56Speaker 1: become a subscriber before June sixth, it's even cheaper. Yeah,
- 29:00Speaker 1: what if you just starting new account? Cancel one, start
- 29:02Speaker 1: a new one canceler you're occurring one. Yeah, and then
- 29:06Speaker 1: I'm under a Blobby Jones or yeah, I get that discount.
- 29:12Speaker 1: If you're not a subscriber to YouTube TV, you don't
- 29:14Speaker 1: have to subscribe to YouTube TV. The price would be
- 29:17Speaker 1: four to forty nine for the season, or you can
- 29:19Speaker 1: buy it for three forty nine, which one I'm have
- 29:21Speaker 1: to pay as a subscriber if you order it before
- 29:24Speaker 1: June six. None of the package will include NFL Red Zone.
- 29:28Speaker 1: If you want that added, you have to tack on
- 29:29Speaker 1: another forty bucks. So it ain't cheap. But what I
- 29:33Speaker 1: do like is that it is an option and that
- 29:37Speaker 1: I have right now, Dick the money to do it.
- 29:40Speaker 1: It's so worth it, though, if you have it, it's
- 29:42Speaker 1: very worth it. Yeah, it's so because I have big,
- 29:45Speaker 1: big Fantasy football, Yeah big, you know draft Kings. You're
- 29:49Speaker 1: not in your team's area where you can watch the
- 29:51Speaker 1: local game. It's awesome. I missed it so much. I
- 29:54Speaker 1: would only watch red Zone the last few years. I
- 29:56Speaker 1: used to have direct TV. Yeah, and I had it.
- 29:59Speaker 1: It was the greatest thing. I just flip for game
- 30:01Speaker 1: to game. Oh this my runner Backs got the ball
- 30:02Speaker 1: over here. Let me flip over and watch this game
- 30:03Speaker 1: while they're on offense. For a fantasy football player, it
- 30:06Speaker 1: was the best. So super excited that I now have
- 30:10Speaker 1: the option to get it. I guess I had the
- 30:12Speaker 1: option in some weird way with direct TV and some
- 30:14Speaker 1: man I just anytime Ed'd be like, just go pay
- 30:17Speaker 1: for and act like a student, Like I don't know.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Some feel shady about that. He's the student email. Yeah,
- 30:22Speaker 1: he's like what is his Facebook? In two thousand and
- 30:24Speaker 1: four and he's like, no, you can get him, and
- 30:26Speaker 1: you just tell him you're a student. Tell who and
- 30:29Speaker 1: if they have to see me, they're gonna know that
- 30:30Speaker 1: ain't true. Antonio Brown hit with the lawsuit from a jeweler.
- 30:35Speaker 1: You know, I bet you. Antonio Brown has always been nuts,
- 30:38Speaker 1: But when he's so good of an athlete and he's
- 30:40Speaker 1: making a difference on a team that's winning, that kind
- 30:44Speaker 1: of gets put to the wayside because we just care
- 30:47Speaker 1: about the Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver. It's making the catches,
- 30:50Speaker 1: it's but now that he's out and he probably just bored,
- 30:53Speaker 1: it's just so much stupidity from him. It seems like, yeah,
- 30:57Speaker 1: like every time it's like his winner in a pool,
- 30:59Speaker 1: it's his somebody saying he did that. I feel like
- 31:02Speaker 1: Antonio Brown wouldn't be a fun friend. I wouldn't want
- 31:05Speaker 1: to be Antonio Brown's friend. No, just so much drama.
- 31:08Speaker 1: He's been hit with a one point one million dollar
- 31:10Speaker 1: lawsuit from a celebrity jeweler named Shookie International. In the suit,
- 31:14Speaker 1: he says he gave Brown several pieces of jewelry back
- 31:16Speaker 1: in twenty twenty two under the promise at ABU pay
- 31:18Speaker 1: him close to one million bucks for it. Antonio Brown
- 31:21Speaker 1: even made a rap song titled Shookie Diamonds about it
- 31:24Speaker 1: last year. Here you go fingers Thomas Emerald Dimonds girlfriends diamonds.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I mean he's right there saying it. Yeah, you don't
- 31:35Speaker 1: make that long unless you got shook his diamonds. He's
- 31:37Speaker 1: definitely talking about it. The two of them have gotten
- 31:39Speaker 1: together on stage perform. He's supposed to pay the tab
- 31:41Speaker 1: by December first, hasn't done it. I don't. I don't
- 31:46Speaker 1: know what's happening, but it's just always something that is
- 31:50Speaker 1: not positive about Antonio Brown. Maybe they're hiding the positive stuff,
- 31:54Speaker 1: but usually how it works. It's almost like he likes
- 31:57Speaker 1: the drama nowadays, where he's just I gotta get back
- 31:59Speaker 1: in the news, or he's just an idiot too, because
- 32:02Speaker 1: I don't know, I want to get in the news
- 32:03Speaker 1: for this. Yeah, I want to screw a Shokie International
- 32:06Speaker 1: shook a five year high for the Master's ratings. The
- 32:10Speaker 1: eighty seventh Masters was a hit. The rain sucked them
- 32:15Speaker 1: having a call at days. It got a little poor
- 32:18Speaker 1: at times even the play because it was raining before
- 32:20Speaker 1: they would call it and scores would go down. I mean,
- 32:22Speaker 1: Jessah Thomas got so unfortunate he missed the cut because
- 32:26Speaker 1: the weather was bad. I don't think he plays that
- 32:29Speaker 1: badly on round two, which was day three, if it's
- 32:33Speaker 1: not raining pretty good at the end, he didn't play well.
- 32:36Speaker 1: I'm not saying he played well. I think he makes
- 32:38Speaker 1: the cut if it's not raining like it was. So
- 32:40Speaker 1: it definitely affected certain people. That's golf, though, right, you
- 32:43Speaker 1: play in the morning versus afternoon. Sometimes weather goods, weather's
- 32:46Speaker 1: not good. But it was also I love a big
- 32:50Speaker 1: name golfer in it or two, and also maybe a
- 32:54Speaker 1: golfer that you don't know because you like to root
- 32:55Speaker 1: for the underdog. And as fun as it is to
- 32:57Speaker 1: have a bunch of underdogs up top, all compared to
- 32:59Speaker 1: a college basket ball in the final four, you don't
- 33:02Speaker 1: want to see all the underdogs because then you don't
- 33:04Speaker 1: even know what underdog to pull. Four. We just need
- 33:05Speaker 1: one in there. We just need one. We don't need
- 33:07Speaker 1: to know him, but we don't need too that's confusing
- 33:09Speaker 1: to us. And then we need a big player either
- 33:11Speaker 1: we like or we hate. Yes, we need some sort
- 33:14Speaker 1: of rivalry David and Goliath, good guy, bad guy two
- 33:19Speaker 1: old you know, uh, golfers or friends that used to
- 33:23Speaker 1: compete all the time. Rival We just need something to
- 33:27Speaker 1: root for for, like a big finale. And that's what
- 33:30Speaker 1: we had here because you had Kepta who led the
- 33:32Speaker 1: whole time basically until he didn't. I mean he launched
- 33:37Speaker 1: quick day one, day two, I mean collapsed, Dave. I
- 33:40Speaker 1: don't want to say days round four because the days
- 33:43Speaker 1: sometimes got mixed up into because of the rain. But
- 33:46Speaker 1: it was everybody' wrott for John rom who's probably never
- 33:48Speaker 1: been rooted for that much in his whole life. Yeah,
- 33:50Speaker 1: I was wondering if he was going against anybody else
- 33:53Speaker 1: of them, Maybe not anybody but Brooks. Because so many
- 33:55Speaker 1: people root against Brooks or so hardcore four Brooks, it
- 33:58Speaker 1: just makes it is there a big pro Brooks? Actually no,
- 34:02Speaker 1: I know there's a sum And Brooks was so unlikable
- 34:05Speaker 1: in Full Swing. I was We were on the chorus
- 34:08Speaker 1: last weekend talking about that, and the guy that we
- 34:10Speaker 1: got paired up with he said the same thing. He's like, Man,
- 34:12Speaker 1: ever since I watched Full Swing, I can't stand the same.
- 34:15Speaker 1: I always thought, you know, who cares, big athletic golfer,
- 34:19Speaker 1: really dominant at times, fell off injured. But now that
- 34:22Speaker 1: I've watched him on full Swing, I'm like, I don't
- 34:24Speaker 1: like him. We're John Rom. I don't really know well enough,
- 34:27Speaker 1: but I was rooting for John Rome. And John Rome
- 34:29Speaker 1: deserved when the Masters because he's so good. You hope
- 34:32Speaker 1: a guy like that gets to win the Masters at
- 34:34Speaker 1: least once. Yeah, So that's it. I mean, it was
- 34:37Speaker 1: those that that was the that was the match. It
- 34:39Speaker 1: was John Roman, Brooks kept guy. You wanted the live
- 34:41Speaker 1: guy in the PGA guy you'd really didn't care about
- 34:42Speaker 1: the other thing. I think when they let these live
- 34:44Speaker 1: guys play in the Majors, which aren't PGA events because
- 34:50Speaker 1: they're not on the PGA tour. They're masters separate. I
- 34:53Speaker 1: think they make them wear like black or something, or
- 34:57Speaker 1: like a steat that if you're a live guy, you
- 34:59Speaker 1: have to wear the whatever the villain colors are. Yeah,
- 35:01Speaker 1: I think Phil was in all black. Phil was always
- 35:03Speaker 1: an all black. Now Phil also is like skinnier Phil
- 35:06Speaker 1: shot of what sixty five the last round? Yeah, crazy,
- 35:09Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, Phils in third place and
- 35:10Speaker 1: you're like, wait, how did that happen? Because they didn't
- 35:12Speaker 1: spend a lot of time showing them. No, I gotta
- 35:14Speaker 1: be on purpose, right, I mean, he wasn't at the top,
- 35:16Speaker 1: I guess, but he came through at the very end.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Obviously that last day, second half of the last day,
- 35:22Speaker 1: he was playing out of his mind, but nobody really cared,
- 35:25Speaker 1: so they would go to him some. But it was
- 35:27Speaker 1: really all about kept gun ram and it was speeth
- 35:31Speaker 1: because people like speech, and so they were showing him
- 35:33Speaker 1: kind of climbing back into it. But he was like
- 35:35Speaker 1: five holes ahead of them, So he was on like
- 35:37Speaker 1: sixteen three shots back before he pulled it into the woods,
- 35:41Speaker 1: and you're like, does he have a chance. Way didn't
- 35:42Speaker 1: even have holes to really have a chance. Less the
- 35:44Speaker 1: top guys collapse. But the ratings were good, and the
- 35:47Speaker 1: rats were good, not because people love golf, but because
- 35:49Speaker 1: people love golf and people love to see rivals. And
- 35:53Speaker 1: it wasn't so much the people, but it was the
- 35:55Speaker 1: PGA versus the live. In my opinion, major games are
- 36:00Speaker 1: getting so short. Teams are now extending beer sales. Used
- 36:02Speaker 1: to be seventh inning, but now they're going, hey, we're
- 36:04Speaker 1: not making a much money anymore because seventh inning comes
- 36:07Speaker 1: a lot quicker. So now eighth inning they'll they'll give
- 36:11Speaker 1: an extra inning. I love it. Why not just sell
- 36:13Speaker 1: beer the whole time? Yeah, it's gonna get to that.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Why not? Yeah, you think, first of all, you can
- 36:19Speaker 1: have beer the whole time, you just can't buy it.
- 36:20Speaker 1: So what you do to buy four of them the
- 36:21Speaker 1: seventh inning for the next two innings? Been there plenty
- 36:24Speaker 1: of times. Yeah, Cliff Kingberry is going to join USC
- 36:27Speaker 1: as an offensive analyst. Those analysts are kind of where
- 36:30Speaker 1: the real money's made, not by the person that's the analyst,
- 36:33Speaker 1: but by the coaches. If you get a great analyst,
- 36:34Speaker 1: their only job is to focus on one certain thing.
- 36:37Speaker 1: If you're an offensive analyst. You're focusing on one certain
- 36:40Speaker 1: thing and you're making sure that exact little thing is
- 36:42Speaker 1: on right. And so it's also rehab for coaches who
- 36:45Speaker 1: have been fired. Saban has like the ultimate analysts rehab.
- 36:48Speaker 1: You also have twenty analysts and you have a staff
- 36:50Speaker 1: of like forty people, and one of the analysts is
- 36:53Speaker 1: only watching the hands of the defensive linemen. You better
- 36:56Speaker 1: believe those hands of the defensive I'm are gonna be
- 36:58Speaker 1: really good. Caleb Williams is going to be unreal. It's

- 37:54Speaker 1: which is pretty cool. NFL correspondent, content creator. That's how
- 37:57Speaker 1: I got to know her. I mean, I didn't know her.
- 37:59Speaker 1: You feel like somebody if you follow them on Instagram
- 38:01Speaker 1: or TikTok though true, and she's really good. She's gained
- 38:04Speaker 1: over at one point two million followers across her social
- 38:06Speaker 1: since twenty twenty. If you haven't seen the videos yet,
- 38:09Speaker 1: she recaps each week around the NFL on the top
- 38:10Speaker 1: storylines with a comical spin to it. Because she's every
- 38:14Speaker 1: character it's like, Okay, nfl own her meetings, and then
- 38:17Speaker 1: she's like the Eagles, then she's the Jets. We're talking
- 38:19Speaker 1: to each other. You gotta kind of see what's up.
- 38:21Speaker 1: But you know, she started making these videos during COVID.
- 38:23Speaker 1: In her first video, what she talked about was a
- 38:25Speaker 1: Big Ten, like all the teams from the Big Ten.
- 38:27Speaker 1: You got over three million views quickly. And so we
- 38:31Speaker 1: have a clip here, Mike. This is a little something
- 38:33Speaker 1: to get people in idea. All right, guys, before we
- 38:35Speaker 1: get to the super Bowl, there's a lot that's happened
- 38:37Speaker 1: in the past couple of weeks we need to address.
- 38:39Speaker 1: First of all, Tom Brady is retired again. In the
- 38:42Speaker 1: past twelve months, we've had two Tom Brady retirements and
- 38:44Speaker 1: about fourteen Carls create a contract. Tom Brady has more
- 38:46Speaker 1: retirements than Aaron Rodgers has rights. Thank you, Chicago, Thanks
- 38:49Speaker 1: thanks for that. So she's playing all these different characters
- 38:51Speaker 1: and it's by the shirt and jersey she's wearing. So
- 38:54Speaker 1: it's awesome. You can find Annie on TikTok and Instagram
- 38:57Speaker 1: at Annie Agar five. And now let's go to the
- 38:59Speaker 1: interview with Annie Agar any how are you good? How
- 39:01Speaker 1: are you doing. Hey good. It's cool to talk to
- 39:03Speaker 1: you because I'm one of the many people who would
- 39:05Speaker 1: just come across you on TikTok, you know, a couple
- 39:08Speaker 1: of years ago and it was like, oh man, she's hilarious.
- 39:11Speaker 1: She's doing all the different people in the room and
- 39:13Speaker 1: you know, and now it's you're everywhere, and it's super
- 39:16Speaker 1: cool to see that someone with you know, a creative
- 39:19Speaker 1: idea followed that and now they are having a successful career.
- 39:23Speaker 1: So just congratulations to you for all that. Thank you.
- 39:26Speaker 1: I appreciate that. It's been fun so far. It's kind
- 39:29Speaker 1: of a fun way to connect with the fans. And
- 39:32Speaker 1: the way it started was just a you know, an
- 39:33Speaker 1: idea on TikTok, like you said, and it's amazing how
- 39:36Speaker 1: many people wanted this kind of content and wanted this
- 39:39Speaker 1: kind of humor. It's like a good comedic relief, you know. Well,
- 39:42Speaker 1: also you want to be able to do it if
- 39:43Speaker 1: you didn't know what you're talking about, right, it's hard
- 39:44Speaker 1: to you know, as someone who tells jokes, I got
- 39:46Speaker 1: to be able to tell jokes. I have to know
- 39:48Speaker 1: what my subject matter is too. So it's not like
- 39:51Speaker 1: you're just a casual sports fan. And you decide to
- 39:54Speaker 1: do all this content, like you're so dialed in. And
- 39:56Speaker 1: when I heard that you were gonna come on with us,
- 39:58Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you some real questions because think
- 40:00Speaker 1: you're super smart, and so I think you're extremely dialed
- 40:03Speaker 1: in as well. So let's start a great chance to
- 40:05Speaker 1: prove you're wrong. Well, listen, I'm wrong all the time,
- 40:07Speaker 1: so I don't feel like that's a thing. But I
- 40:08Speaker 1: do want to talk about the NFL Draft for a second,
- 40:11Speaker 1: especially the top five picks, like the teams that have
- 40:14Speaker 1: the top five picks, because they are basically four quarterbacks, Like,
- 40:17Speaker 1: how are you seeing this thing shakeout? As we get
- 40:19Speaker 1: closer to the draft? There was some question about drama
- 40:22Speaker 1: going into it. I think it's pretty straightforward. Now we
- 40:24Speaker 1: know Bryce songs gonna go number one overall, we know
- 40:26Speaker 1: the quarterbacks are gonna fall. But I think the question
- 40:29Speaker 1: comes with the Cardinals pick and whether there will be
- 40:31Speaker 1: trade there. I think that's the first opportunity for a trade.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Will they trade to Seattle? Probably not, because they're within
- 40:35Speaker 1: the division. I wouldn't do it personally, but you look
- 40:37Speaker 1: at these teams that need a franchise quarterback, The Raiders
- 40:40Speaker 1: are one of those teams that could trade up the Colts.
- 40:43Speaker 1: It's going to shake up around three, But like you said,
- 40:45Speaker 1: I think, you know, Bryce Young and CJ. Stroud are
- 40:47Speaker 1: going to go off the board. I personally love CJ
- 40:49Speaker 1: because I'm an Ohio State fan living in Michigan. I
- 40:52Speaker 1: don't don't ask me to explain it because I don't.
- 40:54Speaker 1: I don't understand it either. I think it'll shake up
- 40:56Speaker 1: around three. The first five are pretty solid though, like
- 40:59Speaker 1: edge rushers are going to be really hot in this
- 41:01Speaker 1: draft too, So that's kind of my first overall opinion
- 41:03Speaker 1: of the first five picks. What about the Packers. Are
- 41:05Speaker 1: you a Packers fan? I feel like by watching your videos,
- 41:08Speaker 1: you're you either go hard at the Packers or talk
- 41:10Speaker 1: about the Packers enough. Where do you fall in that
- 41:12Speaker 1: Packers world? Unfortunately? Yes, Okay again, don't know how that
- 41:16Speaker 1: fandom happened. I am so done talking about Aaron Rodgers.
- 41:20Speaker 1: I can't even explain to you. I want this man
- 41:22Speaker 1: to be traded yesterday, and I think the majority of
- 41:25Speaker 1: packerstans feel the same way. You know, what I think
- 41:27Speaker 1: is going to be shocking. I think that the Packers
- 41:29Speaker 1: actually might draft a wide receiver in the first round,
- 41:32Speaker 1: or Aaron Rodgers is going to show up to mandatory minicamp.
- 41:34Speaker 1: One of those two things has never happened in the
- 41:36Speaker 1: past for Packers stands, and that might happen this year.
- 41:38Speaker 1: So either way, we're going to have a surprise come
- 41:41Speaker 1: draft time. I mean the irony of if they draft
- 41:43Speaker 1: a wide receiver in the first round after Rodgers constantly
- 41:46Speaker 1: called for it and cried for it, and if they
- 41:49Speaker 1: do it when he finally leaves or when he's probably
- 41:52Speaker 1: not coming back. I mean kind of funny if you're
- 41:54Speaker 1: not a Packers fan that was with Aaron Rodgers all
- 41:56Speaker 1: those years. Keywords being not a Packers fan. I know.
- 42:00Speaker 1: And you know what's ironic. We built a team around him, right,
- 42:02Speaker 1: We allegedly got the tools that he wanted. Then he
- 42:05Speaker 1: said we didn't. But guess who he's taking with him
- 42:07Speaker 1: to New York. Everybody that we got him. So I'm
- 42:09Speaker 1: just I can't even begin to tell you how frustrated
- 42:12Speaker 1: I am with that and the people that he's taking
- 42:14Speaker 1: for the most part, like fifty years old. You know,
- 42:16Speaker 1: I'm supposed you're not bringing Jordy Nelson back like I demand.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Jordy Nelson get a contract at this point, I feel like, though,
- 42:22Speaker 1: with the Jets and Rogers saying you know, he intends
- 42:25Speaker 1: to sign with the Jets, he obviously hasn't signed anything,
- 42:27Speaker 1: and they're probably waiting till after the draft. I feel
- 42:29Speaker 1: like though, that gives the Packers and then the Jets
- 42:33Speaker 1: that trade dynamic, like the Packers can probably probably won't
- 42:36Speaker 1: get as much for Rogers now that he said he
- 42:39Speaker 1: already wants to go to the Jets, I feel like
- 42:41Speaker 1: there's a weird thing to say and not actually do.
- 42:44Speaker 1: How do you feel that's going to shake out? Like
- 42:46Speaker 1: I know what the Packers are wanting, but the Jets
- 42:48Speaker 1: can be like, well, you know he wants to come here,
- 42:49Speaker 1: We're not going to give you everything you're asking for, right. Yeah.
- 42:53Speaker 1: I think that was a big issue too, and everybody's like, oh,
- 42:56Speaker 1: you know, Roger's all about the drama and kind of
- 42:58Speaker 1: focused on himself. And when you have a team say
- 43:01Speaker 1: we are done with you, we're moving out to Jordan
- 43:02Speaker 1: Love and you still are kind of holding them hostage,
- 43:05Speaker 1: it's very frustrating. But I think it does plan too
- 43:07Speaker 1: what we can get for him, because I one hundred
- 43:09Speaker 1: percent was thinking first rounder. There's no way for Aaron Rodgers,
- 43:12Speaker 1: you know, a four time eat. You're not going to
- 43:14Speaker 1: get a first round draft pick for him. Now he's
- 43:17Speaker 1: committed to New York. The Packers don't want and we're
- 43:19Speaker 1: done with him. I'm not looking forward to what we're
- 43:22Speaker 1: going to be getting in return for him. The Jets
- 43:24Speaker 1: are like, he's already coming here. We don't have to
- 43:27Speaker 1: give you a whole lot, all right. I feel like
- 43:28Speaker 1: he again painted the Packers in a weird position. But
- 43:31Speaker 1: how funny again if he just shows up a minicamp,
- 43:33Speaker 1: not saying anything, just like all right, boys, I'm back,
- 43:36Speaker 1: let's go. Apparently he's done. This is some insider information.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Apparently he's done this before with Packer's front off. I mean,
- 43:42Speaker 1: we obviously know he has a bad relationship with the
- 43:44Speaker 1: Packers front office. He'll just not keep them in the
- 43:47Speaker 1: loop and then just show up out of the blue
- 43:49Speaker 1: and be like, oh, yeah, we're fine. He's like a
- 43:50Speaker 1: toxic ex girlfriend that'll just break up with you one
- 43:53Speaker 1: thing and then come back the next week and be like,
- 43:55Speaker 1: what are you talking about? We didn't break up terrible.
- 43:57Speaker 1: I won't mention the name, but we have a I'm
- 44:00Speaker 1: a friend ish and him and Aaron Rodgers would play
- 44:04Speaker 1: golf together at some of these golfing events and Aaron
- 44:06Speaker 1: Rodgers was like, hey, here's my cell phone number, call me,
- 44:08Speaker 1: and my friend would like text him, you know, after
- 44:11Speaker 1: a good game, and never won'd hear anything back, Never
- 44:12Speaker 1: would hear anything back. And then finally sayon Rodgers again
- 44:15Speaker 1: at this course anyone, He's like, hey, man, I've to
- 44:17Speaker 1: text a few times and Aaron's like, yeah, I changed
- 44:19Speaker 1: my number, and he goes, oh cool, what's it? Never
- 44:20Speaker 1: goes well, if I wanted you to have it, i'd've
- 44:22Speaker 1: given it to you. And so it's like that that
- 44:24Speaker 1: kind of vibe. I don't know Aaron Rodgers, but he
- 44:28Speaker 1: pulled the Adam schafter lose my number, yeah, or like
- 44:31Speaker 1: you never had it, so agains you can't find it,
- 44:34Speaker 1: So you know, I get it. He is still still
- 44:37Speaker 1: it feels like he's a hundred years old, but he's
- 44:39Speaker 1: still really good. Like that's the only thing because he
- 44:41Speaker 1: almost willed your team back into the playoffs after having
- 44:44Speaker 1: a broken finger or messed up hand the whole year. Um,
- 44:47Speaker 1: so okay, Packers. Aside, who have you been able to
- 44:50Speaker 1: spend time with NFL wise, where you're like, man, this
- 44:52Speaker 1: is a reality. Like I took this thing from some
- 44:54Speaker 1: really smart content ideas too. Now I'm getting to do
- 44:57Speaker 1: things that I never kind of dreamed that I would
- 44:58Speaker 1: get to do. Recently, I had hosted the NFL Honors
- 45:02Speaker 1: for during the Super Bowl the Red carpet, and that
- 45:05Speaker 1: was that was incredible because guy like Dak Prescott came up,
- 45:08Speaker 1: George Kittle came up. It was just a you know,
- 45:10Speaker 1: a row of people that I make fun of basically
- 45:14Speaker 1: coming up the dog to me, and I remember a
- 45:17Speaker 1: lot of them. I'd ask, like Sauce Gardner, I was like,
- 45:20Speaker 1: because he came up and he's like, oh, I know you.
- 45:22Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, no, is this you know,
- 45:23Speaker 1: is this a good good or a bad thing? But
- 45:25Speaker 1: luckily he had a good year, so it was a
- 45:27Speaker 1: good thing for him. But like George Kittle came up
- 45:29Speaker 1: and said, you know, my wife's a big fan of
- 45:31Speaker 1: your video. Love your content, super great. So stuff like that,
- 45:34Speaker 1: when the players, I know the players have seen it,
- 45:36Speaker 1: even if they don't have a reaction to it, that
- 45:38Speaker 1: really solidifies that this is something and they're you know,
- 45:41Speaker 1: getting a kick out of it too. So the NFL
- 45:43Speaker 1: Honors was probably the coolest thing I've done so far,
- 45:45Speaker 1: other than obviously Super Bowls and stuff like that. Do
- 45:47Speaker 1: you ever feel because I definitely wouldn't say your stuff
- 45:51Speaker 1: as mean spirited at all. And if you don't know,
- 45:52Speaker 1: and if you don't follow her or watch her videos
- 45:54Speaker 1: on TikTok, it's quite funny and you're fairly making fun
- 45:57Speaker 1: of people. As a comedian, I do it to where
- 46:00Speaker 1: I probably go over the line a little bit, but
- 46:02Speaker 1: I never feel like your ears are out of line,
- 46:03Speaker 1: especially if it's a bad team or a badly run organization.
- 46:06Speaker 1: It's always about a badly run organization that everybody knows.
- 46:09Speaker 1: But you ever feel guilty where you're like, hmm, should
- 46:11Speaker 1: I have said that? You have a question? It absolutely not, no,
- 46:14Speaker 1: there was. Like you said at the beginning of the show.
- 46:16Speaker 1: I try to make the jokes tasteful to each fan base.
- 46:19Speaker 1: You know, you really have to do the research, and
- 46:21Speaker 1: people think, you know, maybe I have people that write
- 46:23Speaker 1: this for me. I write it all myself, but I
- 46:25Speaker 1: spend probably seven or eight hours that Monday morning after
- 46:29Speaker 1: the game. It's just researching what every fan base felt
- 46:31Speaker 1: about certain jokes. Because I could make all the jokes
- 46:34Speaker 1: in the world that I think are funny to me,
- 46:36Speaker 1: but I want to really hit the fan bases inside
- 46:38Speaker 1: Jokes in reference a game that have are a play
- 46:40Speaker 1: that happened back in the nineties, you know, or something
- 46:42Speaker 1: that's relevant to what happened this week. So it's a
- 46:45Speaker 1: lot of research and I try to make the jokes
- 46:47Speaker 1: like I don't joke about injuries or stuff like that,
- 46:49Speaker 1: but if you do something stupid on the field, I
- 46:51Speaker 1: will be calling it out for sure. Have you created
- 46:54Speaker 1: any fully and thought either A, it's not that funny,
- 46:57Speaker 1: I'm not going to post it, or be you posted
- 47:00Speaker 1: it and went man, people aren't feeling or getting what
- 47:02Speaker 1: I was saying by it, so let gonn go ahead
- 47:03Speaker 1: and pull it down. Now, It's never been something like that.
- 47:06Speaker 1: Sometimes the jokes people will miss diaby or I'll think
- 47:10Speaker 1: something's are really you know, it's really going to hit
- 47:11Speaker 1: and it doesn't. But usually there's so many jokes in
- 47:14Speaker 1: each video that someone hopefully we'll find something funny that
- 47:18Speaker 1: fits what they wanted to hear. So luckily, knock on
- 47:21Speaker 1: Wood people have been super supportive and great about the
- 47:24Speaker 1: content and they really like it so far. So you
- 47:26Speaker 1: went to school to do sports broadcasting. I did, yes,
- 47:30Speaker 1: with what in mind? Specifically, you went in to be
- 47:32Speaker 1: in what area? That's a good question, m I studied
- 47:36Speaker 1: sports broadcasting. I went to Grand Valley up in northern
- 47:39Speaker 1: Michigan and they had a I mean, the big football program.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Matthew Judohn went there, so that's our claimed fame. But
- 47:45Speaker 1: I kind of went in not really knowing. I knew
- 47:48Speaker 1: I wanted to get to the next level. I knew
- 47:49Speaker 1: I wanted to be at ESPN or some higher network,
- 47:52Speaker 1: which is absolutely amazing looking back, and I tell everybody this,
- 47:54Speaker 1: You know, if you have this goal in mind, it
- 47:57Speaker 1: totally solidifies that you can that you can get there
- 47:59Speaker 1: to me, because I always had that goal up there,
- 48:02Speaker 1: and little did I know social media would be the
- 48:03Speaker 1: way to get there. And I didn't know that for
- 48:05Speaker 1: so long because it wasn't as big in collegege obviously,
- 48:08Speaker 1: and then it progressively got bigger and bigger, and COVID
- 48:11Speaker 1: really opened it up, and I thought, Okay, now is
- 48:12Speaker 1: the chance that I have to get on social media
- 48:15Speaker 1: and use that as my tool to kind of climb
- 48:17Speaker 1: the ladder a little bit and reach out to more
- 48:18Speaker 1: and more people. I think my goal wasn't really sideline stuff.
- 48:22Speaker 1: It was more hosting or I wanted to bring something
- 48:25Speaker 1: different to the industry, So I hopefully am doing that
- 48:28Speaker 1: through humor. When you started doing this on TikTok, were
- 48:32Speaker 1: you doing it with Okay, there's going to be an
- 48:34Speaker 1: end of this. I'm gonna do this and I'm going
- 48:36Speaker 1: to do videos and be able to show this to
- 48:37Speaker 1: people like this is what I'm good at. Or was
- 48:39Speaker 1: it just all you doing something you'd love to do
- 48:41Speaker 1: for fun and it just so happened to blow up. Yeah,
- 48:44Speaker 1: it pretty much was the ladder. I didn't really play
- 48:46Speaker 1: on like the first video, the Big ten video that
- 48:48Speaker 1: took off for me. I didn't script that or anything.
- 48:51Speaker 1: I just, you know, kind of came from the heart
- 48:53Speaker 1: and put the video together and put it on TikTok
- 48:56Speaker 1: and someone else had put it on Twitter, and that's
- 48:58Speaker 1: what blew up and overnight had two million views. I
- 49:02Speaker 1: could not believe that that many people wanted that kind
- 49:04Speaker 1: of humor and that that sports comedy. But I think
- 49:08Speaker 1: we really needed it during COVID because nobody was sports
- 49:10Speaker 1: were gone and nobody was really laughing about stuff. So
- 49:12Speaker 1: I think it just was the right time. But I
- 49:14Speaker 1: had no intention of doing the first couple of tiktoks
- 49:17Speaker 1: that I did and having them reached that many people. Yeah,
- 49:20Speaker 1: I think it just happened the way it needed to happen,
- 49:22Speaker 1: but definitely wasn't on the top of my mind for sure.
- 49:25Speaker 1: When I watch your videos, I guess I think a
- 49:27Speaker 1: little more granularly too, about actually the effort you're putting
- 49:30Speaker 1: into them. And sometimes you have all these different clothes
- 49:32Speaker 1: and I'm like, does she have to buy all these
- 49:33Speaker 1: team clothes for this video or these team had so
- 49:37Speaker 1: and are they now sending them to you to use?
- 49:39Speaker 1: Like what is that situation? Yes, Yes, for the first
- 49:43Speaker 1: couple of videos, I had, you know, the old paid
- 49:46Speaker 1: manning jerseys to for the Colts and try to scrounge
- 49:49Speaker 1: around and find random jerseys my brother used to have,
- 49:51Speaker 1: and then for the rest of them, I tape on
- 49:52Speaker 1: a logo and then for a while I bought a
- 49:55Speaker 1: couple or teams would give them to me, probably hoping
- 49:59Speaker 1: I would beat icer to their team. And but then
- 50:01Speaker 1: some teams, like the Jets, it just made sense to
- 50:03Speaker 1: have a half taped on logo falling off it just
- 50:07Speaker 1: for them, So a lot of the time I didn't
- 50:09Speaker 1: get jerseys, But then the team's kind of got smart
- 50:11Speaker 1: because the fans would start comment team saying, you know,
- 50:13Speaker 1: tagging the Bengals saying you got to get her a
- 50:15Speaker 1: shirt like this looks ridiculous. We're not being well represented
- 50:17Speaker 1: in the meeting. So then teams kind of got picked
- 50:19Speaker 1: up on that and started sending me stuff. So I'm
- 50:21Speaker 1: pretty sure I have a jersey for every team. I
- 50:24Speaker 1: don't think there's one that I don't have one for.
- 50:25Speaker 1: So let's talk about the Dallas Cowboys for a second
- 50:28Speaker 1: and what's happening there at running back and Zeke is
- 50:31Speaker 1: obviously not going to be there, but you know what,
- 50:34Speaker 1: what are they going to do in Dallas? Is it
- 50:35Speaker 1: all going to be Tony Pollard even coming off the injury. Yeah.
- 50:39Speaker 1: I think I tweeted out too when Zeke was getting
- 50:42Speaker 1: released that if anybody need a good center that you know,
- 50:45Speaker 1: that's the time to pau. Yeah. I love Tony Pollard.
- 50:48Speaker 1: I absolutely loved him, and I think the only reason
- 50:51Speaker 1: he didn't get the credibility that he deserved was because
- 50:55Speaker 1: when a franchise loves Zeke so much and their owner
- 50:57Speaker 1: overpays him to stick around. The man still hasn't taken
- 51:01Speaker 1: off the Cowboys from his social media sites. By the way, Oh,
- 51:03Speaker 1: I didn't know that really. Yes, I don't know what's
- 51:07Speaker 1: going on over there, But yeah, I think a lot
- 51:09Speaker 1: of the way. I think what you do is you
- 51:10Speaker 1: test out, not test out because he's kind of already
- 51:12Speaker 1: been tested. But give it, you know, put the weight
- 51:14Speaker 1: of the team on Tony Pollard. See if he can
- 51:16Speaker 1: handle it. Consider a backup. I have no problem in
- 51:19Speaker 1: putting all my faith in Tony Pollard, for sure. I
- 51:21Speaker 1: love how are you getting, like brands reaching out to
- 51:24Speaker 1: you now to do big sponsorships because now you're like,
- 51:27Speaker 1: you know, you're the cool new sports person. Is it
- 51:31Speaker 1: just crazy when you get a call, I'm like, hey,
- 51:33Speaker 1: when I give you so many thousand dollars to show
- 51:34Speaker 1: up at this event, it is pretty wild. Yes. I
- 51:37Speaker 1: hopefully never will get to that influencer status where I'm
- 51:40Speaker 1: taking that taking it for granted, Um we did so
- 51:43Speaker 1: the red carpet that I did with NFL Honors was
- 51:45Speaker 1: with Xfinity. So bigger brands like that reaching out make
- 51:48Speaker 1: me realize this is a this is a big thing.
- 51:50Speaker 1: So that's pretty cool. But yeah, I'm hopefully still staying grounded.
- 51:54Speaker 1: What about the Super Bowl? Did you went this last year? Right?
- 51:58Speaker 1: I did? First time? No, this was my second super Bowl.
- 52:01Speaker 1: The first one was the Rams Bengals one the year before.
- 52:04Speaker 1: So when you go to the super Bowl, I mean
- 52:06Speaker 1: especially your first one, because I've been to a couple too,
- 52:08Speaker 1: and I was just like, Wow, this is crazy super Bowl.
- 52:09Speaker 1: So cool. Then the second time you go, even though
- 52:11Speaker 1: you're working, it's cool. But like Darren, enough hardcore fans
- 52:14Speaker 1: there for it to be like a like a great
- 52:16Speaker 1: sporting experience. Do you back me up on that or
- 52:18Speaker 1: are you like, you're kind of an idiot. I would
- 52:21Speaker 1: never say that to you. Um, yeah, I see what
- 52:24Speaker 1: you're saying. It's it's just a it's an atmosphere all
- 52:28Speaker 1: all in its own. Like I think the majority of
- 52:30Speaker 1: fans that were in attendance wanted to see Rihanna last year,
- 52:33Speaker 1: which kind of kind of put a damper on the
- 52:35Speaker 1: whole fan aspect of it. Um but Eagles. But I
- 52:37Speaker 1: will say the Chiefs fans I have an issue with
- 52:41Speaker 1: because they just always find something wrong with They're in
- 52:45Speaker 1: my dms all the time, like, oh you didn't say this, Okay,
- 52:47Speaker 1: calm down, all right. You have Pat Mahomes. Eagles fans,
- 52:50Speaker 1: on the other hand, are hilariously comical. I just love
- 52:53Speaker 1: everything about them. Um, and they were rowdy at the
- 52:56Speaker 1: super Bowl. I will tell you that they were. They
- 52:58Speaker 1: definitely carry their weight there. So I could depends on
- 53:00Speaker 1: the fan bases that come to the super Bowl. So
- 53:02Speaker 1: I half agree with you on that. I'll take it.
- 53:04Speaker 1: Do you have a list of ideas in your phone
- 53:06Speaker 1: about future bits that you want to do? How do
- 53:09Speaker 1: you creatively come up or keep up with what you
- 53:12Speaker 1: want to do and then find a time to do it?
- 53:13Speaker 1: A lot of it too, following kind of the trends
- 53:15Speaker 1: on social media and TikTok. There's so many. You know,
- 53:18Speaker 1: there's a new trend every week, so I'll try to
- 53:20Speaker 1: in the hardest part about the content that I do
- 53:22Speaker 1: is staying relevant to what's going on. So if I
- 53:25Speaker 1: put out a video tomorrow, I have to know, you know,
- 53:28Speaker 1: what happened in the Lakers game last night, or whatever
- 53:29Speaker 1: trending topic is happening to try and incorporate it into
- 53:32Speaker 1: the video. So staying on top of the trends is
- 53:34Speaker 1: really big, and I'll put I'll put some notes in
- 53:38Speaker 1: my phone, or like different NFL draft news that pops up,
- 53:41Speaker 1: I'll put those notes and therefore, when I do my
- 53:42Speaker 1: NFL draft video, hitt and hint, there will be a
- 53:44Speaker 1: draft video. But yeah, it's just kind of all were
- 53:46Speaker 1: staying up with what's trending and what's happening on social media.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Are you feeling pressure because you have been such a
- 53:51Speaker 1: success and your stuff has been seen a lot and
- 53:54Speaker 1: shared a lot that you've got to maintain some level
- 53:57Speaker 1: of quality? Like is there a pressure there or are
- 54:00Speaker 1: you still just free and easy and if it happens,
- 54:02Speaker 1: it happens. There was more pressure honestly at the start
- 54:05Speaker 1: when I first was doing I did the conference videos
- 54:07Speaker 1: after the Big Ten because that was, you know, the
- 54:10Speaker 1: first one did so well. I didn't want to decline
- 54:12Speaker 1: from there. But now it's just got to the point
- 54:15Speaker 1: where I'm having as much fun doing them as people
- 54:17Speaker 1: are hopefully watching them. So and I feel really confident
- 54:20Speaker 1: with the content I put out, and I know what
- 54:22Speaker 1: people want now and I know what I can do
- 54:24Speaker 1: for my aspect or from my side of things, So
- 54:26Speaker 1: I try to just put out good content. Hopefully people
- 54:29Speaker 1: keep liking it. If not, then I'll find something else
- 54:32Speaker 1: to do. Hopefully, have you had any because I know
- 54:34Speaker 1: you're doing work with Valleys right now, is that. Have
- 54:36Speaker 1: you had like a bunch of networks reached out and
- 54:38Speaker 1: be like, hey, we want to actually hire you to
- 54:40Speaker 1: be something and you're kind of just figuring out what
- 54:42Speaker 1: you want to do. What's that situation right now? Yeah,
- 54:44Speaker 1: that's been the hardest thing with this job, because you know,
- 54:46Speaker 1: the bigger than network is the more I might limit
- 54:48Speaker 1: the jokes I can make. And there's been sometimes where
- 54:52Speaker 1: I did content with ESPN. I did a video for
- 54:55Speaker 1: them with NFC East, and there was I probably had
- 54:59Speaker 1: ten joke that they had to take out because it wasn't,
- 55:02Speaker 1: you know, a part of their image. Not that they
- 55:03Speaker 1: were bad jokes, but they And that's what's kind of
- 55:05Speaker 1: funny about my content is it's borderline. You know, it's right,
- 55:08Speaker 1: it's right on that line, like is this gonna annoy
- 55:11Speaker 1: somebuddy or is it funny soum. So that's been the
- 55:14Speaker 1: tough thing with with you know, other networks, And I'm
- 55:16Speaker 1: sure there is a way to fit me into it.
- 55:18Speaker 1: We just have to figure that out. And Valley's has
- 55:20Speaker 1: been great so far because they're very kind of chill
- 55:23Speaker 1: and laid back with my content. So I'm definitely in
- 55:26Speaker 1: talks with a lot of different people and networks and
- 55:29Speaker 1: trying to work through how we can fit me in there. Well, congratulations,
- 55:33Speaker 1: it's really cool to see your success come off you
- 55:35Speaker 1: just put it in the work and having an idea
- 55:37Speaker 1: and staying consistent with it. I mean, that's the hardest
- 55:39Speaker 1: thing is to have quality work done consistently, especially when
- 55:43Speaker 1: it's you have to be funny, and you've done it.
- 55:45Speaker 1: I admire it. Congratulations on all your success, and you
- 55:48Speaker 1: know I'll be watching your videos and rooting you on. Annie.
- 55:51Speaker 1: Thanks a lot for being with us today. Of course,
- 55:54Speaker 1: thanks for having me on. All right by Annie. Thanks
- 55:57Speaker 1: Annie for coming on. You guys, go follow her again.
- 56:00Speaker 1: I was a fan before we got her on. Good
- 56:01Speaker 1: get Kevin, Yep, that's good. That's that's Kevin running running,
- 56:04Speaker 1: just messaging people being like, want to come on, good
- 56:06Speaker 1: old DMS. That's crazy. Let's wrap it up here. Final thoughts, Kevin.
- 56:12Speaker 1: We've talked about it a lot already. The NBA Playoffs.
- 56:14Speaker 1: I'm excited Celtics, you know, two seed, big expectations, big hopes.
- 56:18Speaker 1: But I'm not gonna lie I still just think the
- 56:21Speaker 1: playoffs are a little too long. I will agree with that.
- 56:23Speaker 1: And we still have to wait two and a half
- 56:25Speaker 1: months for the finals just to start. And I think
- 56:27Speaker 1: we should make these first round I like the play ins,
- 56:30Speaker 1: I'm good with those, but the first rounds back to
- 56:31Speaker 1: five games? What about three? That would be even more,
- 56:35Speaker 1: that'd be awesome. Three then five than seven? Love it?
- 56:38Speaker 1: Then twenty one for the final. Yea, we still get
- 56:43Speaker 1: our two and a half months in, but it's just
- 56:44Speaker 1: one marathon of the season. Raid, I'm gonna come over
- 56:47Speaker 1: to you, all right. Reid runs video for us. Now.
- 56:50Speaker 1: He's been on the show a bunch, but Reid's had
- 56:51Speaker 1: nine jobs on this show so far, making graphics, making
- 56:54Speaker 1: the theme songs, now running videos. He's quietly the MVP here.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Read what do you have? All right? I will I'm
- 57:01Speaker 1: still looking for golf clubs, so I wanted to get
- 57:02Speaker 1: your opinion. I'm looking at putters, but like one, like
- 57:06Speaker 1: a Scottie Cameron putter is like four hundred and fifty bucks,
- 57:09Speaker 1: and then you know you could get a Kmart putter
- 57:11Speaker 1: that's like one hundred and fifty bucks. Like, is there
- 57:13Speaker 1: really that big of a difference between the two, because
- 57:16Speaker 1: I mean it's I mean, I think you're paying that's
- 57:18Speaker 1: a great question. I think you're paying for quality like
- 57:21Speaker 1: last longer. But like I've seen dudes that will go
- 57:23Speaker 1: out there and absolutely crush me with like a fifty
- 57:27Speaker 1: dollars putter. The answer is for you, for us, for
- 57:31Speaker 1: anybody even a little better than us, There probably is
- 57:33Speaker 1: not a whole lot of difference, but it looks cool.
- 57:37Speaker 1: It's same reason we get nice shoes. So I'm not
- 57:39Speaker 1: saying don't get a Scotti camera putter, but I know
- 57:41Speaker 1: you're still trying to, I don't know, collect all your
- 57:43Speaker 1: acorns so you can buy a set of clubs. For sure,
- 57:45Speaker 1: I would not buy I would not worry about pam
- 57:47Speaker 1: five hundred bucks for a putter. I feel that I
- 57:48Speaker 1: would get a cheap putter or a fifty dollars putter.
- 57:53Speaker 1: I don't know if Kmart has good putters or not,
- 57:55Speaker 1: but I would get a fifty dollar putter. That's gonna
- 57:57Speaker 1: be just fine. It's gonna actually be good. My question, though,
- 57:59Speaker 1: is more like do I like the mallet? Do I
- 58:01Speaker 1: like that? Because they're all the bigs I get? Do
- 58:02Speaker 1: you want the big one? You want the tall one
- 58:04Speaker 1: you want to grip to be a lot of preference.
- 58:07Speaker 1: And so when I got my latest putter from Cobra,
- 58:09Speaker 1: it was one of those big head ones, not a map,
- 58:14Speaker 1: the kind that you have to put the cover on,
- 58:16Speaker 1: that's like at the flap on it whatever that one is,
- 58:19Speaker 1: um And you know, I don't like that big of
- 58:21Speaker 1: a putter. I do now, I sti't like the well
- 58:23Speaker 1: called the mini golf putter, just that shape. It's not
- 58:26Speaker 1: just that one little blade, but I like that small
- 58:28Speaker 1: that just the little head better than I do the
- 58:30Speaker 1: full one of the big line on it. Yeah. So
- 58:32Speaker 1: to me, that's more of the question than how much
- 58:34Speaker 1: should you spend, especially if you're just looking to buy
- 58:38Speaker 1: clubs and you're not you're on a budget, but you're
- 58:41Speaker 1: not on a budget. Yeah, I mean, you don't want
- 58:43Speaker 1: to spend a whole bunch. You can buy them, but
- 58:45Speaker 1: you don't want to have to you're not a semi budget. Yeah,
- 58:49Speaker 1: So I wan gonta worry about grips and putter. I
- 58:51Speaker 1: wouldn't worry about that, Irons, I would worry about that.
- 58:54Speaker 1: That's my answer there. And I'm gonna go to Jerseys
- 58:58Speaker 1: in the NBA they released the top ten list. Who's
- 59:00Speaker 1: number one? It's freaking Lebron course again, the greatest player
- 59:06Speaker 1: of all time and he's still number one twenty years
- 59:08Speaker 1: into the league. Lebron at one, Curries at two, Tatums
- 59:11Speaker 1: at three, Yannis is at four, Lucas at five, Katie's
- 59:14Speaker 1: at six, Bookers at seven, Jaws at eight, Dames at nine,
- 59:18Speaker 1: and Kyrie is at ten. I am surprised that Kyrie
- 59:21Speaker 1: is still at tens. That's probably the most surprising thing
- 59:23Speaker 1: to me. Yeah, but I just want to shout out
- 59:25Speaker 1: Lebron again, twenty years in the league and the Lakers
- 59:27Speaker 1: gonna win the whole thing. I've been saying it the
- 59:29Speaker 1: whole time. But he's got the number one jersey. That's it.
