- 0:57Speaker 1: It's always gonna lead you somewhere, even when you least expected,
- 1:02Speaker 1: even when you don't see it coming. Sometimes things can
- 1:05Speaker 1: knock you down to the point where you don't know
- 1:08Speaker 1: whether you're going to get back up again, Like Humpty Dumpty.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Like Jack and Jill, they went up to Hell to
- 1:15Speaker 1: fetch a pail of water. Jack fell down and broke
- 1:17Speaker 1: his crown, and Jill came tumbling after. Now, this particular
- 1:23Speaker 1: podcast is about dealing with you as an individual and
- 1:30Speaker 1: what you need to heal from. This season has been
- 1:33Speaker 1: about business recovery, and I think I need to go
- 1:37Speaker 1: a little bit more in detail about business recovery. But
- 1:42Speaker 1: before I do, if you want to be a guest
- 1:44Speaker 1: on my podcast, if you want to sponsor my podcast,
- 1:48Speaker 1: if you like for me to promote any products and services,

- 2:11Speaker 1: h A dot M A r I A M A
- 2:14Speaker 1: zero one at gmail dot com. Now, what is financial
- 2:21Speaker 1: healing and recovering me? Well, this is when you lose
- 2:26Speaker 1: your job. This is when you hate your job. This
- 2:31Speaker 1: is when you end up quitting your job and one
- 2:35Speaker 1: day you just wake up and just say, I don't
- 2:37Speaker 1: want to go to work. I don't want to work tomorrow.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I ain't trying to go to work. I ain't trying
- 2:42Speaker 1: to go You wake up one day and you realize
- 2:47Speaker 1: your whole entire life has passed you by and all
- 2:51Speaker 1: you did was work, work, work, work, work work. Now,
- 2:55Speaker 1: on the flip side of that, you could have worked
- 2:58Speaker 1: a company for a number of years and you still
- 3:01Speaker 1: ain't got a promotion. You work this job and you
- 3:04Speaker 1: still ain't been able to level up. You still are
- 3:09Speaker 1: the one that's working two or three jobs. You're mister
- 3:12Speaker 1: and misus dependable, and they keep saying to you, I'm
- 3:16Speaker 1: going to promote you, but they never do. They put
- 3:19Speaker 1: everybody else before you. As a matter of fact, they
- 3:23Speaker 1: have you training other people when it's not even your job.
- 3:28Speaker 1: But you only get paid once for one job, but
- 3:33Speaker 1: doing multiple. It could be that you went to work
- 3:38Speaker 1: and you were told old that you had to go
- 3:41Speaker 1: to a meeting. You didn't know why, and they told
- 3:45Speaker 1: you we have to let you go. We're downsizing. It's
- 3:50Speaker 1: nothing you did wrong, but your services are no longer needed.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Does any of this relate to a lot of y'all,
- 3:57Speaker 1: because I'm sure it does. There's not one person that
- 4:00Speaker 1: hasn't went through one of these three equations. Well, it's
- 4:05Speaker 1: not just that. It also can be you're married, you
- 4:10Speaker 1: are the housewife, your husband was the one going to work,
- 4:15Speaker 1: your husband comes home and tells you he lost his job,
- 4:19Speaker 1: or even you the one that told your wife you
- 4:22Speaker 1: lost your job. And now y'all are in a situation
- 4:26Speaker 1: where not only you can't pay your bills, but you
- 4:29Speaker 1: might be evicted, you might be homeless. There are some
- 4:33Speaker 1: people out here who actually are homeless for the same
- 4:35Speaker 1: situation I'm talking about. Well, healing and recovery when it
- 4:40Speaker 1: comes to that is when you have to figure out
- 4:44Speaker 1: how to get yourself back up and brush yourself back
- 4:46Speaker 1: up and put yourself back together again. Now, for some people,
- 4:51Speaker 1: they find another job and they go back to another job.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Others of you will end up starting a business. COVID
- 5:00Speaker 1: nineteen is the greatest example of this, and this was
- 5:04Speaker 1: when a lot of people started becoming content creators. A
- 5:08Speaker 1: lot of people started building businesses and brands, and it
- 5:14Speaker 1: was at all time high. Not only that, you have
- 5:18Speaker 1: a lot of big businesses that are going out of business.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Spirit is an example of that. Spirit is out of business.
- 5:29Speaker 1: You have Delta Blue that is going out of business.
- 5:36Speaker 1: So yeah, this it's insane, but it's happening. Hold on
- 5:43Speaker 1: one second. I'm sorry I had to send something to
- 5:46Speaker 1: somebody anyway. But like I said, you have a lot
- 5:51Speaker 1: of businesses like bed bath and beyond that went out
- 5:56Speaker 1: of business, came out, went out of business, pay Less
- 5:59Speaker 1: went out of business. There's a lot of people that
- 6:05Speaker 1: are in big business that unfortunately have to close down
- 6:09Speaker 1: a lot of stores. The sad part about it was
- 6:12Speaker 1: spirit the employees weren't even notified. They found that on
- 6:17Speaker 1: social media. Some of these people have families, just bought
- 6:22Speaker 1: a house. Now they have no job. Some people don't
- 6:27Speaker 1: even have retirement. Some people by the time they turn
- 6:31Speaker 1: fifty are not gonna have retirement because they will constantly
- 6:35Speaker 1: let go. Now, I just got a phone call today
- 6:38Speaker 1: right about somebody calling me about a position for a
- 6:43Speaker 1: particular job. Eighteen dollars an hour. Now mind you. I
- 6:46Speaker 1: got ten years, almost eleven years of billion coding and
- 6:52Speaker 1: you just wanna give me eighteen dollars an hour eighteen
- 6:55Speaker 1: now mind you? Where I'm at now, I I probably
- 6:59Speaker 1: could make it up eighteen nineteen dollars an doll but
- 7:02Speaker 1: I couldnot make it in Florida with eighteen nineteen dollars
- 7:05Speaker 1: an hour. There's nowhere in the world where I was
- 7:07Speaker 1: at New Mind y'all. As y'all don't know, I lost
- 7:11Speaker 1: my father, Okay, and I'm back home with my mom
- 7:16Speaker 1: helping her out. Okay. Am I gonna be in North
- 7:20Speaker 1: Carolina forever? No, I'm not, but I will be here
- 7:24Speaker 1: long enough for me to make sure that she could
- 7:27Speaker 1: before I go back to my life now. I also
- 7:32Speaker 1: got a phone call today about me creating my own
- 7:36Speaker 1: travel agency. I'm so excited about that, and I pulled
- 7:42Speaker 1: the trigger on it, and I'm so happy about that
- 7:48Speaker 1: because I cannot wait to start making money off my
- 7:52Speaker 1: travel agency. So what I've been doing today is I've
- 7:55Speaker 1: been posting my vacations from when I was in Margaritaville.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna spend the whole week posting everything that I
- 8:03Speaker 1: can post so I can get ready for my trip
- 8:07Speaker 1: to Myrtle Beach. And then she said, as far as
- 8:10Speaker 1: my cruise is concerned, I might be able to change
- 8:14Speaker 1: it where I'll be able to get discounts as a
- 8:21Speaker 1: travel agent. I might be able to do that and
- 8:23Speaker 1: get paid for it. Now, mind you, Like I said,
- 8:26Speaker 1: when it comes down to healing and recovery. Financially, that
- 8:33Speaker 1: could be many different things, everything from what you did
- 8:38Speaker 1: to what is beyond your control now, depending on if
- 8:42Speaker 1: it was beyond your control, if you were manipulated, bamboozer
- 8:47Speaker 1: and letters stray, or you just stupidly messed up your finances,
- 8:53Speaker 1: that's something I can't determine. But we can talk about
- 8:57Speaker 1: each one. Because the way you go about getting back, well,
- 9:04Speaker 1: let me stop there. That's the first thing you got
- 9:07Speaker 1: to not do. Don't say the word get back. You
- 9:11Speaker 1: can't never get back anything. You can't if you let's say,
- 9:17Speaker 1: for example, somebody broke in your house, right and they
- 9:20Speaker 1: broke into your house and they took everything. Are you
- 9:23Speaker 1: gonna get back any of the stuff that you lost? No?
- 9:27Speaker 1: But will you get something new? Yes, So you will
- 9:32Speaker 1: never get back what you lost. You may not in
- 9:36Speaker 1: the next role that you get into get paid the
- 9:39Speaker 1: same amount as you did your last job. You either
- 9:43Speaker 1: donna get paid more or you gonna get paid less,
- 9:47Speaker 1: depending on what job you do. Now back to the
- 9:50Speaker 1: staff of company. Stafford Company told me that I were
- 9:54Speaker 1: for six months with the chance of extension. So in
- 9:58Speaker 1: other words, there's no I guarantee that I'm gonna get paid,
- 10:02Speaker 1: that I'm gonna get on permanent, it will just keep
- 10:05Speaker 1: on being extended. Well, guess what. That's what they're doing
- 10:09Speaker 1: in the medical field and in light industrial. Now mind you,
- 10:14Speaker 1: they're not doing this in fast food, they're not doing
- 10:18Speaker 1: this in grocery stores, and they're certainly not doing it
- 10:21Speaker 1: in retail. But they are doing it. When it comes
- 10:25Speaker 1: down to office jobs, you have to go through a
- 10:29Speaker 1: staffing company. Most of these jobs are not even hiring
- 10:35Speaker 1: for you to work for the company. Why because then
- 10:40Speaker 1: it's easier to let you go, and after you finished
- 10:45Speaker 1: working for them, you may be out of a job
- 10:48Speaker 1: like I have been since January. Now, mind you, I'm
- 10:53Speaker 1: okay as far as financially, because God is with me
- 10:57Speaker 1: every step of the way. Or whatever your religion or
- 11:00Speaker 1: what spirituality is, you're gonna be fine because you know
- 11:04Speaker 1: that God got you or whatever yahweh all lie, whatever
- 11:07Speaker 1: you want to call, the Higher Power got you. Now,
- 11:12Speaker 1: mind you. I could go back to work and I'm
- 11:17Speaker 1: just sitting here debating on that. But then I thought
- 11:20Speaker 1: about it and I was like, you know what, I
- 11:23Speaker 1: have a cruise coming up in January. Chris Brown, an
- 11:30Speaker 1: usher concert in December. Do I really want to go
- 11:35Speaker 1: back to work? The answer is no, I don't. Now,
- 11:41Speaker 1: with my travel agency, I can do that from home.
- 11:45Speaker 1: It's mine. I can set it up and make money,
- 11:51Speaker 1: paint my bills and be good and be fine. But
- 11:58Speaker 1: here's a part about it. Am I gonna make money
- 12:01Speaker 1: off the gate? Probably not, because I have to build
- 12:05Speaker 1: an audience, which is why I started my travel blog
- 12:10Speaker 1: because I always knew I was gonna go back to it.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I used to be a travel agent, but the last
- 12:15Speaker 1: travel agency didn't really help us set up everything. We
- 12:19Speaker 1: had to do everything on our own. That was in
- 12:22Speaker 1: terms of the problem. So luckily I already have a
- 12:30Speaker 1: channel for my actual travel agency. I also have jewelry
- 12:37Speaker 1: that I have to sell and I'm about to go
- 12:40Speaker 1: through that when I in a little bit. Then I
- 12:44Speaker 1: have starting candles and body butters and skin care and
- 12:50Speaker 1: hair care. I want to get into that motivational speaking
- 12:55Speaker 1: those things. So at the end of the day, I said,
- 13:00Speaker 1: and then writing two books. So in the end, do
- 13:06Speaker 1: I need to have an income while I'm doing all
- 13:09Speaker 1: of this, Yes, that would be the only reason I'm
- 13:12Speaker 1: going back to work, just so I would have an income.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Just for that purpose. But do I have to? No,
- 13:22Speaker 1: I don't. I don't. I'm good as far as money.
- 13:28Speaker 1: So if I didn't want to work, I wouldn't have to.
- 13:29Speaker 1: If I didn't want to. But until I build everything
- 13:34Speaker 1: the way I want it, I would have to. And
- 13:37Speaker 1: then when I started making a certain amount, then I
- 13:40Speaker 1: would quit. Now, with financial healing and recovery, you have
- 13:47Speaker 1: to learn from your mistakes, so you do have to
- 13:51Speaker 1: go back and try to understand why is it that
- 13:56Speaker 1: every time you go work for a job you and
- 14:00Speaker 1: up losing your job. Now, that could be the following reasons.
- 14:07Speaker 1: The managers have an attitude. You're doing multiple jobs, no
- 14:12Speaker 1: work life balance, no insurance, no PTO, no retirement. You're
- 14:20Speaker 1: not getting any of those things. Now, imagine making eighteen
- 14:25Speaker 1: fifteen to eighteen dollars an hour, even thirteen even seven
- 14:29Speaker 1: twenty five, and you're trying to get retirement. How can
- 14:33Speaker 1: you put retirement in when you don't even have the
- 14:35Speaker 1: money to put into retirement. Social Security is not gonna
- 14:40Speaker 1: be that much when you retire, Okay, not that much
- 14:44Speaker 1: at all. My dad was being taxed on his retirement
- 14:48Speaker 1: and his Social security because he was making too much money.
- 14:53Speaker 1: That's the crazy part. They will tax you and you
- 14:57Speaker 1: have to file every single year. So is it worth
- 15:01Speaker 1: it working all these jobs into retirement. I'm starting to
- 15:05Speaker 1: question that because nobody is gonna make past thirty dollars
- 15:10Speaker 1: an hour before they die. The way this society is
- 15:15Speaker 1: because it isn't about anybody growing, evolving, elevating, none of that.
- 15:19Speaker 1: It's about you working for someone else and making someone
- 15:24Speaker 1: else money, when the original reason for you working a
- 15:29Speaker 1: job was to have something of your own in the
- 15:34Speaker 1: first place. If you go back in time, people used
- 15:39Speaker 1: to work based upon what their family was good at.
- 15:44Speaker 1: So if your family was good at farming, then that's
- 15:48Speaker 1: what you did. Even if you had the capabilities of
- 15:53Speaker 1: other things, you still were only supposed to be a farmer.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Anything else would be disrespect to your family. Whereas now
- 16:04Speaker 1: you have small business owners, you have people that are
- 16:08Speaker 1: trying because if you go to the TikTok shop, right,
- 16:13Speaker 1: it used to be that when TikTok was owned by
- 16:17Speaker 1: the Chinese, there was a bunch of Chinese products own there.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Now recently I went on Timu and Sheene to go shopping,
- 16:29Speaker 1: and everything is an arm in the lad because of
- 16:32Speaker 1: teriffs tariffs. Vitamins used to be under ten dollars fifteen
- 16:39Speaker 1: at the most. Now it's almost twenty thirty dollars. You
- 16:47Speaker 1: can't get serious. But it is so when it comes
- 16:53Speaker 1: to recovery, even with this recession, this is it because
- 16:57Speaker 1: of the American people. It's because of a government that
- 17:02Speaker 1: basically spends money that they don't have, and we're the
- 17:08Speaker 1: ones dealing with the fallout, making the rich wealthier and
- 17:13Speaker 1: making them richer and making the poor poor and there
- 17:17Speaker 1: being no middle class. But the thing about it is,
- 17:20Speaker 1: these people voted for this. They voted for it, and
- 17:23Speaker 1: now that it's happening to them, now it's all of
- 17:26Speaker 1: a sudden, Oh well, now that's happening to us. When
- 17:31Speaker 1: are the poor people gonna fight? When are black people
- 17:34Speaker 1: gonna fight? Win? Are all the ninety two percent of
- 17:37Speaker 1: black women that voted for Kamala going to get up
- 17:41Speaker 1: and protest? Protest for? What? What was the protest for?
- 17:45Speaker 1: We did the right thing when we voted, and now
- 17:48Speaker 1: all these people that voted for this, now all of
- 17:51Speaker 1: a sudden now want to say, we want all the
- 17:54Speaker 1: people that voted for Kamala to get out in protest.
- 17:57Speaker 1: They want our protests so bad it ain't even funny
- 18:01Speaker 1: how bad they want this protest. But you might say,
- 18:05Speaker 1: what does any of this have to do with that?
- 18:07Speaker 1: It has everything to do with it. It's just like
- 18:10Speaker 1: they want you to be married, but they don't give
- 18:13Speaker 1: you the tools on how to go about being married.
- 18:16Speaker 1: They want you to have sex, but then you can't
- 18:17Speaker 1: talk about having sex because it'd be wrong talk about it.
- 18:22Speaker 1: So it's like that that old saying, look but don't touch, touch,
- 18:27Speaker 1: but don't taste. Do you remember who said that? Do
- 18:31Speaker 1: you remember when al when al Patinos said that the
- 18:34Speaker 1: Keanu reeves and the matrix and why I like to
- 18:37Speaker 1: use the matrix a lot. It's like saying, are you
- 18:40Speaker 1: gonna go down the red pill of destruction and disaster?
- 18:44Speaker 1: Or are you gonna go Are you gonna stand a
- 18:46Speaker 1: blue pill and just sit back and enjoy your piece
- 18:49Speaker 1: and quat and and leave well enough alone. Well I
- 18:52Speaker 1: choose to leave well enough alone. I choose stand a
- 18:55Speaker 1: blue pill, cause at the end of the day, everything
- 18:57Speaker 1: seems to be self destructing. It's bad when Jet Blue
- 19:02Speaker 1: is comeing out there going bankrupt. It is bad when
- 19:06Speaker 1: airplanes can't even fly because Canada is saying no, you
- 19:12Speaker 1: can't come through here. So if you trying to leave
- 19:16Speaker 1: from America to go to China or go anywhere, they're
- 19:23Speaker 1: saying you gotta go all the way around to get there.
- 19:27Speaker 1: So it's not the local flights that are being canceled,
- 19:32Speaker 1: it's the out of the country. It's tough that's being canceled.
- 19:36Speaker 1: That's what's going on, and that's crazy but not surprising.
- 19:43Speaker 1: So with everything that's going on right now, gas price
- 19:46Speaker 1: is being high, food being high, everything being high. This
- 19:51Speaker 1: is all a part of financial healing and recovery. How
- 19:56Speaker 1: do we heal from this? How do we come from this?
- 19:59Speaker 1: How do we go about anything? It's just like the
- 20:02Speaker 1: Chris Brown and Usher concert. Right people will talking about
- 20:09Speaker 1: putting credit cards in their kids' names. People will talking
- 20:13Speaker 1: about selling their housing, their cars to go to this concert.
- 20:18Speaker 1: The priority of it all is crazy to me. Luckily
- 20:22Speaker 1: for me, I have the money to go, so I'm good,
- 20:28Speaker 1: and got my hotel and got my flight, so were
- 20:34Speaker 1: good and got a cruise going on in January, and
- 20:39Speaker 1: ain't gonna spend two days in Miami either either when
- 20:44Speaker 1: I get there or I might stay for two days
- 20:47Speaker 1: when I leave. But I'm thinking about when I get there,
- 20:50Speaker 1: because I our cruise doesn't leave till Sunday, and I
- 20:58Speaker 1: might spend Friday and saturd in Miami. But anyway, like
- 21:03Speaker 1: I said, money is not gonna go with you when
- 21:08Speaker 1: you die, because it's not all these possessions you're gonna
- 21:11Speaker 1: get and going with you when you die. And as
- 21:15Speaker 1: somebody that is going through this currently now that my
- 21:18Speaker 1: father has passed away, trying to get stuff settled with
- 21:22Speaker 1: a house, two houses, and everything else, I'm learning a
- 21:27Speaker 1: lot about the importance of having a willing testament and
- 21:32Speaker 1: having a trust and having something put in place if
- 21:36Speaker 1: something happens. Saying that your child is not responsible for
- 21:41Speaker 1: any of your bills. Now a lot of people will
- 21:45Speaker 1: go get in the state and they'll put their selves
- 21:50Speaker 1: as the executive of the estate, not understanding that if
- 21:54Speaker 1: anything that that person owes falls on you and falls
- 21:59Speaker 1: on your credit. Matter of fact, to make to make
- 22:03Speaker 1: matters worse, I had Student Loans send me a letter
- 22:08Speaker 1: and I'm not working, and I went to try to
- 22:12Speaker 1: update my information. They told me my only option was
- 22:16Speaker 1: fifty seven dollars a month was the lowest that I
- 22:20Speaker 1: could pay till twenty forty, and I said, well, you
- 22:25Speaker 1: know what, since that's all I can afford, okay, cool,
- 22:30Speaker 1: fifty seven Dollarsand what people don't understand is when you
- 22:35Speaker 1: get away from society's standards, right, you realize that all
- 22:39Speaker 1: of this is a lie, going to school, getting an education.
- 22:43Speaker 1: It's all an illusion, which message which your consciousness. And
- 22:49Speaker 1: the crazy part is everything else gets wiped off within
- 22:52Speaker 1: seven years, but yet your student loans don't get wiped
- 22:57Speaker 1: off after seven years. Was even more crazy is on
- 23:01Speaker 1: your credit report, you will see where certain things are
- 23:04Speaker 1: taken off, but it's not showing when it comes to
- 23:08Speaker 1: student loans, it's not showing that they're crazy enough. Even
- 23:13Speaker 1: more insane, they take your actual debt that went to
- 23:20Speaker 1: the original company and now it's been moved. Mine's been
- 23:23Speaker 1: moved three times, three times, it's been moved every time.
- 23:27Speaker 1: These things, these these individual creditors, as far as the
- 23:31Speaker 1: ones that had our student loans now going through lawsuits.
- 23:36Speaker 1: They're now moving our student loans because they don't want
- 23:41Speaker 1: to pay them off, so they want to make sure
- 23:45Speaker 1: that we're not able to pay our student loans. Now
- 23:49Speaker 1: what's even more crazy is majority of people are not
- 23:53Speaker 1: even in this, in the job that they went to
- 23:57Speaker 1: school for, they're not even making enough money to pay
- 24:01Speaker 1: our student loans. If they really wanted to get rid
- 24:05Speaker 1: of debt, they could get rid of debt. If they
- 24:07Speaker 1: wanted to, they could wipe everybody's credit clean and say,
- 24:11Speaker 1: you know what, we're gonna not deal with student loans
- 24:15Speaker 1: or medical bills, but anything else, credit cards, anything that
- 24:20Speaker 1: you you know that you that you pretty much made yourself. Yes,
- 24:29Speaker 1: you're responsible, but a lot. And then it was even
- 24:34Speaker 1: more crazy. And this is more of a common sense
- 24:36Speaker 1: thing to me. I'm not the one that applied for
- 24:39Speaker 1: student loans. The school did. The school applied for student loans,
- 24:44Speaker 1: and yet you want me to pay for them. Then
- 24:48Speaker 1: you got people that's paying the amount that you would
- 24:53Speaker 1: pay for a mortgage. You got people out here that
- 25:00Speaker 1: and have refinanced their house. You got people out here
- 25:04Speaker 1: that pay off their house and then sell it. Why
- 25:10Speaker 1: when you can just by the land and sit on
- 25:15Speaker 1: turn out, keep the foundation of the house and then
- 25:18Speaker 1: build on it. It's crazy to me. It don't make
- 25:23Speaker 1: no sense to me. A lot of this don't make sense.
- 25:27Speaker 1: But you know it was since my dad passed away,
- 25:29Speaker 1: I've learned so much about finance I have. This is
- 25:36Speaker 1: why I'm paying off my car, because the longer you
- 25:41Speaker 1: don't pay it off, the more interest that falls on it.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Just pay it off. Just pay it off. That is
- 25:53Speaker 1: the best thing for you to do. Now. For me,
- 25:57Speaker 1: thank God for a firm. I don't know what I
- 26:00Speaker 1: would do without a firm. And now I'm about to
- 26:03Speaker 1: pay off some of my actual ones. I have about
- 26:09Speaker 1: to pay them off, and the only thing that would
- 26:11Speaker 1: be left is for some of the trips that I
- 26:14Speaker 1: had that I couldn't pay for the time that I'm
- 26:17Speaker 1: paying off now. But like I said, when you lead deserve,
- 26:20Speaker 1: not one single sanitary dime is going with you now,
- 26:24Speaker 1: one single sol bitter this property is going to you.
- 26:28Speaker 1: It will go right back to the government. That's what
- 26:31Speaker 1: will happen. My old thing is sometimes keeping the things
- 26:36Speaker 1: you have can be a value. Nobody's saying you shouldn't
- 26:41Speaker 1: move up, never will say that, but you always need
- 26:43Speaker 1: to have some of the safety net. Some people do
- 26:46Speaker 1: not have a safety net, so if anything happens, they
- 26:50Speaker 1: have somewhere to go. Thank god, me and my sister do.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Thank god, our our kids do. And we could have
- 26:57Speaker 1: sat there and said, you know what, we gonna sell
- 26:59Speaker 1: this house. We gonna sell the house, and we're not
- 27:03Speaker 1: gonna keep my dad's house. We decide to keep it.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Why because we're giving our niece and nephews a safety
- 27:10Speaker 1: net so if anything happens, they have somewhere to go.
- 27:15Speaker 1: If one of them lose they job, or even all
- 27:17Speaker 1: of them lose they job, they got somewhere to go.
- 27:22Speaker 1: They have somewhere to go. So I find it funny
- 27:29Speaker 1: every time I think about this to when I sit around,
- 27:33Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm gonna buy something, and now I'm asking
- 27:36Speaker 1: myself what do I buying it for? So now it's
- 27:39Speaker 1: not about buying something because I want it. I'm buying
- 27:42Speaker 1: it because of the purpose for it. I'm I'm up
- 27:44Speaker 1: here looking at products that I ain't even touched yet,
- 27:46Speaker 1: which I'm about to start touching now, and I'm like,
- 27:50Speaker 1: why am I buying more stuff? And I still got
- 27:51Speaker 1: this stuff sitting up here? Because we're buying things because
- 27:55Speaker 1: it's always being throwing our face to go buy something.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I'm buying something that God name moning for six thousand
- 28:01Speaker 1: dollars when I can get a Gucci perse for sixty
- 28:03Speaker 1: five dollars, I can go buy me a really really
- 28:07Speaker 1: good bag from Roses and not pay nowhere net that much.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Soe your priorities change when they come to financial healing,
- 28:18Speaker 1: it changes. So once you make it this time around,
- 28:24Speaker 1: you ain't going back to falling. And that's why when
- 28:27Speaker 1: you go back this time, you gonna build something that
- 28:31Speaker 1: is your safety net. You're gonna have a safety net.
- 28:34Speaker 1: So why you building your business and your brand. You're
- 28:37Speaker 1: gonna have a job when you okay to determine when
- 28:42Speaker 1: can you quit your job? Well, when you make calculate
- 28:47Speaker 1: all your bills. Calculate all your bills and then see
- 28:53Speaker 1: as far as how much it's going to be per month.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Once you do that, then you say, not only that,
- 29:04Speaker 1: how much money are you gonna have to put back
- 29:06Speaker 1: into your business? For me, it's twenty thousand, twenty thousand.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Be good for me because there'll be enough for me
- 29:12Speaker 1: to put back on my business and enough to pay
- 29:14Speaker 1: all my bills. Now, if you could do that for
- 29:17Speaker 1: a whole year, then say now thirty thousand, or every
- 29:21Speaker 1: two years, thirty thousand, forty thousand, fifty thousand. When you
- 29:25Speaker 1: get to the place when you start making fifty thousand
- 29:27Speaker 1: dollars a year, and your house is paid off, and
- 29:32Speaker 1: you and you live in a nice neighborhood, and you
- 29:34Speaker 1: doing good and nobody knows you making money, then you're
- 29:39Speaker 1: gonna be good. But when you tell everybody you start
- 29:42Speaker 1: making money, that's when it become a problem. So I'm
- 29:44Speaker 1: saying to y'all is as follows. I get it, I understand,
- 29:52Speaker 1: I really do. But my whole philosophy and all of
- 29:57Speaker 1: this is is that enjoy your life. Build something that
- 30:06Speaker 1: you can pass down to your family, Build something that
- 30:09Speaker 1: will live past you and even live past your kids.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Financial recovery is I ain't never going back to not
- 30:19Speaker 1: another job. I'm not going back to work in a
- 30:23Speaker 1: regular nine to five job. I'm not going back to
- 30:28Speaker 1: where I can't work from anywhere, even when I'm on vacation.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Meaning as follows, you think all these rich and wealthy
- 30:36Speaker 1: people are in the office. No, you have what's called zoom.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Now you don't even have to be in the office.
- 30:42Speaker 1: You don't have to go in and physically be in
- 30:44Speaker 1: a meeting. You can do it from zoom. But yet
- 30:46Speaker 1: they still want you to go in the office because
- 30:49Speaker 1: of the fact of the matter of real estate. Yeah,
- 30:54Speaker 1: real estate. If it wasn't for real estate, everybody could
- 30:58Speaker 1: work for my mom, except if there's a need for it.
- 31:02Speaker 1: If there's a need for you in that office, then
- 31:04Speaker 1: you need to be in there. But if there's no
- 31:06Speaker 1: need for you to be in the office, then there's
- 31:07Speaker 1: no need for you to be there. I'm just saying so.
- 31:13Speaker 1: At the end of the day, like I said, when
- 31:17Speaker 1: you ain't up one morning and you say I don't
- 31:20Speaker 1: want to go to work, I'm tired of getting up.
- 31:24Speaker 1: I'm tired of not being able to go to doctor's appointments.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I'm tired of not being able to pick my kids
- 31:28Speaker 1: up from school. I'm tired of making this job my
- 31:31Speaker 1: whole entire life. When you lose your job and you
- 31:36Speaker 1: end up homeless, or you barely getting by paying your bills,
- 31:41Speaker 1: or you lost your job because it's your fault, and
- 31:46Speaker 1: you say that you deserve better, that's where you're healing.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Financially begins when you realize all these people you've been
- 31:57Speaker 1: spending money on, all these people you've been to't care
- 32:01Speaker 1: off your dime, and they not returning what you give them.
- 32:09Speaker 1: You test people by making it seem like you ain't
- 32:11Speaker 1: got no money, you'll see how many people are your
- 32:14Speaker 1: true friends and you can count on five fingers how
- 32:17Speaker 1: many of them will be out of thousands of thousands. So,
- 32:23Speaker 1: like I said, financial recovery is in multiple different facets.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Also when it comes to your family members and leeches
- 32:31Speaker 1: and vampires that sucked the life out of you. So
- 32:35Speaker 1: this podcast isn't just for people that are basically essentially
- 32:42Speaker 1: losing their jobs. It's also for people that have lost
- 32:46Speaker 1: their jobs because they were fired for no reason, laid off,
- 32:52Speaker 1: people that actually lost their job because they actually they fault.
- 32:56Speaker 1: But either way it go. Financial recovery ain't no joke either.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Building a business is not easy being able us to
- 33:07Speaker 1: not have a bunch of haters trying to tear down
- 33:09Speaker 1: what you do, people trying to destroy what you got
- 33:12Speaker 1: going on. That's another part when you have people sabotaging
- 33:17Speaker 1: your growth. When you have a husband that don't want
- 33:20Speaker 1: his wife to work, so he goes to her job
- 33:23Speaker 1: to try to get her manager, to her own the
- 33:25Speaker 1: owner of the company to make the quick, make her
- 33:27Speaker 1: quit or fire her. When you got people that's trying
- 33:31Speaker 1: to stop you from building something, stealing your ideas, So
- 33:36Speaker 1: there's many different facets of financial recovery, and we'll get
- 33:40Speaker 1: into each and every last one of them separately. I
- 33:46Speaker 1: can do a season on each one of them, and
- 33:48Speaker 1: that's what I plan to do. So we're gonna start
- 33:51Speaker 1: with the ones that lost their jobs willingly. Then we're
- 33:56Speaker 1: gonna start with the ones that lost their job because
- 34:02Speaker 1: it was out of their control, and the ones that
- 34:05Speaker 1: lost their job because it's their fault. And then financial
- 34:09Speaker 1: when it comes to family, when it comes to spouses,
- 34:13Speaker 1: when it come to being Captain, saber Hose, Biller Bears,
- 34:15Speaker 1: bill A Dolls, see full of people please. Yeah, there's
- 34:18Speaker 1: a lot to unpack here. So I created this podcast
- 34:23Speaker 1: about your healing, and we're gonna start financial here and
- 34:29Speaker 1: the importance of you minding your own business versus worrying
- 34:31Speaker 1: about everybody else and what everybody else got going on
- 34:34Speaker 1: and what everybody else is doing. So with that being said,
- 34:37Speaker 1: I appreciate y'all, I love y'all, and I appreciate support.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I can't wait for y'all to hear the upcoming guests
- 34:44Speaker 1: on the podcast about business and about healing and recovery
- 34:49Speaker 1: from a business perspective and financial perspective. And with that
- 34:53Speaker 1: being said, Thank you guys for joining me for this episode.
- 34:57Speaker 1: I'm your host, guys, aushin Maryama By y'all,
