• 1:35
Speaker 6: Worn's head football coach Steve Sarkisian the weekly media zoom.
• 1:39
  Speaker 5: That he does.
• 1:40
Speaker 6: It's a zoom pressor if you will, or a media availability,
• 1:45
Speaker 6: and we'll hear him talk about his guys and the
• 1:50
Speaker 6: health factor and the matchup with the Arkansas Razorbacks.
• 1:54
Speaker 5: Well, we had a great I do mean great addition.
• 1:57
Speaker 6: Long Worn Weekly last night at sark Out at Pluckers
• 2:01
Speaker 6: the West Campus location at twenty two twenty two reoh Grand.
• 2:05
Speaker 6: In addition to talking about the game itself against Arkansas
• 2:12
Speaker 6: and coming off the window against Florida and things of
• 2:14
Speaker 6: that nature, the recap of that and the preview of that,
• 2:19
Speaker 6: Ricky Williams was on with us for a considerable chunk
• 2:22
Speaker 6: of the show, more than half the show. Normally we
• 2:27
Speaker 6: have a guest and they're able to be with us
• 2:29
Speaker 6: only a couple of segments. Ricky was on with us
• 2:30
Speaker 6: where I flew in to be part of a documentary
• 2:39
Speaker 6: that is being produced about the history of Texas and
• 2:43
Speaker 6: Texas A and M. And it's the SEC plus slash
• 2:48
Speaker 6: long More Network slash ESPN plus whatever group that is
• 2:52
Speaker 6: putting it to the together. Nick Etherington and his film
• 2:56
Speaker 6: crew done great work in the past for Longer Network
• 2:59
Speaker 6: are putting this together other and I went over there.
• 3:02
Speaker 6: They had me sit down for a little while to
• 3:04
Speaker 6: visit with him on my recollections and thoughts about this
• 3:06
Speaker 6: rivalry between Texas and Texas A and M. But Ricky
• 3:11
Speaker 6: Williams certainly can speak glowingly to Ricky had this was
• 3:16
Speaker 6: an amazing number and brings it up on the show,
• 3:19
Speaker 6: which will be able to hear tonight. You know, we
• 3:21
Speaker 6: record the show on Wednesday nights at six at Pluckers
• 3:26
Speaker 6: and then it airs on Thursday nights at seven, So
• 3:28
Speaker 6: if you didn't make it out there last night, no orders,
• 3:30
Speaker 6: you can still hear the show tonight at seven. It
• 3:34
Speaker 6: also has a TV airing on KBVO normally on Friday nights.
• 3:39
Speaker 6: I think it'll be on after the Westlake playoff game
• 3:41
Speaker 6: tomorrow night. But anyway, Ricky Williams was on with us
• 3:44
Speaker 6: and it was really really good. I did not realize this.
• 3:47
Speaker 6: Ricky Williams rushed from more than seven hundred yards and
• 3:53
Speaker 6: four tries against Texas A and M seven hundred plus yards.
• 3:59
Speaker 6: He he had some just some mashup games against Texas
• 4:04
Speaker 6: A and M, and that was the long ones, going
• 4:06
Speaker 6: three and one against the Aggies. They beat him in
• 4:09
Speaker 6: nineteen ninety five in the final game in Southwest Conference history,
• 4:15
Speaker 6: final to win the last Southwest Conference title. They won
• 4:19
Speaker 6: that one sixteen to six, and Ricky I think went
• 4:20
Speaker 6: for one sixty three or one sixty five in that game,
• 4:26
Speaker 6: and he carried a lot of low because James Brown
• 4:28
Speaker 6: had a very sore ankles. I remember that day he
• 4:30
Speaker 6: had sprained it, I think against TCU. But Ricky had
• 4:34
Speaker 6: a big game that year. The next year in Austin
• 4:36
Speaker 6: went Texas beat A and M pretty badly. He had
• 4:40
Speaker 6: another big game. He had a big game in ninety seven,
• 4:43
Speaker 6: the game the Aggies won, which was the final game
• 4:47
Speaker 6: that John mcavitt coached, when they won that one thirty
• 4:50
Speaker 6: one to fourteen. And then in ninety eight, the most
• 4:56
Speaker 6: memorable of all of those games, Mack Brown's first year,
• 4:59
Speaker 6: final game of the regular season. Ricky has a massive
• 5:02
Speaker 6: day over two hundred yards and of course, on that
• 5:05
Speaker 6: sixty two yard touchdown run surpassed Tony Dorsett to become
• 5:09
Speaker 6: college football's all time leading rusher at that point he was.
• 5:13
Speaker 6: So we talk about all of that and a lot
• 5:15
Speaker 6: of other things tonight. You'll hear it on Long One
• 5:18
Speaker 6: Weekly We had. Like I said, it was a great
• 5:20
Speaker 6: show taping that we had last night, and we normally
• 5:22
Speaker 6: record the program on Wednesdays, and that'll be the case
• 5:28
Speaker 6: next week, and it'll be the case the night before
• 5:31
Speaker 6: Thanksgiving as well. If you're in town for that, you
• 5:33
Speaker 6: want to come out there. The night before Thanksgiving. We'll
• 5:36
Speaker 6: be doing it on Wednesday, so that was the case
• 5:39
Speaker 6: when we recorded the program. We also have a basketball
• 5:44
Speaker 6: early season special edition of basketball edition of Long Worn
• 5:49
Speaker 6: Weekly with Rodney Terry coming away tonight, and that'll be
• 5:55
Speaker 6: live at Pluckers from six to seven, so you can
• 5:58
Speaker 6: come out joined some great win, great hoops conversation with Rodney.
• 6:02
Speaker 6: Our special guest will be Kayden Shedrick. The Long Run
• 6:04
Speaker 6: Center's off to a good start, so we'll visit with him.
• 6:08
Speaker 6: That comes your way at six. A live edition special
• 6:11
Speaker 6: Basketball edition of Longrn Weekly with Rodney Terry at six o'clock,
• 6:15
Speaker 6: then at seven o'clock three the airing of the football
• 6:18
Speaker 6: show Long One Weekly with Coach Sark, which we recorded
• 6:21
Speaker 6: last night, but it'll air at seven.
• 6:24
Speaker 5: Producer for this program is Cameron D. Parker.
• 6:27
Speaker 6: The D on the birth certificate stands for Dallas, as
• 6:31
Speaker 6: in his father's favorite pro football team, for whom Cam
• 6:36
Speaker 6: was given the middle name Dallas, and it's Cameron's favorite
• 6:40
Speaker 6: team as well, except right now he refuses to watch them.
• 6:43
Speaker 6: Disgusted by them, won't view them that sort of thing,
• 6:48
Speaker 6: But yet Kerry's their name.
• 6:50
Speaker 5: How's your day going? Not too bad? Creg. It's you know,
• 6:53
Speaker 5: it's busy, busy, busy.
• 6:55
Speaker 7: Women's basketball Last night was fun over at the mood
• 6:58
Speaker 7: with Roger Wallace getting set for the Coaches Show tonight.
• 7:02
Speaker 7: And then I think there's a football game on Saturday,
• 7:06
  Speaker 7: there's a basketball game on Saturday. I think there's a
• 7:07
Speaker 7: women's basketball game on Sunday as well, and then we
• 7:11
Speaker 7: prepare for Brooklyn next week. So trying to keep my
• 7:14
Speaker 7: head above water here. But it's fun. It's the overlap season.
• 7:17
Speaker 7: Then you get into it.
• 7:18
Speaker 6: I'm glad you've adopted my phraseology for that overlap. Some
• 7:22
Speaker 6: have called it crossover and it is, but that I
• 7:24
Speaker 6: call it overlap because the football and basketball season's overlap.
• 7:28
  Speaker 5: It's pretty busy.
• 7:29
Speaker 6: And then I will submit to you that overlap two,
• 7:33
Speaker 6: or as I like to refer to an overlap Roman
• 7:35
Speaker 6: numeral too, starts about the third week in February and
• 7:39
Speaker 6: runs until the end of March. And that's men's basketball,
• 7:43
Speaker 6: women's basketball, baseball, and even softball's going on at that time. Now,
• 7:47
Speaker 6: our man Andrew Haynes handles the preponderance of the play
• 7:51
Speaker 6: by play on Texas softball games, but it's still a very,
• 7:54
Speaker 6: very very busy time. That's overlap two that comes up atterwards.
• 7:57
Speaker 6: So anyway, there's all of that. It's a busy weekend.
• 8:00
Speaker 6: As Cam pointed out this weekend alone, we mentioned to
• 8:04
Speaker 6: you the two programs tonight six o'clock live edition Long
• 8:08
Speaker 6: Warnon Weekly with Rodney Terry out at Pluckers, followed by
• 8:10
Speaker 6: the recorded edition Long one Weekly we Coach Sark at
• 8:13
Speaker 6: seven o'clock here on the Zone. Both programs heard right
• 8:15
Speaker 6: here on the Zone at six o'clock at seven o'clock.
• 8:18
  Speaker 5: So there's that.
• 8:20
Speaker 6: And then Friday tomorrow, I'll be up in favor of Arkansas,
• 8:26
Speaker 6: but we'll check in with Andrew Zimma will be hosting Tomors.
• 8:29
Speaker 6: I'll check in with him and you'll hear an excerpt
• 8:32
Speaker 6: from Long WRN Weekly with Coach Sark breaking down the
• 8:35
Speaker 6: Arcids on Razorbacks. It's Friday, as Cameron mentioned, very busy Saturday.
• 8:40
Speaker 6: And on Saturday begins at eight o'clock in the morning,
• 8:44
Speaker 6: we have Long Orange Game Day and that's coming your
• 8:47
Speaker 6: way from the Texas Cardouse Social location there on one
• 8:52
Speaker 6: eighty three and Cam will be there along with my
• 8:55
Speaker 6: card to Mark Henry.
• 8:56
  Speaker 5: That's at eight a m.
• 8:58
Speaker 6: To set the stage for Texas Arkansas at ten o'clock
• 9:01
Speaker 6: will be our network pregame showing the kickoff at eleven
• 9:06
Speaker 6: Texas against Arkansas here on AM thirteen under the Zone.
• 9:12
Speaker 6: Also on ninety eight point one Fmkvett, the home of
• 9:15
Speaker 6: Austin's all time country favorites. So I have that when
• 9:18
Speaker 6: the football game is over, there's basketball coming on right
• 9:23
Speaker 6: on the heels of a three thirty airtime four o'clock
• 9:25
Speaker 6: tip off Texas against Mississippi Valley State men's basketball action,
• 9:30
Speaker 6: and Roger Wallace will join Eddie Orn for the call
• 9:34
Speaker 6: of that one. And after I get done with the
• 9:38
Speaker 6: football game in Fayetteville on Saturday late Saturday afternoon, and
• 9:41
Speaker 6: I'll zip over to the airport and fly to Chicago
• 9:44
Speaker 6: Saturday night because the Texas women will play to Paul
• 9:47
Speaker 6: on Sunday at win Trust Arena, so I'll be there
• 9:52
Speaker 6: to call that action.
• 9:53
Speaker 5: And that's a Sunday evening game at six point thirty.
• 9:55
Speaker 6: The reason why it's Sunday evenings because the Bears have
• 9:58
Speaker 6: a home game against the Packers and win Trust Arena
• 10:01
Speaker 6: to Paul University, you actually share a parking facility in
• 10:04
Speaker 6: parking lot, so the start time of the basketball game
• 10:07
Speaker 6: was pushed back with the football game at noon, but
• 10:10
Speaker 6: we'll bring it to you Sunday night, and you can
• 10:11
Speaker 6: hear that on one oh three point one FM, Austin's
• 10:14
Speaker 6: eighty station that will begin. Our coverage will begin on
• 10:19
Speaker 6: Sunday evening at six fifteen with a tip off at
• 10:21
Speaker 6: six thirty, So that sets the stage for all of
• 10:23
Speaker 6: that op. Next, we hear from the head coach, from
• 10:27
Speaker 6: Long Horn's head coach, Steve Sarkesian, the weekly media zoom
• 10:30
Speaker 6: here on a Thursday afternoon on Sports Radio AM thirteen
