- 0:00Speaker 1: So he said he was going to his friend's house.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Played it.
- 0:04Speaker 1: I don't know the exact time.
- 0:06Speaker 3: This woman is in the midst of lying to police.
- 0:09Just hours ago, she brutally murdered her son, Gannon, hid
- 0:13his body in the basement, and called nine to one
- 0:16one to report him missing. Officers at the scene have
- 0:19no idea what they walked into, and they will quickly
- 0:22find themselves entangled in this killer's twisted lies.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Is there anybody down here?
- 0:30Speaker 5: So then when I get downstairs, I wanted to come
- 0:33those two.
- 0:35Speaker 4: He asked me to give him a suit casetairs. No,
- 0:39you didn't hurt Gannon? Did you kill gan?
- 0:41Speaker 6: No?
- 0:42Speaker 3: But this was just the beginning of her lies.
- 0:46Speaker 6: Why would I hurt our child at everything in the world.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Have no motive, So tell me where he is and
- 0:54let me help you.
- 0:55Speaker 7: I don't know where he is.
- 0:59Speaker 8: All I can tell you is nine.
- 1:08Speaker 3: In the early hours of January twenty seventh, Latitia texts
- 1:11her supervisors at Widefield School District three, stating that she
- 1:15cannot come to work. Allegedly, her stepfather was killed in
- 1:18a hit and run and she has to tend to
- 1:20his passing. Nearly six hours later, at nine fifty six am,
- 1:25Latisiha sends another text to her employers. This time she
- 1:28states that Gennin is sick and she needs to stay home. However,
- 1:32just twenty minutes later, at ten sixteen am, a neighbor's
- 1:36surveillance camera captures Letitia and Gannon entering their red niece
- 1:39on Frontier and driving away. During this time, Letitia would
- 1:43visit a pet coo on Nevada Avenue instead of visiting
- 1:46a doctor to treat her allegedly six son. By two PM,
- 1:50both Genin and Letitia returned home, but something was off.
- 1:55Not only did Latisha purchase cleaning supplies moments after their return,
- 2:00but backed all the way into her driveway. According to
- 2:02family and friends, Letitia never backed up all the way
- 2:06into the driveway, but for now, only one credible conclusion
- 2:10can be made. The only person last in contact with
- 2:13Gannon was his own stepmother, and oddly enough, she would
- 2:18report him to be missing five hours later at seven PM.
- 2:22Speaker 7: I saw a bob and at almost seven and what
- 2:26so like all his friend palase means that he's going
- 2:28to be at his friend house and they said he
- 2:30wasn't there and the other like that. He never came there,
- 2:32so don't. I don't know any other people he can
- 2:35call an ask, and I thoughd to my husband as
- 2:37when I had to call you, guys discussed I too,
- 2:39because I don't know anyone else here, say he's only alone.
- 2:44Speaker 3: With this call. Officers rushed to Letitia's home and in
- 2:47attempts to gather as much information as possible, because every
- 2:50single second Gannon's trail gets colder.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Did he take his bike?
- 2:56Speaker 4: No?
- 2:57Speaker 6: Okay, so okay, because somebody's a little kid on a bike, they.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Closed, Well, he didn't unless he took it sooner and
- 3:03brought it back, because Lena is getting a bike.
- 3:10Speaker 6: Yeah, there's one picture so much that.
- 3:12Speaker 5: He was on and he was holding he's in the switch.
- 3:16Speaker 3: For someone who just realized their son is missing, Letitia
- 3:20is strangely calm. Not only that she states with her
- 3:23initial alibi that Gannon was visiting her friend, which is
- 3:27clearly a lie, as Gannon never left the home after
- 3:30his return. Undoubtedly something is very wrong here, But for
- 3:34these officers, Letitia is nothing more than a concerned mother
- 3:38as they continued to search her home.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Okay, because you were to hear you weren't in the beginning, right,
- 3:44I thought I didn't know if I had that box
- 3:45cutter and all this stuff in there because I.
- 3:47Speaker 5: Told him about he dropped me last night, okay, And
- 3:51I thought I was just making sure.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I didn't want to be like, oh it was a boat.
- 3:55But yeah, I had to cut this. And I told
- 3:58them I wasn't even going to tell did.
- 4:00Speaker 5: And I was going to figure out a way to
- 4:02put this from the situation. But right, I just took
- 4:08it and like covered up with the carpet and stuff
- 4:10like that.
- 4:10Speaker 4: But do you have any friends around here?
- 4:15Speaker 5: There is a let me one to say he did
- 4:17have this one like both things that's where you're.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Supposed to be down the road. But they checked that already.
- 4:23They went over there and talked to it, and they're like, no,
- 4:25we hadn't it all.
- 4:27Speaker 6: He did have this like a and you talked to parents, right,
- 4:29you didn't talk to Yeah, Connor's.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Mom came over, who is a friend he goes hangs
- 4:33out with all the time.
- 4:35Speaker 6: So they come over.
- 4:36Speaker 1: The people here that the friends, they were just the
- 4:38ones that were the door with the bike.
- 4:40Speaker 4: They came over.
- 4:41Speaker 8: When people came.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Over, Keep in mind that officers have not yet completed
- 4:45their house search they have only gone through the home superficially,
- 4:49yet oddly, Letitia is trying her best to keep them
- 4:52restrained to two sections of the house, the living room,
- 4:56where there is a burnt piece of carpet, and Gannon's room.
- 5:00Strange behavior would only worsen as Letitia is committed to
- 5:03keeping the officers where they are.
- 5:05Speaker 1: He forgets to like bring this or bring that, I
- 5:08bring this, I bring that.
- 5:10Speaker 6: Yay.
- 5:13Speaker 1: No, we actually lay out all the clothes all the time,
- 5:16like for you know, like every day at school we
- 5:19lay out clothes.
- 5:20Speaker 9: We do.
- 5:20Speaker 5: Whatever is this jacket con he had on the we
- 5:23he has silver jackets like he might.
- 5:25Speaker 1: It depends on very like fashion, so like it just
- 5:28depends on jackets, like he might have this.
- 5:30Speaker 5: Black one with this or there's a blue one with
- 5:32this jacket.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, silver jackets like hm, you
- 5:37see the kids, you know, like tons and tons of
- 5:39clothes and he just yeah, sure he.
- 5:43Speaker 5: Has all that.
- 5:43Speaker 4: So there's a weird texted dad guy about something. Hey,
- 5:51if you do we have any battles, my friend will
- 5:56let me play Sonic or something at their house. He said, yeah,
- 6:00I got it, and then mom goes through everything finds
- 6:04a like A like A. It was Parker.
- 6:13Speaker 3: This is the exact moment that officers realized that Letitia
- 6:17was hiding something from them. It's strange that she randomly
- 6:20closes the door here, as if there was something in
- 6:22the basement that she didn't want the cops to see,
- 6:25and her behavior words and strategies to deflect the cops
- 6:28from certain areas of the house did not go unnoticed. Consequently,
- 6:32her devices were subjected to a forensic analysis where officers
- 6:35would come across a disturbing video recorded on Sunday, January
- 6:40twenty sixth, a day before a Gannon that supposedly went missing.
- 6:45Speaker 5: And I promised, is the last time I'm want to
- 6:48ask you.
- 6:48Speaker 4: I'm just freak out. Okay. Are you sure you didn't
- 6:52do it on purpose?
- 6:54Speaker 5: Okay, you promise, you promises purpose? He promised.
- 7:00Speaker 9: All right, So listen, we're gonna have to sell stuff
- 7:02to fix it. So we figure out what we gotta sell.
- 7:05We can sell the sofa because.
- 7:06Speaker 1: We got to get it fixed.
- 7:07Speaker 9: Old lady, don't be mad at us and kick aside
- 7:10the house, okay.
- 7:12Speaker 3: This video was recorded by Latsia when Gannon supposedly dropped
- 7:16a candle on the carpet, leaving a burnmark. What the
- 7:19video doesn't show is that Gannon sustained burn injuries on
- 7:22his arms from the candle, and rather than treating his burns,
- 7:26Letitia is hurt, scolding him instead. Additionally, during the phone analysis,
- 7:31officers discovered a phone call that Latitia had made to
- 7:34her husband, Albert Stouch, informing him of the situation.
- 7:38Speaker 2: He's only it was just his arms, So I didn't
- 7:41see anything that would have thrown a flag that I
- 7:44had to be like, oh my god, emergency.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Or anything like that. But if his arms was bubbling us,
- 7:49not an emergency.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Oh you aren't broke skin, like it was just underneath.
- 7:54In my mind, I'm like, let's evaluate the situation tomorrow
- 7:59and see whatever it wasn't burn or it was. I
- 8:03didn't see it as a bad theme. I just knew
- 8:05he was like, it's not hurting. We put aloe on it.
- 8:08Speaker 4: And I soon show it.
- 8:10Speaker 3: As heartbreaking as this call is, the burns described are
- 8:13likely second degree because of both the freezing feeling that
- 8:16Gannon described and the presence of blisters. Things aren't adding up,
- 8:21and the story so far paints a really bad light
- 8:24on Letitia. However, officers need to verify what really happened,
- 8:28as it was after this incident that Gannon disappeared. That's
- 8:32why on January thirtieth, three days after Gannon's disappearance, Letitia
- 8:36was called in for an interview so detectives could understand
- 8:38the circumstances surrounding this situation.
- 8:41Speaker 9: So Gannon had started a candle again normals, he's very
- 8:46like or responsible in terms of like if you give
- 8:49him something.
- 8:50Speaker 8: And say do this, do this, this is this, like
- 8:52a list of prepare be fine. So we let him,
- 8:55you know, do things like that.
- 8:56Speaker 9: So I did be a problem in him no light
- 8:59again whatever, And Lena asked.
- 9:02Speaker 5: Me because she stay up and to watch the rest
- 9:05of her iPad or whatever. It was just her birthday
- 9:08and I was trying to give her a little bit
- 9:09extra because we.
- 9:10Speaker 9: Went all out for Haanna's birthday, like we took into
- 9:12a Rockies game, we took friends with him.
- 9:15Speaker 3: It is already strange that Latitia is going on several
- 9:18tangents and prefacing this entire conversation with the loving relationship
- 9:22she had with her children, especially with her daughter Harley Hunt,
- 9:26whom she would refer to as Lena, almost as if
- 9:30she wants to say that whatever happened with the candle
- 9:32was not intentional.
- 9:34Speaker 5: So it starts beeping. It's like a beep beep, beepep,
- 9:37and I thought.
- 9:37Speaker 8: That someone was coming in house. I didn't see anything
- 9:40going on. Then it started saying fire, fire, fire.
- 9:44Speaker 9: Fire, So there was smoke coming up through the basises.
- 9:47And then I met downstairs to get game. And then
- 9:50the fire was on the floor over here, then on
- 9:53the sofa, so I'm pretending this was a soap on
- 9:54this is our floor. So it was right here and
- 9:56right here, and I saw the candle that was over here.
- 10:00So there was covers everywhere. Because the kids always given
- 10:03about I leave lock covers. Then at all time, I
- 10:05take a whole bunch of them and I go and
- 10:08like like basically smashed down on the sofa in the
- 10:12fire to put it out. So I got a burn,
- 10:15and I was like get o again and started.
- 10:18Speaker 8: Running at that point because it wakes him up. He's alert, he's.
- 10:20Speaker 9: Realizing that the covers and everything's come fire, the carpet's
- 10:23on fire, and we all grot.
- 10:26Speaker 3: That Essentially what occurred was a freak accident from Gannon
- 10:30due to him accidentally knocking over a candle. A small
- 10:33fire had somehow ignited on the carpet in the basement.
- 10:36This was the same cut up section of the carpet
- 10:38that Latitia had previously shown officers. But this was a
- 10:43second degree burns by just a knocked over candle, especially
- 10:47on both arms, is unlikely, if not impossible. Gannon would
- 10:51have also had enough common sense to run away from flames.
- 10:54After all, it was a slow moving fire caused by
- 10:57a candle. If this wasn't strange enough, he should begins
- 11:00to recount the injuries again and suffered, but this time
- 11:03they would be different from what she told Albert.
- 11:07Speaker 8: I was scared because my thought process was Albert is
- 11:10going to kill me, like because I made a mistake
- 11:14as a parent, and for gott to like really check him.
- 11:17Speaker 5: Out, and he really got a little bit more burns.
- 11:20Speaker 6: Shoot, So I was freaking out because it's like he's
- 11:25gonna kill me, and Ganner's.
- 11:28Speaker 8: Like it's okay.
- 11:29Speaker 5: It's like there was blood and like he had on
- 11:32his arms and as it was peeling. I should have called.
- 11:38I should have colled the hospital and just asked, you know,
- 11:42I don't know.
- 11:42Speaker 8: Enough about burns. But I should have called the hospital
- 11:45and just asked like.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I made to quote, Letitia just said more than he
- 11:52should have and secondly implied that Gennon was somehow bleeding
- 11:56because of burns and apparent contradiction what she told Albert.
- 12:01More importantly, this was a massive slip up by Letitia,
- 12:04and detective suspects that this fire wasn't a simple mistake. However,
- 12:09there is no way to confirm this situation as of now,
- 12:12but there is one conclusion that officers can make Letitia
- 12:15is lying. When a suspect is guilty, they often make
- 12:18major changes to alibis, as opposed to someone who is
- 12:21innocent and has little variation in their story. In Latitia's case,
- 12:24she changes major details about the Kandell incident, especially her
- 12:28response which was recorded on her phone, which sets off
- 12:31a series of red flags for the detectives, as they
- 12:33now believe that she might go as far as changing
- 12:36her original alibi about Gannon's disappearance too, and begin to
- 12:39question her about it. If this assumption turns out to
- 12:42be true, there is a high likelihood that Letitia is
- 12:45withholding even more crucial information.
- 12:48Speaker 8: He goes in through the garage I go in.
- 12:50Speaker 5: I'm getting ready to.
- 12:51Speaker 8: Put up the Thames stuff like that. As we got inside,
- 12:54I heard something, but I didn't think anything about it
- 12:57because I thought, you know, maybe was like doing something.
- 13:01They we were like doing whatever, and the.
- 13:07Speaker 6: Guy was in there, and I gave him the code,
- 13:11the guy from the Yeah, it's all my fault because
- 13:14I gave him our code to fix the carpet.
- 13:17Speaker 8: Okay.
- 13:19Speaker 5: And when I walked downstairs, I hear something again.
- 13:22Speaker 8: Well, at that point in time, Gannon was on the
- 13:24sofa and I saw.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Him and I heard them again, and I walked on
- 13:27around and he was standing in there. He had them
- 13:29gloves in the store sucking. Yes, okay, he had wanted
- 13:33to come.
- 13:37Speaker 6: So too fun And then he just knocked me down
- 13:40and like towards Gannon through and he was like he
- 13:43was hitting on me.
- 13:44Speaker 5: He was like like on the ground.
- 13:47Speaker 8: He was trying to like rain.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Exactly as predicted, Latitia's alibi has changed from gain and
- 13:53visiting a friend's house to having an intruder break into
- 13:55her home, but this would only be the start of
- 13:58her outrageous lives, as according to her, a confrontation with
- 14:01the stranger escalates and.
- 14:04Speaker 6: I'm like fleeting and like talking and like all these
- 14:07things going on, like just back and forth.
- 14:09Speaker 5: With him, and why are you doing this?
- 14:11Speaker 8: Why?
- 14:11Speaker 5: Why did you heard us? Why are you doing these things?
- 14:14And then he was like on top of me again,
- 14:17and then I kind of like out a case because
- 14:18he's hitting.
- 14:19Speaker 8: My head again.
- 14:20Speaker 7: And then yes, and then he was like he asked
- 14:23me to.
- 14:23Speaker 5: Give him a suitcase, and I gave him a brown.
- 14:26Speaker 8: Suitcase, and then he hit me on.
- 14:28Speaker 9: The head again and.
- 14:29Speaker 8: It's right here.
- 14:31Speaker 6: He just kept like hitting me right there like that okay,
- 14:34And so then he did that and then I liked
- 14:36out again.
- 14:37Speaker 7: I was having paid attackt and then I don't know
- 14:40what happened from there.
- 14:42Speaker 5: I really don't.
- 14:43Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 14:44Speaker 6: I just know that.
- 14:47Speaker 9: I did lie.
- 14:47Speaker 8: I did when they came, I did say get a
- 14:52lift whatever, you know that.
- 14:54Speaker 4: But if he never did, he never left to go play,
- 14:59or I just didn't know what to do in I.
- 15:00Speaker 8: Pad the moment.
- 15:02Speaker 5: I didn't want Albert like I hear it is because
- 15:07we kind of get the lot of fight, yeah, And
- 15:10I just want to know that is the only reason
- 15:12there that I made it the lie.
- 15:14Speaker 3: The simple way to check whether she has been assaulted
- 15:16is using a sexual assault nurse examiner at a local hospital.
- 15:20These are registered nurses who receive special training to collect
- 15:23forensic evidence from assault survivors. Conveniently, Letitia rejected this examination
- 15:28when officers offered it to her. Not only that, but
- 15:31even CCTV footage confirms the fact that no one entered
- 15:35or left the Stout residence after Letitia and Gannon came home.
- 15:38She likely thought that this portly planned story would absolve
- 15:41her of any crimes. Fortunately, quite the opposite happened. Noticing
- 15:45these contradictions, police officers handed this case over to the FBI,
- 15:49who gathered CCTV footage from neighbors and came to a
- 15:53harrowing realization. The morning after Gannon's disappearance, Letitia rented a
- 15:58key to Rio for twenty four hours and left the
- 16:00house at approximately eight thirty am on the twenty eighth
- 16:04of January. When the car was returned the following day
- 16:07at eight am on the twenty ninth of January, it
- 16:09had clocked in nine hundred and fifty five miles in
- 16:13the span of one day. This could mean only one thing.
- 16:17Letitia had likely murdered Gannon after their return at two
- 16:21pm and on the morning of January twenty eighth left
- 16:24to dump his body. While this much is easy to
- 16:27figure out, the exact details surrounding the murder are still
- 16:31not known. This is why, one month after Gannon's disappearance,
- 16:35on March second, federal investigators called Letitia in for yet
- 16:38another interview to piece together this confusing puzzle of Gannon's
- 16:42disappearance and possibly his murder.
- 16:46Speaker 4: Because of the nature of the warrant being a murder warrant,
- 16:49we need to know the real story because you put
- 16:51out quite a different start, a few different stories than you. Well,
- 16:56we heard a lot of the stories to how Holbert did.
- 17:00Speaker 6: The reason I already knew some months was listening to him,
- 17:03but because of him not like being supportive, and I
- 17:08tried originally to talk to him when he first got therried.
- 17:12Speaker 5: That was the only reason I.
- 17:13Speaker 6: Said this thing to him, was just because I was
- 17:15out of anger and I was like her and not
- 17:19being able to have support.
- 17:20Speaker 5: It was nothing to do with like these say those
- 17:23things to him, was.
- 17:24Speaker 6: Just meaning to what did the original want to call
- 17:27it selfish orcios or whatever you want to call it.
- 17:30I did have like originally initial different thoughts from certain things,
- 17:34and that would me trying to like basically read.
- 17:37Speaker 5: Him and try to figure the situations out.
- 17:39Speaker 6: So I understand that you have heard those or whatever
- 17:42you have heard, and that's okay, because that totally.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Was not what Letitia is referring to hearing. Are rumors
- 17:48about the friction between her and Albert. Since he was
- 17:51a National Guard, Albert was rarely home and Letitia felt
- 17:54he gave little attention to her. This had resulted in
- 17:57instability in their relationship, which initially denies as being small
- 18:02apprehensions she felt about him. However, when the officer confronts
- 18:06her about odd searches on her phone, she goes into
- 18:09a state of absolute panic.
- 18:12Speaker 4: You know in here, I even have what you entered
- 18:13in your phone, the stuff that you've entered and deleted,
- 18:18like blood is spurting from an arterial bleed, direct pressure.
- 18:23Speaker 5: Not controlling what I don't want to miss up.
- 18:26Speaker 4: It's from your phone, spurting from an arterial bleed. Somebody
- 18:33did from your phone. If I don't like my steps on,
- 18:37I don't want my steps on? Should I get a divorce?
- 18:41I'll stop cheating, I'll stalk Instagram, I'll stop cheating in
- 18:45Colorado Springs. How to get blood out of sheets?
- 18:49Speaker 6: Sheet?
- 18:52Speaker 5: The blood out of sheet is because you always have.
- 18:57Speaker 6: If I ever looked at blood, it might be something
- 19:00I never love, anything about artery or something ilse it
- 19:03went for something else.
- 19:05Speaker 5: It's on your and I never lived anything about my sisters.
- 19:08Was someone else kid?
- 19:09Speaker 3: The searches that the investigator just named would only be
- 19:13a few of the thirty four searches that Latitia made
- 19:16between the twenty fifth and the twenty eighth of January,
- 19:19which is the exact timeframe that Ginnen went missing. It conveniently,
- 19:23she would have an excuse for every single one of them.
- 19:27Speaker 4: The reason I brought up games is you looked up
- 19:30I want immunity because it was gang relater and this
- 19:33sounds like me, find me a new husband, find me
- 19:37a rich guy, stuffs to take care of his kid.
- 19:40Speaker 6: So the new husband is just because however, already knew
- 19:44that was about the lady Dammy Sheryll, who.
- 19:46Speaker 8: Had a who wanted to find a new husband at
- 19:48a very far or so.
- 19:49Speaker 5: Are you thinking me about him his own?
- 19:51Speaker 4: A lot of these can have nothing to do with this.
- 19:53Speaker 5: He doesn't I get it.
- 19:55Speaker 4: I'm doing all the work for my step kids and
- 19:57their mom doesn't help.
- 19:58Speaker 5: Oh that bothered me?
- 19:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't.
- 20:00Speaker 5: Oh yeah, because I wanted them to be mine one day.
- 20:04Speaker 4: Some people wish they treated you differently, which I get
- 20:07that parent things should be four people, not one was
- 20:11A sible person might say, I mean, these make me
- 20:14very sad when I read them, because I can see
- 20:16you're doing all the work at home by yourself.
- 20:19Speaker 6: Which I wanted to be there, Like I wanted to
- 20:22totally have the kids. Who's my children? That's the point
- 20:26you're not getting like I wanted those kids to be
- 20:31saying to me that I'm the mom, like I'm the
- 20:34person who does Here's the them, loved in everything.
- 20:39Speaker 3: If these were not incriminating enough, investigators also found twelve
- 20:43deleted search terms in let Teacha's iPhone, all of which
- 20:47pertaining to her wanting to find a new husband and
- 20:49being sick of being with Albert.
- 20:51Speaker 4: What about what do you do if you suspect the
- 20:53person's swallowed poison? Did some of the actually swallow?
- 20:56Speaker 6: For?
- 20:57Speaker 4: We do?
- 20:57Speaker 8: I don't know?
- 20:58Speaker 5: I always could things you do?
- 21:03Speaker 4: No one swallowed any pleasing you will never forgive me,
- 21:06and treating you like your perenciss you will never know
- 21:09when it's too late.
- 21:10Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I mean I always search forthing to Alberts falling?
- 21:13Speaker 4: Is an a plea? Made you figure out what an
- 21:15offer plea was? Yeah?
- 21:19Speaker 5: Asking how to search shit?
- 21:20Speaker 4: Do you know what it is?
- 21:22Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 21:23Speaker 4: You remember? What? Did you remember?
- 21:24Speaker 6: I don't remember. I just remember something because someone was
- 21:27writing down a line. So anyone wrote something online, I
- 21:31looked at up. Just like the other day, someone wrote
- 21:34something about CI coming in or something, and I something
- 21:38a line I always google.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Usually, when a suspect undergoes a criminal trial and it's
- 21:43found guilty of a crime, they are given a maximum sentence. However,
- 21:47there is a legal loophole to avoid this if a
- 21:50suspect pleads guilty yet remains adamant that they are innocent,
- 21:53and they are not given a maximum punishment. Instead, they
- 21:57are given a known punishment for a crime. This is
- 22:00known as the Alfred plea. But, as always, Letitia has
- 22:03a convenience story for a search as incriminating as this,
- 22:06and continues deflecting any and all evidence. Because of this
- 22:10cathartic behavior, the detective decides to reroute the conversation elsewhere
- 22:14A preliminary investigation of the house found blood splotches covering
- 22:18the rear of the truck. Gannon's living space and even
- 22:21the cut up carpet.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Are seen the markers from the spray. The spray went
- 22:25from the bed all the way up here. You had
- 22:29to clean it up.
- 22:30Speaker 8: I don't.
- 22:30Speaker 5: I don't know anythink about that.
- 22:32Speaker 4: It comes from fascerted blood. You know what that means.
- 22:36It means that he didn't accidentally do Okay, so that's
- 22:40what we were waiting on because somebody struck in the bed.
- 22:47Speaker 5: Someone struck in and in the bed. By god, we're
- 22:51all drop. That's what That's what you're saying.
- 22:54Speaker 4: Well, then can you tell me how that blood got
- 22:56on the wall?
- 22:58Speaker 5: Okay? Well, because there do you think you have all the.
- 23:02Speaker 4: You're making me?
- 23:03Speaker 9: I'm not.
- 23:04Speaker 4: I don't. It doesn't look like it does on TV
- 23:08if you're a worst criminal.
- 23:09Speaker 5: Arnes watching usselves, because I don't do bad things to people.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Know, good people watch those shiit I don't.
- 23:16Speaker 5: But I don't do any of that. I don't do
- 23:18bad things to people.
- 23:20Speaker 4: Now you're the last person in Canna.
- 23:22Speaker 5: I don't do bad things to people. I don't.
- 23:26Speaker 4: I don't think you do bad things.
- 23:28Speaker 5: I don't do bad things to anyone, and I did
- 23:30do anything bad game.
- 23:32Speaker 4: I think something bad happened again, and I don't know
- 23:35the way to get you to tell me about.
- 23:37Speaker 3: When Gannon returned home on the twenty seventh of January,
- 23:39a doorbell camera had captured audio of neighborhood dogs being
- 23:43sent into a frenzy by what appeared to begin and screaming.
- 23:55By five pm, three hours after these screens, Latisha had
- 23:59ordered her daughter Harley Hunt, to buy cleaning supplies from
- 24:02a nearby dollar Tree at five pm. These included baking soda, vinegar,
- 24:07trash bags, and carpet powder from a nearby Dollar tree.
- 24:10The baking soda and carpet powder to absorb the odor
- 24:13of blood and clean minor stains on the carpet. The
- 24:17vinegar was bought to remove deeper stains on walls and
- 24:20act as a disinfectant, and the trash bags to hide
- 24:24Gannon's body, a body that officers had missed by mere
- 24:27inches and had been hidden away in some part of
- 24:30the basement or garage. And every single location that Latsia
- 24:34showed officers the garage, the carpet, and Gannon's room were
- 24:38all locations that Gannon had bled in. Not only that,
- 24:41her searches about human anatomy from before indicate that she
- 24:45stabbed Ganon in the artery, which resulted in arterial spray,
- 24:49after which Latitia desperately tried to clean up the evidence
- 24:52of her crimes. This is also the reason she had
- 24:55backed up all the way into her driveway, as the
- 24:57rear end of her vehicle was filled with blood, indicating
- 25:00that it had taken place prior to them returning home.
- 25:03Knowing that the investigator is catching on to this story,
- 25:06her initial attempts of feigning innocence now turn into desperate
- 25:10attempts to deflect everything that she has told.
- 25:14Speaker 5: Why would I hurt our child at everything in the world.
- 25:20Speaker 6: Why I have no motive? None, don't have the first motive.
- 25:26Everything I wanted in my life I had. Why doesn't
- 25:31make any It.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Doesn't make sense a lot of the time what happens
- 25:34in side of her.
- 25:36Speaker 5: I'm sure I don't even know what you're talking about.
- 25:40All I can tell you is.
- 25:41Speaker 3: I do not notice that she uses the word motive,
- 25:45which is often terminology that is used by law enforcement
- 25:48when charging a criminal corroborating the facts that she had
- 25:51done her due diligence about the law in case she
- 25:54got caught, just like her searches about the Alfred Fleet. Regardless,
- 25:59the investigator knows that there is a limit to how
- 26:01much she can refuse cold, hard facts and begins to
- 26:04pressure her even further by promising her that he is
- 26:07more concerned about Gan and safety rather than her crimes.
- 26:11Speaker 4: I do live to help, and whether you did this
- 26:14or not, it doesn't matter to me. With all the
- 26:16evidence that they have. The reason why it took so
- 26:20long is the district attorney wanted to wait and wait
- 26:23and wait till they made sure they could lend in
- 26:25the program. And I've done nobody homicides before. They have
- 26:31more on this case than we do on most of them.
- 26:35Speaker 5: If you have a GD, why do you keep asking you?
- 26:37Speaker 4: Because our goal is to find Gan, and our goal
- 26:39is not to prosecute you. That is the district attorney's job.
- 26:43We're investigators, and like you, like you've just seen, I
- 26:46do a poor job about half the time because I
- 26:48have to guess because as much as we try to
- 26:52track you as your cars and your phones and whatever else,
- 26:55there are gaps we do have. Like I told you
- 26:58the blood in the house. We have you know about
- 27:01the board never staying in the forest, but the board
- 27:10with us games going on there was the forest got
- 27:15your DNA.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Presented with such overwhelming evidence, a suspect would usually crack
- 27:20under the pressure and allow themselves to be arrested. In
- 27:23Latitia's case, however, not only does she keep refuting everything
- 27:27the detective has to say, but even goes as far
- 27:29as accidentally giving him even more incriminating information.
- 27:33Speaker 6: The blood that you or your team allow people to
- 27:37be in the house. That okay, Well if it doesn't, okay,
- 27:42it doesn't, you're ready to tell me yours maybe checking
- 27:47it in.
- 27:49Speaker 4: I bet you they can tell me the last time
- 27:50they same even though I bet I can tell you
- 27:55the last Cell game, even though he didn't know that
- 27:57was going to be lost to you. I guarantee union guarded.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Now, Letitia has just agreed that she was the last
- 28:08person who saw Gannon. Not only this, but throughout this interview,
- 28:12she has also admitted to Gannon's injuries, blood locations, and motives.
- 28:16With all of this information that Letitia herself provided, this
- 28:20was less of an interrogation and more of a confession
- 28:24of murder. Letitia was a broken individual. She cast aside
- 28:30her husband and two children because of two major reasons. One,
- 28:35Albert's job in the National Guard made her resent him
- 28:38and wish she was married to someone better, to her
- 28:42extreme inferiority complex towards Gannon's biological mother Landon Bullard. It
- 28:47was later found that during the candle incident, Gannon had
- 28:50wished for his mom to be present, which sent Letitia
- 28:53into a psychotic break, and she attempted to mask a
- 28:56murder in the form of an accidental fire. This failed
- 29:00attempt only added fuel to the fire, so the very
- 29:03next day she called in a vacation from work and
- 29:05spent the day brutally bring Gannon and erasing any traces
- 29:09of her crimes. With these findings, there was no escape
- 29:12for Letitia, and eight days after this interview, she was
- 29:15officially arrested for her crimes, and while being transported to
- 29:19a county jail, out of pure frustration and insanity, she
- 29:23turns to the only other options she has, becoming a fugitive.
- 29:39Speaker 10: Sheets threatened me stop or she keeps threatening stop.
- 29:45Speaker 5: She keeps on threatening me.
- 29:47Speaker 10: I have stopped, She keeps on.
- 29:51Speaker 4: She got.
- 29:53Speaker 5: She keeps on.
- 29:56Speaker 2: I am I will for you.
- 29:58Speaker 10: She keeps your arms. She certainly meet a whole time.
- 30:03Tishu awad With you, I said I wouldn't hit me
- 30:09your arm. Now with you, with you, I'm just asking
- 30:19to grieve.
- 30:20Speaker 5: They'll see this degree that's all wondering breath.
- 30:24Speaker 6: You're hurting my arm.
- 30:27Speaker 5: You're hurting my arm.
- 30:30Speaker 6: You're hurting my arm.
- 30:32Speaker 3: I just want my arm.
- 30:33Speaker 1: It's hurting my arm.
- 30:34Speaker 5: Just let my arm off.
- 30:35Speaker 3: It is ironic that Letitia complains about not being able
- 30:38to breathe, about how her arm hurts and how she's uncomfortable.
- 30:42Yet when she did even worse to pour Gannon, she
- 30:45was filled with nothing but ecstasy and couldn't help but
- 30:48laugh in the face of the officers. Even more tragically,
- 30:51the circumstances that Gannon's body was found in would prove
- 30:55that his death was not instant. It was slow and painful.
- 30:59On March seventeenth, twenty twenty forty nine, days after his murder,
- 31:03a maintenance worker found a suitcase under Escambia Bay Bridge
- 31:06in Pace, Florida, one thousand, three hundred miles away from
- 31:10the Stouch home, and inside was Gannon's body. Autopsies done
- 31:15on the body showed high levels of seamenafin and hydrocodone.
- 31:19While these are generally pain medications, hydro codone was never
- 31:23prescribed to Gannon. It was prescribed to his father, Albert Stouch,
- 31:27who kept the prescription hidden in his nightstand, the location
- 31:30of which only Letitia was aware of. This means he
- 31:34was forcibly drugged to reduce the pain of his injuries,
- 31:37possibly in an attempt to fuel Letitia's sick fantasies. However,
- 31:41this was not the end of it. A gunshot wound
- 31:44in his jaw meant that after Letitia had her fun,
- 31:47she ended his life almost immediately
