- 1:30Don Armstrong: I was gonna say uh so Omar, tell me about uh yourself first.
- 1:37Don Armstrong: Uh what about you?
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: Yes, sir.
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: Don, thank you for having me.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: First of all, thank you for thank you.
- 1:43Don Armstrong: Pull that microphone a little closer to your mouth because we gotta overtake all of the balloons.
- 1:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:49SPEAKER_02: Thank you for the opportunity to be here with you guys.
- 1:52SPEAKER_02: I love the show.
- 1:52SPEAKER_02: I love I love your podcast, and um thank you for having me.
- 1:56SPEAKER_02: Uh a little bit about me.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: I'm a promoter, I promote uh businesses, and right now we're focusing more in the car culture and the car scene of Houston.
- 2:08SPEAKER_02: So our website focuses on car shows, car meets all over Houston.
- 2:13SPEAKER_02: We post every single meet, every single show uh in Houston and all around Houston, Stafford, Richmond, uh, Sugarland, you name it.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: And every single meet and show is in there for a community.
- 2:27SPEAKER_02: Um we also promote the businesses that fuel that car scene and the car culture in Houston.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: And we also write some articles about you know what's what's the the the car crews that make this happen.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: We we cover all different types of events.
- 2:45Don Armstrong: Interesting.
- 2:46Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 2:46Don Armstrong: And how long have you been doing this?
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: Uh well, this is pretty much brand new, if if you will.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: We started doing it back in October.
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: So we started October last year.
- 2:58SPEAKER_02: Um I I didn't know, I've uh excuse my ignorance, if you will, but uh I didn't know about all this car scene happening in Houston all over.
- 3:07SPEAKER_02: Where the hell have you been?
- 3:08SPEAKER_02: I know, right?
- 3:09SPEAKER_02: I've been here 25 years, uh, and I didn't know about all this.
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: And then I found you, and I found everything.
- 3:16SPEAKER_02: So I see I saw all the car meets and car shows everywhere, but not not a place that connects them all.
- 3:23Don Armstrong: So you you need to have some age on you like me, buddy.
- 3:26Don Armstrong: I've you need to come along with us.
- 3:28Don Armstrong: You don't want that.
- 3:30Don Armstrong: Yeah, use the computer instead of age.
- 3:33Don Armstrong: Is that is that right?
- 3:36Don Armstrong: Forget that.
- 3:37Don Armstrong: Now we're we're we're car people, we get out and about all the time, and uh, I have done it all my life.
- 3:42Don Armstrong: And um I think we all have on this on this day.
- 3:46Don Armstrong: Oh, day, so to speak.
- 3:48Don Armstrong: Um well it's uh good to have you out here.
- 3:51Don Armstrong: It's good to meet you.
- 3:52Don Armstrong: Thank you.
- 3:52Don Armstrong: We've been hiding somewhere because we go to a lot of a lot of cruise ins and stuff.
- 3:57Don Armstrong: Yeah, in fact, we've got more cruise ins coming up.
- 3:59Don Armstrong: Uh next weekend we're gonna be in Beaumont for the tailpipes and tacos at uh Lupi Tortilla.
- 4:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 4:05Don Armstrong: And then um and then we have uh Easter Saturday.
- 4:08Don Armstrong: We're gonna be at the Lupi Tortilla in Cady for the tailpipes and tacos there with the Easter bunny and a lot of kids, and that's a great one.
- 4:15Don Armstrong: You need to really make plans to attend that one.
- 4:18Don Armstrong: That's a good one.
- 4:20Don Armstrong: Introduce you to Stan that uh is the founder, he's a big drag racing guy, and um it's part of the car culture that we all are part of.
- 4:28Don Armstrong: Right, and um typically we don't have these kinds of cars, it's more old school, duh, because we're old.
- 4:37Don Armstrong: On the hot router side, yeah, we're uh yeah, on the hot router side.
- 4:39Don Armstrong: But uh anyway, so what have you gained from being out here so far today?
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: Oh, today.
- 4:47SPEAKER_02: Well, let me let me start by saying this.
- 4:50SPEAKER_02: We went uh very early this morning at the post, the one that happened this morning uh in the heart of downtown.
- 4:58SPEAKER_02: We got great footage, we got great video, we saw awesome cars, the vibe was great.
- 5:03SPEAKER_02: And then we head straight out to this one.
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: And uh so far, I mean, I just see all the people, you know, enjoying the meet, enjoying walking around with their families.
- 5:13SPEAKER_02: It's a family-friendly event.
- 5:15SPEAKER_02: I mean, the car the car network has put this together uh in an amazing way.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: Uh and what we what I get out of this mainly is is the people.
- 5:25SPEAKER_02: I mean, looking at the cars, enjoying the builds, everybody puts a lot of uh different, you know, effort and things into into their builds, but the people that you meet is second to none.
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's you meet the owners, you meet, you know, the passionate people that really care about the car, the car culture in Houston.
- 5:45SPEAKER_02: And that's that's my favorite thing about about going that.
- 5:48Jeff Dziekan: You got a you got a fan right there?
- 5:50Jeff Dziekan: How's how's she connected to you there?
- 5:52Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, she's the wife.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: She's my beautiful wife, medley.
- 5:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we've been married for two years.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: There you go.
- 5:58SPEAKER_02: She's the boss, yeah.
- 5:59SPEAKER_02: I didn't want to say it that way.
- 6:00SPEAKER_02: I understand.
- 6:01SPEAKER_02: But we all understand it completely.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: No, but that's what what we love.
- 6:06SPEAKER_02: I mean, uh community is very important.
- 6:09SPEAKER_02: Uh we go to a lot of uh also classic shows.
- 6:13SPEAKER_02: Well, I saw you guys at the Houston Out of Body show in downtown.
- 6:17SPEAKER_02: That was great.
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: I didn't want to, you know, just come right into you, but I I was there uh so that was a great event.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: So we try to cover every single event.
- 6:27SPEAKER_02: Sometimes we go to uh four or five events uh per weekend.
- 6:32Don Armstrong: So, in other words, that you spend a lot of time at the Academy Shoe Department.
- 6:36SPEAKER_02: I do, I do.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: Because I believe me, you you know this walking around in this concrete grounds, yeah, it gets your shoes, definitely.
- 6:46Don Armstrong: And you know, this is uh really the sweet spot of the car show cruise in season.
- 6:52Don Armstrong: Yes, because as you all know, come July, July, August, September is too hot to do anything.
- 6:59Don Armstrong: You're gonna do it, you gotta do it at night.
- 7:01Don Armstrong: Then you gotta find someplace that's lit, and uh good luck in trying to find a place that's lit.
- 7:06Jeff Dziekan: Exactly, that will allow you to do that.
- 7:08Jeff Dziekan: Yes, a lot of places won't let you do that.
- 7:10Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, because of the old school, well not the old school, but what what happens today with the takeovers and all that, that's why people are shying away from it.
- 7:18SPEAKER_04: Yeah, there's too much liability.
- 7:21SPEAKER_04: But um this is great.
- 7:23SPEAKER_04: The weather's great.
- 7:24SPEAKER_04: We've got a lot of people wandering around looking at cars and just a lot of family looking people that are just out here enjoying being here.
- 7:31SPEAKER_04: And then you got us.
- 7:32SPEAKER_04: And then you got us sitting over on the side, kind of taking it all in.
- 7:36Jeff Dziekan: But we gotta we gotta roped off our stanchion roped off so the Russian people don't.
- 7:41Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, don't cry.
- 7:42Jeff Dziekan: I think it's great.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: That's great.
- 7:44Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, there's that.
- 7:46SPEAKER_02: But I I think that's uh that's important that you mentioned.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's important for the community to understand that if if we want to keep enjoying these type of events, they need to be respectful, they need to show up and then just enjoy everything without without uh you know being being crazy about it.
- 8:05SPEAKER_02: And and I think for the most part, people in Houston had had that understanding.
- 8:10SPEAKER_02: Um so I think it's it's great.
- 8:13SPEAKER_04: Generally speaking, car people know.
- 8:15SPEAKER_04: I mean, you can go up, you can look inside the door and stuff, make sure your belt buckle or your camera doesn't drop down and clang up against doors.
- 8:22SPEAKER_04: Car people know that and they respect the cars.
- 8:24SPEAKER_04: And and like you say, people that are interested generally are the same way.
- 8:28SPEAKER_04: Once in a while there'll be some knucklehead you need to don't don't sit on my hood or something like that to take the pictures of your girlfriend, you know.
- 8:35SPEAKER_04: Correct.
- 8:36SPEAKER_04: Something like that.
- 8:37SPEAKER_04: Crazy people.
- 8:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah, definitely.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: You don't believe me?
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: Why do you look at him?
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: He's like, Why do you look at me?
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 8:48Don Armstrong: I I had nothing to do with that.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: I know, but I I've seen that happen.
- 8:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 8:52SPEAKER_04: I didn't do that.
- 8:53SPEAKER_04: No, no, no, it wasn't you.
- 8:55Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, it's all once.
- 8:56Jeff Dziekan: I think you see that more on the hot rider side.
- 8:58Jeff Dziekan: These guys all understand because they've got certain lighting, they've got certain well, the part right here's got a uh a wrap near finish.
- 9:06Jeff Dziekan: Um there's there's different cultures.
- 9:09Don Armstrong: I was a little bit distracted, I have to admit, because that's a brand new Dodge.
- 9:14SPEAKER_04: I saw him backing in here.
- 9:15Don Armstrong: Yes, and um that's one that uh I have not seen in person.
- 9:20Don Armstrong: And uh yes, it does look like a challenger, and uh but it is awful big.
- 9:28Don Armstrong: Well, the challenger's big.
- 9:30SPEAKER_04: Well, but I mean that just I was thinking more of a charger, but it's a two-door, so it can't be a charger.
- 9:34Don Armstrong: Well, it can be.
- 9:35Don Armstrong: I don't know what they've done with their lineup because um they haven't schooled us on it.
- 9:41Don Armstrong: But um it's a two-door challenger or charger.
- 9:46Don Armstrong: I don't I don't know.
- 9:47Don Armstrong: But I'm sure that the person that's driving it knows.
- 9:50Don Armstrong: Brand new doesn't even have a dealer plate on it yet.
- 9:52Don Armstrong: So yes, I had to I had to check it out.
- 9:58Don Armstrong: Yes.
- 9:59Don Armstrong: Um well uh it's it's great to have you here, and um I know that the the knowledge is being absorbed as we speak.
- 10:08Don Armstrong: And you're going, why am I on this show?
- 10:12Jeff Dziekan: But here's one thing I need to point out.
- 10:14Jeff Dziekan: He said this young lady's his wife, so they're doing it as a family.
- 10:17Jeff Dziekan: What is that?
- 10:18Jeff Dziekan: There, you know, you you don't see a lot of you know men and women coming out here as a family to do that, so I just that's very cool.
- 10:26Don Armstrong: Well, there's there's the boys and the girls, the girl boyfriends and the girls.
- 10:31Jeff Dziekan: Women have their own clubs as well, and then that's good.
- 10:33Jeff Dziekan: And they usually beat us with them, but they're they have their own club.
- 10:36Jeff Dziekan: That kind of club, yes.
- 10:37Jeff Dziekan: Oh, different kind of club.
- 10:38Don Armstrong: Uh yeah, well, I got it.
- 10:40Jeff Dziekan: But I think that's great.
- 10:41Don Armstrong: Well, we appreciate you stopping by and talking to us.
- 10:44Don Armstrong: Thank you very much.
- 10:44Don Armstrong: It's great.

- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Yes, two wheels.
- 15:20Don Armstrong: Two wheels.
- 15:21Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 15:22Don Armstrong: So uh what do you got?
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: We are a uh bike group from Katie.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we we we we're based in Katie, but we go all over the place.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we uh we go to meets, uh we do car meets, car meets bike meets, car meets, and we also do events for like uh the community.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: So we did a birthday for a kid that had cancer.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: We went to a special uh to a special place where they uh they have special people, and then we we also did uh pretty nice.
- 15:54Don Armstrong: How many in the how many in the group?
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: In the group, it varies time to time because we invite everyone, so it's not just sport bikes, it's all kinds of motorcycles.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: So there's sometimes that there's uh 75 or plus or 100 or plus.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: So really is that your group that came through here this morning?
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: Yes, they're they're the ones that what what is considered a sport bike?
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: A sport bike at anything that goes over 120 miles.
- 16:20Don Armstrong: Anything that goes over 120 miles an hour on one wheel.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: Uh maybe well, some do one wheel, you know, but there was a time I've owned some motorcycles.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Have you?
- 16:32SPEAKER_04: Um never found a motorcycle I couldn't wreck.
- 16:35Don Armstrong: Couldn't wreck?
- 16:35Don Armstrong: Oh, that's great.
- 16:36Jeff Dziekan: You want to see some things?
- 16:37Jeff Dziekan: How about you, Jeffrey?
- 16:38Jeff Dziekan: I rode a little dirt bike when I was a kid, but it was just a short experience.
- 16:41Jeff Dziekan: I'm not a bike guy.
- 16:42Don Armstrong: I had a I had a Yamaha, I've had Honda, I've had all sorts of stuff.
- 16:47Don Armstrong: You've had road rash.
- 16:48Don Armstrong: Right.
- 16:49Don Armstrong: No, I actually didn't.
- 16:50Don Armstrong: No, I never had road rash.
- 16:52Don Armstrong: Thank God.
- 16:53Don Armstrong: I didn't have any of that.
- 16:54Don Armstrong: I guess I didn't live.
- 16:55Don Armstrong: I didn't push it to the limit because I don't think that there was a limit to this other than 35 miles an hour or whatever that thing would go.
- 17:02Don Armstrong: But uh that those many years ago.
- 17:05SPEAKER_04: First gear.
- 17:05Don Armstrong: Oh, yeah, first year.
- 17:06SPEAKER_04: There's one on here you guys want to try.
- 17:08SPEAKER_04: There's one, the small one here.
- 17:09Don Armstrong: No, I'm good.
- 17:11Don Armstrong: And and I I appreciate it.
- 17:13Don Armstrong: So um what what is the most popular sport bike going right now today that's affordable?
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, there's many uh popular bikes right now.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: The one that just came out is the R9.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: Uh Yamaha.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: It's a Yamaha.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: R9.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: So that one's that just came out.
- 17:32Don Armstrong: So they still make the Hayabusa?
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: They do.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: They do, but that one's expensive.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you got quite a bit.
- 17:39Don Armstrong: Well, I mean, because you know I got that kind of taste.
- 17:45Jeff Dziekan: Right.
- 17:45Jeff Dziekan: I did have a Huffy growing up.
- 17:47Jeff Dziekan: A Huffy, not that kind of bike.
- 17:49Jeff Dziekan: Upgraded to a swing.
- 17:50Jeff Dziekan: Oh my god.
- 17:51SPEAKER_04: Um so how big are these bikes, cubic inch wise?
- 17:55Don Armstrong: Well, not cubic inch.
- 17:56SPEAKER_04: Not CC, whatever.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: CCs?
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: Well, um, normally in our group, we don't have bigger bikes like that.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: It's normally like a thousand or less.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: Thousand or less.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: Most of the if they have a higher CCs, they like just to take off, you know.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: And we usually ride in a group.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: So we have a lead 650, 750.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: 6750, 1000, you know.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: And people have bigger bikes, they just take off or they don't wait for us.
- 18:20Don Armstrong: You know, does Honda build anything in uh your category?
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: Yes, they do.
- 18:24Don Armstrong: What is it?
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: The CBR 1000.
- 18:26Don Armstrong: So is it a is it a four-stroke?
- 18:29Don Armstrong: Uh yes.
- 18:30Don Armstrong: Yes, it's it is, it's four stroke.
- 18:32Jeff Dziekan: And um young guy like that, very knowledgeable about it.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: My head.
- 18:37Don Armstrong: Well, why wouldn't he be?
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: No, I have a Kawasaki 650.
- 18:41Don Armstrong: You have a Kawasaki 650.
- 18:44Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: So I don't I don't go that fast.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: So you're gonna laugh.
- 18:51Don Armstrong: I think that's okay you do laugh because back in my day.
- 18:54Jeff Dziekan: But I don't go that fast.
- 18:55Don Armstrong: When I when I got the urge to get in a motorcycle, I was in middle school.
- 19:00Don Armstrong: That was a long time ago.
- 19:02Don Armstrong: And the hot thing back then was the Honda 50.
- 19:06Jeff Dziekan: Oh wow.
- 19:07Don Armstrong: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 19:08Don Armstrong: My God, I looked, I looked for one of these things.
- 19:11Don Armstrong: I did ride one.
- 19:12Don Armstrong: You can very very rarely find one.
- 19:14Don Armstrong: If you do, oh my god, they're outrageously priced.
- 19:17Jeff Dziekan: Almost like a regular.
- 19:18Don Armstrong: And all of the kids that were my age, and I mean 15 years old, 14, something like that.
- 19:24Don Armstrong: Uh the kid got the bike because he made good grades in school.
- 19:28Don Armstrong: His dad gave it to him for a birthday present.
- 19:32Don Armstrong: And he was the bomb, man.
- 19:34Don Armstrong: Oh my god, he had a Honda 50.
- 19:36Don Armstrong: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:37Don Armstrong: Because, you know, back then, Honda was new to the United States, period.
- 19:42Don Armstrong: They didn't have cars, it was it was motorcycles, and that was it.
- 19:46Don Armstrong: And uh, it was the bomb, man, and everybody wanted that.
- 19:50Don Armstrong: So you've got to have some youngsters that are really into the sport bikes.
- 19:58Don Armstrong: What is the first bike that you would guess would be like a 14-15-year-old just got his driver's license?
- 20:06Don Armstrong: What would he go for?
- 20:08Don Armstrong: Something that would be affordable to him, obviously not necessarily new, but that's used, that he could pick up.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: Uh the 300 or 400 CCs.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: That's what uh mostly everyone starts on.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 20:20Don Armstrong: And it would be any particular brand?
- 20:22Don Armstrong: Yeah, any particular brand.
- 20:23Don Armstrong: Any brand.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: Any brand.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: Because every oh yeah, all brand, all mod all make they all make this uh 300 and 400 and 300.
- 20:30Don Armstrong: And so how much would something like that cost?
- 20:32Don Armstrong: Yamaha or Suzuki or whatever, name it.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: So whenever I first started riding, I had the 400 Kawasaki, and that was around 5,000.
- 20:42Jeff Dziekan: That's a lot of money.
- 20:43Jeff Dziekan: So where you talk you're looking for a bike.
- 20:45Jeff Dziekan: Mike's looking for a bike, he's a new rider.
- 20:47Jeff Dziekan: Do you go?
- 20:51Jeff Dziekan: Where would you go?
- 20:52Jeff Dziekan: Do you does one dealership carry all the brands?
- 20:54Jeff Dziekan: Do you go to a bike dealer that carries specifically Yamaha?
- 20:58Jeff Dziekan: Or you look online.
- 20:59Jeff Dziekan: Because you can go to a you can go to a Harley store and you see Harley's.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: But for sports bikes, they don't have uh specific sports.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: Like you if you go to Wild West or to uh uh different uh dealerships, they have all kinds of bikes.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: Including used ones?
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, including used ones.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: But normally if you want to use one, it's better to get it out of marketplace and not from a dealership.
- 21:20Don Armstrong: It'd be better if I were to offer anything, I would say find a club.
- 21:26Don Armstrong: Find out about the guys in the club, because everybody in the club, you know somebody that's selling a bike.
- 21:32Don Armstrong: So do you, so do you, so do you.
- 21:34Don Armstrong: And that's what I would do.
- 21:39Don Armstrong: I don't want one on some stock thing.
- 21:41Don Armstrong: I want something that's you know, off where the you know, he's got his uh exhaust system on it or he's got an intake system on training wheels.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: Because all the stuff that they put on it, like the saws, all the mods, yeah, the mods and everything.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: So there's some that they're worth more than the new ones.
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: So
- 22:00SPEAKER_04: So you need to talk again to his point.
- 22:03SPEAKER_04: You kind of need to talk to somebody like you to have a guide to say, okay, this this is a new bike for 5,000.
- 22:09SPEAKER_04: He wants 8,000 for it.
- 22:10SPEAKER_04: Is it worth 8,000 now with his mods and all that stuff?
- 22:13SPEAKER_04: You need to do things like that.
- 22:15Jeff Dziekan: And there's just not just not uh men in it.
- 22:19Jeff Dziekan: There's women that ride, and there's women that have cleaned up.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: My wife rides, she's right there.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: That's my wife right there.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: She rides uh and what do you have?
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: A faster bike than me.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: 1200 is 636.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: The 636 Owasaki.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: So that one is way faster than mine.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 22:39Don Armstrong: Do you have an automobile?
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 22:41Don Armstrong: What is that?
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: I have uh Audi A6 and I have uh Chevrolet.
- 22:47Don Armstrong: He's got an Audi A6.
- 22:49Jeff Dziekan: He's not paying attention.
- 22:52Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 22:53Don Armstrong: Good for you.
- 22:55Jeff Dziekan: Nice.
- 22:56Jeff Dziekan: Is it yours or is it hers?
- 22:58Jeff Dziekan: It's hers.
- 23:00Jeff Dziekan: You just glommed on, didn't you?
- 23:02Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 23:03Don Armstrong: I got that look in your eye.
- 23:04Don Armstrong: I know.
- 23:05Don Armstrong: I know you.
- 23:05Don Armstrong: I know you.
- 23:06Jeff Dziekan: She let me sit, didn't it?
- 23:09Don Armstrong: Exactly.
- 23:10Don Armstrong: Uh, you know, it it's uh it it it's interesting.
- 23:14Don Armstrong: Our cultures, we've so we've got the car guys here, then we got the bike people.
- 23:19Don Armstrong: But there's also that cross hatch where you got these car guys, yeah.
- 23:24Don Armstrong: I got a bike too.
- 23:25Don Armstrong: What do you got?
- 23:26Don Armstrong: Oh, I got that ten thousand dollar bike over there.
- 23:29Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 23:30Don Armstrong: You you you like motion, and uh that that's what it's all about.
- 23:34Don Armstrong: I mean, you like going to the races?
- 23:36Don Armstrong: What what if if you were gonna go to a race, what would it be?
- 23:40Don Armstrong: A car race or a bike race?
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: I'll do a bike race.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: Bike race.
- 23:45Don Armstrong: So Coda's got one.
- 23:46Don Armstrong: Is it this weekend?
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: It's uh this this month, yeah.
- 23:52Don Armstrong: Um I've never been to a bike race, especially at a track like Coda, but I've seen it on television.
- 23:59Don Armstrong: I'm going, oh hell no.
- 24:01Don Armstrong: No, I'm not doing that.
- 24:03Don Armstrong: I mean, I'll go fast in a car, but I'm not doing that on a bike.
- 24:07Don Armstrong: I might have sometime in my life earlier days, but not today.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:11Don Armstrong: You know, to me, I you know, I really don't even have a desire to get one of those great big gold wings or whatever.
- 24:18Don Armstrong: I got a friend of mine that has one of those.
- 24:20Don Armstrong: Oh, I love it, man.
- 24:22Don Armstrong: You can't even pick the thing up.
- 24:24Don Armstrong: You can't.
- 24:25Don Armstrong: Well, if it goes over on its side, you're done.
- 24:27Don Armstrong: You gotta get some help.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: They're heavy.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're heavy.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: No, I no longer know helmet.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, helmet.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: It has to be a helmet.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: We talk about wearing them on the desk here too.
- 24:39Don Armstrong: Well, I I will say this, and I don't want to be a Debbie Downer on it, but I fly in news helicopters, so uh I get to see some really ugly actions.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, yeah, all the time.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: Very ugly.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:49Don Armstrong: And uh no.
- 24:50Don Armstrong: So that that shaded me about going the motorcycle route.
- 24:55Don Armstrong: I'll stay in the car with the seatbelt.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: Well, that's the reason we started uh the the group, because we ride together to a place where we eat and there's they're not out there, you know, going fast.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: How often do you get out as a group?
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: We do Tuesday, Taco Tuesday.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: We do taco Thursday.
- 25:12Jeff Dziekan: And uh every day's a taco day.
- 25:17Jeff Dziekan: And uh kind of like Leslie going to Los Tills.
- 25:21SPEAKER_04: We only do it on the days that end and why.
- 25:23Jeff Dziekan: So I guess I'm trying to tell you do you like go out to the hill country for a day?
- 25:26Jeff Dziekan: Um ride like a half a day out and half a day through the day or something.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: We we're trying to plan that uh in the coming months to go out and on the country, you know, and and do that, you know.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: But uh for right now, since you know we just started the group, you know.
- 25:41Don Armstrong: So only the few bike crew, how do we find you online?
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: Uh there is an Instagram, uh, Instagram page, that's OTF, only the few.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: That's there.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: And then we also have a uh page.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: I see your shirt, you got it.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: Yes, uh yeah.
- 25:55Don Armstrong: So well I'm glad you all stopped by.
- 25:57Don Armstrong: It's great to learn about your group.
