- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks, Mill Jaguar's fans.
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome in to DoVolte Daily, presented by jingag.com, and fueled by brass tax coffee last day out here in Boston for we take to the high seas on a cruise here.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: So, getting into bold predictions.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's Saturday, October 3rd, I'm your host Jordan Lugo, and getting into bold predictions for Jaguars and Bengals.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: So, exciting game.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you have two teams in an AFC that feel like they are playoff competitors.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: You have two teams with dynamic offenses that feature some of the best quarterbacks in football.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: Incredibly talented receivers on both sides.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you look at Jamar Chase and T. Higgins.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: They kind of speak for themselves.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: You also got Mike just sick.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: You chase Brown out of the back field for the Bengals.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars just have a plethora of really talented guys, maybe not the same level as a Jamar Chase, but you know, Parker Washington, Jacobi Myers.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: Britain's strange, brand-timeish junior, basaltoon, it's an extremely talented group of skill position players on both sides in this game.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's always exciting.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna get into these bold predictions here.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe, and also hit that high button.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: So, starting with the Bingo's offense here, and I do think that the Jaguars are a type of defense
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: Personnel standpoint or from a schematic standpoint to just completely shut down the opposing offense for an entire day.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: When the opposing offense features, a Joe Burrow, a Jamar Chase, a T-Higgins.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: You haven't seen that a lot from this group.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: You've seen good games where they hold them to limited points and things of that nature.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: But you haven't seen just that full shutdown type of game.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: And that's difficult to achieve.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, Monterey Brown is questionable in this one.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see if he's able to go.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: You would like to have him, you didn't have him last year.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: But I've got Jamar Chase and T. Higgins, both a Clipsing 100 yards in this game.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how you consistently stop them.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguars can get stops on the defensive side of the ball.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think they can force some puns.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think they can force some turnovers.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't know how you just stop them down to down.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's going to be very difficult.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to be able to move the ball somehow and use through the air.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: So I've got those two guys, both are clipsing 100 yards.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: I've got Joe Burrow.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: 250 yards, three touchdowns.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to move the ball.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to put up some points through the air.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: Chase Brahm.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: This is where the Jaguar's defense
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: starts to think start to football.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: You're talking about 250 yards, three touchdowns.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: Both of your top receivers over 100 yards, that does not sound like recipe for victory, right?
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think that the Jaguars run defense helps them get off the field a good bit as they have throughout this year and throughout the last couple years.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Chase Brown is not able to eclipse
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: four yards per carry and this one and the bingles as a whole are not able to eclipse four yards per carry and running in the you know mid to high threes is just a difficult place for an offense to stay on schedule to stay on time.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: That leads to some third and mediums, some third and longs, and the Jaguars do a better job in that situation than they did early in the season and they did against the Broncos a couple weeks ago that do it a little bit
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: and get off the field at times for some turnovers.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: I've got Travis Hunter, you know, this is bold predictions, right?
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: I've got Travis Hunter getting his second interception in this game, and I've got it for a pick six.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that is a distinct possibility that there's been multiple, like it seems like every game he's been close to getting his hands on the football, and I think it's just a matter of time before that pick six happens, or fumble six happens, whatever it may be.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to put it out there into the universe.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter picks six in this game.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: I definitely think he's going to get his hands on the football.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: That's just been a consistent through line throughout these games so far.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to capitalize right and catch the ball when it comes to him.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: He did that last week.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the bingles are going to have no choice but to throw his way at times.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: And the more often you give Travis Hunter opportunities, the more often he's going to make a big play.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: I feel confident about that one.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: So Travis Hunter, I've got a second interception in a pick six.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think Josh Heinz Allen, he's going to make a really tough for Joe Burrow here.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of folks are kind of down on Josh Heinz Allen right now.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: I still think he had a great game last week.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think he had a really poor game in Denver.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: We before that week one had a very good game against the Browns.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Heinz Allen against Orlando Brown is a match, a mismatch.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's a match-up.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar should be able to win if the Bengals give a lot of one-on-one opportunities to Josh Heinz Allen and clear past-wrestling situations.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's gonna make it tough on Burrow.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: I've got him with a sack and a half in Cincinnati to make things very difficult in some of these moments where it's high leverage, it's a big moment in the game.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think Josh Hines Allen helps out a lot.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think Travis Hunter helps out a lot.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: I have a lot of confidence in Trayvon Walker, right?
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted to focus on the Josh Hines Allen and Orlando Brown matchup,
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: But his primary matchups can be against a Marius Mims.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be a little bit more difficult in my opinion.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: Marius Mims is playing really good football.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: He's an absolute freak show.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think Trayvon will get his numbers.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: He will make his impact, but it's not going to be quite as flashy as some of his games have been.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: I've got the Jaguars popping a return of 50 plus yards.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they've got the guys to do it.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think they've got the special teams coaching to do it.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that that's the type of thing that can really swing momentum for you in a road environment.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: And beyond that,
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: When we talk about some of the turnovers, I expect multiple turnovers for the Jaguar's defense forcing, and then also a 50 plus yard return, that leads to some short fields, and the Jaguar's offense is one of the best and football, actually second best in the NFL when it comes to red zone touchdown percentage.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think you give them short fields and that makes it very difficult for you as a team to stop the Jaguars often.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: So I think the Jaguars often is capitalizes a lot on some short fields.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think Bachelton has his first 100-yard rushing day for the Jaguars in this one.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: The Bingo's run defense is simply not good.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: And the best part of their run defense is Dexter Lawrence.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars rushing attack is best when it's moving
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: hitting the B-Gap, hitting the C-Gap, getting these guys on the move.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think you help mitigate that a little bit with getting on the move, the Dexter Lawrence show.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think you help mitigate that a little bit with extra attention for Dexter Lawrence and basial tuten again against the team that's allowing 4.7 yards per carry on the ground has himself a day and the Jaguar's really lean on that in a situation where you are on the road in a situation where it's difficult to communicate pre-snap and things like that.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I think you'll find a lot of success here on offense.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, Trevor Lawrence, I think he has a very efficient day through the air against a banged-up secondary for the Bengals secondary that even went at full strength has not looked great this year.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I've got, you know, Parker watched and Jacobian Myers, Britain Strange, Brian Thomas Jr. leading the way, yes, I did include Brian Thomas Jr. there.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think that BTJ is due for a good one.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: It was really rough last year in Cincinnati for Brian Thomas Jr.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think he comes out and writes those wrongs a little bit and plays good football for this Jaguar's offense.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: But ultimately, I think that the Jaguar's offense is now more prepared for what a defense can do to you.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: When you expect a defense to run a lot of man coverage, when you expect a defense to do this and then they present that, I think that that was a big experience for the Jaguar's, not only in Denver, but also against the Patriots last week,
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: kind of presented some man stuff, ran a lot of man prior to those matchups and then did a lot of zone.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think the Jaguars are in a better spot to potentially overcome what the bingles might be able to throw at them from a...
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to call it, you know, tendency breaking standpoint.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguars will be in a better spot for that, even though it is on the road and communication will be difficult.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're more prepared for those situations than they were just a couple weeks ago, just based off the experience they've had in the last couple weeks.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars, they forced more turnovers in this game.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: They are more efficient in the red zone.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: As I mentioned, the Jaguars are second in the NFL and touchdown percentage in the red zone.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: The bingles are tied for 21st.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars run the ball better because they have the better rushing attack and because they have the better run defense.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: They win on special teams and they win through the air.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that the Jaguars have themselves a tough game.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: I had a tough road atmosphere.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Incredible passing attack with Joe Burrow, T-Higgins, Jamar Chase.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Wars are able to overcome all that and win 34-24-24.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think they know what's at stake here, which it's not like a must-win game or anything like that.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: We have an AFC opponent.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know what happened in Cincinnati last year, you still have kind of a little sour taste in your mouth left from that.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: You want to stay in the hunt for the number one seed.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: You've got a couple tough games coming up in London, going to London with a win under your belt, any three-in-one record would really set you up in a nice way, moving forward.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguars have the better coaching staff and the more complete team and they're going to show it tomorrow when they take on the Cincinnati Mingles.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in.
