- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 0:23Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 0:28Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over

- 0:39Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will

- 1:00Speaker 3: So we posted last week couple weeks ago that Biden
- 1:04Speaker 3: announced to cancel more than five million dollars and student
- 1:06Speaker 3: loan debt, more money additional and a lot of people
- 1:09Speaker 3: you know they was confused. They're like, well, I don't
- 1:11Speaker 3: know anybody that has received any cancelations doing loans and
- 1:14Speaker 3: people it was like, well I actually did receive cancel
- 1:17Speaker 3: I saw the comments.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, So.
- 1:18Speaker 3: What exactly what exactly happened and who actually benefits from this?
- 1:23Speaker 4: So here's what's going to happen. We're going to see
- 1:25Speaker 4: more and more headlines like five billion, five. We're going
- 1:28Speaker 4: to just see all these headlines because it's coming up.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Anybody know, election, So this is going to be the
- 1:36Speaker 4: carrot if you will, to get people to re elect
- 1:38Speaker 4: in terms of our age groups. So you figure anywhere
- 1:41Speaker 4: from like age thirty to like fifty five, the student
- 1:44Speaker 4: loan carrot is definitely going to keep being pulled. So
- 1:47Speaker 4: he did actually give out money, and I do know
- 1:50Speaker 4: from my community a lot of people been in from it.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Now let's talk about who benefited from it the most.
- 1:57Speaker 4: You probably were over age forty five. You probably were
- 2:01Speaker 4: in school like nineteen ninety five to two thousand, because
- 2:04Speaker 4: there was a time period around that type of money
- 2:06Speaker 4: that he gave out. And the term here is called
- 2:08Speaker 4: income driven repayment. They were looking to see were you
- 2:13Speaker 4: in school in repayment? For twenty twenty five years. And
- 2:17Speaker 4: then here's the thing. They even made some exclusions. Let's
- 2:20Speaker 4: say you weren't in repayment, but you had loans that
- 2:24Speaker 4: amount of time in repayment they hit for forgiven. Well,
- 2:28Speaker 4: we might get into it, but there was a big
- 2:30Speaker 4: glitch that occurred recently too. So even though they put
- 2:33Speaker 4: the headline out there about the five I think it
- 2:35Speaker 4: was billion, right, billion, we're using terms of billions.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Now we saying billions, billion, five.
- 2:41Speaker 4: The challenge is is that there were about over nine
- 2:44Speaker 4: million people left out in that last round. So this
- 2:47Speaker 4: is the first time ever that they actually made an
- 2:49Speaker 4: announcement that they messed up. I was very big with
- 2:53Speaker 4: the Department Education.
- 2:53Speaker 5: I feel like they always messing up.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Well, they actually said they did it though, So what
- 2:57Speaker 4: happened was there's literally what they did is they push it.
- 2:59Speaker 4: But it's like a real one button, and if you
- 3:02Speaker 4: qualify according to their system, you would have got the email,
- 3:05Speaker 4: you get the letter. Things go into perspective, well, a
- 3:08Speaker 4: lot of people, over nine million people got skipped because
- 3:11Speaker 4: if you had just consolidated a few years prior or
- 3:15Speaker 4: you know how all these loans are being transferred to
- 3:17Speaker 4: different lenders. The lenders aren't showing the full loan history,
- 3:21Speaker 4: so a lot of people accidentally got skipped.
- 3:24Speaker 5: So who would the lenders that that would qualify, because
- 3:27Speaker 5: I know, I mean, any federal.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Letters can qualify. But the problem is is, let's give
- 3:33Speaker 4: it a good example. You know how everybody went from
- 3:35Speaker 4: FED loans to Mohilia that was in the public service
- 3:38Speaker 4: long forgiveness. Well, just because you went over to Mohilla
- 3:40Speaker 4: doesn't mean all your history went with you. And there
- 3:43Speaker 4: used to be an old system if your education you'll
- 3:45Speaker 4: know it called NSLDS. It actually used to be open
- 3:49Speaker 4: to the public until the pandemic. We all could have
- 3:52Speaker 4: looked at everybody's loan history on that site. Colleges and
- 3:57Speaker 4: universities use it. Now it's a private side, so if
- 4:01Speaker 4: you want what's called your pre conversion record, you have
- 4:04Speaker 4: to request it from the Department of Education. Now it's
- 4:08Speaker 4: very so it's very elusive and it's actually not beneficial
- 4:12Speaker 4: to just the everyday person to be able to track
- 4:14Speaker 4: their progress. You used to contract how long you were
- 4:17Speaker 4: in for bearans for payment in school. Those are the
- 4:20Speaker 4: type of pieces of information you need to fight for
- 4:23Speaker 4: yourself to get your loans forgiven.
- 4:25Speaker 3: So okay, so how do you apply for that?
- 4:30Speaker 5: For This episode is brought to you by P and

- 7:19Speaker 2: Will be protected sponsored by the United States Department of
- 7:21Speaker 2: Homeland Security.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Pre conversion or which part did Joe Biden what he
- 7:25Speaker 3: just did?
- 7:26Speaker 4: Okay, So if you missed it, a lot of people
- 7:28Speaker 4: missed it, Like I said, over nine million people missed it.
- 7:31Speaker 4: What you would have to do is file a complaint.
- 7:33Speaker 4: So we actually have something we're putting together and we've
- 7:35Speaker 4: been helping people one on one file a complaint. So
- 7:38Speaker 4: the cool thing about it is is that it's going
- 7:41Speaker 4: to take them about let's say three to six months
- 7:44Speaker 4: from now, with December December, so three to six months
- 7:49Speaker 4: from now, they're going to literally go through each person's complaint.
- 7:51Speaker 4: So that department is called the Obuzman Group. They'll look
- 7:54Speaker 4: through they'll say, hey, we shout out, You're right, you
- 7:57Speaker 4: should have been forgiven. We didn't see your pre conversion,
- 8:00Speaker 4: your record from prior. Some people will be so no,
- 8:02Speaker 4: let's say you were in grad school for forever. You
- 8:04Speaker 4: weren't in repayment. Then, so you have to literally submit
- 8:09Speaker 4: a complaint through student aid dot gov. Right, And it
- 8:12Speaker 4: can't be like I'm upset y'all didn't forgive me, so
- 8:19Speaker 4: they're going to close it out. It has to be
- 8:21Speaker 4: thought out, and you should even like highlight or be
- 8:24Speaker 4: prepared to say if you know which loans you believe
- 8:27Speaker 4: could be forgiven, so spend a little time on it.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Gotcha? Gotcha?
- 8:31Speaker 5: So that was for the nine million people, the biggest one.
- 8:34Speaker 5: And when you came in, you're like, try how your
- 8:36Speaker 5: loan's doing.
- 8:38Speaker 4: I just knew you was going to say they were going.
- 8:39Speaker 4: I was excited.
- 8:41Speaker 5: Well, there's some confusion around, right, because I feel like
- 8:43Speaker 5: they make a mistakes. So the public service loan forgiveness. Yes,
- 8:46Speaker 5: so there's a couple of things around it. Let's just
- 8:48Speaker 5: explain to the people again what that is. And then
- 8:50Speaker 5: I know there's a bunch of dates. So I even
- 8:52Speaker 5: I get the emails like, hey, this is expiring by
- 8:55Speaker 5: the October, so we'll start there and then we'll dive
- 8:58Speaker 5: into the some of the miss conceptions and confusion around
- 9:01Speaker 5: the public service lover.
- 9:02Speaker 4: So just depending on the audience that's watching this, most people,
- 9:06Speaker 4: I would say, just even think about your events are
- 9:09Speaker 4: between thirty and fifty. Would you say that's about right?
- 9:11Speaker 2: Yep.
- 9:11Speaker 4: So if you're between forty and fifty, you got to
- 9:14Speaker 4: be careful here. You want to log in the studenta
- 9:16Speaker 4: dot gov and you want to look at your loans
- 9:18Speaker 4: click view details, and you want to see if it
- 9:21Speaker 4: says that you have a direct loan, very important. If
- 9:24Speaker 4: you have what's called a f f ELP loan, that's
- 9:27Speaker 4: not going to work. So it has to be direct loan.
- 9:30Speaker 4: That's all you need to know. Then you'll be eligible
- 9:32Speaker 4: for any forgiveness programs coming up, even by the loan forgiveness.
- 9:36Speaker 4: But they're doing something really really I don't want to
- 9:38Speaker 4: say sneaky, but one email went out about it. If
- 9:41Speaker 4: you have an f f el P loan, you have
- 9:44Speaker 4: until December thirty first.
- 9:46Speaker 5: This year this year to apply to apply.
- 9:50Speaker 4: Or you will never get anything forgiven. This is a
- 9:54Speaker 4: heavy word to say never, okay, but the administration is
- 9:58Speaker 4: said you will never might there be using because here's
- 10:01Speaker 4: what's going to happen.
- 10:02Speaker 3: So this will come out in January.
- 10:03Speaker 4: So this is just for so okay, So if you
- 10:07Speaker 4: had watched this, you know, and I'm not to be funny,
- 10:13Speaker 4: but I would really hope that they're leaning on that
- 10:16Speaker 4: and they sometimes make extensions because I'm not trying to
- 10:18Speaker 4: be funny when I say only one email has gone
- 10:20Speaker 4: on about this. So what will happen is is if
- 10:24Speaker 4: somebody's watching this in January, good to know you will
- 10:27Speaker 4: want to if you have missed this information, you will
- 10:30Speaker 4: want to contact the Department Education, not your lender, and
- 10:33Speaker 4: see if there's any way that you can get an extension. Now,
- 10:36Speaker 4: what might happen, which is important to note go to
- 10:39Speaker 4: student A dot got for this update. There may be
- 10:42Speaker 4: an extension given because when we look at the data,
- 10:45Speaker 4: that's over ten million people, and we know that there's
- 10:48Speaker 4: forty three million barbers. Ten million are going to be
- 10:50Speaker 4: excluded from forgiveness forever because of their will.
- 10:52Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 10:56Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Elsu accused
- 11:01Speaker 1: of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with filming
- 11:05Speaker 1: and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just some
- 11:09Speaker 1: of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President Donald J.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States Secretary of
