Monasterio’s Heroics Seal Red Sox Win | Oakland News
Red Sox rally in the 10th to stun the A’s 4-2, with Andrew Monasterio’s clutch two-run homer sealing the win after a brutal 10-game road skid. Caleb Durbin and Jahmal Jones also delivered, including Jones’ solo shot. Jonah Heim hit his 300th homer for the A’s, but it wasn’t enough as Aroldis Chapman (his 900th appearance) earned the win and Greg Weissert the save. Patrick Sandoval made a strong return after Tommy John surgery, pitching five innings. Boston’s Sonny Gray takes the mound today to close out the series.
