- 0:59Speaker 3: It is knock on the door.
- 1:01Speaker 4: But what I find is, and I think it's because
- 1:03Speaker 4: I eat so much at the end of the day,
- 1:06Speaker 4: maybe my body processes that at night, and it's really
- 1:09Speaker 4: to release.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Such a good way to do it is you get
- 1:11Speaker 2: all your food or your energy and that, and then
- 1:14Speaker 2: you have it before being and then you go to
- 1:15Speaker 2: sleep exactly and then you.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Back it all out.
- 1:19Speaker 3: It's really.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Why do we have such a massive dinner and most
- 1:24Speaker 1: of the time, like a lot of people skip brecky
- 1:26Speaker 1: like I quite often do when that's when you kind
- 1:28Speaker 1: of need the most energy.
- 1:29Speaker 3: It's true, Yeah, that's true. My wife's very good like that.
- 1:32Speaker 4: She has a very hearty breakfast. She such a good eater.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Man, she's so healthy. She you're hiding that and that,
- 1:41Speaker 3: but you know she's just cheap. But then her demise
- 1:44Speaker 3: of sugar that was her old chunkies. Yeah right, not
- 1:47Speaker 3: like you. You hate it. I hate that. I won't
- 1:51Speaker 3: go near it.
- 1:52Speaker 1: My mine's grilled cheese. Man, just growless, savory ship. I
- 1:56Speaker 1: don't care about chocolate.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Mine's ass my eye, I never used to cure it.
- 2:02Speaker 4: I'm savory too, mind peanut butter and toast?
- 2:05Speaker 3: Is it chocolate? I can only eat so much chocolate,
- 2:10Speaker 3: and I go, oh, it's just not doing it for me, right?
- 2:13Speaker 1: Is this like guilty pleasure stuff?
- 2:14Speaker 4: Right?
- 2:14Speaker 1: Because you're probably be perving out the window here as well.
- 2:18Speaker 3: What fucking hell?
- 2:22Speaker 1: No, sorry, man that was came out of nowhere.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Yeah sure, yeah, yeah, but yes, no I hear pood
- 2:28Speaker 4: So everyone relaxed having said that, I feel one fringing?
- 2:31Speaker 3: Do you? Yeah? I don't know why that is? Is
- 2:33Speaker 3: it an eating today?
- 2:34Speaker 1: Have you not eaten?
- 2:35Speaker 3: No?
- 2:36Speaker 2: I saw that hit chat. What you bet you've eaten something?
- 2:40Speaker 2: You haven't eaten nothing all day?
- 2:42Speaker 3: No?
- 2:42Speaker 1: Nothing, you've been ab since what five thirty?
- 2:45Speaker 4: No?
- 2:45Speaker 3: About now? It was about quarter past sex And there's
- 2:51Speaker 3: why I had a very I didn't. I don't believe
- 2:54Speaker 3: I think you've eaten something. I haven't eaten anything.
- 2:57Speaker 4: I I've had two cops. I even haven't even had
- 3:00Speaker 4: a nice coffee today.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Have you had a dart?
- 3:03Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 3:03Speaker 4: Heaps, But it was one of those I poorly managed time,
- 3:07Speaker 4: was what it was today. It takes ages like going
- 3:10Speaker 4: on that I had to deal with. Yeah, didn't quite
- 3:13Speaker 4: get round to it. And then I was driving and
- 3:15Speaker 4: going should I buy a pie?
- 3:16Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 3:16Speaker 3: And then I went no, I don't want to need
- 3:17Speaker 3: a fucking pie. Why not? They're good? Geezy, you'll buy
- 3:20Speaker 3: me some skillers during the show, Yeah, some skiers, I
- 3:23Speaker 3: do it.
- 3:23Speaker 1: See this is what's happening here? Is you guys, you're
- 3:25Speaker 1: not going to eat until four thirty, which is when
- 3:28Speaker 1: the shoe sushi man puts a sushi on half price,
- 3:30Speaker 1: and you're gonna go over there, come back and say, oh,
- 3:32Speaker 1: you had fucking shit selection, and then just seed it anyway.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Yeah it sounds right. Yeah, it's probably quite.
- 3:38Speaker 1: A spend three dollars in the diss it the whole
- 3:42Speaker 1: Arky Big Show week days from four on Radio Hurdarky,
- 3:49Speaker 1: remember they Big Show podcast.
- 3:51Speaker 2: He's trying to get out of there a bit earlier
- 3:53Speaker 2: now he is. It's pre packing and it's just the
- 3:56Speaker 2: worst selection. It's like fifty things, like some of the
- 3:59Speaker 2: stuff you want, but most of it you know what, Yes,
- 4:02Speaker 2: you don't. He can't decide what I want when I
- 4:04Speaker 2: walk through that door, sot on there and I go, ah,
- 4:10Speaker 2: he should just leave it all on the big tray.
- 4:12Speaker 2: He should, you know, and you just you know, you
- 4:14Speaker 2: do do ship. There should be one big train and
- 4:16Speaker 2: then at the end of it he can just close it. Yes,
- 4:19Speaker 2: you can just close it. Yes, you see what I'm saying.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Will he close it?
- 4:23Speaker 3: So?
- 4:23Speaker 2: Well, what he wants to do is save it overnight, right,
- 4:26Speaker 2: so he's got it all there that I don't see
- 4:29Speaker 2: why not.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't rice like cooked rice really bad for.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I often the oldest rice on the planet. It's sweet,
- 4:35Speaker 2: there's around there. I'd like to know if somebody that
- 4:37Speaker 2: I ate rice and got cropped, because I've never heard
- 4:39Speaker 2: of it, i'd I mean possibly I've heard that too.
- 4:42Speaker 4: I haven't never experienced it myself. I've had rice from
- 4:45Speaker 4: his place. It's fucking old, you know, really, yes, and
- 4:49Speaker 4: I've gone, oh, that's stale as fat right.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I remember I had a flat where a made of
- 4:54Speaker 1: mine would buy a bag of rice, cook it all,
- 4:57Speaker 1: put it in tupp with containers, and freeze it. So
- 4:59Speaker 1: the whenever he needed to have rice with something for dinner,
- 5:02Speaker 1: just get it out in the morning and have rice
- 5:03Speaker 1: from like three months ago that he froze. He never
- 5:05Speaker 1: got sick.
- 5:06Speaker 3: It's so fucking disgusting.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I only just cook it like a human being.
- 5:13Speaker 2: It is.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Well, you have to get a rice cocker. That's the key, yea.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Even then, rice cocker is the ship rice cockers as.
- 5:19Speaker 4: That was a change my life because we ate a
- 5:21Speaker 4: lot of rice in our family and I never quite
- 5:25Speaker 4: nailed cooking rice correctly, and I tried every fucking technique.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Then I got a rice cocker, do douche de douche,
- 5:32Speaker 4: bit of water, turn it.
- 5:33Speaker 3: On beautiful, turns itself off itself clean.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Key, especially with all the Asian cuisine you eat.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I do it a lot of Asian cuisine, and we
- 5:44Speaker 1: have rice probably i'd say three nights out of five
- 5:47Speaker 1: we'd have something with rice or couscouse. And it depends
- 5:52Speaker 1: on what Hello box.
- 5:54Speaker 2: We do a lot of coosecouse, roasted es magie, right,
- 5:58Speaker 2: and that comes with your box.
- 5:59Speaker 3: I don't get boxes off the box.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I'm sick of I'm sick of the box.
- 6:04Speaker 3: We're off the box.
- 6:07Speaker 1: It just it just tastes very similar. But the thing
- 6:10Speaker 1: that surprised me about box rice is it'll be like,
- 6:14Speaker 1: get your pot up to the boil, right, and it'll
- 6:16Speaker 1: put your rice in for ten minutes, yeah, and then
- 6:19Speaker 1: turn it off completely and leave the lid on the
- 6:21Speaker 1: pot and just put the pot over there for ten minutes.
- 6:25Speaker 1: It has to be exactly like two two and a
- 6:26Speaker 1: half cups of water. And then as soon as after
- 6:28Speaker 1: ten minutes, you lift the lid and your rice is
- 6:31Speaker 1: ready to go. You don't even drain it or anything.
- 6:33Speaker 1: It's just the right amount of water to so down. Yeah,
- 6:35Speaker 1: and it works every time.
- 6:36Speaker 3: My wife buys those pouches.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I like those.
- 6:39Speaker 3: They're really good man.
- 6:40Speaker 4: You literally put them in for two minutes and it's
- 6:43Speaker 4: good to go.
- 6:44Speaker 2: You're amazing And we had a good stint on those.
- 6:46Speaker 2: The problem with it is the outrageous pricing.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Sure.
- 6:50Speaker 2: And then the second thing is when you microwave that shit,
- 6:53Speaker 2: it infuses all of the rice with plastic. Yes, you
- 6:56Speaker 2: get plastic in your DNA, so that's the thing you
- 6:59Speaker 2: want to be avoiding. But yeah, I love them the most.
- 7:01Speaker 2: It tastes good. Eh, that's good eat. And it's just
- 7:04Speaker 2: easy and a bit more plastic. What do I care
- 7:07Speaker 2: to be fair?
- 7:07Speaker 1: That's a genius thing, right, because rice is really cheap. Yeah,
- 7:10Speaker 1: and so put it in little bags and charge like
- 7:12Speaker 1: three bucks.
- 7:13Speaker 2: It's more expensive to buy one of those things than
- 7:15Speaker 2: it does a kilo of normal rice. That's right, crazy
- 7:18Speaker 2: do you how about that? For facts?
- 7:19Speaker 3: Man? Those are just cold hard thing.
- 7:21Speaker 4: I nearly bought a big sack of rice at the
- 7:22Speaker 4: Asian supermarket the other day.
- 7:24Speaker 1: You just say supermarket, that'd be no.
- 7:26Speaker 3: It was New Zealand's biggest Asian supermarket. How tour was he?
- 7:31Speaker 3: And what you know, the annoying thing about.
- 7:34Speaker 2: It is that you were having to deal with people
- 7:36Speaker 2: that aren't from New Zealand.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Annoying thing about the supermaggel Asian people as a whole.
- 7:40Speaker 3: They have like they have like a meat section they
- 7:45Speaker 3: well the.
- 7:45Speaker 4: SUPERMARKA and they have like a seafood section.
- 7:50Speaker 2: This sounds that this fuck me off too. You're kidding me, right,
- 7:53Speaker 2: it means like a normal supermarket. And when I say normal,
- 7:55Speaker 2: I mean what why?
- 8:00Speaker 3: Wait?
- 8:02Speaker 4: So we did our sharp and we've got some meat,
- 8:03Speaker 4: We've got a bit of seafood, blah blah blah.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Oh gods.
- 8:06Speaker 4: We go up to the counter to pay for it
- 8:09Speaker 4: and it's like, oh no, you have to pay for
- 8:10Speaker 4: it at the meat section and at the fish section, right,
- 8:14Speaker 4: So I was like, oh, for fox sakes, go all
- 8:16Speaker 4: the way back, all.
- 8:17Speaker 2: The way back and the biggest Asians away supermarket.
- 8:22Speaker 4: And the really good thing is too, is because you
- 8:25Speaker 4: know they have English on the well just because I.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Don't know what I'm buying.
- 8:29Speaker 1: The weird thing about that you said you speak Chinese yesterday.
- 8:32Speaker 2: But the thing about it is is that you love
- 8:35Speaker 2: it when they put the little English subtitles on the
- 8:38Speaker 2: foods at the Asian supermarkets. But as soon as they
- 8:41Speaker 2: put like moldy names on streets and all that sort
- 8:44Speaker 2: of thing, you fucking blow up.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I do, because I'm a massive fucking racist.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Whereabouts is that it's fascinating, key, because that's fascinating. I
- 8:59Speaker 1: haven't been out there to see the big what's it called,
- 9:02Speaker 1: the big.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Costco Costco from America.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I want to go see that because it's probably the
- 9:08Speaker 1: fizz around that's probably dried up a wee bit. And
- 9:09Speaker 1: I might go do that one week in and go
- 9:11Speaker 1: see a good way, to be honest. That's the sort
- 9:15Speaker 1: of thing my wife and I would probably right, Well,
- 9:16Speaker 1: this is.
- 9:17Speaker 4: I fucking hate west Gate for a sap. But the
- 9:20Speaker 4: Costco thing, that's interesting, hasn't it. You pay sixty bucks
- 9:23Speaker 4: for the year, right, and then you can go in
- 9:25Speaker 4: and buy whatever you want for.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Cheap for cheap membership.
- 9:30Speaker 4: But it's all like bull shit, yeah, which we don't
- 9:33Speaker 4: need bulkshit now.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Well, like my mate went there and he's like, I
- 9:36Speaker 1: went unto his house and here's a slut. Look how
- 9:39Speaker 1: big this cheese is? And he pulled out like a
- 9:42Speaker 1: giant cheap block of cheese.
- 9:43Speaker 3: He board.
- 9:43Speaker 1: He's like, and I got golf balls, and I'm like,
- 9:46Speaker 1: where are you getting.
- 9:46Speaker 2: A giant cheese Kramer did on Seinfeld what he went
- 9:51Speaker 2: to one of those cost.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Ship and it all comes in bowl, Kate. It's just
- 9:57Speaker 1: and it all just goes off before you all. Yeah,
- 9:59Speaker 1: And so my mates, including Maniah as well, they're all
- 10:02Speaker 1: just using the Costco brand of golf balls because we've
- 10:05Speaker 1: fucking lose them all anyway, so you can't even tell.
- 10:08Speaker 1: But like even they've got gloves, golf like, all this
- 10:10Speaker 1: sort of ship all from Costco. So I want to
- 10:12Speaker 1: go see this magical place that has everything.
- 10:15Speaker 4: Tell you what we went to today, Jeff'symporium.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Oh, yes, that's a fuck that was depressing. No Lincoln
- 10:23Speaker 3: Road that started up north.
- 10:25Speaker 4: There was another guy, I think his name was Garrett
- 10:27Speaker 4: Gary and he started Garry's and Porium. True, this is true,
- 10:32Speaker 4: and all his family went, fuck, that's a great idea.
- 10:35Speaker 3: And so there's Gary's.
- 10:37Speaker 4: There was an article on there's something down south that's
- 10:40Speaker 4: like Andy Andy's and Porium, and they're all over the
- 10:44Speaker 4: country and they're all kind of family members in total.
- 10:46Speaker 1: At the Mount we had Bernie's Bizarre, which was great.
- 10:51Speaker 1: It was like a bizarre, like a market. Yeah, it's
- 10:55Speaker 1: I used to buy all my Pokemon figurines.
- 10:57Speaker 4: But it was one of those places Jeff's and and
- 11:00Speaker 4: that my wife loves.
- 11:01Speaker 3: And I just like, I was like, fuck, this is
- 11:03Speaker 3: this sucks.
- 11:05Speaker 1: It's so depreciated to a drive by on a small
- 11:08Speaker 1: New Zealand business.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I reckon, it's a fucking ribbon and fucking garbage landfill.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Fucking cloth. But it's great. It's going great. Gun anyway,
- 11:19Speaker 3: you're enjoying the election today, man, I'm not watching it, mate,
- 11:22Speaker 3: Yeah you're good. It's not looking good. I'll say that, Jase.
- 11:28Speaker 3: I'll just say mate.
- 11:29Speaker 2: It always starts this way and then that's it's the
- 11:32Speaker 2: Blue States towards the end, all right, Yeah, okay, it's
- 11:35Speaker 2: just the way it and the male in vote and
- 11:37Speaker 2: the male and.
- 11:38Speaker 1: The female ins geezy, come on, man. So I'm just
- 11:42Speaker 1: trying to make light of this election chat. Hey, listen
- 11:45Speaker 1: to the Hockey Big Show four seven weekdays. It's bloody
- 11:47Speaker 1: ripper man, It's really good.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Don't
