Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York.
- 0:03Speaker 2: It's the Mark Simone Show on sevent tenor.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hey, it's Monday. It's beautiful outside. What a weekend with
- 0:15Speaker 1: that smoke and that those wildfires that dirty built. The
- 0:21Speaker 1: air has gone away. Hang on, let me check the AQI.
- 0:25Speaker 1: That's the air quality in next fifty six. Okay, that's
- 0:28Speaker 1: that's not the greatest, but that's fine. Fifty six is fine.
- 0:31Speaker 1: It was up to two seventy at one point Thursday night.
- 0:36Speaker 1: It was really dangerous to be out there. Air quality
- 0:38Speaker 1: is better. You can go out. It's going to be
- 0:40Speaker 1: a beautiful sunny day, eighty degrees today. We'll get to
- 0:45Speaker 1: crazy Mom, Donnie his looney. He's going to arrest net
- 0:50Speaker 1: and Yahoo. Why that's absolutely impossible and how stupid he
- 0:54Speaker 1: is not to understand that. We'll get to that. Coming up.
- 0:57Speaker 1: We'll get to the World Cup, thank god it's over.
- 1:00Speaker 1: We'll get to President Trump, Canada, the wildfires, We'll get
- 1:04Speaker 1: to Iran. We'll get to crazy AOC speaking of crazy
- 1:09Speaker 1: Rosie O'Donnell is back in the United States all over
- 1:12Speaker 1: the place. Now we'll get to Bill Maher and a
- 1:15Speaker 1: whole lot more coming up. So the wildfires coming from
- 1:19Speaker 1: Canada ruined a good part of the weekend for a
- 1:23Speaker 1: lot of people. It is not necessary to have these wildfires.
- 1:27Speaker 1: It can be prevented. Canada has these massive forests northern Canada,
- 1:34Speaker 1: and they climate change nutjobs took over in Canada and
- 1:39Speaker 1: they stopped a few years ago doing forest management. If
- 1:44Speaker 1: you do the correct forest management, you don't have the
- 1:47Speaker 1: wildfires spread. You're always going to get them, but you
- 1:50Speaker 1: need to do certain This same thing happened in California.
- 1:52Speaker 1: If you stop the forest management, the fires go out
- 1:54Speaker 1: of control. Forest management is a couple of things. One
- 1:57Speaker 1: you clear the underbrush. The other is you cut these
- 2:01Speaker 1: burned paths through the forest. You cut these borders that'll
- 2:06Speaker 1: you know, you dig these trenches where they would stop
- 2:08Speaker 1: the fire from spreading. There's a bunch of things that
- 2:11Speaker 1: you do. But climate change nut jobs that got this
- 2:16Speaker 1: band in Canada. You're not allowed to do any forest maintenance. Now.
- 2:19Speaker 1: As a result, you get these wild, crazy forest fires
- 2:23Speaker 1: beyond anything we've ever seen, that can cover like half
- 2:26Speaker 1: the continent. And believe it or not, nothing causes more
- 2:32Speaker 1: carbon emission than a forest fire. A forest fire causes
- 2:36Speaker 1: more carbon emission than every car in the world. It
- 2:40Speaker 1: is the single most damaging thing to the climate. Yet
- 2:43Speaker 1: these climate activists, being nuts and never knowing what the
- 2:46Speaker 1: hell they're doing, have caused more forest fires than ever.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Now you know part of the province. You really need
- 2:52Speaker 1: to do this in Canada because their forests are so
- 2:56Speaker 1: out in the middle of nowhere. I mean, they're so
- 2:58Speaker 1: isolated that there's no roads, there's nobody near them, so
- 3:01Speaker 1: if the fire breaks out, it can take forever the
- 3:04Speaker 1: fire trucks to even get there. So you've got to
- 3:07Speaker 1: do this fire maintenance. The President has been threatening Canada
- 3:12Speaker 1: that they better start doing this or he's going to
- 3:15Speaker 1: tariff them to death. I mean, I know the climate
- 3:17Speaker 1: activists have control, but the government can do something. So
- 3:22Speaker 1: the President putting a lot of pressure on Canada.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Have a good relationship with Mark Karney. But you know,
- 3:28Speaker 2: we got to stop the fires up there. If we
- 3:30Speaker 2: can help them, we'll help them. But maybe they should
- 3:33Speaker 2: pay us some damages or something, or should do some tariffs.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yeah, probably a lot of people got very sick over
- 3:39Speaker 1: those forest fires. Hey, so this crazy mom Donnie, He's
- 3:43Speaker 1: going to arrest net and Yahoo, which is absolutely impossible.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Can't be done. But he's just a complete child. It's
- 3:52Speaker 1: just a whining, crazy little child. He's doing this New
- 3:56Speaker 1: York Times interview and up with this hair brain thing.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I believe that my mister, who belongs in the Hague,
- 4:05Speaker 3: he's a war criminal who has been charged by the
- 4:09Speaker 3: International Criminal Court. And what you will find is that
- 4:13Speaker 3: as an opinion that is held by many purely because
- 4:16Speaker 3: of what his actions have wrought over these last many years.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Oh and he's really serious, he puts on that low voice. Now,
- 4:22Speaker 1: first of all, this is a child. This is a
- 4:24Speaker 1: little child. The International Criminal Court is not a real court.
- 4:28Speaker 1: It has absolutely no authority over anything. It's just a
- 4:32Speaker 1: little joke of a nothing. It's not a real court.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It was created in the nineties of something called the
- 4:38Speaker 1: Rome Statues, where a bunch of countries who hate America
- 4:41Speaker 1: form this fake court in the Hague in the Netherlands,
- 4:45Speaker 1: and they signed up for it. The United States does
- 4:48Speaker 1: not recognize it as a real court. It has absolutely
- 4:51Speaker 1: no authority of Most major countries do not recognize it
- 4:55Speaker 1: as a real court. It is not only recognized by
- 4:58Speaker 1: the Unit, not recognized by the United st But the
- 5:00Speaker 1: leaders of this International Criminal Court are banned from even
- 5:04Speaker 1: entering the United States. It's just a silly little joke.
- 5:07Speaker 1: It's a pretend, fake court. It counts for absolutely nothing.
- 5:11Speaker 1: But this child thinks he was entitled in the international
- 5:15Speaker 1: criminal court. It sounds good, but it isn't anything. It
- 5:18Speaker 1: has no authority. Uh, there's no legal basis on earth
- 5:23Speaker 1: for him to arrest net Netnya who's coming in September
- 5:26Speaker 1: for the UN General Assembly, which by the way, is
- 5:29Speaker 1: covered by federal law. There's federal laws that protect anybody
- 5:34Speaker 1: attending that General Assembly, and federal law always overrules local laws,
- 5:39Speaker 1: so there's no way to arrest him.
- 5:41Speaker 3: As mayor, New York City would arrest Benjamin Netanyah who.
- 5:44Speaker 3: This is a city that our values are in line
- 5:46Speaker 3: with international law. It's time that our actions are also.
- 5:50Speaker 1: All right, this is just a child who's never had
- 5:52Speaker 1: a job before and doesn't know anything about anything. If
- 5:58Speaker 1: you were to try even attempt to arrest now, you know,
- 6:00Speaker 1: he might find himself under arrest federally and facing serious charges.
- 6:05Speaker 3: That's an active conversation with our legal department in seeing
- 6:09Speaker 3: what the prospects are we have here in our municipality. However,
- 6:13Speaker 3: what we've seen at the national level as a desire
- 6:15Speaker 3: sometimes to write your own laws, to go outside of
- 6:17Speaker 3: the bounds of legality. That's not something we have an
- 6:19Speaker 3: interest in.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Yeah, he's consulting with his legal department. Have you seen
- 6:22Speaker 1: his legal department? A bunch of socialist left wing nut jobs,
- 6:27Speaker 1: that's his legal department. So we'll talk to Michael Goodran.
- 6:31Speaker 1: A little later. He wrote about this crazy mom Donnie nonsense,
- 6:36Speaker 1: just appealing to his crazy base. Hey, the World Cup
- 6:39Speaker 1: is over. I'm not a soccer fan, as you can tell.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I tried to watch it here and there, but it
- 6:46Speaker 1: was like forty two hours of no score. It just
- 6:49Speaker 1: went forever. Nobody scores. I see no score. I go
- 6:52Speaker 1: away for an hour, come back, no score. I go
- 6:56Speaker 1: away for another hour, I come back, no score. It's
- 7:00Speaker 1: the silliest sport in the world. Finally, it took like
- 7:06Speaker 1: three days for somebody to score something, and then the
- 7:09Speaker 1: game was over. Orro chance to cross hooks it and
- 7:12Speaker 1: Williams badly knocks it down.
- 7:14Speaker 4: It fry to go it fators.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Now I'm not a basketball fan either, but I
- 7:28Speaker 1: started watching those Knicks playoffs. Well that got pretty exciting.
- 7:31Speaker 1: And it's a scores like a ninety three. Wow, a
- 7:34Speaker 1: lot of scoring this thing. They play for days and
- 7:37Speaker 1: it's a zero to zero and then fifteen overtimes. Finally
- 7:41Speaker 1: there's one score. What kind of sport is this? And
- 7:44Speaker 1: they don't take enough breaks it it's not made for America.
- 7:48Speaker 1: They play forever without a break. You need those breaks
- 7:51Speaker 1: all over the world, in Spain here obviously, listen to
- 7:53Speaker 1: Madrid all excited. All right, it's pretty bad, that's it.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I like their enthusiasm. And then I'm walking all over
- 8:16Speaker 1: New York after the game. Everybody's got those shirts on,
- 8:20Speaker 1: those jerseys with I saw thousands of them everywhere, but
- 8:26Speaker 1: it was the white one with the blue stripes. That's
- 8:27Speaker 1: the losing team, right, the red team, the red jersey,
- 8:31Speaker 1: they're the ones. That one Argentina. I only saw a
- 8:34Speaker 1: few of those, but I could see her. They made
- 8:36Speaker 1: a fortunate time. I must have seen a thousand shirts
- 8:39Speaker 1: out there in the streets. So thank god it's over.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Thank god they're leaving. Will help you pack, Just get
- 8:45Speaker 1: the hell out of here, all of you tourists. We
- 8:47Speaker 1: love tourists. They spent about two hundred million in New
- 8:50Speaker 1: York over the last couple of weeks. Okay, that's good.
- 8:54Speaker 1: That's good. That helps. But enough, if you can all
- 8:57Speaker 1: leave now, you can stop clog up everything. In New York,
- 9:01Speaker 1: President Trump said he was there for the World Cup,
- 9:03Speaker 1: of course, talked about how big the sport it was
- 9:06Speaker 1: this year in America.
- 9:07Speaker 2: But I'm proud to report that was more than six
- 9:10Speaker 2: point five million attendees. This has been by far, the
- 9:13Speaker 2: most attended tournament in history.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Well, all right, you can't argue with that. You can't
- 9:19Speaker 1: argue with that. But I don't know, I can't take
- 9:22Speaker 1: that socker on the halftime show. He got all these
- 9:28Speaker 1: big names, and yet it was something was wrong with
- 9:31Speaker 1: that halftime show. It got nothing but criticism all over
- 9:35Speaker 1: the place. Every critic Madonna, who was lip syncing, flying
- 9:39Speaker 1: around the stage. You got a lip sync. It's easier
- 9:41Speaker 1: that way. But the whole thing was it was all
- 9:43Speaker 1: great acts, but it didn't make any sense. They just
- 9:46Speaker 1: it wasn't It didn't flow. The transitions weren't right. It
- 9:50Speaker 1: was disjointed, but somehow it didn't all go together. It
- 9:52Speaker 1: just didn't work one to the other the other. And
- 9:56Speaker 1: Justin Bieber, does he realize there's like ten million people
- 9:59Speaker 1: sitting there in the stadium. You can't just do an
- 10:01Speaker 1: acoustic guitar. You need to make some noise. You're in
- 10:04Speaker 1: a massive stadium filled with excitement. You can't do a ballad.
- 10:08Speaker 1: What the hell was that guy thinking it was good?
- 10:09Speaker 1: But these they're all good. But nothing went with anything
- 10:12Speaker 1: else great, but nothing flowed. People were all criticizing the
- 10:15Speaker 1: halftime show. Speaking of music, you know who died, Freddie Cannon.
- 10:19Speaker 1: They used to call him Freddy Boom Boom Cannon. You
- 10:22Speaker 1: know him from all kinds of songs like Palisades Park.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Well that was good right over there, right across the
- 10:27Speaker 1: river there in New Jersey. It's now a bunch of
- 10:30Speaker 1: high rises. I think Winston Towers. I think is a
- 10:33Speaker 1: couple of high rises. I think that's where Palisades Park was.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Freddy Cannon wrote it was a big, huge hit. He
- 10:39Speaker 1: had a lot of great songs. Remember there was a
- 10:41Speaker 1: Dick Clark show where the action is It was like
- 10:44Speaker 1: American Bandstand, but like out on a beach, and the
- 10:47Speaker 1: theme song by Freddy Cannon was a huge hit from
- 10:50Speaker 1: great guy. Now AOC everybody thinks she's running for president
- 10:57Speaker 1: because she's suddenly all over the country. You remember one
- 11:00Speaker 1: thing about these Democratic socialists. They are the phoniest people
- 11:03Speaker 1: in the world. Look at Bernie Sanders, multimillionaire, several houses, AOC,
- 11:10Speaker 1: private jets everywhere. You know. They preach all this stuff,
- 11:17Speaker 1: but then they live very very well. So as phony
- 11:21Speaker 1: as they are, unless phony as Democrats and Republicans too,
- 11:24Speaker 1: but as phony as these politicians can be. Hillary was
- 11:28Speaker 1: famous for this, and Obama was. You know, Obama when
- 11:31Speaker 1: he was speaking up north sounded like Demosthenes. When he'd
- 11:37Speaker 1: beat down South, suddenly he'd sound like a sharecropper. He was,
- 11:42Speaker 1: And Hillary Clinton would do it. AOC does it. They
- 11:46Speaker 1: put on this fake Southern accent when they go to
- 11:48Speaker 1: the South. Listen to AOC from the Bronx, actually from
- 11:52Speaker 1: Yorktown Heights, but listen to AOC with her fake Southern accent.
- 11:57Speaker 4: We cannot afford to leave Tennessee behind behind. We cannot
- 12:03Speaker 4: afford to leave Kentucky behind, Alabama behind, Mississippi behind, Georgia
- 12:09Speaker 4: behind South Carolina behind.
- 12:13Speaker 1: It's unbelievable. How do they think they can get away
- 12:15Speaker 1: with this down there? And they're talking like this all
- 12:18Speaker 1: as soon as she gets back here, How are you
- 12:20Speaker 1: right back to the New York Act. But they think
- 12:24Speaker 1: they can get away with it. It's insane. It doesn't
- 12:27Speaker 1: make any sense. So, yeah, Rosie O'Donnell is back. I
- 12:31Speaker 1: don't know what the hell she's doing here. I thought
- 12:33Speaker 1: she left the country. She came back to fill in
- 12:37Speaker 1: for Jimmy Kimmel for a week. But she's doing a special,
- 12:41Speaker 1: she's doing something else. She's got another thing going on.
- 12:44Speaker 1: She's on Good Day in New York today, she's all
- 12:46Speaker 1: over TV. What the hell's she doing here? I thought
- 12:49Speaker 1: she was leaving. That's you know, she's like herpies. It
- 12:52Speaker 1: always comes back. You can't get rid of it. But hey,
- 12:55Speaker 1: we'll take some calls. Next to eight hundred three two
- 12:57Speaker 1: one zero seven ten is number. Hey, congratulations Vice President
- 13:02Speaker 1: Vance he and his wife Usha welcome their fourth child,
- 13:07Speaker 1: another boy, baby boy, fourth kids now and any congratulations.
- 13:12Speaker 1: We'll take some calls. Next eight hundred three to two
- 13:16Speaker 1: to one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred
- 13:19Speaker 1: three two one zero seven ten.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Live from the WR Life Back studio.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Stewart in
- 13:32Speaker 1: New Jersey. Stuart, how you doing, good.
- 13:34Speaker 5: Morning, welcome.
- 13:35Speaker 6: I'm doing fine, Thank you.
- 13:36Speaker 7: I just wanted to.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Say that that Palisades song was written actually by Chuck
- 13:41Speaker 2: Barris of you know the gun show Fame.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Oh, you're right, Freddie Cannon a big, big hit with it.
- 13:46Speaker 1: You're right. Also was the other one I said, where
- 13:51Speaker 1: the action is actually written by Tommy Boyce. But great song.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Can you remember Palisades Park?
- 13:58Speaker 8: Oh?
- 13:58Speaker 6: Sure, Well I'm from Brooklyn, but I live in North
- 14:00Speaker 6: Bergen now, so I had some friends out this way.
- 14:04Speaker 5: That's why I moved out here.
- 14:05Speaker 6: But for sure Palistate Plug definitely.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a little before my time. But what
- 14:10Speaker 1: what it was like? An amusement park? Right? Cooney Island
- 14:14Speaker 1: and cousin Brucey used to do shows there, and a
- 14:16Speaker 1: lot of big rock and roll acts to appear there.
- 14:19Speaker 1: All right, thanks for calling. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 14:23Speaker 1: how you doing. Good morning, Mark, that's Mike.
- 14:27Speaker 6: I'm afraid the only thing AOC has going for her
- 14:30Speaker 6: is that you can't leave her behind. But but but sorry,
- 14:35Speaker 6: but Mandani makes me laugh. You know, he wants to
- 14:38Speaker 6: hol in bebing that in Yahoo. But he won't arrest
- 14:41Speaker 6: guys pushing people in front of subways or twelve blocks
- 14:44Speaker 6: of homeless degenerates and drug addicts on you know, by
- 14:47Speaker 6: the intrepid in their tense city, you know. So it's
- 14:51Speaker 6: it's really interesting that he can marshal all these forces
- 14:53Speaker 6: to go after one state leader.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Yeah no, that's a good point. That's the first person
- 14:59Speaker 1: ever that he was actually going to arrest. And it's
- 15:01Speaker 1: bbing Net Nyahoo. But thanks for calling. He can't arrest
- 15:04Speaker 1: net Nyahoo. And there's no such thing as international law.
- 15:08Speaker 1: It's just something people say. It doesn't really exist, and
- 15:11Speaker 1: the International Criminal Court is not a real court. It's
- 15:14Speaker 1: not recognized by the United States. In fact, the leaders
- 15:17Speaker 1: of it aren't even allowed to enter the United States.
- 15:20Speaker 1: It was actually created by a bunch of left wing
- 15:22Speaker 1: kooks to do stuff like this, to be left wing kookie.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Arrest net Nyah, who arrest Americans, arrest a president, arrest
- 15:30Speaker 1: our troops. That's it was created for that purpose, which
- 15:32Speaker 1: is why most countries don't recognize it as anything real.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Let's go to Rich in Myrtle Beach. Rich how you
- 15:41Speaker 1: doing Hey?
- 15:42Speaker 5: Thanks? Mark, like you, I didn't watch Good Morning, Vincent,
- 15:45Speaker 5: good morning saying.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Ye no no, no more saying good morning to other
- 15:48Speaker 1: callers people. It annoys the audience. We get some We
- 15:51Speaker 1: got more complaints about that than anything else.
- 15:55Speaker 5: Like soul was Zudo on his birthdays when he was
- 15:57Speaker 5: a Yankee announcer. Yes, the yeah, you know the like
- 16:02Speaker 5: you the World Cup. I didn't watch any of it
- 16:03Speaker 5: at all until yesterday. I knew Trump was going to
- 16:07Speaker 5: hand out the trophy, and like that caller said last week,
- 16:09Speaker 5: that is the ugliest, smallest trophy for the biggest thing
- 16:12Speaker 5: in sports. This should be big, like the Stanley Cup
- 16:15Speaker 5: or something. So I'm watching this for an hour, just
- 16:17Speaker 5: waiting for Trump to come out to hand out the trophy.
- 16:20Speaker 5: Nobody scores, they had extra time, nobody scores. Then the
- 16:24Speaker 5: game's over, and then they got extra time they didn't
- 16:26Speaker 5: know about from injuries or something like that, and finally
- 16:29Speaker 5: the guys scored. It's like the worst hour of my life.
- 16:32Speaker 5: I'm never going to get back. Brutal.
- 16:34Speaker 1: That's true, all right, thanks for calling. Yeah, it is
- 16:36Speaker 1: a tiny trophy. They should let Trump design the trophy.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Then it'd be like fourteen feet high, it'd be twelve
- 16:42Speaker 1: feet wide. You'd see some real gold all over it.
- 16:45Speaker 1: What is this, It's just this wireless caller. Let's go
- 16:48Speaker 1: to line four, Line four, How you doing.
- 16:51Speaker 7: All right, Mark, and eighty five percent.
- 16:54Speaker 1: That's the Buchanan guy.
- 16:57Speaker 6: Immigrants eighty five percent.
- 16:59Speaker 7: Why are they blamed college.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Kids for Yeah, you know, are you going to do
- 17:02Speaker 1: your Buchanan things?
- 17:03Speaker 7: It's eighty five percent of the people voted for Mommy
- 17:05Speaker 7: Coom are immigrants. They're not college kids that vote.
- 17:09Speaker 1: We heard that like the fourth time you said that.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Are you going to do the Buchanan thing? No? No, no,
- 17:14Speaker 1: but I'll tell you something, Mark with the soka you
- 17:16Speaker 1: on the money man? All right, Well I don't know
- 17:19Speaker 1: what you're on, but uh, I hope you're brought enough
- 17:21Speaker 1: for everybody. Anyway, Thanks for call. What happened all the calls?
- 17:25Speaker 1: All the lines were full, they all just went dead.
- 17:28Speaker 1: We think eight hundred three to two one zero seven
- 17:31Speaker 1: ten is the number. Eight hundred three to two one
- 17:34Speaker 1: zero seven ten. So, uh, yeah, the World Cup is over.
- 17:39Speaker 1: They're all going home now. You might still see those
- 17:42Speaker 1: jerseys all over the place, but they should be leaving
- 17:46Speaker 1: and get the hell out of here. Let's go to uh,
- 17:50Speaker 1: we'll just go to this. Let's go to line too.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Are you there? Are you there? Nope? Lost? Something's going
- 17:57Speaker 1: on with the phones where people are calling then all sudden,
- 18:00Speaker 1: the call just vanishes, just goes away. Hey, there was
- 18:04Speaker 1: a history was made, a major moment in history on Friday.
- 18:10Speaker 1: I think it's up on my Twitter if you want
- 18:12Speaker 1: to go look at it. Chuck Schumer is leaving Congress
- 18:15Speaker 1: and there's reporters out there and they remember he farted.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I mean, it was a big incident last week. Loud
- 18:21Speaker 1: fart from Chuck Schumer right on the floor of the Senate.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Even he laughed about it. So the reporter starts to
- 18:28Speaker 1: ask him about it, and nobody has ever seen this
- 18:31Speaker 1: ever before in history. Schumer actually runs away from a
- 18:35Speaker 1: TV camera. It's a reporter and a camera. Schumer turns
- 18:40Speaker 1: and runs. Here's the guy who always runs towards the camera,
- 18:44Speaker 1: actually fleeing in panic. It was great to see. Let's
- 18:48Speaker 1: go to Bob in Montville, New Jersey. Bob, how you doing.
- 18:52Speaker 9: Hanging in there?
- 18:53Speaker 7: Mark?
- 18:54Speaker 9: Thanks to taking a call. But I think we've got
- 18:56Speaker 9: to hold off on all the money and the hooplah
- 18:59Speaker 9: from the FI stuff because Mickey Cheryl, they're crunching the
- 19:02Speaker 9: numbers in New Jersey here, you know NJT. I think
- 19:06Speaker 9: lost the bundle and you know all the old the
- 19:09Speaker 9: time too, So yeah, that could be going to be
- 19:12Speaker 9: a net loss for us all here, but good for
- 19:15Speaker 9: some of the merchants.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Yeah, no, a lot of money come in. You know
- 19:17Speaker 1: what the craziest thing is, it's a big, huge field,
- 19:21Speaker 1: the soccer field. So they've decided they will cut up
- 19:24Speaker 1: the grass from the field, the soil, and they will
- 19:27Speaker 1: cut it into small, tiny cubes and sell it pieces
- 19:31Speaker 1: of the actual field. Apparently the field is so big
- 19:34Speaker 1: if you cut it up into tiny cubes, you get
- 19:37Speaker 1: thousands and thousands or maybe tens of thousands of them,
- 19:40Speaker 1: and they're expected to rake in millions. They think they
- 19:43Speaker 1: could even make I don't know, some crazy number like
- 19:45Speaker 1: twenty million off the field selling the soil. So the
- 19:49Speaker 1: governor New Jersey, Mikey Cheryl, is demanding a cut of that.
- 19:53Speaker 1: She has a point, and I think you should ask
- 19:56Speaker 1: the New York Giants, isn't it their stadium if you're
- 19:59Speaker 1: going to cut up the field and take it away.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Let's go to Paul in White Plains. Paul, how you doing.
- 20:07Speaker 5: Mark, I'm doing well, thank you. I'd like you to
- 20:09Speaker 5: explain something.
- 20:09Speaker 6: How come every day I turn on the news and
- 20:13Speaker 6: they say they have obliterated Rand's missile capability.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Well, I don't think anbady s ever said they obliterated.
- 20:22Speaker 1: They said they It was the word they used, diminished it. Obviously,
- 20:25Speaker 1: you can't get it all at once, but over a
- 20:28Speaker 1: number of days you can get it. So it'll take
- 20:30Speaker 1: a while. They do replenish those supplies, and they have
- 20:33Speaker 1: some buried underground that they bring up. But every we've
- 20:36Speaker 1: been hitting them harder than ever the last few nights,
- 20:38Speaker 1: so we have taken away a lot of it. But
- 20:40Speaker 1: you can't do it all in one night. That's impossible.
- 20:42Speaker 1: But thanks for calling. Let's go to Ed in Pennsylvania.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Ed.
- 20:46Speaker 1: How you doing pretty good?
- 20:48Speaker 7: Mark, Thanks for cranking my call. I too watched the game,
- 20:52Speaker 7: and one thing that impressed me very much was when
- 20:55Speaker 7: eat when Argentina and Spain did their national anthems, how
- 20:58Speaker 7: the athletes sang it like full throated, knew the words actually,
- 21:02Speaker 7: and it looks fairly clean cut on like say the
- 21:05Speaker 7: Major League Baseball or NFL type thing when they pay
- 21:07Speaker 7: the players. I was pretty impressed with that, the fact
- 21:10Speaker 7: that they actually knew their national anthem saying it. Yeah, Oh,
- 21:13Speaker 7: that was one positive thing.
- 21:15Speaker 1: That's a good point. We could use all We could
- 21:16Speaker 1: use more of that here, good point. Thanks for calling. Hey.
- 21:19Speaker 1: When we come back, the best columnists in the world,
- 21:22Speaker 1: we'll talk to Michael Goodwin next on seven to ten
- 21:25Speaker 1: w R. Let's get back.
- 21:27Speaker 9: To the Mark Simone Show on WOR.
- 21:33Speaker 8: Well.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Michael Goodwin the best columnist in America. You're can read
- 21:36Speaker 1: them every Sunday and every Wednesday in the New York
- 21:39Speaker 1: Post and all of his columns are up on the
- 21:41Speaker 1: New York Post website. You can read them anytime. Michael Goodwin,
- 21:44Speaker 1: How you doing.
- 21:46Speaker 8: Good morning, Mark?
- 21:47Speaker 1: Thank you? Hey. The mayor are crazy? Mayor saying he's
- 21:51Speaker 1: going to arrest Benjamin Nett and Yahu? What does that
- 21:53Speaker 1: tell us that he's delusional, that he's just a child?
- 21:56Speaker 1: What do you make of that?
- 21:59Speaker 8: Yeah? I think it's all the above, but it's also
- 22:03Speaker 8: a political play. Is this is red meat for his
- 22:09Speaker 8: core supporters. Of course, much of his appeal to them
- 22:14Speaker 8: is based on hating Israel, and so what I think
- 22:19Speaker 8: Nathan Yahoo, of course, has they come to face for
- 22:23Speaker 8: the haters? And if he could do anything to bring
- 22:28Speaker 8: that Yahoo down, to embarrass him, to see him in
- 22:32Speaker 8: a purp walk, he would love that. Uh, Fortunately, it's
- 22:38Speaker 8: not going to happen. In the international criminal court that
- 22:44Speaker 8: indicted him is not relevant. In the United States, we
- 22:49Speaker 8: do not subscribe to its authority, we are not members
- 22:53Speaker 8: of it, so that's.
- 22:54Speaker 7: Not going to happen.
- 22:55Speaker 8: But Mamdani, that's why I think he's just throwing out.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Need Yeah, he wrote, yes, it's come the JD. Vance interview,
- 23:07Speaker 1: which shocked a lot of people with the Rogan it's
- 23:11Speaker 1: kind of going off the reservation from the Trump administration especially,
- 23:15Speaker 1: is what seemed like anti Israel stuff. What do you
- 23:17Speaker 1: think is that's all about?
- 23:20Speaker 8: Well, that's a good question, Mark, I'm not sure. I
- 23:24Speaker 8: don't think it was in any way a message from
- 23:28Speaker 8: the administration. I think it was a much more personal
- 23:33Speaker 8: revelation about what's on JD. Vance's mind. It wasn't very impressive.
- 23:40Speaker 8: I thought he was smarter than that, and I was
- 23:43Speaker 8: very disappointed to see his contempt for is surreal and
- 23:48Speaker 8: his lack of understanding, frankly, of what's going on in Lebanon. Now.
- 23:55Speaker 8: I gave it that he is now conducting the negotiations
- 23:58Speaker 8: with Aron, but to basically say Israel and Hezebela is
- 24:06Speaker 8: a chicken and egg thing is it's it's childish, of course,
- 24:11Speaker 8: but it's stupid. It's uninformed. Hesbe Lah was created by
- 24:18Speaker 8: Ron and placed in Lebanon to help eliminate Israel. And
- 24:25Speaker 8: so when you're telling Israel you can't attack, you can't
- 24:30Speaker 8: attack Hezbelah during the ceasefire between America and i Ran,
- 24:36Speaker 8: you're basically doing Ron's pittying for it. And I think
- 24:40Speaker 8: that's what Israel was not happy with that agreement, in
- 24:45Speaker 8: the sense that it effectively gave has bullet time to
- 24:49Speaker 8: regroup and recover and even carry out at Jack's and
- 24:54Speaker 8: tied Israel's hands, and I think that was one big issue.
- 24:59Speaker 8: Marks his comments on Jeffrey Epstein, again accusing suggesting that
- 25:07Speaker 8: Epstein was a Mossad agent, that he had higher up
- 25:12Speaker 8: relations in American intelligence, none of which has ever been proved.
- 25:18Speaker 8: So I'm not sure where he's getting his ideas. I'll
- 25:21Speaker 8: make you stand up too late reading the dark web.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Well. Epstein's lawyer at the time was Alan Dershwitz, and
- 25:28Speaker 1: he said there was absolutely no connection with the Messado
- 25:30Speaker 1: or the CIA. If there had been one, they would
- 25:33Speaker 1: have used it to negotiate a better deal for you.
- 25:37Speaker 8: That's right. He wouldn't have died in prison.
- 25:39Speaker 1: So what do you think that is doing? People thought
- 25:41Speaker 1: of him as the front runner for twenty twenty eight
- 25:43Speaker 1: and now he sounds like a little Tucker Carlson ish.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Do you think he's thinking that's the path for twenty
- 25:50Speaker 1: twenty eight to break away and do that kind of nonsense?
- 25:54Speaker 8: Well it could be byke. I mean, you're right, he
- 25:57Speaker 8: is here so far leading in the poll, narrowly over
- 26:02Speaker 8: Marco Rubio to win their twenty twenty eight Republican nomination.
- 26:07Speaker 8: I think that this kind of interview will drive a
- 26:11Speaker 8: wedge between him and much of the Trump base. And
- 26:17Speaker 8: he mentioned Tucker Carlson, who has broken with Trump, and
- 26:22Speaker 8: of course I think Tucker is not like he's come
- 26:27Speaker 8: out of the closet as an angie semi. And I
- 26:31Speaker 8: think that Vance is very close to Tucker. His Tucker's
- 26:36Speaker 8: son worked for Dvance until just recently in the VP
- 26:41Speaker 8: of Ice. So it is, as I say in my column,
- 26:46Speaker 8: a friend of mine who was a friend of Vance's
- 26:50Speaker 8: and helped him in all his campaigns. He's appalled by
- 26:55Speaker 8: what's been happening for him. It started several months, as
- 27:00Speaker 8: they go, and he's actually alerted me to that, and
- 27:04Speaker 8: I said, I didn't see anything like that, but I
- 27:07Speaker 8: certainly stand corrected.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Now. He think this is the beginning of the end
- 27:13Speaker 1: of the nuttiness of the Democrats. I know, you got
- 27:15Speaker 1: the fetterman finally speaking out. Even Bill Maher in an
- 27:19Speaker 1: NPR interview said, if they keep this up, I'm going
- 27:22Speaker 1: to vote for a Republican in twenty twenty eight. So
- 27:25Speaker 1: you think maybe it might wake up the leadership to
- 27:28Speaker 1: clean up their mess there.
- 27:31Speaker 8: Well, I ain't. The problem, Mark, ultimately is that the
- 27:34Speaker 8: leadership has no power, or has therened limited power anymore.
- 27:39Speaker 8: I mean Chuck Tremer and King Jeffries are scoffed at
- 27:45Speaker 8: by the socialist Democrats. I mean, here you have a
- 27:49Speaker 8: Democratic mayor of New York, a socialist, and you're the
- 27:54Speaker 8: leader of the Democrats in the House and the Senate,
- 27:58Speaker 8: both in Brooklyn. I don't think Mandanni has a relationship
- 28:02Speaker 8: with either one of them, and neither have they supported
- 28:07Speaker 8: him nor denounced him. So they don't really have any
- 28:13Speaker 8: power over this new breed of socialist Democrat Mandani. That's
- 28:18Speaker 8: really Mandannie the wing of the party, and it's growing
- 28:22Speaker 8: fast than the rest of the party.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Yeah, well, it's got to end at some point. This
- 28:28Speaker 1: has happened before in democratic world, where they go too
- 28:30Speaker 1: far left and then Bill Clinton emerges that type and
- 28:34Speaker 1: leads them back to the center. Is there time for
- 28:36Speaker 1: That's a very.
- 28:38Speaker 8: That's a very good point mark about what Bill Clinton
- 28:41Speaker 8: did to the Democrats in ninety two. You're right, and
- 28:47Speaker 8: I think a lot of people have been looking for
- 28:50Speaker 8: the next Bill Clinton for a while. Instead we're getting
- 28:54Speaker 8: quite we're getting moving further left rather than toward the
- 28:59Speaker 8: center with a core energy of the party.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Well, if you're looking for another Bill Clinton, how about Fetterman?
- 29:06Speaker 1: If he would go out and buy a suit maybe.
- 29:08Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, I think the amazing thing would be
- 29:12Speaker 8: Mark if Fetterman would actually leave the party and join
- 29:16Speaker 8: the GOP and the Senate, that would that I think
- 29:20Speaker 8: would be a real warning. And don't forget too like
- 29:25Speaker 8: some of those centers. Uh, you know, we're not even Democrats,
- 29:29Speaker 8: they're independents and things like I'm Bernie Sanders mansion was
- 29:35Speaker 8: it was it independent Christian cinema breally, so there were
- 29:39Speaker 8: a lot of August King in Maine. It's not a Democrat.
- 29:43Speaker 8: So the party is actually quite small but it counts
- 29:46Speaker 8: on those non Democrats the caucus with them to give
- 29:50Speaker 8: them all the roads. So if Federman would break the ice,
- 29:54Speaker 8: that would be something.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it'd be interesting. Well, Michael Goodwin, great column. You
- 29:58Speaker 1: can read Michael Goodwin's column every Sunday and every Wednesday.
- 30:02Speaker 1: And if you missed a name, they're up on the
- 30:03Speaker 1: New York Post website. You can go there and read them.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Michael Goodwin, thanks for being with.
- 30:07Speaker 8: Us, Mike Pleasure, Mark, thank you.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Take care. Hey. Coming up at noon, Buck Sexton and
- 30:14Speaker 1: Klay Travis. They do a real good show every day
- 30:17Speaker 1: from noon to three. Then at three o'clock you got
- 30:19Speaker 1: the most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity.
- 30:24Speaker 1: You got Jesse Kelly every night at six, and Jimmy Fayla.
- 30:27Speaker 1: What a funny show, interesting, hysterical sometimes Jimmy Fayla every
- 30:32Speaker 1: night nine to midnight. Right here on seven ten WR
- 30:37Speaker 1: seven wrs.
- 30:39Speaker 9: Mark Simone show continues.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Now, well, you know somebody's going to be the next
- 30:46Speaker 1: governor of California and they're gonna have a problem. They
- 30:49Speaker 1: got to get rid of this Gavin Newsome executive order
- 30:53Speaker 1: which he signed. It bans the sale of gas powered
- 30:56Speaker 1: cars by two thousand and thirty five. In other words,
- 31:01Speaker 1: you'd have to have an electric car. You couldn't drive
- 31:03Speaker 1: a gas car. Well, actually I guess you could drive it,
- 31:06Speaker 1: but you couldn't sell it. But that would put most
- 31:08Speaker 1: dealers out of business. And when you say twenty thirty five,
- 31:12Speaker 1: that sounds so far in the future. It sounds like
- 31:15Speaker 1: the Jetsons. But if you think about it, it's only
- 31:19Speaker 1: nine years away. That's just nine years from now. And
- 31:22Speaker 1: most car dealers sell gas powered cars. They don't sell
- 31:25Speaker 1: electric cars. You know, in a lot of the car
- 31:28Speaker 1: companies have stopped with the electric cars. BMW just stopped
- 31:31Speaker 1: making electric cars. They'll make hybrids, but that's it. And
- 31:35Speaker 1: GM forward all of them are going to hybrids and
- 31:38Speaker 1: not electric cars. They got all kinds of problems with
- 31:41Speaker 1: electric cars, and the biggest one is the public doesn't
- 31:44Speaker 1: buy them, so it's a problem. You know, evs have
- 31:48Speaker 1: a shorter range, it takes forever to charge. You know,
- 31:52Speaker 1: let's say you pull a no gas station, I'll have
- 31:53Speaker 1: it take you to fill up a minute, two minutes.
- 31:57Speaker 1: EV you're gonna be in that gas station for a
- 31:59Speaker 1: half Great for the gas station. They can sell you stuff.
- 32:03Speaker 1: But so whoever, the next governor has got to get
- 32:06Speaker 1: rid of that ban on gas powered cars because it's
- 32:10Speaker 1: twenty thirty five, just a few years away. It's going
- 32:14Speaker 1: to be beautiful today, a nice, beautiful sunny day. Air
- 32:17Speaker 1: Quality is much much, much much better. It's safe to
- 32:19Speaker 1: go out. We got another hour to go and a
- 32:22Speaker 1: lot coming up. In the next hour. We'll get to
- 32:24Speaker 1: the election, Save America Act and more. Just ahead. Mark
- 32:29Speaker 1: Simone here every day ten to noon on seven to
- 32:31Speaker 1: ten WR
