- 1:49Speaker 2: I guess where this happened had to be Florida. Absolutely.
- 1:52Speaker 2: A twenty six year old Florida man tried to steal
- 1:55Speaker 2: a landscaping van parked on the street. He climbed in
- 1:58Speaker 2: the back and accidentally got locked inside in the back
- 2:02Speaker 2: of it. He started screaming for help. The police showed
- 2:05Speaker 2: up to help, and then he went to jail. Listen

- 2:16Speaker 5: my shadies inside the truck and he could have just

- 3:44Speaker 2: For two dogs, Goofy is not Mickey Mouse's dog. Who
- 3:48Speaker 2: is Mickey Mouse's dog.
- 3:50Speaker 4: That would be Pluto.

- 4:28Speaker 2: the Little Shop of Horrors. He's got the lead role

- 4:42Speaker 2: lead role. He's going to be doing that, so good
- 4:44Speaker 2: for him.
- 4:44Speaker 4: That's pretty sick. Congrats Jordan.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah, good job representing Birmingham. The McDonald Shamrick Shock is back.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Shamrock Shake. Whym gonna say sham Rick Shock, Shamrock Shake.
- 4:57Speaker 2: My brain just glitched, you know what I mean.
- 4:59Speaker 4: It's bad.
- 5:00Speaker 2: It's the mint milkshake and Mark's the unofficial start to
- 5:04Speaker 2: spring Sir Patrick's stay season. It's the green Shake, the
- 5:07Speaker 2: Shamrock Shake.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Yes, I have seen those.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Back Today and the fan favorite Oreo Shamrock mcflurry is
- 5:15Speaker 2: coming back happy. WHOA Okay, thank you, it's all NATed.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Savannah Guthrie's family members are cleared as possible suspects in
- 5:26Speaker 2: Nancy's disappearance because online a lot of people were speculating
- 5:30Speaker 2: that Savannah Guthrie's sister and her husband were involved, So
- 5:35Speaker 2: the sheriff said in a statement yesterday to be clear,
- 5:38Speaker 2: the Guthrie family, to include all siblings and spouses, have
- 5:41Speaker 2: been cleared as possible suspects. The family has been nothing
- 5:45Speaker 2: but cooperative and gracious, and they are victims in this case.
- 5:49Speaker 2: He also said anybody suggesting otherwise is cruel and to
- 5:52Speaker 2: give them their space and let them deal with all
- 5:56Speaker 2: of this. Nancy's still missing. We're going into the third
- 5:59Speaker 2: week of her being missing. This is crazy.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Yeah, this is unprecedented. Tom.
- 6:04Speaker 2: We will keep you updated as we find out more.
- 6:07Speaker 2: We are still hoping for the best. That's three things
- 6:10Speaker 2: you need to know more at the Alabamashow dot com.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show.
- 6:17Speaker 2: On Man, I need to know if I'm a bad
- 6:20Speaker 2: person for what I did.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Okay, do you want my answer now or do you
- 6:24Speaker 3: want me to save money.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Need to hear this story, because you know I'm a
- 6:27Speaker 2: good person.
- 6:28Speaker 4: I'll wait to hear the story.
- 6:29Speaker 2: By the way, thank you for listening to the Alabama show.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I'm Alabama with producer Blake.
- 6:33Speaker 4: That's me.
- 6:34Speaker 2: I went to a gala okay, which was a big
- 6:37Speaker 2: fundraiser for cancer research over the weekend.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Right. Yes.
- 6:41Speaker 2: A lady who was on the board invited me because
- 6:45Speaker 2: she came into our studios and did a commercial and
- 6:48Speaker 2: she's like, oh, you should come. So it was this
- 6:51Speaker 2: awesome event, great fundraiser. It was super cool.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Yep.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I met a lot of really great people. There were lawyers, judges,
- 7:00Speaker 2: private investigator, all kinds of people. The private investigator is
- 7:06Speaker 2: a lady. At the end of the night, it was
- 7:09Speaker 2: the James Bond themed gala. And at the end of
- 7:13Speaker 2: the night they had these floral arrangements on the table. Yeah,
- 7:20Speaker 2: that were these beautiful red roses.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Oh no, the private.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Investigator she had one in her hands, and I said,
- 7:28Speaker 2: what do you do. She goes, I'm taking one home,
- 7:31Speaker 2: and I was like, oh, she goes take one, and
- 7:35Speaker 2: I went, I can't.
- 7:36Speaker 3: I can't do that.
- 7:38Speaker 2: It's not for me. And then other people started taking
- 7:40Speaker 2: them out. I was like, the lady who invited me
- 7:43Speaker 2: is gonna see me taking it out and think I'm
- 7:44Speaker 2: a cheap oath. There were doctors there, like, all these
- 7:47Speaker 2: well to do people, and then there's me and I'm
- 7:50Speaker 2: doing my best to fit in and this woman takes
- 7:53Speaker 2: a freaking floral arrangement from the and then I see
- 7:56Speaker 2: other people. I saw this other woman in ursa and
- 7:58Speaker 2: carrying out the flowers. She goes, take one. I did,
- 8:03Speaker 2: and I started running through the hall trying to like
- 8:08Speaker 2: hide and get to my car. Before the lady who
- 8:10Speaker 2: invited me saw me take these flowers.
- 8:14Speaker 3: I said, you act like this is a heist film.
- 8:17Speaker 2: It felt like one, and I feel guilty.
- 8:20Speaker 4: Still.
- 8:20Speaker 2: I looked at them this morning.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Before I came to work.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I was like, why did I take these?
- 8:26Speaker 4: Did you look at it and go I'm a thief?
- 8:29Speaker 2: Common I feel like a thief right now. I feel
- 8:32Speaker 2: like James Bond needs to come hunt me down and
- 8:34Speaker 2: take the flowers back because they came in this little
- 8:37Speaker 2: It was a plastic holder. But still, I don't know
- 8:42Speaker 2: if I'm mad or not for this.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Other people were doing it. Yes, you're in the wrong
- 8:47Speaker 3: for taking something that was nice we're just.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Gonna throw them away.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Oh that's what they said. You surround yourself with people
- 8:57Speaker 3: you're gonna act like, and you surround yourself with a
- 9:00Speaker 3: bunch of thieves, especially a probably investigator taking some stuff.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Come on, now, call the show, especially a few work events.
- 9:10Speaker 2: If you were, If you're the lady that invited me
- 9:12Speaker 2: and you're listening because she does listen to the show,
- 9:14Speaker 2: just ignore the last three minutes of your life and
- 9:17Speaker 2: pretend like it didn't happen.
- 9:19Speaker 3: She's sorry, I am sorry.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I will bring you back the container that I will
- 9:24Speaker 2: bring it back to you if you want to call
- 9:25Speaker 2: the show. Eight three three five, Oy Bama is the number.
- 9:29Speaker 1: You're listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Eight three three five I in Bama is the number
- 9:34Speaker 2: to call the show. Chris, good morning. Am I wrong
- 9:37Speaker 2: for taking a floral arrangement from the very nice gala
- 9:40Speaker 2: that I went to this weekend?
- 9:42Speaker 6: Well? Look here I got two things to say here.
- 9:43Speaker 6: Number one, you're in this gallop of all these respectable people, doctors, lawyers, judges,
- 9:50Speaker 6: and you find the satius profession in the room to
- 9:52Speaker 6: listen to. You find a private investigator. Have you not
- 9:57Speaker 6: read books or watch movies Alabama. That's a.
- 10:01Speaker 2: It was a jacus. Well you know what, Okay, what's
- 10:05Speaker 2: the other thing you want to say?
- 10:07Speaker 6: No, now that being said, they're right, they're gonna throw
- 10:11Speaker 6: that stuff away anyway. You're just be purposing. You're helping
- 10:14Speaker 6: the planet exactly.
- 10:16Speaker 2: My kitchen looks great right now too, they're beautiful. Thank you, Chris.
- 10:21Speaker 6: There you go. Just as long as the dog's doing
- 10:23Speaker 6: you didn't get sick, you'll be all right.
- 10:24Speaker 2: All right, thank you.
- 10:26Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with the eleve.
- 10:30Speaker 2: There's any rental boutique coming to Homewood. So if you
- 10:33Speaker 2: have a wedding, a formal, a gala, or sorority event,
- 10:36Speaker 2: you can go to on the red carpet. They will
- 10:39Speaker 2: be opening soon on London Avenue. They're gonna have jewelry
- 10:43Speaker 2: and handbags. You can rent the dress for fourteen days.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Alterations are allowed and dry cleaning is included, which is huge,
- 10:49Speaker 2: and the prices are great. So the grand opening Tuesday,
- 10:52Speaker 2: March third. You've heard of the smartphone, but now there's
- 10:56Speaker 2: a smart toothbrush that can clean your whole mouth in
- 10:59Speaker 2: just twenty seconds.
- 11:01Speaker 4: What makes it small and it.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Does way more than brighten your smile. It's the Whybrush halo.
- 11:07Speaker 2: It can screen for three hundred different health conditions with
- 11:10Speaker 2: an AI sensor built in that looks for anything that
- 11:13Speaker 2: can harm your teeth and gums and then potentially your body.
- 11:17Speaker 2: So when it's done, if you're all good, it flashes white.
- 11:20Speaker 2: If you might be sick, it flashes a different colors.
- 11:23Speaker 4: That's really interesting. I like that.
- 11:25Speaker 2: I know, keep a look out for it. And today
- 11:27Speaker 2: starts the lunar new year. In Chinese astrology, it is
- 11:34Speaker 2: the year of the Horse. Celebrations start today. They last
- 11:37Speaker 2: until March third, if you want to celebrate. Also, if
- 11:40Speaker 2: you want to know your Chinese zodiac animal, it depends
- 11:42Speaker 2: on what year you were born. I am an OX producer, Blake.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Do you know what you are?
- 11:46Speaker 4: I do not know.
- 11:47Speaker 2: You are a tiger. The year of the Horse is
- 11:52Speaker 2: supposed to bring a period of intense energy, bold transformation,
- 11:55Speaker 2: and rapid movement. And because of the fast pace, you
- 11:57Speaker 2: could experience burnout. So slow down, but be intense, be intentional, whatever,
- 12:04Speaker 2: Just google it. That's the things you need to know
- 12:06Speaker 2: more at the Alabama Show dot com.
- 12:09Speaker 1: You're listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 12:12Speaker 2: I have the most awesome story for today, all right,
- 12:15Speaker 2: hit me with it. So a six year old girl
- 12:17Speaker 2: in Pittsburgh has sold over one hundred thousand boxes of
- 12:21Speaker 2: Girl Scout cookies this year. Oh my gosh, which is
- 12:25Speaker 2: the most ever sold in a single season by a
- 12:29Speaker 2: Girl Scout.
- 12:31Speaker 4: That is an insane number.
- 12:33Speaker 2: And here's what makes it even more awesome. Her name
- 12:36Speaker 2: is Pim. She has special needs. She had previously been
- 12:41Speaker 2: turned away from a troop whose leader said that her
- 12:45Speaker 2: disabilities would hold the troop back. So at one point
- 12:48Speaker 2: she wasn't even allowed to be a Girl Scout. And
- 12:50Speaker 2: then this year she sold more than any other Girl
- 12:52Speaker 2: Scouts in a single season.
- 12:54Speaker 4: That is such an incredible story. Oh my god, that's a.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Great comeback story. Listen to Pim and her mom talk
- 13:01Speaker 2: about it.
- 13:02Speaker 1: My name is Kim.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Do any nice room goosie being somewhere now that she
- 13:06Speaker 2: has loved and wanted it just makes us so happy.
- 13:09Speaker 2: And how many Girl Scout cookies are you trying to sell?
- 13:12Speaker 2: Ten thousand was her goal, but then it ended up
- 13:15Speaker 2: being one hundred thousand. So Pim is what's awesome today.
- 13:18Speaker 2: If you have a good news story you want to share,
- 13:20Speaker 2: call the show eight three three five O one Bama
- 13:23Speaker 2: is the number.
- 13:24Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show. The following program
- 13:27Speaker 1: is on demand.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Congratulations, producer Blake, you have now become a man. I
- 13:33Speaker 2: don't know what this means. Thanks for listening to the
- 13:36Speaker 2: Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with Producer Blake. That's me because
- 13:40Speaker 2: you did the most man thing ever this weekend.
- 13:43Speaker 3: And I don't consider it a man thing, but yeah.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Lost because you wouldn't use your GPS because you said
- 13:49Speaker 2: I know the way.
- 13:50Speaker 4: What happened.
- 13:52Speaker 3: I was heading to my friend's house, uh huh in Georgia,
- 13:55Speaker 3: and I was like, I've been this way.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Turns out I didn't know the way.
- 14:01Speaker 3: I thought I did, but I still refused to use
- 14:05Speaker 3: my map.
- 14:05Speaker 2: How long did you add to your trip by getting lost?
- 14:11Speaker 4: An hour?
- 14:13Speaker 2: At what point did you realize that you were lost
- 14:19Speaker 2: at the.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Time I should have been there. I took too many
- 14:25Speaker 3: wrong turns.
- 14:28Speaker 2: So how'd you get out? Did you stop and ask
- 14:30Speaker 2: for help?
- 14:32Speaker 4: No?
- 14:32Speaker 3: After after about the time, I was like, man, I
- 14:35Speaker 3: should be close by now. I decided i'd pull off
- 14:38Speaker 3: to get gas and I pulled up the maps.
- 14:41Speaker 4: And it said an hour away.
- 14:44Speaker 2: I was.
- 14:46Speaker 4: A little behind.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Okay, I I thought I knew the way. I thought
- 14:50Speaker 3: I was a better.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I know, we have this conversation all the time with
- 14:55Speaker 2: other things than just driving.
- 14:58Speaker 3: I thought that was more knowledgeable my area that I was.
- 15:03Speaker 4: I tried.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Remember. Wasn't there a time when you were riding with
- 15:06Speaker 2: your parents through Mexico and they got and your dad
- 15:10Speaker 2: got y'all lost and you were fearing for your life?
- 15:14Speaker 4: Yeah, that happened.
- 15:16Speaker 2: What's the famous phrase about an apple and a tree.
- 15:21Speaker 4: The apple doesn't far far.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Far from the tree.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Just you care for your life sometimes.
- 15:29Speaker 3: I've made it this far, and I'll make it hopefully
- 15:33Speaker 3: just as far.
- 15:33Speaker 2: I've only made it twenty seven years so far.
- 15:36Speaker 3: That's still far. That's pretty good.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 15:40Speaker 3: All I'm saying is I made it safely. I just
- 15:44Speaker 3: literally took two wrong turns that led through for an.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Hour in the opposite direction of where you were supposed
- 15:51Speaker 2: to go.
- 15:52Speaker 4: Look, you see a disaster. I see an adventure. That's
- 15:55Speaker 4: where we lie here.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Okay, was it an adventure? It was?
- 15:59Speaker 4: I had a good time.
- 16:00Speaker 3: I'm looking at all the trees that are on the
- 16:02Speaker 3: side of the road.
- 16:03Speaker 4: Call the show.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Is your husband like this or do you know anybody
- 16:08Speaker 2: in your life like this? I know the way I'm
- 16:10Speaker 2: not looking at mats or does your husband or boyfriend
- 16:13Speaker 2: not look at directions? Putting furniture together, that's another thing
- 16:16Speaker 2: I'll do that drives me nuts.
- 16:18Speaker 4: I'll do that all the time, and.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Then you have to put it together. Five times eight
- 16:22Speaker 2: three three five oh one. Bama is the number. That's
- 16:24Speaker 2: eight three three five oh one two two six two.
