- 0:00Our guest is Alex Marlow. He is the editor in chief for the bright
- 0:05Bart News Network and he's author of a book called Breaking Biden, and it
- 0:09is jumped in to the New York Times bestseller list at number fourteen. Alex,
- 0:13good to have you with us this morning. It's great to be here.
- 0:17Thank you for having me. Aulo joze for my voice in a long
- 0:19week. Oh man, I guess so let's start here the book Breaking Biden.
- 0:25You know, I've talked to literally thousands of authors over the years,
- 0:29and there's always one thing that pushes somebody from an idea to Okay, this
- 0:35is a project that we're doing. What was it for you. One of
- 0:41the reasons why I wanted to take on Joe Biden as a research project was
- 0:44actually because I got the impression that people were underestimating him, and a lot
- 0:51of us on the right we have this tendency to dismiss him as a sort
- 0:56of a sort of a nincompoop or an idiot who kind of love into the
- 1:00job, and it's sort of out of patriotism in a way. I felt
- 1:07the need to challenge that hypothesis because I believe in this country and I believe
- 1:12it's a great country, So how could we possibly elect a person like that?
- 1:17And I realized we really didn't. We elected someone who's much more savvy,
- 1:23much more clever, much more resilient than that. And I was determined
- 1:27to figure him out because we're going to lose to him again if we're not
- 1:30careful, because he wins almost every election he has. He was senator for
- 1:34thirty odd years, he's vice president, and then now he's president, and
- 1:38he beat a very popular guy who got the most votes of all time for
- 1:42a sitting president. And I was trying to figure out, what's the alchemy
- 1:47that Joe has? Why does he keep beating us? And I think I
- 1:51was able to figure it out. He's got a combination of skills that are
- 1:56very very relevant. First of all, he's not an idiot. He's got
- 2:00a fastball, and we get distracted by the dumb things he said. But
- 2:05he said dumb thing for fifty years and we let that allow, We let
- 2:09that to wash over us and think it's funny. Well it's not funny.
- 2:13What it does is it is a curveball that it causes us to get in
- 2:17our heels. And once you kind of start realizing that's what's happening. Then
- 2:23you start challenging other hypotheses, like is Joe a puppett, Well, he's
- 2:28not really, because he's willing to go things alone when it's a terrible idea.
- 2:31Take, for example, the Afghanistan withdrawal, where he defied his generals,
- 2:36he defied all of our allies. He took a strategy that was his
- 2:38strategy, and his strategy alone, and not only did it lead to the
- 2:42death of American service members, it wind up droning a car full of children.
- 2:46And then we didn't even talk about it, really, we just allowed
- 2:49for that to happen. And then he left seven billion dollars of equipment in
- 2:53Afghanistan that was gobbled up by the Taliban and sold in the black market to
- 2:58terrorists like the one that killed all these Raelies over the weekend. And so
- 3:01what you start seeing that he really isn't just an idiot. He's actually an
- 3:06incredibly nefarious figure in American history, and not a dumb one. And he's
- 3:10got an agenda. His agenda is advancing his family accumulating power, but is
- 3:15not particularly ideological, which has served him well, and that's allowed him to
- 3:20move his feet a little more easily the more ideologically driven presidents. And so
- 3:24once we're in that realization and we're start to get in that headspace that I
- 3:30think you understand him better and I think that gives us a better chance to
- 3:32to feed him in a year. Alex Marlow with me, Alex standby,
- 3:36We're going to take a quick seventy second break here for whether in traffic.
- 3:38The book Breaking Biden, who was released on October third. You can get
- 3:44it at all the book outlets that you prefer, and we'll keep talking here
- 3:47on the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Welcome to Mad Radio Network, Make
- 3:53a Difference Radio Network, and this is the Morning Show with Preston Scott.
- 4:03Eleven minutes past, Jerome Hudson, dear friend and entertainment editor at Breitbart dot
- 4:12Com, was kind enough to link me up with Alex Marlow. He's the
- 4:15editor in chief of the breit Bart News network and, more importantly to our
- 4:19visit today, author of Breaking Biden and the subtitle exposing the hidden forces and
- 4:26secret money machine behind Joe Biden, his family, and his administration. Alex,
- 4:30without the benefit of being able to do a ton of research, you
- 4:34know what I do for a living. I look at a bunch of news
- 4:36stories, try to dig just a little bit, offer a thought or two,
- 4:41but just keep people informed on things. I go back to Joe's vice
- 4:46presidency, and he managed to get himself assigned to China and Ukraine and lo
- 4:50and behold, that's where his son is making millions, and that's where the
- 4:54payoff is. And you see it now when he's the resident of the United
- 4:58States. But where does this really start? Where does Joe begin that path
- 5:03of conniving. Does it go all the way back to his early days in
- 5:08the US Senate? Yeah? Does it actually goes back before his first Center
- 5:13race. I have reason to believe was rigged. It was a really close
- 5:15race. He'd be the guy named Caleb Boggs. Joe was heavily the underdog
- 5:21in that race. He was twenty nine years old, when the youngest senators
- 5:24ever and he actually ran as a young, fresh upstar face, which is
- 5:30kind of insane to think about today. And that race was very close.
- 5:33In the very end of the race, there was going to be a bunch
- 5:36of opposition research, a bunch of negative press that Joe was going to get
- 5:41the last minute, and it was all going to run in local papers,
- 5:44and then all of a sudden the papers went on strike. And it's pretty
- 5:49clear that they went on strike, not pretty particular reason other than that their
- 5:54arms were twisted to go on strike, and they were twisted by a guy
- 5:57named Frank Sheeran, which is a name that is probably fromamiliar to a lot
- 6:00of people in the audience because he was the subject of the book I Heard
- 6:03You Paint Houses, which turned into the Martin Scorsese movie The Irishman. Yep,
- 6:08so yeah, literally, the Robert de Niro character from The Irishman.
- 6:12Probably I don't have hard and fast evidence, but it seems likely stepped in
- 6:15and rigged the Center race on behalf of Joe Biden that got him into the
- 6:18Senate. So perhaps we could have avoided the whole thing if not for Frank
- 6:23Sheran, and then we wouldn't be in this mess today. That's what it
- 6:26appears to be the case. So do I know if Joe had his hands
- 6:30on the gears, then maybe not. Maybe it was people working in Joe's
- 6:33behalf. Again, it gets murky when you're going back fifty years, but
- 6:39it is it does appear that that was the case, and he got in
- 6:42in a rigged election. Well, anyone that's ever watched The Godfather knows anyone
- 6:46who receives favors wants favors in return. I love that. And the fact
- 6:51of the matter is, so, even if Joe's not pulling the levers at
- 6:55that point, the people that were want something in exchange. So is that
- 6:59our logical starting point is and it's the logical middle point and end points.
- 7:04The whole story of Joe Biden nailed it. I mean, and think about
- 7:08the Beisma example, which is the one that's probably the most familiar to your
- 7:11audience, but still the best one. It's a one hundred gets a million
- 7:14dollars a year job. If the breizeman's got we have no idea what his
- 7:18background is in Ukraine or his background is an energy he's none, So he's
- 7:23got a million dollars a year coming in. The Breezeman's got one request.
- 7:28Can you get the prosecutor to back off of us? They ask two times
- 7:31the testimony. Devin Archer confirms this, and then Joe comes in, and
- 7:35Joe comes in and gets the prosecutor fired, then brags about it on tape.
- 7:39We have a tape and them bragging about firing a prosecutor. Well,
- 7:43since the bragger Joe Biden was talking the Council on Forward Relations about this,
- 7:46we now learn thanks to Foye's that the State Department was very satisfied with the
- 7:53prosecutor. So we materially change United States policy to the clear financial benefit of
- 8:00Jo'biden's family, which is the statute for a violence to the statutes of bribery.
- 8:03So, I mean, he should have been hauled the lady ancuffs at
- 8:07that moment the second we got that tape, I mean, cous on Form
- 8:09Relations, all the evidence was there, and so it just proves two things.
- 8:13One he is willing to sell the American policy for money and two he's
- 8:18gotten away with everything over his career fifty years in his time. The voters
- 8:22finally hold him accountable. Joining me on the program is Alex Marlow, the
- 8:24book Breaking Biden. Alex stand by, We got another segment to go.
- 8:30We're gonna dig just a little bit deeper, but again, get the book,
- 8:35get all the information mentions holding people accountable. Boy, wouldn't that be
- 8:41refreshing. More to come on The Morning Show with Preston Scott WFLA at WFLA,
- 8:46FBAM dot com, on your phone with the iHeartRadio app, and on
- 8:48hundreds of devices like Alexa, Google Home, Xbox, and Sonos and Iheart's
- 8:52radio station. Final segment with the author of the book Breaking Biden, Alex
- 9:05Marlowe, who is editor in chief of bright Bart News, and my guess
- 9:09for just a few more minutes. You mentioned the tape Council for the Foreign
- 9:13Relations I've been playing that since he ran for the presidency and had a lot
- 9:20of fun with it. He's basically admitting a crime, Alex. But my
- 9:24question is how what's in it for Barack Obama. Clearly he had to know
- 9:30what Joe was doing. Yeah, I think so, And I think he
- 9:33was fine to get away with it. I would to let Joe get away
- 9:37with it because one of the things that appealed to Joe. One of the
- 9:41reasons why Joe was actually was actually put him in ticket with Obama is because
- 9:46he gave the impression that he was a poor person. Now, Joe wasn't
- 9:50particularly poor. He lived in a ten thousand square foot house. It had
- 9:54a ballroom in it, and then the house sold to a bank executive who
- 9:58was a big owner or a for a bank that was a huge downer to
- 10:03Joe Biden's campaign. So it's all very corrupt, and Joe certainly had some
- 10:05money, but Joe is bad with money. Joe's whole family's bad with money.
- 10:09If you look at their history, it is a story going back to
- 10:13Joe's dad, of the Biden's making a lot of money and then squandering it.
- 10:16If you look at a hunter, he's so often coming into deals that
- 10:20are worth six figures, seven figures, perhaps even eight figures, though it's
- 10:24hard to get the exact dollar amounts in some of these cases, and then
- 10:28he ends up blowing all of it and ends up, you know, they
- 10:30all have to put their heads together and how to make more money. But
- 10:33because of this, he got the impression that Joe was kind of a poor
- 10:37guy, and that was a big incentive for Obama to put him on the
- 10:39list, to make him seem, to make him seem more relatable. And
- 10:46I think that other than that, Obama I think is kind of tuned out.
- 10:50I don't think he's puppeteering Joe. I think Obama is a very self
- 10:54aggrandizing guy. I think he's a liberal, but I think he's a pragmatist
- 10:58in the sense that we's left this and a pragmatist in that he's fine with
- 11:01incremental change and that's what Joe's bringing him. So I think Obama's pretty happy
- 11:07with Joe. I think he's happy you picked Joe. And even though he
- 11:11has said he'd never underestimate Joe's ability to f things up, he knows if
- 11:15you give him big assignments, there's a very good chance it's going to be
- 11:16a problem. You mentioned Joe being ideologically flexible throughout his career, and I
- 11:22agree with that up until becoming the resident of the United States. It's hard
- 11:26for me to say president. It seems as though he has gone extreme far
- 11:31agendaed left. What's the end game? What's the exit strategy for Joe and
- 11:39all of this? Yeah, well, the exit strategy was Joe had hoped
- 11:41you'd have a dynasty. This was one of the things that was sort of
- 11:45one of the most fascinating parts of our research was realizing not only has is
- 11:50he ambitious enough to be president, he wants to be able to pass it
- 11:54on and the goal was to pass it on to Bo. But Bo,
- 11:56of course passed away of cancer. So he's got no one to He can't
- 12:00really hand it to. You know, his brothers, Frank and Jim,
- 12:03they're both Fredos in the group to continue the Godfather analogy, yep't he can't
- 12:07hand it to Hunter for obvious reasons. So he's kind of stuck here.
- 12:11So it really is a super long game Joe was playing. But you're correct
- 12:16to note that he's become a leftist. But I think that's a practical thing.
- 12:20I think he's learned over time that if you throw bones and you satisfy
- 12:24the biggest goals of the left wing base, they will forgive you. And
- 12:28them forgiving you doesn't just mean that they're going to vote for you. It
- 12:31means you're going to cut checks. It means the newspaper write ups are going
- 12:35to be more positive. It means that they're basically going to keep their hands
- 12:37off and they're going to leave them alone. And so I think pandering to
- 12:41the left is a huge part of his secret sauce. Before you get to
- 12:46something that you tease me with when we were talking in the break that you
- 12:50thought I'd find funny, amusing or interesting? Does is Joe the nominee in
- 12:54twenty four I have maintained he would not be. Yeah, we have to
- 13:01operate with the premise that he will be because he's wanted this since he was
- 13:03a boy. I almost couldn't go far back enough to determine when he had
- 13:07gone and he wanted to be president, but it was certainly an early childhood.
- 13:11So he's not going to get shuffled off after thinking about this thing for
- 13:15seventy years. His whole life has been defined by the presidency, first coveting
- 13:18it and now being it. So and there's no logical air. If bo
- 13:22was a governor of Delaware right now in the sixty percent approval rating, yeah
- 13:28he'd step aside and let Bow in there. But he doesn't have that.
- 13:31So because it's the scenario is not there for him. I think he's on
- 13:35the ballot unless he takes a huge dive health wise. But I wanted to
- 13:39share a thank you to Tallahassee because I have a research team of five people
- 13:45that helped me on the book, and all of them have helped you just
- 13:48write your own past number one best sellers before those people, or at least
- 13:52three, I think one since moved, are all Tallahassee residents. So Tallahassee
- 13:54plays a big role in the success of his book. So I owe the
- 13:58town of yet imagine that considering we have survived twenty one years in one of
- 14:03the most liberal communities in the state of Florida. I just explained to people,
- 14:09Alex, you want proof that there is a God. I'm on the
- 14:11air in Tallahassee and have been for twenty one years. There you go,
- 14:16yeah, And you know, I grew up in LA I went to Berkeley,
- 14:18I lived in DC, I lived north of LA. I mean there
- 14:22is in this country, which is a truly diverse country. You do see
- 14:26these that there's pockets of hope within Tallahassen that are hopefully changing the world.
- 14:31And I can't thank you guys all enough. Alex, thanks for the time
- 14:35this morning. Best of success on the book. Give our friend Jeromah hello.
- 14:39I will do that. Thanks again, Thank you, sir, Alex
- 14:41Marlow with us this morning. The book is Breaking Biden, exposing the hidden
- 14:48forces and secret money machine behind Joe biden Is family and his administration. Our
- 14:56guest here on The Morning Show with Preston Scott
