- 2:13Speaker 1: What are you doing right now? Where are you calling from?
- 2:15Speaker 5: I'm calling on my break from work.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Where do you work? What do you do?
- 2:18Speaker 5: Well, currently I'm a maintenance technician at McDonald's.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 2:23Speaker 1: What McDonald's are you at?
- 2:25Speaker 5: Good Hope, Alabama.
- 2:26Speaker 2: All right.
- 2:26Speaker 1: We love you, Matt. Thank you for listening to us
- 2:28Speaker 1: in McDonald's and starting your day. Appreciate it.
- 2:32Speaker 4: All right.
- 2:32Speaker 1: You want to play super easy trivia to win these
- 2:34Speaker 1: tickets to Rock the South? Absolutely. Okay. I'll ask the questions. Producer,
- 2:38Speaker 1: Blake is your lifeline if you need him. Here's question
- 2:41Speaker 1: number one. Matt, what is the name of the pirate
- 2:44Speaker 1: in Peter Pan?
- 2:46Speaker 4: Captain Hook.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Good job. That's right. Next one. What is a group
- 2:51Speaker 1: of lions called?
- 2:52Speaker 3: Oh, gosh.
- 2:53Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Can I ask for a last one?
- 2:55Speaker 3: Yep.
- 2:56Speaker 1: What is it, Blake? It's a prod. And last one.
- 3:01Speaker 1: For the win. Matt, what color are Smurfs?
- 3:04Speaker 3: Blue.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Blue's it.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Blue.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Congratulations, buddy. You're going to rock the South.
- 3:21Speaker 2: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama show.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Alabama fire officials are warning of elevated wildfire risk with
- 3:28Speaker 1: the dry conditions that we've had. So we've had dry
- 3:31Speaker 1: weather and drought conditions across Alabama. a lot and the
- 3:35Speaker 1: risk for wildfires is up and it's just the beginning
- 3:38Speaker 1: for fall fire season which runs through november so don't
- 3:41Speaker 1: leave your fire pits unattended and if you do decide
- 3:45Speaker 1: to burn a fire pit because it's starting to cool
- 3:47Speaker 1: off make sure you wet around it with a water
- 3:49Speaker 1: hose Ed Sheeran just lost half a million Instagram followers
- 3:53Speaker 1: over his tour drama. This happened after a decision to
- 3:56Speaker 1: drop Macklemore as his opening act over Macklemore's statement supporting Palestine.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Macklemore wrote on Instagram that he was pushed out at
- 4:05Speaker 1: the request of Robert Kraft, who's the owner of Gillette Stadium.
- 4:08Speaker 1: He said that Kraft organized a group of stadium owners
- 4:11Speaker 1: in a boycott, and they all told Ed Sheeran that
- 4:14Speaker 1: he could not perform again. if he would not drop McLemore.
- 4:17Speaker 1: So Ed Sheeran dropped McLemore. The other opening acts left
- 4:21Speaker 1: the tour for Ed Sheeran, too, in solidarity with McLemore.
- 4:24Speaker 1: So we'll keep you updated if anything else happens from that.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Dennis Haskins, who played principal Belding on Saved by the Bell,
- 4:32Speaker 1: passed away at the age of 75.
- 4:34Speaker 4: I love Saved by the Bell. I love Principal Belding.
- 4:37Speaker 4: It was a fun show, and it'll be sorely missed.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yeah. We do not yet know the cause of death,
- 4:43Speaker 1: but his rep confirmed yesterday or overnight that he has
- 4:48Speaker 1: passed away. So as we find out more, we will
- 4:50Speaker 1: keep you updated. And that is three things you need
- 4:53Speaker 1: to know. More at thealabamashow.com.
- 4:56Speaker 2: The Alabama Show on demand. Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 5:00Speaker 1: My little cousin's baby tried to kiss a stranger.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Can you go into more detail?
- 5:05Speaker 1: That is a loaded statement. By the way, thanks for
- 5:07Speaker 1: listening to The Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with producer Blake.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You know, my little cousin Hannah, I talk about her often.
- 5:13Speaker 1: She is the voice of... What the hell? That was
- 5:16Speaker 1: her when she was a kid. She's now in her 20s.
- 5:19Speaker 1: She's got a baby, Ida, who is my whole world. Yes, correct.
- 5:23Speaker 5: I know.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Our whole family loves Ida. goes my grandmother, who raised
- 5:28Speaker 1: me and Hannah, spends a week on Hannah's and a
- 5:32Speaker 1: week off. And during her week on, she watches Ida
- 5:35Speaker 1: while Hannah and baby daddy go to work. Yes, correct, yeah.
- 5:38Speaker 1: So this week, while me mom was watching Ida, they
- 5:42Speaker 1: had to have a pest control guy come out to
- 5:44Speaker 1: the house. Oh, gosh, man. Why? To spray for bugs. Okay.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Well, he comes in. After he's done, he does all
- 5:53Speaker 1: the things. And he comes to me, Ma, and he's like,
- 5:56Speaker 1: everything's good, blah, blah, blah. Here's the rundown. Got some wasps.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Everything's good to go. She goes, okay, thank you. Well,
- 6:03Speaker 1: then he gets ready to leave, and Ida looks at him,
- 6:05Speaker 1: and she tries to give him a kiss. She's two
- 6:07Speaker 1: years old.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Why would she try to give this random man a kiss?
- 6:11Speaker 1: It's her new thing. And Mamaw even laughed and looked
- 6:14Speaker 1: at him and goes, I think she wants to give
- 6:15Speaker 1: you a kiss. He goes, that's the nicest thing that's
- 6:17Speaker 1: happened to me all day.
- 6:19Speaker 4: What is going on in your.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Family, man?
- 6:22Speaker 6: She didn't, though.
- 6:23Speaker 1: So then Mamaw told Hannah and baby daddy what she
- 6:27Speaker 1: tried to do, and they both were like, No. You
- 6:30Speaker 1: only kiss Dada.
- 6:32Speaker 5: No.
- 6:33Speaker 4: So they scolded her for being a baby.
- 6:36Speaker 1: For being a baby. For trying to kiss strangers.
- 6:40Speaker 7: I agree.
- 6:40Speaker 1: That's weird, but it's a child.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I know.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Kids are so weird.
- 6:45Speaker 4: And how do you go, I'm going to kiss this
- 6:48Speaker 4: man like as a child?
- 6:49Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Because we always tell her when we're leaving, we'll be like,
- 6:53Speaker 1: we're leaving. Give me a kiss bye. And she'll come
- 6:55Speaker 1: up and give us a kiss bye. So maybe it's like.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Into thinking that she has to kiss people before they leave.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:03Speaker 4: So that man was like, all right, I'll see y'all.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Was that so weird? I know. Call the show. I
- 7:10Speaker 1: know there's parents listening to the show. If you've got
- 7:12Speaker 1: little kids, they've tried to do weird stuff like this.
- 7:15Speaker 1: What did they do? 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 7:17Speaker 3: That's 833-501-2262.
- 7:22Speaker 2: The Alabama Show, on demand, free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Has your kid ever tried to kiss a stranger? Because
- 7:29Speaker 1: my little cousin's baby tried to kiss the pest control
- 7:31Speaker 1: guy when he left the other day. You can always
- 7:34Speaker 1: call the show, 833-501-BAMA. But also, we have a talkback mic.
- 7:38Speaker 1: If you're listening to us on the iHeartRadio app, click
- 7:40Speaker 1: that talkback mic and tell us your story right there.
- 7:44Speaker 1: That's the talkback mic in the free iHeartRadio app.
- 7:47Speaker 2: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama show.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Helena's Buck Creek Festival is bringing back its duck race
- 7:55Speaker 1: October 9th through 10th. They also have music and local vendors.
- 7:58Speaker 1: But if you want to see the duck race, it
- 8:00Speaker 1: is coming back this year. 1980s hairstyles are making a comeback,
- 8:04Speaker 1: according to Glamour, for the fall season. The big trend
- 8:07Speaker 1: is 80s hairstyles, and big, big hair is the thing
- 8:11Speaker 1: that they all have in common. So some of the
- 8:13Speaker 1: things you'll start seeing is the ponytail made famous by Madonna,
- 8:17Speaker 1: the side part blowout by Cindy Crawford, the pineapple updo,
- 8:21Speaker 1: Sarah Jessica Parker, and the permed curls inspired by Dolly Parton.
- 8:25Speaker 1: So just big hair, big hair for the fall if
- 8:27Speaker 1: you want to keep up with the latest fashion trends.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Anne Hathaway's doctor banned her from doing hot ones because
- 8:36Speaker 1: she's pregnant. She's scheduled to go.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Yes.
- 8:40Speaker 1: So that's the interview series Hot Ones where people go
- 8:43Speaker 1: try the super, super hot wings.
- 8:45Speaker 4: It's one of the best series on YouTube. Yes.
- 8:47Speaker 1: She had a plan to do it. And her doctor
- 8:50Speaker 1: said you can't do it because it could make her
- 8:53Speaker 1: go into early labor. It's that bad?
- 8:55Speaker 4: He can do that? Yeah.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I did not know that. Yeah, if you're pregnant, stay
- 8:59Speaker 1: away from the mat sauces. Good God. She's currently expecting
- 9:03Speaker 1: her third child with her husband, Adam Shulman. Her doctor
- 9:06Speaker 1: said you can do it next year. So maybe after
- 9:09Speaker 1: she has the baby, they'll call her in. I would
- 9:11Speaker 1: like to see that episode, yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I know.
- 9:13Speaker 1: It would be good. That's three things you need to know.
- 9:15Speaker 1: More at thealabamashow.com.
- 9:18Speaker 2: The Alabama Show on demand.
- 9:20Speaker 6: Amazing.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 9:24Speaker 1: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show. Heather, good morning.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Do you have good news?
- 9:28Speaker 5: I do have good news.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Okay, what's your good news?
- 9:32Speaker 5: So it was my birthday this weekend.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Happy birthday. And it wasn't... Thank you.
- 9:37Speaker 5: I wasn't going to be able to go out with
- 9:39Speaker 5: anybody on Friday, so I decided to be brave, and
- 9:41Speaker 5: I went out by myself.
- 9:43Speaker 6: Yes.
- 9:44Speaker 5: And I was just sitting at a bar, enjoying my drinks,
- 9:47Speaker 5: scrolling my phone, and there was a table of girls
- 9:50Speaker 5: next to me, and they said.
- 9:51Speaker 6: Hey, queen.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Yes.
- 9:54Speaker 5: I turned around, and they were like, do you want
- 9:56Speaker 5: to come sit with us? And I said, would it
- 9:59Speaker 5: be weird if I sat with you?
- 10:00Speaker 1: Yes?
- 10:00Speaker 5: And they were like, absolutely not.
- 10:01Speaker 1: And my new friends.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Shout out to Hannah and Kyler and Taylor.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Yes. My new friends.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I love, first off, happy birthday. What bar was it?
- 10:11Speaker 5: It was Beer Hog in Pelham.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I love that. And shout out to girls who are
- 10:16Speaker 1: not mean girls and are nice. Because as you get
- 10:19Speaker 1: older as a girl, I think it's hard for us
- 10:21Speaker 1: to find other girlfriends because we, I don't know if
- 10:25Speaker 1: we feel like we're competing against each other or like
- 10:27Speaker 1: life changes. Like a lot of my best girlfriends have
- 10:30Speaker 1: kids and so it's harder for them to go out.
- 10:31Speaker 1: So I am so glad those girls invited you over
- 10:34Speaker 1: and you made some new friends. That is awesome.
- 10:36Speaker 5: Thank you. Yes, we were all Facebook friends by the
- 10:38Speaker 5: end of the night.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Yes.
- 10:39Speaker 1: That gets another air horn. Well, also, since it's your birthday,
- 10:44Speaker 1: our friends at Rock and Roll Sushi love to help
- 10:47Speaker 1: people celebrate their good news. I'd love to give you
- 10:49Speaker 1: a $ 50 gift card to Rock and Roll Sushi so
- 10:51Speaker 1: you can go treat yourself again for your birthday.
- 10:53Speaker 5: Well, thank you so much. I love Rock and Roll Sushi.
- 10:56Speaker 2: The Alabama Show on demand.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Yes!
- 10:58Speaker 2: Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Here's your good news for today. All right, what do
- 11:02Speaker 1: we got, Alabama? There's a new Publix coming to Kimberly. Okay, okay. Now,
- 11:09Speaker 1: if you live in Kimberly, you don't have to drive
- 11:11Speaker 1: to Gardendale for a grocery run anymore because the Publix
- 11:14Speaker 1: is going to be at the new shopping center development
- 11:17Speaker 1: in the north Jefferson County town of Kimberly. We're just
- 11:20Speaker 1: moving on up. I love this.
- 11:21Speaker 6: I know.
- 11:22Speaker 1: It's going to be right off Highway 31. So, new
- 11:25Speaker 1: Publix coming. If you live in Kimberly, get excited. Kimberly's
- 11:28Speaker 1: kind of on the back side of where I live.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:31Speaker 1: So, I'm pumped. Anyway, if you want to find out more,
- 11:34Speaker 1: go to behamnow.com.
- 11:36Speaker 2: The Alabama Show on demand, free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 11:42Speaker 6: Welcome to Wheel of Pumpkin.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I'm your host, Ryan Seacrest.
- 11:56Speaker 7: In honor of fall, the Alabama Show is having producer
- 11:58Speaker 7: Blake try all the pumpkin spiced flavored treats this season
- 12:02Speaker 7: has to offer. Producer Blake, get ready to spin the
- 12:05Speaker 7: wheel and see what pumpkin spice flavored treat you will
- 12:09Speaker 7: be trying today.
- 12:10Speaker 1: I got two more things yesterday at Trader Joe's.
- 12:12Speaker 6: Okay. I got.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Pumpkin spice flavored. First off, we already know you're going
- 12:19Speaker 1: to do the pumpkin spice espresso martini. Do I even
- 12:22Speaker 1: need to spin? Yeah, you need to spin because we
- 12:24Speaker 1: know you're going to get that. I put it on
- 12:25Speaker 1: the wheel a bunch of times, but not yet. And
- 12:28Speaker 1: then the next thing that I brought in, pumpkin cream
- 12:31Speaker 1: cheese croissants.
- 12:33Speaker 6: We are, we did something similar.
- 12:35Speaker 4: I don't want, oh my gosh.
- 12:37Speaker 1: And pumpkin pie spice glazed donut holes.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Why would anybody do that?
- 12:45Speaker 6: That's an awful idea.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Let me open the martini.
- 12:49Speaker 6: Okay.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Let me smell it. Oh yeah, that's pumpkin-y.
- 12:53Speaker 4: It's pouring in the bag.
- 12:54Speaker 6: God.
- 12:58Speaker 1: I'm not drinking all that.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Yeah, you are. No, I'm not.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Okay. Spin the wheel, buddy.
- 13:03Speaker 3: All right.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Let's go. All right. Let's see. Martini, martini, martini, martini, martini, martini, martini.
- 13:12Speaker 6: Croissant.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I really didn't want you to get these because these
- 13:16Speaker 1: sound really good and you're just going to waste it.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:20Speaker 4: You know this dude it every time.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Here, just take a little bite. Don't even touch it
- 13:26Speaker 1: with your hands here.
- 13:27Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh.
- 13:28Speaker 1: There. Try the cream cheese pumpkin croissant.
- 13:32Speaker 2: All right.
- 13:32Speaker 6: A little bite.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Oh.
- 13:37Speaker 4: The inside. Oh.
- 13:39Speaker 1: It's cream cheese pumpkin. All right. Spin the wheel. Spin
- 13:43Speaker 1: the wheel again. Yeah, we're doing it twice.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Spin the wheel. Martini, martini, martini, martini. Oh. croissant well

- 14:09Speaker 7: Oh my god what does it taste like it tastes
- 14:13Speaker 7: like a burnt martini oh my gosh.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I'm going to go to the bathroom. That's awful.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I'm going to throw up.
- 14:20Speaker 6: That's awful.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I'm not doing this.
- 14:23Speaker 2: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 14:27Speaker 1: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show. Ty, good morning.

- 14:35Speaker 3: I have a treat, a pumpkin treat.
- 14:38Speaker 6: No, stop it, Ty. What is it?
- 14:39Speaker 1: No, we don't have to.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Yes. You got to go to Sam, and you have
- 14:45Speaker 3: to get these pumpkin cream cheese blondies.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Ooh.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Blondies.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Anything, I'm telling you, anything pumpkin cream cheese, so good.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it's so much. If you like brownies and the
- 14:58Speaker 3: texture and all that stuff, it's lumped up into one.
- 15:02Speaker 3: So me and my daughter sit there to eight, nine,
- 15:04Speaker 3: and they're huge. All right.
- 15:07Speaker 1: We're going to do that. We're going to do that.
- 15:10Speaker 3: You are so welcome. Either way, I can help.
- 15:12Speaker 1: We love you. Thank you, Ty. Have a good day.
