  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit be able to speak through this mic

  Speaker 1: and go through the listeners' ears and be able to

  Speaker 1: reach their hearts and minds and be able to apply

  Speaker 1: these verses to their lives. In the Lord Jesus Christ's

  Speaker 1: name I pray. Amen. So we're going to be in

  Speaker 1: 1 Corinthians. I've covered this a while back and closed

  Speaker 1: the series out. But I have started a kind of

  Speaker 1: new way. And just in addition to how I do

  Speaker 1: the episodes, going off of the verse of the day

  Speaker 1: and kind of letting the Holy Spirit and my spirit

  Speaker 1: intertwine and take lead. And that's the thing about preaching

  Speaker 1: and teaching. Two different things. So... If you want to

  Speaker 1: it's 1 Corinthians chapter 13, verse 6. I'll give you

  Speaker 1: Jesus faith-based. The gospel of Jesus Christ. The only one

  Speaker 1: that did it right. There was plenty before him that
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: got close. There was plenty after him that got close.

  Speaker 1: But nobody went sinless. And that's why Jesus is king.

  Speaker 1: Let's jump into it. Because I'm very passionate about... I'm
• 1:53
  Speaker 1: very passionate about this because I know how it is
• 1:56
  Speaker 1: to be on the other side of the fence. So
• 1:59
  Speaker 1: 1 Corinthians chapter 13 verse 6 states, If I love people,
• 2:04
  Speaker 1: I will not be happy when wicked things happen. Instead,
• 2:09
  Speaker 1: I will be happy when things happen that are right
• 2:12
  Speaker 1: and true. A righteous person does not like when things
• 2:21
  Speaker 1: go wicked. And there are so many opportunities to do
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: the right thing. Yet, a lot of us do the
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: wrong thing. And we thrive off of it. And it
• 2:32
  Speaker 1: kind of goes back into the Bible where it states
• 2:37
  Speaker 1: that wicked people do not go to sleep or do
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: not get rest until they do something that is wicked
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: to someone. Making someone belittled or making someone feel not enough.
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: And there's other things that they can do, right? Just
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: like there's fruits of the Spirit... There's also fruits of
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: the bad spirits. Let's get into it. Let's get into it.

  Speaker 1: I want to read more into this because it is
• 3:06
  Speaker 1: very crucial that we understand what love really means. We
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: tend to throw that love word around, right? And just
• 3:13
  Speaker 1: like there's different forms of spirits, there's different forms of love.
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: But the real true identity in Christ is the love
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: from God Almighty. And the Holy Spirit makes us understand it.
• 3:28
  Speaker 1: So if I love people, this is verse 7, 1
• 3:32
  Speaker 1: Corinthians chapter 13. I will always accept their problems. I
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: will always believe them. I will always hope for what
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: is best. I will always be patient in any kind
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: of trouble. Allowing people to be honest and giving them
• 3:51
  Speaker 1: that comfort. To be able to be themselves. Whether it
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: is in their destruction. Whether it is in their self pity.
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: Whether it is in their complaining. Allowing them. To be.
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: With you. In that moment. Hear me out. Jesus. Was
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: such a great listener. He didn't think about what he
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: was going to say. Before he. Before. He heard them out.
• 4:25
  Speaker 1: And that's what we got to illustrate. We got to
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: be a mirror. We got to be like Jesus. We'll
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: never be perfect though. And that's why we need the
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. Amen. So as I continue to go through
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: 1 Corinthians chapter 13. I want you to keep an
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: open mind and an open heart. Verse 8 states, love
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: will always continue. Let me repeat that. Love will always continue.
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: The gift to speak messages from God will not always
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: be necessary. The gift to speak in different languages will
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: stop one day. The gift to know special things will
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: not always be necessary. What is this telling us? That
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: it's not necessary to be able to even comprehend someone.
• 5:19
  Speaker 1: You don't have to comprehend them in order to love them.
• 5:23
  Speaker 1: There are so many different forms of gestures. And our
• 5:31
  Speaker 1: way that we behave and the way that we use
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: our hands as motion, right? To kind of express how
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: we're speaking and our facial expressions. It's very beautiful when
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: you see what the power of the Holy Spirit can do.
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: The flesh is weak, but the spirit is strong and
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: it's willing. But we have to be obedient participants to
• 6:02
  Speaker 1: that spirit. And when we sin, we don't make room
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: for the Holy Spirit. The spirit has to leave. Because
• 6:12
  Speaker 1: you're making the decision to keep that other spirit around.
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: I want you to really grasp this. The Holy Spirit
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: is the only spirit that can be able to get
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: you to heaven. I'll repeat that again. The Holy Spirit
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: is the only spirit that can get you to heaven.
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: And how do you have that spirit, right? With the
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: relationship that you have with Jesus Christ. Now, just like
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: relationships in the world, it takes time. It takes effort.
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: And sometimes you're going to be bothered by what the Spirit,
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit, convicts you of. And just like somebody
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: that works out on their petite, the outer appearance, it's
• 7:09
  Speaker 1: the same way you have to work on your spirituality.
• 7:15
  Speaker 1: And being able to be in tune with the Holy
• 7:17
  Speaker 1: Spirit is such a beautiful thing. I've experienced it myself.
• 7:22
  Speaker 1: And I continue to experience it as I follow Christ. Now,
• 7:25
  Speaker 1: does that mean that I am sinless? No. But I
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: am very honest in prayer and allowing the Holy Spirit
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: to work on my heart, to work on my mind.
• 7:39
  Speaker 1: Because I can't do it alone. Just like I couldn't
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: stop drinking alone. I had to be around like-minded people
• 7:46
  Speaker 1: that wanted to stop. It doesn't matter that the desire
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: is taken away. The disease is still there. And when
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: it comes to believing in Christ and following Christ, we
• 8:04
  Speaker 1: all come in as infants. Just like babies. That baby
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: kind of faith. I remember when I was 16 years old,
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: 17 years old, and I accepted Lord Jesus as my
• 8:18
  Speaker 1: Lord and Savior. I did not understand what I really
• 8:23
  Speaker 1: signed myself up for. And even though I had a
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: praying grandmother. Rest in peace. She passed away a long
• 8:29
  Speaker 1: time ago. I have a praying mom. That did not
• 8:33
  Speaker 1: eliminate me. From the sinful world. I desired. Worldly things.
• 8:43
  Speaker 1: Whether it was in my relationships. Whether it was in
• 8:46
  Speaker 1: a bar. Whether it was. In finances. And I could never.
• 8:54
  Speaker 1: Get a grip. Of the world anyways. The world chewed
• 8:59
  Speaker 1: me up. And spit me out. And. This. Recovering. Alcoholic.
• 9:09
  Speaker 1: Drug addict. Is a walking testimony. To what God can
• 9:13
  Speaker 1: really do. I don't care how long I have to go. Unrecognized.
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: I do not need to be boasted. I don't need
• 9:21
  Speaker 1: to be cheered. I celebrate on my own. I'm very,
• 9:28
  Speaker 1: very grateful for the process that I've had. Tomorrow I
• 9:31
  Speaker 1: will have two years. In five months I have not
• 9:33
  Speaker 1: picked up a drink or a hardcore drug. In those
• 9:38
  Speaker 1: two and a half, close to two and a half years.
• 9:43
  Speaker 1: I've had to be in a program. To reprogram my mind.
• 9:47
  Speaker 1: To reprogram my consciousness. Now some days are better than others.
• 9:54
  Speaker 1: But I don't have bad days anymore. Because the Holy
• 9:58
  Speaker 1: Spirit lives in me. There's a peace and joy. That
• 10:01
  Speaker 1: this world could never give me. And I'm preaching right now.
• 10:06
  Speaker 1: But I'm also going to allow the Holy Spirit to.
• 10:09
  Speaker 1: To take wave. So let's jump into it. As I continue. To.
• 10:17
  Speaker 1: Let's see. We got about three more minutes. So. At
• 10:21
  Speaker 1: this time, we know only a part of everything. See,
• 10:26
  Speaker 1: we don't know everything. Whether it's about this world. Forgive
• 10:31
  Speaker 1: me for truck going by thinking he's cool, going fast.
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: In a parking lot. Pray for him. I pray for him.
• 10:41
  Speaker 1: The inconsiderate of this world that we live in. The gift.
• 10:47
  Speaker 1: The gift. The gift. Think about this for a moment.
• 10:53
  Speaker 1: At this time, we know only a part of everything.
• 10:56
  Speaker 1: We can only speak a part of God's whole message.
• 10:59
  Speaker 1: But a time will come when everything becomes complete. I
• 11:03
  Speaker 1: want to stop right there before I get into the
• 11:05
  Speaker 1: next sentence. In the verse. What God started in you,
• 11:11
  Speaker 1: He will complete. Now, when it is complete, that doesn't
• 11:14
  Speaker 1: mean that that's the end. The work that is being
• 11:18
  Speaker 1: done with the Holy Spirit, when you allow it to
• 11:20
  Speaker 1: come in, It is honestly preparing you for what you
• 11:26
  Speaker 1: will be doing in heaven. It's not all about just
• 11:31
  Speaker 1: glorifying Jesus. We're going to be glorified as well. And
• 11:37
  Speaker 1: that's why it's very important what we do here on
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: earth while we're here is crucial because it's going to
• 11:48
  Speaker 1: overflow into the next life. Amen? So I say that
• 11:52
  Speaker 1: Because we all have time. But a lot of it
• 11:57
  Speaker 1: is borrowed time. When God does that, we will not
• 12:05
  Speaker 1: need the small bits that we have now. When I
• 12:09
  Speaker 1: was a child, I talked like a child. My thoughts
• 12:12
  Speaker 1: were a child's thoughts. I understood things in a way
• 12:15
  Speaker 1: that a child understands them. But now that I have
• 12:18
  Speaker 1: become a man, I have stopped talking. being like a child.
• 12:21
  Speaker 1: Now how many of us know somebody that is a
• 12:25
  Speaker 1: grown man or a grown woman and still acting like
• 12:28
  Speaker 1: a kid? When the Bible talks about keeping that childlike spirit,
• 12:36
  Speaker 1: it does not mean that you act like a child
• 12:40
  Speaker 1: all the time. It's keeping the spirit pure. Because when
• 12:45
  Speaker 1: you come into this world, your innocence gets contaminated with
• 12:51
  Speaker 1: But with the grace of God by the Holy Spirit,
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: you can be able to be made new again. Purified. Obviously,
• 13:01
  Speaker 1: you're not going to go back to an infant. But
• 13:04
  Speaker 1: your spirit does. And that is the only kind of
• 13:08
  Speaker 1: spirit that can get into heaven. Now, why is that?
• 13:11
  Speaker 1: Because when we are matured in our faith, our spirit
• 13:19
  Speaker 1: is more mature. understanding to not be so closed minded.
• 13:28
  Speaker 1: Knowing that other people that believe and follow Christ, they're
• 13:31
  Speaker 1: on different plateaus. They're on different journeys with Christ. We're
• 13:38
  Speaker 1: all on different journeys. Yeah, we intertwine and we meet
• 13:41
  Speaker 1: certain people that we click with and we resonate with.
• 13:45
  Speaker 1: But even the people that we don't click and resonate with,
• 13:48
  Speaker 1: we have to pray for them. We have to pray
• 13:51
  Speaker 1: for them. Pray for that enemy. Not everybody you encounter
• 13:56
  Speaker 1: is for you. But not everybody that you encounter is
• 13:58
  Speaker 1: against you either. And nobody can be in the way. Amen?

  Speaker 1: So with that being said, let's go ahead and close out.
