Speaker 1: This is a challenging position, you know what I mean.
• 0:03
Speaker 1: But I see Derek Harmon there. I read like that pick.
• 0:06
Speaker 1: I take Jayalen Walker, I take Johnny Barron.
• 0:11
Speaker 2: To man, you did I mean we got think you're
• 0:18
Speaker 2: going all defense right now?
• 0:19
Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, we need defense, we need we need if
• 0:26
Speaker 1: not like Ted was the only one that I really
• 0:29
  Speaker 1: wanted that.
• 0:30
Speaker 2: Receiver last year, you took Tyler Guidon, left tackle out
• 0:33
Speaker 2: of Oklahoma Mozie Smith. The pick is in and the
• 0:39
Speaker 2: Dallas Cowboys are selecting Tyler Booker, offensive lineman from Alabama,
• 0:53
Speaker 2: is the official pick out of the Crimson Tide.
• 1:01
Speaker 1: I am I am excited about hey player, but we
• 1:07
Speaker 1: just laughing at him. Hold on, hold on, I am
• 1:08
Speaker 1: excited about the pick. This guy is a beast. He
• 1:11
Speaker 1: is a beast. And I look at him and Tyler
• 1:14
Speaker 1: Smith guard on guard with Zach Martin leaving. This is
• 1:18
Speaker 1: one of them picks. I mean, Wow, he is a beast.
• 1:22
Speaker 1: He is a beast. I just wanted to see that
• 1:24
Speaker 1: on my side football. That's it. But this guy's a beast.
• 1:28
Speaker 1: I'm not mad at the pick.
• 1:30
  Speaker 2: I get it.
• 1:30
Speaker 1: Look now, the type of excitement I had it as
• 1:32
Speaker 1: a cowboy. He runs I'm talking about Yeah, God, oh god,
• 1:35
Speaker 1: this is exciting. I had like anybody who excited like
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: this boy, All.
• 1:39
Speaker 2: Right, let me try and get Michael Parts is even
• 1:41
Speaker 2: more excited because this is a first team All American,
• 1:44
Speaker 2: first team All SEC the captain of Alabama. He describes
• 1:49
Speaker 2: his play style as legal assault.
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: Quote.
• 1:52
Speaker 2: I make guys not love football, okay more is what
• 1:56
Speaker 2: he said. And an NFL scout said he keeps every
• 2:00
Speaker 2: want accountable in the locker room. He is a natural
• 2:03
Speaker 2: born leader. So with the twelfth pick, Tyler Booker to
• 2:06
  Speaker 2: the Cowboys, I.
• 2:08
Speaker 3: Really like this pick actually because one, I think he's
• 2:11
Speaker 3: the most NFL ready. I think he's the best guard
• 2:13
Speaker 3: in this draft list. Like bar Nune pass protecting he
• 2:16
Speaker 3: might be. If I had to put money on who's
• 2:18
Speaker 3: going to be the best offensive lineman year one in
• 2:20
Speaker 3: the NFL rookie year, it'd be Tyler Booker. He looks
• 2:22
Speaker 3: like a vet in his ability to handle power as
• 2:26
Speaker 3: a pass protector, uses his hands so well, so quick
• 2:28
Speaker 3: to replace, and look at the tools man, the traits,
• 2:30
Speaker 3: the arm lank thirty four and a half inches for
• 2:33
Speaker 3: an offensive guard. It wouldn't surprise me if the Dallas
• 2:36
Speaker 3: Cowboys within the next three to four years have the
• 2:38
Speaker 3: best guard due in the NFL. And you look at
• 2:40
Speaker 3: the contracts guards you're getting now, it's comparable to offensive tackles.
• 2:43
Speaker 3: People want those clean dishes, the clean pockets for quarterbacks
• 2:46
Speaker 3: to step up into, and they are going to have
• 2:48
Speaker 3: that Dallas And you just think about their division. We
• 2:51
Speaker 3: talked about it. The Giants now one of the best
• 2:53
Speaker 3: defensive lines in the NFL. The Eagle is always going
• 2:55
Speaker 3: to have one of the best defensive lines in the NFL.
• 2:57
Speaker 3: You better have a front five that goes player player
• 3:01
Speaker 3: Players stunt across the board, and Cowboys have a very
• 3:04
Speaker 3: good chance of doing this. Obviously other guys higher on
• 3:07
Speaker 3: my board right here, but I'm still gonna give it
• 3:09
Speaker 3: an a minus at I still think this is a
• 3:12
Speaker 3: chalk up a hit pick. Even if you could have
• 3:14
Speaker 3: swung for the fences, you're hitting a double here.
• 3:16
Speaker 2: And now that you've heard runner talk, what do you think.
• 3:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, I told you I'm not mad at the pick.
• 3:21
Speaker 1: Understanding where Zach Martin departure. Here's a figurehead, Yeah yeah,
• 3:27
Speaker 1: And I mean you take this guy, you say, this
• 3:30
Speaker 1: is where we're going to need the most help. You
• 3:32
Speaker 1: still have Cooper bb who had a great year, but
• 3:34
Speaker 1: he's coming back for a second year experience. But now
• 3:38
Speaker 1: we're young again. You know, Terrence Terrence Steell is a
• 3:41
Speaker 1: young old tackle has played better and tremendously better towards
• 3:44
Speaker 1: the end of the season. Now you have a consistent
• 3:47
Speaker 1: young old line. You gotta think where the Dallas Cowboys were.
• 3:50
Speaker 1: What's our Brendan Butter. Yes, it's always been running a football,
• 3:53
Speaker 1: dominating up front, and this guy helps us do that.
• 3:55
Speaker 1: So I'm not mad at the pick. Yes, I wanted
• 3:58
Speaker 1: somebody next to me, but I can get that in dates.
• 4:00
Speaker 2: That is the story of being a fan of the
• 4:02
Speaker 2: NFL draft. When your team takes an offensive lineman, you go, now,
• 4:04
Speaker 2: that's probably what we needed to do, but you wanted others.
• 4:07
Speaker 2: But you're like, dad, but that's what they probably should have. Yes,
• 4:10
Speaker 2: but Slagh laugh and that laugh was so hearty. It's
• 4:13
  Speaker 2: so good.
• 4:14
Speaker 1: I'm feeling good about it because now we got we
• 4:16
Speaker 1: got two takes. Jayalen Carter can't just keep guard and
• 4:19
  Speaker 1: Tyner Smith.
• 4:20
  Speaker 3: That's true.
• 4:21
Speaker 1: And you watch Dalen Carter versus Tyler Smith and is
• 4:24
Speaker 1: like clashing the Titans like I was watching it, like
• 4:27
Speaker 1: breaking down the film. I'm like hotly like and Tymas
• 4:30
Speaker 1: Smith's coming like, yeah, he's one of those ones too,
• 4:32
Speaker 1: but I don't think he was ready for my strength.
• 4:34
Speaker 1: And I'm like, no one's ready for your chip Styllar.
• 4:36
Speaker 1: So so now we have another. It was a t
• 4:40
Speaker 1: S duo, the Thalas Smith Tyrris Smith. Now we got
• 4:43
  Speaker 1: both Tyler's at.
• 4:44
Speaker 2: Guard Tyler Booker, Tyler Booker, and now that now the
• 4:48
Speaker 2: Cowboys have drafted offensive lineman three in the last four years.
• 4:52
Speaker 2: In the first round, Tyler Smith, Tyler Gotting and now Tyler,
• 4:54
Speaker 2: you got three Tylers. Just say Tyler in the meeting
• 4:57
Speaker 2: room and you're gonna go on.
• 4:58
Speaker 1: I'm literally got my one hundred pushups as this because
• 5:01
Speaker 1: I gotta get ready for practices, anchoring and pastising against
• 5:04
Speaker 1: two beasts, and you're showing. It's gonna be a wild camp.
• 5:08
Speaker 1: It's gonna be showing up to camp.
• 5:10
Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I know we gotta I know we have
• 5:15
Speaker 2: a special guest joining us shortly, but we're gonna have
• 5:17
Speaker 2: to wait on him. You feel good though about the Cowboys.
• 5:20
Speaker 1: Pat, Yeah, I feel good. I feel good. If we're
• 5:22
Speaker 1: gonna take I'm just glad we didn't go for offensive tackle.
• 5:27
Speaker 1: I'm just happy we took the best guard. I think
• 5:29
Speaker 1: this guy, like I said, he's the beast.
• 5:31
Speaker 2: To that point in a draft where a lot of
• 5:33
Speaker 2: the tackles are saying, oh, he's more of a guard,
• 5:36
Speaker 2: and yet this guy is the best guard. I do
• 5:38
  Speaker 2: find that interesting.
• 5:39
Speaker 3: I think guys will play tackle or at least gonna
• 5:42
Speaker 3: get a shot to tackle. Maybe they have to move inside.
• 5:44
Speaker 3: And then the one thing to note about Booker a
• 5:47
Speaker 3: lot of outside zoning heavy teams. He was not a
• 5:49
Speaker 3: great testing athlete. He is a pham booth sort of guard.
• 5:52
Speaker 3: Not gonna be an issue.
• 5:53
Speaker 1: And you gotta understand if Will McClay told Jerry Joe
• 5:56
Speaker 1: damn right to take this dude that twelve damn right,
• 5:59
Speaker 1: you know for sure he is the one.
• 6:01
Speaker 2: I'll tell you what so many people on TV talking
• 6:04
Speaker 2: about Jerry Jones. Dude, Will Clay's been running this draft
• 6:07
Speaker 2: for twelve years. He is the guy in Dallas. He
• 6:10
Speaker 2: is the nerd in a closet that they feed snacks too.
• 6:14
Speaker 1: Were running back to the original Dallas cowboy. I don't
• 6:16
Speaker 1: like nothing about Dallas.
• 6:18
  Speaker 2: Talk about it.
• 6:18
  Speaker 1: I just don't. Don't you wanted to be account. I
• 6:21
Speaker 1: never never, no, never never. I hate the cowboy, the
• 6:26
Speaker 1: whole family, cowboy fans. I can't get enemy. Hey, I
• 6:28
Speaker 1: reme you know like you know, I remember when you know,
• 6:32
Speaker 1: you know the Eagle shy do a little released you
• 6:34
Speaker 1: know how they do for their little money and ship
• 6:36
Speaker 1: like that. Oh d come talking. He's like, git the money, right,
• 6:39
Speaker 1: I'll be over there.
• 6:43
  Speaker 2: The money.
• 6:46
Speaker 1: Get the money can be the best money.
• 6:47
  Speaker 3: I ain't going.
• 6:48
Speaker 1: Wow, so it does offered you fifteen you wasn't covering.
• 6:52
Speaker 1: I can't go. He's like you from Texas. You live
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: in Texas. I can't go live in Texas. I can't
• 6:58
Speaker 1: do a fire, you know ros
