- 0:07Speaker 1: at the Hollow at Manchester Country Club.
- 0:09Speaker 2: We are yes, yes, and make sure.
- 0:12Speaker 1: That's what Todd put on, That's what Tid put on
- 0:14Speaker 1: social media. Back here on the twenty fourth, and then
- 0:18Speaker 1: six yes, and then we have a bonus show on
- 0:22Speaker 1: March the fourth, and Gino's good friend Mike Kavanaugh is
- 0:26Speaker 1: going to join us. I'm basically going to tell them
- 0:28Speaker 1: when to break. I'm just gonna let you two go
- 0:30Speaker 1: at it for an hour.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Hey, is that show at six or seven at the Hollow?
- 0:34Speaker 1: By the way, we're moving these yes, Anna texted us
- 0:37Speaker 1: those will be seven o'clock.
- 0:38Speaker 3: The next two shows.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Will be seven o'clock because you have a late practice schedule.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Like okay, great, yes, so Anna asked us to do that.
- 0:44Speaker 1: So seven o'clock for the next two and then then
- 0:47Speaker 1: March the fourth, caval visit and you guys can talk
- 0:50Speaker 1: philosophy and all that fun stuff with sports and how
- 0:52Speaker 1: you handle your teams. His team's at May and this weekend,
- 0:55Speaker 1: by the way, because Gino's always asking me about the hockey.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Team, big hockey fan.
- 1:00Speaker 1: He is in any kind anytime he can go, he can.
- 1:03Speaker 1: They've already sold like seven thousand for the BC game
- 1:07Speaker 1: in Hartford on the twenty first, whatever that whatever that
- 1:11Speaker 1: Saturday is. Are we here, Yes, we're here.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Do we play? Yes?
- 1:16Speaker 1: You play Providence on Sunday. That'll be Senior Day. So yes,
- 1:20Speaker 1: so yes you can go.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Oh good, good, good, good good. I don't know if
- 1:24Speaker 2: you ever, if you've not been to a hockey game,
- 1:27Speaker 2: college hockey game. It's so much fun. It's so much fun.
- 1:30Speaker 2: It's fast, it's really skilled players. It's no nonsense. You know,
- 1:35Speaker 2: they don't do any nonsense, no crap. They just play hockey.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:39Speaker 2: It's really, really, really amazing. Our guys are tenth in
- 1:43Speaker 2: the country right now.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Tenth or eleventh, yeah whatever that power rating is.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Yeah, tenth in the country.
- 1:48Speaker 1: They actually might drop a little bit because of Northeastern
- 1:50Speaker 1: losing last night to Harvard in the pip consolation game.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Cav was all over that last night.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Yeah, any surprises with your team at all this year,
- 2:01Speaker 1: anybody stand out that's really taking a big leap that
- 2:05Speaker 1: maybe you didn't expect. I mean, Ali would be an
- 2:07Speaker 1: obvious choice there I mean the leaps that she has taken.
- 2:11Speaker 1: What about your freshmen, like say Calise, that you see
- 2:15Speaker 1: every day in practice. I know you raved about Gandhy
- 2:19Speaker 1: and what your hope are for her is next year,
- 2:21Speaker 1: But has anybody taken a really big, big leap that
- 2:24Speaker 1: maybe you didn't expect with your team, even even Sarah Raisier. No.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I think I think KK more than you know, more
- 2:36Speaker 2: than any of the other regulars in the.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Rotation, given the responsibility. Yeah.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and just she's better around the basket, you know,
- 2:45Speaker 2: like last year she wasn't as good at finishing around
- 2:49Speaker 2: the basket. Her her mid range jumper has been better.
- 2:55Speaker 2: You know, She's just you know, playing with a little
- 2:58Speaker 2: more confidence. And so I think she's she's made a
- 3:05Speaker 2: really significant jump from you know, from last year to
- 3:12Speaker 2: this year for sure.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yeah, given the responsibilities that she had. And I don't
- 3:15Speaker 1: know if you guys have noticed. I mean, obviously the
- 3:17Speaker 1: mask speaks for itself, but her pointer finger on her
- 3:20Speaker 1: shooting hand is all taped up, just from going for
- 3:23Speaker 1: steels and jamming her fingers and stuff. And she was
- 3:26Speaker 1: talking to us, talking to us, stepping myself after the
- 3:28Speaker 1: DePaul game. It's like sometimes it can be hard to
- 3:31Speaker 1: get a feel in the basketball and your fingers taped
- 3:33Speaker 1: up like that.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Yeah, she says it. She says she broke it, and
- 3:38Speaker 2: I don't you know, I got to believe her. I mean,
- 3:42Speaker 2: she says she broke it, and I asked her she's
- 3:45Speaker 2: going to be Rip Hamilton and wear that thing for
- 3:47Speaker 2: the rest of her life, you know.
- 3:48Speaker 3: The mask. Yeah, you know, like Leah Warre a lot
- 3:50Speaker 3: to remember that one year.
- 3:52Speaker 2: So she's shooting the ball really well with that thing
- 3:54Speaker 2: on her finger. I would tell her to keep it
- 3:56Speaker 2: on there. I would try to break the other finger.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Too, as I was saying, I know, if you want
- 4:04Speaker 3: it out of your point guard.
- 4:05Speaker 2: I mean sometimes sometimes kids, you know, maybe you know
- 4:09Speaker 2: it's just something you know. But all I know is,
- 4:12Speaker 2: you know, she got she got hit there today and
- 4:15Speaker 2: you can see her wins when it happened. But I
- 4:19Speaker 2: think she's remarkably done, remarkably well considering it's not the
- 4:23Speaker 2: easiest thing in the world, right when you're a ball
- 4:25Speaker 2: handling guard and one of your fingers is you know,
- 4:29Speaker 2: taped up. So now I've been really proud of her.
- 4:34Speaker 2: You know, she's been she hasn't had many bad games
- 4:37Speaker 2: this year.
- 4:38Speaker 1: No, No, I mean her fellow junior, Ashland Shade. I
- 4:42Speaker 1: mean she's just been everywhere. Okay, probably, I don't know.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I'd have to look this up at this from this
- 4:47Speaker 1: point last year to now, but maybe your shooting numbers
- 4:50Speaker 1: are down a little bit. But what else she's doing.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I mean, there's at least forces per game. She's had
- 4:57Speaker 1: a lot of steels lately.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Uh.
- 5:00Speaker 1: She goes after it on the offensive glass about as
- 5:01Speaker 1: well as any guard as you have. Along with Kaylee.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I mean, she she just grinds. She's getting a little work.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Seems like the three balls falling a little bit.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Better for her over this stretch.
- 5:12Speaker 1: But I don't know if for shooting numbers are as
- 5:14Speaker 1: good as they were last year, but everything else she's
- 5:16Speaker 1: doing just fine.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Yeah, they probably aren't. They probably aren't because at the
- 5:23Speaker 2: beginning of the season they were really bad.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know, she was like three for twenty
- 5:28Speaker 2: at one point or something like that, really bad. And
- 5:30Speaker 2: little by little by little, it's you know, she's probably
- 5:33Speaker 2: in the thirties, right, I mean early early thirties.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Yeah, mid thirties, almost thirty seven.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Like the beginning of the depression. Or something like that.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Yeah earlier, yeah, so yeah, she's come along.
- 5:43Speaker 2: So yeah, so, but she's getting through it. And the
- 5:48Speaker 2: one thing though, is it doesn't stop her.
- 5:50Speaker 3: No, no, you know no.
- 5:54Speaker 2: So we're trying to do some things to get her.
- 5:58Speaker 2: But this is all of our guards too. Like I
- 6:00Speaker 2: give you a for instance, the kid we're playing tomorrow night,
- 6:05Speaker 2: the creaton point guard is that, yeah, has made one
- 6:08Speaker 2: hundred free throws. Right, She's made one hundred. I think
- 6:13Speaker 2: that's more than all of our guards combined.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Actually, she's eighty seven of one hundred.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Oh, eighty seven of one hundred. Yes, Why I told
- 6:21Speaker 2: those guys she made a hundred. Okay, well, you know,
- 6:24Speaker 2: just to piss them off.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Well let's see the most free throws of anybody on
- 6:29Speaker 1: your team. Wow, not many, Toliana, Sarah's only taking fifty five.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Sarah's taking fifty five free throws.
- 6:38Speaker 2: That's my point, that's my point. We don't we don't
- 6:41Speaker 2: shoot enough free throws.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Three twelve nationally and free throws made per game three
- 6:45Speaker 1: thirty six nationally, and free throws attempted per game.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Out of three hundred. How many schools, uh, three hundred
- 6:52Speaker 2: and fifty four?
- 6:52Speaker 3: Probably something like that.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, we don't shoot free throws. And we have
- 6:56Speaker 2: such a good shooting team, but we don't shoot.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Free throws enough. Yeah.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Well, you guys have pets, okay, so you know when
- 7:06Speaker 2: you if like I had a I had a dog,
- 7:10Speaker 2: but my mom used to chain him to the clothesline
- 7:14Speaker 2: in the back, so he had like a runner. He
- 7:18Speaker 2: could run up and back in the yard. He couldn't
- 7:19Speaker 2: go anywhere. But we didn't have like my father would
- 7:24Speaker 2: tell me to go cut the grass. It would take
- 7:26Speaker 2: me like fifteen seconds. I would take the you know,
- 7:29Speaker 2: the loanmower there you pushed with the blades. I go one, two,
- 7:32Speaker 2: and we got this little thing that looked like third base,
- 7:35Speaker 2: you know, with that much grass done. But those of
- 7:38Speaker 2: you that have like real lawns, you know, and you
- 7:40Speaker 2: have pets, and you put that what's it called invisible
- 7:43Speaker 2: fence out there. Our players they think there's an invisible
- 7:47Speaker 2: fence at the three point line.
- 7:52Speaker 1: We'll finish that thought, man, We got to take a
- 7:53Speaker 1: break here, catch up here.
- 7:54Speaker 2: They get to the three point line and they stop.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Did you see?
- 7:57Speaker 2: Easy fudd stop and shoot a three with nobody in
- 7:59Speaker 2: front of her in the ten.
- 8:00Speaker 3: To see game back with Gito would have been another coming.
- 8:02Speaker 2: You didn't say what this.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Hey, it's Mike Monico and Chrissy Monico. You know, champions
- 8:08Speaker 3: Choose Monico four
