- 0:18Speaker 2: If you haven't heard the latest with the fairies that
- 0:20Speaker 2: we've brought are buying from China, you're going to want
- 0:23Speaker 2: to hear this, so stand by. It's twenty past five
- 0:25Speaker 2: online deal website. Though grab one has gone into liquidation.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Today's you know trouble is this is not good news
- 0:31Speaker 2: for people who've bought vouchers. They will not be refunded,
- 0:34Speaker 2: according to the liquidators, and that means it's up to
- 0:36Speaker 2: businesses to decide whether they're going to honor the vouchers
- 0:38Speaker 2: or not. Deon Tilson is the general manager for Podokai
- 0:42Speaker 2: Springs and he's with us now.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Hey, Dion, Hey, how are you very well?
- 0:46Speaker 2: Thank you? Are you guys honoring the vouchers?
- 0:48Speaker 3: We are yet yet. No, We've made a conscious decision
- 0:50Speaker 3: and good faith to honor whatever unredeemed vouchers they are
- 0:54Speaker 3: out there in the market. Unfortunately, we don't know exactly
- 0:57Speaker 3: how many that is because the merchant system has been
- 0:59Speaker 3: shut down to them. To other businesses, we expect there's
- 1:03Speaker 3: probably up to five hundred still family and adult vouchers
- 1:06Speaker 3: still out there.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Have you been paid for them?
- 1:09Speaker 3: We haven't been paid for a segment of the school
- 1:12Speaker 3: holiday vouchers, so we're estimating we've probably lost twenty thousand
- 1:16Speaker 3: dollars in income to date and potentially another ten to
- 1:20Speaker 3: twenty thousand and unredeemed vouchers that we will redeem for
- 1:23Speaker 3: customers as long as they can provide some sort of
- 1:27Speaker 3: an email will proof bank statement of the like that
- 1:30Speaker 3: they did buy a voucher in the first place.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, this is the trouble, right because the
- 1:33Speaker 2: website's down. They can't necessarily print it out, can they.
- 1:37Speaker 3: That's it, So we'll be working with those customers.
- 1:40Speaker 2: You know, well always.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Recommend maybe de flick as an email instead of just
- 1:42Speaker 3: turning up at the counter, so we can arrange it.
- 1:45Speaker 3: We do have, you know, some databases, and the most
- 1:48Speaker 3: recent databases we downloaded, so we do have some information,
- 1:51Speaker 3: but some of the latest purchases we don't have on file,
- 1:55Speaker 3: so it is going to be a bit of a
- 1:56Speaker 3: case by case basis. But you know, we will do
- 1:58Speaker 3: our best to honor and make sure that those customers
- 2:00Speaker 3: do get the service state they purchase through credule.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Deon Je's so you're just doing this for goodwill, like
- 2:06Speaker 2: you don't have.
- 2:06Speaker 3: To do this A no, that that's our viue, no
- 2:10Speaker 3: said now. And we've seen a lot of businesses. I've
- 2:11Speaker 3: spoken to a lot of partners businesses, you know, restaurants
- 2:14Speaker 3: and so forth, Hotels, they may not be in a
- 2:17Speaker 3: position to be able to offer it. You know, we're
- 2:18Speaker 3: a hopeful complex. A lot of those voucher uses are
- 2:23Speaker 3: repeat visitors, so you know there's a good faith aspect
- 2:27Speaker 3: to it. And you know we're leading up to Christmas.
- 2:29Speaker 3: It's been a tough year. We certainly don't want to
- 2:30Speaker 3: put people out of pocket, so you know, we made
- 2:32Speaker 3: a conscious decision the managers and the directors to make
- 2:35Speaker 3: sure that we do honor those vouchers for those people
- 2:38Speaker 3: that have basically lost out will being let down by
- 2:40Speaker 3: grab one.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Good on you man, that's very decent of you. That's
- 2:43Speaker 2: Deon Tilson, who is the general manager at Pudakaie Springs
- 2:46Speaker 2: in Auckland.
