- 0:06Speaker 2: Well Bill o'reiley, the number one TV anchor for decades,
- 0:09Speaker 2: the number one best selling non fiction author on Earth.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Hey.
- 0:12Speaker 2: By the way, if you're looking for Christmas presents, his
- 0:14Speaker 2: books Great Idea Book is a great Christmas present, and
- 0:17Speaker 2: his big best sellers. You can get everything at Bill

- 0:25Speaker 2: the column everything, and make sure you check out his

- 0:30Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 0:32Speaker 1: You know I'm wrapping presents? Do you believe that?
- 0:36Speaker 2: Well, don't you get him wrapped at the store. Don't
- 0:40Speaker 2: you get him?
- 0:41Speaker 1: I'm not rapping. I actually hired people to do that
- 0:46Speaker 1: because I can't rap anyway. Even if I could rap,
- 0:49Speaker 1: I can't rap. But you know, it's a crazy time,
- 0:53Speaker 1: as you know, this is our last shot I think
- 0:56Speaker 1: before Christmas. Yeah right, yeah, we're fun.
- 1:00Speaker 2: I don't know. I haven't decided yet.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Oh last minute kind of.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Guy, definitely always so, well will you be around Christmas?
- 1:10Speaker 2: You're going away here?
- 1:11Speaker 1: Yeah? I like to stay in here. You know. That's
- 1:15Speaker 1: a tradition for my family in Levittown. We had great
- 1:20Speaker 1: Christmases there when I was growing up. Everybody in the
- 1:25Speaker 1: neighborhood got together, and it was a much lighter time
- 1:29Speaker 1: and history than it is now, that's for sure. But
- 1:34Speaker 1: I kind of extended that and so we'll be on
- 1:37Speaker 1: Long Island and hopefully everybody will be happy.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, I mean your message of the day. You
- 1:46Speaker 2: go to Bill O'Reilly dot com every day there's a
- 1:48Speaker 2: message of the day. But you're talking about Trump You've
- 1:51Speaker 2: known forever. I've known this guy from millions of years.
- 1:53Speaker 2: I just got used to it. I think you haven't
- 1:55Speaker 2: gotten used to it yet because you said I don't
- 1:57Speaker 2: understand why he likes to walk on the wild side.
- 2:00Speaker 2: That's him, that's part of him.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Yeah, but there's a calculation that you have to make.
- 2:06Speaker 1: And I think the President made a mistake with the
- 2:10Speaker 1: Rob Ryiner stuff and not so much a Vanity Fair stuff.
- 2:14Speaker 1: That was just a foolish move. Why bother, Why not
- 2:17Speaker 1: give the time to Mark Simon or Bill O'Reilly. You
- 2:21Speaker 1: know who's going to give you a fair assessment. Why
- 2:25Speaker 1: do you want to go to Vanity Fair out in
- 2:27Speaker 1: Hollywood where they all hate you and you know they're
- 2:30Speaker 1: not going to write anything good about you. I don't
- 2:33Speaker 1: understand that. But there comes a point, and I know
- 2:38Speaker 1: this to be true, where Donald Trump wants his legacy
- 2:42Speaker 1: and history to be cemented in a positive way. Yeah,
- 2:47Speaker 1: and he has got an amazing story to tell. Nobody's
- 2:51Speaker 1: ever done what he's done as far as getting elected,
- 2:55Speaker 1: as far as trying to solve as many problems as
- 2:58Speaker 1: he's taken on. He's got a good story tell. But
- 3:02Speaker 1: it goes over the cliff with the Rob Reiner stuff,
- 3:06Speaker 1: and that is yes, you're correct, he's playing buoyant. He's
- 3:10Speaker 1: going to say he wants to say, and all that
- 3:12Speaker 1: has worked for him. It has all worked for him.
- 3:18Speaker 1: But now he's in a different stage of his life.
- 3:22Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to get across when we speak. Now,
- 3:26Speaker 1: you've got to start cementing your legacy, and the first
- 3:30Speaker 1: step to that is winning the midterm elections next year.
- 3:33Speaker 1: If you lose, your legacy is going to be damaged.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, of course, you're one hundred percent right, totally right.
- 3:40Speaker 2: But again, I've known the guy for millions of years
- 3:43Speaker 2: and I've been hearing people say this forever and I
- 3:45Speaker 2: can't tell you why, but this is what he does.
- 3:48Speaker 2: He enjoys it. It's like when you see a normal,
- 3:51Speaker 2: distinguished guy, and every night he goes out and gets
- 3:53Speaker 2: drunk out of his mind. Why does he do it?
- 3:54Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I mean, you know, look, Trump likes the action. Yeah, okay,
- 4:01Speaker 1: he likes just like somebody goes to casino. He's betting
- 4:06Speaker 1: fifteen football games. He likes the action, and he knows
- 4:12Speaker 1: when he throws something out on social media that the
- 4:17Speaker 1: next day or two is going to be dominated by
- 4:19Speaker 1: what he says, and that engages him. Absolutely true, but
- 4:26Speaker 1: there is a selective process. You're can have the action
- 4:30Speaker 1: without hurting yourself. And that's what I'm trying to get across.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Oh, you're right, but I'm you know, It's like I
- 4:36Speaker 2: love to watch the football game and then there's a
- 4:38Speaker 2: guy next to me who bet fortune on it and
- 4:40Speaker 2: he's having an art attack during the game. I don't
- 4:43Speaker 2: know how you can enjoy that, but there are guys
- 4:45Speaker 2: that enjoy that. And that's Trump.
- 4:47Speaker 1: You like it. No, I mean, look, I'm not a psychiatrist.
- 4:50Speaker 1: All I'm doing is trying to say, look, and this
- 4:53Speaker 1: is my whole career, more than fifty years. And you know,
- 4:57Speaker 1: I was at a media party then. I never go
- 4:59Speaker 1: to these things, but Dan Abrams through it and he's
- 5:02Speaker 1: a good guy, and so I did go. And you know,
- 5:05Speaker 1: I'm the icon no, a last man standing five year old,
- 5:10Speaker 1: fifty years in this business. And the reason I've lasted
- 5:14Speaker 1: so long and continue to do well is because I
- 5:20Speaker 1: want the best for the country. That is what I do.
- 5:28Speaker 1: And I clearly spell out why I say what I say.
- 5:34Speaker 1: And I think that Donald Trump has been a very
- 5:37Speaker 1: good president policy wise, you know. And I understand his
- 5:43Speaker 1: anger because the same thing happened to me at a
- 5:44Speaker 1: much more limited thing. But I've been attacked. You know,
- 5:49Speaker 1: thirty out of the fifty years, first twenty were being
- 5:52Speaker 1: a reporter. So I was attack being a reporter once
- 5:55Speaker 1: I came into the news analysis area. My family, me, everybody,
- 6:01Speaker 1: and you are furious when that happens and bitter, and
- 6:05Speaker 1: that is what Donald Trump is consumed by these people.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Just yesterday, the Grass Leaders Center from Iowa puts out
- 6:17Speaker 1: that there's no probable cause to raid Marlago for the
- 6:21Speaker 1: top secret documents. Then they did it anyway, and nobody
- 6:25Speaker 1: will be held to account. Well, he drives Trump nuts,
- 6:30Speaker 1: and it should He's a human being. I got a
- 6:34Speaker 1: list of people that I like to visit and I
- 6:37Speaker 1: will't be bringing Christmas presents to him, but I'm a
- 6:41Speaker 1: little bit more restrained.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Well, but that's you, and you've always done a great show.
- 6:47Speaker 2: You don't cross the limb. But there I've seen other hosts,
- 6:49Speaker 2: and you know who some of them are. They've always
- 6:51Speaker 2: got to cross the line. They've always got to do
- 6:53Speaker 2: something outrageous. They've always got to get in a little trouble.
- 6:56Speaker 1: They enjoy it, but that's because they don't have anything else.
- 6:59Speaker 1: They got and die on controversy. That's when they make
- 7:02Speaker 1: their money. But Trump's got other stuff and that's when
- 7:08Speaker 1: we speak. That's what tried to across to him because
- 7:12Speaker 1: he knows that, you know, I wroke in fronting the presidents.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I mean, I didn't rank him, but you can clearly
- 7:18Speaker 1: see which presidents were successful and which presidents weren't. And
- 7:22Speaker 1: then Trump inherent's the second worst president in our history.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Joe Biden, all of that mess he has to deal with,
- 7:30Speaker 1: and he's dealt with it pretty effectively. But you really
- 7:34Speaker 1: need Rob Reiner. You don't need any You can be
- 7:38Speaker 1: in the action without hurting yourself. That is my message.
- 7:43Speaker 2: That's a good message, but it's not the only guy
- 7:46Speaker 2: I've ever seen change maybe Howard Stern, who was, you know,
- 7:50Speaker 2: always getting himself into trouble and then a couple of
- 7:52Speaker 2: years ago, decided, I'm going to clean all that up.
- 7:54Speaker 2: I'm gonna be woke, I'm going to be That's the
- 7:55Speaker 2: only one of those guys I've ever seen switch and
- 7:58Speaker 2: actually change.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And I don't think Trump has to change. He just
- 8:04Speaker 1: has to modify a little bit. I think it would
- 8:10Speaker 1: be bad for him to change because he gets a
- 8:14Speaker 1: lot done by sheer force of personality, by just his presence.
- 8:20Speaker 1: So why would you change that. I wouldn't, but you
- 8:24Speaker 1: you have a selective menu of things that you can
- 8:27Speaker 1: tweet about, and when somebody's throat is cut, I don't
- 8:32Speaker 1: know if I would go into that precinct.
- 8:36Speaker 2: No, of course I wouldn't either. But and he should modify,
- 8:39Speaker 2: but let's not hold our breath waiting for it. I
- 8:42Speaker 2: don't think it's good.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Look, it's not my job to be his campaign manager.
- 8:48Speaker 1: I'm not Colonel Tom Parker with help us, Okay. I'm
- 8:52Speaker 1: looking out for the country. And he's a strong president
- 8:58Speaker 1: who's done a lot of and a lot of Americans
- 9:01Speaker 1: will never admit it because they believe what they want
- 9:03Speaker 1: to believe. But he has. He's brought a lot of
- 9:10Speaker 1: different approaches to solving problems and has been successful more
- 9:15Speaker 1: than he's not been successful. So you don't want to
- 9:19Speaker 1: blunt that, I don't think, but creating unnecessary barriers for yourself.
- 9:27Speaker 1: But you're right. I mean again, I mean I can
- 9:30Speaker 1: only do what I can do. I can talk to
- 9:33Speaker 1: guys like you. I can do the No Spin News,
- 9:36Speaker 1: I can go on News Nation, I can write my books.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I can't do any more than that. But I am
- 9:42Speaker 1: I have to tell the truth. I'm compelled to tell it,
- 9:47Speaker 1: and that I think has worked for me.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Well again, you're not wrong, You're not wrong. But it's
- 9:54Speaker 2: always going to be this way with him. Hey, by
- 9:57Speaker 2: the way, Christmas book is a great crit present. You
- 10:01Speaker 2: don't have to go in the store and look for
- 10:02Speaker 2: a book. Is a perfect present your people.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Yeah, you know from your life. In this very troubling
- 10:08Speaker 1: age where evil seems to be overwhelming us, people need
- 10:13Speaker 1: to know about how it assembles, how it gains power,
- 10:18Speaker 1: and how what you can do as a human being
- 10:22Speaker 1: a good person to mitigate it. Because as much as
- 10:26Speaker 1: evil in a Bondai beach or Brown University. It's in
- 10:30Speaker 1: your neighborhood and sometimes in your own family, as the
- 10:33Speaker 1: reins found out, and when you see it, you can't
- 10:38Speaker 1: turn away. That's the theme of the book. But what
- 10:41Speaker 1: I've done is to save people money, because I know
- 10:44Speaker 1: money is tight with the insurance payments you got to
- 10:47Speaker 1: make and we all have to make, and the food.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I put all my books together, fifteen of them, thirteen Killing,
- 10:54Speaker 1: two Confronting for a very very reasonable price on Bill
- 10:58Speaker 1: O'Reilly dot com. You give those books away as presents,
- 11:02Speaker 1: you will save yourself hundreds of dollars by doing that.
- 11:06Speaker 1: And these books are in demand. People want them. Sound
- 11:10Speaker 1: like a tie or something, you know, if you give
- 11:13Speaker 1: to me a tie, because in a droid of a
- 11:14Speaker 1: see it again. No, So you know, we're all we
- 11:19Speaker 1: can make a lot more money than we make. But
- 11:21Speaker 1: I'm not in business to do that. I'm in business
- 11:23Speaker 1: to try, as I said, to make the country a
- 11:26Speaker 1: little bit better, a little bit more comfortable.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it's a great Christmass. You get one book,
- 11:30Speaker 2: but the best deal is the fifteen bestsellers, and you
- 11:33Speaker 2: got all your Christmas shopping done right there, Bill O'Reilly
- 11:36Speaker 2: dot com. Bill O'Reilly dot com. Well, Bill O'Reilly will
- 11:38Speaker 2: talk to you, I guess in the new year. Have
- 11:41Speaker 2: a great holiday and thanks for being with us.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Yeah, you had a great people should know. Simone had
- 11:45Speaker 1: a great twenty twenty five, very strong ratings, so you
- 11:48Speaker 1: deserve your time off. I hope you have you know,
- 11:52Speaker 1: fun and first thing twenty six.
- 11:56Speaker 2: We'll be back all right, Bill O'Reilly, thanks for being
- 11:59Speaker 2: with us, Take care, Hey, don't forget coming up at
