Transcript
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Teresa Michaels has spent more than three decades in real estate and pioneered the real estate niche now known as crime and stigmatized properties.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Homes connected to the tragedy and circumstances far outside the ordinary.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Her work has taken her beyond the properties themselves into the stories of the people and events connected to them.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: David Zarza is a Seattle-based psychic medium and intuitive life coach, as well as a published author.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: For decades, his work has been rooted in intuition, connection, and insight, helping individuals and families navigate questions, transitions, and circumstances in their lives.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: Teresa and David first met more than a decade ago when David appeared on Teresa's television series, Twisted and Listed.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Their backgrounds couldn't be more different, but what began as an unexpected meeting became a lasting friendship.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Despite their very different perspectives, they share a genuine desire to help the people and families they work with.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Still unanswered, grew from that friendship.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: For each case, David is given only the subject's name, date of birth, and photograph.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Teresa researches the case independently.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: When they come together, David has no knowledge of what Teresa has uncovered.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: Together, they examine what connects, what doesn't, and what may still be waiting to be uncovered.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Still Unanswered explores real unsolved cases through documented research, discussion, and intuitive interpretation.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: David's impressions are personal perceptions and are not presented as fact or evidence.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Nothing discussed should be interpreted as an accusation or determination of guilt.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: This program is presented for informational, educational, and entertainment purposes.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Some stories end, some questions don't.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: This is Still Unanswered.
- 2:05SPEAKER_02: Welcome to Still Unanswered.
- 2:07SPEAKER_02: I'm Teresa Michaels, and I'm here with my co-host and friend, Intuitive Medium, David Zarza.
- 2:13SPEAKER_02: Hello everyone.
- 2:15SPEAKER_02: As always, David knows virtually nothing about the cases that we're going to cover today.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: Before his reading, the only information he's been given is a name, a date of birth, and a photograph.
- 2:25SPEAKER_02: He's done his intuitive read, and I've done the research.
- 2:29SPEAKER_02: And neither of us know where those two things are going to meet.
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: And we don't expect you to believe everything you hear.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: We only ask that you listen with an open mind, consider the facts, and decide for yourself.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: Today's case is Robert Edward Crane.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: Hi, David.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: How are you?
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: Hey, Teresa.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: I'm doing great.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: How are you?
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: I'm good.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: Are you excited and ready to get into our new case today?
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: Always.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Always, but also a little bit nervous.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: I never know what we're gonna see.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: I never know where we're gonna be shown.
- 3:03SPEAKER_02: That's true.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: That's true.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: We've been on a few wild rides in our last couple of cases.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 3:09SPEAKER_02: Now, David, do you want to tell our listeners today?
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: I know sometimes you use a different process when you're connecting.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: Are you using a special process today, or do you want to explain to our listeners how you're approaching this case?
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: So um, yes, actually.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: I think last time was the first time that I tried using a meditation mask, and it's this kind of mask that plays you different frequencies of light, and it's it makes your mind slip into a meditative state.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: I tried that last time, and previous times I just literally closed my eyes, sat back in my recliner, and just saw what the universe was showing me.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: Tonight I'm gonna do the exact same thing.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna lay back, see what the universe is showing me, and then share the information.
- 4:04SPEAKER_02: Sounds great, David.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna have you start again by sharing the the target's full name again.
- 4:14SPEAKER_02: Okay, it's Robert Edward Crane.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: The first thing that stands out is messiness.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: Like I feel messiness.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: Um like messiness in life, as in things felt chaotic or disorganized, loose-endy, but also internally feels like almost like I feel like OCD type thoughts.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: Like repeating obsessive thinking, as well as damaged, like this feeling of being damaged as a person, like not feeling whole or feeling shame, actually.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: I think there's a shame, and this feeling of like having let people down, not just one person, but like a lot of people down, and then the other thing is smoking.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: Like I keep smelling cigarette smoke, and it's weird.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: But the scene that I'm finding myself in, you know how I've shared previously that I try to enter this white room, and that's where the spirits join me, and then when the spirit joins me, they can often color this room or make it into something else.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: Um, so that's happened.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: He's here, feels like he's see seated in a chair, and he's got like a bathrobe on, like, or like a loungy robe.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: It's comfortable, it's soft, it's relaxed.
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: He has this like weird sexual vibe to him, okay?
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: And I hope that doesn't sound weird, but it's like I don't see a birthday on the dossier, but I know you told it to me.
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: It is July 13th, 1928.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: Got it, okay.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: Because I would have suspected this guy is a Scorpio, like a zodiac signed Scorpio, because he has this like he has this like sexual vibe.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: It's like this this wily rye smile, these sneaky little eyes.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: And he's changed the scenery.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: It looks like a it looks like a life, I'm gonna call I'm gonna say like a Las Vegas suite.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: Like one of those hotel suites where there's like a lot of activity around, but when you're in this room, it's like it's quiet, it's calm, it's kind of boring.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: But he moves around in here like it's home.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: But if I step outside, if I like walk outside or go through the wall, I see this two-story, it looks like it's a two-story building.
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: This is like the ground level.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: The weather is warm, it's bright, it's sunny.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: And I keep feeling this place feels like one of those 1970s type uh apartment buildings, uh, like you would find in LA, like you would probably still find in LA right now.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: Like when I used to live there, there was this one.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: It was like a two-story building, apartment building.
- 8:15SPEAKER_01: It was U-shaped, and then the middle was a pool.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: This feels like it's a place like this.
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: Like metal stairs and railings.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: And then I walk in, I walk back in to where he's at, and he's hitting there again, in this chair.
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: He has a drink in his hand.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: It's like he's just looking at me.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: I don't know what to do here other than to ask him, what's up?
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: What's going on?
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: Uh let me see what he says.
- 8:58SPEAKER_01: He says he's pissed, he's mad.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: He says someone took my life.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: Was this a homicide, Teresa?
- 9:10SPEAKER_02: Yes, it was.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: Okay, okay.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna ask, I'm gonna investigate.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna show him I'm gonna ask him if he can show me what happened.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: He gets mad at that.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: He says, I don't know, but he uses more colorful words.
- 9:37SPEAKER_01: He says, How the F should I know I was asleep?
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: And I said, Well, who was with you?
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: Was there anybody with you?
- 9:51SPEAKER_01: He says there was early in the day, but not at the time of falling asleep.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: Actually, he shows me there were a few people.
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: The last one was a woman.
- 10:07SPEAKER_01: He says he noticed something strange about her, that she had been there before.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: Wait a minute.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: Um is it true that he was married at the time of his passing?
- 10:22SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: Okay, got it.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: This is not his wife.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: He showed me that this woman was not his wife.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: He says it's a girl.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: But that's this is a woman, it's not a girl.
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: Like it's not an underage person, is what I'm saying.
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: And it feels like she's being squirmy.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: Because it feels like she came in through the front door.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: Feels like he invited her to the bedroom.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: Nothing happened.
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: But then she stepped outside of this bedroom.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: And it feels like there's a this little patio there.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: And she stepped outside and she was like looking around, and he thought it was weird.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: She came back in.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: They started talking again.
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: I think he wants to sleep with her, but she says no.
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: I keep getting the feeling that she thought he was weird, but hot, like attractive.
- 11:40SPEAKER_02: David, can he give you a name for this woman?
- 11:43SPEAKER_01: Um the moment you said name, I heard Winnie.
- 11:49SPEAKER_01: I heard Winnie.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: Like Winifred.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: Like Winnie.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: And she stepped back out.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: She went out.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: I think this is a sliding glass door.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: Like off of the bedroom.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: And she stepped outside and she's she's acting strange.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: It's like she's it's like she's worried someone's looking, and so she's trying to see to make sure no one's looking.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: And she comes back in and then she leaves.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: It's like nothing happened.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: But he's left with a strange feeling.
- 12:29SPEAKER_02: David, could you approximate how old you think this whinny might be?
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: In this image, he shows me.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: Uh, I want to say probably a mid-30s, no more than late 30s.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: Um, if I were to guess, I would say 37 or 36.
- 12:52SPEAKER_02: Oh, is she pretty?
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she's pretty.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: Like she's really pretty.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: She's brunette.
- 12:58SPEAKER_01: She's wearing this dress that goes down to like her calves.
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: It's it's kind of fitted.
- 13:04SPEAKER_01: It's like well shaped.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: She's got a purse.
- 13:07SPEAKER_01: It's like on the crook of her elbow.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: Do you remember this show called That Girl?
- 13:18SPEAKER_02: It sounds familiar.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: So I think there's I think there's like the character, the main character.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: She has this like dark hair, I think, if I'm remembering correctly.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: She has dark hair and it's like a weird bob with like a wave at the bottom.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: That's what it feels like her hair is.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: And she feels pretty, like not super made up, not like I'm gonna be judgy here.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: Like she's not wearing like hooker makeup, but she's nicely dressed, she's nicely made up, but it's mostly natural.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: But I think there's a ring on her finger, so I think possibly married.
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: Do you sense what her connection to Robert is?
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: I think they've had I think they have not a relationship, but like a physical.
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: I think they had sex before.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: And I think there's something wrong here.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: Because this feels like it should have been the regular time that they would have met again for this like sexual rendezvous.
- 14:31SPEAKER_01: But I don't know where his wife is.
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm trying to find out, I'm trying to ask him.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: He's like, I don't want to tell you that.
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: I don't want to tell you that.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: But I can tell because I feel like in his mind he loves her, he loves his wife.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: But it's like he needs something extra from other women that he's not able to satisfy with his wife.
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: Then it feels like there's a guy who came by after her, like hours after.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: But this feels like a friend.
- 15:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: Because they carry on like friends, like they're laughing, they're talking, joking.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: It feels familiar.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: Feels like this guy helps himself.
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: It doesn't feel like this is a hotel room, it feels like this is an apartment building.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: I want to call it Melrose Placey, but not that nice.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: Um, it's nice, but not like Melrose Place.
- 15:35SPEAKER_02: I was just using the term for like a mental image for our listeners.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 15:45SPEAKER_01: And then it feels like this guy leaves.
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: And then it feels like he goes to sleep.
- 15:53SPEAKER_01: He's excited about the next day.
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: There's something big happening the next day.
- 15:59SPEAKER_01: Because it feels like he goes to sleep smiling, and then he says it's black, and all of a sudden I'm somewhere else.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: And I think what he's showing me means that it's not that he's somewhere else geographically, it's that his spirit is no longer in his body, it is on the other side.
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: I've seen this before.
- 16:27SPEAKER_01: I've seen this before when spirits tell me that they pass away while they're sleeping, and then it's like they drift off in a dreamy state, and then all of a sudden that they're they're on the other side with like loved ones, or they're reviewing their life.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: That's what this feels like.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: It feels like all of a sudden he fell asleep, and in the sleep, it feels like somebody killed him.
- 16:55SPEAKER_02: Okay, so it sounds like he was spending part of his evening with what sounds like a married woman, or a woman certainly that had a ring on her finger in her mid to late 30s.
- 17:07SPEAKER_02: Brunette, pretty, well put together.
- 17:10SPEAKER_02: And then he spent some time with a male friend that you says he seems comfortable with, like they're they're good friends.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: Correct, like really good friends, yeah.
- 17:18SPEAKER_01: And and just just to clarify, the woman came when it was still light out.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: It was not in the evening when it was dark out.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: Because she was able to go outside and look to see if there was somebody looking in um while she was looking out.
- 17:36SPEAKER_02: So you're thinking morning or afternoon?
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: Afternoon.
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: It had to be afternoon.
- 17:43unknown: Okay.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because it didn't have that feeling of mourning.
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: And I don't know if that makes sense, but to me, times of days have a feeling.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: And both of these people have left this room.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 17:56SPEAKER_02: As you kind of describe, like an apartment building.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:59SPEAKER_02: They both have left Bob, and Bob is now, or Robert, I'm sorry, is now alone.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: Uh he was, yeah.
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: This feels like this feels like a two-bedroom apartment.
- 18:08SPEAKER_01: And it feels like one of the bedrooms is bigger, and that's where he is.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:15SPEAKER_02: And he goes to sleep, and the next thing he knows, he's on the other side.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: It's like a big jump, a big break in consciousness.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: But he comes back.
- 18:29SPEAKER_01: Feels like he comes back to this place.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: It feels like when he I think it was a man who found him.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: I would have expected wife, but it feels like a man found him.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: And then it feels like this this man starts noticing this is bad.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: And it feels like he gets authorities involved, like he calls for help.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: I keep feeling like there's this person here.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: I want to call him like the apartment manager.
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: It's like they're shocked.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: They can't believe this.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: It's a guy, it's a male, apartment manager.
- 19:24SPEAKER_01: But he wasn't the one who found him.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: It feels like it's somebody else.
- 19:30SPEAKER_01: And they know this is bad.
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: They know this has been it doesn't feel like a break-in.
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: Cause I don't see anything broken around.
- 19:39SPEAKER_01: It feels like it feels like the setting is just like how a room would look when you got ready for bed.
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: Like it doesn't look like anything, any window's broken, any door is broken.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: Feels cool and breezy though.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: There might be a window that's open.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: And he's he's sad again.
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: He's mad again.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: He says he was there when his when police told his wife.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: I think she was in another home when she got the news.
- 20:22SPEAKER_02: And Robert doesn't give you any indication now that he's on the other side in kind of retrospect about who was responsible for his death.
- 20:31SPEAKER_01: Let me ask him.
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: He says he he's he's tried to figure it out too.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: He says he thinks the woman who was here earlier left a door open.
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: I think that's why he was pointing out her suspicious behavior, her weird behavior.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: Because he thought this was a meeting for sex, but it wasn't.
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: She kept stepping outside and it back inside from the bedroom.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: This guy, Robert, Bob.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: Was he married twice?
- 21:16SPEAKER_02: Yes, he was married twice.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: Do you have more than three children?
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: Because to me it feels like it's possibly two from first and then one from the second.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: And feels like he it feels like he tried to be a good father.
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: And it feels like he kept distance from kids, like as they were growing up, or when they were grown up.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: It's like he wanted to keep distance.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: There's something connected to shame that keeps him.
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: Sorry, let me clarify this.
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: So To me, I believe that every single emotion or emotional state has a purpose.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: Like, for instance, sadness isn't just you know that droopy, literally sad feeling that you get when you're gripped by sorrow, by when you're gripped by sadness.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: To me, sadness' purpose is actually to compel you towards meaningful connection.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: You know, it's to make you feel like an emptiness or a loneliness so deep that only meaningful meaningful connection could satisfy that loneliness.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: And that's the purpose of sadness.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: Shame, shame is an emotion whose purpose is to control you, either to stop you from doing that thing that you're ashamed of, um, or to stop others from knowing what brings you shame.
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: And there's some shame here.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: I don't think it's like same-sex relationship relationships.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: I feel more it's like he might be kind of sexually twisted.
- 23:12SPEAKER_01: Because he has this, he has this like sexual vibe.
- 23:17SPEAKER_01: But not like rapist.
- 23:20SPEAKER_01: He just has like this.
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: Felt like he was I don't know what to call it.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: Uh quickly intimate, emotionally intimate, things like that.
- 23:48SPEAKER_02: Promiscuous?
- 23:49SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, I would say so, but he was married, uh, is what I was feeling.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I would say yes, promiscuous.
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: Because this doesn't feel the way he was treating this woman when she came over, it didn't feel like he was stressed about her being there.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: And to me, it feels like if someone that you are sleeping with comes over to your house, you would feel some level of stress, like when is when is my partner or my my spouse gonna come back?
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: But no, he was at ease.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: I wonder if this is like a bachelor's apartment, you know, like the kind that some um some people have in their marriage, you know, like they have the marriage home, but then there's like an apartment somewhere else where debauchery happens.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: That's what this feels like.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 24:51SPEAKER_02: So he seems comfortable in his surroundings.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 24:55SPEAKER_01: Yes, very comfortable.
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: Like he could, he didn't have to be on guard, he didn't have to be on watch.
- 25:03SPEAKER_01: It almost felt like the neighbors didn't even really care what he was doing.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: That's what it feels like.
- 25:10SPEAKER_02: So it sounds like if he was having some different intimate encounters, he wasn't concerned that someone was gonna come walking through the door, he was gonna be caught.
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: He felt at ease.
- 25:21SPEAKER_02: This this very much felt like a safe, comfortable area for him.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: And yeah, like this is his his space, his place, and there's nothing to worry about here.
- 25:35SPEAKER_02: And he has no idea who has killed him.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: You did ask that.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: Let me check again.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: He says he does know.
- 25:51SPEAKER_01: He says it was a man.
- 25:53SPEAKER_01: It was a strong man.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: But he had never seen him before.
- 26:01SPEAKER_01: He says he doesn't know him, he never knew him.
- 26:06SPEAKER_01: Let me ask the universe.
- 26:08SPEAKER_01: Because this feels it feels shady.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: But I can't let me ask the universe.
- 26:24SPEAKER_01: What is the relationship though?
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: Universe says this was spouse or boyfriend.
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: This was spouse or boyfriend of the woman who was there earlier.
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: He says he effed up.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: He was afraid this would catch up to him.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: And it did.
- 26:51SPEAKER_02: From what I gather, David, it sounds like Robert is in this apartment that he feels very comfortable in.
- 26:58SPEAKER_02: A woman named Winnie has come to visit, and you kind of mentioned a couple times that it seems like she's kind of looking out the window or out the door.
- 27:09SPEAKER_02: Like there's maybe she's aware that someone might know she's there, or she seems a little maybe on guard.
- 27:15SPEAKER_01: I'll tell you, I'll tell you what it felt like to me.
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: It felt like she likely brought somebody there with her.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna create a story based on what I was shown.
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: Feels like she brought a partner with her.
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: Feels like she got found out.
- 27:33SPEAKER_01: Feels like this guy wasn't happy about it.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: And and feels like since you know where he is, I want you to take me where he lives.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: And then it feels like she came, surprised him, because this was not an expected rendezvous.
- 27:57SPEAKER_01: He welcomed her in because he recognized her.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: He thought, oh wow, this is great, perfect timing.
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: I've got time.
- 28:08SPEAKER_01: And she might be she might be in the mood.
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: Turns out no.
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: But they go into the bath, they go into the bedroom, feels like they're talking, feels like she makes an excuse to go outside.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: Feels like it's a it's a a doorway to the outside in this bedroom.
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: And as she's out there, he notices she's looking around as if she's as if she's trying to see if anybody is looking at her.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: She comes back in.
- 28:39SPEAKER_01: They talk some more.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: She goes back out, does the exact same thing, comes back in.
- 28:46SPEAKER_01: He's still trying to entice her.
- 28:49SPEAKER_01: She's she holds firm, she leaves.
- 28:53SPEAKER_01: And then he's like frustrated, unfortunately.
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: But life goes on, and then hours later, friend comes over, and then hours after that, he goes to sleep alone.
- 29:07SPEAKER_02: Do you believe or get the sense that when this woman who we're gonna call Winnie, when she left, you said Robert had made a comment that the door wasn't locked.
- 29:16SPEAKER_02: Do you think that was an intentional act?
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, actually, that that is something that he did show me.
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: He says he thinks the last time she stepped out that she closed this door but left it unlocked.
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: And then it feels like they or the guy that was mad came back, and it feels like he was the one who took his life.
- 29:45SPEAKER_02: Do you think that woman knew that was going to happen?
- 29:48SPEAKER_02: Was she complicit in the setup of this murder?
- 29:53SPEAKER_01: Unfortunately, yes.
- 29:56SPEAKER_02: And do you have a sense of why?
- 29:58SPEAKER_02: Was it duty to the boyfriend or the husband that she was with, or was there something that had happened between her and Robert that made her angry enough to bring someone in to kill him?
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: So this feels like a different time.
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: This feels like um like nowadays, we would have cameras everywhere, you know, we would have those like door sensors that would tell us if a door was open or or it was unlocked or or opened.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: Um, but this is a different time.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: It feels like it feels like he, Robert, just trusts, just trusts a lot.
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: It feels like he feels like this place is safe.
- 30:37SPEAKER_01: This is his.
- 30:38SPEAKER_01: He has nothing to worry about.
- 30:40SPEAKER_01: And so I think she unknowingly set him up to be confronted by this man, possibly husband or spouse or partner, or or boyfriend, to be confronted by him.
- 31:00SPEAKER_01: But I think she thought he was only gonna scare him or maybe rough him up.
- 31:07SPEAKER_01: But I think this guy was of a worse temperament than she expected.
- 31:15SPEAKER_01: And she doesn't know that he's gonna take his life, but he ends up taking it.
- 31:24SPEAKER_02: And do you get the feeling that that was done out of jealousy, that he knew that Robert ends It was not jealousy, it was it was like, How dare you?
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: What would you call that?
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: Retribution?
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: Retribution or payback, maybe yeah, but this like when I when I ask the universe, when I ask Ken, when I when I just feel for myself, this feels like it was not intended to be a killing, but it ended up that way.
- 32:05SPEAKER_02: Okay, but David, you said Robert was in bed asleep when this happened.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 32:13SPEAKER_02: So this gentleman comes in through the unlocked door, that's right.
- 32:21SPEAKER_02: Through the unlocked door, and then murders him in his sleep.
- 32:25SPEAKER_02: They had no interaction.
- 32:26SPEAKER_02: At no point did Robert wake up and they talk, nothing.
- 32:29SPEAKER_01: He's just from what I could tell, he was slightly he was about to wake up, and then it feels like that's when this guy took advantage and just snuffed out his life.
- 32:44SPEAKER_01: And I think I think she he like punched him, and then it feels like he feels like he chokes him or like suffocates him.
- 32:58SPEAKER_02: Do you get the sense, David, if he takes anything while he's there?
- 33:02SPEAKER_02: Is there is there a robbery?
- 33:04SPEAKER_02: Is there anything beyond the the killing of Robert?
- 33:07SPEAKER_01: That's the thing.
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: It didn't feel like it didn't feel like this was a robbery.
- 33:13SPEAKER_01: It doesn't even feel like this was being tried to be faked as a robbery.
- 33:18SPEAKER_01: It feels like there was no other intention going into this other than confronting and possibly like beating up.
- 33:29SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: But uh so so to answer your question, I'm not sure if anything was taken.
- 33:35SPEAKER_01: I can't tell.
- 33:37SPEAKER_02: And Robert is not able to give you the name of this man because it sounds like he doesn't know him.
- 33:42SPEAKER_02: They didn't have an interaction.
- 33:44SPEAKER_01: He doesn't know him, he never met him before.
- 33:50SPEAKER_02: Okay, now, David, I know when we have talked in the past, because we've been friends for a long time, so I'm I get a little bit of insight into your process.
- 33:57SPEAKER_02: You mentioned once that things, in addition to people, have a vibration.
- 34:02SPEAKER_02: Is that that correct?
- 34:04SPEAKER_02: Does that feel like a correct statement?
- 34:06SPEAKER_01: That is correct.
- 34:08SPEAKER_02: And you've also, I've heard you mention on on some of our other podcasts that we've worked on together, that the universe has the answers.
- 34:17SPEAKER_02: Sometimes you're not able to get it from the actual target or the the victim in the situation, but that the universe holds the clues or the answers.
- 34:25SPEAKER_02: So what I'm gonna do now, before I give you my input into the factual components of this case, is I'm going to give you an address, David, and see if you pick up a vibration from that address that might potentially give you more information.
- 34:44SPEAKER_01: Okay, go for it.
- 34:46SPEAKER_02: The address is 7430 East Chaperal Road, apartment number 132A, and that's Scottsdale, Arizona.
- 35:01SPEAKER_01: Let me see.
- 35:03SPEAKER_01: Universe, show me this target.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 35:07SPEAKER_02: And just to remind our listeners, if you've not caught other cases, when David says the word target, it's actually how he identifies the subject, so it's not meant to be in a in a fit.
- 35:22SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 35:22SPEAKER_02: Thank you, David.
- 35:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and um, just so people know, uh, if they want to try this themselves, the technique that I use is called remote viewing.
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: Uh, you can probably find like a ton of YouTube videos on techniques for how to do it.
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: Practice, practice, practice, and you'll be able to do it, guaranteed.
- 35:45SPEAKER_01: Because everyone likely already does it accidentally, unintentionally.
- 35:50SPEAKER_01: Um, so when I go to this target, this feels like the same place that Robert took me to.
- 36:02SPEAKER_01: This is his place.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: It feels like this is his place.
- 36:06SPEAKER_01: Is this where he also passed away?
- 36:10SPEAKER_02: Yes, David, it is.
- 36:12SPEAKER_01: Got it.
- 36:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this is his place.
- 36:14SPEAKER_01: This is where he was showing me he was and where all this happened.
- 36:19SPEAKER_01: And I can describe it more if you want.
- 36:22SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 36:28SPEAKER_01: I guess this is what the universe is showing me.
- 36:30SPEAKER_01: I don't know if this is now or then, but I keep seeing desert last desert landscaping.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: You know, like stone gravel instead of grass.
- 36:42SPEAKER_01: Um, there are spots of green, but those feel like they're desert plants, not like water needy plants.
- 36:52SPEAKER_01: It feels like there are trees around, but they're like they're not palm trees, they're not like oak trees.
- 37:04SPEAKER_01: I don't know what kind of trees these are, but there's trees around here.
- 37:08SPEAKER_01: It feels like it feels like this place has seen a lot of activity, like like a lot of parties or like festivities.
- 37:24SPEAKER_01: Um I feel like it's away from freeways.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: It feels like a tucked away type of sanctuary type place.
- 37:34SPEAKER_01: That's what this feels like.
- 37:36SPEAKER_01: Almost resort-like.
- 37:38SPEAKER_01: So I think this might have this might be like what what it was like back then, not now.
- 37:47SPEAKER_01: But I don't know.
- 37:50SPEAKER_01: Because I see colors like tan, adobe, brown, I see like clay shingles for roofing, things like that.
- 38:01SPEAKER_01: That's what this feels like.
- 38:04SPEAKER_01: And it feels old.
- 38:06SPEAKER_01: Feels like possibly 1960s or 1950s construction.
- 38:12SPEAKER_02: Does anything about that address, David, connect with the gentleman who is allegedly believed to have been the one to kill Robert?
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: Only that it feels like this is where it happened, but no other connection.
- 38:27SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 38:29SPEAKER_02: Well, David, would you like a little bit of the backstory to this case?
- 38:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I would, because this is this is kind of exciting.
- 38:35SPEAKER_01: It feels it feels kind of thrilling.
- 38:38SPEAKER_01: And the thing that so I haven't had in other cases have such a heavy, I don't know how to describe it, the sexual vibe.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: It was just intense.
- 38:51SPEAKER_01: So I just want to emphasize that, but go ahead.
- 38:53SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 38:54SPEAKER_02: Well, David, and to our listeners, David and I always work with a great amount of integrity in the families that we try to work with.
- 39:02SPEAKER_02: And as David knows nothing about the cases that we bring to him, I'm very careful not to inadvertently give information, which is why he only gets the photo, the birth date, uh, and the name.
- 39:14SPEAKER_02: Now, David, this gentleman who I've been calling Robert, and as I've presented him to you as Robert, um, he actually goes by Bob Crane.
- 39:24SPEAKER_02: And the reason that I did not give that up is I didn't want to give any possibilities that you would be able to make a connection to Bob Crane outside of our conversation right now.
- 39:35SPEAKER_02: But I will tell you that Bob Crane was an actor, a radio personality, and a drummer.
- 39:41SPEAKER_02: He was best known to millions and millions of people as playing Colonel Robert Hogan on Hogan's Heroes.
- 39:48SPEAKER_01: Okay, I have no idea who that is.
- 39:50SPEAKER_02: Okay, that's okay.
- 39:51SPEAKER_02: In June of 1978, he was not living permanently in Scottsdale, but he was there performing in the comedy Beginner's Luck at the Windmill Dinner Theater and was staying in apartment 132A in Winifred Place.
- 40:06SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 40:08SPEAKER_01: That's why this felt like his bachelor pad.
- 40:11SPEAKER_02: It was, in fact.
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: This was not his home.
- 40:14SPEAKER_02: That's correct.
- 40:15SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 40:15SPEAKER_02: Um on June 29th, 1978, Bob was found murdered in that apartment.
- 40:20SPEAKER_02: He had suffered devastating blunt floors injuries to his head, and an electrical cord had been tied around his neck.
- 40:27SPEAKER_02: But the autopsy concluded that the fatal injuries were the blows to the head, and the murder weapon was never conclusively identified or recovered.
- 40:36SPEAKER_02: Now there was no obvious forced entry, and the case did not look like an ordinary robbery.
- 40:42SPEAKER_02: That immediately raised one of the questions that has followed this case for decades.
- 40:46SPEAKER_02: Did Bob know the person who came into that apartment?
- 40:50SPEAKER_02: What I will tell you is that evening, Bob performed at Beginner's Luck, and his longtime friend John Henry Carpenter was in Scottsdale with him and spends part of the night with Bob.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: Later that was his name again?
- 41:04SPEAKER_02: John Henry Carpenter.
- 41:06SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 41:08SPEAKER_01: Um, like when you say his name, I feel love between them.
- 41:11SPEAKER_01: I feel a closeness.
- 41:12SPEAKER_01: I feel like a trust.
- 41:14SPEAKER_01: I do not feel like he would he is connected to this, like his passing.
- 41:20SPEAKER_02: They were David known to be very close, very good friends.
- 41:23SPEAKER_02: Um, some said even potentially as close as brothers.
- 41:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I get that.
- 41:28SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 41:29SPEAKER_02: So late night, early morning, Crane and his friend Carpenter socialize with some women, including Carol Newell and Carolyn Baer.
- 41:36SPEAKER_02: The group is together at the Safari restaurant, and around 2 a.m.
- 41:41SPEAKER_02: they decide that they're gonna separate.
- 41:43SPEAKER_02: Bear declines Crane's invitation to return to his apartment and makes plans to see him the next day.
- 41:49SPEAKER_02: Carol Newell goes with Carpenter to his room at the sunburst, and in her later account, Carpenter made sexual advances.
- 41:58SPEAKER_02: She said she wanted to leave and he drove her home at about 3 a.m.
- 42:02SPEAKER_02: Now, afterward, Carpenter said he returned to the sunrise and telephoned Crane.
- 42:07SPEAKER_02: He said the men talked briefly, then he told Crane he would arrange his own transportation to the airport.
- 42:14SPEAKER_02: Basically, it was just an open conversation.
- 42:17SPEAKER_02: They were just touching basis on things.
- 42:19SPEAKER_02: At 8:24 a.m., reports that Carpenter checked out of a Sunburst hotel and returned his rental car at the Avis counter.
- 42:27SPEAKER_02: And then he traveled to the airport and flew back to Los Angeles.
- 42:30SPEAKER_02: Now, that afternoon, Bob had failed to appear as expected.
- 42:34SPEAKER_02: His co-star, Victoria Ann Barry, went to apartment 132A at about 2 p.m.
- 42:40SPEAKER_02: that afternoon and entered through the unlocked door and discovered his body.
- 42:46SPEAKER_02: A few other things, David, that you had hit on that you had um made mention to.
- 42:50SPEAKER_02: You'd asked if he had been married twice.
- 42:53SPEAKER_02: He was currently married at the time and had one son by his second wife, divorced from the first wife where he had three other children.
- 43:02SPEAKER_02: Got it.
- 43:03SPEAKER_02: You mentioned that the apartment that he was staying in, the bachelor pad, felt like it was from the 70s.
- 43:10SPEAKER_02: It had the kind of a 1970s vibe.
- 43:12SPEAKER_02: It was, in fact, built in 1975.
- 43:14SPEAKER_02: Got it.
- 43:15SPEAKER_02: You also mentioned that he was in the bottom unit of that building, and that is in fact correct.
- 43:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 43:23SPEAKER_02: You also said that the woman who had left had left that door unlocked.
- 43:26SPEAKER_02: And when Victoria Ann Barry went back the next day when Bob didn't show up uh to his uh appointment, that door was again unlocked.
- 43:38SPEAKER_02: Now, you also mentioned something in regards to Bob's maybe more promiscuous sexual side.
- 43:48SPEAKER_02: And part of the investigation into Bob's death uncovered a very private side of Bob Crane's life.
- 43:54SPEAKER_02: He was known to photograph and videotape sexual encounters with women.
- 43:58SPEAKER_02: Sometimes with his Friend John Carpenter present.
- 44:02SPEAKER_02: Now, those recordings became relevant because they dramatically widened the circle of people who may have, in fact, had a reason to be angry, you know, embarrassed or jealous or frightened of that exposure and what those tapes could do.
- 44:16SPEAKER_02: There were certain public accounts that conflicted about whether or not the women knew they were being recorded.
- 44:22SPEAKER_02: It sounds like some may have known and given their consent, and others may not have known.
- 44:28SPEAKER_01: Can I ask you a question?
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: Sure.
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: Were there like hundreds of these videos?
- 44:36SPEAKER_01: Because to me, it feels like this may be the thing he was ashamed of, or the thing that brought shame to his family if they knew about it.
- 44:46SPEAKER_01: And so it was like the thing that he would hide, but the hiding would make things would make like relationships strained.
- 44:53SPEAKER_01: So this doesn't feel like it was just a dozen or like a handful.
- 44:57SPEAKER_01: This likely was like hundreds of videos.
- 45:00SPEAKER_01: So I'm wondering.
- 45:02SPEAKER_02: Well, the Scottsdale Police Department confiscated multiple videotapes from Bob's apartment, and reports described literally hundreds of women appearing in his nude photographs and videos over the years.
- 45:14SPEAKER_01: Got it.
- 45:15SPEAKER_02: It sounds like his son Scotty later describes Bob's larger private archive in Los Angeles as containing thousands of hours of tape, but that does not next necessarily mean that all thousands of those hours were sexual in nature.
- 45:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 45:31SPEAKER_02: So certainly, you know, again, you've picked up on that.
- 45:36SPEAKER_02: Another thing, David, is we talk about this winny connection.
- 45:42SPEAKER_02: One alternative line had been raised around this case involving jealous partners of women in Crane's social circle.
- 45:50SPEAKER_02: And a particularly aggressive incident had been reported involving an unidentified former boyfriend of a woman associated with Crane, who allegedly defaced or mutilated an image of Crane and left it posted for that woman to see.
- 46:05SPEAKER_02: The identities and exact police handling of that incident has not been confirmed.
- 46:10SPEAKER_02: There has been no names associated with that.
- 46:13SPEAKER_02: But it sounds like the woman may have reported that, hey, my boyfriend, you know, I came home.
- 46:19SPEAKER_02: My boyfriend had this picture of Bob and had mutilated it and posted it for me to see.
- 46:25SPEAKER_02: So certainly it had gone as far as going to the police department, but no official names have ever been released around that.
- 46:33SPEAKER_02: The unfortunate thing is it plays to John Carpenter's.
- 46:37SPEAKER_02: John had been a really good friend of Bob.
- 46:39SPEAKER_02: He had been a videographer, they had, you know, shared the same interest in many things and socialized together.
- 46:45SPEAKER_02: They also um recorded sexual encounters with women together.
- 46:50SPEAKER_02: And Carpenter was one of the last known people in Bob's orbit during the night before he was murdered.
- 46:55SPEAKER_01: Now did they ever accuse him?
- 46:58SPEAKER_01: Because it would make sense if they would, but I would say, from what I'm feeling, he was not connected to his passing.
- 47:05SPEAKER_02: Well, it's really interesting that you say that, David, because Carpenter was staying just down the road, just within a few minutes of where Bob's place was.
- 47:13SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 47:14SPEAKER_02: And John Carpenter had been the focus of an investigation initially because they had spent, you know, the late hours, and Carpenter said he had been on the phone talking to Bob at around three o'clock in the morning.
- 47:29SPEAKER_02: Bob was later found that that afternoon.
- 47:32SPEAKER_02: Now he was supposed to be somewhere around noon.
- 47:34SPEAKER_02: I believe it was an award ceremony or a luncheon of some sort, and he didn't show up to that.
- 47:39SPEAKER_02: And that made his co-host Victoria kind of concerned.
- 47:42SPEAKER_02: That's actually what led her to go to Bob's place and ultimately find him.
- 47:46SPEAKER_02: But there had been some rumors that maybe Bob was trying to distance himself from John Carpenter.
- 47:52SPEAKER_02: It seemed like wherever Bob was going, John was there.
- 47:56SPEAKER_02: And some people had said they had seen them talking.
- 47:59SPEAKER_02: It appeared maybe they were having an argument.
- 48:01SPEAKER_02: Maybe Bob was trying to pull back from that friendship.
- 48:05SPEAKER_02: But ultimately, there was never any proof to those thoughts or ideas.
- 48:10SPEAKER_02: Now, ultimately, again, this death or this crime happened in 1978.
- 48:16SPEAKER_02: But the case was later reopened in 1990, and investigators re-examined old evidence and photographs and argued that a photograph from Carpenter's rental car appeared to show tissue near the blood evidence.
- 48:29SPEAKER_02: The physical sample needed for definitive testing was not available.
- 48:32SPEAKER_02: And Carpenter was charged in 1992 and tried in 1994.
- 48:37SPEAKER_01: Oh wow, that must have sucked.
- 48:39SPEAKER_02: Well, of course.
- 48:40SPEAKER_02: And then poor Mr.
- 48:41SPEAKER_02: Carpenter, he was acquitted by a jury on October 31st of 1994.
- 48:46SPEAKER_02: The evidence did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he had killed Bob Crane, and he maintained his innocence the entire time.
- 48:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't I don't feel like jealousy or envy or anything like that.
- 49:00SPEAKER_01: I actually kind of feel that he like he may have benefited from the relationship with Robert.
- 49:08SPEAKER_02: Just being in the social circle of someone who was a very well-known actor at the time.
- 49:13SPEAKER_01: Correct.
- 49:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and again, with the discussion you and I just talked about, the prosecutors had later argued that Bob wanted distance from Carpenter and that Carpenter feared losing that friendship and the social access that came with it.
- 49:27SPEAKER_02: Now, Bob's son testified that his father had complained about Carpenter, but witnesses also described Bob and Carpenter as having a really normal, you know, parts of their friendship, a normal evening, that final night together.
- 49:39SPEAKER_02: There didn't seem to be anything that stood out to most people.
- 49:43SPEAKER_02: Or John maintained his innocence up until his death in 1998.
- 49:48SPEAKER_02: Then the case basically has gone cold because there's been no other leading motives and no other people who had been investigated.
- 49:58SPEAKER_01: Got it.
- 49:59SPEAKER_02: So it really sounds like our connection comes back to Winnie and her presumed boyfriend, fiancé husband connection.
- 50:07SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 50:09SPEAKER_02: And you don't get the feeling that, well, Bob is unable to provide that information because he never interacted with this gentleman.
- 50:19SPEAKER_02: I'm going to make an assumption that these people are probably deceased.
- 50:25SPEAKER_02: Bob was born in 1928.
- 50:27SPEAKER_02: So I'm sure his circle of friends, even if they were younger than he was, say in their 50s, well, I suppose they could still be alive.
- 50:35SPEAKER_02: Do you get the feeling that the person who killed Bob is still alive?
- 50:41SPEAKER_01: The answer I got from the universe is no.
- 50:44SPEAKER_01: Not still alive.
- 50:48SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 50:50SPEAKER_02: Bob Crane's murder has lived for decades in the shadows of the secrets investigators uncovered after his death.
- 50:56SPEAKER_02: But whatever people think about the private choices he made, those choices do not answer the most basic question.
- 51:02SPEAKER_02: Who walked into the Scottsdale apartment and took his life?
- 51:05SPEAKER_02: John Carpenter became the central suspect, was eventually put on trial, and was acquitted.
- 51:10SPEAKER_02: Other names and theories have surfaced, but none has produced a conviction.
- 51:14SPEAKER_02: Nearly half a century later, Bob Craig's family is still left with the same absence at the center of this case.
- 51:20SPEAKER_02: No proven killer, no final explanation, and no certainty about what happened in those early morning hours.
- 51:27SPEAKER_02: Maybe the answer is buried in evidence that was overlooked.
- 51:30SPEAKER_02: Maybe it lives in a relationship investigators never fully understood.
- 51:33SPEAKER_02: Or maybe someone who knew the truth carried it with them for the rest of their life.
- 51:37SPEAKER_02: Until there is proof, Bob Crane's murder remains exactly what this show is about.
- 51:42SPEAKER_02: Still unanswered.
