- 1:46Speaker 4: here on the Woody Show. Today is a universal Father's Week,
- 1:49Speaker 4: the beginning of universal just a friend, the reminder that Sunday,
- 1:52Speaker 4: this coming Sunday is Father's Day.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Yeah it's a week. And yeah that's this week. That'll
- 1:57Speaker 2: be universal.
- 1:58Speaker 4: No, no, you have to start talking about it this
- 2:00Speaker 4: early to remind people that it's even happening.
- 2:03Speaker 2: You never know.
- 2:04Speaker 4: You don't need that for Mother's Day. You need that
- 2:06Speaker 4: for Father's Day.
- 2:07Speaker 5: That's what they say.
- 2:08Speaker 4: I need it from Mother's Day too. I never remember
- 2:09Speaker 4: when that is. You don't remember Mother's Day May something,
- 2:12Speaker 4: but you know it's in May, that's all I know.
- 2:14Speaker 4: But you never even think Father's Day, not once. You
- 2:17Speaker 4: don't see the commercials like you see maybe if you
- 2:19Speaker 4: go to home depot, if you go to home depot
- 2:21Speaker 4: or loads, you'll see something.
- 2:24Speaker 2: But what does universal fathers even mean?
- 2:27Speaker 4: I think, just like in other words like worldwide, we're
- 2:30Speaker 4: just going to acknowledge fathers. Just put just put it
- 2:32Speaker 4: out there.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Thanks for all the worldwide fathers. Not universal? All right?
- 2:37Speaker 4: Well, people were asked this question. They were asked to
- 2:40Speaker 4: rate their attractive this level on a scale of one
- 2:42Speaker 4: to ten. Now on a day that Morgan's not here.
- 2:46Speaker 4: She loves rating things on a scale of one to ten,
- 2:48Speaker 4: so one being fugly. Some people admitted that it really
- 2:53Speaker 4: depends on how much effort they put in, so I
- 2:55Speaker 4: would I'd assume that's more true for the ladies when
- 2:58Speaker 4: it comes to like all the white I think guys
- 3:01Speaker 4: are pretty simple that way. There's not much you can
- 3:03Speaker 4: really do, you know.
- 3:05Speaker 6: And I want to remind people these are not because
- 3:07Speaker 6: people they don't understand percentages at all. When you look
- 3:11Speaker 6: at a bell curve, that's that's what these numbers are
- 3:13Speaker 6: made at are based off of. So that that top
- 3:15Speaker 6: the ninth to tens or the ones to zeros, that's
- 3:18Speaker 6: point one percent. Eights and above is two point one percent,
- 3:23Speaker 6: and twos and below you know, vice versa. So you
- 3:26Speaker 6: know it's it's a tiny, tiny fraction of people. Oh
- 3:28Speaker 6: I'm an eight, I'm a seven.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Oh you're not. You're not hotter than ninety percent of
- 3:32Speaker 2: other people.
- 3:35Speaker 6: No, yes, this is this is averaging, like you had
- 3:39Speaker 6: a thousand people judge you.
- 3:40Speaker 2: This is that app Yeah, because they have like computers
- 3:42Speaker 2: that will break down your actual hot right, But I'm.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Saying if you had if you just had to grade
- 3:46Speaker 4: yourself like, I'm just in general, like without getting too
- 3:49Speaker 4: like people on the planet. Man, I'm sure there are
- 3:53Speaker 4: certain times I've been in certain cities or certain places
- 3:55Speaker 4: where I go.
- 3:56Speaker 2: You know what I've averaged up here? I mean, and
- 3:59Speaker 2: there's plenty of.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Other places where dude, Wow, everybody's hot.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I average way down. You know, it depends, it's regional hot.
- 4:06Speaker 2: It just it just it just depends.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Now, But if you're being honest, all right, Like, what
- 4:10Speaker 4: would you say on a scale of one to ten? Greg,
- 4:13Speaker 4: you're known as probably the one of the prettiest people
- 4:15Speaker 4: rate yourself? Yeah, all the time. We're gonna hit with
- 4:19Speaker 4: people on social media and art text Greg. Yeah, everybody
- 4:22Speaker 4: loves Greg. Oh he's so handsome.
- 4:24Speaker 2: So, but is it being great on a curve around us?
- 4:27Speaker 2: Forget the curve for a second, let's just keep it
- 4:30Speaker 2: real basic. You're asked on a scale.
- 4:31Speaker 4: One to ten to rate yourself how attractive are you,
- 4:35Speaker 4: like based on hair and all?
- 4:38Speaker 2: Like six?
- 4:40Speaker 4: You really believe a six?
- 4:41Speaker 2: Six?
- 4:41Speaker 7: Five?
- 4:42Speaker 2: Now?
- 4:42Speaker 6: Would you also give me like a age graded one,
- 4:45Speaker 6: like if you said for your age.
- 4:46Speaker 8: For my age, because I'm pretty old, So for okay,
- 4:51Speaker 8: I recently five I'm fifty five, Yes, so a four
- 4:55Speaker 8: fifty five year old, I'll give myself an eighth.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Then sure, my age, I'm with Greg probably six. You
- 5:05Speaker 2: think you're six? Yeah, for sure.
- 5:07Speaker 4: I'm saying high three, high three, maybe a four. It's
- 5:11Speaker 4: it's somewhere.
- 5:12Speaker 2: I think that's fair. I forget what Morgan said, but
- 5:14Speaker 2: I think she gives herself a.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Four, and she herself a four. Yeah, yes, smart, definitely,
- 5:18Speaker 4: oh yeah, four and then high three four now depending
- 5:23Speaker 4: on certain certain places again, and maybe maybe as high
- 5:26Speaker 4: as like a five point five, you know, but you know,
- 5:30Speaker 4: nothing more range.
- 5:31Speaker 2: And I'm saying six as being generous.
- 5:33Speaker 6: Right, yeah, you know, a little little rock eight l
- 5:36Speaker 6: A three on a.
- 5:40Speaker 5: Day to day basis probably a five, But if I'm
- 5:43Speaker 5: really putting work into it, I could probably bump that
- 5:46Speaker 5: up to a seven.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Okay, you know I can't.
- 5:48Speaker 9: Say I'd say about a six.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Do they have a ten point five? I mean hall
- 5:56Speaker 2: Mark seventeen.
- 5:58Speaker 10: My dad tells me as far as my graduat in Glasgow?
- 6:03Speaker 4: Yeah right, uh Sea Bass, what would you put yourself?
- 6:05Speaker 2: Well, Sammy, is you recall rated me a six? She
- 6:08Speaker 2: first started here?
- 6:09Speaker 4: And well, the fact that you have remembered that, because
- 6:13Speaker 4: how long have you worked here?
- 6:14Speaker 11: Sammy's spend almost four years?
- 6:17Speaker 4: Two plus years? Yeah, uh yeah, it's when the queen
- 6:22Speaker 4: left she came in.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Yeah, wow, that's been It's been too long.
- 6:26Speaker 6: Because remember that that girl was sad that someone raded
- 6:28Speaker 6: her a six and I felt her pain.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I would say, you know, if overall it's probably not wrong,
- 6:35Speaker 2: probably up until the sevens into the sevens.
- 6:38Speaker 7: Oh.
- 6:38Speaker 6: I Also I often get like like Greg's saying, I
- 6:40Speaker 6: often get told that I'm much younger, look much younger,
- 6:45Speaker 6: just because I think, no, no kids.
- 6:48Speaker 4: I was talking to Mike the shower and I defended
- 6:51Speaker 4: you well.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Plus and people who I know personally say that I
- 6:54Speaker 6: for whatever reason that could be the lighting, the angles,
- 6:57Speaker 6: the cameras and this and the studio cameras make me
- 6:58Speaker 6: look god awful.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Nothing changed, Like the lighting hasn't changed, nothing else has changed.
- 7:02Speaker 4: We've had the same cameras now for a long time.
- 7:04Speaker 6: The cameras started back when restarted, when Vaughn got here,
- 7:07Speaker 6: and like.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Like the Vond's been here for a while now, weird,
- 7:10Speaker 4: But look.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Look at my cameras.
- 7:11Speaker 6: Thelan one that shoots up at me, everyone down, down, No, my, mine's.
- 7:15Speaker 5: Up, minds up, mine's down?
- 7:17Speaker 2: Down? Yeah down? Yeah.
- 7:19Speaker 4: So anyway, so Mike, the joke was like, man, Sea
- 7:21Speaker 4: Bass got fat.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I go to be fair.
- 7:24Speaker 4: He like, he doesn't look very very different to me, right,
- 7:27Speaker 4: Like he looks the same I think he ever has
- 7:30Speaker 4: like maybe I don't know, maybe five pounds, but like
- 7:32Speaker 4: not like we say, get not like Sammy.
- 7:34Speaker 6: I know, yeah she's fat.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Sam is different all right. So here's when they when
- 7:39Speaker 4: they ask people the question, forty seven percent of people
- 7:43Speaker 4: said that there are a six or a seven.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Which is just statistically impossible.
- 7:48Speaker 4: That's followed by the fours and the fives. Thirty percent
- 7:50Speaker 4: said four or five, eight percent said there are two
- 7:53Speaker 4: or three, eight percent eight or nine. Three percent of
- 7:56Speaker 4: people said that there are one just down like ideo right,
- 8:00Speaker 4: quite frankly. And then two percent of people said that
- 8:02Speaker 4: they're a ten.
- 8:03Speaker 2: I got it. How many people think to two percent
- 8:06Speaker 2: said there ten and again you are. The real number
- 8:09Speaker 2: is less than a percent.
- 8:10Speaker 4: It's like some of the people on the lower side
- 8:13Speaker 4: of the scale said that their partner sees them as
- 8:15Speaker 4: a ten, so what they think about themselves doesn't matter.
- 8:18Speaker 2: As much to them.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, but those are the people who will lie
- 8:22Speaker 4: to you, and I don't want to be lied to
- 8:25Speaker 4: you to.
- 8:26Speaker 6: Let me say that it's less than a tenth of
- 8:29Speaker 6: one percent are actual real tens.
- 8:31Speaker 4: But like, what's to say it's a ten, like you know,
- 8:32Speaker 4: because that's that that seems to be so arbitrary.
- 8:34Speaker 2: That's not I got it again.
- 8:35Speaker 6: If you add, if you ask, let's say a million
- 8:37Speaker 6: people or a thousand people, that's that's how you rate it.
- 8:40Speaker 6: You don't just say arbitrary. You say, we're going to
- 8:42Speaker 6: show this person. We're going to show you know, El McPherson.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Oh right, I know, I know what you're saying. Yeah,
- 8:48Speaker 2: this is a normal the normal distribution.
- 8:50Speaker 8: And they do have some science behind it where it
- 8:53Speaker 8: comes to the symmetrical. Yeah, like the perfect nose, the
- 8:57Speaker 8: perfect space between the eyes, et cetera.
- 8:59Speaker 2: The only way to get around that is just you know,
- 9:02Speaker 2: being rich, famous enhances. Yeah.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Yeah, for the birthday, this ship weren't bet.
- 9:15Speaker 2: And you know we don't.
- 9:18Speaker 4: All right, Courtney Cox. First of all, Cox, it's her

- 9:27Speaker 4: has held, any role, any role?
- 9:30Speaker 8: Okay, Monica Gail Weathers from scream Uh in Stream two
- 9:35Speaker 8: and three.
- 9:36Speaker 2: It's not all five and whatever.
- 9:37Speaker 4: I'm just trying to give you an excuse to mention friends.
- 9:40Speaker 4: And it's his favorite show of all time. She was

- 10:47Speaker 2: Yeah, she looks like super young and cute, like a
- 10:48Speaker 2: little teenager. Let's see. Oh she really was. Yeah.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Oh I've always sad that she looks like Skeletor.
- 10:54Speaker 2: I thought you were like falling up on the joke. Okay, no, no,
- 10:56Speaker 2: I'm not making some menace, you know, Sarah, just the

- 13:01Speaker 5: Does she sound familiar? She definitely sounds more familiar to
- 13:05Speaker 5: me today than she did a week ago. That's Jalen
- 13:08Speaker 5: Brunson's wife. And I was so fascinated with her because
- 13:12Speaker 5: I saw her and I was like, oh, she doesn't
- 13:13Speaker 5: look like a wag that I was, you know, assuming
- 13:16Speaker 5: he'd be with, because you know, all they all kind
- 13:18Speaker 5: of look the same. They're all like rebuilt and filled
- 13:21Speaker 5: and the whole vibe. She's no, no, no, she's a doctor.
- 13:24Speaker 5: They were high school sweet sweethearts. She's a physical therapist.
- 13:28Speaker 5: And it just was not what I was expecting from like,
- 13:32Speaker 5: you know, New York sweetheart you always think of like
- 13:35Speaker 5: no shade, but like a Vanessa Bryant type, you know,
- 13:38Speaker 5: super hot, like looking like a Kardashian. No, just a doctor.
- 13:42Speaker 4: They fell in love and kind of reminds me of
- 13:46Speaker 4: the chick sings Make my Way Downtown, walk in fast.
- 13:52Speaker 5: She does like he married a Jewish doctor. It's I
- 13:55Speaker 5: just I think it's adorable.
- 13:57Speaker 9: She's still very pretty.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Yeah, very much. She's a dog, a dog, That's what
- 14:04Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 14:06Speaker 4: That's what you're saying is a lot of times when
- 14:08Speaker 4: you see these professional athletes girlfriends, they all look like
- 14:12Speaker 4: they're like those over the top Instagram.
- 14:15Speaker 6: That overfilled, like like over the top, right.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Yeah, and she's just like this kind of like.
- 14:22Speaker 2: A normal girl next door kind of like the tone
- 14:25Speaker 2: was like, Okay, she might be a dog.
- 14:27Speaker 5: No, No, she's very pretty.
- 14:28Speaker 2: I haven't pick at all.
- 14:29Speaker 5: No, but but you know, shout out to them for like,
- 14:31Speaker 5: you know, being like normal jeers. This crazy whack ass bitch.
- 14:39Speaker 5: Taylor Parker, Oh my god, Taylor park Dude, you're gonna
- 14:44Speaker 5: don't google it, it'll give it away. But she's the subject
- 14:47Speaker 5: of this Netflix stock I watched over the weekend, this
- 14:49Speaker 5: this documentary called Maternal Instinct. Yeah, I watched the whole thing.
- 14:55Speaker 5: I know, I can't tell you most of what happens.
- 14:57Speaker 5: I don't want to give you away the story, but
- 14:58Speaker 5: basically the doc opens these cops running up to this
- 15:01Speaker 5: chicks car who's screaming, I just had a baby. I
- 15:04Speaker 5: just had a baby. Somebody get me to the hospital.
- 15:07Speaker 5: They get her to the hospital, they're talking to her,
- 15:09Speaker 5: they're trying to figure everything out, and a minute later,
- 15:12Speaker 5: the nurses rush out of the room and tell the
- 15:14Speaker 5: cops who escorted her, do not let her leave the hospital.
- 15:17Speaker 5: She did not have this baby. And then everything unravels
- 15:20Speaker 5: from there, her everyone from her past, her life. She's
- 15:24Speaker 5: such a liar, She's a scammer, the whole thing. And
- 15:26Speaker 5: that's all I'm going to tell you. But I hope
- 15:30Speaker 5: people like this just burn an eternal afterlife. And I
- 15:33Speaker 5: know I'm not alone on that one. So major jeers
- 15:36Speaker 5: the Taylor Parker man.
- 15:37Speaker 4: She this is you know the people that they can
- 15:39Speaker 4: only watch you know, Yeah, the people can only watch
- 15:44Speaker 4: ESPN or anything sports for that. They're one dimensional. Yeah
- 15:47Speaker 4: that's me, Like I'm telling you, like her, You're viewing
- 15:52Speaker 4: of content is pretty one dimensional.
- 15:54Speaker 2: It is.
- 15:54Speaker 4: It's all true crime stuff.
- 15:57Speaker 5: It's my thing.
- 15:58Speaker 2: I'm really into it. This thing that she's talk about
- 16:00Speaker 2: is the number one thing on Netflix.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Any waking moment she has.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I started watching it and I kind of got
- 16:11Speaker 2: what like what he has been saying like this whole
- 16:13Speaker 2: time where if you look at Netflix, what she's talking
- 16:18Speaker 2: about is all like super popular, like top trending things,
- 16:21Speaker 2: and they're like, wait a minute, this is real.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Life and it's being right and it's entertainment. Yeah, people
- 16:26Speaker 4: are looking at as like Hollywood almost, it's not.
- 16:30Speaker 5: I don't I don't consider I.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Don't disconnected disassociation.
- 16:33Speaker 5: No, I don't think so. I don't think I consume
- 16:34Speaker 5: it as entertainment because I don't like podcasts that are like, oh,
- 16:38Speaker 5: like Martinis and murder and like, I don't like stuff
- 16:41Speaker 5: like that. I don't glorify serial killers.
- 16:43Speaker 4: I know the way that people get into these documentaries.
- 16:45Speaker 4: They start talking about this crime and stuff like that.
- 16:47Speaker 4: They talk about it in a way as if they're
- 16:50Speaker 4: watching like some kind of like series, maybe they're watching Sopranos,
- 16:53Speaker 4: They're watching something that's fiction, but this is real life,
- 16:57Speaker 4: like people really were harmed, people died, people whatever.
- 17:00Speaker 5: Yeah, that's the things like, like I've said many times,
- 17:02Speaker 5: I don't I don't get into it like that. But
- 17:03Speaker 5: when it's like scammers, catfishers, you know, that kind of
- 17:06Speaker 5: stuff is a little more selacious and we can be like,
- 17:08Speaker 5: oh but murder, I don't do that. I have never
- 17:11Speaker 5: done that much.
- 17:11Speaker 4: I would think after like it would start to be depressing.
- 17:14Speaker 5: I just find it so intriguing, yeah, like emotionally heavy. Yeah,
- 17:18Speaker 5: I just I'm very intrigued by it.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Uh, Sammy weekend cheers and jeers.
- 17:23Speaker 9: My cheers is to the not just the NIXT winning.
- 17:27Speaker 9: I don't really care that much about basketball, Let's be honest.
- 17:30Speaker 9: But the Knicks one on Mary Kate and.
- 17:32Speaker 11: Ashley's fortieth birthday. That is the first thing I thought,
- 17:38Speaker 11: Oh my god, accuse me.
- 17:42Speaker 9: That's I know.
- 17:43Speaker 11: That is legitimately the first thing I thought of is
- 17:46Speaker 11: that Mary Kate must be so exciting. Yes, because she
- 17:50Speaker 11: was always at the Knicks games. Everybody knows that.
- 17:55Speaker 2: The are they must be the only people on your
- 18:00Speaker 2: because like no one else is thinking about Mary Kate
- 18:03Speaker 2: and Ashley. I've never associated them with the Knicks. Yeah.
- 18:06Speaker 11: Yeah, mary Kate went to all the games. She was
- 18:08Speaker 11: always at the basketball Huh.
- 18:10Speaker 2: I never I never saw it in New York.
- 18:12Speaker 4: Okay, but I've never I've never seen anybody talk about
- 18:15Speaker 4: Mary Kate Nashley being at these games. You see a
- 18:17Speaker 4: lot about other such.
- 18:18Speaker 5: A Spike Lee.
- 18:23Speaker 2: They've been so out of the public spotlight. We might
- 18:28Speaker 2: need to, you know, remind the audience who they even are.
- 18:31Speaker 9: They know who Mary Kate and Ashley are. Certain they
- 18:35Speaker 9: played full house.
- 18:36Speaker 4: The little girl, the youngest daughter who.
- 18:41Speaker 11: And well because especially it was Mary Kate with her
- 18:43Speaker 11: ex husband too. They were always at the games. They've
- 18:46Speaker 11: since divorced, but she was still a big fan, and
- 18:48Speaker 11: I was like, oh my god, they won on her
- 18:50Speaker 11: birthday and it was her fortieth birthday.
- 18:52Speaker 9: She must be so pumped.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Right now, Wait were they at the game? She's pumped
- 18:57Speaker 2: every day looking at her bank account. Yeah, they're like
- 19:00Speaker 2: why didn't they be there? Do they work anymore?
- 19:02Speaker 9: Yes, ask question.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I have no idea. They are not on my radar
- 19:06Speaker 2: at all.
- 19:07Speaker 9: Very very big deal in the luxury fashion world that.
- 19:11Speaker 2: I will never Yes, they're a very big deal. Great,
- 19:14Speaker 2: I mean in the public eye, in the you know,
- 19:16Speaker 2: people knowing who they are, like maybe you're twenty three
- 19:20Speaker 2: and me.
- 19:20Speaker 9: Yeah, but yeah maybe Okay, they are all over my
- 19:24Speaker 9: for you.
- 19:24Speaker 5: Page, But I'm the only human on the planet that's like,
- 19:29Speaker 5: I'm just so happy for the old and twins that
- 19:31Speaker 5: the next.
- 19:31Speaker 2: One I don't know. But my question is, again, they
- 19:35Speaker 2: have the means to be at that game and they're
- 19:37Speaker 2: not there. Maybe they're not even fans anymore. And you're excited.
- 19:40Speaker 9: No, because you're right, they don't really like to be
- 19:42Speaker 9: in the spotlight that much.
- 19:43Speaker 4: So what about your jeers?
- 19:44Speaker 9: Nine cheers? Is the random fees that don't make sense?
- 19:49Speaker 2: So that's what I always ask him, What do you
- 19:53Speaker 2: do for the fee, Greg, Sammy, Greg for a resort. No,
- 19:58Speaker 2: but what do you do?
- 20:00Speaker 4: Okay, like what do you what do you push a button?
- 20:02Speaker 2: What do you actually do?
- 20:03Speaker 7: So?
- 20:04Speaker 11: Uh seamboat Willie and I went to get a storage
- 20:07Speaker 11: unit this weekend since I'm moving in with him.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Oh you know what that means, you're getting storage units together.
- 20:13Speaker 11: We went to the closest step, the closest one by
- 20:17Speaker 11: his place first and decide not to go with it.
- 20:19Speaker 9: Wasn't climate control all this stuff.
- 20:21Speaker 11: So but they're telling us about a different one that's
- 20:23Speaker 11: further away that they own, that is, and he's telling
- 20:27Speaker 11: us about how they have automatic locks that you open
- 20:31Speaker 11: with your phone so you don't have to have a
- 20:33Speaker 11: lock on it. And he was like, you know you
- 20:35Speaker 11: have you have to have this electronic lock and it's
- 20:37Speaker 11: only a five dollars fee a month.
- 20:40Speaker 9: And I'm like, well, hold on, that's the only option.
- 20:42Speaker 9: You're not allowed to just put a lock on yourself.
- 20:44Speaker 11: So why wouldn't that just be wrapped up in the
- 20:46Speaker 11: price of the storage unit instead of going, oh, there's
- 20:49Speaker 11: a five dollars fee for something.
- 20:50Speaker 7: That you have to have.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Argument they were making, you know, Ryan Air, we were
- 20:54Speaker 4: talking about how they have a policy that says when
- 20:57Speaker 4: children are traveling, at least one parent has to be
- 20:59Speaker 4: with the kids, seed with them.
- 21:01Speaker 2: That's the rule.
- 21:01Speaker 4: But in order for families to sit together, they charge
- 21:04Speaker 4: a fee. They charge a fee ye to be able
- 21:06Speaker 4: to sit together, even.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Though they're forced.
- 21:08Speaker 5: It's not an upgrade.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Correct.
- 21:09Speaker 4: So that's why they're like in this lawsuit now or whatever,
- 21:12Speaker 4: they being investigated. I don't know what's a lawsuit, but
- 21:13Speaker 4: they're being investigated over something like that.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Just in this case.
- 21:17Speaker 4: That's that's a perfect example. Like you just charge for
- 21:21Speaker 4: the storage space, right, roll the five dollars fee into that,
- 21:24Speaker 4: because if it's just part of it, I notice, right.
- 21:27Speaker 11: And then we went to the next storaguniton place, which
- 21:29Speaker 11: we did end up getting the unit there because it
- 21:31Speaker 11: was really nice and we liked it, and at the
- 21:33Speaker 11: end paying for the storage unit, and there's a twenty
- 21:37Speaker 11: five dollars admin fee, which means.
- 21:40Speaker 9: Absolutely nothing exactly so sporting.
- 21:42Speaker 11: So he's like, oh, we have this twenty five dollars
- 21:45Speaker 11: admin fee, but if you leave us a good review.
- 21:49Speaker 9: On Yelp right now, we'll wave the fee. Okay, So
- 21:53Speaker 9: wave you're nothing fee that means nothing if I leave
- 21:57Speaker 9: a review, which of course we did, and because it
- 21:59Speaker 9: was a nice.
- 22:00Speaker 4: I was nice, but kind of smart when you think
- 22:02Speaker 4: about it. So the fee, you're right, it doesn't there's
- 22:05Speaker 4: nothing that they're doing right, right, right, there's no there's
- 22:09Speaker 4: no effort on their part. Now, if you decide to
- 22:12Speaker 4: leave them a review, you have saved twenty five bucks,
- 22:15Speaker 4: but it hasn't cost them anything if you don't leave
- 22:18Speaker 4: the review. They just made twenty five bucks to win.
- 22:21Speaker 7: Win.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah, so there's no lose.
- 22:23Speaker 5: For them, right, muscle proof that it means nothing.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Right, But it's the they're using that as the incentive.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Wow, they're admitting it means nothing.
- 22:31Speaker 5: I know, I like it, like clothing boutiques, like those
- 22:34Speaker 5: one off boutiques and like farmers market stands are big
- 22:37Speaker 5: on that, like but if you do this, we'll give
- 22:38Speaker 5: you a free bag of nuts or you know they.
- 22:42Speaker 4: We need to do that with our podcast reviews. Yeah, yeah,
- 22:45Speaker 4: there was something. I was trying to order something the
- 22:47Speaker 4: other day. Oh, there was a restaurant and they do
- 22:51Speaker 4: mobile ordering and we have their app, right, but for
- 22:56Speaker 4: whatever reason, we were having an issue, like getting logged
- 23:00Speaker 4: into this app and it wouldn't allow it. Like, I'm
- 23:04Speaker 4: just trying to place an order, a food order with
- 23:06Speaker 4: your restaurant and you're making this impossible, and I give
- 23:08Speaker 4: you money because yeah, because then I went to the
- 23:11Speaker 4: website to go place the order that way and it
- 23:13Speaker 4: says you can only place it if you have the app.
- 23:16Speaker 2: I'm like, there's a problem with the app, so therefore
- 23:18Speaker 2: no online ordering. Yeah. Yeah, so I'm like, forget it.
- 23:21Speaker 4: So guess what we didn't We didn't we didn't orders app? Yeah, right,
- 23:25Speaker 4: Like you make it so you make it so impossible.
- 23:28Speaker 4: I get that you want people to get your app,
- 23:29Speaker 4: so cool. Here, if you want to be able to
- 23:31Speaker 4: do this, you have to get the app. Okay, fine,
- 23:34Speaker 4: but what it comes down to is like, well, you
- 23:37Speaker 4: know you have to or you can't place the order.
- 23:39Speaker 4: That seems kind of silly because now you're losing out.
- 23:42Speaker 4: You're losing out on a sale.
- 23:43Speaker 5: They're getting greedy by forcing you to.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Do the app.
- 23:46Speaker 4: Twenty five bucks for them, Okay, twenty five bucks. They're
- 23:48Speaker 4: charging you probably an arm and a leg for the
- 23:50Speaker 4: for the storage. Yeah, that stuff's expensive, but yeah, it's
- 23:54Speaker 4: just it's goofy. I'm kind of with Greg on that
- 23:56Speaker 4: where now there's a there's a there's a force behind
- 24:01Speaker 4: you know, forcing you to get an app, right, or
- 24:04Speaker 4: to sign up for whatever.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Clib Oh, you want to be able to you want
- 24:07Speaker 2: to be able to to pay for.
- 24:09Speaker 4: Whatever here at your table. Oh well you have to
- 24:11Speaker 4: have the app in order.
- 24:12Speaker 2: To do that, or you have to I would just
- 24:14Speaker 2: get up and walk out. You want to make a reservation,
- 24:16Speaker 2: you got to do it through our app?
- 24:18Speaker 7: Right? Yeah?
- 24:18Speaker 2: Well Greg has them try to explain the feed. That's
- 24:20Speaker 2: my favorite.
- 24:21Speaker 8: Well, because I would love to pay it if you
- 24:24Speaker 8: tell me what you do for it, and they can't.
- 24:27Speaker 8: Like in a cell phone company, a connection fee. Okay,
- 24:29Speaker 8: so is a man climbing up a pole and pushing
- 24:33Speaker 8: a button putting brown and to establish your account? I said, no,
- 24:37Speaker 8: I speak English, I understand the words coming out of.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Your but what do you do? Basically?
- 24:41Speaker 4: Maybe that worked back in the day when someone used
- 24:44Speaker 4: to have to like fill out a bunch of paperwork
- 24:46Speaker 4: and file something and whatever. But we've all signed up
- 24:49Speaker 4: for stuff within five seconds online. Yeah, we're doing it ourselves.
- 24:52Speaker 4: You enter, you go, yep, yeah, we're on boarding ourselves.
- 24:55Speaker 4: Do you enter your name? Okay, address, send and then
- 25:00Speaker 4: that's it. It's established. It's established.
- 25:02Speaker 5: I guess I work here now.
- 25:02Speaker 4: And in this case, you're saying, like you filled out
- 25:04Speaker 4: all the crap, it's still gonna to activate an account
- 25:08Speaker 4: like then I did.
- 25:09Speaker 2: I just did it.
- 25:09Speaker 4: I just did with one thing and is five thousand dollars.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I did with my internet. My internet connected.
- 25:18Speaker 4: And then when you go to a car dealership, I
- 25:20Speaker 4: always thought that dock fees meant you're paying for when
- 25:23Speaker 4: it came into port and was that a physical doc?
- 25:28Speaker 7: Right?
- 25:29Speaker 8: Then it's document fees And what does that mean? The
- 25:32Speaker 8: person in the office went file and scrolled down to
- 25:35Speaker 8: the word print and hit print.
- 25:36Speaker 5: But what did they get hired to do?
- 25:38Speaker 10: Why did they get extra for that?
- 25:40Speaker 8: And then you paid like two hundred and fifty bucks
- 25:41Speaker 8: for dock fees that because they hit print on their computer.
- 25:45Speaker 8: I'll go into your office and print them out first
- 25:47Speaker 8: of all, docking.
- 25:49Speaker 4: I'm saying, right, and going right over to genic Brad,
- 25:57Speaker 4: there's got the trending news headlines.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Well, we have a deal.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Probably the US and I RAN have agreed to a
- 26:02Speaker 5: sixty day ceasefire that will begin as soon as the
- 26:05Speaker 5: papers are signed. Later this week in Switzerland, there are
- 26:07Speaker 5: immediate plans to lift the US naval blockade on Iran
- 26:11Speaker 5: in exchange for Iran clearing minds and reopening the Strait
- 26:14Speaker 5: of Hormouth or horror moved right. This should obviously be
- 26:18Speaker 5: a big impact on the price of gas. The price
- 26:20Speaker 5: of oil is already coming down, so you know, let's
- 26:23Speaker 5: see those gas prices.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Well, well, let's see if they come down as quickly
- 26:26Speaker 4: as they.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Go up.
- 26:29Speaker 4: A dollar a gallop, like the minute, there's even even
- 26:32Speaker 4: some kind of hinge of conflict. The price goes The
- 26:35Speaker 4: price of oil changes immediately right as it goes up,
- 26:38Speaker 4: and then overnight, like the gas prices go up.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Yeah, so if the you'd.
- 26:42Speaker 4: Stand to reason that if overnight the price of a
- 26:46Speaker 4: barrel of oil goes down, that the price should drop
- 26:49Speaker 4: at the gas station overnight the same way, the same
- 26:51Speaker 4: way it went up.
- 26:52Speaker 5: Yeah, yet it drops by two pennies and we're all
- 26:54Speaker 5: so grateful, and which is, oh, thank you.
- 26:57Speaker 4: They the rollback of the price. He went from the
- 27:00Speaker 4: high ninety dollars range to eighty bucks a barel something,
- 27:03Speaker 4: So let's get guess.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Today, thank you well.
- 27:06Speaker 5: Songwriter, rapper and producer Oliver Tree passed away in a
- 27:10Speaker 5: helicopter crash in Brazil. He was thirty two years old,
- 27:13Speaker 5: so the chopper he was in collided with another chopper
- 27:16Speaker 5: in Rio de Janeiro. Five others who were in the
- 27:19Speaker 5: helicopter passed away as well. And in case you don't
- 27:22Speaker 5: know who he was, he had hits like Life Goes
- 27:24Speaker 5: On and Miss You in the early twenty twenties and
- 27:27Speaker 5: he was in Brazil as part of his world tour.
- 27:29Speaker 5: Lots of people will remember Tree for coming up with
- 27:32Speaker 5: characters like his famous Vine character Turbo. He wore those
- 27:35Speaker 5: wide legged Janco jeans and a big bowl cut.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Well he gave Randy, who used to work here on
- 27:41Speaker 4: the show. Yeah, when Oliver Tree came by, we had
- 27:44Speaker 4: Oliver give Randy a bowl cut, yeah, which came out
- 27:47Speaker 4: pretty good. Yeah. Yeah, we have that video on our Instagram.
- 27:50Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, when when that news broke, so did post
- 27:54Speaker 4: that video. It was fun and I remember like this
- 27:56Speaker 4: was so good. But when I heard his first song
- 27:59Speaker 4: I think was called Her was the first single that
- 28:01Speaker 4: they released, awesome. So I told everybody like, look man,
- 28:04Speaker 4: I cause I get it because I am this way.
- 28:06Speaker 4: How I didn't like the idea of the show the
- 28:08Speaker 4: Marvelous Missus MASL because of the title. I judged by
- 28:12Speaker 4: the title, and I'm like, look, listen to the song
- 28:15Speaker 4: first before you go, because you'll get caught up in
- 28:17Speaker 4: the hole. Because he was goofy and he the bowl
- 28:20Speaker 4: cut and all the stuff that he does as part
- 28:22Speaker 4: of his you know, shtick or whatever. Yeah, but a
- 28:26Speaker 4: lot of people had a lot of nice stuff to
- 28:27Speaker 4: say about that dude.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:29Speaker 4: I was watching some of the stuff on Instagram. Diplo
- 28:32Speaker 4: posts this big long Yeah, I think about.
- 28:34Speaker 2: He was a great guy. Was so many like communities, art, music, comedy. Yeah,
- 28:41Speaker 2: and then so so many people have nice things to
- 28:43Speaker 2: say about.
- 28:44Speaker 4: Like the former addict turned himself around, you know, just
- 28:47Speaker 4: kind of focused his uh, his energies into other things.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Besides, he was.
- 28:52Speaker 4: The polar opposite of what we see these days, dime
- 28:55Speaker 4: a dozen kind of artists you know nothing.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Yeah, Distati factured.
- 28:59Speaker 8: Everything about him was interesting. The way he acted, talk,
- 29:03Speaker 8: looked saying. His songs I thought were like, they're fun,
- 29:06Speaker 8: pretty fun, but some of them were some of them
- 29:08Speaker 8: dark and almost nine inch nails.
- 29:10Speaker 12: Ish.
- 29:10Speaker 4: I thought he was brill not a household name by
- 29:12Speaker 4: any stretch of the imagination. But nice dude, sucks man,
- 29:16Speaker 4: what a way to go.
- 29:17Speaker 2: It blows horrible.
- 29:19Speaker 5: Well. Unfortunately, more bad news. A pilot and eleven skydivers
- 29:23Speaker 5: were killed over the weekend when an airplane crashed near
- 29:26Speaker 5: an airport in Missouri. All twelve people confirmed dead. According
- 29:30Speaker 5: to law enforcement, the plane crashed right after it took
- 29:33Speaker 5: off and it was Skydive Kansas City that was the
- 29:35Speaker 5: company that operated the flight. They released a statement saying
- 29:38Speaker 5: all the things you supposed to say, deepest sympathies, devastating loss.
- 29:42Speaker 5: The NTSB and FA are investigating how this happened. And
- 29:47Speaker 5: another drought has ended, this time in the NHL with
- 29:50Speaker 5: the Carolina Hurricanes winning the Stanley Cup for the first
- 29:52Speaker 5: time in twenty years. They took down the Vegas Golden
- 29:56Speaker 5: Knights in six games and Jordan Stall took home the
- 29:59Speaker 5: cons smythe trophy for m v P of the Finals.
- 30:02Speaker 4: It was a it was a good series, man, Like
- 30:04Speaker 4: the playoffs. The hockey playoffs were really good. Like they
- 30:07Speaker 4: a lot of overtime games. There was a lot of
- 30:09Speaker 4: there's a lot of action shootouts. Yeah, they keep doing
- 30:12Speaker 4: things to try to get people more interested in hockey,
- 30:14Speaker 4: and uh, you know there was something about after game
- 30:17Speaker 4: two or Game three about how they had set like
- 30:21Speaker 4: some new record for viewing Stanley Cup game.
- 30:25Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, I have an idea. I've been thinking about this.
- 30:28Speaker 5: I know what you can do, but it's gonna take
- 30:30Speaker 5: some athletes. Why don't we have cheerleaders on skates? I
- 30:35Speaker 5: mean these come out, you know when they're doing They
- 30:38Speaker 5: not cheerleaders, but what they what they do for the
- 30:41Speaker 5: eye candy.
- 30:41Speaker 4: At NHL games they have the chicks come out with
- 30:43Speaker 4: the shovels and they clear the ice. You know, but
- 30:47Speaker 4: there's also dudes out there too, you know what I mean.
- 30:49Speaker 4: But yeah, they're the ones that kind of like with
- 30:51Speaker 4: the the big shovel, the with the with the wheelly
- 30:54Speaker 4: trash candid they put all the ice shavings.
- 30:56Speaker 2: In because like the mambo they sell after snow cones.
- 31:00Speaker 5: We need like real cheerleaders, but they're gonna have to
- 31:02Speaker 5: be able to escape just.
- 31:06Speaker 9: Well listen. Then they would have to actually pay the
- 31:08Speaker 9: cheerleaders if they're.
- 31:13Speaker 4: Is this an unpopular opinion? Like I think after college
- 31:16Speaker 4: cheerleaders are kind.
- 31:17Speaker 5: Of tacky even in basketball, like the Nick City.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Dancers, the Cowboy cheerleaders, they like, yeah, interesting show when
- 31:27Speaker 2: the game is happening. I don't really pay attention to
- 31:30Speaker 2: the cheerleaders chad NFL games, but at basketball games I do.
- 31:38Speaker 6: Will they just come out during like but I'm talking
- 31:40Speaker 6: like the cheerleaders, you know, like not like some kind
- 31:44Speaker 6: of like dance crew, like they are dancers.
- 31:46Speaker 9: All the cheerleaders are dancers.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Okay, and they're not strippers. They're entertainers. We get it.
- 31:50Speaker 2: But you know what I'm talking about pom poms. That's
- 31:53Speaker 2: raw raw.
- 31:53Speaker 4: Yeah, it's I don't know, it kind of not just
- 31:56Speaker 4: kind of just kind of tacky. It's like how the
- 31:58Speaker 4: Baltimore rat Birds, the Rave they have the marching band.
- 32:01Speaker 4: Marching bands end at college.
- 32:03Speaker 5: Okay, so this is for everyone. This isn't just like cheerleaders, bands, cheerleaders.
- 32:08Speaker 5: Everything that isn't.
- 32:09Speaker 4: Say that stays in like, uh, you know, school athletics.
- 32:13Speaker 2: That's so unfair.
- 32:14Speaker 5: What about mascots.
- 32:15Speaker 2: You're saying they don't get paid anyway, so what do
- 32:17Speaker 2: you care?
- 32:17Speaker 5: They don't?
- 32:18Speaker 11: But I just mean, I think I think it kind
- 32:19Speaker 11: of sucks that people can continue playing an adult men's
- 32:23Speaker 11: league basketball or baseball as long as they can and
- 32:26Speaker 11: everyone thinks that's fine.
- 32:27Speaker 9: And if a girl likes cheer it's like a loser.
- 32:29Speaker 2: It's not about a girl, it's just it's cheerleading. And
- 32:32Speaker 2: just you know what about mascots?
- 32:34Speaker 5: Can they run out in their big heads and do
- 32:35Speaker 5: like some results or.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Is that.
- 32:38Speaker 5: How far do we take?
- 32:39Speaker 4: That's different because that's like hetty rules, get crazy.
- 32:44Speaker 5: Yeah, Beami or Steely mc nobody.
- 32:49Speaker 4: Nobody, nobody even cares about that. Yeah, nobody shouts at
- 32:52Speaker 4: No Steeler fan is down with Steely McBean. Now, yeah
- 32:56Speaker 4: it's done. There's a there's a couple of really good mascots,
- 32:58Speaker 4: and that's for the kids. It's like the chucky cheese
- 33:00Speaker 4: say yeah.
- 33:02Speaker 5: Yeah, okay.
- 33:03Speaker 2: Well.
- 33:03Speaker 5: Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day won the weekend. It was the
- 33:07Speaker 5: best opening weekend for a one off Spielberg movie ever.
- 33:10Speaker 5: The movie made forty four million, and that's more than
- 33:13Speaker 5: double what the second place finisher, Obsession made this weekend,
- 33:15Speaker 5: which I stin't really want to see. Scary Movie six
- 33:18Speaker 5: drop down to third, back Rooms finished fourth, and Masters
- 33:21Speaker 5: of the Universe rounded out the top five. Now, things
- 33:24Speaker 5: are expected to get shuffled around, as we all know,
- 33:26Speaker 5: next weekend when Toy Story five is released, so it'll
- 33:29Speaker 5: no doubt take the top spot. What do your daughter
- 33:32Speaker 5: wants me to take her to see Obsession?
- 33:34Speaker 2: Can I do that? I don't know what that's about?
- 33:36Speaker 6: What is it?
- 33:37Speaker 5: It's a guy who like really loves this girl and
- 33:40Speaker 5: makes like a secret wish, like I wish she was
- 33:42Speaker 5: obsessed with me, and then she's like obsessed. Yeah, she
- 33:47Speaker 5: really wants me to take her.
- 33:48Speaker 4: I don't care about that. You have to ask the mother.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Oh, okay, ask her mom.
- 33:51Speaker 5: All right, because we're gonna tell you guys when we're
- 33:53Speaker 5: seeing Grogu and the Mandalorian.
- 33:55Speaker 2: But I mean the image that I see there's like
- 33:56Speaker 2: blood involved and stuff.
- 33:58Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, you let me know. I don't want to
- 34:00Speaker 5: be the bad guy.
- 34:00Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 34:01Speaker 4: I don't care about that. We watched all those movies
- 34:03Speaker 4: as kids, and somehow we survived. Yeah, ver exciting, like
- 34:06Speaker 4: all the movie Crystal. Of the movies that I loved
- 34:09Speaker 4: as a kid were movies that my parents like, even
- 34:12Speaker 4: down to Police Academy, and my parents didn't want me
- 34:14Speaker 4: watching Police Academy.
- 34:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I.
- 34:19Speaker 5: Watched the Nerds.
- 34:20Speaker 2: My mother was My mother was very young. She had
- 34:22Speaker 2: me very young and so she'd be more chill.
- 34:25Speaker 4: No, I think she was just overly like protective.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Overly cautious, not you know, quite sure, but do you
- 34:30Speaker 2: think you're confident what she's doing.
- 34:32Speaker 8: Our kids these days more numb to movies because when
- 34:34Speaker 8: we were young and watched scary movies like Friday the
- 34:37Speaker 8: Thirteenth series or whatever, it affected my life, like it
- 34:41Speaker 8: would make me afraid to walk home at night.
- 34:43Speaker 5: Really, that's true, Knight, Bryn Elm Street. I stopped taking
- 34:45Speaker 5: baths for like thirty years.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I wonder if kids today get affected that.
- 34:50Speaker 5: Ya, that's a good question.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Who's this old ass man on social media where he
- 34:54Speaker 2: meets Freddy Krueger and he goes, I just want to
- 34:57Speaker 2: meet you to say that I'm no longer afraid of you.
- 35:01Speaker 2: I have overcome my fear and like I forget. The
- 35:03Speaker 2: actor's name is cool Man neat something England.
- 35:08Speaker 5: And yeah, Roberty Roberty. And finally UFC Freedom two point
- 35:12Speaker 5: fifty went down at the White House. The event started
- 35:14Speaker 5: an hour late after the thunderstorms rolled through DC, but
- 35:17Speaker 5: once it started it did not disappoint. Justin Gagee won
- 35:20Speaker 5: and is now the undisputed lightweight champion Other winners last
- 35:24Speaker 5: night included Cerial Games, Sugar Shan O'Malley, and Josh hok It.
- 35:28Speaker 5: Speaking of hok It, by the way, he starred up
- 35:30Speaker 5: some controversy during his post fight speech when he called
- 35:33Speaker 5: Michelle Obama a man.
- 35:35Speaker 2: He shout out the trunk for having the ball to
- 35:37Speaker 2: put some like this on.
- 35:39Speaker 3: And if I'm gonna say anything, there's only one person
- 35:42Speaker 3: more incredible than the incredible Hulk. And that's why lorda Savior,
- 35:46Speaker 3: Jesus Christ. And lastly, Mochelle Obama is a man.
- 35:53Speaker 2: I'm right, America.
- 35:55Speaker 5: So he's just like a great, a straight up troll.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Yeah, well yeah, I mean he from what I understand,
- 36:01Speaker 4: he says a lot of stuff and he gets himself
- 36:04Speaker 4: in the conversations a lot. I don't know enough about
- 36:08Speaker 4: him to you know, but from what I understand after
- 36:11Speaker 4: watching a couple of recap things.
- 36:12Speaker 5: Yeah, he's a character character.
- 36:15Speaker 2: That's one way. That's that's one way people describe playing
- 36:18Speaker 2: a character. He's kind of like the WWE.
- 36:20Speaker 12: Heel like everybody last night, and he's loving that negativity
- 36:25Speaker 12: that is getting.
- 36:26Speaker 4: So Morgan was there and she's going to have a recap.
- 36:29Speaker 4: She's making her way back is she So she's not
- 36:32Speaker 4: she's not here, but yeah, she's got some other stuff
- 36:34Speaker 4: that she collected while.
- 36:35Speaker 2: She was in from interesting was you.
- 36:41Speaker 4: Want to get pregnant this week?
- 36:42Speaker 2: And I know this is the white House lawn. She
- 36:45Speaker 2: was posting this video of this guy. He was like
- 36:47Speaker 2: doing a cup tower of like all the beer cups
- 36:50Speaker 2: and it was probably like fifty feet high or somewhere.
- 36:54Speaker 2: I mean, it's pretty funny, like this classic white House
- 37:00Speaker 2: going on. All right, more what he shows next? Hang
- 37:02Speaker 2: on after these messages show. Yeah, so just a little
- 37:12Speaker 2: follow up on the on the Knicks.
- 37:16Speaker 4: Due these fans, I'm not even happy for him, Like
- 37:22Speaker 4: they're so obnoxious. They're just over the top of noxious.
- 37:26Speaker 4: Like I don't understand the whole I'm gonna burn down
- 37:30Speaker 4: my city, destroy things just because my team won, like
- 37:35Speaker 4: it immediately, Like I had no feeling one way.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Or the other about the Knicks. I don't care. But
- 37:39Speaker 2: it would have been fine other way. Cool. You had
- 37:41Speaker 2: a big drought and you hadn't won anything for a while.
- 37:43Speaker 2: All right, that's that's fine. I can get behind that.
- 37:46Speaker 4: But it just this has nothing to do with the Knicks.
- 37:48Speaker 4: This has nothing to do with basketball. This has nothing
- 37:50Speaker 4: to do with you being happy. This has everything to
- 37:52Speaker 4: do with you just being opportunistic and just going out
- 37:55Speaker 4: there and just use this as an excuse to create chaos.
- 37:59Speaker 4: And it's dumb. It's so I don't know. We always
- 38:04Speaker 4: talk about how, you know, everything is just kind of
- 38:08Speaker 4: just just going down and down and down a spiral,
- 38:12Speaker 4: and then you go, wow, they're they're just you know,
- 38:15Speaker 4: they're just cellar. People are so stressed. I mean, just
- 38:18Speaker 4: let people have their outlet and it's like, no man
- 38:21Speaker 4: like stuff. Some guys got like one of those like
- 38:24Speaker 4: metal barricades that they use to keep people corralled into
- 38:27Speaker 4: Times Square for the ball drop and stuff, and he's
- 38:30Speaker 4: usually to try to like destroy this, uh police car.
- 38:34Speaker 4: People are beating on this like school bus.
- 38:37Speaker 8: Yeah, cab drivers are all bummed out because their cars
- 38:40Speaker 8: are being destroyed, just destroyed.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:44Speaker 4: So UT's yeah, because every halfway in the Tri State
- 38:47Speaker 4: area just flooded the streets and started destroying stuff and
- 38:50Speaker 4: so vehicles destroyed, set on fires, five school buses. These
- 38:55Speaker 4: school busers were hired to transport World Cup fans from
- 38:58Speaker 4: MetLife Stadium. Ten cops injured, dozens of people arrested, fights,
- 39:04Speaker 4: a teenager was shot. There were four slashings or stabbings. Yeah,
- 39:09Speaker 4: and then here are yeah, here are the hero the
- 39:12Speaker 4: r word nick fans.
- 39:15Speaker 9: City down.
- 39:20Speaker 2: You want when I catch you, you better know what's riding. Mamma,
- 39:24Speaker 2: suck you. I'm taking my last long ash. If you
- 39:32Speaker 2: want to, we're gonna send you back the He's the
- 39:36Speaker 2: biggest pussy. Yeah, and it sucks.
- 39:47Speaker 4: I feel bad for the for the players, for the Knicks,
- 39:50Speaker 4: you know players, because people like, okay, the Knicks one.
- 39:54Speaker 4: Immediately the story goes to this because this is part
- 39:57Speaker 4: of the story, and it's like you know, uh, the
- 40:00Speaker 4: Eagles or you know, any other Philadelphia team. It always
- 40:03Speaker 4: goes to the fans doing dumb stuff. Yeah, And I
- 40:06Speaker 4: think it takes away from it takes away from their
- 40:08Speaker 4: accomplishment because then there's there's there's people like me to
- 40:12Speaker 4: go you know what ethnics, you know, and they're dumb
- 40:14Speaker 4: ass fans to Yeah. I can't even be happy for
- 40:17Speaker 4: Jerry O'Connell. We love Jerry. Here's what Okay, here's here, Well,
- 40:22Speaker 4: I'll give you silver lining. I thought this was cool
- 40:25Speaker 4: because the team plane was making its way back because
- 40:28Speaker 4: they they won in they won in San Antonio, which
- 40:31Speaker 4: is always weird.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Uh, So they made their way back to uh New York,
- 40:36Speaker 4: and air traffic control routed them on approach back to
- 40:40Speaker 4: the airport to pass all the major New York stuff.
- 40:43Speaker 4: So like they got this really cool scenic view of
- 40:46Speaker 4: being able to see the city all lit up and
- 40:47Speaker 4: Nick's colors. They went by the Statue of Liberty and
- 40:50Speaker 4: everything else, and they gave him a shout out as
- 40:52Speaker 4: they were coming back.
- 40:52Speaker 7: In Bridge up the Hudson, the Statue and all the
- 40:57Speaker 7: good stuff in New York. Please let the guys know
- 40:59Speaker 7: New York, dray Con, La Guadia Tower, Kennedy Tower, maybe
- 41:03Speaker 7: even Newerk Tower West, just the tower. We're all we're
- 41:05Speaker 7: all on about three to four hours of sleep, but
- 41:07Speaker 7: as happy as we could have a big congress.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure they were.
- 41:11Speaker 7: They finally settled down about thirty minutes ago, but before
- 41:14Speaker 7: that there was a pretty pretty excited watching back there.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Yeah, pretty cool. That's nice.
- 41:19Speaker 5: I don't love knowing that my pilots and your traffic
- 41:21Speaker 5: controllers are going in three hours sleep, but I get
- 41:23Speaker 5: the sentiment.
- 41:25Speaker 4: I think we're all staying up and watching. Somebody in
- 41:27Speaker 4: the text saying the chaos is in every sports fan thing. No,
- 41:30Speaker 4: it's not every major city that wins has the same
- 41:32Speaker 4: response to a winner or lot.
- 41:34Speaker 2: No, they don't. It's not every city.
- 41:36Speaker 4: And you can't tell me major cities. Yeah no, And
- 41:38Speaker 4: you cannot tell me that this is on part. I
- 41:40Speaker 4: would put this maybe with Philly, but this is even
- 41:42Speaker 4: a different level than Philly.
- 41:44Speaker 2: This is more.
- 41:46Speaker 4: This is more hood rat ish with the Knicks fans
- 41:50Speaker 4: than it is like with Philly. Philly is just like
- 41:52Speaker 4: I don't know, knuckle dragons, like.
- 41:54Speaker 2: Like a major city, like after a huge win, there's
- 41:57Speaker 2: always a fire. You're not not on this level, no way,
- 42:03Speaker 2: this is this is different. Yeah, it looks different, it
- 42:06Speaker 2: sounds different.
- 42:07Speaker 4: It looks like a war zone.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Yeah. It's dumb.
- 42:09Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, and if you support it, you're part of
- 42:12Speaker 4: the problem.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 42:14Speaker 4: Yeah, you're just as dumb.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Wow.
- 42:16Speaker 4: Now I feel like an idiot costing me all these questions?
- 42:22Speaker 4: Is not there the Wooden show Man in two another hour,
- 42:29Speaker 4: you're on the Woody Show Woody Greg minutes. Yeah, there's
- 42:33Speaker 4: a sea bass. Got the phones open eight seven seven
- 42:37Speaker 4: forty four Wooding. You can send us a text over
- 42:39Speaker 4: to two two nine eight seven. I have to point
- 42:43Speaker 4: out that the Carolina Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup for
- 42:46Speaker 4: the first time in a billion years and somehow their
- 42:47Speaker 4: city didn't burn. Weird, sort of just throw that out there. Yeah,
- 42:52Speaker 4: and you were you were among the Knicks fans. Yeah, well, idiot,
- 42:55Speaker 4: I saw this the.
- 42:56Speaker 6: Headline, Carolina wins Cup for first time in twenty years,
- 42:59Speaker 6: as if they're like, I'm kind of long standing like.
- 43:01Speaker 2: The original I think no one cares.
- 43:04Speaker 6: Well, Well, the Carolina fans are really good fans, like
- 43:07Speaker 6: they they've adopted hockey at the same way that Vegas has.
- 43:10Speaker 4: Because they they got their team from Hartford, right, Yeah,
- 43:13Speaker 4: like that was it late nineties.
- 43:15Speaker 6: Or some point out Carolina has won the Cup twice
- 43:18Speaker 6: and it is now thirty three years since Canada has
- 43:22Speaker 6: won the Cup. And you lost in the Olympics last year.
- 43:26Speaker 6: You're kind of getting spanked by the US and it's
- 43:27Speaker 6: we don't even care about your sports.
- 43:30Speaker 5: Next, we're going to dominate curling.
- 43:33Speaker 4: Yeah, there was something about the last time that the
- 43:38Speaker 4: it was the it was the song that was number
- 43:39Speaker 4: one the last time that the Knicks won the championship.
- 43:43Speaker 4: Discos it's older than disco.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's probably like like late duop. It's probably
- 43:49Speaker 2: like folk like crossby St.
- 43:50Speaker 4: National here it is, ye, Orlando, you know this. I
- 44:06Speaker 4: know I've heard yellow ribbon around the old oak tree?
- 44:11Speaker 5: Is it for like like heard me like the local
- 44:13Speaker 5: coming home.
- 44:13Speaker 6: I put a yellow ribbon on the tree in front
- 44:15Speaker 6: of our house, at our front house because we had
- 44:18Speaker 6: a guy who joined the Marines and he was he
- 44:19Speaker 6: was in Afghanistan.
- 44:20Speaker 4: There's ribbons for everything. Now put the ribbon on. Yeah,
- 44:26Speaker 4: lots of ribbons. Uh, but see Menace weekend cheers and jeers.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Well, definitely cheers for the super you know sports weekend
- 44:34Speaker 2: that happened with the the US soccer game, you know,
- 44:37Speaker 2: US dominating That was awesome, and then of course Nick
- 44:40Speaker 2: Spurs was fun. Do we beat in the soccery? There
- 44:44Speaker 2: you go? Yeah a four to one? Yeah that country?
- 44:47Speaker 2: Yeah pretty good.
- 44:48Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 44:48Speaker 2: I couldn't you know, figure out where it would be,
- 44:50Speaker 2: but yeah we won. So of course soccer, I you know,
- 45:00Speaker 2: I love racing, so F one was really exciting because
- 45:03Speaker 2: Lewis Hamilton, who's won like seven world championships, he won
- 45:07Speaker 2: a race for the first time in like two years,
- 45:09Speaker 2: so people were really excited about that. After all that
- 45:12Speaker 2: sports weekend. I did go to Shakira concert, so be jealous.
- 45:16Speaker 2: That was that was super fun. Yeah, still say that legitimately, No, dude,
- 45:22Speaker 2: So people like kind of forget like Shakira was like
- 45:26Speaker 2: Alanis mor set back in the nineties. She had like
- 45:28Speaker 2: black hair, and she can actually like play instruments. So
- 45:31Speaker 2: when you go there, you think you're going to like
- 45:33Speaker 2: a pop show, but she's playing the drums, guitar, the
- 45:37Speaker 2: freaking harmonica. Yeah. Yeah, dude, it was. So it was
- 45:44Speaker 2: pretty crazy, So right or wrong?
- 45:45Speaker 4: I always kind of I've always kind of seen her
- 45:47Speaker 4: as like Latina Kesha.
- 45:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I could see that Kesha. I think, much classier
- 45:53Speaker 5: and talented.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:54Speaker 4: I just hated that song when it came out, something
- 45:56Speaker 4: about her hips or.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Been humble.
- 46:02Speaker 4: I'm like, oh god, I hated the cadence of it.
- 46:05Speaker 4: I couldn't turn it fast enough. I don't know anything
- 46:07Speaker 4: about her. She's probably a very nice lay.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Yeah it was. It was a pretty good show. Yeah. Yeah.
- 46:15Speaker 2: Paraguay largest landlocked navy in the world, So how do
- 46:21Speaker 2: they practice You have cruisers on the lake traffic. Yeah,
- 46:25Speaker 2: and then you know, of course the Jeers was Oliver Tree,
- 46:28Speaker 2: which I think like if we could redo And Greg
- 46:32Speaker 2: always makes this argument about modern art because it sucks.
- 46:36Speaker 2: If he could be like the the version of what
- 46:40Speaker 2: modern art is today, I think it would be Oliver
- 46:43Speaker 2: Tree because he was like more of a performance artist
- 46:46Speaker 2: more than just a musical artist, like in in every
- 46:49Speaker 2: way and like comedy art and in music, Like that
- 46:53Speaker 2: is what modern art should be today instead of this
- 46:56Speaker 2: like weird boring stuff that we pretend to tap a banana.
- 46:59Speaker 6: To the existing objects, you're just putting them on the advertisement.
- 47:04Speaker 6: To this in this day and age that Yoko Ono
- 47:06Speaker 6: was appearing in some art museum, Yeah, like.
- 47:09Speaker 2: This that is not modern art. Like what Oliver Tree
- 47:12Speaker 2: was doing was definitely modernized. I'll say he was highly
- 47:14Speaker 2: respected amongst people that I likes. Yeah, so in the community.
- 47:18Speaker 2: In the community, so jeers to that is gone, Greg Gory,
- 47:22Speaker 2: cheers and jeers. Okay.
- 47:24Speaker 8: So I had such a great social weekend. It was fun,
- 47:26Speaker 8: no chores. But my only my standout cheers is going
- 47:31Speaker 8: to be so I almost swore so obvious. It's like
- 47:35Speaker 8: saying pizza is good. But went out to brunch and
- 47:39Speaker 8: I ordered eggs Benedict, which and I normally get order envy.
- 47:44Speaker 8: That's my cheers is finally not getting order envy. Every
- 47:48Speaker 8: time I go out to eat with anybody, it's like, oh,
- 47:51Speaker 8: I stir at their plate and I have got that.
- 47:53Speaker 2: I should have gotten that.
- 47:54Speaker 4: My eggs Benedict were so good I almost cried.
- 47:57Speaker 2: There were were they? Stevie wan under Good?
- 48:00Speaker 4: They were like Stevie wondergood?
- 48:04Speaker 2: Who else Donald's? Oh god, it was McDonald's. I'm loving it.
- 48:08Speaker 2: It was so like, what's the thing between you and Mario?
- 48:11Speaker 4: The McDonald's like using that as an AGA's, so something like,
- 48:16Speaker 4: oh that couch is it McDonald's?
- 48:18Speaker 2: Yes, meaning like are you loving it?
- 48:21Speaker 4: Is it McDonald's? And then Stevie wonder Good?
- 48:24Speaker 2: Is it so good that you kind of close your
- 48:25Speaker 2: eyes and your head? This is Stevie wonder Good?
- 48:29Speaker 4: So damn good? My jeers is the following question?
- 48:34Speaker 2: Have you ever woken up and had blood on your
- 48:36Speaker 2: pillow and you don't know why?
- 48:41Speaker 5: But it sounds like a documentary I'd.
- 48:42Speaker 4: Watched I know, right, and my panties. Sure, I want
- 48:46Speaker 4: my pillow to make the bed. What's this blood on
- 48:50Speaker 4: my pillow? I don't have any cuts on my face.
- 48:53Speaker 4: I don't have any cuts on my mouth.
- 48:56Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 48:59Speaker 8: I guess so, but it just and then I said it.
- 49:01Speaker 8: I held it up and showed it Tomorrio. I said,
- 49:03Speaker 8: look at my pillow. He's like, yeah, you bleed a
- 49:05Speaker 8: lot when you sleep.
- 49:08Speaker 2: That's common knowledge. Did you say where he came from?
- 49:10Speaker 2: I've got your mouth, my head in my face. But
- 49:13Speaker 2: how does he know that? And you don't?
- 49:15Speaker 4: I don't like you've seen blood before, but you've never
- 49:17Speaker 4: noticed that. Here's my guest. I didn't pursue it because
- 49:20Speaker 4: I didn't. I was embarrassed. I don't want to talk
- 49:21Speaker 4: about it, like why am I bleeding? He's the one
- 49:25Speaker 4: that does all the laundry and I do all the
- 49:26Speaker 4: yard work. That's the agreement.
- 49:28Speaker 2: So for all I know, my side of the bed
- 49:30Speaker 2: is just head to toe blood.
- 49:32Speaker 5: No one's never mentioned.
- 49:34Speaker 2: But it's just disconcerted.
- 49:36Speaker 8: You need a humidifier like jears to waken up with
- 49:39Speaker 8: blood on your pillow and not knowing why it's there.
- 49:41Speaker 2: But that's so weird that he wouldn't tell you, like, hey,
- 49:43Speaker 2: you're bleeding and I maybe should look into this, and
- 49:46Speaker 2: you not even asking, Okay, where's it come from? Let's
- 49:51Speaker 2: not talk about it?
- 49:52Speaker 4: Really, I do I've heard of snoring. I've never heard
- 49:54Speaker 4: of sleep bleeding.
- 49:56Speaker 2: He's kind of figured it's the thing old people do.
- 49:59Speaker 2: It's just a little that's weird.
- 50:01Speaker 5: To make you happy. I do have a tip, no
- 50:03Speaker 5: I'm not calling it a hack, a tip for when
- 50:04Speaker 5: you're afraid you're going to order the wrong thing. You
- 50:07Speaker 5: order the thing you really want, and the second thing
- 50:08Speaker 5: you order for the table, so then everybody can sort
- 50:12Speaker 5: of pretend that they're eating it, but you can just
- 50:14Speaker 5: have else.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Had order envy.
- 50:16Speaker 4: Mine was, Yeah, like you would think, after being disappointed
- 50:20Speaker 4: so many times, maybe you would just wait for everybody
- 50:22Speaker 4: to order and then just order something they already got,
- 50:24Speaker 4: I know, you know, like all the other things everybody ordered,
- 50:27Speaker 4: which one sounded the best. That way, you wouldn't have
- 50:30Speaker 4: the order envy because it would be somebody else. That
- 50:33Speaker 4: is another thing that's kind of weird where people think
- 50:37Speaker 4: they have to It doesn't make any doesn't make any
- 50:41Speaker 4: sense because if you're at someone's house, exactly everybody's eating
- 50:44Speaker 4: the same thing, like your dinner with your family each night, everybody.
- 50:47Speaker 5: Getting the same thing spaghetti.
- 50:48Speaker 4: Now, yeah, like that's fine that I didn't realize there
- 50:52Speaker 4: was a rule. Yeah, everybody had to get something different.
- 50:55Speaker 8: It's not a rule, but I think if there's just
- 50:56Speaker 8: two of you at dinner, you should get something different
- 50:59Speaker 8: so that you could.
- 51:00Speaker 4: Shareh Well, we're going to test out Sammy's privilege. It
- 51:05Speaker 4: comes up a lot.
- 51:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:07Speaker 7: Ok.
- 51:08Speaker 4: More recently, we're talking about how kids get gifts for
- 51:12Speaker 4: everything every little like Eastern.
- 51:15Speaker 2: Kids are getting gifts.
- 51:16Speaker 4: She's like, well, yeah, summer, yeah right, that's when you
- 51:19Speaker 4: get blah blah blah blah blah. We're like, this was
- 51:21Speaker 4: your existence. Yeah yeah, oh well my parents never what
- 51:26Speaker 4: it's the part of that. She's just shocked that. You're like,
- 51:28Speaker 4: that's not just how it is, right, Yeah, Like okay,
- 51:31Speaker 4: so things that we already kind of know, right, Well,
- 51:34Speaker 4: here what we're gonna recap, Like, uh, what's your first
- 51:37Speaker 4: car gift?
- 51:37Speaker 2: Did you pay for your car?
- 51:39Speaker 9: I didn't pay for but Greg, it was not a
- 51:43Speaker 9: good car.
- 51:43Speaker 2: I mean, did you pay for the car? I did not?
- 51:46Speaker 4: Okay, you did not have the insurance?
- 51:48Speaker 7: No?
- 51:48Speaker 2: Okay, not the gas either, of course.
- 51:51Speaker 7: Not.
- 51:53Speaker 2: Did you did you play did you play travel sports?
- 51:55Speaker 4: Cheerleading?
- 51:56Speaker 2: She did all that? I did cheer yeah right?
- 51:59Speaker 7: Uh?
- 51:59Speaker 4: New close or gifts for every holiday I.
- 52:02Speaker 9: Mean Eastern one.
- 52:06Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Easter, like everybody gets gifts on flag Day.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:10Speaker 4: And then you know, did you ever live in a
- 52:13Speaker 4: in an apartment?
- 52:14Speaker 2: Right?
- 52:15Speaker 5: What do you mean?
- 52:16Speaker 7: Well?
- 52:16Speaker 4: No, I mean like no, I mean like where it's.
- 52:18Speaker 2: Like growing up? Did you ever live in an apartment? Yeah?
- 52:21Speaker 2: Oh no, you see you're right, yeah, yeah, no please see.
- 52:27Speaker 9: I hear it now.
- 52:28Speaker 2: But we're.
- 52:31Speaker 9: Squeeze.
- 52:32Speaker 4: If you have more than one kid, see, you just
- 52:35Speaker 4: don't live there.
- 52:38Speaker 9: I was the third kid, so they were in Actually no,
- 52:41Speaker 9: never mind.
- 52:42Speaker 2: To So I mean when Tyler grew up with him
- 52:45Speaker 2: plus his five brothers and his parents, they lived in
- 52:48Speaker 2: a seven bedroom house.
- 52:49Speaker 4: Is that where you lived, Tyler? Was it a seven
- 52:51Speaker 4: bedroom house or was it something else?
- 52:53Speaker 7: No?
- 52:54Speaker 2: This thing was three bed two baths. We fit six
- 52:56Speaker 2: boys in two bedrooms. There was four in one room
- 52:59Speaker 2: with two. But I would just go to sleep in
- 53:01Speaker 2: the playground or something. All right.
- 53:05Speaker 4: So again this is just a test of Sammy's privilege,
- 53:08Speaker 4: because I don't think she's aware of it. Yeah, you
- 53:10Speaker 4: know what I mean, Like sometimes it's it's all about
- 53:12Speaker 4: like just getting an awareness.
- 53:14Speaker 9: I'm not different from my friends.
- 53:16Speaker 2: Yeah and no, no, that's that was the argument I
- 53:20Speaker 2: was just about to bring up for you, Sammy. It's like,
- 53:23Speaker 2: if you weren't exposed to anything else, then would you
- 53:26Speaker 2: know you wouldn't know?
- 53:27Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, so uh yeah, we're gonna have Sammy's privilege
- 53:31Speaker 4: check Okay, coming up next may maybe an eye opener
- 53:34Speaker 4: for her. Let's see just how privilege Sammy is. To
- 53:43Speaker 4: pay for your own gas was not allowed.
- 53:49Speaker 2: There's one of my questions. It was illegal. So would
- 53:52Speaker 2: you have a gas card or just do you give
- 53:53Speaker 2: you cash?
- 53:54Speaker 11: Or well there was I mean we just kind of
- 53:56Speaker 11: had my dad's debit card and would that and then party, well,
- 54:00Speaker 11: check off the list who we would have to pass
- 54:02Speaker 11: it around because you know, he paid for all of
- 54:05Speaker 11: our guests and there's four kids.
- 54:06Speaker 2: She has to stop talking because you got to get
- 54:08Speaker 2: to your list. Wow.
- 54:12Speaker 4: Man.
- 54:13Speaker 2: But like whever had it.
- 54:14Speaker 11: Had to run errands too. If they had it, it'd
- 54:16Speaker 11: be like, oh, who was the card? And if you
- 54:17Speaker 11: had it, you had to go to like the grocery.
- 54:19Speaker 9: Store pick up whatever they needed.
- 54:20Speaker 4: But this was always part of the discussion. When it
- 54:22Speaker 4: came time to you're gonna start driving, it's like, oh, well,
- 54:26Speaker 4: you're gonna have a car, payment and your insurance and
- 54:28Speaker 4: your gas. That was always part of like all right,
- 54:30Speaker 4: well I would have to get this paper route or
- 54:32Speaker 4: whatever whatever you did, Yeah, babysit, or get some job
- 54:36Speaker 4: at the record store, the grocery store.
- 54:39Speaker 2: What I remember I shared in h in the nineties
- 54:43Speaker 2: when I had to get my own insurance because my
- 54:45Speaker 2: parents were like, you're not gonna be under our insurance
- 54:48Speaker 2: at all. I was paying six hundred dollars a month
- 54:51Speaker 2: for the insurance insane in the nineties. In the nineties,
- 54:56Speaker 2: that sounds it was pretty much all my paycheck. All right, Sammy,
- 55:01Speaker 2: here we go. Where did you go on vacation as
- 55:03Speaker 2: a kid.
- 55:05Speaker 9: We used to do a ski trip.
- 55:07Speaker 2: Okay, ski trip.
- 55:09Speaker 9: Where Vermont, Vermont and I lived in Massachusetts.
- 55:13Speaker 4: Okay, all right, now any other places, like did you?
- 55:16Speaker 7: So?
- 55:16Speaker 4: It was always like you had to go travel somewhere
- 55:20Speaker 4: for vacation, not like staycation kind of stuff, like we
- 55:25Speaker 4: just go, like, you know, somewhere around town.
- 55:35Speaker 2: I need you to be complete. Here's the thing you
- 55:37Speaker 2: have to You have to be completely honest this. Yes,
- 55:41Speaker 2: you can't be hiding stuff from this. This is for
- 55:44Speaker 2: your benefit as well. At our beach house, okay.
- 55:51Speaker 9: The beach house was technically my grandma is that she
- 55:55Speaker 9: with her sister.
- 55:55Speaker 4: So the family beach house. Did you guys have asked
- 56:00Speaker 4: did you have a family crash?
- 56:01Speaker 7: No?
- 56:01Speaker 11: But I mean because it was an older house and
- 56:04Speaker 11: so we had to go to the laundry mat to
- 56:06Speaker 11: do laundry.
- 56:09Speaker 2: At the beach house.
- 56:10Speaker 11: At the beach house and there was no cable, so
- 56:13Speaker 11: we had to go. We could only rent VHS.
- 56:15Speaker 2: Tapes at the video store to watch latest. So what
- 56:18Speaker 2: age was? What age? Was your first airplane trip?
- 56:22Speaker 9: Probably seven or eight to Disney World.
- 56:26Speaker 4: Yeah, in Orlando, So that was the first time you
- 56:32Speaker 4: were on a plane. Yes, okay, back to the ski vacations.
- 56:35Speaker 2: Did you own your own skis?
- 56:37Speaker 11: Yes?
- 56:38Speaker 2: We owned.
- 56:40Speaker 4: You done.
- 56:41Speaker 2: That's a good question, dude.
- 56:42Speaker 4: We went all the time and every time I've gone
- 56:45Speaker 4: skiing and we allays just rent skis or that was
- 56:47Speaker 4: and that was like either yeah, that was like part
- 56:49Speaker 4: of like a like a thing that we also like
- 56:51Speaker 4: they would do these uh like trips for like the
- 56:56Speaker 4: township would run these trips to like a Phillies game
- 57:00Speaker 4: or to you know, the like some little ski place
- 57:03Speaker 4: just into Pennsylvania.
- 57:06Speaker 2: Not to veil to the very diverse Vermont.
- 57:09Speaker 4: Yeah, yes, and they pile everybody like you know, they
- 57:12Speaker 4: pile everybody on these like school buses.
- 57:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it wasn't like.
- 57:17Speaker 8: Did you guys have a ski swap? Remember there was
- 57:19Speaker 8: like a traveling like market. It would come to town
- 57:23Speaker 8: and they would sell ski stuff. It was called a
- 57:25Speaker 8: ski swap.
- 57:27Speaker 2: All right.
- 57:27Speaker 4: Uh so you talk about these kids, how many how
- 57:30Speaker 4: many siblings?
- 57:31Speaker 7: You have?
- 57:31Speaker 4: Total of four kids?
- 57:32Speaker 12: Yes?
- 57:33Speaker 2: Did everybody have their own room?
- 57:36Speaker 9: Not until I was a freshman in high school?
- 57:39Speaker 11: Okay, so mostly mostly no, because my oldest sister was
- 57:44Speaker 11: like a senior at that point too.
- 57:45Speaker 10: By the time.
- 57:46Speaker 5: Did you share the room?
- 57:48Speaker 11: I shared a room consistently until I was eleven until
- 57:53Speaker 11: we moved, and then they kind of let us switch
- 57:56Speaker 11: off until we got into our house. So there was
- 57:59Speaker 11: only a year too until we moved that I didn't
- 58:01Speaker 11: have to share other house.
- 58:03Speaker 4: Do your parents still pay for any of your existing
- 58:05Speaker 4: bills like a cell phone or No?
- 58:08Speaker 9: They really don't, I promise.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, your dad doesn't fill up the car when
- 58:12Speaker 2: you come home? No, okay, yeah, it just didn't.
- 58:14Speaker 4: Okay, so there's no like, there's no existing stipend of
- 58:18Speaker 4: any kind of Okay.
- 58:19Speaker 2: What's what's the last big bill your parents paid for you?
- 58:25Speaker 2: I don't know the Force attorney? Nope, did your parents
- 58:28Speaker 2: ever open the bill using your SO security number?
- 58:32Speaker 7: You?
- 58:36Speaker 5: Did your credit get ruined before you were kindergarten?
- 58:39Speaker 2: Did you have a savings account then you looked at
- 58:42Speaker 2: it the next day and it had no money in it,
- 58:43Speaker 2: and you're like, how did that happen?
- 58:45Speaker 7: No?
- 58:45Speaker 9: No, but my dad never mind.
- 58:49Speaker 2: What he made you one.
- 58:51Speaker 11: No, because when we were younger, like you know, college
- 58:54Speaker 11: age ish, like we were all all of our accounts
- 58:57Speaker 11: were connected, if you will, so we were signed up
- 58:59Speaker 11: under ours.
- 59:00Speaker 9: They could see our accounts, right, a custodial account.
- 59:04Speaker 4: Did you have to pay for any of your your
- 59:06Speaker 4: school or do your your siblings had to pay for
- 59:08Speaker 4: any college or have to get loans?
- 59:11Speaker 9: My brother did. My brother had to get loans because
- 59:13Speaker 9: his school is more expensive.
- 59:15Speaker 2: She did go to community college, so that's I did
- 59:17Speaker 2: go to community college. Yeah. I want to ask, like,
- 59:19Speaker 2: during that time when you weren't paying for gas and
- 59:21Speaker 2: you were going around town, when you would go out
- 59:25Speaker 2: to restaurants with your friends, was that out of your
- 59:27Speaker 2: own money or how did you pay for those meals?
- 59:29Speaker 9: It just depended one.
- 59:32Speaker 2: But you weren't allowed to work. So right, well, how
- 59:35Speaker 2: do you have money to buy those meals? Did you
- 59:37Speaker 2: have an allowance?
- 59:37Speaker 9: School allowance give me money?
- 59:40Speaker 4: Was it an allowance? No, it wasn't allowed. It was
- 59:42Speaker 4: just as needed.
- 59:43Speaker 2: It was just a card as needed get an allowance.
- 59:48Speaker 4: So how did you know how much money you had
- 59:49Speaker 4: to spend? You just spend whatever you wanted.
- 59:52Speaker 11: Yeah, but I also wasn't like I wasn't going shopping
- 59:55Speaker 11: and stuff. But if I went to the movies, I'd
- 59:57Speaker 11: be like, Dad, I'm going to the movies.
- 59:59Speaker 9: Like, that's fine to the card.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: Second, second, what was the youngest that you used a
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: credit card or debit card of any kind?
- 1:00:09Speaker 9: It wouldn't have been until I could drive because I
- 1:00:13Speaker 9: need it for gas. That would have been the start.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: And I just want to remind you saying that this
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: is not a bad thing. They are so yeah, most
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: of it, you know. Yeah.
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: So wait, so you weren't you didn't have an allowed
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: you weren't given it an allowance. No, but you didn't
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: really like so you didn't have a spending What was
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: how the spending work? Like if you wanted to buy
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: something like you went to the mall with your friends,
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: and it's not like like sure, Top, I'm sorry, Top,
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: like you wanted it. Howld that work?
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:00:48Speaker 9: I didn't do that too much. But if I that,
- 1:00:50Speaker 9: I wouldn't call my dad and so, Hey, I found
- 1:00:52Speaker 9: this really cute, Top, I really want to get it.
- 1:00:55Speaker 11: It's this much and I'm going out tonight and I
- 1:00:59Speaker 11: don't really shop that much and I really need it.
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: You go, Okay, daughter, white daughter.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: When you would call him, how would you address him?
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: No?
- 1:01:08Speaker 9: I just called him dad.
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: Dad.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: I mean at least at least she would call Okay. Yeah,
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: I don't.
- 1:01:16Speaker 9: Yeah, I didn't just run around spending of the four kids?
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: Where do you fall?
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: Number three?
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: Three?
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: Okay? And did he treat everybody like that? Yeah?
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: Were one of your parents home when he got home
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: from school? Was there always like a parent home?
- 1:01:30Speaker 9: Not always mostly my mom.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Because she was not getting her nails done or something,
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: or it was what a wife sort of situation.
- 1:01:38Speaker 11: I mean, yeah, sometimes, but she worked for for There
- 1:01:44Speaker 11: was probably a five to seven year period where she
- 1:01:47Speaker 11: had a job.
- 1:01:48Speaker 9: Okay, once we were older.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: Did you eat sushi before you were an adult?
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: Mm?
- 1:01:56Speaker 9: When was the first time I had sushi? I was
- 1:01:58Speaker 9: probably no, I think I was nineteen all right.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: When it comes to eating, did you have like a
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: you bring your lunch to school? Like or did you
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: get lunch at school? Did your parents give you the
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: money like buy lunch?
- 1:02:10Speaker 9: Well, it depended on if I wanted what they were
- 1:02:12Speaker 9: serving at lunch.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: That day or was it it was it an option
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: for you every day, like if you wanted to have uh,
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: you know, school lunch every day, they.
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: Would give you money for that.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, probably Yeah. And when you had a school
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: lunch ticket, was it a different color than it was
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: a green and everybody else had red And you're like,
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: why that's right.
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: Yeah, So when you brought your lunch, there were days
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: that you brought your lunch. Was it in did you
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: have like some kind of like fancy lunch box.
- 1:02:41Speaker 9: Or did you say a lunch box?
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: Yeah, like it like a brown bag in it, yeah,
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: until brown bags.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Were cool, Yeah, and then it was kind of lunch box.
- 1:02:50Speaker 9: I remember having an Aladdin one I really.
- 1:02:53Speaker 6: Liked, by the way, she still has a lunch box today,
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: except it's a fancy seventy five dollars Stanley cooler.
- 1:02:59Speaker 9: Yeah, but I that was that was a Christmas present.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Thank you, But going real quick though, do you know
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: what I'm even referencing when it comes to having a
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: different color lunch ticket?
- 1:03:10Speaker 11: What does that mean that either half of it's getting
- 1:03:13Speaker 11: paid for like by the school or the state or
- 1:03:16Speaker 11: whatever it is, or the whole thing is we used
- 1:03:18Speaker 11: to have like some people would have a card where
- 1:03:19Speaker 11: part of it was cut and that meant it was
- 1:03:22Speaker 11: partially paid for and other one kids had like the free.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: And you were not friends with those people.
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: Whatever at her table.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: I mean you're friends, but you wouldn't be seen. We're
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: talking to someone who saw mean girls is like, oh
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: the plastics are right, I get it. Did you have
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: a TV in your room?
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: It was a big take.
- 1:03:49Speaker 8: One guy in his own TV in his room and
- 1:03:51Speaker 8: it was like going to the White House, where are
- 1:03:55Speaker 8: this is insane?
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: It's in your room?
- 1:03:58Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 1:03:58Speaker 11: That was my big thing when you for Christmas, and
- 1:04:01Speaker 11: it was I was probably eight or nine and I
- 1:04:05Speaker 11: got I got a thirteen inch TV and.
- 1:04:08Speaker 9: It was very exciting.
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: But I had a had a VHS connected to it,
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: Greg like Sea Bass had in his basement that had
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: remember you told the TV that had that Yeah, like
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: the combo and to be.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: Fair, it was okay because she was she got really
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: good grades her entire thing, you know, for your school career.
- 1:04:24Speaker 9: Yeah, I was a good kid and I was at
- 1:04:26Speaker 9: the time getting a grade.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: You you did see a single book in high school that.
- 1:04:30Speaker 9: Was high school? I got this over I was still
- 1:04:33Speaker 9: in school.
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: Yeah, well you're doing well in school.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: Good. Yeah. That's carried over like into my parenting. My
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: kids are not allowed to have TV's in their room.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: I thought they did for no reason.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: Which is avorite phones and I pads though, Uh well yeah,
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: but they're not when we go to bed at night
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: during the school year, like my wife takes the phones
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: and stuff like nothing in the nothing in their room.
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: Good.
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, not a lot of that all right.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: See. Uh talked about do you have a pool.
- 1:05:03Speaker 9: Once I was in high school?
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: Yes, above ground or it was ground. Did you ever
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: have a birthday party at a place like where you know,
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: like sky Zone or Chuck E Cheese or got like
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: am like when you had birthday parties with all like
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: for your friends when you were younger, Like.
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: Were they anywhere outside your home?
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: Yeah? Or do you just like go to a park?
- 1:05:29Speaker 9: I had one at a nature sanctuary. Because I was cool.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: Out the whole place.
- 1:05:34Speaker 11: And I had one, I mean, like at the place
- 1:05:37Speaker 11: that we did dance at, you know, one of those
- 1:05:39Speaker 11: kind of birthday parties I had.
- 1:05:42Speaker 9: Oh, there was one where we all went to the
- 1:05:44Speaker 9: salon and got our hair and nails.
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: Were your birthday cakes or the homemade or they bought
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: at the store like store bought like custom store bought.
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: The same kid that had the TV in his room,
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: he had a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. It
- 1:06:00Speaker 8: was my first time going, and his dad gave each
- 1:06:03Speaker 8: kid at the birthday party five dollars to play video games.
- 1:06:06Speaker 8: I thought I was a rock a feller five.
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: Jeff what he got?
- 1:06:13Speaker 7: There?
- 1:06:14Speaker 12: A great text It says, Sammy, isn't that privilege? The
- 1:06:17Speaker 12: rest of y'all are just busted. Did your parents ever
- 1:06:22Speaker 12: make you go to the store to buying cigarettes?
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: No?
- 1:06:26Speaker 9: No, my parents did not smoke.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: Who did you ever get a pair of shoes like
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: payless pay?
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: What? What is that?
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: I'm sure I did, Bogo.
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: I'm sure sure I think you would know.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: What does the inside of a Salvation army look like?
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: We're not there to drop stuff of good will inside?
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Not in the back? They have not the intake ere
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: like costume stuff.
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: What did your what did your shoe carnival DJ sound like?
- 1:06:55Speaker 7: You?
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Guys remember those? There was a DJ.
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: Inside the shoe carnival.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: There was, Yes, that's so bad.
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: You played music.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Did you know there's such a thing as a secondhand bakery?
- 1:07:04Speaker 7: What? Yeah?
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh yeah the thrift stores?
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: Yeah, the Little Pie Salvation Army was the thrift store
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: for Britt.
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: Yeah, man, so much.
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: I mean we already kind of knew going into it,
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: but I mean, yeah, I mean probably, yeah, it sounds
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: pretty sounds pretty privileged.
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: Yeah, so he said, I knew Sammy was white, but damn.
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: Okay, Like, uh, based on what we've heard, and I
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: want everybody to be thinking about this, and I'll ask
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: everybody for uh scale one to ten. And again Port
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: Morgan's not here to participate. She loves all right, So
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: on a scale of one to ten, how privileged after
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: we just heard about how privileged would you call Sammy's childhood?
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: Now you can text over two to nine, eight seven,
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: and then we'll see what the the text says. Then
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: we'll go around the room and and you too, you
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: have to you have to judge your own what give
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: yourself a one to ten score on the privilege of
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: your childhood? Okay, I still can't believe that she just
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: had a card for gas.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: God, I knew a girl. I dated a girl who
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: had that, and she was she was only child, mommy,
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: daddy's girl, all this stuff, the classic.
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: Would you consider yourself the boy doesn't count? Would you
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: consider yourself like the favorite daughter?
- 1:08:24Speaker 9: Oh? I tell my parents I'm the favorite all the time,
- 1:08:29Speaker 9: and they've accepted it. I think I'm the favorite.
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, no, No, my mom had me go to
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: the seven eleven to buy cigarettes. I think it was
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: like seventy five cents because there was always a quarter
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: left over to play a video game. Oh sweet, Yeah
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: there was like the early eighties. Yeah, my wife got
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: sent to the store to go buy her dad's cigarette.
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: Did you send a note a cigarette?
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: No, because they knew who she was.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: I knew who the dad was.
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: It was like it was a corner store right down
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: the street, and so just you know, send her up there,
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: and yeah, it's all it went.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: We had to get are from my buddy Joe.
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: Same deal, like you had to go.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: Pick up cigarettes. Wow for his mom.
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: That seems so yeah, eight, seven, seven, forty on a
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: scale one to ten, how privileged would you say based
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: on what you heard Sammy's childhood was? And then we'll
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: get the results. We'll tabulate and give those results out
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: for the break here on Theody Show. Hete the Wit Show.
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: We'll be back in a sec.
- 1:09:26Speaker 7: What show.
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: So he gave Sammy privileged quiz, asking her different questions
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: based on her childhood, not her her current life. But
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: like when she was growing up, We've heard so many
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: different things, like talking about getting gifts from Easter. Yeah,
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: oh yeah, maybe get like not.
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: Chocolate get right?
- 1:09:44Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: Somebody on the tech said to me, the rich kids
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: had braces. We used to call the Dale Old bread Store,
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: the Hostess Outlet, the used bread store. Dude, that was
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: an exciting day.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: I missed that. Ye bring it back.
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: We used to cross the bridge into Mexico to get
- 1:10:01Speaker 4: cartons of cigarettes with my mom because they were cheaper
- 1:10:04Speaker 4: and they would give you free matches.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: Yeah, pretty cool. I used to get my mom's cigarettes.
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: You also would take my tooth fairy money to buy
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: them sometimes. Horrible, y'all sound so jealous. Good for Sammy's
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: dad to be successful. And generous enough to provide such
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: a good life for his kids.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: Real, absolutely, absolutely, it's just being.
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: The thing is that it's an awareness, you know, like
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: when something good happens, whether it happens all the time
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: like Sammy's did, or like every once in a while
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: something really cool would happen, just to be able to
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: like be aware of it and acknowledge it. Yeah, right,
- 1:10:40Speaker 4: that it wasn't just you know, this person says she
- 1:10:44Speaker 4: wasn't privileged, but her time period and Woodies were very different.
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: Times changed as someone Sammy's age in New York I
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: had similar upbringing and we weren't rich. That's just the times.
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: And no, that's not no, see that's the thing. There
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: are kids today who don't get gas cards. But this
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: is this is the lack of maybe awareness and you know,
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: God bless you. Not your fault necessarily because like you
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: just don't have an appreciation or realize you weren't exposed
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: to it.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: That's all.
- 1:11:10Speaker 9: Oh, you know, but other things in an easter basket
- 1:11:12Speaker 9: besides candy is a time.
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: Period thing, I don't think. So that's just you either
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: have money for that kind of stuff, you know, or
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: you don't. Either. There's some there's some kids that don't
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: have any choice. As soon as they're old enough to work,
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: they're told they got to go work. Yeah, to kind
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: of chip in, somebody said, so Sammy, speaking of which,
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: you weren't allowed to work as a teenager, what does
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: that mean?
- 1:11:33Speaker 7: All right?
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: Six five? I was a question about that, right, So
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: I was.
- 1:11:37Speaker 9: Not allowed to work.
- 1:11:38Speaker 11: We were told that school and essentially cheer for me
- 1:11:43Speaker 11: was my work. And my dad would say, you have
- 1:11:45Speaker 11: the rest of your life to work, don't start now.
- 1:11:48Speaker 11: But being in an activity in school and participating in
- 1:11:52Speaker 11: school was not an option I had to. I chose cheer,
- 1:11:56Speaker 11: but I would have had to do soccer or be
- 1:11:58Speaker 11: in band or do something something other than just school.
- 1:12:01Speaker 9: Yeah, because I wasn't.
- 1:12:02Speaker 11: We weren't allowed to like just go to school and
- 1:12:05Speaker 11: then do whatever we wanted with our time and go
- 1:12:07Speaker 11: hang out with our friends and not have a job
- 1:12:09Speaker 11: and not participate in anything, because that's when you start
- 1:12:11Speaker 11: doing shady things.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: Did How did you learn the value of a dollar?
- 1:12:17Speaker 7: Like?
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: Where did that come from? If he didn't have an allowance,
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: you weren't expected to do you know, whatever to earn
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: money so that you have money to spend to know that.
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: Oh, I had to do X, Y and Z.
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: I had to know seven seven people's laws to be
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: able to afford this whatever CD that I wanted.
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: Yeah, probably when you started working, right exactly.
- 1:12:33Speaker 9: I still worked once I was in college, I know.
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: But you didn't learn the value of a dollar until college.
- 1:12:41Speaker 9: I mean, I think I still did because I still
- 1:12:43Speaker 9: had to ask my dad for stuff and that. But
- 1:12:46Speaker 9: I know that sounds like sell me.
- 1:12:48Speaker 11: But at the same time, it's like, is it worth
- 1:12:50Speaker 11: it to go ask him and do Like It's not
- 1:12:52Speaker 11: like I just ran around with a card and nobody
- 1:12:54Speaker 11: questioned anything and I wasn't.
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: She learned the value of asking.
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: Okay, So on a scale of on a scale of
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: one ten, what did you give yourself?
- 1:13:02Speaker 11: I gave myself a seven, a seven, yes, and I
- 1:13:06Speaker 11: had initially put eight, but I changed it to a
- 1:13:09Speaker 11: seven because you guys don't let me explain. But in
- 1:13:13Speaker 11: I I got a car in two thousand.
- 1:13:16Speaker 9: And five, and that car was a nineteen ninety one car.
- 1:13:20Speaker 7: So it was.
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: And I know you guys are like, oh, it was
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: old and free.
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: I know, but I had it wasn't cool.
- 1:13:27Speaker 11: You don't understand most of my friend's cars were freeze
- 1:13:31Speaker 11: and for free for them, and we're not as old
- 1:13:33Speaker 11: as mine.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, well under pressure, you had the junker. Yeah yeah,
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: all right.
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: We got the average on the text as well, which
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: we're going to give you here in a second menace.
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: What did you What did you give her on a
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: scale one to ten on the privileged scale?
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: I also gave her a seven, a seven, Okay, now, okay,
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: I mean she did have a pretty awesome life, but
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: it wasn't like her privilege wasn't at a level where
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: she was vacationing in Bora Bora. It was only at
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: you know, the family beach house technically, not our and
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: her family. Her free car wasn't like a Mercedes or
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: BMW or anything like that. So I can't put her
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: out eight or nine or ten because it wasn't like
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: this extremely lavish. It was a good a good life,
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: but it wasn't an extremely lavish lifestyle.
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: I had the same sort of thought as you. I
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: didn't go as low as seven. That's why I gave
- 1:14:26Speaker 4: her a nine point six. I couldn't quite give it
- 1:14:30Speaker 4: a ten, but I gave her a nine point six
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: for those reasons. Again, you gotta think what percentage of
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: kids correct had what she had. It's probably less than
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: ten percent, less than five percent. And also this is
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: as close to sixty nine as I can get jet, but.
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: She wasn't at a nine point six. I'm thinking, like,
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: kids are taking private jets somewhere to go.
- 1:14:48Speaker 4: That's why that would have been ten. That would have
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: been the ten.
- 1:14:51Speaker 6: How man's that's almost a ten, but that's point oh oh, well,
- 1:14:54Speaker 6: we talked about the normal distribution.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: Point one percent of kids have a private jet. You know,
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: I'm always bad at percent. What did you give her?
- 1:15:02Speaker 6: I would Mine was eight point five eight point five
- 1:15:05Speaker 6: And because again when she said, oh, I have a
- 1:15:06Speaker 6: crappy car that she paid nothing for, never guess was
- 1:15:10Speaker 6: does she ever? Was she ever out in the driveway
- 1:15:12Speaker 6: changing her own own oil.
- 1:15:13Speaker 11: At the age of fifteen like I was, No, of
- 1:15:15Speaker 11: course not, and my dad would have killed me because
- 1:15:18Speaker 11: I would have got oil all over the driveway and.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: The paper stone driveway by the way, the whole like, oh,
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: school is your job?
- 1:15:25Speaker 6: Well, again, she didn't read a book in high school,
- 1:15:27Speaker 6: so her dad wasn't making it was really following up
- 1:15:29Speaker 6: on the whole go to school, you know, as.
- 1:15:32Speaker 9: You know, when I was a senior, thank you crappy
- 1:15:35Speaker 9: school and.
- 1:15:35Speaker 6: You you were you were not following. Again, this has
- 1:15:37Speaker 6: to go with accountability. When you don't have to work
- 1:15:39Speaker 6: for what you earned for what you get, that accountability
- 1:15:41Speaker 6: bridge is severed.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: Greg. I went with an eight.
- 1:15:44Speaker 8: Okay, the one thing I'm going to give her some
- 1:15:47Speaker 8: slack on and I agree with the texture, and you're
- 1:15:50Speaker 8: not being intellectually honest if you disagree the TV in
- 1:15:53Speaker 8: the bedroom for you as a kid, to me, massive deal.
- 1:15:57Speaker 8: Nowadays there's TVs and bathrooms, there's TV's everywhere. There were
- 1:16:01Speaker 8: you know, very common, but the TV thing pushed me
- 1:16:04Speaker 8: over the edge, like that's crazy. Everything that you did
- 1:16:06Speaker 8: is very lucky and nice.
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: Eight.
- 1:16:10Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm kind of on on the menace track here.
- 1:16:13Speaker 5: I think it was an incredibly privileged life for someone
- 1:16:16Speaker 5: in the middle class, upper middle class. But like you said,
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: she's not like spending every Christmas in London or whatever.
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: So for that reason I'm giving her a seven and
- 1:16:25Speaker 5: a half.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: All right, seven and a half.
- 1:16:27Speaker 12: Jeff g had started out at eight, Sammy, but when
- 1:16:30Speaker 12: you said the two words beach house, it went up to.
- 1:16:36Speaker 6: People in the seven camboris do you think twenty five
- 1:16:39Speaker 6: percent of kids have it better than her?
- 1:16:40Speaker 10: No, not at all.
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: That's how math works.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: Actually, it's actually wally less than that even, but yeah,
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: it's really all right.
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: So Gina, looking on the text, what do you show listeners?
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: You guys had your say averaged out two.
- 1:16:54Speaker 5: And there's a there's a point in it. Eight point
- 1:16:57Speaker 5: seven four.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: Eight point seven four sounds about right? Yeah, all right,
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: do you hear it?
- 1:17:02Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:17:03Speaker 9: Yeah, I had a great life. I have a great life.
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: Yeah, eight seven seven forty four. What he text over
- 1:17:07Speaker 4: to two? Two nine eight seven more? What he shows next?
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: Head?
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: So go sport, sit Jeff ge all.

- 1:17:25Speaker 2: That was my gears for the weekend.
- 1:17:27Speaker 12: That was I text Woody and then as soon as
- 1:17:29Speaker 12: I text him, literally a guy hit a home run
- 1:17:31Speaker 12: and yeah it was over Ben, So yeah, I was
- 1:17:33Speaker 12: a bummer.
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: It's my fault, yea, why'd you do that? Yeah?
- 1:17:36Speaker 12: Dodgers back home tonight taking on the Tampa Bay Race.

- 1:17:53Speaker 12: Sixty three arrests for stabbings and one shooting at all
- 1:17:56Speaker 12: the activity afterwards and one happy birthday boy, your.
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: Birthday, the next one of my birthday roll and waiting

- 1:18:09Speaker 2: go next.

- 1:18:42Speaker 12: at SOFI And that's quick sports right here on the
- 1:18:44Speaker 12: Woody Show.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: I thank you very much, Jeff Show, and into another
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: new hour.
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: What E Greg Man is GI Brand phones open eight
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: seven to seven forty four wood He text over to
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: two to nine eight seven.
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: Cheers to Sawyer Sparks.
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: He is an eighteen year old umpire from Bakersfield, California,
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: and uh, he went viral for his like he's over
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: the top energetic. He was a little league umpire, you know.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: And so if you remember the.
- 1:19:26Speaker 4: Movie Naked gunyah, oh yeah, yeah, Lieutenant Dragon, and he
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: was like doing the moonwalk on the strike and uh
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: huh splits.
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: And doing doing the dirt.
- 1:19:37Speaker 4: Yeah, so he was he was very like over the top,
- 1:19:40Speaker 4: you know, with his closet a little league game. So
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: you know, no big deal anyway about himself.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: I got it.
- 1:19:44Speaker 4: Well, went went viral and everything else. And so he
- 1:19:47Speaker 4: got called up to the Savannah Bananas, oh to ump
- 1:19:51Speaker 4: a banana ball game and he just he just did that.
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: That's cool name.
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: His name is Sawyer Sparks and yeah, watch his videos
- 1:19:59Speaker 4: and stuff. It's just you know, it's it's dumb, it's fun,
- 1:20:01Speaker 4: it's whatever.
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: I mean, it's perfect for Savannah, Banana It's perfect. I
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: like that.
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: I don't know that guy's name, yellow suit guy. Oh,
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: the guy that started every the main dude. Yeah yeah,
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: but every time I wanted to.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: Him my name, but I yeah, I see his interviews
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: all the time. Every time I see him in the interview.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: Man that everything is really cool. J Cole Jesse. Yeah yeah,
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: that dude's cool. Man so, and the games are legit fun.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: When you've never been to a game, I've just seen
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: him on on TV.
- 1:20:28Speaker 5: It's hard to get those tickets.
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: But cheer to Sawyer Sparks, the eighteen year old umpire
- 1:20:34Speaker 4: who got called up to Banana Ball. I think it
- 1:20:36Speaker 4: was just like a one like a one game thing.
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: But yeah, they kind of capitalized on something on a moment,
- 1:20:41Speaker 4: the viral moment. Uh jeers to the basketball and hockey
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: seasons too long. Yeah, well, the fact that both of
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: these sports just wrapped up is ridiculous. Yeah, like it's crazy,
- 1:20:57Speaker 4: but I love hockey, I do. I like baseball, same category. Right,
- 1:21:02Speaker 4: it's just too long. They could easily lose thirty games.
- 1:21:07Speaker 6: I've said every sport could lose twenty five percent. Of
- 1:21:09Speaker 6: its games easy, except for the NFL, except that what
- 1:21:12Speaker 6: he has his problems with that. But I think in general,
- 1:21:14Speaker 6: because I've just I've I've been I've been trained not
- 1:21:17Speaker 6: to care about any sport until the playoffs.
- 1:21:19Speaker 4: Even football.
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: There's only sexually games only seventeen seventeen games. There used
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: to only be twelve. There used only be fourteen. Yeah no,
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: and then they could go back to twelve and it
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: would be so much because I don't care about I
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: don't care.
- 1:21:29Speaker 6: About games four through fourteen because it's just it's just nothing.
- 1:21:33Speaker 6: It's the middle of the season. It's nothing.
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: Yeah, basketball, dude, an eternity that in the last ninety
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: seconds of any game that take five hours? Yeah you
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: know so yeah, so don't believe that. Just the fact that,
- 1:21:47Speaker 4: like there's no time and I feel, even as a
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: hockey fan, there's no time to really miss hockey. It
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: just ended give me time to miss you.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: I wish your ideas to make it more popular. What's
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: more people into it?
- 1:21:59Speaker 4: Well, it's it's gained some popularity. I mean not by
- 1:22:03Speaker 4: leaps and bounds, but way were popular.
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: Think about who's winning the Cups.
- 1:22:06Speaker 6: It's all Florida and Carolina like this South, the South
- 1:22:09Speaker 6: where hockey had no fan base twenty five years ago,
- 1:22:12Speaker 6: it has been growing.
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: And by the way, uh, cheers to my son who
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: made the high school hockey team. So he tried out
- 1:22:20Speaker 4: the last couple of years, didn't make it. It was
- 1:22:22Speaker 4: really you know, bummed out. Tried again this year, and
- 1:22:24Speaker 4: so it's kind of like working at you know, getting
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: better and improving on the things he needed to improve on. See,
- 1:22:29Speaker 4: he did have a disadvantage, so he not privileged. I
- 1:22:31Speaker 4: wouldn't sign him up for travel hockey, which is where
- 1:22:34Speaker 4: that's how a lot of the kids get noticed by
- 1:22:36Speaker 4: the high school coaches and things like that, where does
- 1:22:38Speaker 4: not travel sports parents period.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: So he had to overcome that, you know.
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: But anyway, so he made a team, and I was
- 1:22:46Speaker 4: talking to the coaches as they're doing like the whole
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: uniform fitting and registration and all that kind of stuff,
- 1:22:51Speaker 4: and just talking about how many more because I was surprised, man,
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: there were there were eight ton of kids of these tryouts,
- 1:22:57Speaker 4: a ton, and I was supporting more than I had
- 1:23:00Speaker 4: seen over the last this is the third year now
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: going to these tryouts, way more than I'd seen in
- 1:23:04Speaker 4: any of the other two years. So if you could
- 1:23:06Speaker 4: be objective, would you say your son is very good
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: hockey player. He's good.
- 1:23:11Speaker 8: So he's a good player, have got to be crazy
- 1:23:15Speaker 8: good If he wasn't even making the team until now,
- 1:23:17Speaker 8: well that's shocking him.
- 1:23:19Speaker 4: There's a couple other things at play, and there's always politics,
- 1:23:22Speaker 4: especially and you you could speak to it, Jeff. I
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: mean your kids. Your kids play ball, you know, and
- 1:23:28Speaker 4: very competitively, and it's there's still that element of who
- 1:23:33Speaker 4: you know, who you're involved with, where you've been playing already.
- 1:23:37Speaker 4: There's a lot of that stuff.
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: Yeah, because he he doesn't go to he doesn't go
- 1:23:44Speaker 4: to the high school who has the team he's in
- 1:23:48Speaker 4: the district because he goes to a different school, so
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: he's not at that school he's at. And also like
- 1:23:55Speaker 4: he doesn't play on that traveling team. That gets a
- 1:23:58Speaker 4: lot of uh, there's other kids who are trying out
- 1:24:01Speaker 4: for not just that team, but then some of the
- 1:24:03Speaker 4: other local travel teams, and the parents are saying things
- 1:24:06Speaker 4: to the coaches like, well, if menaces to make this team,
- 1:24:10Speaker 4: we're gonna go play for blah blah blah blah blah,
- 1:24:12Speaker 4: kind of putting that pressure on the coaches. To make
- 1:24:15Speaker 4: a decision. And by the way, the coaches hate that
- 1:24:17Speaker 4: because they're like, well, why don't want somebody who's not
- 1:24:19Speaker 4: necessarily committed to this team? And they're basically just forcing.
- 1:24:23Speaker 4: It's this whole like nil mentality, you know that that's
- 1:24:27Speaker 4: going on in sports now, where it's like, all right,
- 1:24:29Speaker 4: what are you gonna give me? What are you gonna
- 1:24:31Speaker 4: give me?
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: And if you know, I'm gonna go to the.
- 1:24:32Speaker 4: Trol into the whatever portal and I'm gonna go over,
- 1:24:35Speaker 4: you are like, yeah, it's we're really talking about high
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: school hockey. It's crazy.
- 1:24:40Speaker 12: Every sport like that travels AAU hockey, baseball, it's a
- 1:24:44Speaker 12: money maker.
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it's you know because uh I, I forgot what
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: statistic it was, but in America that we have all
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: of our kids going to more practices and doing more
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: like games that don't even matter just because they make
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: money off of them. Yep.
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: Everywhere else they're not going to this many practices or
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: doing you know, this many games. It's just like a
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: money making machine. Yeah.
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: Anyway, the jeers would be basketball, professional basketball, and hockey
- 1:25:12Speaker 4: season just too damn long, never ended.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: Yeah, just just too damn long.
- 1:25:16Speaker 4: Steevess cheers and jeers well, cheers two professional.
- 1:25:20Speaker 6: Basketball now actually yes, Via and Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports.
- 1:25:26Speaker 6: This was during the game whatever the game was, Game two,
- 1:25:30Speaker 6: whatever it was, where the where the Knicks were way down,
- 1:25:31Speaker 6: twenty nine points down, and the odds on like you know,
- 1:25:35Speaker 6: all the betting sites swung h no. Game three, I
- 1:25:38Speaker 6: guess swung so far in favor of like the of
- 1:25:42Speaker 6: the Spurs winning at all, to the point that the
- 1:25:44Speaker 6: Knicks were now underdogs. And he put it out, Hey, guys,
- 1:25:47Speaker 6: the the Knicks just beat the Spurs twice at their home.
- 1:25:51Speaker 6: They're not the underdogs for this whole series. You can
- 1:25:54Speaker 6: get like two and a half.
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: To one odds on them right now at this moment,
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: and I did.
- 1:26:00Speaker 6: And by the end of that game they were back
- 1:26:01Speaker 6: to like twice the like I already doubled my money
- 1:26:03Speaker 6: by the end of that game where they made the
- 1:26:04Speaker 6: comeback because they was game four whatever anyway, and so
- 1:26:08Speaker 6: it's just like it's but that's that's the thing about
- 1:26:10Speaker 6: these instant betting markets, which, by the way, cal Sheen
- 1:26:13Speaker 6: not a sponsor of ce Best, but could be, because
- 1:26:15Speaker 6: that's what I'm making lots of cash. I think it
- 1:26:16Speaker 6: might be a professional better.
- 1:26:19Speaker 13: Well, they said they only have to win like fifty,
- 1:26:21Speaker 13: Well you have to win fifty fifty five fifty seven
- 1:26:24Speaker 13: percent or so profession because you got the Vega essential leads,
- 1:26:28Speaker 13: which you need to account for the house money.
- 1:26:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:26:30Speaker 6: But it was like, it's but because these the betting
- 1:26:32Speaker 6: markets are so now instant and so now swayed by stupid.
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: Reactionary fans like, oh, well, you know the Knicks are
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: done for. They're like, it's it's not about like not.
- 1:26:41Speaker 6: I didn't think the Knicks were gonna win the whole
- 1:26:43Speaker 6: series necessarily, but I saw that two and a half
- 1:26:45Speaker 6: to one was too good to odds to give up
- 1:26:47Speaker 6: like that, dude, as someone.
- 1:26:48Speaker 4: Who was paying half attention. Uh, Like the Spurs, they
- 1:26:53Speaker 4: had these huge leads and they just kept blowing them.
- 1:26:56Speaker 6: They were ahead of like by like on seventy four
- 1:26:58Speaker 6: percent of the actual game time minutes of Spurs right
- 1:27:00Speaker 6: ahead and they lose for one.
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: Just what a collapse. Yeah, But but I saw that.
- 1:27:05Speaker 6: I was like, I wasn't even paying that much attention
- 1:27:07Speaker 6: to the actual games. I was there for, you know,
- 1:27:09Speaker 6: I was in New York to talk to the morons
- 1:27:11Speaker 6: out there. So cheers to the morons for for betting
- 1:27:15Speaker 6: the way they did. Again, Dave Porten, I from barstools,
- 1:27:17Speaker 6: Dual Sports were making me some money. I might I
- 1:27:19Speaker 6: might retire to become a professional gambler years you mighty might. Here,
- 1:27:23Speaker 6: I'm a little bit horse. So I was around disgusting,
- 1:27:26Speaker 6: filthy New Yorkers and they gave me like three days
- 1:27:28Speaker 6: of crud. I was just still getting over uh. So
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: that sucks that the people in New York are so gross.
- 1:27:34Speaker 6: And I think I don't know what happened Greg. I
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: think I may have brought some of the New York
- 1:27:38Speaker 6: filth back with me, because did you.
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: See there was like a cockroach in the lobby? Not one? Two?
- 1:27:44Speaker 7: Oh?
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: Okay, well I saved one for you. No no, no,
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: no no, I don't want to see it. You go
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: take a look.
- 1:27:53Speaker 5: Alive now. But seeing the underside of them is worse, Greg.
- 1:28:01Speaker 4: But Greg has got a sexy leg. Check out the
- 1:28:03Speaker 4: sexy leg.
- 1:28:06Speaker 5: In fact, Sammy, didn't you have to be in charge
- 1:28:08Speaker 5: of something?
- 1:28:08Speaker 9: I made three coffees for Greg this morning, Greg.
- 1:28:14Speaker 4: Stopping God damn it, but he put it put it
- 1:28:18Speaker 4: right on my computer.
- 1:28:20Speaker 5: I don't care, but I'm afraid to knock it off
- 1:28:22Speaker 5: for the Roachel spill out.
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: Why would you knock it off? And what is it
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: gonna do? Come out with a machine gun accidentally spilling
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: the laptoppened laptop I would never touch again.
- 1:28:38Speaker 4: Just somebody somebody grabbed the cups. Greg can have a
- 1:28:41Speaker 4: heart attack.
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: He's not kidding.
- 1:28:44Speaker 10: Cat alright, right, you your screams are brought it back
- 1:29:02Speaker 10: to life.
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: You did it.
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: It was just pretty good.
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: Oh my god.
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: Yeah, Jeers did New York Another films and apparently brought
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: it back to the studio because yeah, I walked to
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: the doors like, oh yeah, show.
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: The other thing that I need to do in the
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: missig just see. Well, we'll see if they pick up.
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: I have no idea. Called number.
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: This is the winner for the trip to Portugal.

- 1:29:48Speaker 4: All right, let's see they pick up.
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: Great. If they don't, they don't, we'll see, all right.
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: Hopefully they okay, are ready to win a huge prize. Yeah,
- 1:29:58Speaker 4: I'm trying like that. I don't I don't here. Uh,
- 1:30:01Speaker 4: I don't even sound like it's trying to connect, doesn't No, No, it.
- 1:30:06Speaker 9: Looks like it now, So you missed me.
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: I can't get to the song right now.
- 1:30:12Speaker 11: Please leave your name and number and call you back
- 1:30:15Speaker 11: as soon as I can.
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: Thanks. Hey, Paris, it's The Woody Show from night seven.

- 1:30:24Speaker 4: winner of the trip to Portugal. Yeah, you're gonna go

- 1:30:31Speaker 4: one Pilots and all those other bands. So congratulations and
- 1:30:34Speaker 4: sorry I didn't get to talk to you in person,
- 1:30:36Speaker 4: but we're number one in Granada Hills.
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: All you do that, all right? Say by to Paris.
- 1:30:45Speaker 4: By all right, there's a there's our voicemail from Paris.
- 1:30:50Speaker 4: Congratulations to Paris Hendricks from Granada Hills. If you know Paris,
- 1:30:54Speaker 4: let her know that she's going to Portugal.
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: The Woody Show, all right.
- 1:31:01Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: Do you want good news or bad news first? Yeah?
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: Good first, the good news first, stop the blow all right.
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: Well, for the last two years, our friend here, Jeff Garcia,
- 1:31:20Speaker 4: has been like an auxiliary player for uh, for the
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: Woody Show, and he's been doing you know stuff, for
- 1:31:25Speaker 4: us like the sports and things right mm hmm. But
- 1:31:29Speaker 4: as of today, Jeff Garcia is the new executive producer
- 1:31:36Speaker 4: for The Woody Show, and uh it is now here
- 1:31:40Speaker 4: full time. So welcome Jeff, Thank you man.
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: Excited to be here. I'm so thankful. It's been a process.
- 1:31:46Speaker 4: It has been a process months and months and months,
- 1:31:49Speaker 4: and nothing nothing else changes, Like there's no there's no
- 1:31:52Speaker 4: other changes. Nobody has left the show. Nobody's leaving the show.
- 1:31:56Speaker 4: There's just a kind of reallocation of resources.
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: So to speak.
- 1:32:01Speaker 4: And for the first time ever in my career of
- 1:32:05Speaker 4: doing a show, I have what they would call like
- 1:32:09Speaker 4: a traditional executive producer because to this point, I've done
- 1:32:14Speaker 4: all of that job plus the host job, you know,
- 1:32:18Speaker 4: and it's it's a lot, and so I just kind
- 1:32:20Speaker 4: of got to the point where you know, it's like,
- 1:32:22Speaker 4: all right, well I'd like to have I would like
- 1:32:24Speaker 4: I would like to have somebody, you know, handle all
- 1:32:27Speaker 4: these other things that I've traditionally just done myself. And
- 1:32:29Speaker 4: that was by my choice. It was it was created
- 1:32:32Speaker 4: in a different way than than most shows operate. But
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: then somebody eventually like said, hey man, you know what
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: you should give this you should give this a chance
- 1:32:39Speaker 4: and and see and see how it works out. So that's, uh,
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: that's what we're doing now. Obviously there have been there
- 1:32:46Speaker 4: are producers on the show, executive producers in different you
- 1:32:48Speaker 4: know forms, doing different things. Now Sea Best he was
- 1:32:51Speaker 4: an executive producer for the show Hated dealing with the
- 1:32:54Speaker 4: sales department and deal with all that kind of As
- 1:32:56Speaker 4: you can.
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: Imagine, he's not really cut out for the back and forth.
- 1:33:00Speaker 10: That's love that I was.
- 1:33:01Speaker 6: I was in the trunk of my car getting a
- 1:33:04Speaker 6: dog costume on to go tape a bit at Taco Bell.
- 1:33:06Speaker 6: I'm giving fifteen emails about it. This this, this, this
- 1:33:09Speaker 6: spot needs to run on the spot.
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: Mean commercial needs to run on the blah blah blah blah.
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: I was like, what do you me doing? You at
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: me doing this or the other thing?
- 1:33:14Speaker 4: Yeah, so, you know, so now he's more of like
- 1:33:17Speaker 4: a creative producer, and he he's got a job that's
- 1:33:19Speaker 4: carved out just for the stuff that he really likes
- 1:33:21Speaker 4: to do. So he goes to New York and he
- 1:33:22Speaker 4: talks to nut job Nicks fans, and he goes to
- 1:33:25Speaker 4: do his cart narks and and things like that. So
- 1:33:27Speaker 4: that that's a position that that has evolved. You know, Sammy,
- 1:33:31Speaker 4: who's been the executive producer up until you know Jeff
- 1:33:34Speaker 4: joining the show. She is still doing all of the
- 1:33:37Speaker 4: other things that she She's great, by the way, at
- 1:33:40Speaker 4: dealing with all this stuff that Sea Bass, which is
- 1:33:42Speaker 4: what you know, made that. Uh that that a nice transition.
- 1:33:45Speaker 5: I cannot imagine Sea Best doing this stuff that Sammy does.
- 1:33:48Speaker 5: I can't put wrap my head around, like, let's be
- 1:33:53Speaker 5: I mean to.
- 1:33:53Speaker 6: Be super transparent, Gina. He also needed a content producer
- 1:33:57Speaker 6: and this was kind of a back door to get
- 1:33:59Speaker 6: me in.
- 1:33:59Speaker 5: That's good, but I mean I can't ipagine you being
- 1:34:01Speaker 5: like the liaison between like well, just administration fail.
- 1:34:05Speaker 2: It's just hey does this did you?
- 1:34:07Speaker 6: Hey Greg, did you record this thing for blah blah
- 1:34:09Speaker 6: blah this coffee Company's like yeah, I did, or I didn't.
- 1:34:11Speaker 4: There's a lot of a lot of organizational stuff. It's
- 1:34:13Speaker 4: kind of like it's also managing the team of people
- 1:34:17Speaker 4: who work on the show and like a lot of
- 1:34:18Speaker 4: the kind of inner workings of things that happen, you know,
- 1:34:21Speaker 4: on a day to day basis. So it's great to
- 1:34:23Speaker 4: have you here, Jeff.
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: It's great to be here. So you're thinking I can't
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: wear a dog costume. I mean you can't. I mean
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: you can just clarify. Do you remember where we're at
- 1:34:32Speaker 2: when we first called Jeff the very professional location we
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: were at?
- 1:34:36Speaker 4: Oh we were at my aunt Chrissy's house. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:34:42Speaker 4: because Menace new Jeff before I did, and so we
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: were talking about, well, who's going to do you know
- 1:34:49Speaker 4: these sports updates and things like that. He's like, oh, dude,
- 1:34:51Speaker 4: you got to talk to Jeff, And what a great suggestion.
- 1:34:55Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:34:55Speaker 2: No, it's been awesome.
- 1:34:56Speaker 7: Man.
- 1:34:56Speaker 12: You guys have the best fans and you guys are
- 1:34:58Speaker 12: all pros. It's like, it's really cool being in the room.
- 1:35:00Speaker 12: It's amazing.
- 1:35:01Speaker 4: Yeah, it's it's great to have you. So that's the
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: good news. Yeah, now the bad news.
- 1:35:07Speaker 2: Hey everyone, it's happy, happy story time.
- 1:35:11Speaker 9: Oh no, it's they shine.
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: Yo. So we haven't done this for a very long time.
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: Happy happy story time.
- 1:35:22Speaker 4: It's uh, it's always tragic news that's just being delivered
- 1:35:26Speaker 4: over very.
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: Kind of happy go lucky music.
- 1:35:30Speaker 4: And this story is a story that everybody's talking about,
- 1:35:35Speaker 4: the bungee jumping story.
- 1:35:36Speaker 5: Oh, a horrible nightmare.
- 1:35:39Speaker 4: I mean, so if you if you haven't heard too
- 1:35:43Speaker 4: much about this. There was a bungee jumping video from
- 1:35:47Speaker 4: Brazil that went viral, and it's this twenty one year
- 1:35:51Speaker 4: old woman who was being carried like overhead by the
- 1:35:56Speaker 4: staff of the bungee jumping operation toward the edge of
- 1:36:00Speaker 4: this bridge for her bungee jump, which is how you.
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: Do that sort of thing. Yeah, right, that's normal.
- 1:36:06Speaker 4: Her very nervous fiance was filming the whole thing and
- 1:36:11Speaker 4: they had her up there. She's like in her arms out,
- 1:36:14Speaker 4: you know, the tee and ready to go, and over
- 1:36:20Speaker 4: the edge she goes and as she was falling, one
- 1:36:24Speaker 4: of the workers shouts, guys, the rope, but it was
- 1:36:29Speaker 4: too late.
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: They had never attached the bungee brutal to her legs.
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: In fact, with one angle you could see it just
- 1:36:35Speaker 2: sitting there. It's just sitting there. That bungee cord like
- 1:36:39Speaker 2: looks so thin. It doesn't look like a regular bungee cord.
- 1:36:44Speaker 2: It just looks like something you would just buy a
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: home depot.
- 1:36:46Speaker 6: Well, you know, when you go to a country that
- 1:36:47Speaker 6: maybe has not some great safety regulations, do something deadly.
- 1:36:53Speaker 2: Can agree And I've said this for years, I never
- 1:36:58Speaker 2: want to go to Brazil. From everything that I'm out
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: of Brazil, like all the videos, the social media stuff
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: you got to take to Greg, to all the murder
- 1:37:06Speaker 2: videos out of Brazil, parts of it looked gorgeous.
- 1:37:09Speaker 8: But from people who I've spoken to that went to
- 1:37:11Speaker 8: Carnival like never again, Like yeah, eyewitness account was that
- 1:37:18Speaker 8: one street was.
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: A river of blood, just like constant pickpockets, little.
- 1:37:23Speaker 4: Kids, endless pickpockets.
- 1:37:25Speaker 2: So anyway, uh over she goes.
- 1:37:28Speaker 4: Fiance is watching the whole thing. The guys are screaming,
- 1:37:31Speaker 4: guys the rope, so she obviously you don't.
- 1:37:36Speaker 2: You don't survive that. Now.
- 1:37:37Speaker 4: The staff freaked out and took off running. They scattered again,
- 1:37:44Speaker 4: as you do in Brazil, and the cops tracked them down.
- 1:37:47Speaker 4: They've been arrested and so they're doing the whole investigation.
- 1:37:49Speaker 4: But I mean, you know, you gotta dude, it's all
- 1:37:52Speaker 4: on video, really, and I'm not sure how the justice
- 1:37:54Speaker 4: works there in.
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: Brazil, but somebody might get machet not to the face.
- 1:38:00Speaker 2: Not good.
- 1:38:00Speaker 4: Well, there you go.
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: You guys, have a nice.
- 1:38:05Speaker 4: The Woody show. You know, there's the first time for everything,
- 1:38:18Speaker 4: and for something that all of us have known about
- 1:38:21Speaker 4: for a long time.
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: Amazon was a more recent discovery of Gregg's.
- 1:38:26Speaker 4: When I say recent, I mean the last handful of years,
- 1:38:28Speaker 4: like maximum two years.
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 1:38:32Speaker 8: I had never even seen the interface. Nothing good God ever. Yeah,
- 1:38:37Speaker 8: and I'm pretty much obsessed.
- 1:38:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:38:39Speaker 4: So you know, Greg had for the first time an
- 1:38:42Speaker 4: experience that most of us who have used Amazon for
- 1:38:45Speaker 4: all these years, I've had probably at least once, if
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: not multiple times.
- 1:38:49Speaker 8: I didn't think this was even a thing, and it
- 1:38:52Speaker 8: happened to me, and it rules. I ordered a patio
- 1:38:57Speaker 8: umbrella because mind break.
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: He orders more.
- 1:39:00Speaker 4: I don't know understand break constantly.
- 1:39:02Speaker 8: But when you say break, what do you mean they break?
- 1:39:05Speaker 8: The slightest breeze goes by and they go flying and
- 1:39:09Speaker 8: they snap.
- 1:39:10Speaker 4: Okay, So I've told Greg a billion times the answer
- 1:39:13Speaker 4: to his problem. The stand that the umbrella goes, you know,
- 1:39:19Speaker 4: is it like a hole through the table and it
- 1:39:21Speaker 4: goes down into.
- 1:39:22Speaker 8: The freestanding stand, you know, just like a super heavy
- 1:39:26Speaker 8: bas round shaped base. There's nothing, and then you tighten
- 1:39:30Speaker 8: the screws into the umbrella and the and the umbrella
- 1:39:34Speaker 8: goes where it'll just like fall over. And I'm saying, like,
- 1:39:37Speaker 8: when you use so it's between a couple of chairs
- 1:39:42Speaker 8: or something like that. Okay, because the the answer to this,
- 1:39:45Speaker 8: and they sell them on Amazon. You get like the
- 1:39:49Speaker 8: it's like a one hundred pound umbrella base.
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: That's the next one. I'm going to beg But I've
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: been telling you.
- 1:39:54Speaker 4: About this for five years, right, but stands are not like, no,
- 1:39:58Speaker 4: they're not.
- 1:39:59Speaker 2: But it'll keep bit front, It'll okay, it'll keep it.
- 1:40:03Speaker 4: And you also keep the umbrella down right that you
- 1:40:05Speaker 4: don't leave it open, so it catches like a sail, right.
- 1:40:07Speaker 2: That's the thing. Though.
- 1:40:09Speaker 8: Yeah, most of the time I keep them up and
- 1:40:12Speaker 8: I'm like, ah, the wind will pass real quick. But
- 1:40:15Speaker 8: this is why I get jealous of restaurants and hotels.
- 1:40:17Speaker 8: They have these magical umbrellas that never.
- 1:40:19Speaker 2: Seem to break. They close them, now, close them they
- 1:40:21Speaker 2: at night, they do, but.
- 1:40:22Speaker 4: Even then in the windy day they're fine. But most
- 1:40:24Speaker 4: of those ones are they they've drilled into the concrete
- 1:40:27Speaker 4: and they they they'll at that way do something like that.
- 1:40:30Speaker 4: So that's why I say, get one of these.
- 1:40:31Speaker 8: I need one pounded umbrella one hundred foot long pole
- 1:40:35Speaker 8: that I can put into the core of the earth.
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: Even with pound base. If you're not closing it.
- 1:40:40Speaker 8: It's gonna rip correct, right. So anyway, the most recent
- 1:40:43Speaker 8: one I bought, it was a color thing. I'm like,
- 1:40:45Speaker 8: the other one faded and it looked like crap, so
- 1:40:48Speaker 8: I wanted a new one. It arrived from Amazon. It
- 1:40:51Speaker 8: was supposed to be I can't remember what they called
- 1:40:53Speaker 8: the color sand. I think like a beige, like a
- 1:40:56Speaker 8: creamy beige. It was more of a pink color. And
- 1:40:59Speaker 8: I said, nope, hate it, returning it. I have never,
- 1:41:02Speaker 8: first of all, to first never return to anything on Amazon.
- 1:41:05Speaker 8: I've always been fine with whatever I got. So I
- 1:41:09Speaker 8: go and hit process return and it immediately said, you
- 1:41:12Speaker 8: know what, just keep it, refund you and keep it.
- 1:41:18Speaker 5: It's way too expensive to send something like that back.
- 1:41:21Speaker 4: You didn't want it until it was free.
- 1:41:24Speaker 8: Well, now I'm thinking, like, who do I know that
- 1:41:26Speaker 8: needs one? I guess gives them an umbrella. Well, it
- 1:41:29Speaker 8: was supposed to be the main one. Now it's just
- 1:41:32Speaker 8: sitting in brand.
- 1:41:33Speaker 4: New in the backup umbrella.
- 1:41:35Speaker 5: Isn't it great?
- 1:41:35Speaker 4: Though I didn't know that was a thing. Yeah, we'll
- 1:41:40Speaker 4: go ahead and refund this and just keep it.
- 1:41:42Speaker 5: It's too much of a pain and the ask for
- 1:41:44Speaker 5: us to.
- 1:41:44Speaker 2: Deal with yeah. Nice. So that's my Amazon first.
- 1:41:48Speaker 4: I ordered something off Amazon yesterday and it's so old timy.
- 1:41:54Speaker 2: I'm gonna show you a picture of it.
- 1:41:55Speaker 7: Gray.
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: You ready. The object is old timing.
- 1:41:58Speaker 4: Yeah, but I ordered it's so old time you ready.
- 1:42:01Speaker 4: It's arriving today.
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: Oh my, I'm shocked that you got that. I don't
- 1:42:09Speaker 2: even know what that is. That is a Is it
- 1:42:12Speaker 2: called a shoehorn? Shoehorn?
- 1:42:17Speaker 4: I'll tell you why.
- 1:42:18Speaker 2: The one it looked like a billy. It's a two pack.
- 1:42:22Speaker 4: There's the little short one like you'd see like a
- 1:42:24Speaker 4: shoe store or whatever. And then there's one that's maybe
- 1:42:26Speaker 4: I don't know it's it's less than twelve inches long.
- 1:42:29Speaker 4: It doesn't look like a golf club. Ye. The reason
- 1:42:33Speaker 4: is because when I take my shoes off, I don't
- 1:42:35Speaker 4: untie them. I just like I slipped them off. And
- 1:42:37Speaker 4: then when I go to put them back on, I go,
- 1:42:39Speaker 4: I'm too lazy, and so I'll just pick it up
- 1:42:41Speaker 4: by the tongue. I'll jam my my toes in there,
- 1:42:44Speaker 4: and I'll kind of smash my foot into the shoe,
- 1:42:47Speaker 4: and I don't retie the shoe. The only time I
- 1:42:48Speaker 4: ever retie the shoe is that they come untied, but
- 1:42:50Speaker 4: I try to avoid that as much as possible, which
- 1:42:52Speaker 4: is one of the reasons I was asking recently about uh,
- 1:42:55Speaker 4: those sketchers slippings like that would be convenient.
- 1:42:59Speaker 2: But say we've created a fat and lazy way around this.
- 1:43:02Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, and so like so in the meantime, as
- 1:43:04Speaker 4: I'm jamming my you know, foot, I'm destroying the back
- 1:43:07Speaker 4: of the shoe, and so I go, you know what
- 1:43:09Speaker 4: I need to get.
- 1:43:12Speaker 2: I've been meaning to get it for like five months.
- 1:43:16Speaker 2: I need a shoehorn. You need a go for your sleep.
- 1:43:19Speaker 4: Would you like to add anything else to this order?
- 1:43:20Speaker 2: Yeah, throw in a couple of handkerchiefs.
- 1:43:22Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:43:22Speaker 4: More of his originals.
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: Were talking about outdoor umbrellas and shoehorns.
- 1:43:29Speaker 4: Yeah, these are real people things.
- 1:43:31Speaker 2: Yeah, sorry, sorry, menace, sorry, minas get we talk about handkerchiefs, nowkerchiefs,
- 1:43:39Speaker 2: watching handkerchiefs.
- 1:43:41Speaker 4: I'll let you know how it goes.
- 1:43:42Speaker 8: Yeah, exciting stuff. Yeah right, shoehorns were only for dressed shoes.
- 1:43:48Speaker 8: For shoes, I'm sure that's what they're like, what they
- 1:43:53Speaker 8: were intended for.
- 1:43:54Speaker 5: Do you have like a sitting bench to put your
- 1:43:55Speaker 5: shoes on? Like you should have gotten the law once
- 1:43:58Speaker 5: you just stand and show it in.
- 1:44:00Speaker 4: I mean, I'm still able to bend over. I'm not
- 1:44:02Speaker 4: that fan.
- 1:44:03Speaker 8: And you should just mean you shouldn't have to like sit,
- 1:44:05Speaker 8: you know, you should get the shoes I have. They
- 1:44:07Speaker 8: look like they're tied, but they are slip on shoes.
- 1:44:10Speaker 8: They are yeah yeah, yeah, they rule clouds.
- 1:44:13Speaker 2: So you guys are you guys are doing the same thing.
- 1:44:15Speaker 2: It's just you don't.
- 1:44:16Speaker 4: Their shoes are built for that.
- 1:44:17Speaker 5: We just don't have a shoe hoole.
- 1:44:19Speaker 4: Yeah, no accessories and what a deal. I think for
- 1:44:22Speaker 4: the tu Pac, it was like, what's going right on?
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: Because you get the longer one and you get the
- 1:44:30Speaker 4: little short ones.
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: You don't want to stretch that much.
- 1:44:35Speaker 6: My dad had a long, long shoeheard made up of
- 1:44:38Speaker 6: animal bone that I think his dad Africa.
- 1:44:40Speaker 4: Or those are the first thing I thought of. I
- 1:44:43Speaker 4: think my grandfather had one.
- 1:44:44Speaker 2: Yeah, like elephant. I was like leaning. It was like
- 1:44:46Speaker 2: leaning in the corner of the room. And it used
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: to be they didn't really use it for shoes and
- 1:44:50Speaker 2: it used to beat kids right. Yeah, parp seals love it,
- 1:44:55Speaker 2: love it.
- 1:44:57Speaker 4: Sh Welcome back into another hour. Yeah, here on the
- 1:45:06Speaker 4: woody show, Woody, Greg Menace, there's Gina phones open eight
- 1:45:11Speaker 4: seven seven forty four. Woody, send us a text check.
- 1:45:14Speaker 2: In over to two two nine eight seven. Yeah.
- 1:45:18Speaker 4: So reading a lot about the SpaceX IPO. It was
- 1:45:23Speaker 4: the largest initial public offering in the history, and the
- 1:45:27Speaker 4: evaluation surpassed two trillion dollars. Dam and for the employees
- 1:45:33Speaker 4: who have held on to their shares, four thousand, four
- 1:45:37Speaker 4: hundred new millionaires. Four hundred of those will be Senti
- 1:45:42Speaker 4: sentil Centi millionaires.
- 1:45:45Speaker 2: Yeah, right, one hundred millionaires. So it's not just Elon
- 1:45:49Speaker 2: who's making all the money morons. I wonder, you know,
- 1:45:53Speaker 2: wood are you and I We went in took a
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: Torah SpaceX and there was people that were working in
- 1:45:57Speaker 2: like the ice cream stand inside the space Ax. I
- 1:46:00Speaker 2: wonder if they had share options as well, because I
- 1:46:04Speaker 2: had a lot of friends that worked at at Pixar
- 1:46:06Speaker 2: and when they went public or got bought, they worked
- 1:46:09Speaker 2: in shipping and receiving and they became millionaires as well.
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: So that was insane. What's this ice cream stand you speaking? Yeah?
- 1:46:16Speaker 2: So yeah, they're like they had like a little stuff, like, yeah,
- 1:46:19Speaker 2: a little cafeteria.
- 1:46:21Speaker 4: Just how much they'll say, like you know what can
- 1:46:22Speaker 4: Elon buy now that he is worth one trillion.
- 1:46:25Speaker 5: Dollars right anything the world?
- 1:46:28Speaker 2: A couple of countries.
- 1:46:28Speaker 4: Probably he could buy six hundred and sixty seven bersh Khalifas.
- 1:46:32Speaker 5: Oh damn, the tallest building in the world.
- 1:46:34Speaker 4: Yeh yeah, because that costs one point five billion each. Wow, Okay,
- 1:46:38Speaker 4: no problem, we'll take three.
- 1:46:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:46:40Speaker 4: He could buy Formula one and Moto GP and the
- 1:46:43Speaker 4: WWE and the UFC all of it. That would be
- 1:46:47Speaker 4: worth sixty nine billion.
- 1:46:49Speaker 2: Damn.
- 1:46:49Speaker 4: Yeah, will you could just buy all that? No problems?
- 1:46:51Speaker 2: Like, oh, that's like nothing? Yeah, whatever.
- 1:46:53Speaker 4: He could buy twenty four million Tesla model Wise, he
- 1:46:57Speaker 4: could buy seventy five percent of all bitcoin at today's price.
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: Good.
- 1:47:02Speaker 4: He can get the Louis Vuitton door lvmh. He could
- 1:47:07Speaker 4: buy all three of those, Well.
- 1:47:09Speaker 2: He would because he's such a big brand fashion person.
- 1:47:12Speaker 2: Two billion.
- 1:47:13Speaker 4: He could buy Netflix, Disney, Comcast, and Coca Cola. Wow,
- 1:47:20Speaker 4: doesn't costco, McDonald's and Starbucks. So that's only seven hundred
- 1:47:23Speaker 4: and fifty four billion. He could give every American a
- 1:47:27Speaker 4: twenty nine hundred dollars check.
- 1:47:29Speaker 2: I love what those memes go Elon could actually if
- 1:47:33Speaker 2: he wanted.
- 1:47:33Speaker 6: To give us all and then your life would be
- 1:47:35Speaker 6: so much better, right, yeah, but like he took that
- 1:47:37Speaker 6: money from you.
- 1:47:37Speaker 4: Yeah, look, I'm not I'm a You can have whatever
- 1:47:40Speaker 4: opinion you have on Elon, but you know it's not
- 1:47:43Speaker 4: like he inherited it. You know, he didn't inherit like
- 1:47:47Speaker 4: the trillion dollars and we're.
- 1:47:48Speaker 2: Gonna get a thousand text saying well his dad owned
- 1:47:50Speaker 2: an emerald mind. Okay, no he did not his dad
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: but even still no, yeah, he his dad was dead, broke,
- 1:47:56Speaker 2: gave Alon two thous I'm reading shocking, I'm reading the
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: biography right now. Oh god, he did he.
- 1:48:02Speaker 6: Going to the biography right, gave two grand when he
- 1:48:04Speaker 6: moved to Canada first, where by the way, he went
- 1:48:07Speaker 6: to engineering school and as a teenager he was writing
- 1:48:10Speaker 6: his own computer programming codes.
- 1:48:11Speaker 2: Like when you learn about what he does, and like
- 1:48:14Speaker 2: with this trillion dollar valuation, he's not going to sit
- 1:48:17Speaker 2: on an island and just you know, hang out with
- 1:48:19Speaker 2: hose and boats and hose all day.
- 1:48:21Speaker 6: He's going to create more jobs, more value, more science
- 1:48:24Speaker 6: for the world.
- 1:48:25Speaker 4: So enjoy.
- 1:48:26Speaker 5: Yeah, and if you see him before the glow up
- 1:48:28Speaker 5: like his old pictures, you definitely realize like he did
- 1:48:31Speaker 5: write code for Yes.
- 1:48:33Speaker 4: Yeah, but I mean, you know, here's a person who's
- 1:48:35Speaker 4: created over four thousand new millionaires that didn't exist, Like.
- 1:48:39Speaker 2: People stole that money. But you know it's like being evil,
- 1:48:43Speaker 2: But that's that's not a bad thing. No, No, every billionaire,
- 1:48:47Speaker 2: every Elon Musk, every Bezos, every pick a billionaire. You
- 1:48:50Speaker 2: actually like ninety eight percent of the value they create
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: goes to their employees. Is that true?
- 1:48:56Speaker 6: Say that again, like so like Bezos, right, he's worth
- 1:48:59Speaker 6: blah blah blah billion whatever that is of all the
- 1:49:02Speaker 6: money that he of all the money that he's getting,
- 1:49:05Speaker 6: he gets like less than two percent of the value
- 1:49:07Speaker 6: of his company. All that mostly vast majority is going
- 1:49:10Speaker 6: to employees millionaires to Yeah, I see what you're saying, Right,
- 1:49:15Speaker 6: he's creating jobs and well because.
- 1:49:17Speaker 4: You'll see you'll see those those grafts and stuff talking
- 1:49:20Speaker 4: about like how much more the CEO of this company
- 1:49:23Speaker 4: makes than the average employee of said company.
- 1:49:26Speaker 6: Who didn't who wouldn't have that job had that employee,
- 1:49:28Speaker 6: had that ceo not taking an incredible risk and worked
- 1:49:31Speaker 6: incredibly hard to make that company.
- 1:49:32Speaker 12: Yes, Jeff g Man, this is right. There was a
- 1:49:35Speaker 12: Latino man. He was a welder making twenty eight bucks
- 1:49:38Speaker 12: an hour, just became a millionaire over the weekend.
- 1:49:40Speaker 1: Damn.
- 1:49:41Speaker 2: He's a welder at SpaceX. Yeah, hey, you want to
- 1:49:44Speaker 2: take this job? I did going to be a welder
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: over this ump about that guy and he said that
- 1:49:48Speaker 2: like he just took the job to even know really
- 1:49:50Speaker 2: what it was what he was doing, but he just
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: knew how to weld. Yeah, it's awesome.
- 1:49:55Speaker 4: Uh, this dude, I want to see what you think
- 1:49:57Speaker 4: about this. His name is Nat Berman and like a
- 1:50:01Speaker 4: lot of people, he's got more followers in the what
- 1:50:03Speaker 4: he show on Instagram. He's at Real Nate Berman. He's
- 1:50:06Speaker 4: an entrepreneur, but isn't everybody. Oh and he's ranting about
- 1:50:11Speaker 4: this and I want to see if you agree or disagree.
- 1:50:14Speaker 4: His claim is that a friend that sees all of
- 1:50:18Speaker 4: your content but never engages is a hater.
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: Hater. Yeah, here's his argument.
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: A friend that sees all your content but never engages
- 1:50:27Speaker 1: is a hater. And you know exactly who I'm talking about.
- 1:50:30Speaker 1: They don't miss a story, they see every post, they're
- 1:50:34Speaker 1: always watching, but somehow they never like, they never comment,
- 1:50:38Speaker 1: they never send a message that says, Hey, I'm proud
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: of you, or that was really good. The silence is
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: consistent and it's specific only to you. Because here's what
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: makes it so telling. These same people are gonna hype
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: up celebrities they've never met. They will comment fire emojis
- 1:50:55Speaker 1: on athletes and entertainers who don't even know they exist.
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: When it comes to you, someone they actually know, somebody
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: who's success, they have a front row seat to. It's silence,
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: and that silence is not neutral. It's information. When someone
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: genuinely loves you, they don't act allergic to your success.
- 1:51:15Speaker 1: Support isn't complicated. A LFE takes half a second, a
- 1:51:18Speaker 1: comment takes ten.
- 1:51:19Speaker 7: The fact that they.
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: Can't find those ten seconds for you, but they can
- 1:51:23Speaker 1: find them for strangers tells you everything you need to
- 1:51:26Speaker 1: know about what they're actually feeling when they watch you win.
- 1:51:30Speaker 1: And behavior never lies. Your growth didn't change them, It
- 1:51:33Speaker 1: exposed them. It revealed something that was always there but
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: had nothing to react to until you started becoming someone
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: worth being jealous of. They don't dislike you, they dislike
- 1:51:45Speaker 1: that it's you winning before them. So pay attention.
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: Who celebrates when you win?
- 1:51:50Speaker 1: Who goes quiet? Who shows up in the comments of strangers,
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: but disappears from yours. Love celebrates insecurity studies you in silence.
- 1:52:00Speaker 2: This to me just screams and security.
- 1:52:02Speaker 4: Like if you're like, yeah, because I see so many
- 1:52:06Speaker 4: of my friends posts and the stories on Instaple's just
- 1:52:09Speaker 4: use Instagram as the example.
- 1:52:10Speaker 2: I'm not on really any other platform.
- 1:52:13Speaker 4: But I'll see someone's story and I go through, like, oh, okay,
- 1:52:16Speaker 4: but I'm not stopping to like all this stuff. I
- 1:52:19Speaker 4: can't remember if I have liked any of them. And
- 1:52:21Speaker 4: it's not that I'm not supportive of them. I'm just
- 1:52:24Speaker 4: kind of casually just looking through and I go, oh,
- 1:52:27Speaker 4: that's that's pretty neat. But I'm not stopping down. I
- 1:52:29Speaker 4: think it doesn't mean anything. It's like I have no
- 1:52:32Speaker 4: ill will or any opinion really whatsoever.
- 1:52:35Speaker 5: Yeah, And I think that's most people. You're just like, oh,
- 1:52:36Speaker 5: what's on TV. You're just channel surfing, You're not it's
- 1:52:39Speaker 5: not personal.
- 1:52:39Speaker 4: I never thought about this until I saw this, Yeah, right,
- 1:52:43Speaker 4: I never even thought like, is that the message's kind
- 1:52:45Speaker 4: of like when we were talking about recently the thumbs
- 1:52:47Speaker 4: up emoji? Yeah, I never aggressive never, but I never
- 1:52:51Speaker 4: once I never even once considered that to me, it's
- 1:52:54Speaker 4: like all right, cool, Like yeah, it's how there's there's
- 1:52:57Speaker 4: no context. You can't sense artasm or with tone in texting, right.
- 1:53:03Speaker 4: I never I never viewed it or saw it that
- 1:53:05Speaker 4: way until somebody pointed out. And I still don't agree
- 1:53:09Speaker 4: with the thumbs up being like aggressive. I never thought
- 1:53:13Speaker 4: about this until I heard this is that true.
- 1:53:15Speaker 2: I was going to agree with this guy, But I
- 1:53:17Speaker 2: don't think it's that deep where they are like, oh,
- 1:53:20Speaker 2: this person's obsessing over me and they're a hater. I
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: just think it's just like I don't know, people just
- 1:53:25Speaker 2: don't even think about it. I agree, But that.
- 1:53:29Speaker 5: Said, I will look and see, like if my friends
- 1:53:31Speaker 5: are just like going through it, not.
- 1:53:33Speaker 1: You do.
- 1:53:35Speaker 2: All all my friend I'm curious all my friends posts.
- 1:53:39Speaker 2: I like all my friends. Yeah, me too, like no
- 1:53:41Speaker 2: matter what.
- 1:53:42Speaker 5: I'm going through, betive yeah same.
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: Just to be succeed there, just to be supportive. I
- 1:53:48Speaker 2: never once thought about it.
- 1:53:49Speaker 5: I do it every time I look at a story
- 1:53:50Speaker 5: at heart Heart Heart, there's a big thing.
- 1:53:52Speaker 4: Okay, so I think we're you know, maybe I'm thinking
- 1:53:54Speaker 4: in different context. So if there's like a big announcement
- 1:53:59Speaker 4: they have like a big thing they're sharing cool, I'll go, hey, man, congrats,
- 1:54:02Speaker 4: that's awesome something like that. But if it's just some
- 1:54:06Speaker 4: random right like there, I'm not necessarily thinking about it.
- 1:54:10Speaker 5: But I think he's right in the sense that like
- 1:54:13Speaker 5: it comes across a little not like oh us, Joel,
- 1:54:16Speaker 5: like just a little, like you're being a creeper, Like
- 1:54:18Speaker 5: you can acknowledge that you're seeing it.
- 1:54:21Speaker 4: Texter says he's talking about people that are liking other
- 1:54:24Speaker 4: people's stuff, but magically not yours.
- 1:54:26Speaker 2: How do you even know that people? You can see it?
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: You can see it? Yeah, yeah, you can easily see it,
- 1:54:33Speaker 2: like when you if you see another post of somebody
- 1:54:36Speaker 2: else's it will show your friend, your friends.
- 1:54:39Speaker 7: Like it to be.
- 1:54:40Speaker 6: To Genus point, and to what he's point, this is
- 1:54:42Speaker 6: not something a man should be commenting or thinking about it.
- 1:54:46Speaker 12: This is women's stuff. But those people do exist. There
- 1:54:50Speaker 12: are haters that lurk. Sure, that's why there's finstas.
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: Right, so you can go and you can do your business,
- 1:54:55Speaker 2: you know, but you got to decide whether or not
- 1:54:58Speaker 2: you care about it. Yeah, nowhere to go, Like.
- 1:55:02Speaker 5: You can see who who put a little heart next
- 1:55:04Speaker 5: to your story?
- 1:55:06Speaker 11: But are you really checking to go like, oh, I
- 1:55:08Speaker 11: noticed that they liked this thing over here, and I
- 1:55:11Speaker 11: also noticed that they didn't like But it.
- 1:55:13Speaker 2: Just it just it just happens in your feed.
- 1:55:16Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:55:17Speaker 2: Yeah. But to his point, I guess a little bit
- 1:55:19Speaker 2: like do you think that Drake cares that you liked
- 1:55:21Speaker 2: his new I think Drake does. Definitely. What kind of
- 1:55:24Speaker 2: are you? Oh, check it out, Kim Kardashian, I liked
- 1:55:27Speaker 2: your things. You know, when you post a story, you'll
- 1:55:30Speaker 2: so wait, does it show you who viewed it?
- 1:55:32Speaker 5: And yeah, yes, they'll show you who viewed it and
- 1:55:34Speaker 5: who put at a heart next to it?
- 1:55:36Speaker 4: Oh my god, Yeah, that shows you the activity. That's
- 1:55:39Speaker 4: kind of sad that you care about that. And it's weird,
- 1:55:41Speaker 4: Like I'm not even trying to make fun of you.
- 1:55:43Speaker 4: I'm saying like it's just and it's so weird. It's
- 1:55:45Speaker 4: a weird, like needing a validation.
- 1:55:47Speaker 5: The thing is is, I'm not actually looking at the
- 1:55:49Speaker 5: people's names. I'm just like, oh, like people respond to that,
- 1:55:52Speaker 5: or if not, if like two people hearted, I'm like,
- 1:55:55Speaker 5: oh that's stupid. I won't waste people's time with that.
- 1:55:58Speaker 5: It's like my own little uh what's the word, like,
- 1:56:00Speaker 5: uh like survey.
- 1:56:02Speaker 2: Yeah, don't do it. Don't do what's valuable to you internally.
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: Do what other people think is good.
- 1:56:07Speaker 5: They're taking the time to follow me. I want to
- 1:56:09Speaker 5: make it fun or funny.
- 1:56:10Speaker 2: What this guy is saying.
- 1:56:11Speaker 8: I think has he has a point if it comes
- 1:56:14Speaker 8: to real life, like oh, my friends don't call me
- 1:56:18Speaker 8: or congratulate me on a on a event. But when
- 1:56:22Speaker 8: it's social media, that's not real life like you should.
- 1:56:26Speaker 8: It's he's acting like that is life. Social media is
- 1:56:29Speaker 8: a life.
- 1:56:30Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's a real tell about how people quote
- 1:56:33Speaker 4: feel about it exactly. It should be the other way around.
- 1:56:36Speaker 4: Are they talking to you in actual life?
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: I'll be honest.
- 1:56:40Speaker 4: It made me think about, man, the people that I
- 1:56:44Speaker 4: know that I am friends with, that we you know,
- 1:56:46Speaker 4: follow or whatever, are they thinking that I'm like some
- 1:56:49Speaker 4: kind of like peripheral hater. Maybe you know, because I'm
- 1:56:53Speaker 4: not sitting there, I don't know what. Because Menace has
- 1:56:55Speaker 4: access to the same you know what do you show
- 1:56:57Speaker 4: account on Instagram, which is what I'm using the look
- 1:56:59Speaker 4: at stuff.
- 1:57:00Speaker 2: I don't have my own account.
- 1:57:02Speaker 4: Yeah, So like unless Menace is already doing it and
- 1:57:06Speaker 4: therefore they think, okay, gool it is being acknowledged to you.
- 1:57:09Speaker 2: Yeah, clicked hard. Yeah.
- 1:57:11Speaker 11: And Greg's point, it's funny because I had a friend
- 1:57:13Speaker 11: who had posted something on Instagram and I messaged them
- 1:57:17Speaker 11: about their post and they said, oh, so you saw
- 1:57:20Speaker 11: my post, but.
- 1:57:21Speaker 9: You didn't like it. Oh, I did it what I
- 1:57:23Speaker 9: texted them about. But that's how much people care.
- 1:57:25Speaker 5: That's weird, that's that's that's a different level.
- 1:57:27Speaker 2: What his take is is not a new take. The
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: people I saw the loudest about what he's talking about
- 1:57:33Speaker 2: is small business owners. Like small business owners will always
- 1:57:36Speaker 2: say like, oh, like I put out a product, people
- 1:57:40Speaker 2: won't buy it or at least talk about it or
- 1:57:42Speaker 2: share it or post about it. But if you know,
- 1:57:46Speaker 2: Kim Kardashian came out with a new skincare line, you're
- 1:57:48Speaker 2: liking that post and you're and you're like reposting it.
- 1:57:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess there's a difference between business and personal.
- 1:57:55Speaker 4: But like, if it's a personal account, it's not it's
- 1:57:58Speaker 4: not business. What do you care if anybody well, now, dude,
- 1:58:02Speaker 4: or liked or commented on any of it. And think
- 1:58:05Speaker 4: Greg's point about it's not.
- 1:58:08Speaker 5: But this guy's seems I don't know who he is,
- 1:58:10Speaker 5: but he seems like his whole purpose is what like
- 1:58:12Speaker 5: growing an audience or whatever, like this is his focus,
- 1:58:15Speaker 5: and I don't consider mine just for my friends. It's
- 1:58:17Speaker 5: for people who listen. It's for I guess you could
- 1:58:19Speaker 5: call it a business. So if people don't seem to
- 1:58:21Speaker 5: like it, I'm going to stop posting stuff like that
- 1:58:23Speaker 5: because if it's not entertaining, I don't want to waste
- 1:58:24Speaker 5: their time.
- 1:58:25Speaker 8: Well, you'll recall in the remake of National Lampoon's Vacation,
- 1:58:28Speaker 8: Chris Applegate got into an argument with a friend who
- 1:58:32Speaker 8: she said, oh, we went to Paris, and she said,
- 1:58:34Speaker 8: I know, I saw the pictures and the friend said, oh,
- 1:58:36Speaker 8: so you saw the pictures, but you didn't like that,
- 1:58:39Speaker 8: And that's.
- 1:58:41Speaker 2: Big Christina Ruler. But it is definitely a thing like
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: forget about businesses or trying to grow an audience. Yeah,
- 1:58:50Speaker 2: if like you mentioned something that you saw online and
- 1:58:53Speaker 2: you didn't like it, that is people find that weird.
- 1:58:56Speaker 4: Huh, All right, good, good to know you still don't care.
- 1:59:00Speaker 4: Put anybody who I know or friends with like, don't look,
- 1:59:04Speaker 4: I guess, don't read into it. And the opposite of
- 1:59:07Speaker 4: not clicking a heart is not hate, right, we got
- 1:59:10Speaker 4: to stop that.
- 1:59:12Speaker 2: Oh you don't like this play? Oh you're a hater.
- 1:59:15Speaker 4: No, I just know I did see a meme that
- 1:59:17Speaker 4: I thought was good and it applies to a lot.
- 1:59:20Speaker 4: But it just says, don't let whack ass people f
- 1:59:22Speaker 4: with your dope ass energy.
- 1:59:27Speaker 2: But you know, like when when the phrase it I'm
- 1:59:31Speaker 2: being cute.
- 1:59:32Speaker 4: Yeah, like if if you're feeling good about what you're
- 1:59:34Speaker 4: posting or what you're doing, or how you're living your
- 1:59:35Speaker 4: life whatever, who cares?
- 1:59:37Speaker 2: Who cares? Like, like, what does it matter if someone's
- 1:59:39Speaker 2: not they saw your story but they didn't like it.
- 1:59:44Speaker 2: It's just do you know how the bridge with the
- 1:59:48Speaker 2: screen on it, somebody hits the door bell, it automatically
- 1:59:52Speaker 2: pops up on the refrigerator.
- 1:59:54Speaker 4: Because most of the time Menace is in the kitchen. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:00:00Speaker 4: is like spying on her husband all the time. Now,
- 2:00:03Speaker 4: speaking of surveillance, Oh no, I know.
- 2:00:07Speaker 5: I got it for the dog, but so far I
- 2:00:09Speaker 5: haven't had a chance to use it because everybody's home.
- 2:00:11Speaker 4: But she's got these crazy cameras though, Like she was
- 2:00:15Speaker 4: showing me where she has like a little remote on
- 2:00:17Speaker 4: her phone and she can turn it. Oh yeah, like
- 2:00:21Speaker 4: not just like yeah, not like just a digital turn.
- 2:00:24Speaker 5: No, I think the kid just caught me. Yeah, because
- 2:00:29Speaker 5: he's sitting at the kitchen counter eating cereal and he
- 2:00:33Speaker 5: keeps seeing it turn. Oh here he comes. Yeah, I
- 2:00:36Speaker 5: stop doing that.
- 2:00:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it moves the camera, so Andy hates it. Yeah.
- 2:00:41Speaker 2: Is he's supposed to jerk off and peek.
- 2:00:42Speaker 9: Exactly and talk through it?
- 2:00:45Speaker 5: And I'm scaring them and they hate it.
- 2:00:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that's cool. I didn't know. I mean, we have
- 2:00:50Speaker 2: the ring just the great there's stationary though. They just
- 2:00:53Speaker 2: sit there.
- 2:00:53Speaker 5: Oh this was Amazon, like twenty bucks. Yeah, I'll send
- 2:00:56Speaker 5: you the one.
- 2:00:56Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 2:00:56Speaker 5: I'll post point.
- 2:00:58Speaker 4: Yeah, and then you just use it for what spying
- 2:00:59Speaker 4: on the dog?
- 2:01:00Speaker 2: He's in somebody home all the.
- 2:01:01Speaker 5: Time, Well that's the thing. Sometimes not. And since the
- 2:01:03Speaker 5: dog's only twelve weeks old, I kind of want to
- 2:01:05Speaker 5: see what she looks like. If she's always just frantic
- 2:01:08Speaker 5: the whole time, or if she's chilling and then tricks
- 2:01:10Speaker 5: us when we come in like, oh got them, I'm
- 2:01:11Speaker 5: like a panic attacks.
- 2:01:12Speaker 4: Like Secret Life of Pets.
- 2:01:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I want to know what it looks like exactly.
- 2:01:16Speaker 2: I thought you left.
- 2:01:18Speaker 5: No, we put her in a little puppy pen. But
- 2:01:20Speaker 5: she hates it. She wants to be where the people are,
- 2:01:23Speaker 5: so I just want to see what it looked like.
- 2:01:25Speaker 5: But now all I do is spy on my family.
- 2:01:27Speaker 4: Well, they'll get used to it. We have cameras all
- 2:01:30Speaker 4: over the house, right inside outside. Yeah, but not like
- 2:01:33Speaker 4: in privacy areas, like in common areas.
- 2:01:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:01:37Speaker 4: No, they're just in common areas. I don't even think
- 2:01:40Speaker 4: about them. It's like inn here.
- 2:01:41Speaker 2: We have cameras all over the studio. That's true.
- 2:01:43Speaker 4: You eventually forget. I don't even think about them.
- 2:01:46Speaker 5: Yeah, and I wasn't thinking about it, but then I
- 2:01:48Speaker 5: was like, wait, this could be fun, and then I remembered.
- 2:01:51Speaker 4: But I'll take it over it my dumb son. He
- 2:01:53Speaker 4: forgot that we had cameras everywhere and steak it out
- 2:01:55Speaker 4: of the house.
- 2:01:56Speaker 2: Idiot. He is not like the alarm sets them.
- 2:02:00Speaker 4: Even has a camera on the keypades so when you
- 2:02:05Speaker 4: go to enter the code, it'll show who did it?
- 2:02:09Speaker 5: Did He not know that?
- 2:02:10Speaker 4: He is very much aware because they are everywhere and
- 2:02:13Speaker 4: we've we've told them since they were kids. I go, hey,
- 2:02:16Speaker 4: you sure you know there's cameras all of it. Just
- 2:02:18Speaker 4: check the cameras, and they got to the party like no,
- 2:02:20Speaker 4: I'm serious. That's how I knew. That's how I know
- 2:02:23Speaker 4: they were being honest, Like no serious, check the cameras well.
- 2:02:27Speaker 6: He was he doing like Bill Gates did when he
- 2:02:28Speaker 6: was a teenager where he would break out because there's
- 2:02:30Speaker 6: only one computer in talent that he wanted to practice
- 2:02:32Speaker 6: coding on. Oh yes, and he fall asleep at the terminal.
- 2:02:38Speaker 2: Saw something crazy about Bill Gates. Hold on, there was
- 2:02:40Speaker 2: like a Bill Gates something I saw.
- 2:02:43Speaker 6: When you learn about these guys and like how insanely
- 2:02:45Speaker 6: nerdy and like losers, the losers they were all their
- 2:02:48Speaker 6: free time was dedicating to like do you know stuff?
- 2:02:52Speaker 4: So there was a report in the Wall Street Journal
- 2:02:54Speaker 4: about Bill Gates and his communications team. They spent years
- 2:02:58Speaker 4: shaping his public image make him appear more like a calm, approachable,
- 2:03:02Speaker 4: mister Rogers style figure.
- 2:03:04Speaker 7: It was.
- 2:03:04Speaker 4: It worked, and according to the report, the staff went
- 2:03:06Speaker 4: to like all these lengths to control that image, and
- 2:03:09Speaker 4: at one point they even created a custom mannequin to
- 2:03:12Speaker 4: test out different outfit combinations. What before the public appearances
- 2:03:17Speaker 4: would happen with like.
- 2:03:18Speaker 5: His layers of button downs, and the.
- 2:03:20Speaker 4: Idea was to consistently dress Bill Gates and these you know,
- 2:03:24Speaker 4: simple neutral clothing kind of like sweaters, you know, button
- 2:03:29Speaker 4: down stairs, mister Rogers kind of stutable, yeah, and understated
- 2:03:33Speaker 4: glasses just to you know, reinforce the philanthropist kind of
- 2:03:38Speaker 4: persona that he had going on.
- 2:03:39Speaker 2: Because he was he would bind the scenes. He was
- 2:03:41Speaker 2: well known to be as nasty, if not worse than
- 2:03:43Speaker 2: Steve Johns.
- 2:03:44Speaker 4: Ellen DeGeneres more more brutal.
- 2:03:47Speaker 2: I had no idea.
- 2:03:48Speaker 4: Yeah, and they would, you know, curate these appearances, these
- 2:03:51Speaker 4: media appearances, and made request to editors soften certain footage
- 2:03:56Speaker 4: and documentaries to avoid, you know, some of the more
- 2:03:59Speaker 4: unflattering moments. The whole big like right up on it
- 2:04:02Speaker 4: on the Wall Street Journal again if you want to
- 2:04:04Speaker 4: check that out.
- 2:04:04Speaker 2: A couple of stories interviews with Steve Balmer who owns
- 2:04:08Speaker 2: you know what team do they own? I can't even
- 2:04:14Speaker 2: I was just at the arena like the other day,
- 2:04:16Speaker 2: but his like interviews about Steve jobs about like him
- 2:04:21Speaker 2: going through cancer treatment and stuff like that, and just
- 2:04:24Speaker 2: like the the the feedback that they got during that
- 2:04:27Speaker 2: time was crazy.
- 2:04:28Speaker 4: Well, I mean this whole like coordinated branding thing with
- 2:04:31Speaker 4: with Bill Gates though worked, That's crazy.
- 2:04:33Speaker 2: It worked, and you know, his.
- 2:04:35Speaker 4: Reputation now is taking a hit because of you know,
- 2:04:37Speaker 4: his ties to Jeffrey Epstein whatever those really are.
- 2:04:40Speaker 2: Well, no, actually kind of started during the pandemic, Yeah, plandemic,
- 2:04:45Speaker 2: the plandemic and because of the whole what was it
- 2:04:48Speaker 2: was he like which is.
- 2:04:50Speaker 4: Not a bad thing, obviously, No, but they were they
- 2:04:53Speaker 4: were saying that he had like some kind of you know, uh,
- 2:04:56Speaker 4: sinister plan for I.
- 2:04:58Speaker 2: Still give every spam message. I it is like Bill
- 2:05:01Speaker 2: Gates and mafia blah blah blah blood.
- 2:05:04Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it was all it was in there with
- 2:05:06Speaker 4: all that like you know, five G conspiracy stuff, and.
- 2:05:10Speaker 2: Most of the stuff wasn't involving like poop, like clean
- 2:05:13Speaker 2: cleaning up poop in India.
- 2:05:14Speaker 4: Understand it's like it was.
- 2:05:19Speaker 2: It was big with sanitation. Yeah, I'm sure you're right.
- 2:05:21Speaker 2: I don't never hearing about and a lot of people
- 2:05:23Speaker 2: do chill as they get older. I know, my my
- 2:05:25Speaker 2: parents are way. My mom was woul scream our faces
- 2:05:29Speaker 2: off when she was in her thirties and she's so
- 2:05:31Speaker 2: calm now, sensitivity training for a politically correct world show.
- 2:05:39Speaker 2: I don't care about your feelings, and that's gonna do it.

- 2:06:35Speaker 4: never put off until tomorrow. The things you can blame
- 2:06:38Speaker 4: technology for today.
- 2:06:41Speaker 2: It's funny.
- 2:06:42Speaker 4: That's been my that's been my son's whole strategy when
- 2:06:45Speaker 4: it comes to school stuff. See, one thing we never
- 2:06:47Speaker 4: had the benefit of is any of the digital stuff. Yeah, right,
- 2:06:51Speaker 4: Like you can't say, oh, the internet was down or yeah.
- 2:06:53Speaker 4: So like parents now can look and see where your
- 2:06:55Speaker 4: grade is as of today. God, you have to wait
- 2:06:58Speaker 4: till a marketing period or a progress rey or or
- 2:07:00Speaker 4: something like that. Intercepting the mail. Yeah, so when we
- 2:07:03Speaker 4: look at the grades and go, hey, man, what's going
- 2:07:05Speaker 4: on in chemistry class? Oh, well, he just hasn't put
- 2:07:08Speaker 4: it in any He hasn't he hasn't updated the grades yet. Okay, okay,
- 2:07:12Speaker 4: Hey it says you have missing assignments. Where are those? Oh,
- 2:07:14Speaker 4: he just hasn't marked them yet. All these teachers aren't
- 2:07:19Speaker 4: doing their Yeah, so it's good and bag number one.
- 2:07:23Speaker 4: You know where you stand. Good, but only if you
- 2:07:25Speaker 4: do something with it. Yeah, and bad that your parents
- 2:07:27Speaker 4: can see it exactly. Yeah, you had no chance to
- 2:07:30Speaker 4: even intercept the mail, right, that was part of the fun. Yeah,
- 2:07:33Speaker 4: all right, Thank you very much, Greg Gory. Thank you
- 2:07:36Speaker 4: so much for giving the show some of your valuable
- 2:07:38Speaker 4: time this morning, you know with it. Appreciate you for that.
