Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hi, everybody, Welcome to tea time with Amy and Beb. Hello,
- 0:05Speaker 1: my friend. Hello, I was life, oh life, Life is
- 0:10Speaker 1: interesting as always. At work, we oversee a community event.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Called First Friday, and.
- 0:29Speaker 1: You know, like nine thousand people come to this and
- 0:33Speaker 1: so we just had our last one for the season. Bittersweet.
- 0:40Speaker 1: It's a love hate relationship because I've gave myself the
- 0:45Speaker 1: title of First Friday Director because I oversee the entire
- 0:50Speaker 1: process and it's really amazing. It was great learning experience,
- 0:58Speaker 1: interesting working with the vendor. I say interesting to keep
- 1:03Speaker 1: it neutral. There are some upsides and of course there's
- 1:06Speaker 1: some struggles with some of them. All in all, an
- 1:13Speaker 1: overall experience.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Was great.
- 1:19Speaker 1: But again the love part is I've done for the season,
- 1:25Speaker 1: and so I slept a lot this weekend.
- 1:29Speaker 2: So yeah, that's awesome, and you know to say that.
- 1:39Speaker 1: This is the last, you know, hoorah, big event. No,
- 1:44Speaker 1: this coming weekend, I have another event that I am
- 1:48Speaker 1: overseeing and there's a lot of a lot of parties
- 1:52Speaker 1: involved and a win win win for everybody. And now
- 1:59Speaker 1: you know, just moving right into that next one to
- 2:03Speaker 1: solidify and I've been working on this one for months
- 2:05Speaker 1: as well, and to solidify the details of that would
- 2:08Speaker 1: be this week and it's Sunday, so I'll be working
- 2:12Speaker 1: on that today as well. But again, it's just one
- 2:17Speaker 1: of those things that's just going to be. It's super
- 2:20Speaker 1: exciting to have it and be doing it and overseeing it.
- 2:23Speaker 1: So the rewards always are greater than the difficulties in
- 2:30Speaker 1: the circumstances. So and so I just feel very honored
- 2:35Speaker 1: and blessed to have the opportunity to be in the
- 2:37Speaker 1: position I am with these events.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Which is awesome. And staying neutral it's kind of that's
- 2:44Speaker 2: so important, and I can't I'm not always in that space.
- 2:47Speaker 2: I can say I can't always be in that space,
- 2:49Speaker 2: but I think someday, but it's not today.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I'm not always in that space either, because those moments
- 3:00Speaker 1: and so when we're struggling with you know, vendors, I'm venting.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I have to vent and get it out of my system.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I say the words not very nice words a lot
- 3:10Speaker 1: of times too. And it's a way to move the energy.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Is it the best way? Probably not. I'm not gonna
- 3:16Speaker 1: say it's the best way, But I'm being more in
- 3:23Speaker 1: a practice of not staying stuck in it and hanging
- 3:29Speaker 1: onto the discord and the anger of it, because I
- 3:33Speaker 1: tell you, some of them vendors like really piss you off,
- 3:36Speaker 1: and you're just like, ah right, and you're just you.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I gotta get it out and have a sounding board
- 3:44Speaker 1: to be able to actually shut a door and speak
- 3:47Speaker 1: my mind and say what I want to say to
- 3:48Speaker 1: somebody who can hear me and understand me and then
- 3:52Speaker 1: move on.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's an opportunity for us to grow from
- 3:56Speaker 2: it when we give ourselves a chance. And I'm not
- 3:59Speaker 2: always in that space to do that. Yeah, I a
- 4:02Speaker 2: little bit even got wrapped around something last night. And
- 4:06Speaker 2: yesterday was such a beautiful day. Had one of my
- 4:09Speaker 2: grandchildren's birthday. My sister in law had come from California
- 4:14Speaker 2: for the visit, and it was just the most beautiful
- 4:16Speaker 2: day that the temperatures were wonderful, everything was great. I
- 4:19Speaker 2: got to watch the kids all getting along. Everything was
- 4:21Speaker 2: just amazing. It worked out great, and then one thing
- 4:27Speaker 2: popped up in the evening and it's like it stayed
- 4:30Speaker 2: with me, and it's like I tried to come in
- 4:32Speaker 2: and sit in the office and write like a round
- 4:34Speaker 2: ten o'clock last night because I was just flamed at
- 4:38Speaker 2: that point, so I had already gotten I was in
- 4:40Speaker 2: the red zone, and then it's like this morning, it's
- 4:43Speaker 2: like it could pick right back up to there and so,
- 4:45Speaker 2: and it kind of did. So it's like looking at
- 4:47Speaker 2: that and walking through that path. And then when I
- 4:50Speaker 2: get to the point where I can look within, when
- 4:52Speaker 2: I can go within and understand why this is going on.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Listening to Kyle ces this morning and he's kind of,
- 4:57Speaker 2: you know, popped in, and I don't listen to a
- 4:58Speaker 2: lot of stuff, so it's been very beneficial. It's listening
- 5:03Speaker 2: to all that information and recognizing it's not someone else
- 5:07Speaker 2: that's they're triggering you. I mean, it is someone else
- 5:09Speaker 2: triggering you, but it's not to put a pen in
- 5:13Speaker 2: your neck or anything like that. It's it's more along
- 5:16Speaker 2: the lines of taking a breath and finding out why
- 5:19Speaker 2: is this triggering me so much? Why am I being affected?
- 5:21Speaker 2: Because otherwise I'm getting my power away to someone that
- 5:25Speaker 2: does not deserve my power. And and then again then
- 5:29Speaker 2: I can go even deeper than that. It's not a
- 5:31Speaker 2: matter of anybody deserving anything, because everybody is unconditionally loved,
- 5:34Speaker 2: and so it's not even my process. And so that
- 5:36Speaker 2: it's going into self and how can I unconditionally love self?
- 5:39Speaker 2: So there's been quite the journey for this part. And
- 5:42Speaker 2: so like you get on here and you talk about
- 5:44Speaker 2: staying neutral and also recognizing there's there is such there's
- 5:48Speaker 2: a lot of shifting going on in the world right now,
- 5:50Speaker 2: and we all feel it. It's like an earthquake in
- 5:53Speaker 2: a lot of ways for some people. And it's like,
- 5:55Speaker 2: no matter what, you can ignore it all you want to,
- 5:57Speaker 2: but you're gonna feel some sensation as you might feel
- 6:00Speaker 2: maybe a little bit more angry, you might feel perturbed,
- 6:02Speaker 2: you might feel sad, you might be there's all these
- 6:04Speaker 2: emotions that are coming forward because we're all in this
- 6:07Speaker 2: place of release. We're all in this place of evolution.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Even if it seems like people aren't evolving, they are.
- 6:14Speaker 2: They're evolving at their own pace.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's not always easy, is it that you know?
- 6:20Speaker 1: It's not like for us and it's not saying we're
- 6:23Speaker 1: better than anybody else. But we've just been working on
- 6:25Speaker 1: ourselves for several years now, and I feel, you know,
- 6:29Speaker 1: just keep getting better and better and doing my best
- 6:31Speaker 1: and at being better and better when I show up
- 6:33Speaker 1: in the world, and when you have people that live
- 6:37Speaker 1: with you or your friends or your coworkers, and they're yeah,
- 6:41Speaker 1: they're doing it at their own pace. And the struggle
- 6:48Speaker 1: and that from from my side of where I'm at
- 6:51Speaker 1: now compared to where I used to be with myself.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Getting them to understand.
- 6:58Speaker 1: You know, you just want to take away, say, don't
- 7:00Speaker 1: you understand the quicker you get this done, the better
- 7:02Speaker 1: meaning they're healing, the emotional mental healing. When they get
- 7:05Speaker 1: the sooner they can get that done and move through that,
- 7:08Speaker 1: how much more joy they're going to experience in their
- 7:10Speaker 1: life and so much ease and less stress and all
- 7:12Speaker 1: the things.
- 7:13Speaker 2: It's not my judge. I have to come to terms.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Every single time I'm meeting with something, I have to
- 7:18Speaker 1: come to the terms of not my responsibility. And they're
- 7:22Speaker 1: doing the best they can do right now, and they
- 7:26Speaker 1: just haven't grasped on to either letting go of the suffering,
- 7:30Speaker 1: doing their forgiveness, or deciding to do something different. And
- 7:37Speaker 1: the only thing I can do on a daily basis
- 7:40Speaker 1: to keep showing up as an example of life is
- 7:45Speaker 1: good when we can see it from a different perspective.
- 7:52Speaker 2: It's true when we can and sometimes you kind of
- 7:54Speaker 2: have to walk through the muck a little bit, so
- 7:56Speaker 2: I kind of maybe that's the only way that you
- 7:58Speaker 2: can explore things. One of the things that has come
- 8:01Speaker 2: up for me is like feeling disrespected, So then that
- 8:04Speaker 2: goes to that inner child thing, feeling feeling like you
- 8:07Speaker 2: can't trust others, feeling like someone is sneaking around on
- 8:10Speaker 2: you or not sneaking around, but that's not even the
- 8:14Speaker 2: right terminology. Feeling like something else is going on, or
- 8:17Speaker 2: feeling you know whatever. It's all these emotions and it's
- 8:20Speaker 2: like it really has nothing to do with anybody else.
- 8:22Speaker 2: It's all these old child wounds that need to be
- 8:26Speaker 2: looked at and find out why they're there, because otherwise,
- 8:28Speaker 2: if you're not looking at those things, if you're still
- 8:30Speaker 2: looking outside of yourself for all the answers, it's going
- 8:35Speaker 2: to be very short lived. The piece that you might
- 8:37Speaker 2: receive in one moment's going to be very short lived.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Versus going with it.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and always, unfortunately, fortunately I say that for both sides. Unfortunately, Fortunately,
- 8:51Speaker 1: it's always about yourself. Every situation is always about yourself.
- 8:56Speaker 1: And it's like son of a bitch Man again, really.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Exactly, it's our perspective, it's from all of our filters
- 9:05Speaker 2: that we've had experiences with all of them and most
- 9:09Speaker 2: of them are childhood. Yeah, and and it's it's interesting.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I think I've brought this up before.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I'm a club president of an organ nonprofit organization that's huge.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Well, we are a piece of a huge organization.
- 9:26Speaker 1: And I've done so much work on myself, so much
- 9:33Speaker 1: healing and within and the things that have been presented
- 9:37Speaker 1: to me already. My term started July first and we're
- 9:41Speaker 1: in November.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Some of the things have been presented to me so far.
- 9:49Speaker 1: It's not like it's it's not a big deal. It's
- 9:52Speaker 1: nothing of major concern to me.
- 9:57Speaker 2: I'm showing up.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I'm doing my best and that's all I can do
- 10:01Speaker 1: and lean on the guidance of those that have been
- 10:04Speaker 1: in the club longer than me. I am doing that,
- 10:08Speaker 1: and things will happen in some of the members, especially
- 10:11Speaker 1: the season members, you know, they've been in ten, twenty
- 10:16Speaker 1: forty years, and they'll come up to me and they're
- 10:18Speaker 1: like are you okay? Is there is there anything? And
- 10:21Speaker 1: I'm like, like, I look at them, like, like what
- 10:24Speaker 1: are you talking about? Like I don't understand what they're asking.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I do understand what they're asking me, But I'm like
- 10:30Speaker 1: the way they're seeing the situation of the way I'm
- 10:32Speaker 1: seeing the situation totally different because I have done so
- 10:35Speaker 1: much work on myself and and and they're still from that,
- 10:39Speaker 1: coming from that, seeing it from a perspective of being victimized,
- 10:44Speaker 1: like being attacked, and I'm just like, no, I'm good,
- 10:49Speaker 1: what kind of like why are you asked? Like? Am
- 10:54Speaker 1: I acting like there's something wrong or is because I
- 10:57Speaker 1: don't feel like I am. And I feel like I'm
- 10:59Speaker 1: handling at the paddling any situation the best that I can.
- 11:02Speaker 1: And so it's very interesting to be in that space now.
- 11:07Speaker 1: And I like to compare because I want to under
- 11:09Speaker 1: people to understand.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Had this been.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Five years ago, no, it would have been more of
- 11:16Speaker 1: a victim's side, not quite as harsh. But ten or
- 11:20Speaker 1: more years ago, oh my gosh, there's no way I'd
- 11:24Speaker 1: be able to handle it. I'd be in such a
- 11:26Speaker 1: different mental emotional space that there's no And first of all,
- 11:31Speaker 1: I'll just tell you this first and foremost, I wouldn't
- 11:34Speaker 1: even take in the position to begin with, not even
- 11:37Speaker 1: a thought like nope, I'm in the background, I'll be
- 11:40Speaker 1: the worker bee. I don't want any position on any
- 11:43Speaker 1: board or anything of leading any kind of leadership. No,
- 11:47Speaker 1: thank you. And here I am doing it and it's
- 11:52Speaker 1: only because of how much work I've done on myself.
- 11:57Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 12:00Speaker 1: And it's not like an overnight thing like this is
- 12:02Speaker 1: years of working on myself. And people want to have
- 12:05Speaker 1: a one and done, like they find the thing that
- 12:07Speaker 1: they think, Okay, this is the pill, this is the answer,
- 12:10Speaker 1: this is the the thing that's gonna help me lose
- 12:13Speaker 1: ten pounds overnight. No, it takes time. Your mental and
- 12:17Speaker 1: emotional healing takes time. And it's not an overnight. It's
- 12:20Speaker 1: not even a week, not a month. It's like it's
- 12:24Speaker 1: a freaking journey. It's a journey, and you have to
- 12:27Speaker 1: keep taking the steps.
- 12:28Speaker 2: You can't.
- 12:29Speaker 1: You have to keep going, you can't. It's like, you know,
- 12:33Speaker 1: I've heard so many people over the past two years
- 12:35Speaker 1: who have gone over and walked the Camino, which is
- 12:39Speaker 1: a pilgrimage, and it's miles miles long and days of
- 12:45Speaker 1: walking and sometimes by yourself, sometimes you have somebody next
- 12:49Speaker 1: to you, and you just keep taking one step after
- 12:53Speaker 1: the other and you don't stop you And that's what
- 12:56Speaker 1: life dislike. Journey is is like you just keep showing
- 13:00Speaker 1: gowing up, no matter how hard it might seem, or
- 13:03Speaker 1: even how easy or how joyous, you keep showing up,
- 13:06Speaker 1: and you just don't quit.
- 13:10Speaker 2: It's true.
- 13:12Speaker 1: And trust me, I wanted to quit so many times,
- 13:18Speaker 1: not so much anymore back in the day, oh girls,
- 13:21Speaker 1: and every day thought I don't want to do this anymore.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I hear you, I hear you. Yeah, I've had similar
- 13:27Speaker 2: experiences as well. And then it's like we'll kind of
- 13:32Speaker 2: go into like the health wise thing I've had something
- 13:36Speaker 2: like seven years ago I had some how would you
- 13:41Speaker 2: even say that? I had run myself a lot and
- 13:45Speaker 2: wasn't listening to myself a lot, and so I got sick.
- 13:49Speaker 2: And then so even lately something similar has happened, and
- 13:53Speaker 2: it's been like the last week. It's today's actually a
- 13:56Speaker 2: week since. It's all kind of transpired in this like
- 14:00Speaker 2: the stress that our bodies receive need support, so and
- 14:05Speaker 2: the only way we're going to get the support is
- 14:07Speaker 2: by supporting ourselves. I mean, it really is that support
- 14:09Speaker 2: of self. But doing all that, that's why I said
- 14:13Speaker 2: it's a freakin journey, because it's like seven years ago
- 14:16Speaker 2: I didn't have the same knowledge and experience that I
- 14:19Speaker 2: have now, so now when the feelings come up, I
- 14:21Speaker 2: can identify. Okay, I got to make sure I'm watching this,
- 14:23Speaker 2: make sure I'm breathing as far as food goes, make
- 14:26Speaker 2: sure that there's something in here because it's supporting the system.
- 14:29Speaker 2: So I have gotten focused on things outside of self,
- 14:34Speaker 2: and so self has brought me back into self by
- 14:37Speaker 2: not feeling well. And so if I'm trying to do
- 14:39Speaker 2: too much for others, or to do too much running
- 14:42Speaker 2: around or whatever it is, it's making me slow down.
- 14:47Speaker 2: I don't have a choice. We've talked about recently. I
- 14:52Speaker 2: don't know why. I'm kind of narrowing it down as
- 14:54Speaker 2: far as if I want to go from a five
- 14:57Speaker 2: D perspective to a three D perspective, I'm narrowing it
- 14:59Speaker 2: down on like the body needs essential aminos. It's like,
- 15:03Speaker 2: so when I start reading all this information that I
- 15:05Speaker 2: had seven years ago, that didn't make it made sense
- 15:08Speaker 2: to me, but it didn't make sense to me that
- 15:10Speaker 2: it does now, so you know, you process it again.
- 15:13Speaker 2: It's like reading an old book, right, You read an
- 15:15Speaker 2: old book and you gain new information from it every time.
- 15:17Speaker 2: So I gained a lot more information and I'm like
- 15:19Speaker 2: reading this information, I'm like, holy crap, Like just the
- 15:23Speaker 2: nine essential aminos, if you put it into your body,
- 15:26Speaker 2: would probably keel up so many other problems that you
- 15:29Speaker 2: think that you have. But instead we go to a
- 15:31Speaker 2: doctor's office. I went to a natural path and that's
- 15:34Speaker 2: how I even knew about this because she ran a
- 15:36Speaker 2: panel on it to check all those things. Most doctors
- 15:39Speaker 2: don't do that. And then you start looking at stuff.
- 15:41Speaker 2: If you're low in certain things, you're not sleeping at night.
- 15:44Speaker 2: If you're you're not, you could lose your hearing, your hair,
- 15:47Speaker 2: your skin, your elasticity, everything can be affected by these
- 15:50Speaker 2: essential aminos. And what is essential it's because now I'm
- 15:54Speaker 2: taking the time to look at it for myself. So
- 15:56Speaker 2: from a five day perspective, well, from a five deep perspective,
- 15:59Speaker 2: there is nothing wrong. But from the three D perspective,
- 16:02Speaker 2: I'm going up higher because it's like I'm fixing. I'm
- 16:05Speaker 2: healing the vessel. And right now, if we all stop
- 16:08Speaker 2: and taking a moment, we were recognizing our vessels need
- 16:11Speaker 2: to be healed because we've been carrying all this jump
- 16:13Speaker 2: with us for so long. So it's like a cleansing.
- 16:16Speaker 2: You go through these purging processes. I haven't hardly been
- 16:18Speaker 2: eating for probably the last month or two. I haven't
- 16:21Speaker 2: been hungry to eat for the last month or two.
- 16:23Speaker 2: So it's part of it. It's a journey. So it's
- 16:25Speaker 2: not like anything was ever wrong. It's just a journey
- 16:27Speaker 2: to the next thing. And so it's just being patient
- 16:31Speaker 2: and just kind of following, seeing what little nuggets come up.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Because if I'm if I was, if I'm like I
- 16:36Speaker 2: was last night, I'm not solution oriented. I'm not open
- 16:40Speaker 2: to receiving spirit coming in. I'm not into I'm into
- 16:43Speaker 2: all that stuff. And then Freeman tells me, well, think
- 16:47Speaker 2: about the great, amazing, beautiful day we had today while
- 16:50Speaker 2: I was in that space that I couldn't think about
- 16:51Speaker 2: that I would try treating. It's like, well, nope, not,
- 16:54Speaker 2: I can't do it right this moment and that and
- 16:56Speaker 2: you know what, that's okay that And then even like
- 16:58Speaker 2: Kyle Cecil would say, I'm angry and I love that
- 17:02Speaker 2: I've been disrespected, and I love that because it's not
- 17:05Speaker 2: to be. It's that's how we become neutral with these things.
- 17:08Speaker 2: So it's not controlling us anymore. It's learning how to
- 17:10Speaker 2: be okay. With those things because they don't matter because
- 17:12Speaker 2: it that really happened. No, but those are the feelings
- 17:16Speaker 2: that we have, and those are just feelings that we're
- 17:17Speaker 2: brought up from before. So they have an opportunity for
- 17:20Speaker 2: an outlet, so you don't have to carry it anymore.
- 17:22Speaker 2: You can you can play with it all day long
- 17:25Speaker 2: because it can totally monopolize your time perfectly. And I
- 17:29Speaker 2: even told one of my daughters recently, it's it's easy
- 17:32Speaker 2: for us to lose so much time in this moment
- 17:38Speaker 2: by being stuck in our heads, but by recycling stories
- 17:42Speaker 2: that aren't even true. But we build this stuff up
- 17:44Speaker 2: in our head, and it's it's like an avalanche.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Yep. I want to say one thing, and that were
- 17:52Speaker 1: we wrap it up because my barrier's about right and
- 17:54Speaker 1: die and I don't have my charger, so I gotta
- 17:57Speaker 1: get my charger. Kyle Cees. I think another reason why
- 18:03Speaker 1: he says that I've been disrespected and I love that
- 18:06Speaker 1: is because it gives you also the opportunity to say,
- 18:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna take ownership of this and figure out why
- 18:13Speaker 1: I am feeling the way I feel because I am
- 18:18Speaker 1: being disrespected, and so it gives me the opportunity to
- 18:20Speaker 1: lean into the healing side of it and look at
