- 0:03SPEAKER_00: We're on the clock, we're flying high.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Hot takes headlines of the truth to say.
- 0:07SPEAKER_04: Got my kitten heels, lip gloss afresh, and my medication got me feeling the best.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Every week, better check your phone.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna read the room.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna set the tone.
- 0:15SPEAKER_04: It's something you can feel from your head to your toes.
- 0:17SPEAKER_04: It's a truth serum.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: Are you ready for your dose?
- 0:21SPEAKER_04: It's a truth serum.
- 0:22SPEAKER_04: Are you ready for your dose?
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: The age-old question.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: Are you ready for your dose?
- 0:32SPEAKER_04: I am so ready for my dose.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Okay, guys, if we made coffee mugs during the Christmas time to buy, would you guys buy them if it was a coffee mug that said ready for my dose?
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: Tell me that's not good.
- 0:43SPEAKER_04: Ready for my dose, or are you ready for your dose?
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: No, ready for my dose.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Ready for my dose.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: It's the coffee.
- 0:50SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 0:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: I just feel like that would be good.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: And we would not sell them for like a really high price.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Like it's not really to make money.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: Like it's really to just like.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: It's just to spread Christmas cheer.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: So just know that big things are coming.
- 1:04SPEAKER_04: They are.
- 1:04SPEAKER_04: I was gonna tell you after the podcast, but someone just DM'd me and they were like, let's make this happen for Dom.
- 1:10SPEAKER_04: Like the Dom for Moms.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Oh, I saw that comment on the drive here.
- 1:14SPEAKER_04: Oh, it was a personal DM.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: Oh, they also commented.
- 1:17SPEAKER_04: Oh, okay.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:18SPEAKER_04: Oh, so you know.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: The print company?
- 1:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: I don't know who it is, but I saw the company.
- 1:23SPEAKER_04: But we appreciate it.
- 1:24SPEAKER_04: So I'm about to be DMing them back.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Dom for moms.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: Dom for moms.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: No, I love that.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: Um I'm like in a good mood today.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: I feel like a jolly good fellow.
- 1:33SPEAKER_04: Oh, freshly changed diaper.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, freshly changed diaper, wham wh.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: Like ready to pursue the world.
- 1:37SPEAKER_04: No, I feel amazing today.
- 1:39SPEAKER_04: We got our cotton candy grape slushes.
- 1:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:43SPEAKER_04: Not to be confused with the regular cotton candy that sends Dom to the hospital.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: Guys, I don't know what it is.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: I have an Alani every day.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: The regular cotton candy.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: I really enjoy how I look today.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: Sorry, just looking at myself.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: I don't know what it is.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: The cotton candy flavored Alani, not grape cotton candy, the cotton candy flavored Alani makes my heart go boom, boom boom, boom, boom, boom, boom base.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: Like I like I will take a sip and it's literally like like my heart, like like I get nervous, I black out, I go deaf in one ear.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: Like it throws me for a loop.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: And I actually looked it up on Google.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: I was like, why does only the cotton candy flavor Alani do this to me?
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: And it said something along the lines of there can be certain flavors that make your body more aware of the caffeine you're putting inside of you.
- 2:31SPEAKER_04: Oh, really?
- 2:31SPEAKER_04: Is that true?
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: I don't, it feels a little fine.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: It feels a little fake.
- 2:35SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it feels fake.
- 2:36SPEAKER_04: But I, since you love lists on your phone, I need to start a running list of the things that have put Dom in the hospital.
- 2:43SPEAKER_04: My favorite being a sweetheart rope.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: Have we talked about that?
- 2:48SPEAKER_04: We've never talked about a sweetheart rope putting you in the hospital.
- 2:51SPEAKER_04: I've I was bawling.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: Guys, I so growing up, I never had a cavity, nothing.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Like literally ever.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: I never had squeaky.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: And also, I was like, I have been deathly afraid of dental care.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's why he neglects it.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I neglected it because also the day I turned 18, my parents were like literally by the kicked me out of the nest.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: And I was 26, no insurance, nothing.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: They literally were like, we literally don't care about you.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Like you're like, the lights were off.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: They were struggling to care about me when I was 15.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: When I was eight, when I was born.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: Um, I came out of the womb and they were like, I can't wait for him to get off our insurance.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Um, so anyway, so I just didn't go to the doctor or the dentist for 10 years.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: And um that'll build.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: No, that'll build.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: And anyway, so we're sitting in the hot tub and I eat a sweet tart rope, and something just kind of like unlocks.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: And mind you, and it just feels like a little bit of like a ooh, like that's a little something.
- 3:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah, a little something.
- 3:43SPEAKER_04: But mind you, we've eaten like 42,000 packs of these sweet tart ropes.
- 3:47SPEAKER_04: We have a hyperfixation candy, and this was ours at the time.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: The there's something about a sweetheart rope.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: So anyway, so then it's just like, I don't know.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: I have, I would actually say I have a really high pain tolerance.
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I'll just take some Tylenol and go to bed.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: Like it'll go away.
- 4:03SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: So I am laying down, and this pain is overtaking my body.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: Like it is starting here, but it's the thing that started to freak me out is it is sinking into my neck.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 4:18SPEAKER_04: Headed towards his spine.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: And heart.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: So I looked it up, I was like, can a tooth problem like kill you?
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: And they were like, yeah.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: And I was like, oh, period.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: He was like, So it got to a point where the pain was so bad that I was like, I have to go to the hospital.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: And they had just left like 10, 15 minutes prior.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: So I texted them, I was like, guys, I have to go to the hospital.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Like, I literally, like, oh, I called my grandma.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: Oh, I called my grandma, she prayed for me, and I voicemailed it just in case I ever need it for an album outro one day.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, yeah.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Um and I like even though I'm in pain, I'm still a businessman.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: I'm still an artist, I'm still an artist at the end of the day.
- 4:58SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: So I feel funny today.
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: So anyway, so then I hey, so then um I go to the hospital and I'm like bopped.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: And they're like, and I look at, I'm looking out in the waiting room and they're like, this man, they're like, this man needs attention right now.
- 5:16SPEAKER_04: Immediately.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: So they bring me in, and here's the thing.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: I am a hypochondriac, meaning like when I have a headache, I'm looking up like brain tumor symptoms.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: When my tooth is hurting, I'm looking up, can this kill you?
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: Like I like, you know.
- 5:29SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 5:29SPEAKER_04: And thank God for that.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: So I need nurses and doctors around the world to be a little careful what they announce to the room because I'm sitting in that chair, and I hear one of the nurses go, We need to hurry before it gets to his heart.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: We need to hurry before it gets to his heart via sweetheart rope.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: Are you kidding me?
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: You're gonna really do that to me.
- 5:53SPEAKER_04: I'm like, almost dies via sweet tart rope.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, so they like drained my jaw.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: It was a lot.
- 5:59SPEAKER_04: It was a lot.
- 6:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 6:01SPEAKER_04: I got out of bed, I like ran and I met him at the hospital, and you would have thought he was struck by lightning.
- 6:08SPEAKER_04: Like it, like everyone was around him.
- 6:10SPEAKER_04: Like he was trying to get his insurance to be processed.
- 6:12SPEAKER_04: And I love attention.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: And I love attention, but like I just didn't, not at the risk of my health.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: Not at the risk.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: I want attention in every other way, not that.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: So then I took a photo of my wristband in the hospital.
- 6:25SPEAKER_04: Like, don't hit me up.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: Don't swipe up, yeah.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: So, anyway, so they save my life and I leave, and I'm like, I cannot believe that I almost died via sweet rope.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: But you want to know what pisses me off?
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: Insurance is literally a scam.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: I was there and I was like, Yeah, like they found my insurance, everything.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: And I was like, okay, so like what do I like what do I owe you guys?
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: They go, nothing.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: And they look at me with a grin ear to ear.
- 6:46SPEAKER_04: A grin, ear to ear.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I literally, this is Christmas Day.
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: I was like, I don't owe you guys anything to say.
- 6:51SPEAKER_04: You were scared I I was like, you were too jolly coming out of that thing.
- 6:54SPEAKER_04: You're like, almost died via sweet tart rope.
- 6:55SPEAKER_04: I owe nothing.
- 6:56SPEAKER_04: Like, I was a jolly phone.
- 6:57SPEAKER_04: So good.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: I felt like Peter Pan.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: I so I walk out, I'm like floating on pixie dust in my Bronco, and two weeks goes by and a bill for like$600.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, what is the point of you looking me in my grin and telling me that I owe you nothing just to send me a check six uh two weeks later?
- 7:18SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: And here's the other thing too.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: Have I paid it?
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: No.
- 7:21SPEAKER_04: No.
- 7:22SPEAKER_04: Allegedly.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: Am I getting no uh allegedly?
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: Allegedly, I have not paid it.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: Am I getting texts daily?
- 7:28SPEAKER_04: Absolutely.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: Which this goes into this could be a truth serum for me.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: I'm talking a lot today.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: I apologize.
- 7:33SPEAKER_04: Oh no, I love when you talk.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: Um if something's not like in front of me, it doesn't, it's not real.
- 7:40SPEAKER_04: You have object permanence that what babies have that like if I take away this Alani, like it you don't know you have an Alani.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: Ask me if I've paid a dollar of my student loans.
- 7:50SPEAKER_04: Allegedly.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: Allegedly.
- 7:52SPEAKER_04: No.
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: Because it's not in front of me.
- 7:55SPEAKER_04: It's not, you're not in school, you don't have a pencil and no pad in front of you.
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: I'm not waiting for my report card.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: No, you're not.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: So no.
- 8:03SPEAKER_04: It does not exist.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: Ask me how much money I owe to the Oklahoma Turnpike.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: Allegedly.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: Ask.
- 8:11SPEAKER_04: I would say an upwards of 76.
- 8:14SPEAKER_04: No.
- 8:15SPEAKER_04: Oh, oh, your pike pack's lapsed.
- 8:18SPEAKER_04: I don't have a pike pack.
- 8:19SPEAKER_04: I've never had one.
- 8:20SPEAKER_04: Oh, you're on plate pay.
- 8:21SPEAKER_04: I've never had a pike pack.
- 8:22SPEAKER_04: Oh, at$3 a pop.
- 8:23SPEAKER_04: Oh, hun,$400.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: Lauren, I freaking wish$2,900.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: That is how much money I owe to Oklahoma Turnpike and Texas.
- 8:33SPEAKER_04: Allegedly, yes.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: So I called and I was like, hey, like, I really need this to get taken down.
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: And the guy he knocked it down like$500.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: And I was like, thank you so much.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: Calls again in six months.
- 8:41SPEAKER_01: No, called back immediately after.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: New person.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: Hey, I really need this taken off.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: How do you take it down?
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: So right now I have it down to$600.
- 8:47SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: So I I still owe$600.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: Here's the thing, it's not in front of me.
- 8:50SPEAKER_04: It's not in front of you.
- 8:51SPEAKER_04: One thing about you, you can get something taken off.
- 8:54SPEAKER_04: You can neglect it.
- 8:55SPEAKER_04: Or and you can move a court date.
- 8:57SPEAKER_04: And also I've is today your court date?
- 9:01SPEAKER_04: I'm not even disappointed.
- 9:02SPEAKER_04: Tomorrow.
- 9:02SPEAKER_04: No bit.
- 9:03SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh.
- 9:05SPEAKER_04: Bernice Cowan will be a little bit more.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: Allegedly, allegedly, allegedly, allegedly, allegedly.
- 9:08SPEAKER_04: Allegedly, Bernice Cadene will be seeing him tomorrow.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: No, I leave for Nashville tomorrow.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: They won't be.
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: I guys, I have moved this court date for three months.
- 9:16SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 9:16SPEAKER_04: It's not in front of me.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: Here's the thing.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: I truly believe I'm their only case.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: And I think that the whole town is like very excited for.
- 9:24SPEAKER_04: If you've ever seen the Andy Griffith show, it is that.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's Shits Creek.
- 9:29SPEAKER_04: And he got pulled over and my cousin behind us.
- 9:32SPEAKER_04: It was two pullovers.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: And yeah, and I have pushed it every month.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: But like, sorry, like my tires are bald.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: My all four of my tires are bald right now.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: I need an oil change.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: Again, it is.
- 9:41SPEAKER_04: It's almost like I just need my tires to last until the 27th.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: I need my tires to last until 27th because that's how to get my next paycheck, like my big paycheck, like I'm unemployed.
- 9:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 9:50SPEAKER_04: I told him to go to Latino tires down at uh 31st and 169.
- 9:55SPEAKER_01: No, I'm going to.
- 9:55SPEAKER_04: I'll get you taken care of.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: But at this point, I'm going to be stitching together some leather and throwing it on that rim.
- 10:01SPEAKER_01: But um, but anyway, uh, yeah, if something yeah, so I almost died via sweetheart rope.
- 10:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 10:07SPEAKER_01: All's to say.
- 10:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah, all's to say.
- 10:09SPEAKER_04: Are you ready for your Riote?
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay, yeah.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: So if you're wondering, I know everyone is like super curious.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: They're like, why isn't a Ryote behind it?
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: The Ryote is the R-I-O-T-E, the random item of the episode.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: I don't have one today because I allowed Lauren to pick it, but she couldn't.
- 10:23SPEAKER_04: Do you get self-conscious sometimes that like she's not a little bit of a couple of things?
- 10:25SPEAKER_01: No one was self-conscious.
- 10:27SPEAKER_04: Oh.
- 10:28SPEAKER_04: And this is not a projection of how I feel it.
- 10:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 10:31SPEAKER_04: Damn, I'll just stop it.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: What were you gonna say?
- 10:33SPEAKER_04: I was gonna say sometimes you get self-conscious that he is like talking too much, taking over the episode, doing all this stuff at night, and it's very Hey.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: Oh Hey, I apologize for jumping in.
- 10:42SPEAKER_04: No, and I accept it.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:44SPEAKER_04: Wholeheartedly.
- 10:45SPEAKER_04: Okay, ready for your Riote?
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: Okay, so she brought five things.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: I don't know what's in there.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: Mary Poppins purse.
- 10:50SPEAKER_04: Oh, I forgot my cheese cube.
- 10:52SPEAKER_04: Okay, let me keep it.
- 10:52SPEAKER_04: And I'm gonna keep it.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: I'm glad that you like your cheese cube again.
- 10:55SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 10:56SPEAKER_04: Item number one you can pick from.
- 10:58SPEAKER_04: It is the red citrus lava from Better Homes and Gardens, which is an exact dupe for the anthropology volcano candle.
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: I love a volcano dupe.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:08SPEAKER_04: Like the exact notes.
- 11:10SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 11:10SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 11:10SPEAKER_04: We'll smell it to see if it's worthy.
- 11:12SPEAKER_01: No, I've okay.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: It's a good dupe.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:17SPEAKER_04: One is this bopped pumpkin decor that my cats have like um sprayed on.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: I'm just kidding.
- 11:23SPEAKER_04: They haven't sprayed on it.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: I don't even want that.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't want a wicker pumpkin.
- 11:27SPEAKER_04: No, it's a whip.
- 11:28SPEAKER_04: Is it a wicker pumpkin?
- 11:29SPEAKER_04: I feel like you just made that up.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: Did you say pumpkin?
- 11:32SPEAKER_04: Pumpkin, what?
- 11:33SPEAKER_04: I don't know when you're ears.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: I don't want this.
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: I know that this is about it.
- 11:36SPEAKER_04: All right.
- 11:37SPEAKER_04: Dang.
- 11:38SPEAKER_04: A Reese's noun.
- 11:39SPEAKER_04: But these are Reese's phone.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: We have to talk about Reese's nouns.
- 11:42SPEAKER_04: These are Reese's nouns.
- 11:43SPEAKER_04: Um, but I did eat the whole sack.
- 11:46SPEAKER_04: So there's two.
- 11:47SPEAKER_04: I in this is so fat, but I was like, I want the last two, but they need to be able to sit up on the table.
- 11:52SPEAKER_04: So I left the last two.
- 11:53SPEAKER_04: So let's make it quick so I can have these.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: Oh okay.
- 11:59SPEAKER_01: That we have to talk about Reese's nouns at some point.
- 12:02SPEAKER_04: One, two, three, four.
- 12:03SPEAKER_04: My fifth, there's actually six.
- 12:05SPEAKER_04: My fifth is this.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: I have three in my hand, how oh shool.
- 12:10SPEAKER_04: Um four is this Barenstein's Bears go to school book.
- 12:14SPEAKER_04: Like I was at the Brahms the other day with Dom.
- 12:16SPEAKER_04: Also, you guys.
- 12:17SPEAKER_04: I do like that book.
- 12:18SPEAKER_04: You guys need to sit.
- 12:19SPEAKER_04: No, I hate that book.
- 12:19SPEAKER_04: You hate that book.
- 12:20SPEAKER_04: You guys need to sit down with your friends at a fast food.
- 12:23SPEAKER_04: Like, don't get a drive-thru.
- 12:24SPEAKER_04: Literally just sit down.
- 12:25SPEAKER_04: Like you heard Chick-fil-A the other day.
- 12:26SPEAKER_04: You need more opportunities to advocate.
- 12:29SPEAKER_04: Um, but yeah, he read this book and he's like awful ending.
- 12:32SPEAKER_04: I hate it.
- 12:33SPEAKER_04: He was so mad at the ending.
- 12:34SPEAKER_04: So here's this.
- 12:35SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: And then I also didn't like it because it's called Go to School and it reminded me of my student loans.
- 12:40SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 12:41SPEAKER_04: Now it's in front of you.
- 12:43SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 12:44SPEAKER_04: The last is a Roku box.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: Are you really gonna bring up my trauma like this?
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: Is that why you got it?
- 12:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: Guys, my father worked for Roku.
- 12:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 12:55SPEAKER_04: What's your items?
- 12:56SPEAKER_04: Trauma, student loans, trauma, freeze nouns.
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: I will say this, they're all pretty bad.
- 13:04SPEAKER_01: Oh being honest.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: What?
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: Like for a random item of the episode.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: Like I don't know.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: It's a highlight that's wholesale on business.
- 13:15SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: He's like straight off.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Um, I'm gonna go with we're gonna go with see?
- 13:25SPEAKER_04: They're so good he can't even pick.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna go with the Bernstein Bears.
- 13:29SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 13:32SPEAKER_04: It's like the worst pick of the bunch.
- 13:33SPEAKER_04: I almost didn't put that in the sack.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: Well, I was gonna do the Reese's pumpkins, but I feel like you're craving to eat them.
- 13:38SPEAKER_04: No, I can't eat them right now.
- 13:40SPEAKER_04: I don't want to meet it.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: Reese's nouns.
- 13:42SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: So to dive into the Reese's Nouns, uh, is this gonna be the Reese's Nouns episode?
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: Like, do we really need to do that right now?
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 13:49SPEAKER_01: Let me put this behind me.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: Okay, so the Reese's Nouns.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: Also, I would like to adjust the elephant.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: I also I have the Squishy on the playmate today.
- 13:55SPEAKER_04: Yes, the Squishy community, guys.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: Is turn.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: Is turn.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: Guys, we met the most the kindest mom ever.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: She was at the Walmart like super late, trying to just get her daughter the squishy banana.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: But I really like this one.
- 14:08SPEAKER_04: They apparently It feels inappropriate.
- 14:10SPEAKER_04: I was about to tell her uh I was about to tell her tea.
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: I can't don't spill her tea.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: No, I was very protective about her or fun facts.
- 14:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah, she knows, yeah.
- 14:19SPEAKER_04: She knows the drops, and I can't release the locations and the drop times of the new squishies.
- 14:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, don't do that to her.
- 14:25SPEAKER_04: No, she needs to find the the banana.
- 14:27SPEAKER_04: I almost called Reese's banana.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: No, that woman was healing my um my mother wound.
- 14:31SPEAKER_04: Sorry, Tan.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: No, when I see a parent like do things for their kids because they like want to like do something for their kid, I'm like, uh, that's like sweet.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's you like care about your child.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: Enough to like see them happy.
- 14:46SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 14:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 14:47SPEAKER_04: But the bare minimum.
- 14:49SPEAKER_04: I love that.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: But the Bernstein bare minimum.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 14:55SPEAKER_04: That was pretty good, actually.
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: Oh no bad.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: Do you do you have anything from the week that you want to update everybody on?
- 15:01SPEAKER_01: Um I've been talking.
- 15:03SPEAKER_04: Mm-mm.
- 15:04SPEAKER_04: I would say no, I I feel great with my banter.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: Okay, good.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: I we're recording this on Wednesday because I leave for Nashville tomorrow.
- 15:13SPEAKER_01: And then I don't want to go anywhere for like a year.
- 15:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: Like my ears are clogged from like flying.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: Okay, we can get into our truth serums then.
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: So our truth serums.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: Oh, also I'm wearing a turnstile shirt.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: It just being a turnstile fan, it just makes you feel so much better than everyone.
- 15:35SPEAKER_04: Oh, I've felt so elite since that.
- 15:36SPEAKER_04: I've never felt a sense of elitism until going to that concert.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm just like, oh, like you listen to like like the top 10 like pop hits, which like this is coming from somebody whose number one song every year is Never Be the Same by Camila Cabello.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: But I'm like, this is like the first time of my life where I'm like, oh, like, you know what I mean?
- 15:54SPEAKER_04: It feels like we're part of something bigger than ourselves.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: Bigger than ourselves.
- 15:56SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and which we and we have two concerts coming up.
- 15:59SPEAKER_04: We're going um to one in Oklahoma City, which you guys should go to, and then one at ACL and seeing our bestie Trevor there.
- 16:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: And um, so I we were shopping and I saw this shirt at half of half.
- 16:12SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: And I got it, and I was like, Lauren's gonna be so mad that that she did not find this first.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna read the text I sent you the next morning.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: Hey, there was a part of me that was like, if this turnstile shirt is too small on me, then I'll give it to Lauren.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: I hate to break it to you, but I am absolutely tearing it up in this shirt, and I look undeniable.
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: So I am wearing it to breakfast this morning.
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: Prepare yourself.
- 16:37SPEAKER_04: And thank God he did.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: Because you needed to prepare yourself.
- 16:40SPEAKER_04: I need to prepare.
- 16:41SPEAKER_04: I was angry.
- 16:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 16:42SPEAKER_04: Uh, that's my shirt.
- 16:44SPEAKER_04: No, but I was promised merch.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: No, we're gonna get real.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: I I do I'm not sure, but I do think that this is like merch that somebody made like at home.
- 16:51SPEAKER_04: It's a print from the Macy's.
- 16:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's overstocked from Macy's.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they went to the mall kiosk where they have like the print, like the Obama shirts and the Trump shirts and like the uh I love my boyfriend shirts.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: Okay, let's get into our truth serums.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: Okay, which our truth serums are just it's just something we gotta get off our chest.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: And we're gonna start with Lauren today.
- 17:12SPEAKER_04: Oh wow, okay.
- 17:14SPEAKER_04: My truth serum is this I want everyone to get in the habit of drawing a circle around yourself.
- 17:22SPEAKER_01: All right, Patrick Star protecting himself from like the the bear.
- 17:26SPEAKER_04: I don't I don't know your little uh references right now.
- 17:30SPEAKER_04: Um but Aaron will know what I'm talking about because we were in the same um like community group, church group, uh marriage course.
- 17:39SPEAKER_04: It is such it was such a great like tool.
- 17:42SPEAKER_04: Um but anyway, this has got me in such a mindset state of being self-aware and seeing my parts to play in situations, okay?
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: Explain the circle.
- 17:55SPEAKER_04: I'm about to.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
- 17:57SPEAKER_04: So they a visual aid we had in class is um the instructor brought like a hula hoop, okay?
- 18:02SPEAKER_04: And they put the hula hoop around themselves and they said, This is all of the things that I can control.
- 18:08SPEAKER_04: And when you get in a situation, you need to like imagine you're like a you're drawing a circle around yourself and uh apologize for the things that were in your control, change the things that are in your control, um, this, that, and the third.
- 18:23SPEAKER_04: For example, let's just say I'm um I'm in a habit of being late, I don't prepare well, whatever.
- 18:30SPEAKER_04: And every single time I'm just like, oh, sorry, I was caught behind the train and I'm seven minutes late.
- 18:36SPEAKER_04: I'm so sorry.
- 18:36SPEAKER_04: I was caught like this happened, this happened.
- 18:39SPEAKER_04: And every time, like it was a different excuse for things outside, you know what I mean?
- 18:45SPEAKER_04: But if you draw a circle around yourself, you're like in that situation, how could I have planned better?
- 18:50SPEAKER_04: Like going backwards of like I could have woken up 45 minutes before and prepared for this, mapped the GPS to see different things.
- 18:59SPEAKER_04: Does that make sense?
- 19:00SPEAKER_04: And that applies to work, um, applies to helps you be more proactive.
- 19:06SPEAKER_04: It helps you um just see, like actually to give accountability for things.
- 19:12SPEAKER_04: Does that make sense?
- 19:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 19:13SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: And so are you being are you do you feel insecure about your teaching right now?
- 19:17SPEAKER_04: No, I just I just realized that as I was talking, I was describing you on accident.
- 19:21SPEAKER_04: And so I didn't want, I didn't, no, I'm not saying you're late all.
- 19:25SPEAKER_01: Perfect.
- 19:25SPEAKER_01: Let me give my example of somebody who should draw a circle around themselves.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: No, oh my gosh.
- 19:30SPEAKER_04: But I was getting I was getting nervous because I'm like, I mean, I'm describing you on accident.
- 19:34SPEAKER_04: Because you were like you weren't late today, but you had used the example of like the traffic, whatever.
- 19:39SPEAKER_04: But yeah, I did not, that's why I was nervous.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: I literally am not upset.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: Okay, nor did I think that.
- 19:45SPEAKER_04: But anyway, I want to teach you that really quickly um of how to do it like in a relationship, right?
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: Teach me?
- 19:51SPEAKER_04: No, not you.
- 19:52SPEAKER_04: The audience is here.
- 19:53SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 19:54SPEAKER_04: So um I used to react to what I'm given, and I would go based off of how someone else acts and how someone responds to me.
- 20:03SPEAKER_04: And even if I'm at the core of it and I have a tendency of doing this, this, this, I will wait to see how the person responded to me to see how I went going forward.
- 20:13SPEAKER_04: So if they didn't react well to the mistake I made, I would then punish them and be like, Well, you're not very understanding.
- 20:20SPEAKER_04: You're not very this, you're not very this.
- 20:22SPEAKER_04: This is a core issue with you.
- 20:23SPEAKER_04: Instead of being like, here, I'm hearing all of the things that you're saying to me in this moment, and I need to put my emotions to the side for a second and be like, Yes, I do need to apologize for this.
- 20:35SPEAKER_04: I apologize for this.
- 20:36SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 20:37SPEAKER_04: And then when a moment of cool down and be like, hey, going forward, I would appreciate if you approach this with kindness, if you approach this with this, instead of it being very reactive to the other person.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 20:49SPEAKER_04: You know, do you care?
- 20:51SPEAKER_04: You just think this is too deep.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: No, I I I think I don't have anything to say on it because I'm like, that's good advice.
- 20:56SPEAKER_04: Yes, yeah.
- 20:57SPEAKER_04: Same for work too.
- 20:59SPEAKER_04: I mean, like, you're getting in trouble and your employees not doing what they should be doing, and you're like, oh well, in the interview, they were so great, and I thought they were gonna be more proactive and more of this.
- 21:08SPEAKER_04: And it's like, have you looked at yourself and saw like, see the tools that you're giving?
- 21:12SPEAKER_04: Are you teaching them how to be proactive?
- 21:14SPEAKER_04: Because sometimes it needs to be taught.
- 21:16SPEAKER_04: That's all what I think.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: I realize what I'm feeling.
- 21:18SPEAKER_04: What?
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: I think I'm so stuck on the circle.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: Because it's more like a mirror, it's not really a circle.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: I would say I'm like, what does a circle have to do with literally anything?
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: Okay, what you said is incredible advice.
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: My mind went to the visual of the circle.
- 21:33SPEAKER_04: Okay, I love that.
- 21:34SPEAKER_04: It's great.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: Okay, so circle as in like focus around yourself.
- 21:38SPEAKER_04: Like I'm saying, like you draw a circle around yourself.
- 21:41SPEAKER_04: So that's a two part situation.
- 21:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 21:43SPEAKER_04: And you cut off in the middle because you draw a circle around yourself and you evaluate.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: But I just focus on me.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: And you focus on yourself.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: And what I did.
- 21:49SPEAKER_04: And what you did, and how you can go going forward.
- 21:52SPEAKER_04: There's been situations where I would have to apologize, and I'm just like, the only thing I did wrong in this situation with this other person is getting.
- 22:00SPEAKER_04: Get upset and react poorly and yell at them.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: Next time we fight, I'm gonna go like this.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: Oh I dropped it.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: Leave it to you.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: Leave it to you to twist to weaponize your advice.
- 22:12SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 22:14SPEAKER_04: As a a real housewives diss.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: I would never actually do that.
- 22:18SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh.
- 22:19SPEAKER_04: By what's yours?
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: No, I'm kidding.
- 22:22SPEAKER_04: I know.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: No, but you saying that, I also the other thing as you were saying it that I was thinking through was the times where you have um applied that.
- 22:33SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 22:33SPEAKER_04: I appreciate that.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: Because the way that you pursue um confrontations is so different than me.
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: And I think because it's not the same as me, it it almost like can feel you're not gonna like this word, and that's not what I mean.
- 22:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I'm not taking offense to things right now.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: Like calculated it in the sense of like something that can more rather what you're doing is you're being intentional about how you pursue it rather than calculate it.
- 23:02SPEAKER_04: But since I don't start at that place, it's kind of like, oh, you react a certain way, and then you can now suddenly apologize.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: I think that's not that I think you're calculated, but you know what I mean.
- 23:12SPEAKER_04: I think come off that way.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: Because for me, it's like I want it to just feel authentic.
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: I want you to say exactly what you're thinking.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: I even if you're saying something mean to me, like the way that my mind works is which you don't ever say anything mean to me.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: The way my mind works is I'm like, say the thing that you're thinking, even if it's harsh, even if you're blaming me because that's how you feel, but then you don't.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: And then in my mind, it's like, which we don't fight often.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: This is like, you know, the you know, with the I can kind of one hand.
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: Like, but because you don't, it's because you're drawing a circle.
- 23:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's because I'm drawing a circle.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: But I'm like, oh, rip the circle open and let it rip.
- 23:43SPEAKER_04: But also, too, one thing I have taught you though, in in those moments is that not everyone wants to let it rip.
- 23:49SPEAKER_04: Never not everyone wants to let it rip rip, and not everyone needs to, because there's certain things like you can, you know, you they teach you when you're small of like you can't keep putting band-aids.
- 23:59SPEAKER_04: You've always um What am I now?
- 24:03SPEAKER_04: Yeah, um, large on playing.
- 24:06SPEAKER_04: Oh, I'm playing.
- 24:08SPEAKER_04: Um my god, are you fake playing with your controller?
- 24:11SPEAKER_04: I know it's kind of fun.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: No, I'm listening.
- 24:13SPEAKER_04: Um, what I was saying was um that not everything needs to be said, and even if you are feeling it in the moment, you don't want to inflict a wound on someone else that just like because they're always going to remember it.
- 24:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah, even if it's like, oh, this is my honest thing.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: If I think because I'm down for someone to inflict a wound on me, I'm like, I'll patch it up.
- 24:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and me, it takes a long time to patch.
- 24:36SPEAKER_04: I'll'll just say draw a circle around yourself, don't draw someone else's circle around themselves.
- 24:42SPEAKER_04: I would never um never be self-reflective, and you will see an improvement in your workplaces, your relationships, and your life.
- 24:49SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: Look inward.
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: Look inward, look inward.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: Um, mine is um I give people two opportunities to read the room before I read it for them.
- 25:02SPEAKER_01: Let me explain.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: I feel like people do and say weird things to me.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: And I most times it's coming from a good place.
- 25:13SPEAKER_04: They just feel oddly comfortable and parasocial with you.
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: Which is so interesting because I remember for years it was the opposite.
- 25:19SPEAKER_01: Like, people would say, like, people just don't feel comfortable enough to like even like say hello to you.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: Like when I was like in high school and like early college.
- 25:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 25:26SPEAKER_01: Now people feel very comfortable.
- 25:28SPEAKER_04: They'll say everything.
- 25:29SPEAKER_04: Anything and everything.
- 25:30SPEAKER_01: I'm like, ooh, I don't know which one I prefer.
- 25:32SPEAKER_01: But people just and here's the thing for me is I'm very um, I'm not fake.
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: Like I like I I try to like let someone, I don't know.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: I I don't like to have false expectations with people to where they think like what they did is okay, or like what they said is okay, or like if they keep asking to like get coffee, like I'm not gonna go, you know?
- 25:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I give people two opportunities to read the room because I don't want to just like shut them down and be like rude or anything, but like, and I'm not talking about people who are genuinely just kind and being intentional.
- 26:03SPEAKER_01: I'm talking about people who are doing things that are genuinely like wrong and weird.
- 26:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: And when the third time comes around, I'm probably gonna let you know.
- 26:11SPEAKER_04: Always.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: And I can start crying.
- 26:15SPEAKER_01: This happened yesterday at the gym.
- 26:18SPEAKER_04: What happened?
- 26:19SPEAKER_01: Um, guys, yesterday at the gym, I I'm at the gym, right?
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: I've been out of town.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to get back on, you know, back on routine.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: I was just like bobbed.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: And like I my head hurt.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: Like, I just didn't, I had nothing in me, okay?
- 26:32SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: And I get to the hot tub after my workout, and it's just like the one part of my day where I am like relaxing for a second.
- 26:39SPEAKER_04: He loves that hot tub.
- 26:40SPEAKER_04: Ring a ringworm and all.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: This man gets in.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: I could start crying right now.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: This man gets in the hot tub and he says, Did you hear about the construction worker?
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: And I go, Wait, what?
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: And I go, No?
- 26:57SPEAKER_01: What happened?
- 26:58SPEAKER_01: Trigger warning, this is a little graphic.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: I go, no.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: And he goes, right outside.
- 27:04SPEAKER_01: He got split down in the middle.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: He goes, What?
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: He goes, from head to crotch.
- 27:11SPEAKER_01: He got split down the middle.
- 27:13SPEAKER_01: And I start hearing, I'm like, this person probably has kids, like, I'm like really upset.
- 27:19SPEAKER_01: And he goes, but he's gonna be alright.
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: And I go, How do you come back?
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: And I go, good.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: And he goes, alright.
- 27:28SPEAKER_01: Because he got split down the middle.
- 27:31SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: What?
- 27:33SPEAKER_01: And he goes busting out laughing like red in the face.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: Is this?
- 27:38SPEAKER_01: He goes, that's a joke I heard from a seven-year-old.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: I was like, I am looking at I'm sick.
- 27:48SPEAKER_01: At him.
- 27:49SPEAKER_01: I was not laughing.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: I wiped my tear.
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: I literally think like this.
- 27:54SPEAKER_04: Because you've never heard of someone be split from the head to cross.
- 27:57SPEAKER_01: Don't come to my house.
- 27:58SPEAKER_01: We're done.
- 27:59SPEAKER_01: Like I was so upset at him.
- 28:02SPEAKER_03: Cheese touch.
- 28:03SPEAKER_01: But I was as you hold the cheese touch.
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: I was, I'm like, you knew I was on my last straw today.
- 28:11SPEAKER_04: He was just like, this guy is radiating like BOPT.
- 28:14SPEAKER_04: And so let me just go ruin his name right now.
- 28:16SPEAKER_01: Read the room.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: Like, stop.
- 28:18SPEAKER_04: Okay, can I flip it?
- 28:19SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 28:20SPEAKER_01: Not to be like Maybe he tried to cheer me up.
- 28:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: I literally do not care.
- 28:25SPEAKER_01: You're going to tell me that an essential worker died.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: Possibly a father, possibly a husband, a son, a brother.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: A brother?
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: A friend?
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: Like that is not the route to do it.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: Here's another example.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: At the gym, I'm on the treadmill.
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: Incline.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: Not that slow.
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: Pretty fast pace.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 28:43SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 28:44SPEAKER_04: Somebody like a 4.6.
- 28:45SPEAKER_01: Somebody.
- 28:46SPEAKER_01: No, that's like a slow sprint.
- 28:47SPEAKER_01: It was like 3.6.
- 28:49SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 28:49SPEAKER_01: And an incline.
- 28:50SPEAKER_01: Somebody comes up to have a conversation next to me on the treadmill.
- 28:53SPEAKER_04: On the treadmill?
- 28:54SPEAKER_01: Meaning that I have to turn my head.
- 28:57SPEAKER_01: I stop it because you're coming to talk to me.
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: You also have vertigo.
- 29:01SPEAKER_01: So she's let me get into it.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: Let me get into that.
- 29:03SPEAKER_03: Oh, wow.
- 29:04SPEAKER_01: She says, no, keep going.
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: So I go, okay.
- 29:10SPEAKER_01: And I felt bad because I was like, I don't want to then stop and then make you feel bad that you're talking to me, even though you should feel bad.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: So then I keep going.
- 29:15SPEAKER_04: Did you have your bigotes?
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: I'm like this.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: On a treadmill.
- 29:22SPEAKER_04: Not to your left.
- 29:23SPEAKER_01: I almost passed out.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: I went, I literally halfway the I went deaf in this ear.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: I went blind.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: The second that I recalibrated to the front, I literally, whoa.
- 29:32SPEAKER_04: Wobble wobble.
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: I literally got sick.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: I threw up.
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: I threw up at the gym.
- 29:36SPEAKER_04: I know you did.
- 29:37SPEAKER_01: I can't have a conversation with somebody sitting next to me at a restaurant for more than five minutes without like losing my equilibrium, let alone Anna Trendmill on an incline.
- 29:45SPEAKER_04: Insane.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: With big old headphones on it.
- 29:47SPEAKER_04: I'm just like, he is the big that's the indicator.
- 29:49SPEAKER_04: He is the biggest silver headphones I've ever seen in my life.
- 29:52SPEAKER_04: Like you can see them from the moon.
- 29:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 29:54SPEAKER_04: If I see them on the phone.
- 29:55SPEAKER_01: I only go to the gym like to show people I have them.
- 29:58SPEAKER_04: So I was like, yeah.
- 30:01SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh, Dom.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: I just I genuinely think that it's crazy.
- 30:04SPEAKER_04: People were looking right, people were looking left.
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't know.
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I am a I actually am a social gym person.
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: I like to go and say hi.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: I like a little this.
- 30:14SPEAKER_01: I like a fist bump by like a dradu.
- 30:16SPEAKER_04: But it's a high bye or a high laugh by.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: It's a high, maybe laugh by.
- 30:20SPEAKER_01: To walk up to somebody while they're on the treadmill and encourage them to continue.
- 30:24SPEAKER_01: This person, she was not on the treadmill as well, like doing a workout.
- 30:28SPEAKER_01: She sat on my treadmill like this.
- 30:30SPEAKER_04: Uh-uh.
- 30:30SPEAKER_04: Not purged.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: Get away.
- 30:33SPEAKER_04: She was like a high, not even laugh.
- 30:36SPEAKER_04: Like a high stay for an expanded extended period of time.
- 30:39SPEAKER_01: High stay, build a house and live in it by.
- 30:42SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: Like I was like, are you kidding me?
- 30:45SPEAKER_01: You added another, you added another dimension of interaction.
- 30:48SPEAKER_04: She didn't.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: Like another tear.
- 30:49SPEAKER_04: And I'm pissed at her.
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: I no, I cannot forgive her.
- 30:52SPEAKER_04: No, I hate her.
- 30:53SPEAKER_01: And this person has a history of planting her feet into the ground in a conversation.
- 30:58SPEAKER_01: Like, you've got to go.
- 30:58SPEAKER_02: Oh, always.
- 31:00SPEAKER_01: Are you not a mother?
- 31:01SPEAKER_02: She's not.
- 31:02SPEAKER_01: So.
- 31:04SPEAKER_01: Anyway, also say, I give people two opportunities to read the room until I read it for them.
- 31:09SPEAKER_04: So did you read it for her or did you let that one slide?
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: I let it slide.
- 31:12SPEAKER_04: Sometimes you're but Dom for moms.
- 31:14SPEAKER_04: Like you are so sweet to a mom for some reason.
- 31:16SPEAKER_04: I know.
- 31:16SPEAKER_04: Not for some reason.
- 31:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:18SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 31:19SPEAKER_04: I have that same spirit.
- 31:20SPEAKER_04: That's why I'm not gonna talk about Alex Cooper today.
- 31:24SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: I love Alex Cooper.
- 31:27SPEAKER_01: But and I I love Alex Earl.
- 31:29SPEAKER_01: I haven't watched Earl Meet's World yet in full.
- 31:31SPEAKER_01: So I haven't like gotten like the fullness.
- 31:34SPEAKER_01: But anyway, that's my truth serum.
- 31:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: Should we get into our weekly doses?
- 31:38SPEAKER_02: I would love to.
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: Okay, our weekly doses are we both bring two pop culture headlines.
- 31:44SPEAKER_01: That means something to us.
- 31:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 31:46SPEAKER_01: So you can go first.
- 31:47SPEAKER_04: Okay, my first one is uh Lori Laughlin is officially divorcing Masimo.
- 31:54SPEAKER_01: Oh, so you are gonna talk about it.
- 31:55SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: I agree we should talk about it.
- 31:58SPEAKER_04: I was about to not because sometimes I like to have it be things I care about, but I realized I I drew a circle circler, circle around me in this moment, and I'm just like, you know, it's not about me.
- 32:10SPEAKER_04: It's about the public too.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 32:12SPEAKER_01: But I also think things can be about you.
- 32:13SPEAKER_01: Like people want to hear about what Lauren cares about.
- 32:15SPEAKER_01: But we can talk about this.
- 32:16SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 32:17SPEAKER_01: I am sad about this because I actually really like her.
- 32:20SPEAKER_01: I know that she had like a whole scandal with the college stuff.
- 32:23SPEAKER_04: Why are you sad about it though?
- 32:24SPEAKER_04: Okay, let me provide context.
- 32:27SPEAKER_01: Well, let me provide.
- 32:28SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying that they shouldn't get divorced.
- 32:30SPEAKER_04: No, no, no.
- 32:30SPEAKER_04: I'll provide context.
- 32:31SPEAKER_04: I will say that they filed, like they separated a year ago.
- 32:36SPEAKER_04: So this has been ongoing for a year and they just filed.
- 32:39SPEAKER_04: Like, so it's been a year of like them working through it.
- 32:42SPEAKER_04: She's been taking more jobs, doing more things.
- 32:44SPEAKER_04: I'm sure we're gonna see her on the Hallmark channel.
- 32:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I know.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying, but it's still a family breaking up, and I love her daughter.
- 32:50SPEAKER_04: I understand that completely.
- 32:51SPEAKER_01: But um, I remember when that college scandal happened, that was like the biggest thing ever.
- 32:57SPEAKER_04: It was, and there were so many families on that.
- 32:59SPEAKER_04: I'm not saying that she oh it didn't deserve the whatever, but I'm just saying it is crazy though, of like things people can get away with because they're not in the spotlight, right?
- 33:07SPEAKER_04: Versus as soon as that she it blew up.
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: That's the only one that I can literally quote like from the top of my head, that was a part of it.
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: I love her daughter.
- 33:15SPEAKER_01: When she was dating Jacob Ballorty, they're not dating anymore, right?
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: No.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: I oh yeah, because he's like with Kendall Jenner.
- 33:19SPEAKER_04: No, she bags some baddies.
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: I love her.
- 33:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 33:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:24SPEAKER_04: So yeah, that's that's just with John Stamos.
- 33:27SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh.
- 33:28SPEAKER_04: Please.
- 33:29SPEAKER_04: Was that a TikTok comment?
- 33:30SPEAKER_04: No.
- 33:31SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 33:31SPEAKER_04: Your original thought?
- 33:32SPEAKER_04: That's what I mean.
- 33:33SPEAKER_01: Why would I regurgitate a TikTok comment?
- 33:35SPEAKER_04: My gosh, I was just wondering.
- 33:36SPEAKER_01: I haven't even seen the one TikTok about her getting a divorce.
- 33:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I just saw it.
- 33:39SPEAKER_04: I just looked it up.
- 33:40SPEAKER_01: But um, I just feel like they are like like the soulmates.
- 33:45SPEAKER_04: I saw a clip where she he was really like going in on Massimo.
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: Um oh, on the podcast.
- 33:51SPEAKER_04: Yes, and she was just saying, like, he's the reason she went to prison.
- 33:56SPEAKER_04: Like, she not calling her completely innocent, but just being like But defending his woman.
- 34:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but defending his woman.
- 34:01SPEAKER_04: And now and he's single, right?
- 34:04SPEAKER_01: I don't know, but I think so.
- 34:05SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 34:05SPEAKER_04: It's time to get together.
- 34:09SPEAKER_04: Really?
- 34:09SPEAKER_01: That's how I feel about like if Zach Effran of Vanessa Hudgens ended up being together.
- 34:13SPEAKER_04: I just didn't like Full House.
- 34:15SPEAKER_04: It's such a low-hanging fruit show.
- 34:16SPEAKER_04: Like Friends.
- 34:17SPEAKER_01: I liked it at hey, we're not gonna talk about it.
- 34:21SPEAKER_04: I'll toss you a bone for a Thanksgiving episode.
- 34:23SPEAKER_04: I'll I I'll give you one of those.
- 34:24SPEAKER_04: I liked one of those.
- 34:25SPEAKER_01: There for people who don't like friends, you know, let's talk about this.
- 34:29SPEAKER_04: For people who don't like friends, Sex in the City, friends.
- 34:34SPEAKER_01: For people who don't like friends, awful.
- 34:37SPEAKER_01: For people who don't like friends, there is a four-episode stretch that I would love to show you to show you how good friends can be.
- 34:45SPEAKER_01: And if you're wondering what those four episodes are, spoiler alert if you don't know like the grand overall plot of friends.
- 34:54SPEAKER_01: Sure.
- 34:55SPEAKER_04: Joey brings home a baby instead of a loaf of bread from the store.
- 35:01SPEAKER_01: No, like no.
- 35:03SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: It is the But that sounded like a plot.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: It is the episode.
- 35:07SPEAKER_01: That's like a little moment.
- 35:08SPEAKER_01: That's not like a plot of a show.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: The four episodes is the episode before Monica and Chandler's wedding.
- 35:13SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 35:14SPEAKER_01: The two episodes of Monica and Chandler's wedding.
- 35:16SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 35:16SPEAKER_01: And then the episode after Monica and Chandler's wedding.
- 35:18SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: Those four episodes are genuinely incredible.
- 35:23SPEAKER_01: You'll have to find out.
- 35:24SPEAKER_01: Somebody's pregnant, you don't know who, and you lie.
- 35:27SPEAKER_01: Somebody lies about being pregnant.
- 35:28SPEAKER_01: You find out a few episodes in, you find out who the father is.
- 35:31SPEAKER_01: You find out at somebody's wedding.
- 35:33SPEAKER_01: You know what's hilarious?
- 35:34SPEAKER_04: I've watched this entire show.
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: I know, but that I'm saying this, I'm not I'm not saying it all for the audience.
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: I honestly, you telling me this is no information.
- 35:42SPEAKER_04: I know.
- 35:42SPEAKER_04: I was just saying that I've watched the entire show and I've literally object permanenced and it's gone.
- 35:46SPEAKER_01: If you watched those four episodes right now, you'd be like, that was good.
- 35:49SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 35:50SPEAKER_01: I just think that Friends is really good.
- 35:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 35:52SPEAKER_01: But also to say, I liked Full House when it was all we knew.
- 35:56SPEAKER_01: But I think if we went back and watched Full House.
- 35:58SPEAKER_04: I was watching, I feel like That's a Raven or something.
- 36:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, same.
- 36:01SPEAKER_01: But I think Full House was like a show that my parents also watched and it made me feel cool.
- 36:04SPEAKER_04: Oh, okay.
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: It was like, oh, like my parents.
- 36:06SPEAKER_04: Like all the denim jackets and stuff.
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: I remember when DJ Tanner passed out on the treadmill because she wasn't eating.
- 36:12SPEAKER_01: I was like, goals.
- 36:14SPEAKER_01: Me.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: Anyway.
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: Sorry, Lori.
- 36:17SPEAKER_01: Please get with John Stamos.
- 36:18SPEAKER_01: Yes, Scream Queen season three.
- 36:21SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 36:22SPEAKER_04: Amazing.
- 36:23unknown: Okay.
- 36:23SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 36:23SPEAKER_04: Yours.
- 36:25SPEAKER_01: Um, the 2026 Emmys happened.
- 36:27SPEAKER_01: Television's biggest night delivers historic wins, surprises, and star-studded moments.
- 36:33SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 36:34SPEAKER_01: Here's some highlights.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: Bad Bunny wins his first Emmy, and his Super Bowl halftime show sweeps all seven categories.
- 36:40SPEAKER_02: Amazing.

- 36:42SPEAKER_02: I loved it.
- 36:42SPEAKER_01: I forgot that like things like that can win an Emmy.
- 36:45SPEAKER_01: And deserved.
- 36:46SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 36:46SPEAKER_01: Genuinely deserved.
- 36:48SPEAKER_01: Um Julie Andrews makes Emmy history at 90.
- 36:51SPEAKER_01: Andrews won for her voiceover performance as Lady Whistledown in Richerton.
- 36:56SPEAKER_01: Are you serious?
- 36:57SPEAKER_01: Becoming the oldest person ever to win a primetime Emmy.
- 36:59SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh, that's amazing.
- 37:01SPEAKER_01: 90.
- 37:01SPEAKER_04: She's 90?
- 37:03SPEAKER_04: Lord protect her.
- 37:04SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 37:05SPEAKER_01: Stay indoors.
- 37:06SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 37:07SPEAKER_01: Stay indoors, Julie.
- 37:08SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: Wear a mask.
- 37:11SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 37:12SPEAKER_01: I'm nervous now.
- 37:13SPEAKER_04: Also, but also don't be so afraid to not live.
- 37:16SPEAKER_01: So true.
- 37:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 37:18SPEAKER_04: She needs to get out and like be in.
- 37:20SPEAKER_01: She needs to get out and be in Princess Diary Straight.
- 37:22SPEAKER_01: Three.
- 37:22SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: Oh my God.
- 37:24SPEAKER_04: Mine red.
- 37:25SPEAKER_01: Anyway.
- 37:25SPEAKER_04: Get out of your house, Julie.
- 37:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:27SPEAKER_01: Live.
- 37:28SPEAKER_04: My gosh.
- 37:29SPEAKER_01: Um, no one's ever on their deathbed saying, I wish I did less.
- 37:33SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 37:34SPEAKER_01: Um, the traitors just don't cough on her.
- 37:37SPEAKER_01: Oh, if oh, if somebody coughs within a 10-foot radius of Julie Andrews, they should go to jail for a hate crime.
- 37:44SPEAKER_04: Oh, absolutely.
- 37:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:46SPEAKER_01: The Traitors has an Emmy sweep, and Alan Cummings wins again.
- 37:50SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh.
- 37:51SPEAKER_04: The reality competition.
- 37:52SPEAKER_01: Picked up six awards.
- 37:52SPEAKER_01: Tretros.
- 37:53SPEAKER_04: Treaters.
- 37:54SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh.
- 37:55SPEAKER_04: Floop?
- 37:56SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 37:57SPEAKER_01: What is Floop?
- 37:58SPEAKER_01: FLARP.
- 37:59SPEAKER_04: Oh no, Floop was uh his name in uh Spy Kids, right?
- 38:02SPEAKER_01: Oh, I thought you were talking about the Play-Doh at the Walmart last night.
- 38:05SPEAKER_01: FARP.
- 38:06SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 38:06SPEAKER_04: No.
- 38:07SPEAKER_01: Wait, he was in other things?
- 38:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he was the thumb.
- 38:09SPEAKER_04: Or he he was the captain of the thumbs in the um Oh oh oh.
- 38:14SPEAKER_01: I completely forgot about that.
- 38:16SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 38:17SPEAKER_01: Good for him.
- 38:17SPEAKER_04: Captain Thumb.
- 38:18SPEAKER_01: Sabrina Carpenter wins her first Emmy.
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: Oh beating Taylor Swift.
- 38:23SPEAKER_01: Carpenter won for the Muppet Show.
- 38:25SPEAKER_04: Oh, really?
- 38:27SPEAKER_01: What are the Emmys?
- 38:28SPEAKER_04: I can I just what's the elephant in the room?
- 38:30SPEAKER_04: What's the Emmys?

- 38:35SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 38:35SPEAKER_04: That's what I'm just like, what are the things?
- 38:36SPEAKER_01: Not movies, not music.
- 38:37SPEAKER_01: I mean music for TV, but yeah, television.
- 38:40SPEAKER_04: Okay, Muppet Show.
- 38:41SPEAKER_01: Okay, and then Phaedra Parks and CT officially debut as a couple at the Emmys.
- 38:45SPEAKER_01: I feel like you don't care about this.
- 38:46SPEAKER_01: I love Phaedra Parks.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: Crazy.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 38:49SPEAKER_01: I cannot believe that they're actually together, and I also am obsessed with it.
- 38:54SPEAKER_04: What's the backstory, quick?
- 38:56SPEAKER_01: They both were on Traders Together.
- 38:58SPEAKER_01: Phaedra.
- 38:58SPEAKER_01: Traitors is what like reset Phaedra to the public eye.
- 39:01SPEAKER_01: Because Phaedra got canceled.
- 39:02SPEAKER_04: Was she on the outs?
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: Phaedra, yes.
- 39:05SPEAKER_01: Phaedra on the Real Housewives of Atlanta lied about her best friend, saying that her best friend drugged and trigger warnings?
- 39:14SPEAKER_01: Drugged and something else, another cast member.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: Oh, wow.
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: Or like or like wanted to.
- 39:18SPEAKER_02: And she was able to come back.
- 39:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 39:21SPEAKER_01: And she's a lawyer.
- 39:21SPEAKER_01: So it was like, girl, what are you doing?
- 39:23SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: So she got like fired and canceled.
- 39:27SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 39:27SPEAKER_01: Anyway, so I think she gets put on traders and everyone's just like obsessed with her, which I love Phaedra.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: So, but CT is like this like six, five, I don't know if he's six five, but he's like tall, white guy, like not like anything we've ever seen Phaedra with.
- 39:41SPEAKER_01: And she they had like a playful like friendship on the show.
- 39:46SPEAKER_01: Um, and now they're actually dating.
- 39:48SPEAKER_01: And it's like two years later.
- 39:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 39:49SPEAKER_03: I love that.
- 39:50SPEAKER_01: I think it's crazy, but I love it.
- 39:52SPEAKER_01: He's from like Survivor or something like that.
- 39:54SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 39:54SPEAKER_01: He's like from another show, like that.
- 39:56SPEAKER_04: I love that.
- 39:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think it's great.
- 39:58SPEAKER_01: Go off Emmys.
- 39:59SPEAKER_01: Ask me if I've ever watched the Emmys.
- 40:01SPEAKER_04: Never.
- 40:01SPEAKER_04: Never once.
- 40:02SPEAKER_04: Never once.
- 40:02SPEAKER_01: And I've never once watched the Emmys.
- 40:04SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 40:04SPEAKER_04: Was there any other moments, or those are the moments for the?
- 40:06SPEAKER_01: Those are the ones we would care about.
- 40:07SPEAKER_01: The other ones had names I didn't know.
- 40:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 40:09SPEAKER_01: Oh, like the bear one.
- 40:10SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 40:11SPEAKER_01: You watch the bear?
- 40:11SPEAKER_01: I don't.
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: Me either.
- 40:12SPEAKER_04: Too much screaming.
- 40:13SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 40:14SPEAKER_04: I just stop caring when you scream so much and when you're so upset all of the time.
- 40:18SPEAKER_04: And like I'm just like, go to smoke yourself.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: It just takes a lot for me to watch a scripted show.
- 40:22SPEAKER_01: Like, I only watch reality.
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: Which I guess reality gets nominated at the Emmys.
- 40:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 40:27SPEAKER_04: They don't win anything.
- 40:28SPEAKER_01: Traitors.
- 40:29SPEAKER_04: Oh, just traitors.
- 40:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 40:30SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: I Beverly Hills or Kardashians, I feel like always wins something.
- 40:35SPEAKER_01: Something.
- 40:35SPEAKER_01: But anyway.
- 40:36SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 40:37SPEAKER_01: Cheers.
- 40:38SPEAKER_04: My next one is this is a little old, but Kelly Kelly Clarkson's talk show.
- 40:46SPEAKER_04: Let me restart.
- 40:47SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, she's crying.
- 40:48SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh.
- 40:49SPEAKER_01: Wait, she's crying.
- 40:50SPEAKER_04: Wait, one second.
- 40:53SPEAKER_04: I feel lozenge.
- 40:54SPEAKER_04: One second.
- 40:56SPEAKER_04: Kelly Clarkson's talk show is officially ending, and she just had her last episode.
- 41:01SPEAKER_01: It was sweet.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 41:03SPEAKER_01: So they pulled her kids up.
- 41:04SPEAKER_01: Like with her.
- 41:06SPEAKER_01: And she asked her kids, like, what was your favorite thing about like the show or whatever?
- 41:11SPEAKER_01: And her daughter says something along the lines of my favorite thing was watching you shine.
- 41:17SPEAKER_01: I was like, who told you?
- 41:18SPEAKER_03: Wait, did she actually say that?
- 41:19SPEAKER_01: She literally said that.
- 41:20SPEAKER_03: How old is she?
- 41:21SPEAKER_01: I don't know, like one or like nine or ten.
- 41:23SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 41:23SPEAKER_01: I don't know kids' ages.
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: They're all like four.
- 41:26SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh.
- 41:27SPEAKER_01: They're like Dom, she's 16.
- 41:28SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 41:29SPEAKER_04: You might not laugh at this.
- 41:30SPEAKER_04: Have you ever seen that meme of like that baby on the gas pump?
- 41:34SPEAKER_04: And it was just like, my daughter said she wanted to pump gas for me because she said I had a long day at work or something like that.
- 41:42SPEAKER_01: And it's a girl.
- 41:43SPEAKER_01: She did not say that.
- 41:44SPEAKER_04: It's your one-year-old daughter pumping gas.
- 41:46SPEAKER_01: I have people in my life that do that on social media.
- 41:48SPEAKER_04: Speaking of that, you know what's so turned to me?
- 41:51SPEAKER_04: Is when a like one of the partners like posts for the other person on Instagram and they have a curated Instagram.
- 41:59SPEAKER_01: I know somebody who accidentally posted it on their own account.
- 42:06SPEAKER_04: Really?
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: She went to go post about herself on her husband's page.
- 42:10SPEAKER_04: Happy anniversary, baby.
- 42:11SPEAKER_01: And she posted it on her own.
- 42:15SPEAKER_04: Oh no.
- 42:16SPEAKER_01: I was like, are you kidding?
- 42:19SPEAKER_04: It is kind of turrent.
- 42:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 42:21SPEAKER_04: I'm missing that.
- 42:22SPEAKER_04: We're not missing that.
- 42:23SPEAKER_04: People still do that all the time.
- 42:24SPEAKER_04: Like when there's a if my husband ever posted on Instagram, it's it would be from me.
- 42:29SPEAKER_04: Like he has zero posts and zero likes.
- 42:31SPEAKER_04: Um, but I love that.
- 42:32SPEAKER_04: And I love a joint email.
- 42:34SPEAKER_04: Like Carrie in Jason.
- 42:35SPEAKER_01: Or a joint Facebook.
- 42:37SPEAKER_01: A joint Facebook.
- 42:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 42:38SPEAKER_04: I love that.
- 42:39SPEAKER_01: Anyway.
- 42:40SPEAKER_04: Anyway.
- 42:41SPEAKER_04: So Kelly Clark and show ending.
- 42:44SPEAKER_01: I uh she definitely is like MBC's like darling because she's doing she had her own talk show.
- 42:51SPEAKER_01: She's doing the voice.
- 42:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 42:52SPEAKER_01: But she's still doing the voice.
- 42:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 42:54SPEAKER_01: I'm pretty sure.
- 42:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she is.
- 42:55SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 42:56SPEAKER_01: No, she's not.
- 42:57SPEAKER_01: Oh, wait, I think this is her last season because the next one's like Queen Latifah.
- 43:00SPEAKER_04: So what is she is that is that the celebrity version or is there two?
- 43:03SPEAKER_01: So I'm a little confused on the versions.
- 43:06SPEAKER_01: The normal version, the not celebrity one, I think is Queen Latifah and that Riley Green guy, but not um not Joe.
- 43:14SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 43:15SPEAKER_01: Joe Jonas and Kiki are only on the celebrity one.
- 43:17SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 43:18SPEAKER_01: That makes sense.
- 43:18SPEAKER_01: That's why I'm watching.
- 43:19SPEAKER_01: And Queen.
- 43:20SPEAKER_03: That makes sense.
- 43:20SPEAKER_01: And Queen Latif.
- 43:22SPEAKER_03: Queen Lative.
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: But um sad, I feel like it's a I feel like she actually had it.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: I feel like she it was a very impactful show.
- 43:28SPEAKER_01: It was.
- 43:29SPEAKER_01: I feel like her doing like the Keleoke was huge.
- 43:32SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna miss the Kellyokis.
- 43:34SPEAKER_01: I hope that she still like maybe does them.
- 43:36SPEAKER_04: Sings better than every celebrity ever.
- 43:38SPEAKER_01: Every person ever.
- 43:38SPEAKER_04: Ever.
- 43:39SPEAKER_04: Best covers.
- 43:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 43:41SPEAKER_01: Um give her slot to Kiki Palmer.
- 43:45SPEAKER_01: Like, I I don't know what to tell you.
- 43:47SPEAKER_01: Give her slot to Kiki Palmer.
- 43:49SPEAKER_04: She needs it.
- 43:50SPEAKER_04: That's that is her slot.
- 43:51SPEAKER_01: And now she's working with like NBC doing the voice.
- 43:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that it's she's gonna have it.
- 43:55SPEAKER_04: Within the next year, we're gonna be able to do that.
- 43:56SPEAKER_01: I really feel like she could and will.
- 43:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 43:59SPEAKER_01: Her podcast.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: I need to start listening to her podcast.
- 44:02SPEAKER_01: You do.
- 44:03SPEAKER_01: Because I'm a clipper.
- 44:04SPEAKER_01: I listen to her clips.
- 44:05SPEAKER_01: And she's just so magnetic.
- 44:07SPEAKER_01: It is so much.
- 44:08SPEAKER_04: I'm so happy she had Raven and Her Wife back on the other day.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: 1999.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: 1999.
- 44:14SPEAKER_01: 1999.
- 44:15SPEAKER_01: You'd never turn on the Dizzy Channel in 2001?
- 44:18SPEAKER_01: In a 1999.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: Obsessed with it.
- 44:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:23SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 44:24SPEAKER_01: I also love when she goes, um, yeah, she almost burned that man's scalp off.
- 44:27SPEAKER_01: Rest in peace.
- 44:28SPEAKER_01: I've never seen that.
- 44:29SPEAKER_01: He tried the Michael Pepsi you.
- 44:31SPEAKER_01: You never seen that?
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: But we gotta check.
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: Oh, wait, no, I've said that on this podcast already.
- 44:35SPEAKER_01: I'm embarrassed.
- 44:36SPEAKER_04: Don't be embarrassed.
- 44:37SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 44:38SPEAKER_01: Awesome.
- 44:39SPEAKER_01: Love you, Kelly.
- 44:40SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 44:41SPEAKER_01: Um, famous TikToker and Jesse Draper's best friend, Dom DeMeyo, comes at Demi on Instagram.
- 44:49SPEAKER_01: I'm just kidding.
- 44:49SPEAKER_01: Yes, let's address the elephant in the room, everyone.
- 44:52SPEAKER_01: I was on a headline this week.
- 44:53SPEAKER_04: He was on a headline this week.
- 44:55SPEAKER_01: I literally posted the comment, closed my phone, opened my phone minutes later, and there it was.
- 45:01SPEAKER_01: I my face was in my palms.
- 45:03SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh.
- 45:04SPEAKER_04: I love headlines like that.
- 45:06SPEAKER_01: I also was like embarrassed because they said famous TikToker, and I'm like, guys, like I don't see myself that way.
- 45:11SPEAKER_01: Like, I did not submit this.
- 45:13SPEAKER_04: I think what they meant to say was like a prominent TikTok figure.
- 45:19SPEAKER_01: Which I am not.
- 45:20SPEAKER_04: To me, you are, and to the public, you are.
- 45:22SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, to the public of like our like 10 mile radius, which I'm very thankful for.
- 45:27SPEAKER_04: I think in the grand scheme of things, of like you don't see your like 22,000 followers.
- 45:33SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 45:33SPEAKER_04: Like you don't even see people with millions, but people don't be following these days.
- 45:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 45:38SPEAKER_04: Like that does not encapsulate all of the fans you have.
- 45:42SPEAKER_04: You know what I'm saying?
- 45:43SPEAKER_01: Whatever.
- 45:43SPEAKER_01: But it just made me, it genuinely made me laugh.
- 45:46SPEAKER_04: I love that headline.
- 45:46SPEAKER_01: Anyway, okay, so that's all I'm saying.
- 45:47SPEAKER_04: Keep the headlines coming and make sure they're always kind.
- 45:50SPEAKER_01: Please, always.
- 45:50SPEAKER_04: Or I'm attacking networks.
- 45:52SPEAKER_01: Okay, so my actual second story is Billboard releases the top 10 songs of the summer for 2026.
- 45:58SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 45:58SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 45:59SPEAKER_01: Number one is choosing Texas.
- 46:05SPEAKER_01: Why is it called Choose in Texas?
- 46:08SPEAKER_04: She's choosing Texas, I can tell, I guess.
- 46:10SPEAKER_04: She's choosing.
- 46:11SPEAKER_01: He's I don't think the word the lyrics are choosing.
- 46:14SPEAKER_04: I think it's I thought it is.
- 46:16SPEAKER_01: I thought it was he's from Texas, I can tell.
- 46:19SPEAKER_04: That's why there's more lines than just that one in the song.
- 46:22SPEAKER_01: You just said choosing Texas, I can tell.
- 46:25SPEAKER_04: She's choosing oh, I'm getting so good at singing.
- 46:28SPEAKER_04: Dom's been teaching me.
- 46:29SPEAKER_04: She's choosing Texas, I can tell.
- 46:33SPEAKER_04: Oh, whoa.
- 46:35SPEAKER_01: I just didn't know choosing was in there.
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: Number two, I knew it, I knew you.
- 46:40SPEAKER_01: I number two, are you sure?
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: That's the Taylor Swift song for the first time.
- 46:44SPEAKER_04: Oh, from Twitter 5.
- 46:46SPEAKER_01: Be Her.
- 46:47SPEAKER_01: What is be her?
- 46:48SPEAKER_04: I just want to be her.
- 46:49SPEAKER_04: It's so bad.
- 46:50SPEAKER_04: So bad it.
- 46:52SPEAKER_01: Am I getting old?
- 46:52SPEAKER_04: Ella Langley, same girl.
- 46:55SPEAKER_04: I watch kids every week.
- 46:56SPEAKER_01: So hate that I made you love me.
- 46:59SPEAKER_01: I get it.
- 47:00SPEAKER_01: Um, Janice, S-T-F-U.
- 47:03SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 47:04SPEAKER_01: Teach me, baby.
- 47:07SPEAKER_01: Oh, wait.
- 47:08SPEAKER_01: I can't sing Drake on the song.
- 47:10SPEAKER_01: I don't support Drake.
- 47:11SPEAKER_01: Boston.
- 47:12SPEAKER_01: Train at him, Boston as a people are so mean to her.
- 47:16SPEAKER_01: I like that song.
- 47:17SPEAKER_04: We heard her set at um we walked past her set.
- 47:20SPEAKER_01: We did?
- 47:21SPEAKER_04: After we left Turnstyle, heading towards Table Cray.
- 47:24SPEAKER_04: That was her on that stage.
- 47:26SPEAKER_01: Oh, good for her.
- 47:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 47:28SPEAKER_01: Um, I Can't Love You Anymore.
- 47:30SPEAKER_04: Don't know it.
- 47:31unknown: I can't.
- 47:32SPEAKER_04: By who?
- 47:33SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 47:34SPEAKER_01: So easy to fall in love, Olivia Dean.
- 47:37SPEAKER_01: I feel like that should have been up.
- 47:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:38SPEAKER_01: You know that song?
- 47:39SPEAKER_02: Easy to fall in love.
- 47:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:43SPEAKER_01: You don't?
- 47:44SPEAKER_01: I do.
- 47:44SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 47:45SPEAKER_01: Man I need Olivia Olivia Dean.
- 47:47SPEAKER_02: Great.
- 47:47SPEAKER_01: And then Dracula.
- 47:49SPEAKER_01: And the man.
- 47:53SPEAKER_01: Speaking of songs.
- 47:54SPEAKER_04: Mm-hmm.
- 47:56SPEAKER_01: That was the top ten songs of the summer make sure I look good.
- 48:00SPEAKER_04: Was that of the summer?
- 48:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 48:03SPEAKER_01: There is something I need to say on this podcast before Benito Skinner says it on his.
- 48:07SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 48:11SPEAKER_01: Every single night.
- 48:14SPEAKER_01: I pray that my I say.
- 48:17SPEAKER_01: Moon Lawn Rouge, my corset is so tight.
- 48:20SPEAKER_01: Baby girl in control.
- 48:22SPEAKER_01: I feel like Nicole.
- 48:25SPEAKER_01: Every single day.
- 48:27SPEAKER_01: I wake up.
- 48:28SPEAKER_01: The world is my buffet.
- 48:30SPEAKER_01: I fly out another stage.
- 48:34SPEAKER_01: Baby girl in control.
- 48:36SPEAKER_01: I feel like Nicole.
- 48:40SPEAKER_01: Ah.
- 48:43SPEAKER_04: Corsetta is so tight.
- 48:45SPEAKER_01: That is a monologue from Nicole Kidman by Adela.
- 48:49SPEAKER_04: Which I went on a rabbit hole of Adela, and I did not know she was from Dan.
- 48:53SPEAKER_04: I did not know anything about her.
- 48:55SPEAKER_04: But she's great.
- 48:56SPEAKER_01: Isn't it crazy we also watched her set at Lola Blue?
- 48:59SPEAKER_01: That is crazy.
- 48:59SPEAKER_01: While we were sitting at the ballot, I feel like she had her point shoes on for ballet.
- 49:03SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 49:03SPEAKER_04: I love oh my gosh, I'm obsessed with the change law.
- 49:05SPEAKER_01: Isn't that crazy that we watched her set?
- 49:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 49:08SPEAKER_01: Insane.
- 49:08SPEAKER_04: Insane.
- 49:09SPEAKER_01: She's not just A N L A.
- 49:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 49:12SPEAKER_01: You know what I learned about you?
- 49:13SPEAKER_04: What?
- 49:14SPEAKER_01: You have to understand a song to like it, I think.
- 49:16SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 49:16SPEAKER_01: For example, I remember, and I'm gonna do it right now.
- 49:22SPEAKER_04: I have to meet someone in person.
- 49:24SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 49:24SPEAKER_01: There's two things.
- 49:25SPEAKER_01: For her to care about a reality show, she has to meet them in person.
- 49:28SPEAKER_04: Or any show.
- 49:29SPEAKER_01: Like when I introduced her to Cynthia Bailey and Crystal Kung Ming Goff, she suddenly wanted to watch Housewives.
- 49:33SPEAKER_01: What I also learned is that Lauren has to understand a song to like it.
- 49:37SPEAKER_01: For example, she did not care about Girl So She did not care about Girl So Confusing by Charlie X and Lauren.
- 49:46SPEAKER_04: I was just like, what's this racket?
- 49:48SPEAKER_01: Until I explained the song.
- 49:50SPEAKER_01: So I had to explain it to her.
- 49:52SPEAKER_01: Well, honestly, I was speechless when I woke up to your voice note.
- 49:56SPEAKER_01: Literally, she was speechless.
- 49:57SPEAKER_01: You woke up from a voice note from Charlie XCX, okay?
- 49:59SPEAKER_01: This is Lauren.
- 50:00SPEAKER_01: You told me how you'd been feeling.
- 50:01SPEAKER_01: Let's work it out on the remix.
- 50:03SPEAKER_01: That's what this is.
- 50:03SPEAKER_01: That's who that's where we are now.
- 50:05SPEAKER_01: You'd always say, let's go out, but then I'd cancel last minute.
- 50:08SPEAKER_01: She was inviting her and she didn't want to go.
- 50:10SPEAKER_01: I was so lost in my head and scared to be in your pictures.
- 50:12SPEAKER_01: Laura did not want to be photographed with Charlie.
- 50:14SPEAKER_01: Because for the last couple years, I've been at war in my body.
- 50:17SPEAKER_01: I tried to starve myself thinner and then I gained all the weight back.
- 50:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 50:21SPEAKER_01: Like self-explanatory.
- 50:22SPEAKER_01: I was trapped in the hatred, and your life seems so awesome.
- 50:25SPEAKER_01: I never thought for a second your voice was in my head, girl.
- 50:30SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 50:30SPEAKER_01: And then when you understood the context, you suddenly liked the song.
- 50:35SPEAKER_04: Because I didn't understand who Charlie was talking about.
- 50:38SPEAKER_01: I know it's crazy having a pop culture podcast and not- She didn't understand that Lord and Charlie were genuinely working out their beef on this song.
- 50:45SPEAKER_04: I just thought they were the same person, which is I'm part of the problem.
- 50:49SPEAKER_01: You are part of the problem.
- 50:50SPEAKER_01: They say we're alike, they say we have the same hair.
- 50:52SPEAKER_04: They have the same hair, and they were alike.
- 50:54SPEAKER_01: They're both sides of the coin that the industry loves to spend.
- 50:58SPEAKER_01: Like insane.
- 51:01SPEAKER_01: Insane.
- 51:03SPEAKER_01: So anyway, I feel like there were some other songs, but I'll give it to Billboard.
- 51:08SPEAKER_01: They know the they know the facts.
- 51:09SPEAKER_04: I care by turnstile should have been on there.
- 51:12SPEAKER_04: Also, speaking of turnstile, birds, Slater rings.
- 51:15SPEAKER_04: Slater's version.
- 51:17SPEAKER_04: Everyone's upset.
- 51:17SPEAKER_04: Wait, where's the Slater songs?
- 51:20SPEAKER_04: On the Billboard.
- 51:21SPEAKER_01: Why is Crank that not on?
- 51:23SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 51:23SPEAKER_04: Yes, okay.
- 51:24SPEAKER_01: You're telling me crank and brand new Chanel, brand new Chanel.
- 51:27SPEAKER_01: You're telling me that's not on here?
- 51:28SPEAKER_01: No, they're not.
- 51:30SPEAKER_04: I don't know who's paying them, but.
- 51:31SPEAKER_01: Billboard Hoin.
- 51:32SPEAKER_04: I know.
- 51:33SPEAKER_04: I know number two or number three from Toy Stories paying versus life.
- 51:37SPEAKER_04: Oh.
- 51:38SPEAKER_04: Allegedly.
- 51:39SPEAKER_01: That's just what I heard.
- 51:41SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 51:41SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 51:41SPEAKER_01: Let's get into our ICUs.
- 51:43SPEAKER_01: Which are ICUs are just things that we have been loving.
- 51:45SPEAKER_01: That'll be beat to death during the ICU then in the hospital.
- 51:47SPEAKER_01: Like praying for them.
- 51:48SPEAKER_01: It can be things from the past, present, or future that we love.
- 51:51SPEAKER_01: Lauren, you can go first.
- 51:53SPEAKER_04: I don't want to.
- 51:54SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 51:56SPEAKER_01: So, if you insist.
- 51:59SPEAKER_01: Before I get into mine, I know that what I'm about to say is about to like my body dysmorphia, it does not want me to talk about this.
- 52:08SPEAKER_04: Are you talking about Snickers?
- 52:09SPEAKER_01: No.
- 52:10SPEAKER_01: And what I'm about to say, I am going to sound so unhealthy and big.
- 52:18SPEAKER_01: Okay?
- 52:18SPEAKER_04: You're neither of those.
- 52:20SPEAKER_01: But I have to talk about this.
- 52:21SPEAKER_01: And also don't know the government name of this item.
- 52:26SPEAKER_01: There is a donut at Crittrip that I call, I have self-named a maple long long.
- 52:37SPEAKER_01: And I feel like it's such a good name that you all know exactly what donut I'm talking about.
- 52:41SPEAKER_01: It's called a maple long long to me.
- 52:43SPEAKER_04: The government name is I don't want to know.
- 52:45SPEAKER_01: I don't want to know.
- 52:45SPEAKER_01: I don't want to know.
- 52:47SPEAKER_01: What I don't know can't hurt me.
- 52:49SPEAKER_01: I cannot physically go to the quick trip without buying one.
- 52:55SPEAKER_01: If I see a maple long long, I am buying it.
- 52:59SPEAKER_01: I could be full, I don't want nothing else.
- 53:01SPEAKER_04: And if I see a maple long long, I'm we could have three seafood boils in a row.
- 53:04SPEAKER_01: And I'm getting a maple long long.
- 53:05SPEAKER_04: And we stop, oh, I need gas.
- 53:06SPEAKER_04: He's coming out with a maple long long.
- 53:08SPEAKER_04: I don't know what it is, but it scratches an itch that no other long long can.
- 53:12SPEAKER_04: And here's the thing.
- 53:13SPEAKER_01: I am not even a donut person.
- 53:15SPEAKER_01: I'm actually not even really a sweets person, really.
- 53:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 53:18SPEAKER_01: I'm a food, like a meal.
- 53:20SPEAKER_01: Dys.
- 53:21SPEAKER_01: Sweet to rope.
- 53:23SPEAKER_01: I there is something about this maple long long.
- 53:26SPEAKER_01: I physically cannot control myself when there's one in the room.
- 53:28SPEAKER_01: I have to buy one.
- 53:29SPEAKER_04: You have to.
- 53:29SPEAKER_01: And not even to be like so big, but like I found a new way to eat them yesterday.
- 53:33SPEAKER_01: I ate, I guys, I am so intrigued by this, by this pastry.
- 53:38SPEAKER_01: I ate it upside down so that the icing touches my tongue.
- 53:42SPEAKER_01: Like that's where I'm at with the maple long long.
- 53:45SPEAKER_04: I am one of those people with a maple long lawn.
- 53:47SPEAKER_04: I have it, there's just too much bread there.
- 53:49SPEAKER_04: So I split it in half, throw or dang.
- 53:53SPEAKER_04: Actually, no one's gonna cancel me for that.
- 53:56SPEAKER_04: I do throw away the bread part.
- 53:57SPEAKER_04: Like, you know, most of it.
- 53:59SPEAKER_01: That's so disrespectful to the foundational architecture of the maple long long, but it's fine.
- 54:05SPEAKER_04: I I strip it down and I split it in half, some might say.
- 54:10SPEAKER_04: And um, yeah.
- 54:12SPEAKER_04: Have you ever been an old fashioned where you like they're like petals and you eat all the petals off the side and late leave the ring?
- 54:19SPEAKER_01: I don't want any of that.
- 54:21SPEAKER_01: None of that sounds good in me.
- 54:22SPEAKER_04: Okay, but that isn't it.
- 54:23SPEAKER_04: Well, have fun with your long long.
- 54:24SPEAKER_01: I'm not trying to yuck your yums.
- 54:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 54:26SPEAKER_01: But it's the maple long long's time to shine.
- 54:28SPEAKER_04: I'm so happy you finally bringing this up.
- 54:31SPEAKER_01: Like literally yesterday because like I try to like not eat bad.
- 54:34SPEAKER_01: Like I had a maple long long first thing in the morning, and I did not eat until like 8 p.m.
- 54:39SPEAKER_02: That's not good.
- 54:40SPEAKER_01: I know, but I just like I needed a maple long long.
- 54:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 54:44SPEAKER_04: So I love that.
- 54:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I just like really it's so good.
- 54:47SPEAKER_01: Like it, yeah, like it it has like a control over me.
- 54:50SPEAKER_01: It feels gluttonous.
- 54:51SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't know.
- 54:52SPEAKER_01: That's weird.
- 54:54SPEAKER_01: Anyway, it's okay.
- 54:55SPEAKER_01: We all have our vices.
- 54:56SPEAKER_01: So what's yours?
- 54:57SPEAKER_04: Okay, my ICU is walking around a grocery store.
- 55:04SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 55:04SPEAKER_04: I tell everyone to do this, okay?
- 55:06SPEAKER_04: And what I mean by this is that whenever you're at home and trying to genuinely turn your brain off and relax, you sit down and then you see that fork on the counter, or like you have a child yelling, like, da-da, mama, or whatever.
- 55:22SPEAKER_04: I don't have a child yet, so I don't know.
- 55:24SPEAKER_04: Um, or whatever.
- 55:26SPEAKER_04: But when you're at a grocery store, approximately 10 30-ish at night, or before, you can walk around, turn your brain off because no one in the world needs anything from you.
- 55:38SPEAKER_04: You can go down, see if there's like banana squishies in stock.
- 55:42SPEAKER_04: You can go down and check on the same items.
- 55:45SPEAKER_04: I look at the same items at Walmart every single day, but it is the best way to decompress.
- 55:50SPEAKER_04: And I have been beating that to death for years.
- 55:52SPEAKER_04: Like, that is the best thing to do.
- 55:54SPEAKER_01: It is like it is the introvert version of Wagga.
- 55:58SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 55:58SPEAKER_01: Which Wagga is a term I came up with, walk around, get attention, which I do at like, you know, if you're at parties or like, you know, whatever.
- 56:04SPEAKER_01: Walk around, get attention.
- 56:05SPEAKER_01: I would like to propose a new one.
- 56:07SPEAKER_04: For me.
- 56:08SPEAKER_01: Watbow.
- 56:09SPEAKER_04: Watbow?
- 56:10SPEAKER_01: Walk around, turn brain off.
- 56:12SPEAKER_04: Oh, I love that.
- 56:13SPEAKER_04: I love to Watbow.
- 56:15SPEAKER_01: Watbow.
- 56:15SPEAKER_04: So if you are need a plate, a time to decompress, consider going to the grocery store.
- 56:20SPEAKER_04: It doesn't matter.
- 56:21SPEAKER_04: You can go to any grocery store you want to.
- 56:23SPEAKER_04: You don't have to spend money.
- 56:24SPEAKER_04: That's the thing about it.
- 56:25SPEAKER_04: You don't have to spend money at all.
- 56:26SPEAKER_01: Last night we went to Walmart like on a whim, and we did buy these.
- 56:31SPEAKER_01: Um, but we we our intention wasn't really to buy anything.
- 56:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 56:34SPEAKER_01: We're walking around touching everything, going like this.
- 56:37SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 56:37SPEAKER_04: The new fall line at Walmart is out.
- 56:39SPEAKER_01: Guys, oh my god.
- 56:40SPEAKER_01: Dom loves this.
- 56:41SPEAKER_01: That will be an ICU at one point.
- 56:43SPEAKER_01: I shop at Walmart a lot.
- 56:44SPEAKER_01: They have incredible clothes.
- 56:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 56:46SPEAKER_04: So that KLM employee is wearing a lot of curated Walmart.
- 56:50SPEAKER_01: Speaking of KLM.
- 56:51SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 56:52SPEAKER_01: So I posted a TikTok, not to talk negatively about a business.
- 56:54SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 56:55SPEAKER_01: But they DM me and commented.
- 56:57SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 56:57SPEAKER_01: I still have no updates though.
- 56:58SPEAKER_04: I love that they DM you and commented and saying, like, damn, that's crazy.
- 57:02SPEAKER_01: No, literally, they were like, well, we can't do anything on TikTok, but send us your reference number and we'll we'll have them look at it again.
- 57:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 57:08SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I don't know if you guys are understanding how I did that already.
- 57:12SPEAKER_01: But cheers.
- 57:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 57:13SPEAKER_01: Write me a check.
- 57:14SPEAKER_01: At this point, write me a check.
- 57:16SPEAKER_04: No, they just wanted to talk.
- 57:18SPEAKER_04: They just wanted to explain and be like, hey, we are exactly.
- 57:22SPEAKER_04: Really?
- 57:22SPEAKER_01: Low-key.
- 57:23SPEAKER_04: Of course.
- 57:23SPEAKER_01: Low-key.
- 57:24SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 57:25SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 57:26SPEAKER_01: Walk around.
- 57:26SPEAKER_01: What bow.
- 57:28SPEAKER_04: I love to Watbow.
- 57:29SPEAKER_04: I I encourage everybody to do it every day.
- 57:31SPEAKER_04: Try it and let me know.
- 57:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 57:34SPEAKER_01: Should we get into our We Need to Talks?
- 57:35SPEAKER_04: I would love to.
- 57:36SPEAKER_01: So our We Need to Talk segment is an advice column.
- 57:39SPEAKER_01: You can submit it on our Instagram, DM us, or email truth and pod official at gmail.com.
- 57:44SPEAKER_01: Um, we have five today.
- 57:45SPEAKER_01: Oh, wow.
- 57:45SPEAKER_01: Three of them are really short because they submitted them like in like the little box, and then two of them are longer that they DM me.
- 57:52SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 57:52SPEAKER_01: The first one is I'm in love with a short man.
- 57:55SPEAKER_01: Help.
- 57:56SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 57:57SPEAKER_04: As long as they don't have little man syndrome, who cares?
- 57:59SPEAKER_04: I hate this.
- 58:00SPEAKER_04: Everyone likes to talk about like height and stuff like that.
- 58:03SPEAKER_04: I don't care about how tall you are or how short you are.
- 58:06SPEAKER_04: I think it's dumb.
- 58:06SPEAKER_04: Like if you like it, it's a popular girl humor, what's it called?
- 58:10SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 58:10SPEAKER_04: Um thing.
- 58:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 58:12SPEAKER_01: Popular girl humor.
- 58:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 58:13SPEAKER_01: Pretty girl humor.
- 58:15SPEAKER_01: It's fine.
- 58:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 58:16SPEAKER_01: Go for it.
- 58:16SPEAKER_01: It's fine.
- 58:17SPEAKER_01: Um next.
- 58:19SPEAKER_01: Um, I forgot how to flirt.
- 58:23SPEAKER_01: I will say this.
- 58:24SPEAKER_01: I'm very good at it.
- 58:25SPEAKER_01: I think you just have to be confident and literally just say what's on your mind.
- 58:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I agree.
- 58:29SPEAKER_04: And also to get to the root of it of like, are you are you trying to date to mask like the insecurities that no one will like you and love you?
- 58:37SPEAKER_04: Wait, listen, listen, hold on.
- 58:38SPEAKER_04: Oh wow.
- 58:39SPEAKER_04: Or is it to build a life with someone, or is it to go on date, whatever?
- 58:43SPEAKER_04: Because if you're if you have the wrong motivations, like you're gonna slide in everybody's DM and then you're gonna be the thirsty guy or girl there.
- 58:51SPEAKER_04: So I'm just saying, don't like before you pursue anyone, think about your motivations and then pursue one person at a time.
- 58:59SPEAKER_01: So true.
- 59:00SPEAKER_01: If you think they're hot, just tell them.
- 59:02SPEAKER_01: That's how bad I think.
- 59:03SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 59:04SPEAKER_01: But cheers, I get it.
- 59:05SPEAKER_04: Does that make sense?
- 59:06SPEAKER_01: Yes, it does.
- 59:07SPEAKER_01: No, what you said is that.
- 59:08SPEAKER_04: I would not I would not date a guy that's DM'd five of my friends with a you know what I'm saying?
- 59:13SPEAKER_01: Oh, don't flirt with friends.
- 59:14SPEAKER_01: Well, don't flirt with people's friends.
- 59:16SPEAKER_04: No, I know, but I'm just saying, like, pick one.
- 59:18SPEAKER_04: I mean, you might have to do that thing of like that popular jock in high school that has like everyone in well, you know what I'm saying, every social circle, they're dating the goth, they're dating the theater girl.
- 59:29SPEAKER_01: Build your roster.
- 59:30SPEAKER_04: Uh no.
- 59:31SPEAKER_04: He gives awful advice sometimes.
- 59:32SPEAKER_01: No, I'm kidding.
- 59:33SPEAKER_01: I'm just a very big component of if you genuinely think something about somebody, tell them.
- 59:37SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 59:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 59:38SPEAKER_03: That's what I think.
- 59:40SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 59:41SPEAKER_01: I don't want my sister at my wedding.
- 59:45SPEAKER_01: My sister and I have never been close, and she has spent the last year openly criticizing my fiance and telling people that I'm making a mistake.
- 59:52SPEAKER_01: Now that we're getting married, my family expects me to include her in everything, and I don't want to.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_01: Here's what I will say.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_01: I think that you shouldn't because you don't want to, and you've never been close.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_01: Not because she said that you're making a mistake.
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_01: Because her saying you're making a mistake means that there's somewhat of a care for you.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_01: This is coming from somebody who has said this to people who are getting married.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_01: So but because you've never been close, that's why you shouldn't include her.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_04: Include meaning in the wedding party or at the wedding at all.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_04: Like invite.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_01: It says I don't want her at my wedding.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's a little harsh.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_01: I will say You can invite her to your wedding if she's not gonna cause a problem.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_04: Do I will say the day is about you, and sometimes you have to do what causes like it causes peace as outcome.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_04: And so having her there in her frumpy little dress with her sting face, whatever, in the corner, you just ignore her.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_04: But she will make more of a scene not being invited and make the day about her if she's not there.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_04: Versus when she's there, you can be like, oh, she's being weird on my wedding day.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_01: What is more important to you?
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_01: Proving a point in not having her there and all the repercussions that can come from that on your wedding day, or just having her there.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_04: Because then you one is you're giving her a reason to, you know, and I love remaining as blameless as possible.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:01:21SPEAKER_01: Like she will never be able to say you didn't invite me to the wedding, but you can forever say, I invited you to the wedding and you sucked.
- 1:01:27SPEAKER_04: And you caused the scene.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_04: And now I have more of a reason to never talk to you again.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_04: Invite her to the wedding.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_01: She doesn't need to be at the bachelorette, she doesn't have to be at the you know, whatever's invite her to the wedding.
- 1:01:36SPEAKER_04: Just have her restock the grazing table with peanuts and send her your registry.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_01: Because normally the unhappy sisters at least have money.
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_04: And if they don't, yeah.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:01:47SPEAKER_01: Try to get her money up.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_01: Give her a bag up.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_01: I don't like my a lot of sister problems.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_01: I don't like my sister-in-law.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_01: Everyone in my husband's family worships her.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_01: I think she's manipulative, competitive, and constantly tries to one-out me.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_01: My husband says I'm imagining it because everyone loves her.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_01: And I'm starting to wonder now if I'm actually the problem.
- 1:02:06SPEAKER_01: You might be.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_01: You might be, because we don't have enough information, but I will say this.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_01: I am like the president, board of trustees, captain of seeing through the person that everybody else likes.
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_04: Same.
- 1:02:20SPEAKER_01: So I see you.
- 1:02:21SPEAKER_01: I see completely.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_01: You're not isolated.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_04: You're not on an island.
- 1:02:25SPEAKER_01: Ask yourself, do you deal with this often?
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_01: And then look inward.
- 1:02:30SPEAKER_01: Draw a circle around.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_01: Draw a circle around yourself.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_01: And then here's the thing.
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_01: You honestly may be right.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_01: But if if your husband's whole family loves her, like you're not gonna change that.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_01: Something that I've learned in the last 10 years of life.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_01: So it's his sister.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_04: Why wouldn't the whole family love her?
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_04: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_01: It's like they're yeah, it's like their blood.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_01: So something that I have learned in the last 10 years of life, because I've been surrounded by people who I don't agree with on things.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_01: There are some things you are never going to change somebody's mind on.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_03: Ever.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_01: And it literally is not worth it.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_01: So they're either gonna be in your life or they're not.
- 1:03:08SPEAKER_01: I don't think you're gonna convince this person's blood family to not like her.
