- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 0:02Speaker 2: All right, let's go a few minutes past six o'clock
- 0:04Speaker 2: on this Thursday morning. Thank you for starting your day
- 0:06Speaker 2: with us. Ricky Sanchez has those three things.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Sabrina Carpenter has partnered with Duncan again for a new drink.
- 0:13Speaker 4: It's called the Strawberry Daydream Refresher. It's got strawberry.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Flavor oat milk plus a layer of cold foam, making
- 0:19Speaker 3: for a strawberry and cream type of sip. According to
- 0:22Speaker 3: the press release, so Frida Carpenter's drink is just one
- 0:25Speaker 3: of the very several new summer menu items and they're
- 0:29Speaker 3: all currently available, So if you want to go try
- 0:30Speaker 3: it out today, you can.
- 0:32Speaker 4: The Dallas Mavericks selected Cooper Flag.
- 0:34Speaker 3: With the top pick in the twenty twenty five NBA
- 0:36Speaker 3: Draft last night. He's the top rank recruit in the
- 0:40Speaker 3: nation when he committed to Duke in October twenty twenty three,
- 0:43Speaker 3: and he led the Blue Devils all the way to
- 0:44Speaker 3: the final four. So the Dallas Maverick said, that's our guys,
- 0:47Speaker 3: shut MAVs and we have an update on the National
- 0:51Speaker 3: Public Library after the parking lot fire. Obviously, this has
- 0:55Speaker 3: been an ongoing situation trying to keep up with what
- 0:57Speaker 3: exactly is happening, truly, Devin stating that the library even
- 1:01Speaker 3: has to be closed, but obviously they want to make
- 1:04Speaker 3: sure that everything is safe and everything is great by
- 1:06Speaker 3: the time you can walk back in those doors. So
- 1:08Speaker 3: National Public Librariy's main branch is going to stay closed
- 1:11Speaker 3: until Monday, July twenty eighth. More than ninety percent of
- 1:15Speaker 3: the building sustained very light soot and smoke impact. With
- 1:18Speaker 3: that said, ninety nine percent of the books and materials
- 1:21Speaker 3: that are housed inside of the main library are fully
- 1:23Speaker 3: restorable with a light cleaning. So this is the best
- 1:26Speaker 3: case scenario.
- 1:27Speaker 4: It's just going to take a little bit of time.
- 1:28Speaker 3: They're working to redirect books and materials on hold that
- 1:31Speaker 3: were located at the main.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Library for you to pick up to the.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Lobby or Louby Branch oh Library twenty three oh one
- 1:39Speaker 3: Rosa l Parks Boulevard is where you can pick that up.
- 1:42Speaker 3: You will get a text once they are ready, because
- 1:43Speaker 3: they're currently working on that right now. So if you
- 1:46Speaker 3: have a book on hold, one that you've been waiting
- 1:47Speaker 3: to get, it's coming to you.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Just give them a little bit of time.
- 1:50Speaker 3: And a little bit of grace Amarquy Sanchez, And those
- 1:53Speaker 3: are the three things you need to know.
- 1:54Speaker 5: I had to drive out to that Louby branch last week.
- 1:57Speaker 2: My son was very adamant about a certain minecraft book,
- 2:00Speaker 2: like there was like three in a series and he
- 2:02Speaker 2: needed to read the third one, and that was the
- 2:04Speaker 2: only place that had it.
- 2:05Speaker 5: And it was it was like a whole hour.
- 2:07Speaker 4: You know exactly where it is.
- 2:08Speaker 5: I know exactly where it is, but I spent all
- 2:09Speaker 5: day getting in this one book that I don't even
- 2:11Speaker 5: know if he's looked at one time.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Good dad, Thank you very much.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Do you know about the parking downtown at the library,
- 2:16Speaker 2: because that, I mean, that's part spoil your secret, But
- 2:18Speaker 2: that was always sort of your go to.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Why are you saying that, I'm sorry.
- 2:21Speaker 5: So the park.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Everyone's going to know about it.
- 2:24Speaker 5: It is the best place to park if you're going down.
- 2:26Speaker 1: No.
- 2:27Speaker 5: Well, thank you, Ricky, sorry that I spoiled your surprise.
- 2:29Speaker 1: There.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Here's Gracie Abrams.
- 2:31Speaker 2: We do have those No A Cyrius tickets on the
- 2:32Speaker 2: way less than ten minutes first caller the day.
- 2:34Speaker 5: You can win those this morning here on the River
- 2:37Speaker 5: one seven.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Ricky Zach and Menno in the.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Morning, Jackie in East Nashville.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Welcome to one O seven five the River. You are
- 2:44Speaker 3: so quick with those fingers, Jackie. Is it because you're
- 2:48Speaker 3: really excited about the idea of going to see Noasiris?
- 2:52Speaker 6: Absolutely?
- 2:53Speaker 4: Okay that I.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Mean, we'll just go ahead and tell you right now.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Your quick fingers paid off because you are the first
- 2:58Speaker 2: caller of the day.
- 2:59Speaker 6: Thank you guys so much.
- 3:00Speaker 7: No, no, no, no, no, I need more than that.
- 3:02Speaker 7: I need like a quick little whoo.
- 3:04Speaker 5: You're going to see the queen for God's sake?
- 3:06Speaker 7: Yes, thank you, we're talking.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Have you seen Noah Cyrus before?
- 3:11Speaker 6: No, That's why I'm so excited too, so.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Oh yay, first time seeing her gonna be a great show.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I mean, the rhyman in and of itself is going
- 3:18Speaker 3: to be iconic exactly.
- 3:20Speaker 5: And by the way, she's got a new album coming on.
- 3:22Speaker 5: I just looked this up. It's called I Want My
- 3:24Speaker 5: Loved Ones To Go with Me. It'll be out July eleven.
- 3:26Speaker 2: She's got songs with Fleet Foxes on Here, Blake Shelton,
- 3:29Speaker 2: Ella Langley like it is legit.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Noah Cyrus, Jackie, are you up this early because you're
- 3:33Speaker 3: going to work or did you know that we were
- 3:35Speaker 3: going to do this at first?
- 3:36Speaker 1: Caller?
- 3:37Speaker 6: Oh, I am going to work, but I also heard
- 3:39Speaker 6: you guys doing this for all week, and I was like,
- 3:41Speaker 6: I have to get these tickets.
- 3:42Speaker 5: This is dedication.
- 3:43Speaker 8: Girl.
- 3:44Speaker 7: It's Thursday. You've been calling every single day. I'm proud
- 3:46Speaker 7: of you.
- 3:47Speaker 6: Well, thank you guys.
- 3:48Speaker 9: Is it all worked out right?
- 3:49Speaker 5: Absolutely? What do you do, Jackie?
- 3:52Speaker 9: I worked for like insurance company?
- 3:54Speaker 5: Which one?
- 3:55Speaker 4: Is it?
- 3:55Speaker 5: Liberty?
- 3:55Speaker 6: I don't know if I'm allowed to say.
- 3:57Speaker 4: Also, why did you immediately go to liber I don't know.
- 4:00Speaker 5: I just like sometimes you have a premonition about Liberty.
- 4:03Speaker 4: I could say that your premonition was so far off.
- 4:07Speaker 5: It could have been close. Is it State Farm?
- 4:10Speaker 6: Maybe those are the commercials that are sticking your head.
- 4:13Speaker 7: I think that's what it is.
- 4:14Speaker 4: You're just gonna start naming as many as possible. Are
- 4:16Speaker 4: you just.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Tell us who you are. She's not going to and
- 4:22Speaker 5: that's okay.
- 4:22Speaker 4: It's her right. She does not need to tell us.
- 4:24Speaker 4: But we told her what she.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Needs to know, and that's the fact that she's getting
- 4:27Speaker 3: these Nowhere Syrius tickets October fifteenth at the Ryman.
- 4:30Speaker 4: You will be there. Congratulations, love, Thank you guys so much?
- 4:33Speaker 5: Is this whole man auto?
- 4:35Speaker 8: Oh?
- 4:35Speaker 3: Su my god, Jackie, please stay on the line so
- 4:38Speaker 3: that we can get some info from you.
- 4:39Speaker 9: Okay, thank you?
- 4:40Speaker 5: Who do you guys?
- 4:41Speaker 10: Use?
- 4:42Speaker 7: Why are you so interested in people's insurance?
- 4:44Speaker 4: This is also such a dad move. Oh what insurance
- 4:47Speaker 4: do you have?
- 4:48Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm not telling you Geico?
- 4:50Speaker 4: I have Geico?
- 4:51Speaker 6: Do you?
- 4:51Speaker 4: Yes?
- 4:52Speaker 5: Is it because of the little lizard?
- 4:54Speaker 3: It's not because of the little lizard, although I know
- 4:56Speaker 3: why you would think that, because I would be somebody
- 4:58Speaker 3: who take insurance based off that they were the cheapest ones.
- 5:03Speaker 5: More of those Noasiris tickets tomorrow. But here's the thing.
- 5:05Speaker 5: You have to tell us who you work for.
- 5:07Speaker 1: One Ricky Zach and.
- 5:12Speaker 4: The River.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Ricky mentioned a second ago her fiance Aju has been
- 5:16Speaker 2: lying about his feelings toward her car.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Yeah. Basically I've been duped and I've been lied to.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Basically my entire relation.
- 5:24Speaker 2: We should say Ricky drives a cyber truck. Continue the truck.
- 5:28Speaker 11: That I hate.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Okay, uh No, I have a Volksegen Beatle convertible is
- 5:33Speaker 3: what I have.
- 5:33Speaker 4: She's very cute.
- 5:34Speaker 3: I love my little Mac but it's not just Mac,
- 5:38Speaker 3: it's every car I've ever owned. Oh so, AJ drives
- 5:41Speaker 3: pretty much everywhere. Whenever we go anywhere, AJ typically drives,
- 5:45Speaker 3: And I thought that was just him being a gentleman
- 5:47Speaker 3: and him being nice and be like, no worries, babe,
- 5:49Speaker 3: I got it, I'm gonna drive us. Turns out it
- 5:52Speaker 3: has nothing to do with him being nice to me
- 5:54Speaker 3: or being a gentleman. He doesn't like getting into any
- 5:57Speaker 3: car that I've ever owned because it's messy and it's dirty. Okay, yeah, yeah,
- 6:02Speaker 3: I was gonna say, both of you, we're gonna say
- 6:04Speaker 3: that because this is the thing. I wouldn't say that
- 6:07Speaker 3: my car is dirty. It's definitely messy, though there's lots
- 6:10Speaker 3: of stuff in there. I basically live out of my car,
- 6:13Speaker 3: so I have a lot of different things in the backseat.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I also am a just I'm so bad when it
- 6:18Speaker 3: comes to returning things. I put them in the back
- 6:20Speaker 3: of my car, and then I never return them because
- 6:23Speaker 3: I forget that they're in the back of the car.
- 6:24Speaker 12: Well, it doesn't help that your car is also already tiny,
- 6:27Speaker 12: so it's tiny and then clutter lots of so it's
- 6:30Speaker 12: like an anxiety attack as soon as you get in.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Yeah, and it is kind of dirty right now actually,
- 6:34Speaker 3: because like the floor definitely needs to be vacuumed now,
- 6:38Speaker 3: it is dirty. This all started because he said that
- 6:42Speaker 3: he was gonna go clean his car and vacuum it
- 6:44Speaker 3: out and.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Like get in a nice wash. And I was like, hey,
- 6:47Speaker 4: since you're not working and he got the summer off.
- 6:50Speaker 5: Yeah, he's a teacher, he's got the summer up.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Uh, you could totally take my car too and clean
- 6:55Speaker 3: it out.
- 6:55Speaker 4: And he was like absolutely not. That is an all
- 6:57Speaker 4: day endeavor.
- 6:58Speaker 7: Yeah, that would like take a week, I feel like.
- 7:00Speaker 3: So he was like no, And then it came to
- 7:02Speaker 3: terms with the fact that he never gets in my
- 7:04Speaker 3: car because it gives him anxiety to get it.
- 7:07Speaker 5: I get it. I truly get it.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Knew you were going to agree with him.
- 7:10Speaker 5: Car is kind of the same. I hate going it.
- 7:12Speaker 5: It's so gros.
- 7:13Speaker 2: The only time I ever get in her car is
- 7:15Speaker 2: if I have to drive it to the car wash
- 7:16Speaker 2: because she is never gonna do that.
- 7:18Speaker 5: Uh, And it's just it's a mess. It's a disaster,
- 7:20Speaker 5: and I don't like it.
- 7:21Speaker 3: I've literally never taken this car to the car wash.
- 7:23Speaker 3: I've had him since twenty twenty.
- 7:25Speaker 7: You literally have never taken it a single time.
- 7:27Speaker 4: No, I think it. Car washes are a waste of money.
- 7:29Speaker 7: And now we know why AJ does not want to
- 7:32Speaker 7: get in your car.
- 7:32Speaker 3: It's filthy, okay, but like it's not that bad.
- 7:37Speaker 4: It's like it's stinky.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Do want they say like a cluttered space, a cluttered
- 7:40Speaker 2: mind or something like, oh.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Yeah, that's one hundred percent.
- 7:42Speaker 5: Wouldn't you feel better if it was just like organized
- 7:45Speaker 5: and vacuhim down.
- 7:45Speaker 7: And it's cluttered.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Whether the space is cluttered or not, my brain is cluttered.
- 7:49Speaker 3: That's just the way that my brain works. I don't
- 7:52Speaker 3: know what to tell you.
- 7:53Speaker 7: I'm glad that he finally came clean.
- 7:55Speaker 3: But now I'm also kind of like, I don't think
- 7:58Speaker 3: i'll ever clean it. No, no, because he drives me
- 8:00Speaker 3: everywhere because he doesn't want to get in my car.
- 8:02Speaker 4: So this is a wind for me.
- 8:04Speaker 2: You're one of those people that you just like a hoarder,
- 8:06Speaker 2: like you, You know, you see him on the road
- 8:08Speaker 2: and they've just got papers and things just piled you
- 8:11Speaker 2: can't even see through the window.
- 8:12Speaker 4: It is bad.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Every summer I realize how bad it is because I
- 8:15Speaker 3: can't put the top down because things will fly.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Out of your belongings, everything down the hallway.
- 8:22Speaker 3: So that's when I typically realized, like, oh, it's pretty
- 8:24Speaker 3: bad and ears you're cleaning.
- 8:25Speaker 5: Okay, so you're not going to that.
- 8:27Speaker 7: No, she's too stubborn.
- 8:29Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, well that settles that kind of not really.
- 8:32Speaker 4: I feel lied to.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Here we go, just after seven o'clock on this Thursday morning.
- 8:38Speaker 5: Another warm one already.
- 8:40Speaker 4: I know every day.
- 8:42Speaker 5: Thanks for being here, Rick, He's got those three things.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Billboard's fifty Best Albums of the Year so Far list
- 8:47Speaker 3: has dropped.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Uh.
- 8:49Speaker 3: The list is artists alphabetically, so I'll give you just
- 8:52Speaker 3: some of their picks from the list. Sabrina Carpenter's Short
- 8:56Speaker 3: and Sweet, Billie Eilish Hit Me Hard and Soft Lamar's
- 9:00Speaker 3: GNX Bad Bunny. DeBie Terrama's Photos is also on there.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Brandon Lake's album King of Hearts. There's a bunch more,
- 9:09Speaker 3: but obviously, you know, they're just going off of what's
- 9:12Speaker 3: been released thus.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Far six months into the year.
- 9:14Speaker 3: We got a lot more coming out the end of
- 9:16Speaker 3: the year, so we'll see what they end with in December,
- 9:21Speaker 3: because they put out a full list of everything.
- 9:22Speaker 4: That they loved throughout the year as well.
- 9:25Speaker 3: This is interesting. Water isn't the most hydrating drink. According
- 9:29Speaker 3: to a new study, skim milk actually takes the crown.
- 9:34Speaker 3: It's got sugar, protein, and fat that helps keep liquids
- 9:37Speaker 3: and fluids in your system longer. So, according to this
- 9:40Speaker 3: new study, drinks like oral rehydration solutions, full fat milk,
- 9:46Speaker 3: and even orange juice outrank water in staying power. Wow,
- 9:50Speaker 3: So you got to steer clear sugary sodas things like
- 9:52Speaker 3: that because you want just a little bit of sugar,
- 9:55Speaker 3: not something overboard. You don't want to drink, you know,
- 9:57Speaker 3: like Coca cola, mountain dew, things like that that's not
- 9:59Speaker 3: gonna help punch your thirst. Feels like it is, but
- 10:02Speaker 3: it actually isn't.
- 10:03Speaker 2: The movie Anchorman rond Burgundy was a hot day and
- 10:06Speaker 2: he was drinking milk.
- 10:07Speaker 5: Was a bad choice. That sticks in my head. So
- 10:09Speaker 5: it's like, I never think.
- 10:10Speaker 7: The great choice, Yeah it was.
- 10:11Speaker 3: If it was skim milk, even better, better choice, even better.
- 10:15Speaker 4: So just keep that in mind during this heat wave.
- 10:17Speaker 3: You should obviously be drinking water, but if you throwing
- 10:20Speaker 3: milk every so often, it's actually really good for you.
- 10:22Speaker 4: It's gonna help you out.
- 10:24Speaker 3: And the National Zoo has announced a new Moon jellyfish exhibit.
- 10:28Speaker 4: I'm so excited.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Their new home is fourteen hundred gallons of salt water
- 10:34Speaker 3: in an aquarium. It sits at the front of the
- 10:36Speaker 3: Unseen New World exhibit. They got around fifty jellies in there,
- 10:40Speaker 3: just floating around. I keep seeing videos of them, and
- 10:42Speaker 3: they just look so cool. The National Zoo said they'll
- 10:45Speaker 3: be adding more jellyfish and different kinds of species like
- 10:49Speaker 3: the Atlantic sea needle and the white spotted jellyfish at
- 10:51Speaker 3: some point.
- 10:52Speaker 2: You guys, I'm just talking you now. Ricky won't stop
- 10:54Speaker 2: talking about his jellyfish.
- 10:55Speaker 4: I love jellyfish.
- 10:56Speaker 5: They're crazy about these jelly I've.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Been freaking out since yesterday because I love jellyfish.
- 11:01Speaker 5: Videos of jellyfish.
- 11:02Speaker 4: I want to get like a tattoo of a jellyfish.
- 11:04Speaker 3: I love jellies, so I can't wait to go and
- 11:06Speaker 3: see them just kind of float around in their little
- 11:08Speaker 3: tink a little home.
- 11:10Speaker 4: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 11:12Speaker 4: need to know.
- 11:12Speaker 5: I've never seen her so excited about anything. Maybe a
- 11:14Speaker 5: little Boovo's la boos.
- 11:15Speaker 4: And then jelly fish, weird things that make me excited,
- 11:18Speaker 4: and that's great.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I'm happy that you're happy. Here's Chiboozi. Right after this song,
- 11:23Speaker 2: let's learn, Zach Spacx. We're gonna learn something together next
- 11:26Speaker 2: down the.
- 11:27Speaker 1: River one seven Ricky Zach and.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Will preface this fact by saying he's not feeling so
- 11:33Speaker 2: hot today, Zach. He's got like a pinch nerve in
- 11:35Speaker 2: his neck and he's kind of walking around like a
- 11:37Speaker 2: like Frankenstein.
- 11:38Speaker 7: We're alive, babes.
- 11:40Speaker 2: But he's here and he's ready to teach at Zack's
- 11:42Speaker 2: Fax on one oh seven five the River.
- 11:43Speaker 12: Well, since classes in session, I think we should start
- 11:46Speaker 12: with a pop quiz. Do you guys know how many
- 11:48Speaker 12: peanuts it takes to make a jar peanut butter?
- 11:50Speaker 4: Oh? Wow? Ten thousand?
- 11:53Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, it's a lot of I think it's
- 11:56Speaker 2: your jar.
- 11:56Speaker 5: I would say two hundreds.
- 11:58Speaker 12: Apparently it takes five hundred did forty peanuts to make
- 12:01Speaker 12: a twelve ounce jar of a peanut butter.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Oh, I buy the big guys.
- 12:05Speaker 12: Yeah, so this is for peanuts thousands more.
- 12:11Speaker 7: And that's your fact that the.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Day one o seven five the Ribber, Ricky Zach and
- 12:15Speaker 1: Meno in the Morning.
- 12:16Speaker 5: Zach has a very important question for you. Is you
- 12:18Speaker 5: get where you're going.
- 12:19Speaker 2: On this Thursday morning? It's one oh seven five the River. Zach,
- 12:22Speaker 2: your question, I.
- 12:23Speaker 7: Want to know do you think a taco is a sandwich?
- 12:26Speaker 3: All of our classic questions in life all go back
- 12:29Speaker 3: to sandwiches.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Yeah, is a hot dog a sandwich? Is a taco
- 12:33Speaker 4: a sandwich?
- 12:33Speaker 2: But this one, a judge actually ruled on whether or
- 12:36Speaker 2: not a taco is a sandwich. So we want your opinion.
- 12:39Speaker 2: We'll tell you what the judge said. So legally speaking, I'm.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Going to tell you right now. I disagree with this
- 12:43Speaker 4: with the judge.
- 12:44Speaker 5: Oh you do?
- 12:44Speaker 4: Oh yeah, like hard disagree if.
- 12:47Speaker 2: You have an opinion six one five seven, three seven nine,
- 12:50Speaker 2: one oh seven. The question is simple. Is a taco
- 12:53Speaker 2: a sandwich?
- 12:54Speaker 7: Very simple?
- 12:55Speaker 5: One o seven five The ribber Ricky.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Zach and Meno in the morning.
- 12:59Speaker 7: Do you do you think a taco is a sandwich?
- 13:02Speaker 4: No, thank god, Robin, it's not.
- 13:06Speaker 1: It's not bread.
- 13:07Speaker 2: It's not a it's not a bread product.
- 13:10Speaker 9: It would be like saying I'm putting peanut butter between
- 13:14Speaker 9: two crackers and that's a sandwich.
- 13:15Speaker 5: I would say, tortilla is a bread product.
- 13:18Speaker 7: Yeah, like a flower tortilla.
- 13:20Speaker 12: Okay, maybe one, yeah, like a corn one.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Yeah, Like the traditional tacos are corn tortillas. There's no
- 13:29Speaker 3: flour or breading or anything like that in a traditional top.
- 13:33Speaker 5: So what did this judge rule in this case?
- 13:35Speaker 3: The judge rules that tacos and britas are Mexican style sandwiches,
- 13:39Speaker 3: and he's just wrong.
- 13:41Speaker 5: Wow, I mean ritos. Well the judge.
- 13:44Speaker 4: That doesn't make him rocky.
- 13:46Speaker 7: He's more knowledgeable than we are.
- 13:48Speaker 5: I agree with him.
- 13:50Speaker 6: Robin.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Let me ask you a couple other questions. Is catch
- 13:52Speaker 2: up a smoothie?
- 13:54Speaker 9: Gross?
- 13:54Speaker 2: I suppose if you wanted to make the one you.
- 13:57Speaker 8: Shart, but no, I would not recommend it.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Yes, why would ketchup be as smooth as it's just
- 14:04Speaker 3: because it's blended.
- 14:05Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, mixed up.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Well, we don't know if tomatoes fruit or a vegetable,
- 14:09Speaker 2: but you know, that's kind of how you make.
- 14:11Speaker 4: I mean, we don't know if tomatoes a fruit or
- 14:12Speaker 4: a vegetable.
- 14:13Speaker 5: I don't think anybody knows that. Nobody knows that because
- 14:17Speaker 5: it would.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Have to kind of go with that as well as no.
- 14:22Speaker 4: Just so, yeah, like you wouldn't drink ketch up.
- 14:27Speaker 7: I mean some people people would. That's nasty.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Okay, last question, Robin, this is not food related, but
- 14:32Speaker 2: do mermaids give live birth or lay eggs?
- 14:35Speaker 4: Oh?
- 14:35Speaker 7: Good questions?
- 14:40Speaker 5: Yeah, see we stumped you.
- 14:45Speaker 9: I just because I think it would look nicer.
- 14:48Speaker 4: In my mind, I would say, okay, eggs.
- 14:54Speaker 3: I was thinking they definitely lay eggs, just because the
- 14:57Speaker 3: bottom part is fish.
- 14:58Speaker 5: Yeah. No, you're right, the reproductive organs.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Organs right.
- 15:02Speaker 12: So cute to see little mermaids just like swimming around like, oh,
- 15:04Speaker 12: gave birth to this little beady mermaid.
- 15:06Speaker 7: I think that'd be adorable. So I'm like picturing human.
- 15:09Speaker 9: Livescoote, I am, I am too picturing like the little
- 15:12Speaker 9: cute mermaids, like little tiny ones.
- 15:15Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, okay, Robin, thank you. We we accomplished some
- 15:19Speaker 5: good stuff here.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Have a great day life.
- 15:26Speaker 5: We need to judge the chime in on the mermaid thing?
- 15:29Speaker 5: We do that?
- 15:30Speaker 10: Like?
- 15:30Speaker 7: That one really got me. I even googled it and it.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Said mermaids aren't real. Why what do you mean?
- 15:35Speaker 5: Will it says?
- 15:36Speaker 12: In folklore and fantasy, mermaids are often depicted as giving
- 15:39Speaker 12: birth to live, young so I just wanted to see,
- 15:41Speaker 12: like what the spiracy theory was.
- 15:43Speaker 2: If anybody wants to weigh in at six one, five, seven, three,
- 15:45Speaker 2: seven nine, and I'll throw one more question out something
- 15:48Speaker 2: upon this morning?
- 15:49Speaker 5: Can animals commit crimes? We'll be right back.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning.
- 15:56Speaker 4: Mark your calendars for November second.
- 15:58Speaker 3: A bridge, an arena that's maroon five is gonna be
- 16:01Speaker 3: in town, Taylor and Clark. Still, if you win Kevin
- 16:03Speaker 3: Manner's Game of the Day on one oh seven five
- 16:05Speaker 3: the River, you're gonna be there.
- 16:07Speaker 8: That was amazing. It sounds great.
- 16:08Speaker 5: Are you feeling this morning?
- 16:09Speaker 2: Taylor?
- 16:10Speaker 8: I am a little tired and I actually went to
- 16:12Speaker 8: the Incubi show last night, so I'm a little tired
- 16:14Speaker 8: this morning, but I think I'm ready to go.
- 16:16Speaker 5: Oh that's so cool.
- 16:17Speaker 2: You went to see Incubus and they played what was
- 16:18Speaker 2: it morning view like in its entirety?
- 16:21Speaker 8: Yes they did.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Oh cool, that's awesome, love Incubis. Well, hopefully on the
- 16:28Speaker 2: back of that one you can win another one.
- 16:30Speaker 5: Here you ready, let's go?
- 16:32Speaker 7: All right?
- 16:32Speaker 2: The game is called Numbers and Colors Trivia questions. You
- 16:35Speaker 2: get two out of three of them right in the
- 16:37Speaker 2: tickets are yours. Okay, here we go, Taylor. Your game
- 16:40Speaker 2: starts right now. Oh, I feel like you know you're
- 16:44Speaker 2: a rock fan. You're gonna know this. Before opening Third
- 16:46Speaker 2: Man Records here in Nashville, Jack White was a member
- 16:49Speaker 2: of what rock band with a color in their name?
- 16:54Speaker 8: That would be Jack White and mag wife and make
- 16:56Speaker 8: up the white stripes?
- 16:58Speaker 7: Nice?
- 16:59Speaker 4: All right?
- 17:00Speaker 5: Get this right? You win?
- 17:01Speaker 2: Danny, Rusty Linus and their friends attempt to commit a
- 17:07Speaker 2: crime in what movie with a number in its title?
- 17:12Speaker 8: That would be Oceans eleven.
- 17:14Speaker 5: Well, this was just too easy for you. Congratulations, Thank you.
- 17:18Speaker 8: I've actually seen Marion fot I actually lucky enough to
- 17:21Speaker 8: see them during the Super Bowl halftime show back in
- 17:23Speaker 8: twenty nineteen eighty Land.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Oh wow, Okay, this may not be the same as
- 17:27Speaker 3: you know, the super Bowl, but it's going to be
- 17:30Speaker 3: a phenomenal show.
- 17:31Speaker 8: Well fifteen minutes versus a whole hour and a half
- 17:34Speaker 8: of their hit it too Okay?
- 17:36Speaker 7: Absolutely did you say you were there?
- 17:38Speaker 5: You were at the super Bowl?
- 17:39Speaker 7: Yes?
- 17:40Speaker 8: Uh, me and my wife or Patriots fans, and we
- 17:42Speaker 8: decided that this may be the last time we see
- 17:44Speaker 8: Tom Brady in the Patriots uniform. And also probably which
- 17:47Speaker 8: it was. And also the last time we were act
- 17:50Speaker 8: to pay Super Bowl that was just closed. I said,
- 17:52Speaker 8: we're doing it.
- 17:53Speaker 5: I refresh our memory. Did the Patriots win that year
- 17:55Speaker 5: or no?
- 17:56Speaker 8: Yes, everybody that watched it that it was a very
- 17:59Speaker 8: boy game. It was a real oak scoring games with
- 18:02Speaker 8: all defense. But as Patriots fans were related.
- 18:05Speaker 2: So sure, awesome, wells very cool. Tay, you're gonna go
- 18:08Speaker 2: see Maroon five again.
- 18:09Speaker 8: Hey, I'm looking forward to it. I loved him ever
- 18:13Speaker 8: since part of Brief came out way back when. So
- 18:15Speaker 8: it's gonna be a good time.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Fantastic. Thank you for calling, buddy, Thanks for waking up
- 18:19Speaker 5: with us, have fun, hang.
- 18:19Speaker 8: On, Okay, all right, how good you'll see.
- 18:21Speaker 5: Thank you like a chatty winner.
- 18:24Speaker 4: You love small talk. He's a Patriots fan, though, so.
- 18:28Speaker 5: So you just I saw you kind of got like
- 18:30Speaker 5: stink face halfway through that.
- 18:31Speaker 4: That's why I'm a Jets fan.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Three things you need to know?
- 18:35Speaker 5: All right, here we go. Thank you for starting your
- 18:37Speaker 5: Thursday with us. Ricky's got those three things.
- 18:39Speaker 3: By now pay later loans will soon factor into American's
- 18:42Speaker 3: credit scores. Buy now, pay later companies like Klarna and
- 18:45Speaker 3: after pay are a way for people to buy the
- 18:47Speaker 3: things that they need or they want with repayment plans
- 18:50Speaker 3: that are a.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Lot cheaper than putting them on your credit card.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Fiko is going to launch a suite of credit scores
- 18:57Speaker 3: later this year that incorporate buy now, play later, Hey
- 19:00Speaker 3: later data. So it's gonna provide lenders with a window
- 19:03Speaker 3: into this big blind spot they never knew your.
- 19:07Speaker 4: Repayment you know habits when it comes to buy now,
- 19:11Speaker 4: pay later.
- 19:12Speaker 3: So the company's launching a FIGHTO Score ten and FIGHTO
- 19:14Speaker 3: Score ten T models that are going to specifically have.
- 19:18Speaker 4: These scores added.
- 19:19Speaker 3: It's a whole different way of looking at it because obviously,
- 19:22Speaker 3: when it comes to credit, there's a lot of different
- 19:24Speaker 3: you know, nuances to how they use your credit score.
- 19:27Speaker 3: When you take out a loan, obviously, if you pay
- 19:29Speaker 3: it off really fast, it can change your credit score.
- 19:32Speaker 4: If you take too long to pay it off, it
- 19:33Speaker 4: changes your credit score.
- 19:35Speaker 3: If you don't pay it on time, it changes your
- 19:36Speaker 3: credit score. So the way that people do their buy
- 19:39Speaker 3: now pay laters is completely different. If you're worried about this,
- 19:44Speaker 3: I will say FIGHTO Score eight is the most popular
- 19:46Speaker 3: one that lenders use that can change in the future,
- 19:49Speaker 3: but if you're like not so great at your buy now,
- 19:51Speaker 3: pay later plans, you're still kind of in the clear
- 19:54Speaker 3: right now. An Animal Foundation in Murphy's Burrow is adding
- 19:57Speaker 3: a twenty four to seven microchip station outside to the
- 20:00Speaker 3: Beasley Animal Foundation announcer microchip station and outreach box for
- 20:05Speaker 3: National Microchipping Month, which are both located on their front porch.
- 20:09Speaker 4: This is really cool though.
- 20:10Speaker 3: So they noticed that, you know, the area needed a
- 20:13Speaker 3: way to scan and find pets storing evenings and weekends,
- 20:16Speaker 3: and in October they asked for the community to kind
- 20:19Speaker 3: of help out. So students at Oakland High School were
- 20:23Speaker 3: part of making it possible by creating and designing the
- 20:26Speaker 3: outreach box. That's very cool, right, So they helped put
- 20:29Speaker 3: it all together and design it. It looks great.
- 20:32Speaker 4: I love that the community got involved.
- 20:34Speaker 3: And this is a great way to help serve the
- 20:35Speaker 3: community because obviously, when you find a missing pet, you
- 20:38Speaker 3: want to be able to bring them to their owner
- 20:39Speaker 3: as soon as possible, so you can find that new
- 20:42Speaker 3: twenty four to seven microchip station, like I said, outside
- 20:45Speaker 3: the Beasley Animal Foundation in Murphysboro and Ben and Jerry's
- 20:49Speaker 3: gave a hack on the right way to store your
- 20:52Speaker 3: ice cream. You know, when you store your ice cream,
- 20:53Speaker 3: and if it's in there for too long, it gets
- 20:55Speaker 3: frosty on the top. Yeah, and they can't eat it
- 20:57Speaker 3: because then it just doesn't taste the same. And this
- 21:00Speaker 3: is how you make sure that doesn't happen. Put it
- 21:02Speaker 3: in your freezer upside down. So when you put it
- 21:05Speaker 3: in upside down, you're making sure that the moisture doesn't
- 21:08Speaker 3: get into the top of it and then create ice
- 21:10Speaker 3: on top.
- 21:11Speaker 5: How are we just hearing this now for the first
- 21:12Speaker 5: time ever?
- 21:13Speaker 4: I know that's what I'm saying.
- 21:14Speaker 3: So obviously you want to make sure that the lid
- 21:16Speaker 3: is very tight before you store it. You don't want
- 21:19Speaker 3: it to be like melty before you store it, because
- 21:20Speaker 3: then you're gonna pull it out.
- 21:21Speaker 4: It's gonna be a disaster.
- 21:23Speaker 3: But right when you get home, pop it in the
- 21:24Speaker 3: freezer upside down, you're never gonna have it.
- 21:27Speaker 5: Three either, print that on the packaging yourself.
- 21:29Speaker 4: I know, no more freezer, Sanchez, And those are the
- 21:31Speaker 4: three things.
- 21:32Speaker 5: You need to know.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Reiky, Zach and men in the morning, we are about to.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Play you mind blowing audio here on one oh seven
- 21:40Speaker 3: five of the river. We're in a heat wave, but
- 21:42Speaker 3: we're not the only place that's in a heat wave.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Basically the entire country is. It's hot almost everywhere right now.
- 21:50Speaker 3: But this audio piece, we saw it happening on one
- 21:54Speaker 3: of the like news so it was on the Today Show.
- 21:58Speaker 3: It's a professional talking about what you should set your
- 22:02Speaker 3: thermostat at during a heat wave.
- 22:04Speaker 4: It's gonna blow your mind.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Here.
- 22:05Speaker 11: We turn up the thermostat to seventy eight degrees because
- 22:09Speaker 11: it is the most efficient way to run your air conditioner.
- 22:12Speaker 11: The Energy department actually says turn it up even more.
- 22:14Speaker 11: When you leave the house for walk, close the curtains,
- 22:16Speaker 11: draw the blinds down, so much heat gets into your
- 22:19Speaker 11: home through your window. If you have ceiling fans in
- 22:21Speaker 11: your home, look up, make sure the blades are spinning
- 22:24Speaker 11: in a counterclockwise direction and you're feeling the breeze coming down.
- 22:28Speaker 11: Here's the thing about ceiling fans. They aren't cooling the room,
- 22:31Speaker 11: They're just cooling you. So when you leave the room,
- 22:33Speaker 11: turn them off.
- 22:34Speaker 5: So those are all the tips there. But seventy eight degrees.
- 22:37Speaker 12: Yeah, the second half makes sense to me. But seventy
- 22:39Speaker 12: eight degrees I would simply die.
- 22:42Speaker 3: What do you think about setting your thermostat at seventy
- 22:44Speaker 3: eight degrees right now?
- 22:46Speaker 4: Six one five, seven, three seven nine, one oh seven?
- 22:49Speaker 4: Is that normal for you? Is that what you typically do?
- 22:51Speaker 2: I bet? I guarantee there are some people out there
- 22:53Speaker 2: that do it. If this is what the experts are suggesting.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Let's sake one seven five the River Raicky's Zach and
- 22:58Speaker 1: Meno in the morning, Ashville.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Welcome to one O seven five of the River. We
- 23:02Speaker 4: just played probably what's the most disturbing thing we've ever
- 23:05Speaker 4: played on our morning show.
- 23:08Speaker 3: A professional says that you should set your thermostat at
- 23:11Speaker 3: seventy eight during the heat wave.
- 23:13Speaker 4: What do you think about that?
- 23:14Speaker 1: So? I get it?
- 23:15Speaker 9: Okay, I really do what my nephews are saying. Hi,
- 23:24Speaker 9: So my house story counsel so that whenever they installed
- 23:30Speaker 9: all of the new things that they install places, they
- 23:32Speaker 9: don't do the HVAC systems that compliment two story homes
- 23:37Speaker 9: in these tulkiennies. Rightay, So my house constantly stays at
- 23:42Speaker 9: seventy eight eighty eighty one, eighty two, even warmer than
- 23:46Speaker 9: the upstairs parts.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Of they have you just said eighty two?
- 23:50Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 23:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I know?
- 23:52Speaker 9: Are you probably more disturbing than the news segment.
- 23:55Speaker 5: Are you comfortable in that or are you like miserable
- 23:58Speaker 5: in that?
- 23:58Speaker 9: No, I'm miserable. Okay, Yeah, I have those box fans
- 24:04Speaker 9: running in both parts of my house up fairs completely
- 24:07Speaker 9: all night long. I got turned the serve and sat
- 24:09Speaker 9: down and pulled my house down at night. But it's
- 24:12Speaker 9: like hips up automatically, and it's pointless for me to
- 24:15Speaker 9: have it running past seventy eight. Oh, it's running all
- 24:18Speaker 9: day and there's nothing.
- 24:18Speaker 3: That's going on. Kelsey, I feel so bad for you
- 24:21Speaker 3: because that just like, okay, so seventy eight they're saying
- 24:24Speaker 3: that's the most effective way for it to run, but like,
- 24:27Speaker 3: that's not great for my body.
- 24:29Speaker 4: I'm overheating.
- 24:30Speaker 9: Then absolutely not take comfort in knowing that you've got
- 24:34Speaker 9: a well air conditioned building to go keep for work
- 24:37Speaker 9: every day.
- 24:38Speaker 5: Okay, oh okay, you.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Need to like you need to work from a workspace
- 24:45Speaker 3: that's a shared work space.
- 24:47Speaker 9: Yeah, I know, right well, with three kids in the
- 24:51Speaker 9: house with me in the summertime, it's kind of difficult
- 24:53Speaker 9: to be able to leave.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Yeah that makes sense, Kelsey, Thank you so much for
- 24:57Speaker 3: calling in.
- 24:58Speaker 8: Its fun.
- 25:01Speaker 9: But I get it.
- 25:03Speaker 10: I get it.
- 25:04Speaker 2: All right, thank you have a great day. Stay cool
- 25:06Speaker 2: over there in that sauna of yours. I guess if
- 25:10Speaker 2: like the alternative is, you know, running your AC super low,
- 25:14Speaker 2: but you could like make it go out and then
- 25:16Speaker 2: you don't have any air conditioning.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess that's what really does tend to happen.
- 25:21Speaker 3: I know that's a big issue in a lot of
- 25:22Speaker 3: cities like New York, Like they get blackouts. Yeah, they
- 25:26Speaker 3: get blackouts, rolling blackouts, and then it's bad for everybody
- 25:28Speaker 3: because then nobody has air conditioning. But I just I
- 25:32Speaker 3: don't know, I'm so spoiled. I don't think I could survive.
- 25:35Speaker 7: I would have to get a hotel. Like, there's absolutely
- 25:38Speaker 7: no way if it was seventy eight degrees in my house.
- 25:40Speaker 4: That's the studio at fifty nine.
- 25:43Speaker 5: You never met anybody that likes a room as cold
- 25:45Speaker 5: as Zach.
- 25:46Speaker 3: You're welcome, Ricky, Zach and men in the morning, Morning Easton.
- 25:52Speaker 4: What do you think about setting the thermostat to seventy eight?
- 25:55Speaker 6: No, we do put it when we leave the house,
- 25:58Speaker 6: we put it at seventy one. But during the night
- 26:02Speaker 6: they have sixty eight because my mom will get nuts
- 26:05Speaker 6: if it goes over seventy one. I've turned it up
- 26:08Speaker 6: very much, and she gets mad at me and I
- 26:10Speaker 6: get in trouble.
- 26:11Speaker 5: Sixty eight to me is very cold. I would not
- 26:14Speaker 5: be comfortable in sixty eight.
- 26:15Speaker 6: No, I mean I have to have a couple of
- 26:19Speaker 6: blankets only when I got to sleep.
- 26:20Speaker 7: I feel like that's why it's more comfortable to me.
- 26:22Speaker 12: It's because like you can cuddle up with your comforter,
- 26:25Speaker 12: and like you can fully cover up versus like if
- 26:27Speaker 12: I'm hot, then I'm just laying there naked in the
- 26:30Speaker 12: middle of my bed.
- 26:31Speaker 4: The naked was unnecessarily a child half over.
- 26:34Speaker 5: Here, right, Zach? Would you I think Zach would sleep
- 26:37Speaker 5: in a meat locker if he could.
- 26:39Speaker 7: Yeah, absolutely, I would sleep so well.
- 26:41Speaker 9: No, no, no, no, don't snowing.
- 26:45Speaker 6: Me and Zach can go hang out from where where
- 26:47Speaker 6: you guys going to meat freezers?
- 26:49Speaker 5: All right, we're gonna we'll make him put his clothes on.
- 26:52Speaker 5: But thank you for calling Easton.
- 26:54Speaker 1: All right, all right, Reiki, Zach and Meno in the morning.
- 27:00Speaker 5: I know seven five the river.
- 27:02Speaker 4: They're not getting better.
- 27:03Speaker 5: No, No, I like old sung radio jingles. I want
- 27:06Speaker 5: to bring them back.
- 27:07Speaker 7: I think the first one was better.
- 27:09Speaker 5: Okay, I'm gonna neither of them anyway. It's time for
- 27:12Speaker 5: the daily double tap.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Nope, okay, but we're gonna have people actually saying you
- 27:17Speaker 3: are better than Kevan for this.
- 27:19Speaker 4: It's a band that they're calling Blink Juan eighty two,
- 27:24Speaker 4: not one eighty two, Quan eighty two. I love it.
- 27:27Speaker 4: It's a fun one.
- 27:28Speaker 7: Here you go, all.
- 27:31Speaker 10: And non so sorry, I'm gonna sleepna dream time. I
- 27:37Speaker 10: need somebody in the now. Six strange startness, screeping time
- 27:46Speaker 10: a seconds, so.
- 27:53Speaker 5: I don't. I'm just gonna keep playing it. I don't
- 27:54Speaker 5: want to stop, but I love it getting better and
