- 0:25leave a review. Don't know about you, but
- 0:27I have so much anxiety when I look
- 0:29at the big picture of things that I
- 0:31wanna accomplish.
- 0:32It can... It really helps me when
- 0:35I take things and break them apart and
- 0:38look at them in little bitty bite sized
- 0:41pieces.
- 0:42I think that we can all achieve such
- 0:44big things,
- 0:451 tiny thing at a time. And our
- 0:48life is made up of all the little
- 0:49things. It's the little moments it seem so
- 0:52insignificant at the time
- 0:54and that we almost wanna blow off and
- 0:56not even do. But those are really the
- 0:58things that keep us all glued together.
- 1:01And keep our relationships glued together. Years ago
- 1:05when I was a little girl,
- 1:07I... My mom would... Romeo me in a
- 1:09wheelchair down the halls of Saint. Jude, and
- 1:12I remember looking up and there were these
- 1:14plaques all over the place with in memory
- 1:17of, and it was just like, a sea
- 1:19of plaques within in memory of, and
- 1:22I was new
- 1:23to
- 1:25being at Saint. Jude and
- 1:27those really stressed me out. And
- 1:30I would just hang my head low, and
- 1:31I was pretty
- 1:32not so excited about being there. If I'm
- 1:34being honest. I was... Bummed about not being
- 1:37able to play my Nintendo as an 11
- 1:39year old back home. We had to move
- 1:41and
- 1:42everything was just kind of upside down and
- 1:44I remember that there was
- 1:47this nurse,
- 1:48a sweet, amazing African American man. He had...
- 1:52Braid hair he super cool looking, he would
- 1:54walk the halls
- 1:56of Saint. Jude, and
- 1:58he would always look at me and smile.
- 2:00Even when I wouldn't smile back, because I
- 2:02was pretty grumpy. I just remember he did
- 2:04that over and over and over every day
- 2:07because we were there for months at a
- 2:08time, and his smile really made a difference,
- 2:11and it's amazing what just a smile can
- 2:14do. It can sometimes save a life. I
- 2:16know that that really impacted me
- 2:19and it made a big difference in my
- 2:21life at that time. And so this is
- 2:25just a thought about that to plan a
- 2:28seed and always remember that that little nod
- 2:32or that smile or that hand on somebody's
- 2:35back,
- 2:36Really make such a difference, and the little
- 2:38things really do at,
- 2:40my friend's mom just passed away. And Harold
- 2:43Eu was all about the little things that
- 2:45she had done that it hint had impacted
- 2:47so many. The little things really do add
- 2:50up. Life is really just about the little
- 2:52things. And in our lives, it's all
- 2:55these things that we remember and cherish. It's
- 2:59a homeless person smile when you give them
- 3:01some candy,
- 3:02It's little ones when they grab your hand
- 3:04when they... When you're sad,
- 3:06it's a cat or a dog jumping in
- 3:07your lap after a really long day.
- 3:10It's that last puzzle piece if your kids
- 3:11don't hide it from you. It's someone saying,
- 3:14you know, I'm listening to you in a
- 3:16world.
- 3:17That really makes us often feel unheard.
- 3:20All these things really add up to create
- 3:23our lives and
- 3:24our little decisions and things
- 3:27maybe don't seem so important at the time,
- 3:29but they really do create friendships, foster,
- 3:33happy homes and build businesses.
- 3:36They also create
- 3:38healthy bodies.
- 3:39Those healthy bodies help us
- 3:42to live longer, happier lives.
- 3:44My grandma
- 3:45used to save her change.
- 3:48She had, like, a little bucket, and every
- 3:50time she would get to the grocery store
- 3:52she would just throw that change in a
- 3:54bucket. And over time, it added up to
- 3:57several hundred dollars. I graduated in the nineties.
- 4:00So several hundred dollars was actually a lot.
- 4:03I remember the concept of that. It was
- 4:05such a cool idea to just
- 4:08save your pennies 1 at a time and
- 4:11how much that adds up. This idea of
- 4:14little things adding up,
- 4:16can be spread into so many different areas,
- 4:18it can be in
- 4:20relationships and your health, and your finances
- 4:23but it's just an easy and
- 4:26a great way to take the anxiety out
- 4:29of living. Because again, when you look at
- 4:31the big pick, sure it can be really
- 4:33stressful if you're trying to save up for
- 4:35a home or
- 4:37if you're trying to lose 20 or 30
- 4:39pounds, it just seems like this, task that
- 4:42is una unbelievable and so you don't even
- 4:44start. And so I just want to bring
- 4:47this to your attention that it is possible
- 4:49just I'm sure you know this, but it's
- 4:51always nice to hear
- 4:53how the little things
- 4:55do really add up and not to look
- 4:56at that big picture and let it stand
- 4:58in the way.
- 4:59Of whatever you're trying to achieve. And also
- 5:02just to remember that the little things really
- 5:03make a difference in other people's lives. So
- 5:06send that text and
- 5:08give that smile and do that kind deed
- 5:10because it's really everything.
- 5:12And, you know, when we
- 5:14are buried and we're on to the next
- 5:17dimension, These are the things that really matter.
- 5:19They're the things that are inner inner woven
- 5:22like a quilt into our loved ones, hearts
- 5:24and lives, and it's really what. Is carried
- 5:27on when we're not here anymore. So I
- 5:30have some tips
- 5:31of to you take little things and make
- 5:34them into those big achievable
- 5:36goals that you have. You can apply this
- 5:38to any area of your life. It can
- 5:40be
- 5:41finances. It can be health if you're trying
- 5:43to lose some weight or gain some muscle
- 5:45or whatever you're trying to do to
- 5:48be healthier,
- 5:49and it's just a couple of little tips,
- 5:51some reminders of how to not look at
- 5:54that big picture, but just to start 1
- 5:57tiny little thing at a time.
- 5:59The first thing is just to write it
- 6:01down and schedule it. If you don't put
- 6:02it on your calendar, forget about it. It's
- 6:05not happen because
- 6:07life is just always full of tons of
- 6:09things to do. So if you don't schedule
- 6:12it,
- 6:12That's really the first thing. It it won't
- 6:15happen.
- 6:15The second thing is to set an area
- 6:18for it if you can, like, collect the
- 6:19things that you need for it.
- 6:21And I like to maybe write something down
- 6:24on a sticky,
- 6:25my y underneath my why? Like, why am
- 6:27I even doing this? Like, if it's weight
- 6:29loss, maybe it's because
- 6:31you wanna dance with your
- 6:34kid at their wedding, and you wanna stay
- 6:36healthy enough to do that in the long
- 6:38haul, you wanna have a body that's healthy
- 6:40enough to carry you through.
- 6:42Have grandkids or whatever your needs are,
- 6:45just that why that big
- 6:47underneath why of
- 6:49the reason you want this goal. The next
- 6:51thing is just breaking it down in into
- 6:53small steps and making a reasonable timeline,
- 6:57and not beating yourself up if you don't
- 7:00hit the timeline just right. And then the
- 7:02last thing is just began and began today
- 7:05because
- 7:06you never know. And life is so precious.
- 7:08Why not start that thing that you wanna
- 7:10do,
- 7:11create that goal that you're trying to accomplish.
- 7:15Just go ahead and get started. And so
- 7:17I'll leave with a couple of quotes.
- 7:19Almost everything comes from almost nothing.
- 7:22Henry Frederick,
- 7:24and little drops of water
- 7:26make a mighty ocean, Julia Carney. I hope
- 7:29this helped I hope together we can plant
- 7:31some seeds of resilience, and joy, have an
- 7:34amazing day.
