- 0:05Speaker 1: to Colin Stewart for arranging the interviews with Tody Muslik
- 0:08Speaker 1: and Ethan gard Doula. And we'll have another Coaches Show
- 0:11Speaker 1: in two weeks ahead of the UMass Lowell series.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Mike giving him the Colin giving him some love.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Yeah, Colin's good.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Colin's awesome, best sid in the country.
- 0:20Speaker 1: He's easy to work with, he is so he is
- 0:22Speaker 1: so low key. He really is so merrimack. This weekend, Yes,
- 0:26Speaker 1: coming off a tough weekend up at Maine, I imagine
- 0:29Speaker 1: they'll be out for blood. Well I'm not gonna say
- 0:31Speaker 1: out for blood, but they'll be out for a little
- 0:32Speaker 1: revenge on somebody whoever they play, and that would be Yukon.
- 0:35Speaker 2: We always have a tough series with them. Then, since
- 0:40Speaker 2: I've got to Yukon and we've played, I want to
- 0:42Speaker 2: say there was maybe five games in a row where
- 0:44Speaker 2: we tied. Uh it was you know, it's always always
- 0:49Speaker 2: a battle against Scott does a I think a good
- 0:53Speaker 2: job playing at Maine is one main you know has
- 0:57Speaker 2: a good club this year, but it's really hard to
- 1:00Speaker 2: play up there. It's by far the toughest building I
- 1:03Speaker 2: think in the league to go on the road and win,
- 1:06Speaker 2: and it's happened. You know, too many teams up there
- 1:11Speaker 2: on a weekend, so I know we'll see a much
- 1:13Speaker 2: different team come Friday night. Yeah.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I think I did that trip two three years ago
- 1:18Speaker 1: and you got an overtime win and a regulation win.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, We've had some success up there, but it's
- 1:25Speaker 2: it's a tough building to play.
- 1:27Speaker 3: It feels like Maine has taken a step forward over
- 1:29Speaker 3: the last couple of years and kind of gotten back
- 1:31Speaker 3: to their their roots where they have been that powerhouse
- 1:34Speaker 3: are they Have you looked at the Merrimack main tape
- 1:37Speaker 3: yet just to even see what main I have not
- 1:39Speaker 3: I watched it.
- 1:40Speaker 2: In fact, I might not even watch those games. I
- 1:43Speaker 2: might watch Merrimack at home, you know. Yeah, I think
- 1:47Speaker 2: that I'll get more out of that watching games when
- 1:49Speaker 2: Merrimack played at home.
- 1:51Speaker 1: It's good to see Adam Karashik yesterday.
- 1:53Speaker 2: It was nice saying him in the building. Yeah, it
- 1:55Speaker 2: was great. He's he's hung up the skates and he's
- 1:59Speaker 2: got a job. He's moving to New York City, and uh,
- 2:02Speaker 2: it's always good seeing him back.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Him the battles that he had when you played BU
- 2:07Speaker 1: with Brady Kuchuk, those were always those were always fun
- 2:10Speaker 1: to watch because they were both the same way. They
- 2:12Speaker 1: would get under your skin.
- 2:14Speaker 2: They would uh yeah, I remember that playoff series vividly.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Adam was a warrior in that series, and.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Uh, that would be the overtime loss and what two
- 2:26Speaker 1: to one in the last game, right, yeah.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Right, shot him two to one. They wound up winning
- 2:32Speaker 2: it that year. So yeah, we lost a tough one
- 2:35Speaker 2: in overtime the first night. We lost two to one
- 2:37Speaker 2: the second night. But we also had Joe Ferris and
- 2:40Speaker 2: Kyle Houston. We had a lot of alums back this weekend.
- 2:42Speaker 2: It was nice.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Kyle Soun's acutie by the way, Yeah, Brooks he is. Yeah. Uh.
- 2:47Speaker 3: We heard from Tyler Muslik as one of the two
- 2:49Speaker 3: player interviews tonight. Where's his play at to this point
- 2:52Speaker 3: in the season.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I think he's done a nice job. You know, he's
- 2:55Speaker 2: played uh what seven of them? We played eight games nine,
- 2:59Speaker 2: he's played eight of nine games, and I think he's
- 3:03Speaker 2: you know, giving us a chance to win in just
- 3:06Speaker 2: about every game he's played, you know, last night to
- 3:09Speaker 2: me and I haven't had a chance to tell him yet,
- 3:12Speaker 2: but I thought it was an impressive game for him
- 3:14Speaker 2: from this standpoint. I know he wasn't happy necessarily with
- 3:18Speaker 2: some of the goals that went in. However, that can
- 3:23Speaker 2: crush some goaltenders and they can be done for the
- 3:26Speaker 2: game mentally. He hung in there and made, you know,
- 3:31Speaker 2: a great save in overtime, made two breakaway saves, and
- 3:36Speaker 2: that's not easy to do when you're fighting the puck.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So I give him a lot of credit because there's
- 3:43Speaker 2: also an art to winning a six or five game.
- 3:45Speaker 2: You have to make saves sometimes in a tight game,
- 3:48Speaker 2: and he was able to do that. Yeah.
- 3:49Speaker 1: And then conversely, he saw seven shots combined in the
- 3:53Speaker 1: first two periods on Saturday. Some of them were obviously
- 3:56Speaker 1: quality chances the bouncing puck late first period, but to
- 4:00Speaker 1: keep your focus that's not an easy thing to do
- 4:02Speaker 1: when you're not seeing a lot of shots. You seem
- 4:03Speaker 1: to do that for.
- 4:04Speaker 2: You with the game winner went off of Macineo. You know,
- 4:06Speaker 2: you got a piece of it and deflected.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Oh okay, yeah, not cool.
- 4:10Speaker 1: So no, he did a great job with that, all right,
- 4:13Speaker 1: all right, Michael, we've got one broadcast left on game Wise,
- 4:16Speaker 1: We've got one more coaches show to do before this
- 4:18Speaker 1: semester's over. So I'll see your Friday up at the
- 4:20Speaker 1: ice box.
- 4:21Speaker 2: All right, sounds good.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Thanks guys the ice bus going to the ice box.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I've been told dressed very very warm there. Colin gave
- 4:29Speaker 1: me that advice. Yes, thanks Time Music, Thanks to Ethan Gardula,
- 4:35Speaker 1: Adam enjoy Birmingham. Thanks Bob all right, and Adam will
- 4:39Speaker 1: be back with us eventually. Yes, he'll have the Harvard
- 4:42Speaker 1: game in January.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Yeah, January fourth.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I won't be there.
- 4:45Speaker 3: All right.
- 4:46Speaker 1: That'll do it for tonight. Thanks to Andrew Allison. Back
