Awake and Put on Christ
The believer's life is defined by an urgent eschatological wakefulness. Because our salvation draws nearer than when we first believed, we must cast off the works of darkness—spiritual laziness, misguided priorities, and strife—and clothe ourselves in the armor of light. This is not a call to legalism, but a response to grace. By putting on the Lord Jesus Christ, we further crucify the sinful nature and cease making provision for the flesh.
