- 0:00Yo, So check this out. I feel like I'm kind of like in
- 0:05a little down period right now, but not in the way I guess you
- 0:11could say people would expect, in the sense of like it's not necessarily being
- 0:16down as far as like a mood or whatever. But you know, life
- 0:21has it speaks and valleys, and I'm in that valley right now, you
- 0:24know what I mean. And something that always helps me get through it is
- 0:29just kind of keeping the same routine slash work ethic like consistently throughout the whole
- 0:35thing, so that it just you know, I can kind of hit it
- 0:39and stride and kind of get in an automatic kind of mode in those times.
- 0:43Can I say a Jay Z quote for that? Yes, go ahead,
- 0:46my friends. And that's why, real quick before I get to that
- 0:49quote, Facebook memories is some of the most embarrassing shit ever seen in my
- 0:54life. The shit I used to say, but sometimes I was spending real
- 0:57ship and one of them was Jay Z's quote one day you're up, next
- 1:02day you're down. Long as you stay the same to come back around,
- 1:06that's it. Once again, It's a life, that's it. Say the
- 1:10same and it'll come back around. Yeah, And the quote Jay z Protege,
- 1:15Nipsey Hustle, the marathon Man. It's a marathon. You can't you
- 1:19can't look at it from a short race kind of thing, or you're gonna
- 1:25get to a certain you know, checkpoint, and that's it. Like,
- 1:27nah, it ain't never that. He definitely really to find what marathon is
- 1:33like in the perspective of living a life, like it's something you're gonna work
- 1:38on forever. And it's dope that he even just made it cool for people
- 1:41to really execute a long term plan and really think about their future and be
- 1:46more tapped in you know what I'm saying. That's that's the cool thing about
- 1:49artists like that and why they kind of exist in a certain realm. And
- 1:53that even reminds me of something I saw Alchemists talk about on Instagram. Shout
- 1:57out to Alchemists. Super Dope producer really came up in the nineties two thousands,
- 2:02I think it was late nineties, early two thousands, but he's been
- 2:06flourishing ever since. And he was kind of talking about how he's not really
- 2:09part of the music industry because he said it like he's running a microbrewery.
- 2:15You know what I'm saying, Like he's tapped in with the people that mess
- 2:19with him and he's giving them what they want and he's still able to do
- 2:23what he loves. But he's not part of the whole music industry vibe,
- 2:25you know what I mean. And it's just kind of cool where like,
- 2:30you know, you get a lot of people that say, like with me,
- 2:31I was one of them, like oh this industry stuff, la la
- 2:35la la la, And it's like okay, So then that you're not trying
- 2:37to be an industry person, then you gotta you gotta walk in the path
- 2:42of what you want to do, you know what I mean. Music is
- 2:45not just the industry, you know what I mean, It's not just being
- 2:47tapped into like those circles and stuff. If you politics of it. Yeah,
- 2:52it's something that they talk about with comedians too, like you can't take
- 2:55away a laugh, you know what I mean, Like if if in the
- 2:59laughs, bro, nobody can say anything. Bro. It's the same thing
- 3:02with music, Like if you connect them with your fans and you're putting it
- 3:05in their face and they know, like, Yo, this is the kind
- 3:08of music I can expect, this is the catalog this person got. Nobody
- 3:14can you know somebody in the industry is not gonna stop that. You know
- 3:16what I'm saying, There's not gonna be somebody quote unquote blackballing. You're telling
- 3:20people, hey, don't listen to that person. Nah, it don't work
- 3:23like that. I agree, And that's why I think you're you kind of
- 3:28understanding more when you're in it. And you said, you know, you
- 3:31see what people are dealing with. And it's like, you know, every
- 3:36time you hear the Grammy stuff with different artists where their boycotting their Grammys,
- 3:40speaking out against the Grammys, anytime you hear them speaking out against certain awards
- 3:45or chart positioning and things like that, it's because it's all a popularity contest.
- 3:49You know. It's obviously talent, grind money, you know, execution,
- 3:53marketing is all that, but it's also a popularity contest. If you're
- 3:55not saying that the focus, maybe everything's gonna be way harder for you.
- 4:00All these people that used to become mega successful and all over the place and
- 4:03on every channel and all this stuff. The main thing everybody says is they're
- 4:08cool with everybody. Yeah, you know what I'm saying, Like, if
- 4:13it's a person, you know, if you want to be that guy.
- 4:15You gotta put in that work that that guy's putting in, you know what
- 4:17I'm saying. Somebody like Will Smith, you know what I mean, Like
- 4:20he was the love you know, he was the demand of the hour for
- 4:25more than an hour. You know what I'm saying. He had that going
- 4:28because he was the fool guy everywhere. You know, whoever he interacted with,
- 4:32everybody had a good story, you know what I mean. And you
- 4:36know, maybe that had his consequences. You know what I mean with the
- 4:41out person and some of the more public things that I've been going on.
- 4:44You know what I'm saying with Will Smith, But I was just somebodio.
- 4:53No I was gonna say. I watched them Dave Chappelle little skit clip where
- 5:00he said, remember when Kramer said to Edward, Yeah, huh did you
- 5:05see that clip about how David Chappelle reacting. He's like, I feel like
- 5:10eighty percent comedian twenty percent black because like, yeah, I was offended.
- 5:15But then like, for you to do that shit, like I felt,
- 5:18you must be going through some shit died for you to be dropping that and
- 5:21producing that content in your career, I know, like you're at your lowest
- 5:27and you recognize that ship when you're in it and you see people reacting a
- 5:30certain way. Yeah, he was. He was kind of saying, how
- 5:34like as a comedian, he was like, damn, he's bombing you know
- 5:38what I mean. He's like, he's like, I hope you find the
- 5:40way back. He didn't care about the contents as a comedian's point of view,
- 5:45he didn't care about what he was saying. He was like, man,
- 5:47this is ain't resonating with the people you and you in the dark space
- 5:50right now, bro. And yeah, that's there's a cool thing in there
- 5:56too, just about even how you look at stuff, which is something that
- 6:00it's a really big thing with me, and it's one of those things that
- 6:02that's why I'm a big fan of people like Dave Chapelle because they have the
- 6:08ability to look at stuff in black and white and really look at it from
- 6:12like a very far back view with that perspective and the close perspective and kind
- 6:17of find a middle ground in between, you know what I mean. It's
- 6:21like a lot of times, you know, you kind of get too caught
- 6:26up in like the division that you have or your little bubble, and you
- 6:30kind of need that perspective to kind of calibrate every once in a while.
- 6:33And that's what mean y'all, y'all industry knowing what y'all know and and trying
- 6:39to collaborate people you can look at them and see like, Okay, the
- 6:44way you're moving right now, you're acting a certain way kind of thing.
- 6:49Yeah, Like if it's you know, it kind of goes back. I
- 6:51think. Let's just said it in one of the episodes before where we touched
- 6:56on you know the eagles that go into dealing working with other people in the
- 7:00industry, and you know where it's like, I'm here to make a good
- 7:03song. You know, I don't gotta be the center of attention on this
- 7:06record. I don't gotta you know what I'm saying. If my part just
- 7:10carries the record to your part and it still sounds good, you know what
- 7:13I'm saying. It's like, I'm here to make a good song. You
- 7:15know what I'm saying. Um, And some people they kind of get caught
- 7:19up with the ego part of it, like no, I want my first
- 7:21to go first. Well, all right, I mean it doesn't sound good
- 7:26first, but you know what I'm saying, Like it's just there's like this
- 7:29egos involved. You know, I'm gonna break it a little somebody I digest
- 7:33it today. So, um, I worked with a bunch of a PhD
- 7:38scientists, right, and we were in a room today with the people who
- 7:42were who we supply work for, and it was expected to be one of
- 7:47the most turmoil environments ever. Like even they had a legal guy come in
- 7:55and they said that still yeah, keep going maybe yeah. So they said,
- 8:09like they thought I was gonna be a Quentin Tarantino movie, right.
- 8:13And then one one of my leads, she she brought in and she said
- 8:18that everybody's oh man, and I want to get this word right. So
- 8:22I'm just gonna look real quick. Um My, is it my my myopia?
- 8:26Myopia? Huh, myopia? Everybody's in their own myopia. Have you
- 8:35heard that words I have a myopic. I've heard myopic, which is a
- 8:41derivative of the same words. Yeah. So it's pretty much elaborates your your
- 8:46your your lack of seeing the bigger picture. And everyone has it, no
- 8:50matter how smart or intelligent or open minded you are. Everybody has their own
- 8:56myopia. They have their own near sight in this they have their own view
- 9:00of things. And when you're in a room with you know, even the
- 9:03three of us, and luckily ours is more reliant than a lot of people.
- 9:07But when you're room with everybody and you see so many people with so
- 9:11many different point of views, you're like, damn, I don't even I
- 9:16don't even want to do this. Is it worth the fight? And that's
- 9:18something that we deal with, like is it worth the fight or really having
- 9:22to come down to your level and explain it to you just to get you
- 9:26out of that, because it's not. Then if I get you out of
- 9:28that, what's to say? I'm not in it and someone has to get
- 9:31me out of that. So it's a constant battle of everybody's just confident in
- 9:37their near sightingness and this is how I wait, this is how I see
- 9:39things, and this is how things should be. And I did, and
- 9:43I did realize that that's applied everywhere, That's applied in every single thing you
- 9:48do. And that's I think that's every battle in life. It's people's perspectives.
- 9:52And that's that's the word I want to carry in to me. I'm
- 9:54glad, that's of course, let's know it. But that's the word that
- 9:58I learned it and I was like, wow, that and that's something you
- 10:00got to take an effect every time you're in the room with people. Yeah,
- 10:03kind of carrying carrying off of what you just said. It's also a
- 10:07thing where like you can be like that if you understand that you have to
- 10:11live your life a certain way to stay in those parameters, you know what
- 10:16I mean. I think that's like the problem that a lot of people have
- 10:18where they don't really realize like, Okay, I want to look at things
- 10:24this way, but I want it to be where everybody agrees with it too.
- 10:28It's like no, no, no, it don't work like that.
- 10:30You can live how you want to live, but that's for you, and
- 10:33you got to figure out how to make it work for you or you're not
- 10:35leaning on anybody else's participation to be able to do it, you know what
- 10:39I mean. That's kind of like where people lose me when they have a
- 10:46needy kind of thing to them, you know what I mean. Like that's
- 10:48a big trait for me. That's a big red flag for me, you
- 10:52know what I mean, Like all they're doing this is to satisfy themselves,
- 10:54right, Just anybody that that makes it seem like anybody that will make it
- 11:00seem like what they're going through that day is bigger than anything else on a
- 11:05constant basis, This is the type of person that I do not want to
- 11:09associate with at all, because it's like, if you can't have that perspective
- 11:13of the bigger picture and what's going on overall and the fact that everybody's going
- 11:18through their own battles, you know what I mean, everybody has a right
- 11:20to, you know, talk to somebody that's willing to listen about what they're
- 11:24going through and everything. But if you're the type of person that's every day
- 11:28calling people up asking for favors, needing advice, needing to help, you
- 11:33know, you always got some kind of end of the world situation going on.
- 11:35You really need to look inward and figure out what you're doing and bring
- 11:39all this stuff to your own life. That's real. That's definitely. You
- 11:46really regulate what you know what I'm saying, You really regulate what you give
- 11:50your time to, who you give your time to, what kind of things
- 11:52you do with your time. It's you, your life. You're the one
- 11:56in charge. So if you're in this whole thing where it's like, um,
- 12:00you know in your mind you're leaning on X, Y and Z happening
- 12:03with other people for stuff to shake with you. You already messed up.
- 12:07Yeah, And I I've dealt with that a lot. And I've dealt with
- 12:13with people who are showing opportunities too and and pause, but they want to
- 12:18put all their eggs in my basket. And I'm like, that's the last
- 12:22thing I needed to do. Like I'm saying I might have something for you,
- 12:28and the last thing you do is just drop every something like I remember
- 12:33I used to and this is past past, past experiences, like I used
- 12:35to tell somebody, hey, I might got something for you, and then
- 12:39like a week later, like, oh, they're off of me a promotion.
- 12:43So that turn it down to you got something like no, hell no,
- 12:45if that that that's ready, Now take do that for you. I'm
- 12:50not sitting here living my life making sure I got you. I'm not like,
- 12:58so you to be the judge of what's best for you, no matter
- 13:01what comes at you, no matter who's telling you something, whatever comes at
- 13:05you, got to be the best judge of that. Yeah, I have.
- 13:09I mean I've seen that a lot in my life especially, I mean
- 13:13friends, but family as well, you know what I'm saying, where it's
- 13:16like, you know, they have situations that or create, I would say,
- 13:22situations that you know are constant like anchors to them, you know,
- 13:28and then they try to like put that anchor on you to help them get
- 13:31out of it. And it's like, nah, man, you know what
- 13:33I'm saying. Like, and and you know I got I come from.
- 13:37It's it's weird because I come from an interesting family, but a very loving
- 13:41family, um, and so you know that that anchor always tends to fall
- 13:46on somebody else, you know what I mean. And it's like a it's
- 13:50like that cycle, you know what I mean. It's like, how can
- 13:52we get out as a family when we're always falling you know what I'm saying
- 13:58because of other people? It's like it sucks, man, it really does
- 14:01suck. Because that's that's something that I tussle with internally a lot because I
- 14:05am I grew up very very family oriented, UM, but just life situations,
- 14:11UM, you know, kind of detoured me from being basically just from
- 14:16allowing that to happen to me. You know what I'm saying, Um,
- 14:18because I've seen how it goes you know, it always ends up with the
- 14:22person that helping every helping everybody in a situation where they need help and nobody's
- 14:28able to help them, you know what I mean? Um, And and
- 14:31I just refuse to kind of put myself in that situation. I love my
- 14:35family to death and I'll help them wherever I can, but I won't overextend
- 14:39myself. Um, you know what I mean. That's a good way to
- 14:43lead into the topic that Lesson was talking about for this week. And it's
- 14:46like the balance of doing it for you versus doing it for others. M
- 14:52that's a thin line. That is a thin line. Yeah, no,
- 14:56facts do you mean do you think? Yeah? How do you think you
- 14:58manag yet? For me? You know that's something um that I especially over
- 15:05like the last year, who I've been really kind of like trying to take
- 15:13that step back and analyze, um, you know, what I take in
- 15:20calls and how I handled that those kind of situations. So for example,
- 15:24you know, um, before I was a very very what do you call
- 15:31it, I'm a cancer by nature? I said this earlier and something I
- 15:33posted on so I'm a canna by nature, which kind of trickles down to
- 15:39me being like very but that and so when someone has a situation, if
- 15:43I'm able to help them and I see them as somebody I can be loyal
- 15:46to, then I will give you the shirt off my back, you know
- 15:50what I'm saying, because I just that's in my nature. But then I've
- 15:54realized, you know that you can't do that with anybody, you know,
- 15:58And so I've learned to kind of really filter out, um who I allow
- 16:06into that very small circle, you know, because at the end of the
- 16:11day, you know, I've gotten burned more time than I've gotten praised in
- 16:14those situations. So you know, I gotta just really move forward, think
- 16:19about myself and my peace and what's going to allow me to live my life
- 16:26not only happily, but you know what I'm saying, like peaceful, you
- 16:30know what I mean, Like where it's like I'm not concerned with things like
- 16:33that. So yeah, that's you're July fifteen. Yeah, yeah, And
- 16:40so I'm doing twenty first. So I'm on the custom. And no matter
- 16:42how I pretending to be a Gemini, every singing person who knows me in
- 16:45life knows I'm cancer. Same way if if if I go all in with
- 16:51you, I'm going on in with you, and then if one thing messages
- 16:55that up, it's a rap. Yep, exactly wrap complete rap. Over
- 17:00time, it went from eighty percent of complete rap to ninety percent a complete
- 17:06rap, to the point where now it's one if if it if something don't
- 17:11align how it's supposed to align between this one be said, I don't not
- 17:15know you anymore, probably one of my biggest flaws. But there's not a
- 17:18lot of people who do that in my life. There's no people who ever
- 17:22make a bad judgment on And like you said, sometimes it's family, and
- 17:26sometimes it's people you've known for a long time. You know, something I've
- 17:30really kind of not just accepted, but really just taking a step back and
- 17:37said, this is kind of how I want to move forward. Is you
- 17:41know I do right, I do good and if that doesn't work, no,
- 17:48sweat off my back less and learn. But at the end of the
- 17:51day, I know I did good. So you know, whatever happens in
- 17:56the end that I don't have to live within anything. You know what I'm
- 18:00saying that I did good, I moved on, and that's what it is.
- 18:04But on the flip side of that, the other end of it you're
- 18:08gonna remember that person that did good all the time. Oh yeah, and
- 18:11that's the person you just continuously keep looking out for and don't worry about no
- 18:18more. And you've been having this little secret struggle this whole time because Joe's
- 18:23mike hasn't e been playing. You know, what's do you want to know
- 18:26what I did? I win the settings, I win the audio and where
- 18:32it was checked stereo audio, I unclicked it. Yeah, oh chology.
- 18:40What were you saying though, Joe, that that that's technology for you?
- 18:44Dude? Yeah, this I've been having to adjust these settings a lot more
- 18:48like the last two or three times than before, you know what I mean,
- 18:52Like, I don't know what's going on with it, but yeah,
- 18:55that's all right. What you were saying, Quincy, Like it really just
- 18:59made me think of like all you could really do is is work your hardest
- 19:03to be as solid as you can be, and then as long as you
- 19:07do that, you could be at peaceful whatever happens next, you know what
- 19:11I mean. Like that's kind of how I look at it, Like it's
- 19:14like I know that I'm gonna do the most considerate thing to a fault sometimes,
- 19:22so I also I also know that that means that if you know,
- 19:26we have some kind of disagreement, it's very hard for me to understand how.
- 19:32You know what I'm saying, like you have a valid point of view
- 19:34because like Quincy said, bro I don't know if he said it on the
- 19:38podcast or he said it in a post, but like you know, when
- 19:42you consider somebody else's feeling so much that you put yourself in a bind so
- 19:48that they feel better, you know what I'm saying, that's something that you
- 19:52know, you got to really manage that because if not, you're going down
- 19:56a dangerous road because you just emptying your vessel. What I'm saying, yea,
- 20:02No, that's exactly what I was saying, is that you could now
- 20:04now you can recognize because you can recognize whos not real like that and who
- 20:10is? And I feel like those are people you don't got to worry about.
- 20:12And it's crazy because no matter if I know people, I know them
- 20:15for over twenty years, that I still recognize them. And I noticed there's
- 20:21still them, and I noticed whenever one of those situations have him like,
- 20:25hey, at this points them but they're at a certain level to me,
- 20:29And you know that mights me of a DMX quote he had on drink Chaps.
- 20:33He's like, no people and when you see him, believe them and
- 20:36you know they're gonna be exactly who they are. Don't ever, don't never
- 20:41think someone's not gonna be who they are. Yeah, and we probably said
- 20:45it before, but that leads into this balance and like I feel like over
- 20:48time you gain that, you recognize that a lot better. It was funny
- 20:52because like that's something that I always credit to win Worth. Like it was
- 20:57like very street, so you kind of got the you you kind of saw
- 21:04the rawest form of people's like real emotions and what they really thinking, what
- 21:08they really want to do, you know what I'm saying, Like you see
- 21:11it at it's like purest form, you know what I'm saying. It's like
- 21:15you you see every bad trait in different people, and they show themselves in
- 21:21different ways, but it's just so instantly recognizable. And it's like one of
- 21:25the things like for example, like growing up in the neighborhood like that,
- 21:29like everybody knows that there's one or two people that they're the steelers. They're
- 21:34in the steel all the time. When you can't go to a convenience store
- 21:38with them. You can't go to Walmart, you can't go nowhere with them
- 21:41because they're gonna steal for sure, for sure. And it was one of
- 21:45those things where like if you let the Steeler come to your house and then
- 21:49something turned up missing, and then you asking everybody, and then you over
- 21:52here like, man, you better not took my stile. Everybody looking at
- 21:56you like, bro, he's the Steeler. How would you let him in
- 22:00your house? You know what I'm saying. It's like, bro, when
- 22:03people show you who you who they are, believe them and act accordingly.
- 22:07You know what I mean? Everybody, not everybody, but a lot of
- 22:10people get this Captain saveohole kind of mentality with like everything in their life.
- 22:15Bro. Like they feel like they want to be the savior. They feel
- 22:18like they want to be like the bigger man and be the one that you
- 22:22know what I'm saying. Like they just always want to have this glow about
- 22:26them, like, oh, I always do the right thing and I'm the
- 22:29moral compass and all this stuff. And it's like, bro, that's not
- 22:33that's not what we're doing, you know what I'm saying. Some people just
- 22:36ain't for each other. You know what I'm saying. It's a very simple
- 22:40thing, like you don't got to force it. It's a it's a vibe
- 22:41thing. Yeah, that's facts. I will say that. Um you know
- 22:49that that quote. Uh, you know when somebody shows you are believing.
- 22:53I feel like we've all heard it before, but it hits harder every time
- 23:00the life experience. You know what I'm saying that sometimes it might take a
- 23:03few experiences for you to be like, Man, I knew that person was
- 23:07like that. I don't even know why I allowed myself again into that situation
- 23:11or this person already had these traits about them. I don't know how I
- 23:14even got caught up with that. But you know, life is always the
- 23:18best teacher. I just always say, try to learn from other people's experiences,
- 23:22and it's like a lot of times it beat them. Old relationships,
- 23:26you know, long friendships. You know something we've talked about before. The
- 23:30way that you know people in your proximity, it doesn't mean they for you.
- 23:33You know what I'm saying, y'all just happen to live in the same
- 23:36area at the same time. Y'all not obligated to anything. You know what
- 23:40I'm saying, it's just you know, you can choose to be cordial,
- 23:44you could choose to be friendly, you could choose to be best friends,
- 23:47you could choose whatever you want. But at the end of the day,
- 23:48the circumstance doesn't determine who you got to have around you for the rest of
- 23:52your life, now, you know what I mean. Yeah, it's some
- 23:55people. I hear them say something, I'm like, hey, man,
- 23:57that's not from your heart, bro. And I would never say anything like
- 24:02that to you, and I don't say anything like that about anybody. And
- 24:04I was like, that's just stuff you just need to keep to yourself.
- 24:07Man. Yeah, there's not even nothing serious, but it's just like saying
- 24:11things a certain way, like, bro, that's just it's like the same
- 24:14with people that choose to lie about little stuff just because yeah, you know
- 24:18what I mean, Like you're not even asking, you're not digging, you
- 24:21know what I'm saying, Like you're not even talking about the subject they're talking
- 24:25about, and they're just volunteering lives like okay, I mean, you know,
- 24:30like you're really they really just go out of their way to show their
- 24:33true colors, like the DMX thing, you know what I mean. That's
- 24:37what I don't. Never like I and I'm not trying to be what's to
- 24:44call it hyprocer, because you know, I was a certain way and I
- 24:47worked on changing and I changed, and I think I was consistent in my
- 24:51change. So I don't think that nobody ever won't change. But there's some
- 24:55people who if you don't ever see them trying to change, they're never going
- 24:59to change. And you gotta expect them to be themselves forever until you actually
- 25:03see change and witness it. And that's what I'm saying. I'm not I'm
- 25:07not gonna get and no one can ever do that. But it's a lot
- 25:11of work to do that. Yeah, man, A lot of people don't
- 25:14like to take ownership in their lives, you know what I mean. They
- 25:18want to act like they're in this thing that everybody else is shaping and they
- 25:22can't escape this and that and all these different things. And it's like brow
- 25:26it and even like that, you're creating your own you're creating your own world
- 25:30against you, which doesn't make any sense, Like you're the one living this
- 25:34life, create the world to work for you, you know what I'm saying.
- 25:38It's like, ah, man, like that's that's the thing, like
- 25:41what you were talking about, Like you can't explain that that to everybody,
- 25:45Like and a lot of people are just gonna even hit you with an excuse
- 25:48when you tell them that. And it's like, if you're hitting me with
- 25:51an excuse when I tell you that, you're a you already you're already lost
- 25:55on the concept. You know what I'm saying, Because it's like, Bro,
- 26:00excuses and things that happen in life. Bro, that's always gonna be
- 26:06there, always, always, even the laziest bum person can find a million
- 26:11excuses for stuff. Anybody, Like anybody, no matter how hard they work,
- 26:17they can make it seem like they don't got time for nothing. But
- 26:22somehow the people that do it just find the time. Yeah. I heard,
- 26:27I heard of the day that there is no such thing as issues,
- 26:30Like issues equal opportunity. In some way or another, everything is an opportunity.
- 26:37And I took that a little differently today. Facts it's like if you
- 26:42move in solid, ain't nothing bad going to happen. It's only going to
- 26:45be something that needs to be resolved. Yep, you know what I'm saying.
- 26:48It's also how you choose to look at stuff, because you know,
- 26:51I've seen people get a ticket and act like you know, they caught a
- 26:56case, and it's like, bro, this is like a regular traffic ticket,
- 27:00like money to the side, pade online like you did paid online.
- 27:07Yeah. Like, it's crazy how people create situations in their own head for
- 27:11certain things, you know what I mean. They make it seem so impossible
- 27:15or crazy when it's like, yo, you're making a whole, a whole
- 27:19three days out of something that can be resolved in ten minutes. Yep,
- 27:25it is man, That's something um uh that I try to teach my niece,
- 27:30Like she's here visiting, and just because she's here visy, I'm trying
- 27:36to remind her keep doing things things she likes, open up to things I
- 27:40like. It. It's crazy because I literally remember that makes I told you
- 27:42I made that I lost, Yeah, I made in front of her,
- 27:45and I told her while she's here, she's gonna pick ten songs of her
- 27:48favorite songs and she has a really good ear music and we're gonna mix a
- 27:55song together and then um we It's just like I'm trying trying to show her
- 28:00that you if you maintain like that level of just want to be creative,
- 28:06creativity. To keep yourself in the mind state, you find those good people
- 28:08who relate to you. Like she brought her drawing book. We're here here
- 28:12with her like drawing pencils, and like she's like I see her mind,
- 28:17and I'm like, bro, this is like this is what I wanted to
- 28:18be when I was young, and so I try to feed that, Like
- 28:22we did Legos together, and then I tell her parents and like, yeah,
- 28:26she's a Lego master. I'm like, that's crazy. I never knew.
- 28:27So now I want to go buy more Legos And like, Bro,
- 28:30that mindset, I think that feels you. That feels you up, man,
- 28:34and it allows you to get to a certain mind state and recognize that
- 28:40mind state within people. And I think that builds a good foundation to just
- 28:44keep continuing that, bro. And it's like that grounding mind state, Bro,
- 28:47just keep coming back to that. Yep. And and the dope thing
- 28:49about specifically that is she can consciously say, hey, I'm gonna occupy my
- 28:56time and always be around creatives, always be around artists, so that her
- 29:00reality becomes art you know what I'm saying. That's really what she wants to
- 29:03do. Bro. You recognize it immediately, dude, I'd even tell you
- 29:07that, and that's exactly what she wants to do. Yep. You put
- 29:10yourself in situations where there's other artists, where there's people making money off art,
- 29:12where either you're paying, you know, whatever the case is. It
- 29:15it's some kind of ecosystem in the in the sphere that you want to be
- 29:19in, you know what I mean. It's as simple as putting yourself in
- 29:23those situations and just making it happen because you're in control. Yeah, it's
- 29:30amazing seeing how creative she is. And I swear I have to read that
- 29:33to me. I don't know anybody else on her side of the family.
- 29:37It's only me messages in art side, and like where she like she just
- 29:41learns how to tag, I don't know, or like graffiti she just wanted
- 29:44to learn how to do. She drives like crazy, she reads like crazy,
- 29:47seeing an anime, She's everything like in just experiencing other creative mind states
- 29:53of the realities, and I'm like, yeah, that's so special. And
- 29:56she just turned four, team bro, I've had a good time experiencing that,
- 30:03and I hope to grow that into what we always talk about, and
- 30:07that mind state being I hope to contribute and growing in her mind stay yeah,
- 30:11cultivated and let her keep growing so she keeps you know what I mean.
- 30:15It's like keeping your mind open and always knowing that you don't know everything,
- 30:18you know what I mean. Like you're always seeking ways to grow,
- 30:22always seeking ways to to you know, have a better, more peaceful,
- 30:26more productive life. You know what I mean. You're trying to break certain
- 30:29habits you know. You know, I'll grow certain things, strength and strengthen
- 30:33certain things, and kind of it's almost like you got to detach yourself from
- 30:37your own life to understand what it needs, you know what I mean.
- 30:41Like if you if you if you're too emotional about her, if you're too
- 30:44attached to certain things without really like knowing or having to discernment to really say,
- 30:49hey, this is not good for me, then you know, maybe
- 30:52you need to seek some outside of help for that, you know what I'm
- 30:56saying. Like it's like I said, you you're in control, so whatever
- 30:59you're lacking, and you know that you need help in those areas you can
- 31:02attack. Nobody's holding you back, you know what I'm saying. And it's
- 31:06like it's like people would I say they want to, Oh, man,
- 31:07I really want to pick up this hobby. Like, I'm pretty sure whatever
- 31:11the hobby is, there's some kind of class, either cheap or even free.
- 31:15Because the library we're having a whole bunch of free classes that have a
- 31:18lot of information. You know what I'm saying, Like, you can pretty
- 31:21much get into anything that you want to, you know what I mean,
- 31:23It's just are you gonna prioritize in and are you gonna value your own life
- 31:29enough to say, hey, let's make this better? And then a lot
- 31:33of times, you know, like you said, like people like I had
- 31:37a call from a friend that basically, you know her I guess boyfriend or
- 31:44partner or whatever, separated and you know she was just kind of in the
- 31:49funk, and like, you know, we've all been there, man,
- 31:52We've all had those breakups that just kind of like have us down for a
- 31:55little bit. And you know, I was just trying to explain. So
- 31:57I'm like, Yo, this ain't probably ain't gonna be your last time feeling
- 32:00like this, you know what I'm saying, Like, Yeah, I highly
- 32:05doubt the next person you meet will be the one. They might be,
- 32:07but I can't give you one hundred percent guarantee that's going to be the situation.
- 32:10But at the end of the day, what's done is done, and
- 32:15your life is going to go on tomorrow with or without that person. So
- 32:19what are you going to do today to continue your life without that person?
- 32:22And you know, she was kind of like she kept going back to you
- 32:27know, but I mean this person was, you know, the only person
- 32:30I could do talk to And I don't know if I'm gonna talk to now,
- 32:32but I'm like talking to yourself, you know what I'm saying, Like
- 32:36get to know you, like if you weren't. It goes back to the
- 32:39Leicester's the comfortable song that he wrote, you know, or he put together
- 32:43like you know, he said he based it off of the sick of being
- 32:45lonely every night, you know what I'm saying, Like that song, it's
- 32:49like, bro, like just because you were reliant on that person, because
- 32:52they were a part of your life, doesn't mean that if y'all separate,
- 32:57what are you going to do now? What were you doing before? You
- 33:00know? And it's like she kept trying to fall into that feel bad for
- 33:07me or feel sorry for me, and I'm like, I'm not about to
- 33:10entertain that, because at the end of the day, did you call me
- 33:15to vent or did you call me for a solution? And if I'm giving
- 33:17you the solution, you know what I'm saying, go do something that you
- 33:21love to do. Go go find, you know, rEFInd whatever passions that
- 33:24you used to be into when you had the time by yourself. Go figure
- 33:28out why you need to be around somebody and not you can't be alone.
- 33:32Tap into that, you know what I'm saying. If I'm giving you these
- 33:36solutions and you don't want to feed into them, you want to keep falling
- 33:38back into the moping part and to feel bad for me part. I have
- 33:43nothing to tell you because you're not trying to grow from the situation and you're
- 33:45trying to soak into situation and that I can't I can't entertain that. And
- 33:51then like the craziest part of that whole thing is why do you have other
- 33:54friends besides me and Joe? Yeah? Real quick though, why are you
- 34:00doing other people? Dog? But listen real quick, because it's perfect.
- 34:04When you just said, going back to my Facebook memories, I said your
- 34:08fiance, me and Joe, Oh my god, yo, what were you
- 34:15saying? Joe? Something about what memory? What my Facebook memories? Other
- 34:20people? Dog like that, you're splitting time. Dog. Let's to be
- 34:28tight, yo, let's he didn't have it. Yo. Robin's gonna hear
- 34:31this and be like I knew it, I know it. Oh shit,
- 34:40my bad, Joe. Nah, what would I say? I don't remember.
- 34:45I'm not gonna lie some about memories. Oh the Facebook memory? I
- 34:51said. Sometimes with some real shit and we're close. Are right there?
- 34:53I said? I said this shit like in twenty fourteen, Dog, I
- 34:57said advice. It's something then you asked for already know the answer to it,
- 35:02and you don't want to believe it exactly. I just want to close
- 35:07it. That right there, I said that ship, I said that ship
- 35:12star STARp Butter, do not do not, do not. Terning
